On June 13, 2025 my 2022 Ford Bronco and was involved in a serious collision in which the airbags did not deploy, the emergency braking and forward collision warning did not activate either. The second vehicle was t-boned at an estimated speed at the point of impact was 45mph. Both vehicles were a total loss. The Bronco suffered a bent frame and the passenger door would not open. The repair estimate was in excess of $36,000. I have reported the concern to Ford Motor Company under case number CXH-04933824-C1C3G9. At the time of the accident, there were no open recalls, warnings or notifications affecting the airbags or other safety systems. The vehicle was as-delivered by Ford from the factory with all regular service conducted by the local Ford dealership.

When turning right, with the turn signal active, the turn signal will over-correct back to neutral and activate the left turn signal. This happens almost every time a sharp right turn is made, such as leaving a parking lot. The signal stalk must then by manually moved back to neutral. This is repeatable and occurs multiple times a week. This creates risk by presenting a false left turn signal to other drivers. This is a common issue on the Bronco, but Ford Motor Company has not provided a fix, TSB, or Recall.
Rear passenger shock was leaking oil around braking system creating burnt oil smell while driving. At this point mileage for warranty was over by 2,000 miles and was not covered by Ford warranty. We had to pay over $900.00 for the replacement from Ford. Fast forward 2 months, on the freeway driving 70 mph, the rear driver’s side shock reservoir detached and almost hit the car behind us. Again, we are paying Ford again for the other shock. This recall really needs to be in forced a lot quicker because of the safety of other drivers.
When turning the steering wheel right or left going in a slight decline or incline the wheel seems to lock up or requires a hard pull to move the wheel, its now to the point my wife can no longer drive the car. I have almost run off the road one time and just this morning almost hit my neighbors mail box I am taking the car to the dealer but they say there is no recall, There are certain models of the same year that are being recalled, I think the company, slow in adding models of my type. I have stopped driving the car, Hopefully the dealer will fix it.k to the dealer and Ford and both say this problem is not part of the recall. the car has 27000 miles and is 3 years old.
Random cracks to my hard top with no damage
See attached document for complaint.
My vehicle is experiencing potential electrical issues which appear to be similar to the same 12-volt battery management failures that are currently recalled in the Bronco Sport models. The "Charging System Service Now" alarm continues to pop up, sometimes every 30 seconds. I am also not able to use my communication and navigation system, and I am not sure if this is related to the same electrical system malfunctions. Furthermore, on three recent occasions, my vehicle stalled while I was pulling out of a street which was on a slight incline, another while I was on a hill in a parking lot, and another while I was reversing and putting my car into 1st gear to drive. During all of these occasions, my vehicle stalled and did not automatically re-start which had me blocking traffic while I turned my vehicle back on. All of these issues have affected the safety of myself and my passengers due to the unexpected stalling as well as electrical power loss, including loss of navigation/communications. It has also resulted in me getting pulled over by law enforcement twice due to swerving while I was looking at the screen when it went black and the other because I was speeding because my Charging System Service alarm went off and I was also unable to determine the speed limit of that road without having my navigation screen working. I believe I have contacted the Ford Dealership regarding the specific loss of the communication and navigation issue and was told they did not have the parts/software available at this time. I have taken my vehicle to an Advance Auto Parts store when the "Charging System Service Now" first appeared and was told it was potentially the alternator. I will have to locate the documentation at a later time.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was an abnormal sound coming from the rear tires of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to two different dealers to be diagnosed and the contact was informed that the failure was related to the suspension. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The dealer contacted the manufacturer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the dealer that due to the mileage on the vehicle, the vehicle was out of warranty. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V025000 (SUSPENSION); for which the VIN was included. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 47,000.
Main instrument cluster panel goes completely black. Not able to see what gear vehicle is in, gas miles till empty. Digital speedometer is gone. If a safety warning pops up you cant see it. Started about a month ago and took it in for repair. Ford said it was a module and it was fixed for 2 weeks but it is now doing it again. Dealer is aware of the issue and apparently is happening in other Ford Broncos according to the main Bronco forum.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford Bronco. The contact stated while driving approximately 40 MPH in the rain and attempting to clean the windshield, the windshield washer fluid failed to operate as intended, and the windshield wipers became inoperable while driving approximately two weeks later. Additionally, the contact stated that she had noticed a fluid leak on the rear passenger's side interior door. The vehicle was taken to New Canaan Auto Body Inc., where it was diagnosed that the windshield wiper motor had failed, and the windshield washer fluid was leaking on the rear passenger's side interior door. The contact stated that additional diagnostic testing was being performed. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The dealer was not notified of the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 49,000.
I am on my 3rd Fuel Pump, it is currently at the Ford Dealership. My wife was accelerating through an intersection, making a left turn, when the engine shuddered, stalled and quite running. Luckily her momentum was able to get her through the intersection and avoid oncoming traffic. The Dealer has installed the 3rd faulty pump with the previous pump only lasting 3 months. Upon research this is a widespread manufacturing issues with the 2.7 ecoboost. I firmly believe this engine/fuel pump should be recalled due to the frequent malfunctions.
The D-pillar clips are flimsy and break easily resulting in a soft top back panel that is no longer water proof and could fall apart.
Driving in wet sticky snow the unheated LED headlamps collect snow quickly and provide almost zero projection of light forward. When driving in areas without overhead lighting at night this becomes a serious safety concern and may lead to a serious accident when drivers cannot see any possible obstructions in the roadway or accurately see the edge of the road surface. Have been unable to demonstrate this flaw to any dealers due to snow being unpredictable and dealerships being closed at night. I do have dash cam video showing the issue that can be provided for review, video uploaded to youtube here [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Good afternoon! My car started having issues going in reverse before I received the recall notification. It would nearly stall out and happened a couple times prior to getting the notice. Once I got the notice, I reached out to the dealer to see if anything could be done and was told no, not yet. Now, months later, it has gotten so bad that I am having to leave my house when it's cool (it doesn't stall as bad when it's cool out), and park my car in a certain way each day to ensure that I can effectively leave work without my car stalling. What is worse is that now, on hot days, my car semi-stalls, when I am driving on toll roads or back country roads on the way home. It loses power or jerks. I have an hour commute each way and this is NOT okay. Frankly, it is very scary sometimes. I have reached out to the dealership to ask them if it's safe for me to drive my car or if there is something they could do and I am constantly told that there is no solution, I have to wait, and they "legally" cannot tell me that it is safe to drive my car. They offered the option to rent a car, but I would have to pay a minimum of $45 out of pocket, per DAY, and I cannot afford to do that! I am already paying $600 a month for this car, now they want me to pay an additional $1350-$1395 a month just so I can feel safe? This has been going on for roughly 7 months. Who knows how long a "solution" will take. 7 months x $1350 a month = I would be out almost $9500 on TOP OF my car payment with no end in sight. I feel like this is moving at a snails pace. The problem is getting worse and I am getting the run around. No help is being offered to make me feel safe driving this car! They seem annoyed when I ask about it (I have only reached out three times in the last 4 months). The recall even says that it could stall while driving. So, honestly, what is it going to take for me to not die in a crash when my car stops on a high-speed road? Seriously. What can be done?
On 03/31/25 at approx. 12:45 AM our 2022 Ford Wild Trak was engulfed in fire while parked on our driveway. There were no occupants, and it had last been operated on 3/30/25 at approximately 1030 PM. During its last operation there was nothing abnormal to indicate the potential of a engine fire (no warning lights, messages, unusual smell or odors, performance issues, smoke, or fire). Upon observing the Ford Bronco Wild Trak for the first time the engine compartment was fully engulfed, and it was clear the fire had started in the engine compartment. The flames from the Ford Bronco Wild Trak eventually spread to a second vehicle destroying it down to the frame and causing enough damage to a third vehicle rendering it a total loss. All three vehicles were within 4 feet of our residence and the flames were hot enough it melted the garage door window frames. The Ford Bronco Wild Trak is frequently parked in our garage, and it been we would have lost our home and the lives of all four family member would have been put at risk. Researching Ford Bronco Wild Trak engine fires, we discovered that Ford Bronco Sports and Ford Escapes both have recalls due to faulty fuel injectors resulting in engine fires. The fuel injectors in Ford Bronco Wild Trak’s are similar to the fuel injectors in both the Ford Bronco Sports and Escapes. Due to the similarity between the Ford Bronco Sports and Escapes with the Wild Trak fuel Injectors we are asking for the NTSBA to initiate an investigation into Ford Bronco Wild Trak engine fires. The Ford Bronco Wild Trak can be retained for inspection if requested quickly as it is scheduled to be picked up by our insurance company and then disposed.
This is about Brake system and vacuum line linked Bronco. This is highly related to my own safety as when I go uphill or highway, this 'brake failure system' always is on and sometimes you are very hard to press a brake pedal as it's very stiff and not easy to press using your foot. But the thing is it comes and goes and sometimes it stopped and coming back. I today asked for a repair at dealership and they charge me 650 dollars as there's no official recall. Although it happened before my warranty's up and there's so many people suffering this identical issue but Ford didn't do anything and charge money to customers.

The vehicle is a 2022 Ford Bronco Badlands 2 door. It is under NHTSA recall 25V025, with no fix expected until later this year. The ride quality is bouncy, with some wobbling when going over bumps. Ford claims the vehicle is still okay to drive; however i am not comfortable with having to deal with the ride quality for the next several months
I would like to update my previous safety concern since both concerns are related to separate recall issues. This concern is related to my vehicle experiencing potential electrical issues which appear to be similar to the same 12-volt battery management failures that are currently recalled in the Bronco Sport models. The "Charging System Service Now" alarm continues to pop up, sometimes every 30 seconds. I have not able to use my communication and navigation system for months now which has caused continuous issues which first started with my gps taking me to a completely different location on several occasions. This has caused me to get lost, be late, and be distracted while trying to fix the navigation error. These electrical issues have affected the safety of myself and my passengers due to the potential for complete electrical power loss, including loss of navigation/communications. It has also resulted in me getting pulled over by law enforcement twice: Once, where I received a warning for failing to use my turn signal when exiting which was the result of my entire screen going black while I was using my GPS and panicked. The second time was for speeding: 1. I was distracted because the Charging System Service alarm popped up on my dashboard. 2. My navigation screen was not working which I what I used to monitor the speed limit and maintain correct speed when the sign was not visible. 3. According to research, this may have affected the accuracy of the speed gun since I did not agree with the speed the officer detected. Research into this issue did, in fact, indicate that electromagnetic interference caused by the electrical faults and alternator issues can produce broadband noise or EMI which may overload or confuse the sensitivity of the radar gun, causing a false speed reading. Yes, the Ford Dealership was contacted, and I was told they did not have the parts/software available to fix the electrical issue. A mechanic also indicated issues with the alternator.
My 2022 Ford Bronco (2.7L) currently has an open fuel pump module safety recall with no remedy available. Ford has informed us that there is no fix yet and owners must wait until a future repair becomes available. The dealership attempted to replace the fuel pump in hopes of improving the issue, but the repair did not resolve the problem and the vehicle now performs worse than before. The vehicle cannot be safely driven and is currently sitting in my driveway. Ford has acknowledged the issue under case number [XXX] but stated there is currently nothing they can do until a fix becomes available. This leaves us with a vehicle that cannot be safely operated due to a known safety defect with no available remedy. Hazardous Recall Issue Not Being Addressed Short Term With Permanent Safety Solution Many Months Away Creating Liability For Me, Destroying My Property and Putting Myself and Other Motorist In Jeopardy. For the past month fluid from my Ford Bronco has been leaking leaving stains on newly paved driveway. We just received the following recall... REAR SHOCK ABSORBERS MAY EXPERIENCE CORROSION BETWEEN THE EXTERNAL RESERVOIR MOUNTING FLANGE AND THE DAMPER BODY, RESULTING IN POSSIBLE SEPARATION OF THE EXTERNAL RESERVOIR. CUSTOMERS MAY EXPERIENCE... LEAKING FLUID NEAR THE REAR WHEELS PRIOR TO THE DETACHMENT OF AN EXTERNAL RESERVOIR. Safety Risk IF A REAR SHOCK ABSORBER EXTERNAL RESERVOIR SEPARATES FROM THE VEHICLE, IT CAN CREATE A POTENTIAL ROAD HAZARD FOR OTHER ROAD USERS, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH. Even though the notice says the recall resolution is not expected for over 6 months, I was willing to pay the deductible for my Ford Warranty to get the safety issue fixed, even if I never get reimbursed for Ford's vehicle issue. Since this is a safety issue and are fearful of the the reservoir tank separating since our vehicle is already loosing significant fluid from the reservoir. I brought my vehicle into the local Ford dealership and they confirmed the issue with my car is the same regarding the Recall notice. Even with the warranty, Ford has rejected the claim to replace the shock absorbers. So now I just have to wait while it destroys my driveway and hope a detachment doesn't occur and jeopardize either myself or others driving around me. For reference I'm including my warranty claim # that was rejected with Ford - [XXX]. Happy to provide VIN (instructions say not personal info here). Vehicle was shifted into 4L on a relative flat surface. Vehicle would not indicate successful transfer to 4L, just a blinking 4L indicator light and then a message to place vehicle in N and then pull forward. After unsuccessful attempt to engage 4L, tried to return to regular driving mode and vehicle would not. After turning car off and even disconnecting battery, vehicle would not function as expected. Returned to the vehicle and got a Powertrain Malfunction error and service message. Called Ford and had it shipped to Landers Ford in Southaven Mississippi and awaiting inspection.

There is a bulletin that ford sent out that includes wipers intermittently not working properly when detecting rain. The issue happens when the normal steady wiper speed is selected and the issue isn’t resolved until the wipers are turned off and on again then the issue persists. Ford will not cover this issue even with a bulletin for a car 2,000 miles over their warranty. Further more fords extended warranty they offer at their dealerships will not cover this issue as well even though it extends the manufacturer warranty. This is a safety issue while driving in the rain
While idling, the engine died. I attempted to restart several times with no luck. Battery was working, but engine would not start. Towed to Ford dealership and had to have the fuel pump replaced. Car had around 10k miles and recently went through an inspection.
I pulled up to a parking spot and when I tried to brake to place my car into park my brakes would not engage and my vehicle kept moving forward. I had to slam my car into park to prevent from slamming into a barrier. My rear camera goes in and out of a blank screen when “backing up” or reversing.
All metal components of the seat have rusted and corroded. The seat is no longer safe and its structural integrity is compromised. This is on the Black Diamond trim package where the interior of the car is marketed and sold as weatherproof with sealed electronic components, marine grade vinyl upholstered seats and drain plugs installed in the floor board to empty water from the floor boards Ford Motor Co has denied the bumper to bumper warranty on these seat components stating that the seat was exposed to moisture This is the ford bronco that is pictured in advertisements and marketing materials with no roof or doors installed, and has supplements and guide materials provided with the owners manual that outlines practices to drive through water / rivers My truck has never been through any standing water
The seat belt stem on the buckle receiver has corroded and snapped. This is on the Black Diamond trim package with marine grade upholstered seats, weatherproof electrical switches and buttons in the interior and drain plugs on the floor boards from factory. The metal stem of the seat belt receiver is bolted to the body of the truck, encased in rubber and has corroded and snapped in half. Ford motor co. has denied the bumper to bumper warranty on this part, stating that moisture exposure is evident . This is the vehicle that is marketed and intended to be hosed out with water to clean after off-roading . This is the same Bronco model that is pictured in advertisements with no doors or roofs installed visiting beaches, driving through rivers and climbing mountains It is obvious that the seat belt components have not been treated or coated with any enamel or coatings. From factory all seatbelt components are bare clean steel
The vehicle’s back-up camera completely malfunctions about 20% - 30% of the time making it completely impossible to see anything behind the vehicle when backing up. Sometimes, when the vehicle is put into reverse, the display screen will be completely dark, other times the image freezes on a load up image or screen and there is no display of what is behind the vehicle, and worst of all, other times the display will lock on the first image from the rear facing camera and not show real-time video of what is behind the vehicle, making the driver think it is safe to back up when it may not be. The vehicle has been brought to two different Ford dealerships three different times over the last two years regarding this problem. The first time I was told the problem had been addressed. The problem continued to occur. The second time, I was told the issue could not be addressed at that time. I was told that Ford Corp was aware of the problem but they did not have a fix available at that time. I was told that Ford Corp was working on software enhancements that would be available sometime in the future that would address the issue. The problem continued to occur. The third time I was advised the problem could not be addressed at that time and “Ford is working on additional software enhancements which are expected to be delivered over-the-air (OTA) by late Q4 2024” and “Software will update automatically if vehicle connectivity is enabled in the vehicle’s settings.” The problem continues to occur, so much so that I have several recorded videos of the problem occurring.
On [XXX] I was driving the vehicle during heavy rain. I commute 47 miles each way to work, when nearing my work location the car started to sputter like it was out of fuel and slowed to a crawl, applying pressure to the gas pedal had no impact - acted like it was getting no fuel, was able to pull vehicle over to side of the road. Vehicle would turn over but would not start - Check Engine light came on - codes displayed on code reader indicated that the high pressure fuel sensor and the low pressure fuel sensor were having issues. I had the vehicle towed to the closest Ford Dealer and they ended up replacing the fuel sensors and fuel pump. Thought that it was a faulty fuel pump. The Mileage I believe was 59516. On Wednesday [XXX] I was again driving this vehicle to work in a rain storm and at almost the exact same distance from home on the exact route the vehicle exhibited the exact same symptoms and the vehicle abruptly stopped running after shuttering to a stop with no fuel. In both cases the vehicle had a nearly full tank of fuel. The vehicle has been taken back to the Ford Dealership for repair. It appears that there is an issue when driving for extended periods on very wet roads water is entering the fuel systems electrical components and causing the system to fail causing a very unsafe driving condition. On December 11th the area had received 3.23 inches of rain in a 3 day period with the heaviest falling on the morning of December 11th. December was when Hurricane Helene passed to the west of our location in South Carolina dropping several inches of rain. Have made short trips in light rain with no issues, only in heavy rain and long distance. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
We were returning home from a trip. We pulled into a gas station to get gas. As we pulled up to the gas pump, we smelled smoke and then saw smoke and fire. We immediately turned the Bronco off and jumped out. Shortly after, the whole engine compartment area was on fire. Luckily, there was a tow truck in the parking lot and was able to drag it away from the gas pumps. I had gotten an oil change prior to our trip. There were no warning signals, lights, or indication of temperature or oil problems. I had intermittently smelled gas while driving during our trip, but my wife said she did not smell gas on the passenger side.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford Bronco. The contact stated that the front passenger's side seat frame bolt had detached within a week of purchasing the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a Ford dealer, where the bolt was reinstalled and tightened. Additionally, while driving 5-8 MPH in 4WD Low Mode, the vehicle made a beeping sound and stalled. I’ve complained to my local Ford dealer about 10-speed transmission issues including to several different service techs. There is a loud clunk and physical movement of the vehicle when shifting from park through to reverse and eventually to drive—it’s the P to R which is most noticeable. I’ve had 3rd party mechanics inspect the clunk, had Ford replace the driveshaft, conducted a trans fluid flush, but the clunk persists. I am concerned that one day, the vehicle will not shift out of park or potentially damage the transmission to an undriveable state outside of warranty. This has persisted for several years. I need Ford to replace the transmission and then conduct research into the issues with the old one once removed.
