TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 DODGE JOURNEY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE HAD TAKEN HER VEHICLE IN TO THE DEALER HAWK CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (7911 ROOSEVELT RD, FOREST PARK, IL 60130, (708) 405-9044) FOR AN UNKNOWN RECALL REPAIR REGARDING THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER. THE RECALL REPAIR WAS PERFORMED HOWEVER, CAUSED A FAILURE OF ONE OF THE PISTONS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE PISTON ROD PUNCTURED THE CYLINDER WALL CAUSING AN ENGINE OIL LEAK. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BACK TO THE DEALER AND THE CONTACT WAS QUOTED A REPAIR COST OF $8,000. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN CONTACTED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 114,000.
THE VEHICLE IS INOPERABLE BECAUSE THE ABS MODULE AND HEADLAMP WIRING NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE ONLY HAS 13,000 MILES BUT IS NO LONGER COVERED UNDER A WARRANTY. THERE WAS A RECALL FOR DODGE JOURNEY BUT THIS VIN IS NOT COVERED BY THE RECALL. ARE THERE MORE VEHICLES THAT SHOULD BE ADDED TO THE RECALL?
RIGHT FRONT HEADREST EXPLODED WHILE IN PARK CAR WAS NOT HIT OR MOVING
I OWN A 2015 DODGE JOURNEY 63000 MILES. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON A MAJOR STREET TRAVELING 49MPH THE CAR JERKED, DEACCELERATED ABRUPTLY AND THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME TIGHT. IT DID NOT SLOW DOWN IT DEACCELERATED. THERE WAS NO WARNING OR CODE ON PRIOR TO THIS HAPPENING. I WAS LUCKY THERE WAS NOT ANYONE BEHIND ME NOR ON A HIGHWAY. TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID IT WAS "FAILED CRANK POSITION SENSOR." IT HAD A CODE OF P0339. WE PAID DEALER TO FIX IT - OBVIOUSLY. I NOTICED THERE IS A RECALL FOR CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR ON 2016 DODGE JOURNEY - I BEG THAT YOU RECALL CANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR FOR DODGE JOURNEY 2015.
I WAS DRIVING ADOWN A CITY STREET AND THE PASSENGER SEAT HEADREST DEPLOYED WITHOUT ANY CAUSE.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE EXPRESS WAY I CHANGED LANES AND SUDDENLY THE CAR JERKED AND STARTED GOING FASTER, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STARTED BEEPING , I PUT MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE BUT THE CAR DID'NT SLOW DOWN FAST ENOUGH, SOON AS I LOOKED UP I CRASHED ON MY DRIVER SIDE, NO AIR BAGS CAME OUT...I DROVE THE CAR HM, THE SENSOR STARTED BEEPING LOW KEY BATTERY..I CHANGED OUT THE KEY BATTERY AND TWO DAYS LATER THE CAR START SAYING NO KEY DETECTED, I THEN CALLED A LOCKSMITH, THEY HAD ME BUY A NEW KEY FOB TO REPROGRAM..IT DIDN'T WORK, THERE IS SOMETHING VERY MUCH ELECTRICAL GOING ON WITH THIS VEHICLE.
THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE HEADREST DEPLOYED FOR NO REASON. VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN DRIVEWAY. THE SMALL PLASTIC PIECE IS BROKEN WONT GO BACK IN.
AFTER BEING HIT DEAD ON TO THE BACK DRIVER SIDE TIRE MY VEHICLE SWUNG AROUND AND HIT A POLE ON THE BACK PASSENGER SIDE DOOR THEN BOUNCED BACK BEFORE COMING TO A REST. THE AIRBAGS IN THE FRONT AND BACK DID NOT DEPLOY DESPITE HEAVY IMPACT ON BOTH SIDES OF THE VEHICLE. ENOUGH TO TOTAL THE VEHICLE AND CAUSE THE WHEEL AREA TO COLLAPSE. I CAN PROVIDE ADDITIONAL DETAILED PHOTOS OF BOTH SIDES OF THE VEHICLE IF NEEDED. THE OTHER VEHICLE WAS GOING FAST BUT I'M UNSURE OF THEIR SPEED AS I WAS CROSSING THE ROAD.*DT*JB
WENT TO GET INTO MY JOURNEY AND NOTICED THE PASSENGER HEADREST HAD BEEN DEPLOYED. THE VEHICLE WAS UNOCCUPIED AND SITTING IN MY GARAGE. THE VEHICLE HAD NO REASON FOR IT TO DEPLOY.
AFTER A HEAVY RAIN AND SUBSEQUENT RAINS, THERE WAS A HEAVY LEAK DOWN THE INTERIOR WALL BETWEEN THE FRONT SEAT AND THE BACK SEAT, FLOODING UNDER THE FRONT SEAT, DRIVER-SIDE FRONT SEAT, AND DRIVER-SIDE BACK SEAT FLOOR UNDER THE CARPET. EACH TIME THIS HAPPENED, THE CAR WAS PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY WITH THE WINDOWS UP. ALSO, SINCE THEN, THE DOOR LOCKS HAVE STARTED TO LOCK AND UNLOCK SEVERAL TIMES ON THEIR OWN AFTER I'VE LOCKED THE VEHICLE AND WALKED AWAY FROM IT. THE LEAK SEEMS TO BE IN THE ROOF SEAM IN THE DRIVER SIDE, WHICH SEEMS TO BE FAULTY. I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALER, THEY NEEDED MONEY UP-FRONT TO TRY TO FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM, WHICH I REFUSE TO PAY BECAUSE I BELIEVE IT IS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT. I CONTACTED DODGE THREE TIMES, THEY SAID SINCE THE CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY IT IS MY RESPONSIBILITY EVEN THOUGH IT IS A DEFECT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 DODGE JOURNEY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT UPON ENTERING HIS VEHICLE, THE PASSENGER'S SIDE HEAD REST DEPLOYED WITHOUT WARNING. THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE HAD YET TO BE REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
I have made several attempts to fix the continual misfiring, loss of power while driving performance to no avail. After spending thousands of dollars at the local Dodge dealership(s) and mechanics, I now have a car that is unsafe to drive due to known issues with the 3.6 Pentastar engine. This engine was recalled by Chrysler for years prior to my 2015 year. However, the Dodge cars like my Journey are experiencing the very same problems. I have reached out to my state of consumer department in Georgia. They have referred me to NHTSA as they have declared it a safety issue which outside of their scope.
I HAVE 94,000 MILES AND TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING
TRACTION CONTROL WARNING LIGHT, ABS WARNING LIGHT, SERVICE AWD MESSAGE CAME ON WHILE DRIVING 45MPH. A GRINDING/GROWLING NOISE WAS PRESENT WHEN SLOWING AND COMING TO A STOP FOR A SIGNAL LIGHT. ALL THREE WARNING LIGHTS REMAINDER ON WHILE DRIVING, WITH GRINDING/GROWLING NOISE CONTINUED UPON BREAKING TILL I REACHED MY DESTINATION. I DROVE 32 MILES FROM HOME TO WORK. I WAS DRIVING ON COUNTRY AND CITY STREETS, A CLEAR DAY WITH DRY STREETS.06 AUG 2020 THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN TAKE TO A LICENSED DODGE DEARLERSHIP ~ CARLIN DODGE, COLORADO SPRINGS CO IN JULY 2020 FOR THE SAME ISSUES. THE WIRING SLEVES WERE REPLACED AND TWO RECALL ISSUES TAKEN CARE OF, THEY STATED THERE WERE NO OTHER ISSUES FOUND ON THE VEHICLE. IN DOING RESEARCH THERE WAS A RECALL R62 DTC C2200-48 CONCERNING THE TRACTION CONTROL/ ABS WARNING LIGHTS IS THE ISSUE WE ARE HAVING WITH THE VEHICLE RELATED TO THIS RECALL ISSUE???
ON THE PASSENGER SEAT THE HEAD REST JUST POPPED OPENED FOR NO REASON. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AT MY HOUSE MY HOUSE WHICH IS ON E WARREN ST WITHIN 1 DAY OF THE HEAD REST POPPING OPEN. THIS NEED TO BE PLACED AS A RECALL. THE REPAIR COST IS TO EXPENSIVE.
THE CAR SHUT OFF ANYWHERE AND ALL THE TIME HAS ALMOST BEEN KILLED BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE
I WAS PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY WITH THE CAR ON AND I WAS TALKING THE MY KIDS IN THE BACK SEAT TURNED AROUND TO LOOK AT THEM WHEN I TURNED AROUND I HEAR A LOUD POP LIKE SOMEONE HAD HIT THE HEADREST BUT NOBODY HAD. LOOKED AT THE HEADREST AND IT HAD DEPLOYED WITHOUT WARNING. THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON AND SHORTLY AFTER THE INCIDENT. THANKFULLY I WAS NOT DRIVING OTHERWISE IT WOULD HAVE HIT ME IN THE BACK OF MY HEAD.
POWER SURGING OR FUEL SURGING DURING ACCELERATING. WHEN I TRY TO GET UP TO SPEED IT IS LIKE IT CUTS OUT ON FUEL AND SURGES.
FRONT PASSENGER SIDE HEADREST AIRBAG DEPLOYED RANDOMLY WHILE THE CAR WAS PARKED AND NO ONE WAS IN IT.
MY WIFE'S CAR HAS STALLED SEVERAL TIMES WHILE RUNNING IN TRAFFIC AT 55 MPH AND ABOVE. SHE EASILY COULD HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN A COLLISION. CAR HAS BEEN TO DEALER 4 TIMES FOR REPAIR, BUT STILL HAS SAME PROBLEM. CAR HAS UNDER 60K MILES.
DRIVER'S SIDE HEADREST DEPLOYED FOR NO REASON WHILE SITTING IN THE PARKING LOT AT WORK. NO ONE WAS IN THE VEHICLE AT THE TIME.
P0339 CRANK SHAFT POSITION SENSOR INTERMITTED MY ENGINE COMPLETELY LOST POWER. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS. THIS IS A RECALL ON THIS CRANK SHAFT ON 2012-2016 MODELS FOR DODGE JOURNEY. I WAS DRIVING ON A RESIDENTIAL STREET GOING 35 MPH AND MY CAR STALLED AND THE ENGINE LOST COMPLETE POWER.
I HAD JUST GOTTEN INTO MY CAR IT WAS STILL IN PARK I STARTED MY CAR AND PROCEEDED TO MAKE A PHONE CALL WHILE THE CAR WAS ON AND PARKED. WHILE TAKING I HEARD A LOUD EXPLOSION SOUND. IT SCARED ME AND I THOUGHT SOME ONE HAD SHOT A GUN. IT TURNED OUT THAT THE PASSENGERS SIDE HEAD REST HAD DEPLOYED FOR NO REASON. I AM THANKING GOD MY FATHER WAS NOT WITH ME THAT DAY AS HE NORMALLY IS. MY DAD HAS A SEVER TBI IF THIS HAD HAPPENED WHILE HE WAS IN THAT SEAT THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT THE FORCE WITH WHICH IT HAPPENED WOULD HAVE KILLED HIM.
THE HEADREST EXPLODED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION AND WITHOUT THE VEHICLE BEING IMPACTED BY ANOTHER CAR.
OUR CAR HAS A LOSS OF POWER STEERING ASSIST THAT REQUIRES EXTRA STEERING EFFORT, ESPECIALLY AT LOWER SPEEDS AND WHEN TURNING OR PARKING. THE STEERING WHEEL IS ALMOST COMPLETELY STIFF AND CANNOT BE TURNED WITHOUT USING EXCESSIVE FORCE TO TURN THE WHEEL. POWER STEERING WORK FAIRLY WELL ON FREEWAYS (PROBABLY DUE TO HIGHER SPEED). I CANNOT DRIVE THE CAR BECAUSE THE RISK OF CRASHING SEEMS PRETTY HIGH DUE TO THE INABILITY TO STEER.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 DODGE JOURNEY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AND AN UNDISCLOSED SPEED, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITH SEVERAL UNKNOWN WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED BY THE CONTACT'S SON, AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE CAMSHAFT SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. NEITHER THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 80,000.
THE PASSENGER HEADREST IS DEPLOYED OR SPRUNG OUT. THE PLASTIC HOLDING THE METAL PIN IS BROKEN. IT HAPPENED WHEN THE CAR WAS PARKED. *TR
I WAS DRIVING STRAIGHT DOWN THE HIGHWAY, APPROXIMATELY 40-45MPH, WHEN I HEARD A LOUD NOISE IN MY CAR (BANG) THEN FELT THE FRONT LEFT (DRIVER'S) HEADREST HIT THE BACK OF MY HEAD. UPON FURTHER OBSERVATION, I REALIZED THAT THE HEADREST HAD DEPLOYED ON ME. I WAS NOT HIT NOR WAS ANYTHING TOUCHING THE HEADREST. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS QUOTED OVER $400 TO REPLACE THIS SAFETY FEATURE IN MY CAR. *TR
WHILE DRIVING STRAIGHT TO WORK LAST NIGHT,I HEARD A LOUD POP. THE POP WAS ALMOST AS LOUD AS A GUN GOING OFF BESIDE MY FACE. IT SCARED ME,BECAUSE I WAS UNSURE WHAT HAD JUST OCCURRED. I LOOKED OVER AND NOTICED MY HEADREST ON PASSENGER SIDE HAD POPPED IN HALF AND UNABLE TO BE PUSHED BACK INTO PLACE. LUCKILY,MY OLDEST CHILD OR HUSBAND WASN'T WITH ME,OR IT WOULD PROBABLY WOULD HAVE CAUSED AN INJURY,OR AT LEAST SOME SORENESS. I HAVE BEEN HAVING ELECTRICAL ISSUES SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR NEW. CAR WILL NOT START AT TIME, BLOWN FUSES, BAD COOLING FANS, PCM ISSUES, TCM ISSUES, FUSE JUNCTION BOX ISSUES. CAR IS CURRENTLY AT THE LAREDO DODGE DEALER BEING FIXED AND THEY ARE HAVING HARD TIME FIXING MY CAR. 2015 DODGE JOURNEY WITH ONLY 55K MILES ON IT.*DT*JB
THE HEADREST ON THE PASSENGER SEAT HAD DISLODGED WITHOUT ANY MAJOR FORCE. THE PLASTIC THAT HOLDS THE BAR HAS CRACKED LEAVING THE HEADREST UNABLE TO SECURE BACK IN PLACE. THE TINY BAR THAT IS LOCKED INTO PLACE WITH TWO PLASTIC PIECES ARE STILL INTACT AND THE TWO PLACES THAT HOLD THE BAR HAS CRACKED OFF BOTH SIDES. WHILE MY DAUGHTER WAS SITTING IN THE BACK SEAT AND SHE LEANED ON THE HEADREST CAUSING THIS TO ACTIVATE AND HIT MY WIFE'S HEAD FROM THE BACK WHILE WAITING FOR ME IN THE CAR. *TR
WHEN I LOOK AT THE MESSAGE BOARDS FOR THIS DODGE MAKE OF CAR THERE ARE ENDLESS MENTIONS OF THIS PROBLEM AND SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT PEOPLE ENDLESSLY SPENDING MONEY TO FIX A PROBLEM THAT DODGE KNOWS IS CAUSING THESE PROBLEMS. JUST BOUGHT MY SON THIS CAR AND 3 DAYS LATER THE CAR WILL NOT START IN THE MORNING. SETTING IN THE DRIVEWAY AT HOME. WAS ABLE TO JUMP THE VEHICLE TO GET IT STARTED ONLY IT TO NOT START AGAIN WHEN RETURNING FROM WORK 6 HOURS LATER PARKED IN A PARKING GARAGE. DROVE OUT THERE HAD TO JUMP VEHICLE AGAIN. BOUGHT NEW BATTERY AND REPLACED CAR DID THE SAME THING 8 HOURS LATER, USED BATTERY CHECKED GOOD AS WELL AS THE ALTERNATOR. GOT ONLINE AND FOUND ALL OF THESE SUGGESTIONS TO OVERRIDE A SAFETY FEATURE IN THE CAR THAT SEEMED TO WORK FOR A LOT OF PEOPLE BUT DID NOT WORK FOR US. PLEASE LOOK AT ALL THE ONLINE COMPLAINTS FOR THIS SITUATION AND MAKE DODGE FIX THIS PROBLEM, I TRAVEL EXTENSIVELY AND MY WIFE IS SICK WITH CANCER AND I'M NOT THERE NOR IS SHE ABLE TO HELP WITH GETTING THIS FIXED EVERY 8 HOURS TO 3 DAYS DEPENDING ON HOW LONG IT LASTS. *TR
STOPPED AT RED LIGHT AND WHEN I STEP ON THE GAS PEDDLE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CAR STALLED, THE DASHBOARD, RADIO AND A/C WERE STILL ON. ATTEMPTED TO TURN ON CAR AND IT SHAKE TO TRY TO TURN OFF BUT WOULDN'T. TOOK IT TO CARMAX AND CAR WOULD NOT RECOGNIZED CAR KEY TO TURN ON. CARMAX THOUGHT IT WAS THE BATTERY AND IT WASN'T THAT. THEY SAID IT WAS THE FUEL PUMP, HAD IT REPLACED BUT CAR WOULD START AND IT TURN OFF LESS THEN 5MIN. CARMAX SUGGESTED TAKING TO DODGE DEALERSHIP FOR ENGINE TARE DOWN TO FIND OUT WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT. ESTIMATE OF COST TO REPAIR IS $3200-5300. CAR IS AT 77K-78K MILES ON IT. FROM WHAT I READ THIS IS WHERE THE CAR STARTS TO STALL UPON REACHING AMOUNT OF MILES ON IT. *TR
VEHICLE,IN GARAGE OVERNIGHT, WHEN TRYING TO ENTER VEHICLE IN THE MORNING IT WOULD NOT RECOGNIZE KEY FOB AND NO ELECTRICAL POWER IN VEHICLE. JUMP STARTED AND TOWED TO REPAIR SHOP. THEY DID AN ELECTRICAL SYSTEM TEST AND FOUND NO PROBLEM AND RECHARGED THE BATTERY. BATTERY WAS AT FULL CHARGE THE NIGHT BEFORE AND NO INDICATION OF ELECTRICAL DRAIN, NO LIGHTS LEFT ON. BATTERY WAS REPLACED 3 WEEKS AGO. ELECTRICAL TEST SHOWED BATTERY IN GOOD CONDITION, NO DEAD CELLS. *TR
DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE MY JOURNEY JUST 'SHUT DOWN.' ONCE GETTING IT TO A SHOP THEY INFORMED ME THAT THE ENGINE WAS PROBABLY THE CAUSE. THE VEHICLE IS AT 119,323 MILES AND DROPPED A CYLINDER RESULTING IN HAVING TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE ENGINE.
.SMOKING VEHICLE POWER SWITCH GOES OFF AND ON LOCKING VEHICLE WHILE I AM DRIVING OR HAS IN THE PAST GONE OFF AND ON LOCKING MY CHILDREN IN THE VEHICLES
MY VEHICLE HAS ABOUT 124,000 MILES ON IT. OUT OF THE BLUE ONE DAY IT STARTED SPUTTERING. I FIGURED IT NEEDED A TUNE UP SO I TOOK IT IN AND THEY TOLD ME I NEEDED TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALER. IT HAS TO DO WITH THE SIXTH CYLINDER MISFIRING. I TOOK IT IN MARCH AND THEY HAVE HAD THE CAR EVER SINCE. THEY HAVE NO PARTS TO FIX IT AND TOLD ME THAT IT IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THAT VEHICLE AFTER 100,000 MILES. THEY HAVE CONTACTED CHRYSLER TO MAKE THE PARTS FOR IT. *TR
I WENT TO TURN ON MY CAR AND IT WAS COMPLETELY DEAD, AND THE KEY WOULD NOT OPEN THE CAR. SOMEONE CAME TO HELP AND CHECKED THE BATTERY WHICH WAS FULLY WORKING PERFECTLY, BUT THE CAR WAS COMPLETELY DEAD STILL, NO POWER RUNNING ANYWHERE. I WENT TO GOOGLE THE PROBLEM AND LIKE ME THERE HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE GONE THROUGH THE SAME PROBLEM. IT SEEMS THAT THE CAR GOES INTO LOCKED-DOWN MODE BY ITSELF UNLESS YOU DISCONNECT THE BATTERY AND THE COMPUTER REBOOTS THERE'S NOTHING THAT WILL MAKE IT WORK. LOCALLY THIS HAPPENED IN MY BUILDING'S PARKING LOT, I DID UNHOOK THE BATTERY WHICH REBOOTED THE COMPUTER AND THE CAR TURNED ON.
STEERING NOT WORKING; VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN, ESPECIALLY TO THE RIGHT. SINCE 30K MILES THE POWER STEERING HAS INCREASED IN GETTING LOUDER AND LOUDER. WE COMPLAINED TO THE DEALERSHIP IN 2016. THEY CHECKED IT AND SAID EVERY THING WAS FINE, CHRYSLER SAYS IT'S JUST LOUD THAT'S ALL. WE'VE BEEN LIVING WITH THIS HORRIBLE NOISE FOR YEARS. IT'S EVEN LOUDER WHEN IT GETS COLDER OUTSIDE. AS IT GETS LOUDER, THE STEERING BECOMES MORE DIFFICULT TO STEER. YESTERDAY, WHEN PULLING ONTO THE HIGHWAY FROM A STOP SIGN, THE POWER STEERING ALL BUT QUIT TURNING TO THE RIGHT. INTERMITTENT WHEN TURNING LEFT. THE VEHICLE HAS 93K ON IT NOW AND IT IS TOO DANGEROUS TO DRIVE.
I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM PICKING MY SON UP FROM SCHOOL. AFTER MY SON GOT IN THE VEHICLE AND WE BEGAN TO DRIVE OFF THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE HEADREST DEPLOYED. WE WERE JUST LEAVING THE SCHOOL CAMPUS AND TURNING ON TO THE CITY STREET IN FRONT OF THE SCHOOL. WE HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO PUT THE HEADREST BACK INTO IT'S CORRECT POSITION. THIS HAPPENED ON OR AROUND THE 02.27.20. WE DID NOT HAVE TIME TO CHECK INTO HAVING IT FIXED/CORRECTED BEFORE COVID-19 HIT.

THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V273000 (STEERING) WITH THE FAILURE HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. MY SUV AUTO START NO LONGER WORKS AND AS I'M DRIVING THE CAR, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT RANDOMLY COMES ON WHILE THE CAR IS IN MOTION AND THE CAR ENGINE SHUTS OFF AND STARTS TO SLOW DOWN TO A COMPLETE STOP. WHEN IT GOT PLUGGED UP TO A DIAGNOSTIC MACHINE IT STATED THAT IT HAD 3 CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSORS THAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. VECHILE HAS 52000 AND IS A 2015
MY DRIVER SIDE HEAD REST HAS DEPLOYED FOR NO APPARENT REASON. THE CAR WAS PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY.
WHILE JUST DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD THE PASSENGER SIDE HEADREST DEPLOYED. IT DID NOT ELECTRONICALLY RELEASE, BUT THE PLASTIC GOING AROUND THE RETAINING PIN BROKE. PASSENGER WAS HIT IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD BUT NOT SERIOUSLY INJURED.
