2015 FIAT 500 ABARTH. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARD TO TIRE SAFETY ISSUES. CONSUMER STATES TIRES PRE-DATE MANUFACTURE DATE OF VEHICLE WITH VEHICLE BEING SOLD WITH TIRES IN THIS CONDITION (SEVERE CRACKING, DRY ROT). *AS *JS
I HAVE REPLACED 2 CONTIPROCONTACT 195/45/16 TIRES ON MY FIAT 500. BOTH DEVELOPED BUBBLES IN THE SIDE WALLS. FIRST ON 1/30/2017 AT 16119 MILES. SECOND ONE ON 3/22/2017 AT 18818. BOTH WERE THE FRONT WHEELS AND NOTICED CHECKING TIRE PRESSURE . REPLACED BOTH FOR SAFETY REASONS. THIRD TIRE SEEMS TO BE DEVELOPING A BUBBLE AS WELL. I AM AT 19225 MILES NOW. WORRIED FIRSTLY ABOUT SAFETY SECONDLY EXPENSES OF REPLACEMENT. ALL TIRES ARE ORIGINAL TO CAR BOUGHT NEW EXACTLY 1 YEAR AGO . THANKFULLY CAUGHT BEFORE ON THE ROAD.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FIAT 500. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE HUBCAP DETACHED FROM THE WHEEL. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS WITH ALL THE HUBCAPS ON THE VEHICLE DETACHING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MULTIPLE DEALERS WHO WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE OR REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25,000.
