THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 87,000.
CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (CKP) YESTERDAY I WAS DRIVING DOWN TRAFFIC FILLED PLEASANT HILL RD. IN DULUTH, GA AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. WITHIN SECONDS I LOST POWER, I COULD NOT USE MY BRAKES AND STEERING. I ALMOST REAR-ENDED SOMEONE. I PUSHED THE START BUTTON AND THE CAR HESITATED. I TRIED ONCE MORE AND IT BEGAN TO START. I MADE IT TO ADVANCED AUTO AND THEY CODED IT ( P0335) HOME AND HAVE NOT DRIVEN THE VEHICLE SINCE.
"TAKATA RECALL" IT IS TO MY UNDERSTANDING THAT THIS TYPE OF VEHICLE SHOULDN'T HAVE NO ISSUE WITH THE ENGINE AT 98000, DRIVING AT 40 MPH THE ENGINE STOP WORKING AND NOW WE HAVE TO BUY A NEW TRANSMITION... HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE... THIS IS UNACEPTABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 DODGE JOURNEY. WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED, THE ABS INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND THE CRUISE CONTROL FAILED TO OPERATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE CONTROL MODULE FOR THE ABS SYSTEM NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED TO NHTSA. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 95,000.
BRAKE PEDAL GOES COMPLETELY TO THE FLOOR WHEN BRAKING. HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY, BRAKES WORK PERFECTLY FINE FOR 2 TO 3 WEEKS THEN OCCURS AGAIN. HAS HAPPENED 4 TIMES. COMPLETELY REPLACED BRAKE FLUID, CHECKED BRAKE PUMP AND BRAKE LINE FOR LEAKS, NO LEAKAGE VISIBLE. CAN IT BE BRAKE MODULE OR ABS MODULE THAT IS DEFECTIVE? VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION EVERYTIME SITUATION OCCURRED ON THE HIGHWAY.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE CONSTANTLY LOST POWER, THERE WAS A REDUCTION OF SPEED, AND THE SERVICE ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR FLASHED WITHIN MONTHS OF OWNING THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 11V487000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING), BUT THE REPAIR FAILED TO REMEDY THE FAILURES. HONDRU CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM OF ELIZABETHTOWN (2005 S MARKET ST, ELIZABETHTOWN, PA 17022, (717) 367-6644) INDICATED THAT THEY REPAIRED THE VEHICLE, BUT THE VEHICLE MADE AN ABNORMAL TICKING NOISE AND THE SERVICE ENGINE INDICATOR KEPT ILLUMINATING. THE DEALER HAD NOT PROVIDED A LOANER VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 119,000.
WHILE IN MOTION ON 7/25/18 THE VEHICLE STOPPED RUNNING, BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON, RADIO TURNED OFF, WIPERS STARTED GOING ON, AND LIGHTS DIMMED. TRIED TO RESTART AND WOULDN'T SHOWING BATTERY LIGHT, ABS LIGHT, SYMBOL WITH LIGHTNING BOLT, AND SAID IT COULD NOT DETECT KEY. VEHICLE WAS TOWED AND DIAGNOSED WITH CODE P0622, AND WAS TOLD I NEEDED AN ALTERNATOR. REPLACED THE ALTERNATOR ON 7/28/18. ON 7/29/18, THE CAR WAS RUNNING GOOD, AFTER ABOUT A HALF HOUR THE BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CAR SLOWLY STARTED TO SHUT DOWN WHILE IN MOTION WITH MY WIFE AND CHILDREN IN THE CAR. I THEN REPLACED THE BATTERY. AFTER DRIVING 2 MILES THE BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON, THE ENGINE STARTED TO REV HIGH AND GO LOW, OTHER DASH LIGHTS CAME ON, THE A/C TURNED HOT AND THE CAR STARTED TO COME TO A CRAWL.
WHILE NORMAL DRIVING ON HIGHWAY , MY [ ABS ) LIGHT AND THE SQUIGGLY CAR LIGHT COMES ON . THEN AFTER AWHILE OR SHUTTING CAR OFF AND RESTARTING THE ENGINE , THE LIGHTS GO OFF . THEN IT HAPPENS AGAIN FREQUENTLY ON A DAILY BASIS .
WOW!!!!!!!!!! IS ALL I CAN SAY, I CAN'T BELIEVE THE AMOUNT OF PROBLEMS THIS CAR HAS. WITH THAT BEING SAID I'M HOPING THAT SINCE I FINANCED THIS VEHICLE, THAT THE FINANCE COMPANY WILL HELP ME BECAUSE THIS DEALERSHIP "CLEARLY" SOLD ME A LEMON AND I'M SURE THEY KNOW IT IS. EVERYTHING ELECTRICAL IN MY 2012 JOURNEY STARTED SURGING TO THE POINT WHERE I THOUGHT IT WAS GOING DIE ON ME WHILE DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY HERE ON VANCOUVER ISLAND B.C. CANADA. I'VE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE PUSH BUTTON START ( SOMETIMES 4 ATTEMPTS TO START IT ARE NEEDED ) . I REALLY LOVE THE VEHICLE WITH THE COST TO REPAIR MODERN DAYS CARS, I THINK I WANT TO FIND A WAY TO RETURN IT ( IT'S ONLY BEEN 5 MONTHS SINCE I'VE HAD IT ) . THE DEALERSHIP SAYS IT'S PROBABLY THE BATTERY AND OFFERED TO REPLACE IT SO ON THE 27TH OF THIS MONTH, I WILL TAKE IT TO THE DEALERS AND TRY TO RETURN IT ALL TOGETHER. NONE OF US SHOULD BE HAVING ISSUES LIKE THIS AND I'M REALLY DISAPPOINTED WITH DODGE AND HOW THEY'RE "NOT" DOING MUCH TO HELP ANYONE. SADLY THESE VEHICLES ARE "LEMONS" AND SHOULD ALL BE RECALLED AND JUNKED IMO. SORRY TO HEAR SO MANY OTHER'S HAVE PROBLEMS TOO , JUST KEEP YOUR ROADSIDE ASSIST UP TO DATE LOL CAUSE I FEEL WE'RE "ALL" GOING TO NEED IT EVENTUALLY AND WHO WANTS TO BE STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE.

THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE SYMPTOMS RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 114,000.
I WAS DRIVING ON VERY BUSY HIGHWAY I-270 IN COLUMBUS OHIO MY CAR STOP ON ME ON THE HIGHWAY THAT HAPPENS BACK IN 2/14/2018 I STARTED IT BACK KEEP GOING LUCKILY NO ACCIDENT OCCURRED THROUGH THAT WEEK CONTINUE DOING IT I TAKE TO SHOP GET IT FIXED.ON 7/3/2018 HE STARTED IT'S AGAIN AM SCARED TO DRIVE MY CAR THAT AM PAYING FOR I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO HE COST MUCH LAST TIME I FIXED IT. HIS MAKING STRANGE NOISE FROM THE DASHBOARD OFTEN I DON'T KNOW WHERE THE NOISE IS COMING FROM AM REALLY SCARED TO PUT MY FAMILY IN ITS BECAUSE THAT OUR FAMILY CAR
OUR BACK-UP CAMERA GOES DARK FREQUENTLY OR FLIPS UPSIDE DOWN WHILE BACKING UP AND WE ALMOST HIT A CHILDT THAT RAN BEHIND US SUDDENLY. ALSO, THE VEHICLE WON'T SHIFT INTO LOW GEAR WHEN IN AUTOMATIC AND GOING UP HILLS, BUT SHIFTS IN MANUAL,AND IT SUDDENLY JUST SLOWS DOWN WHILE IN DRIVE, WHICH HAS CAUSED US TO ALMOST GET REAR-ENDED SEVERAL TIMES. FINALLY, OUR TIRE SENSORS SHOW LOW PRESSURE, BUT WHEN WE REPLACED THEM ALL THE TIRE SYMBOL STILL SHOWED UP. BECAUSE OUR ENGINE LIGHT IS ON, WE TOOK IT IN FOR A DIAGNOSTIC. WE WERE TOLD THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT WE NEED A SOFTWARE UPDATE THAT WOULD CORRECT ALL THESE PROBLEMS. WE WERE TOLD WE WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR IT, BUT IT SEEMS IT SHOULD BE A RECALL ITEM BECAUSE OF THE SAFETY ISSUES.
FAULTY ABS MODULE DUE TO WATER LEAK, RECALLED ON VERY MANY 2012 DODGE JOURNEYS. FOR SOME REASON, NOT RECALLED ON MINE. NOTICED BRAKE LIGHT, ABS LIGHT, AND TRACTION LIGHT CAME ON, I HAD A DIAGNOSTIC DONE BY MY OWN MECHANIC AND CONFIRMED OVER THE PHONE WITH THE DODGE DEALERSHIP THAT I WAS COVERED UNDER THE RECALL. AFTER DROPPING MY CAR OFF AND THE MECHANICS THERE NOT FIXING THE ISSUE, I WAS TOLD THAT MY VIN ACTUALLY WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THAT RECALL. SO MY ABS MODULE IS FAULTY FOR NO OBVIOUS OR APPARENT REASON. I RARELY DRIVE ON HIGHWAYS, I NEVER GOT INTO ANY ACCIDENTS, THE 3 NOTIFICATION LIGHTS AS NOTED ABOVE JUST CAME ON ONE DAY WHEN I TURNED THE CAR ON.
LAST WEEK I WAS DRIVING MY CAR AND IT FELT LIKE IT WAS GOING TO STALL AT A STOP SIGN. THEN THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON WHEN I STARTED DRIVING AGAIN. WHILE DRIVING ON A BUSY HIGHWAY MY CAR JUST SHUT OFF. NO BRAKES, OR STEERING. I HAD 3 KIDS IN THE CAR 2 BEING TODDLERS. I WAS ABLE TO PUT IT INTO PARK AND START IT AGAIN TO GET IT OFF THE ROAD. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THIS HAPPENED TO ME AND NOW I AM SCARED TO DRIVE IT. AS FOR ELECTRICAL MY CAR RANDOMLY SOMETIMES JUST CHANGES RADIO STATIONS, U CONNECT DOESN'T WORK. WHEN DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY IT WORKS FOR ABOUT A MONTH AND YOU CAN NOT USE IT ANYMORE.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN MY HUSBAND AND I SMELT A BURNING OIL LIKE SMELL WHICH WE THOUGHT WAS THE CAR IN FRONT OF US. NOTHING ON THE DASH INDICATED ANY ISSUES. WE ARRIVED HOME AND NOTICED IT WAS OUR CAR THAT THE SMELL WAS COMING FROM. I PARKED THE CAR AND CAME OUT THE NEXT MORNING AND NOTICED A SMALL WET SPOT UNDER MY CAR, THOUGHT NOTHING OF IT AND LEFT FOR WORK. AFTER WORKING ALL DAY I CAME OUT TO FIND ANOTHER SMALL WET SPOT AND ON THE DRIVE HOME THE SAME SMELL. MENTIONED IT TO MY HUSBAND WHO GLANCED UNDERNEATH BUT COULDN'T SEE WHERE THE MOISTURE WAS COMING FROM. DROVE MY CAR TO WORK THE NEXT DAY AND IT STARTED MAKING A LOW GROWLING NOISE. ARRIVED AT WORK AND HAD A MOBIL MECHANIC STOP AND INSPECT THE CAR WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED I HAD A CRACK IN THE TRANSFER CASE. PARKED THE CAR FOR ALMOST A YEAR WHILE I SAVED THE MONEY FOR THE NEW TRANSMISSION I WAS TOLD I NEEDED. GOT THE NEW TRANSMISSION INSTALLED ONLY TO DRIVE IT HOME AND HAVE IT START MAKING A CLICKING SOUND! HAD IT TOWED BACK TO THE TRANSMISSION PLACE WHERE THEY INFORMED ME THAT THE DRIVESHAFT IS BROKEN! DROPPED OFF ANOTHER DRIVE SHAFT TO HAVE INSTALLED AND IT IS ALSO NOW BROKEN. I HAVE A RECALL ON MY CAR FOR THE AIRBAG BUT I CAN'T EVEN GET IT TO THE DEALER TO BE FIXED BECAUSE OF THE TRANSMISSION / DRIVESHAFT ISSUES.

WHILE RAINING I HAD WENT TO TURN AND THE POWER STEERING HAD GONE. I HAD LITTLE TO NO CONTROL OVER MY 2012 DODGE JOURNEY. WARNING LIGHTS COME AND MAINLY THE AIRBAG LIGHT WHEN TURNING. THE BATTERY BEEN REPLACED AND I HAD A RECALL PREFORMED FOR LAKE OF WIRING COVERS. I HAVE TAKING IT TO TWO DIFFERENT DEALERSHIPS AND THEY DO NOT TAKE ME SERIOUS. ALWAYS TRYING TO GET ME TO BUY A NEW CAR. INSTEAD OF FIXING MY CURRENT ONE
TAKATA RECALL I WAS DRIVING HOME WHILE AT A STOP LIGHT I SMELT A BURN ODOR. I WAS JUST A 1/4 OF A MILE FROM HOME SO I DROVE IT HOME. UPON PARKING I NOTICED THERE WAS A SMALL SPOT UNDER MY CAR FORMING. ABOUT THE SIZE OF A QUARTER. CHECK ALL MY FLUIDS AND AND NOTHING WAS LOW. THE NEXT DAY IT STARTED AND RAN OK UNTIL IT WAS RAN FOR ABOUT 15 THEN ONCE AGAIN THE SMELL AND NOW A LOW GROWLING. I PULLED OFF THE ROAD AND PARKED AT A GAS STATION. I HAD A LOCAL SHOP LOOK AT MY CAR AND THEY DETERMINED MY TRANSFER CASE IS BROKEN. I HAVE BEEN HAVING ISSUES WITH MY CAR WHEN ACCELERATING IT WOULD PULL SHARPLY TO THE RIGHT WHEN IT SHIFTED GEARS. WAS TOLD THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY CAR. IT SHOULDN'T TRY AND CHANGE LANES WHEN YOU ACCELERATE. I HAVE ALMOST HIT THE CAR NEXT TO ME JUST BY ACCELERATING. I HAVE ALSO BEEN DRIVING ALONG AND HAVE MY CAR TURN OFF. I HAD TO COAST TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, PUT IT IN PARK AND START IT AGAIN. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON FOUR DIFFERENT OCCASIONS. THE STALLING HAPPENED ON THE HIGHWAY WHILE THE TRANSFER CASE WAS ON CITY STREET.

MASTERCRAFT GLACIER GRIP II TIRES 4 225 65 R16 INSTALLED 10/27/2016. LESS THAN 25,000 MILES ON TIRES AND 2 TIRES ON HAD TREAD SEPARATION. MINOR CRACK FRACTURES THAT LEAKED AIR OUT. I HAD TO KEEP PUTTING AIR IN TIRE. ONCE PUMPED UP TO TIRE SPECS HOLD AIR. SO DEALER DIDN'T FIND NOTHING WRONG TILL IT KEPT HAPPENING AND I MADE THEN DISMOUNT AND CHECK INSIDE AND OUT AND ALL AROUND. FOUND FROM INSIDE MICRO CRACKS IN TIRE TREAD. PER DEALER MANUFACTURE DEFECT.
MY VEHICLE ODOMETER WOULD JUMP FROM 0 TO 30 WHILE IN MOTION(FOOT ON PEDAL) AND VICE VERSA. WIPERBLADES STARTED ALL ON IT'S ON WITHOUT BEING TURNED ON. NO CURRENT IS BEING BROUGHT TO WHOLE ENTIRE VEHICLE. VEHICLE WON'T TURN OVER OR LOCK WITHOUT BEING HOOKED TO ANOTHER BATTERY. CAN JUMP START BUT ONCE CONNECTION IS OFF THE VEHICLE SHUTS BACK OFF. ALL LIGHTS FLICKERED ON AND OFF ON DASH BOARD WHEN THEY NEVER CAME ON THE 2 YEARS I HAD THE VEHICLE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO CROWN DODGE OF FAYETTEVILLE (436 N MCPHERSON CHURCH RD, FAYETTEVILLE, NC 28303, 910-920-9613) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BRAKE PADS WERE NOT FITTED CORRECTLY ON THE CALIPERS AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE PERSISTED. SEVERAL WEEKS LATER, THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WERE THE FRONT DISC BRAKE PADS WERE REPLACED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKE FAILURE OCCURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,644.

ON AUGUST 3RD 2017 I PURCHASED A 2012 DODGE JOURNEY WITH 32000 MILES. ON AUGUST 4 2017 I PICKED THE VEHICLE UP. I NOTICED THAT EVENING THAT THE FRONT RIGHT HEADLIGHT WAS NOT WORKING. I BROUGHT THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY FIXED IT. ON AUGUST 13, 2017 THE TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT CAME ON. I WENT TO FILL THE TIRE BUT IT SEEMED FINE. I FIGURED IT WAS JUST A SENSOR THAT NEEDED TO BE FIXED. AUGUST 15, 2017 THE CHANGE OIL LIGHT CAME ON EVEN THOUGH IT DIDN'T NEED TO BE SERVICED. AUGUST 17, 2017 AS I WENT TO PUT THE CAR IN DRIVE THE CAR SEEMED TO BE PULLING AND THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT CAME ON. THEN THE ABS LIGHT AND THE MAINTENANCE AWD LIGHT CAME ON ALONG WITH THE OTHERS. THE CAR WILL HESITATE TO ACCELERATE AND MAKES A KIND OF GRINDING NOISE OFF AND ON. THE LIGHTS DON'T ALWAYS STAY ON AND WILL COME OFF THE SCREENS BUT EVENTUALLY THEY DO COME BACK ON AND GRINDING UNDERNEATH THE CAR STARTS AGAIN.

WHEN I GOT IT BACK IT DROVE MUCH BETTER, BUT YET THEY STATED THEY DIDN'T FIND ANYTHING. I HAVE RESEARCHED AND THIS IS NOT AN ISOLATED INCIDENT. I HAVE A COUSIN WHO HAS A CHRYSLER T&C, SAME YEAR AND THE SAME THING HAPPENED AND AGAIN THEY COULD FIND NOTHING (THEY ARE THE SAME ENGINE.) I HAVE PUT A COMPLAINT INTO DODGE. I HAVE MY PAPERWORK FORM SERVICE AT DODGE, JUST UNABLE TO UPLOAD RIGHT NOW.
