KNOWING THAT CERTAIN MODELS OF JOURNEY ARE INCLUDED IN A STEERING LINES PROBLEM MINE IS NOT BUT IT'S EXPERIENCE SOME WEIRD ISSUES WHEN YOU TURN RIGHT IN THE STANDING STILL MODE IT OFFERS ABSOLUTELY NO ASSISTANCE FROM THE SYSTEM. YOU START RIDING AND THEN IT'S KIND OF NORMAL.THE PUMP IS NO LEAKING OR MAKING ANY WEIRD NOISES, ONLY WHEN YOU ATTEMPT TO TURN RIGHT IN THE STAND STILL POSITION IT MAKES A FUNNY NOISE FOLLOW BY NO ASSISTANCE WHATSOEVER. WHEN THE CAR IS IN CRUISE CONTROL IT WILL NOT STOP WHEN BREAKS ARE BEING HIT IT CAUSE THE CAR TO GO OFF THE ROAD AND ALMOST KILL AND THE WHEEL KNOCKED UP
THIS VEHICLE CONSTANTLY SHAKES AT ABOUT THE 50 MPH. ENGINE LIGHT STARTS TO COME ON AND THERE IS A HESITATION TO ACCELERATE. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND I READ SEVERAL OTHERS ISSUES WITH THE MISFIRE. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE BEFORE OTHERS ARE HURTS... VERY SERIOUS ISSUE
DRIVERS SIDE HEAD REST WENT OFF WHILE CAR WAS PARKED AND NOT IN MOTION. THE PASSENGER WENT OFF WHILE DRIVING ON FLAT SMOOTH ROAD ABOUT 9 MONTHS EARLIER
The contact owns a 2015 Dodge Journey. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the abs warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the driver’s side seat would independently raise up, lower down, or move backward while driving. The vehicle was not taken to a local dealer nor an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact replaced the brakes, the tires, and the throttle body, however, the failure recurred. The contact was relating the failure to NHTSA campaign number: 15V675000 (Electronic Stability Control, Service brakes, Hydraulic). The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 82,000.

THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ACTIVATED, THE TRACTION CONTROL WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED AND THE CONTACT LOSS CONTROL MOMENTARILY OF THE VEHICLE FOR A SHORT TIME. THE CONTACT REGAINED CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND CONTINUED DRIVING TO HER DESTINATION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. UPON INVESTIGATION, THE CONTACT ASSOCIATED THE FAILURE WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V432000 (AIR BAGS). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 143,000.
OIL FILTER ADAPTER HOUSING IS LEAKING. WE HAVE BEEN TOLD BY DEALERSHIP, THIS IS A NATIONWIDE ISSUE AND THE PART IS ON BACK ORDER FOR UP TO 4 MONTHS OR LONGER. AND WAS TOLD BY DEALERSHIP VEHICLE CANNOT BE DRIVEN.
I was driving and my driver's side headrest deployed. The following week my son moved the seat to vacuum and the passenger side head rest deployed.
VEHICLE KEEPS STALLING OUT WHILE DRIVING IN MOTION...LIGHTS THAT HAVE BEEN ON SINCE I PURCHASED THE CAR FROM AUTO LIQUIDATORS ABS LIGHT, ENGINE LIGHT AND ANOTHER LIGHT I DON'T KNOW HOW TO EXPLAIN. SOMETIMES IT RESTARTS SOMETIMES IT DOESN'T.
STARTED VEHICLE AS NORMAL. PULLED OUT OF DRIVEWAY ON TO RESIDENTIAL STREET AND HEAD WHAT SOUNDED LIKE SOMETHING HARD HITTING THE SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. WHEN I HAD THE CHANCE TO STOP AND INVESTIGATE IT WAS NOTICED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE HEADREST HAD DEPLOYED
RACK AND PINION STEERING BLEW OUT WHILE DRIVING. WILL COST $1500 TO REPAIR. THE 2015 DODGE JOURNEY HAD A RECALL FOR THIS, BUT THEY SAY SOMEHOW MY VIN IS NOT INCLUDED.
THERE IS A RECALL ON 2015 DODGE JOURNEYS FOR THE WIRING ON THE ABS SYSTEM THAT CAUSES THE WIRES TO GET CORRODED AND THE ABS NOT WORKING. I HAVE RECENTLY HAD THE ISSUE DESCRIBED IN THE RECALL YET MY VEHICLE DOES NOT QUALIFY FOR THE RECALL AND MY LOCAL DODGE REPAIR CENTER WANT ME TO PAY 1800.00 TO REPAIR SOMETHING THAT SHOULD BE FIXED UNDER THE RECALL AND NOW I HAVE A VEHICLE THAT I CAN NOT DRIVE OR I RISK HAVING AN ACCIDENT
Driver side headrest has deployed, and there was no warning or notification prior to this happening. I should not have to pay hundreds of dollars on a replacement if clips or what may it be to hold device together are faulty. 1st vehicle with this problem, and now my 2nd Jeep Compass has this issue as well. No accidents, just deployed.
MY 2015 DODGE JOURNEY HAS A TICKING NOISE WHEN I START MY VEHICLE. AND NOW THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON. WHEN THE TRUCK IS IN PARK OR STOPPED IT FEELS LIKE IT IS FLUTTERING OR PUTTING ALONG . THE TICKING NOISE YOU HEAR ONCE THE VEHICLE IS STARTED AND IT CONTINUES THE ENTIRE TIME WHILE DRIVING .

THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT UNDER RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ROCKY TOP CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE (3315 WINFIELD DUNN PKWY, KODAK, TN 37764) HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 149,000.
WHILE DRIVING MY ABS/AWD LIGHT CONTINUES TO COME ON. I CHECKED TO SEE IF THERE IS A RECALL FOR THE ABS AND IT SHOWS BUT DOES NOT COME UP WITH MY VIN. THE LIGHT COMES ON AND THEN THERE IS A KICK AND DRAGGING SOUND COMING FROM THE VEHICLE SO I STOP, PUT IT IN PARK AND TRY TO PROCEED AGAIN. I DON'T FEEL SAFE. I RECENTLY PURCHASED THE VEHICLE AND NOTHING WAS MENTIONED ABOUT THE ABS. THIS HAPPENS WHETHER I AM IN MY DRIVEWAY OR IN THE PARKING LOT A WORK.
MY VEHICLE BEGAN HAVING ISSUES SHIFTING GEARS AT 103,000 MILES. THE VEHICLE WOULD JOLT EACH TIME A SHIFT OCCURRED. IT SPECIFICALLY HAD ISSUES SHIFTING OUT OF REVERSE INTO DRIVE. THIS OCCURRED INTERMITTENTLY FOR A COUPLE DAYS. THEN IT BEGAN HAVING ISSUES SHIFTING WHILE ACCELERATING. I MAINLY DRIVE ON THE INTERSTATE TO AND FROM WORK, AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT GO OVER 45 MILES PER HOUR. WE IMMEDIATELY PARKED THE VEHICLE AND NOTICED TRANSMISSION FLUID LEAKING UNDERNEATH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A REPAIR SHOP WHO TOLD US THE TRANSMISSION PUMP HAD GONE OUT AND WE NEEDED TO REBUILD OR REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION.
Drivers headrest airbag deployed while driving injuring my head and neck.
HAD NOT STARTED THE VEHICLE FOR 1 WEEK. WITH FOB IN HAND I OPENED THE DOOR. WITH DOOR OPEN I PUT MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE (IT DID NOT COMPRESS), THEN PUSHED THE START BUTTON. THE DASH FLASHED ON AND OFF SAYING FOB NOT DETECTED. TRIED PUSHING FOB, TRIED STARTING CAR AGAIN. THEN A LOUD CLICKING BEGAN AT THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE IN THE MOTOR AREA. THE DASH FLASHING STOPPED AND ALL SCREENS WERE BLACK. NO POWER TO VEHICLE AT ALL, DOOR LOCKS DID NOT WORK. OPENED HOOD TO SEE WHERE CLICKING WAS COMING FROM, BUT COULD NOT DETECT. TRIED REMOTE START AND TRADITIONAL START AS WELL. NOTHING WORKS. ENGINE CLICKING FINALLY STOPPED AFTER ABOUT 10-15 MINUTES. CAR HAS TO BE OPENED WITH THE KEY AND WILL STILL NOT START.
I WAS SITTING AT A STOPLIGHT ON MY WAY HOME FROM WORK. THE HEADREST MADE A STRANGE CRACKING SOUND, AND THEN POPPED FORWARD WITHOUT WARNING.
THE CAR SLIPS OR JERKS WHEN IT SHIFTS INTO GEAR, USUALLY WHEN GOING FROM FIRST TO SECOND. IT IS AN AUTOMATIC AND THIS HAPPENS WHILE IT IS IN MOTION. THERE HAVE BEEN MULTIPLE MECHANICS LOOK AT AND THE TRANSMISSION WAS REBUILT TWICE BUT THE PROBLEM STILL PERSISTS.

THE VEHICLE DROVE AS IF IT WAS STUCK IN THE NEUTRAL WHILE HIS THE WIFE TRIED TO ACCELERATE. THE VEHICLE WAS GUIDED OFF THE ROAD AND WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S HOME. ABERNETHY CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE (1442 E MAIN ST, LINCOLNTON, NC 28092, (704) 732-1890) STATED THAT THERE WERE NO OPEN RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE AND ALL PAST RECALLS HAD BEEN REPAIRED. ANOTHER UNKNOWN DEALER SAID THE SAME AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO FILE A COMPLAINT WITH NHTSA. THE CONTACT RESEARCHED THE ISSUE AS A DEFECTIVE TRANSMISSION PUMP. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 108,000.
I WENT OUT TO THE CAR ONE MORNING AND THE DRIVER HEADREST HAD POPPED OPEN.
WAS DRIVING DOWN A NEW ROAD AT 35 MPH WITH NO POTHOLES AND MY DRIVER SIDE HEADREST EXPLODED AND STRUCK ME IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD. NOW THERE ARE BROKEN PIECES WITHIN THE ASSEMBLY AND IT WILL NOT CLOSE BACK! IT NOW PUSHES MY HEAD FORWARD WHILE *DT CONSUMER STATED HE REACHED OUT TO DODGE/CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP. VEHICLE IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY NOR IS THERE A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE.*JB
MY PASSENGER SIDE HEADREST RANDOMLY DEPLOYED WHILE I WAS DRIVING. CAN'T RESET IT OR PUSH IT BACK IN. SCARED ME HALF TO DEATH ON THE FREEWAY
IN THE PAST 3 YEARS, WE HAVE HAD TO FIX DIFFERENT CYLINDER MISFIRES IN THE SAME ENGINE. THE FIRST WAS DONE IN 2017, THE SECOND JULY 2020, AND WE HAD THE THIRD MISFIRE ERROR CODE NOVEMBER 2020. THIS HAS BEEN COMMUNICATED TO DODGE, BUT NOT SURE IF A RECALL SHOULD BE MADE FOR THIS, OR IF OTHER HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME. THE MOST RECENT INCIDENT HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING. THE ENGINE BEGAN TO STUTTER, THANKFULLY I WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT HOME WHERE AS SOON AS I DROVE INTO THE DRIVEWAY IT SHUT DOWN.
MY JOURNEY ONLY HAS 59000K MILES AND IT STARTED WITH A" KNOCK" NOISE WHEN I START ABOUT A MONTH AGO. MECHANIC TELLS ME THE "LIFTERS" ARE BAD AND THEY WOULD NEED TO OPEN UP THE PART OF THE ENGINE WHERE THE LIFTERS ARE LOCATED, I UNDERSTAND THERE ARE TWO DIFFERENT LOCATIONS FOR THE LIFTERS, THE FRONT IS PRETTY EASY TO CHANGE BUT THE SECOND LOCATION NOT SO MUCH. ALL WILL COST ME ABOUT $1500.00 TO REPAIR. IS THERE A RECALL?
MY 2015 DODGE JOURNEY FWD STARTED MAKING A WHINING NOISE OUT OF NOWHERE AND THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN WOULD NOT GO OVER 35 MPH. I TRIED TO MOVE IN MY DRIVEWAY AND ITS STUCK IN 1ST GEAR. I AM TOO SCARED TO DRIVE IT AND IT IS MY ONLY MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION. IS THERE A RECALL ON IT?
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND ALL OF A SUDDEN I FELT SOMETHING HIT ME IN THE BACK OF MY NECK. MY HEADREST HAD EXPLODED!
The vehicle intermittently shakes at about 45-50 MPH. It sounds and feels as if you were going at accelerated speeds over rumble strips. Sometimes this is followed by hard engine thumping. I have noticed during rain and days leading up to rain the issue is more predominant. There are also issues with misfires at idle that is unexplained by several mechanic shops (11 in a matter of 3 years). Because they are unable to recreate any of these issues they are unable to diagnose them. I have been to numerous shops while my car was within warranty and denied any fix due to none of them being able to recreate this issue. Now my warranty is up and the issue still persists even after thousands spent on attempting to get a diagnosis. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS! Complete stability and control of the vehicle is lost and WILL inevitably cause a serious incident. In the middle of the highway during misfires the cars ABS and Traction Control lights come on and the vehicle goes into low power mode almost instantly.
I WAS DRIVING 35MPH DOWN A STREET, NOT A ROUGH ROAD AT ALL, NOT BRAKING, WHEN I HEARD A LOUD BANG. AFTER I PULLED OVER AND INSPECTED THE VEHICLE, I SAW THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER HEADREST HAD EXPLODED OPEN. NO ONE WAS SAT IN THE PASSENGER SEAT AT THE TIME.
I WAS TYING TO GO TO LUNCH AT WORK AND MY CAR TRIED TO TURN ON THEN WENT DEAD. WHILE CHECKING KEY FOB WITH BATTERY IN MY HAND THE ENTIRE DASHBOARD STARTED GOING CRAZY. NOTHING WILL TURN ON AND NOW THE ELECTICAL SYSTEM IS JUST GOING NUTS.
AFTER PUMPING GAS I GET BACK IN MY CAR TO THE DRIVERS SIDE HEAD REST DEPLOYED. IT WAS IN PARK, I WAS NOT DRIVING, THERE SHOULD BE NO REASON THIS SHOULD OF HAPPENED. IVE TRIED TO PUT IT BACK AS STATED IN THE OWNERS MANUEL AND IT WILL NOT LOCK BACK IN PLACE. IVE CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND THIS COST $500 OR MORE TO REPAIR. DODGE NEEDS TO HAVE A RECALL ON THIS!!! IF I WOULD HAVE BEEN DRIVING THIS COULD OF CAUSED ME TO GET IN AN ACCIDENT. THIS REALLY NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED!!!

THE PASSENGER HEADREST POPPED WHILE I WAS RIDING IN THE SEAT.
STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS NO LONGER WORKING, HORN WILL NOT WORK AND AIR BAG LIGHT IS RANDOMLY COMING ON AND OFF. I BELIEVE THAT THE CLOCK SPRING MECHANISM IS FAULTY AND HAS CAUSED WIRING TO BECOME WORN DO TO POOR QUALITY OF PART AND INSTALLATION DURING MANUFACTURING. THIS VEHICLE IS NOT EVEN 5 YEARS OLD,SO PROBLEMS WITH MAJOR SAFETY COMPONENTS AND CONTROLS ARE THE DIRECT LACK OF QUALITY CONTROL UPON INSTALLATION. OTHER RECALLS RELATED TO SIMILAR ISSUES AND VEHICLE TYPE ARE CONSISTENT FROM MANUFACTURER. DO TO THE OVER ALL SAFETY HAZARD OF THIS FAULT I WOULD EXPECT THE MANUFACTURE TO HELP ASSIST IN REPAIR TO AVOID POSSIBLE INJURIES AND LAW SUITS. WE SLID A FOLDING TABLE IN FROM THE BACK OF THE CAR AND BUMPED THE PASSENGER HEADREST AND THE ACTIVE HEADREST RESTRAINT DEPLOYED.

MY CHILDREN AND I WERE STOPPED STUCK IN TRAFFIC ON I-75 N IN ATLANTA, GA HEADED TO THE NORTH GEORGIA PREMIUM OUTLETS WHEN MY DAUGHTER'S HEADREST DEPLOYED WHILE SHE WAS SLEEPING. THE DEPLOYMENT OF THE HEADREST WAS SUDDEN AND CAUSED HER TO WAKE UP FROM HER SLEEP. SHE STATED THAT IT WAS VERY PAINFUL AND CAUSED HER NECK AND HEAD TO HURT.
WHILE DRIVING I HEARD A STRANGE ENGINE NOISE WHILE ACCELERATING ,THEN THE CRANKSHAFT,THE SERPENTINE BELT CAME OFF,THE STEERING WHEEL CAME RIGID OR STIFF BEFORE THE BATTERY WARNING SIGN GOES ON WITH A BIG OIL LEAK,THE CAR THEN STOPPED.
BOTH OF THE HEAD RESTS IN THE FRONT HAVE DEPLOYED AND THE PLASTIC PIECE THAT HOLDS IT IN PLACE HAS BROKEN INTO PIECES. BOTH HAPPENED WHILE CAR WAS STATIONARY.
TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING HAD IT LOOKED AT SEVERAL TIME AND CANT FIND ANYTHING HAD THE OIL CHECKED AND ITS STILL GOOD
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE IN A WET PARKING LOT THE ABS LIGHT AND STABILITY LIGHT CAME ON AND REMAINED ON. THIS HAS ALSO AFFECTED THE CRUISE CONTROL AS WELL. THERE WAS A RECALL ON DODGE JOURNEYS FROM 2012-2015 FOR THE SAME ISSUE VIN MAY NEED INCLUDED IN THE RECALL.
HEADREST ON PASSENGER SIDE DEPLOYED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY IN THE DRIVEWAY NOBODY IN IT.
CAR WILL STALL ANYWHERE AND ANYTIME AND DOESN'T GIVE YOU ENOUGH TIME TO PULL OVER. LOSE ALL POWER TO ACCELERATOR AND STEERING WHEEL. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON CAR WILL NOT SHUT OFF AND WILL NOT MOVE. IF CAR IS OFF IT WON'T START OFTEN BEING TOWED. CAMSHAFT SENSOR AND CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR HAVE BEEN REPLACED 3 TIMES WITHIN A YEAR. TRULY A SAFETY HAZARD ESPECIALLY AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. THE RADIO AND AIR CONTROLS HAVE A MIND OF THEIR OWN AFTER YOU MANUALLY SHUT THEM OFF THEY COME BACK ON OR START BLOWING OUT HOT AIR ON LEGS.
CAR WAS IN PARK AS IT WAS BEING CLEANED, WE MOVED THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT AND THE HEADREST DEPLOYED. UNABLE TO PUT IT BACK IN PLACE THE BECAUSE PLASTIC BRACKETS THAT HOLD THE METAL PIN ARE BROKEN.
CAME OUT TO MY CAR THIS MORNING, 09/06/2020, TO FIND THE HEADREST HAD DEPLOYED. THE CAR WAS PARKED IN OUR DRIVEWAY OVER NIGHT. I HAD DRIVEN THE CAR THE DAY BEFORE AND THE HEADREST HAD NOT DEPLOYED. THERE WERE NO ACCIDENTS TO CAUSE THIS.
FRONT PASSENGER SIDE HEADREST SPONTANEOUSLY POPPED OPEN WHILE STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT. NO ONE WAS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT, NOTHING HIT THE SEAT OR HEADREST, NO SUDDEN HARD BREAKING OCCURRED AND NOTHING HIT THE CAR. NOR WAS THERE ANY FORM OF ACCIDENT BEFORE OR DURING THIS INCIDENT. ABOUT 6 MONTHS LATER, THE DRIVER'S SEAT HEADREST SPONTANEOUSLY POPPED OPEN WHILE MY HUSBAND WAS SITTING IN THE SEAT. THE CAR WAS IN PARK AND WAS NOT RUNNING. SAME AS WITH THE PASSENGER SIDE, NOTHING HIT IT, THE SEAT OR CAR. NOR HAD THERE BEEN AN ACCIDENT AT ANY POINT.
