WHILE DODGE CARAVAN WAS PARK IN FRONT OF DEALERSHIP BANKSTON FORD MINI VAN CAUGHT ON FIRE. NO ONE WAS IN VEHICLE AT THE TIME EXCEPT A PET. A PAGE OVER SPEAKER INFORMED ME THAT THE VAN WAS ON FIRE. BY THE TIME I REACHED THE SCENE "FLAMES" WERE COMING UP FROM THE FLOOR OF THE DRIVERS SEAT. "THE LEFT HAND FRONT CORNER" . PERSONNEL FROM WITHIN THE DEALERSHIP RAN OUT WITH FIRE EXTINGUISHER TO PUT FIRE OUT. DAMAGE REPORTED TO INSURANCE COMPANY . VEHICLE PURCHASE ON AUG 03,2012. INCIDENT OCCURRED ON AUG 22,2012 APPROX 1:00 THAT DAY.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ACTIVATED, THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL WARNING LAMP ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY DECELERATED INDEPENDENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE WHO DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE ATTEMPTED TO ACTIVATE THE HEAT IN THE VEHICLE BUT IT ONLY EMITTED COOL AIR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION WHERE THEY STATED THAT THEY COULD NOT DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,000.
START ENGINE, PUT INTO REVERSE, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND ESC LIGHT COMES ON. ONLY SEEMS TO EFFECT VEHICLE OPERATION WHEN DRIVING DOWN ROAD AND SLOWING DOWN TO MAKE TURN OR STOP. THEN IT SORT OF JERKS OR DOWNSHIFTS ROUGHLY. BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE USED ON JULY 13, 2012. THIS HAS HAPPENED 4 TIMES ALREADY. WHEN I TOOK IT BACK FOR THEM TO CHECK IT FOR CODES, THEY SAID NOTHING SHOWED UP AND JUST RESET IT. IT HAPPENED AGAIN BEFORE I GOT HOME. *TR
WELL FROM THE TIME I PURCHASED THE CAR I TOLD THE DEALER ABOUT THE IGNITION. THE CAR SPEEDING OFF WHILE I'M DRIVING IN A REGULAR STREET OR HIGHWAY. THE WARNING LIGHTS DOESN'T WARN . ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. RIDING IN THE CAR IN STREET YESTERDAY ONCE AGAIN THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED IN ME IN TRAFFIC AND IT SHUT DOWN. NO WARNING. SO DANGEROUS. THERE IS NO WAY THERE SHOULD BE SO MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME ISSUES AND THEY NOT HAVE A RECALL AND REPAIRS .MY ALTERNATOR ACTUALLY FRIED AND WE COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED ALONG WITH MY CHILDREN!!!! I'M SCARED. IM PAYING $500.00 DOLLARS A MONTH FOR A VEHICLE THAT IS SITTING AND I CAN'T DRIVE. PLEASE GIVE HELLO ME TO GET JUSTICE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONED, CAUSING THE DOORS AND WINDOWS TO FAIL. THE DOORS WOULD SLIDE OPEN AND THE WINDOWS WOULD OPEN AND CLOSE INDEPENDENTLY. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE DEALER COULD NOT IDENTIFY A PROBLEM WITH THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT WHEN THE DOORS WERE LOCKED, THE DOORS COULD STILL BE OPENED WITHOUT UNLOCKING THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT DID NOT CALL THE MANUFACTURER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 34,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL DEPRESSED TO THE FLOOR AND THE ENGINE EXHIBITED A LOSS OF POWER. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS INDICATING THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE RECURRED OFTEN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHO STATED THAT THERE WAS NO FAILURE AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT THEY WERE AWARE OF THE FAILURE FOR THIS MODEL, BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 34,110.
WHEN VEHICLE IS STARTED, ENGINE RPMS SURGE UP AND DOWN, WILL NOT SETTLE FOR ABOUT 1-2 MINUTES. SOMETIMES IT WILL CAUSE CAR TO LAUNCH FORWARD AND CONTINUE TO KICK FORWARD UNINTENDED ONCE SHIFTED INTO "D" I HAVE TAKEN VEHICLE TO SEVERAL DEALERS, ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. THEY HAVE DONE NUMEROUS REPAIRS, BUT UNABLE TO FIND A FIX. PROBLEM HAS PROGRESSED TO MISFIRE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS WHICH CAUSES A VIOLENT SHAKE UNTIL I MANUALLY DOWNSHIFT (WITH ELECTRIC SHIFTER) I HAVE MADE FORMAL COMPLAINTS TO CHRYSLER, BUT NO CALL BACKS. DEALER HAS FOUND CODES P0300, AND P0301 PENDING, STORED, AND ACTIVE ON VARIOUS TIMES. ACCORDING TO CHRYSLER MASTER TECH, CHRYSLER KNOWS OF DEFECT AND EFFECTS EARLY 3.6 PENTASTAR ENGINE, BUT HASN'T FOUND A FIX. WHAT MAKES THIS A SAFETY CONCERN, IS THAT I TO MERGE ON THE HIGHWAY, OR PASS A VEHICLE, I HAVE TO RACE THE ENGINE, AND HOPE THE ENGINE DOESN'T FAIL OR SHUT OFF. CURRENTLY, IM AWAITING ANOTHER APPOINTMENT WITH CHRYSLER, BUT KNOWING THERE ISN'T A FORMAL SOLUTION HAS ME CONCERN FOR THE SAFETY OF MY CHILDREN AS I DRIVE THEM AROUND. *JS
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON IN EARLY DECEMBER. DEALER RESET THE ERROR CODE AND SAID IT WAS PROBABLY NOTHING. LIGHT CAME BACK ON A FEW DAYS LATER SO WE BROUGHT BACK TO THE DEALER - THE CONSULTED WITH CHRYSLER AND REPLACED THE CAM PHASERS AND SAID THAT SHOULD FIX THE PROBLEM. WITHIN A COUPLE OF DAYS THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT BOTH CAME ON AND THE CAR LOST ALL ABILITY TO ACCELERATE. DRIVING ON HIGHWAY AT 70MPH, GAS PEDAL TO THE GROUND DID NOTHING AND CAR COASTED TO 50MPH BEFORE IT WOULD LURCH FORWARD AND COAST BACK DOWN AND EVENTUALLY CORRECTED ITSELF BUT LIGHTS REMAINED ON. DEALER CONSULTED WITH CHRYSLER AGAIN AND THEY REPLACED THE CAM PHASER SENSORS AND SAID THAT SHOULD FIX IT. WITHIN A FEW DAYS SAME THING HAPPENED, DRIVING ON HIGHWAY, CHECK ENGINE AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT TURNED ON AND CAR LOST ALL ACCELERATION AND COASTED DOWN TO 50MPH AND WOULD LURCH FORWARD AND THEN COST DOWN - RPMS WOULDN'T GO ABOVE 1300RPM AND COULDN'T GET ACCELERATION BACK. TOOK CAR BACK TO DEALER (FORTUNATELY WAS ONLY A FEW MILES FROM THE DEALER) AND THEY HAD IT FOR 2 WEEKS AND CHRYSLER RECOMMENDED REPLACING BOTH WIRING HARNESSES AND THAT SHOULD FIX THE PROBLEM. WITHIN A WEEK, SAME PROBLEM, DRIVING ON HIGHWAY AT 70MPH - CHECK ENGINE AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT COMES ON, NO ABILITY TO ACCELERATE OR MAINTAIN SPEED, CAR COASTED DOWN TO 50MPH AND WOULD LURCH FORWARD AND COST BACK DOWN. RETURNING CAR TO DEALER AGAIN (MID FEBRUARY). QUITE DANGEROUS TO (REPEATEDLY) LOOSE ACCELERATION AND WITH NO ABILITY TO MAINTAIN SPEED WHEN DRIVING AT 70MPH ON A HIGHWAY. *TR
THE SLIDING DOORS DO NOT HAVE AN AUTOMATIC STOP; WHEN THE KIDS GET IN AND OUT AND THE DOOR CLOSE BUTTON IS PUSHED, THE DOOR KEEPS GOING; EVEN WITH CHILDREN IN/OUT THE DOOR, ITEMS LAYING BETWEEN THE DOOR... I EVEN HAD MY HAND IN THE DOOR FOR TESTING AND THE DOOR WILL NOT STOP; IT WILL KEEP MOVING FORWARD TO CLOSE. WHAT A SAFETY ISSUE ESPECIALLY FOR A MINI VAN THAT IS DESIGNED FOR KIDS IN AND OUT. *TR
MY VEHICLE WAS TRAVELING AT APPROX 30 MPH WHEN ANOTHER VEHICLE PULLED OUT IN FRONT OF MY VEHICLE RESULTING IN A SIDE IMPACT. PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG DEPLOYED BUT NOTHING OR NO ONE WAS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. *TR
VEHICLE ROLLS FORWARD WITHOUT STOPPING WHEN IN REVERSE & THE BRAKE IS RELEASED & ON A SHALLOW INCLINE, WITHOUT ACCELERATING (VEHICLE NOSE DOWN SLOPE). TWO DAYS AFTER HAVING MY 2011 GRAND CARAVAN, WHICH I PARK IN MY DRIVEWAY THAT HAS AN ANGLE OF APPRX. 15-20 DEGREES & THE VEHICLE IS PARKED NOSE DOWN SLOPE TOWARD MY HOME & GARAGE. THE FIRST INDICATION OF A PROBLEM WAS ON ENTERING THE DRIVEWAY AND SHIFTING INTO "PARK", THE VEHICLE ROLLED FORWARD 6"-8" INCHES. THIS ISSUE STARTED 2 DAYS AFTER HAVING THE VEHICLE. PRIOR TO THE VEHICLE ROLLING FORWARD ALL VEHICLE OPERATIONS SEEMED NORMAL, THERE WAS HARDLY ANY ROLL AT ALL (1"-3" IN.) WHEN "PARK" WAS ENGAGED. THE NEXT CLUE OF A PROBLEM WAS THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD SHUDDER WHEN ACCELERATING IN "REVERSE" & AT LOW SPEED. THIS PROBLEM DOES NOT HAPPEN EVERY TIME THE VEHICLE IS REVERSING, BUT HAS BECOME MORE FREQUENT. WHILE DRIVING NOISE HAS BEEN DETECTED FROM SOMEWHERE BENEATH THE VEHICLE, BUT IS NOT HEARD FREQUENTLY, ONLY 2-3 TIMES. THE WORST ISSUE PRESENT IS WHEN THE SELECTOR IS PLACED IN "REVERSE" AND I REMOVE MY FOOT FROM THE BRAKE, WITHOUT ACCELERATING, THE VEHICLE CONTINUALLY ROLLS FORWARD WITHOUT STOPPING. IF THE VEHICLE IS IN "REVERSE" AND BEING ACCELERATED UP THE INCLINE AND I REMOVE MY FOOT FROM THE ACCELERATOR THE VEHICLE WILL ROLL FORWARD DOWN SLOPE WITHOUT STOPPING. THE CLOSEST COMPARISON IS THAT IT FEELS LIKE DRIVING A VEHICLE WITH A MANUAL/STANDARD TRANSMISSION. IT SEEMS THAT THE TRANSMISSION ISSUES IS GETTING WORSE AND I'VE ONLY HAD THE VEHICLE SINCE 14 OCTOBER 2011 AND FOR 772 MILES. THESE ISSUES HAVE BEEN BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE DEALERSHIP & THEIR SERVICE DEPT. & TO THE CHRYSLER, DODGE, JEEP CASE MANAGEMENT DEPT. I HAVE CONTINUALLY BEEN LIED TO BY BOTH DEPARTMENTS AND CALLS TO CASE MGMT. IGNORED/NOT RETURNED. MY FAMILY & I FEEL VERY UNSAFE IN THIS VEHICLE & HAVE LOST ALL TRUST IN DODGE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT RENTED A 2011 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, IT BURST INTO FLAMES. NO ONE WAS INJURED DURING THE FIRE AND THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS NOTIFIED AND EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. THE FIRE MARSHALL STATED DURING THE FIRE THE PASSENGER SIDE SLIDING DOOR WAS OPEN. THE CONTACT STATED THE SATURDAY BEFORE THE FIRE, AS HIS DAUGHTER WAS EXITING THE VEHICLE, THE DOOR BEGAN TO CLOSE ON HER. THE REST OF THE DAY, THE DOOR HANDLE WOULD NOT WORK, BUT THE KEY REMOTE AD THE DRIVER'S SIDE BUTTON WOULD OPERATE THE DOOR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND THE VEHICLE WAS VEHICLE INSPECTED; HOWEVER, THE INSPECTOR DID NOT FIND A DEFECT WITH THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 23,000. UPDATED 01/17/12 *BF THE FIRE DEPT. OBSERVED THE GREATEST AMOUNT OF HEAT DAMAGE IN THE AREA OF THE PASSENGER REAR DOOR. THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE INCLUDING THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT AREA WAS DAMAGED BY THE FIRE, BUT MOSTLY IN TACT. UPDATED 03/14/12
WHEN STARTING, THE ENGINE OCCASIONALLY MAKES A RATTLING NOISE AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND AFTER STATING THAT NO CODES WERE CAPTURED, THEY CLEARED THE CODE. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN SO I TOOK IT BACK AND THEY REPLACED THE CAM POSITION SENSOR, WHICH THEY SAID WOULD FIX IT. IT DIDN'T AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CONTINUES TO COME ON WITH A RATTLING AT THE START WHICH NOW OCCURS MORE FREQUENTLY. NOW THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT COMES ON AT THE START AND OCCASIONALLY WHEN DRIVING AT ROAD SPEEDS AND DRY CONDITIONS. THE VAN LOSES POWER AND IS SLOW TO ACCELERATE. I HAVE TO PULL OVER WHEN DRIVING, OR IF IT OCCURS AT STARTING, I HAVE TO SHUT THE VAN DOWN AND RESTART THE VAN AND THIS CORRECTS THE PROBLEM. THE NEXT TIME IT OCCURS, I WILL JUST DRIVE IT TO THE DEALER AND SHOW THEM BECAUSE THEY DON'T SEEM TO BELIEVE ME OR THEY TELL ME THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO. I SEE THAT I AM NOW NOT THE ONLY ONE THAT THIS IS HAPPENING TOO. *TR

WE HAVE NOTICED THAT BOTH SLIDING SIDE DOORS HAVE CAUSED LIKE EVENLY PLACED BLACK MARKS ON THE REAR WHEEL WELLS WHEN THE DOORS HAVE BEEN IN THE OPEN POSITION. BOTH DOOR INTERIORS HAVE MARKS WHERE THE DOORS HAVE MADE CONTACT WITH THE BODY MAKING THE FORE MENTIONED MARKS. WE HAVE MADE COMPUTER INQUIRY SEARCHING FOR "ANYONE WITH A DODGE GRAND CARAVAN HAVING ISSUES WITH THE SLIDING DOORS RUBBING?" AND HAVE HAD HITS ON THIS ISSUE. *KB

1). NOTICED THAT THE AREA AROUND THE REAR LEFT SIDE OF THE VEHICLE (INTERIOR) GETS HOT. IT IS NOT THE SPEAKER AS THE SPEAKER IS WORKING PROPERLY AND THE AREA GETS HOT EVEN WHEN NOT USING THE RADIO. MY CONCERN IS THAT IS THE SIDE WHERE THE GAS PUMP IS AND HOPING THIS DOESN'T CAUSE A FIRE OR EXPLOSION. OUR 22 MONTH OLD BABY SITS ON THAT SIDE OF THE VAN. 2) NOTICED THAT THERE ARE SCRATCHES ABOVE THE REAR WHEEL HUB ON BOTH SIDES OF THE VAN, FROM BOTH SLIDING DOORS. 3) THERE IS A HARD SHUTTER FROM THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION GOING FROM 1ST TO 2ND GEAR, WHENEVER THE SPEED HITS 10MPH. THE SHUTTER CAUSES THE VEHICLE TO HAVE A CLUNKING MOTION. 4) WHENEVER I START THE VEHICLE, THE RPMS WILL SHOOT UP AND DOWN AFTER 2 MINUTES, BEFORE GETTING TO NORMAL IDLE. *TR
WHILE ENTERING A INTERSTATE HIGHWAY, OUR NEW 2011 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN (LESS THAN 100 MILES) STALLED AND LOST ALL POWER. AFTER ALMOST BEING REAR ENDED DUE TO LACK OF POWER AND DUE TO HER SKILLED DRIVING, MY WIFE WAS ABLE TO GET THE CAR ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE VAN WAS UNABLE TO RESTART AND HAD TO BE TOWED TO DEALER WHERE IT HAD BEEN PURCHASED ONLY 6 DAYS EARLIER. ACCORDING TO THE DEALER, THERE WAS A FAILURE OF THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM). DUE TO THIS FAILURE, THERE WAS NO LIMP MODE OF REDUCED POWER TO KEEP THE VEHICLE RUNNING FOR BETTER CONTROL. DUE TO THE REPAIR BEING A WARRANTY REPAIR, THE DEALERSHIP KEPT THE DEFECTIVE PART. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH THE VEHICLE STARTED TO JERK FOLLOWED BY AN ABNORMAL ACCELERATION. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LAMP WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER A TOTAL OF THREE TIMES BUT THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. AS A PRECAUTIONARY MEASURE, THE DEALER DECIDED TO REPROGRAM THE CENTRAL COMPUTER AND REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION SENSORS. THE REMEDY FAILED TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT FURTHER REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 51 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 6,500.

BACKUP CAMERA DISPLAY IS NOT VISIBLE IN DAYTIME. DISPLAY IS TOO DIM TO SEE. DANGER OF BACKING OVER SOMETHING OR SOMEONE.
VAN STARTED TO PRODUCE VERY HARSH SHIFTING IN DRIVE. WHEN IN REVERSE AND IN A SLIGHT INCLINE THE TRANSMISSION STARTED TO SHUDDER AS WELL. EVER SINCE, TRANSMISSION WILL RANDOMLY SHIFT HARSH, SKIP SHIFTS AND UNDER A LOAD WHEN BACKING UP WILL SHUDDER ALL OF THE TIME. *TR

THE SCREEN IS TILTED WRONG...AND NEEDS A COVER... SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO BRIGHTEN THE SCREEN HAVE FAILED.... *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THEY ADVISED THAT THERE WAS AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE AND THEY RESET THE SYSTEM. LATER, WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY DECELERATED BEFORE STALLING. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE AND IT WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE SHE WAS ADVISED THAT THE CAM SENSOR HAD MALFUNCTIONED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. IN ADDITION, THE DRIVER SIDE REAR THIRD ROW SEAT BELT SUDDENLY LOCKED WITH A PASSENGER IN THE SEAT. WHILE TRYING TO LOOSEN THE SEATBELT, IT ONLY CONTINUED TO TIGHTEN AROUND THE PASSENGER. THE SEAT BELT WAS EVENTUALLY CUT AND THE PASSENGER RECEIVED MINOR BRUISES TO THE ABDOMEN AS A RESULT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AGAIN WHERE THEY REPLACED THE SEAT BELT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 1,500 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 4,200.
POSSIBLE TRANSMISSION SERVO ISSUE. AFTER SHIFTING FROM PARK TO DRIVE/REVERSE AND PRESSING ON ACCELERATOR THE VEHICLE WILL ABRUPTLY LUNGE IN THE DIRECTION OF THE SELECTED GEAR. THIS HAPPENS SO SUDDENLY THAT IT CAUSES PANIC TO ALL INSIDE/OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE. THERE ARE MANY OTHER OWNERS THAT I HAVE TALKED TO THAT MENTION THE SAME ISSUE, BUT THEY DON'T SEEM TO CARE AS MUCH AS I DO TO REPORT IT. THIS MAY CAUSE A VARIETY OF SITUATIONS TO WHY THIS IS UNSAFE. DEALER HAS TOLD ME THAT THIS IS NORMAL, AND NO CONCERN SINCE THERE IS NO RECALL. THIS IS VERY ABNORMAL, OR OUT THE NORM VERSUS OTHER VEHICLES WITH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION AND I DO NOT BELIEVE THIS AS THIS VEHICLE BEING UNIQUE AS IT IS MORE THAN ONE VEHICLE. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THE DEALER TOLD HER THAT CHRYSLER WOULD ONLY PROVIDE ONE PART PER WEEK FOR NHTSA RECALL CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 11V139000(ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: IGNITION SWITCH). THE CONTACT STATED SHE WAS ON A WAITING LIST WITH THE DEALER FOR SIX WEEKS. THE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE WINDOWS OPENED AND CLOSED INDEPENDENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE MASTER SWITCH HAD FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED ABOUT THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 34,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
TIRE VALVE STEM BROKE, RESULTING IN AN IMMEDIATE FLAT TIRE. THIS IS THE SECOND FAILURE ON THIS VEHICLE. I HAVE HAD THIS HAPPEN ON MORE THAN ONE OF THE SAME MAKE & MODEL OF VEHICLES. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REARVIEW BACKUP CAMERA WOULD NOT DISPLAY A BRIGHT ILLUMINATION ON THE NAVIGATIONAL SCREEN DURING THE DAY AND NIGHT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THEY STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS FUNCTIONING AS DESIGNED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE BUT PROVIDED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 17.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO DOWN SHIFT AND LUNGE FORWARD. WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS ENGAGED THE VEHICLE CURRENTLY DOES NOT INCREASE IN SPEED. THE CONTACT HAD TO QUICKLY REACT BECAUSE OF THE TRAFFIC BEHIND THE VEHICLE AND DRIVE ONTO THE EMERGENCY LANE AND SHUT TO THE VEHICLE OFF. THE CONTACT RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AND IT BEGAN TO FUNCTION NORMALLY. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER WHO WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSED THE FAILURE. IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE CONTACT DROVE AWAY FROM THE DEALER THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT DROVE ONTO THE EMERGENCY LANE OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. THE CONTACT HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO A DEALER. THE DEALER RAN A DIAGNOSTIC TEST AND A FAULTY TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE IS WHAT'S CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO SUDDENLY DOWN SHIFT AND JERK. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200.
