THE CONTACT HAD TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD TO A COMPLETE STOP. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED A NEW COIL AND POWER CONTROL MODULE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75,000.
THE TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING AT TIMES WHERE IT WON'T MOVE AND SURGING AT TIMES WHERE YOU HAVE POOR CONTROL OVER THE VEHICLE. THIS JUST STARTED AT 88,420 MILES WHEN MY WIFE WAS COMING HOME FROM THE STORE. THE MAINTENANCE IS UP TO DATE ON THE ENTIRE DRIVELINE OF THIS VEHICLE.

BALL JOINT I SEE PREVIOUS COMPLAINTS ON THIS AND I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE INVESTIGATED AGAIN. IT IS THE SAME ISSUE NOTED IN THE PREVIOUS COMPLAINT FROM 2009. DO I NEED TO CONTACT FORD? DO THEY TAKE CARE OF THIS EVEN THOUGH THEY DID NOT DO A RECALL? THIS HAPPENS WHEN IN MOTION THERE IS FRONT SUSPENSION COLLAPSE

MY CAR DOOR IS CLOSED AND MY CAR WILL TELL ME THAT MY DOOR CAR IS OPEN WHEN IT'S NOT. IT LEAVES MY LIGHTS ON ALL NIGHT AND IT DRAINS MY BATTERY. IT ALSO LEAVE MY DOOR UNLOCK SINCE IT THINKS MY DOOR IS OPEN.

THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 102,000.
WHILE DRIVING ON A FREEWAY SUDDENLY A PUNGENT SMELL FILLED THE CABIN AND THAT WAS UNBEARABLE ALONG WITH A HUGE CRACKING SOUND THAT DIDN'T STOP... TOOK THE NEXT EXIT AND STOPPED AT A PARKING SPOT. TOOK TO THE FORD DEALER THE SAME DAY AND THEY DIAGNOSED IMMEDIATELY THAT THE PTU NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AND THAT'S A KNOW ISSUE WHERE ALMOST ALL THE FORD EDGES OF 2007 AND 08 HAVE THE PTU ISSUE. THE SMELL IS FROM THE OIL THAT LEAKED FROM THE PTU WHICH FELL ON THE EXHAUST. PAID AROUND $1800 TO REPLACE THE PTU. I AM WONDERING WHY THERE IS NO RECALL AS IT SEEM TO HAPPEN FOR MOST OF THE EDGES. CALLED THE FORD CORPORATE CUSTOMER CARE TO REPORT THE ISSUE AND THEY DIDN'T CARE TO LISTEN AND ASKED TO DEAL WITH THE LOCAL DEALERS. DIDN'T EXPECT THIS FROM FORD AND I WOULD REQUEST NHTSA ODI TEAM TO LOOK INTO THIS ISSUE AND FLAG THIS AS RECALL AS THIS COULD CREATE A SERIOUS CRASH WHEN IT HAPPENS ON A FREEWAY AS IT COULD SLOW DOWN THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY AND THINK ABOUT THE CONDITION OF THE INFANTS WHO COULD INHALE THE GASES. I LITERALLY HAD ISSUE INHALING FOR NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS AS THE SMELL WAS THAT BAD WHEN IT LEAKED. *TR

WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE POWER CONTROL MODULE AND THE COILS NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 138,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER TRANSFER UNIT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTIFICATION IN MARCH OF 2016. THE DEALER CEDAR CITY FORD LINCOLN (1010 N MAIN ST, CEDAR CITY, UT 84721) STATED THAT THE PARTS WERE UNAVAILABLE FOR THE REPAIR. MY 2007 EDGE STARTED TO EMIT A FOUL SMELL EVERY TIME I STEPPED ON THE BRAKES. IT WOULD SMELL LIKE SOMETHING WAS BURNING AND A COUPLE OF TIMES I PULLED OFF THE ROAD TO DOUBLE CHECK AND MAKE SURE THAT THE CAR WAS NOT ON FIRE. I TOOK THE CAR INTO A FORD DEALER TO HAVE THE FUEL TANK RECALL COMPETED SINCE THEY FINALLY CAME IN AND THEY NOTICED A LEAK IN THE PTU AND THAT IT WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED AND WOULD COST OVER $1350 TO BE REPLACED AND INSTALLED. THE PART ALONE IS OVER $800. FORD HAS HAD AT LEAST 3 SERVICE BULLETIN FOR THIS ISSUE AND STILL REFUSES TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR FIXING THIS SAFETY ISSUE.
MY DOOR AJAR LAMP COMES ON AT RANDOM TIMES AND WHEN I LOCK MY CAR FOR THE NIGHT, IT DRAINS MY BATTERY. I HAVE TO OPEN AND CLOSE THE DOOR NUMEROUS TIMES TO GET THE INTERIOR LIGHT TO GO OFF, BUT SOMETIMES THAT DOESN'T WORK. ONCE WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, MY DOOR AJAR LAMP CAME ON AND MY AUTO DOOR LOCKS UNLOCKED ALL THE DOORS. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON NOW FOR 2 MONTHS AND TODAY IT HAPPENED AGAIN.

TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL ON FORD EDGE TAKING TOO LONG. RECEIVED SEVERAL NOTICES THAT SAY SOLUTION NOT AVAILABLE. IT'S BEEN WELL OVER A YEAR. SON HAS A 2011 MUSTANG HE JUST BOUGHT IN JUNE AND HAS RECEIVED A LETTER IN FEBRUARY '18 FROM FORD SAYING THE CORRECTION FOR AIRBAG IS READY.

ONE MORNING MY FORD STARTED RUNNING ROUGH.A ROUGH IDOL. SHAKING IN THE BODY. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STARTED BLINKING. I TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC THAT MORNING TO CHECK THE COMPUTER. THE MECHANIC STATED IT READ AS A BANK ONE MISS FIRE.I REPLACED THE BANK ONE COIL AND SPARK PLUG FROM THE MECHANIC. THE CAR STILL DROVE ROUGH.I WAS ON MY WAY TO THE THE DEALER THE NEXT DAY, THREE OR FOUR MILES AWAY ,WHEN THE CAR SHUT DOWN ON THE HIGHWAY BETWEEN TWO BUSY EXITS. I LOST POWER AND CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THANKS TO THE STATE POLICE, I WAS PUSHED TO A SAFER LOCATION.I WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER FROM THERE.I WASN'T TOLD THE POWER-TRAIN MODULE NEEDED REPLACEMENT UNTIL AFTER ALL THE COILS AND SPARK PLUGS WERE REPLACED TWO DAYS LATER.
TRANSAXLE NOT HOLDING VEHICLE STATIONARY WHEN STOPPED ON A HILL IN DRIVE WITHOUT SERVICE BRAKE APPLIED. THE VEHICLE WILL BACKWARD (WON'T HOLD).
I WAS TRAVELLING WITH MY WIFE BEHIND ME AS AND SHE TEXT MY DAUGHTER THAT MY PASSENGER TAIL LIGHT WAS OUT BUT THE BRAKE LIGHT WAS WORKING. HOWEVER, WHEN I GOT HOME TO CHANGE THE BULB FOR THE MILLIONTH TIME ON EACH SIDE, BECAUSE I CHANGE BOTH AND NOT JUST ONE, I WENT TO PULL THE BULB OUT OF THE SOCKET AND IT WAS MELTED INTO THE SOCKET. THE BULB WAS HALF BLACKENED AND CHARRED ALL AROUND IT. I HAD TO PULL THE ENTIRE PLUGIN AND THEN WENT TO THE OTHER TAIL LIGHT TO DO THE SAME AND IT WAS ALSO CHARRED BLACK, BUT NOT YET MELTED INTO THE SOCKET. I HAVE FOUND OUT AFTER TONS OF RESEARCH THAT THIS IS NOT JUST ONE INSTANCE. THE BULB SHOULD HAVE BLOWN OR A FUSE SHOULD HAVE POPPED. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD AND COULD START A FIRE. THIS NEEDS ATTENTION TIME NOW! THE DEALERSHIPS WILL NOT HELP!

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED AFTER A RECALL REPAIR REGARDING THE FUEL TANK BEING REPLACED DUE TO CORROSION. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 116,310.
WHILE DRIVING ON A CITY STREET AND ON A STATE ROAD TRANSMISSION WILL ACT AND SOUND LIKE IT IS SLIPPING OR NOT ENGAGING IN GEAR AND SOMETIMES WILL ONLY WORK IN REVERSE.WHEN PROBLEM OCCURS VEHICLE WILL LOSE ALL POWER AND ENGINE WILL REV UP BUT VEHICLE WILL NOT MOVE. I HAVE HAD IT TOWED TO DEALER AND HAVE TAKEN IT IN TO DEALER, THEY SAY THEY CANNOT DUPLICATE THE THE PROBLEM. THEY ALSO TOLD ME THAT WHEN IT HAPPENS I NEED TO PULL OVER SOMEWHERE SAFE AND SHUT THE CAR OFF AND LET THE "COMPUTER/ SENSORS " RESET AND THAT WILL "TAKE CARE" OF THE PROBLEM. THE PROBLEM IS GETTING PROGRESSIVELY WORSE AS TIME GOES ON. I AM AFRAID IF THIS HAPPENS IN TRAFFIC SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET SERIOUSLY HURT OR KILLED AS THERE IS NO POWER TO GET OFF THE ROAD AND OUT OF TRAFFIC
I FIRST BEGAN TO NOTICE THIS ISSUE WHEN MY 2007 FORD EDGE, WITH 85,000 MILES AT THE TIME, CREATED A HISSING NOISE FROM BEHIND THE STEERING COLUMN AREA WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS PRESSED. EVER SINCE OWNING THIS VEHICLE THE BRAKE PEDAL FELT EXTREMELY SPONGY BUT I ALWAYS ASSUMED IT WAS THE DESIGN OF THE VEHICLE. AFTER THE PEDAL HAD BECOME EVEN SOFTER AND THE CAR BECAME HARDER TO STOP ALONG WITH LOUDER HISSING, I REALIZED THERE WAS A PROBLEM. I DON'T CONSIDER HAVING TO ALMOST STAND ON MY BRAKE PEDAL IN QUICK STOPPING SITUATIONS VERY NORMAL. I HAD THE VEHICLE LOOKED AT BY MY LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP SERVICE CENTER. THEY CONFIRMED THAT MY POWER BRAKE BOOSTER HAS A FAIRLY LARGE TEAR IN IT WHICH WILL ONLY GET WORSE AND EVENTUALLY FAIL UNEXPECTEDLY. I WAS TOLD THE COST TO REPLACE THIS BRAKE BOOSTER WAS ABOUT $1000 OR EVEN A LITTLE OVER. BEING A COLLEGE STUDENT WITH AN EXTREMELY TIGHT BUDGET, REPAIRING THIS IS OUT OF THE QUESTION. HAVING PREVIOUSLY PAID OUT-OF-POCKET FOR THE NUMEROUS OTHER REPAIRS ON THIS VEHICLE INCLUDING MULTIPLE PREMATURE IGNITION COIL FAILURES, BOTH MY SAVINGS AND PATIENCE WITH FORD HAVE DRIED UP. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD EDGE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION FAILED. THE VEHICLE JERKED AND LEAKED TRANSMISSION FLUID. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR INSPECTION. THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 107,000.
AT 60,000 MILES TRANSMISSION SLIPPING. AT 92,000 MILES NOT ENGAGING BETWEEN 3RD AND 4TH GEAR. COST TO FIX $3,000. AT 65,000, WATER LEAKING FRONT OF ON PASSENGER SIDE, SPRAYING AT TIMES. ALSO FLUILD LEAKING ON GROUND. FORD FIXED. AT 62,000 MILES, HEATER WENT OUT. AT 86,000 A/C WENT OUT. COST TO REPAIR $2,800. AT 84,000 MILES RING BROKE ON "BOOT". COST TO REPAIR $350. AT 91,000 MILES IGNITION SWITCH REPLACED. CKECK ENGINE STAYS ON. VEHICLE "CLICKS" AND THEN DIES. BIGGEST PROBLEM IS WHEN CAR WILL NOT START WHEN, AND WHEN CAR REFUSES TO GET IN GEAR WHEN TURNING LEFT. *JS
I WAS DRIVING MY CAR ON THE ROAD AND THE ENGINE STALLED WITH NO WARNING AND THE CAR CUT OFF. AFTER WAITING ABOUT 10 MINUTES, THE CAR STARTED AND I WAS ABLE TO MOVE IT TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT DIDN'T COME ON UNTIL AFTER THE CAR INITIALLY CUT OFF. I TRIED TO START THE CAR AGAIN ABOUT 20 MINUTES LATER AND IT WOULDN'T START AT ALL. FINALLY, AFTER A COUPLE OF HOURS THE CAR STARTED, BUT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS STILL ON.
MY CAR STARTED SPUTTERING ON FREEWAY ON CHRISTMAS NIGHT. SMELLED BURNING. HAD IT TOWED TO MY MECHANIC. HE INFORMED ME IGNITION COILS BURNED OUT. HE REPLACED THEM BUT CALLED TODAY AND INFORMED ME, CAR WILL RUN FINE AND THEN ONE OR MORE COILS WILL BURN OUT AGAIN CAUSING THE PROBLEM. HE LOOKED COMPLAINTS UP ONLINE AND FOUND HUNDREDS OF THEM AS I HAVE ALSO. WE CALLED THE DEALERSHIP TO SEE IF THERE WAS A RECALL ON THIS ISSUE BECAUSE THERE WERE SO MANY COMPLAINTS BUT NOTHING. (I FOUND OUT I HAD 2 OTHER RECALLS I NEVER GOT A NOTICE FOR.. GREAT)... READING THE COMPLAINTS BELOW FROM CUSTOMERS WHO HAS HAD THE EXACT PROBLEM IS WORRISOME BECAUSE THE DEALERSHIP IS AWARE OF THE ISSUE BUT STILL HAS DONE NOTHING TO FIX THIS. MY CAR IS STILL IN THE SHOP. IF THIS CAN ONLY BE FIXED AT THE DEALERSHIP AS DESCRIBED BY OTHER COMPLAINTS, I AM SCREWED AS THIS IS VERY COSTLY. FORD SHOULD BE REPLACING THIS AS THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE. I WAS TRAVELING AROUND 40 MPH ON A STATE HIGHWAY WHEN SPUTTERING AND VIBRATION ISSUES STARTED WITH 2007 FORD EDGE AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. STILL DROVE VEHICLE TO MY MECHANIC WHICH STATED COIL BURNED OUT AND SENT SURGE OF POWER TO THE PCM. MECHANIC STATED DESIGN OF PCM WOULDN'T STOP THE FIRING OF COIL AND NOT TO DRIVE VEHICLE ANY FURTHER OR IT WILL BURN TO THE GROUND. MECHANIC STATED ONLY THE FORD DEALERSHIP CAN INSTALL A NEW ONE AND REST THE CAR TO GET IT RUNNING. TOWED VEHICLE TO FORD DEALERSHIP WHO STATED THEY HAVE A TSB ISSUED FOR THIS PROBLEM AND THEY WILL NEED TO REPLACE THE PCM AND ALL 6 COILS BECAUSE THEY HAVE ALL MELTED. FORD DEALERSHIP STATED THIS WAS AN ON GOING PROBLEM DUE TO A FAULTY DESIGN OF THE PCM THAT WHEN A COIL BURNS OUT (COMMON WEAR AND TEAR AND $100 TO $200 FIX) THE PCM DOESN'T STOP FIRING TO THE COILS WHICH COULD CAUSE THE CAR TO CATCH FIRE. ESTIMATE TO FIX THE PCM AND ALL SIX COILS WAS $2,958. REASON FOR COMPLAINT - I UNDERSTAND WEAR AND TEAR ON A VEHICLE, BUT DUE TO A DESIGN ISSUE IN THE FORD/MERCURY/LINCOLN PCM, IT CAUSED EXTENSIVE DAMAGE AND REPAIR TO THE CAR AND POTENTIAL TO BURN TO THE GROUND. $100 FIX WITH PROPER DESIGN AND NOW $2,958 DUE TO PCM ISSUE. I AM REQUESTING THIS ISSUE TO BE REVIEWED FOR REIMBURSEMENT BY THE MANUFACTURER OR RECALL ISSUED. THANKS YOU FOR YOUR TIME.

HAD AN "CEL" CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COME ON FOR NO REASON. MY VEHICLE WAS RUNNING FINE ( EXCEPT FOR THAT LIGHT) TOOK MY VEHICLE TO THE KENNEDY FORD DEALER FOR A FUEL TANK CORROSION ISSUE ( A RECALL ) WELL THE RECALL WAS FREE TO INVESTIGATE BUT THE LIGHT APPARENTLY DIAGNOSED AS THE "TB" THROTTLE BODY. NOTICED FORD HAD HAD DOCUMENTED PROBLEMS BUT WAS TOLD BY FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSON THAT MY VEHICLE WAS NOT COVERED. WONDERING WHEN IF AT ALL ALL THEIR "TB'S" WILL BE COVERED? VEHICLE RUNS WELL EXCEPT FOR THE ALLEGED "TB" PENDING ISSUE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TURPIN SHAFT SPEED SENSOR AND OUTPUT SHAFT SPEED SENSOR WERE FAULTY. THE SENSORS WERE REPLACED, BUT THE VEHICLE LATER EXPERIENCED THE SAME FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 140,000.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE I WAS CUTOFF BY A DRIVER AND COLLIDED WITH A ROAD DIVIDER BARRIER. MY AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY AND NOW ONE OF MY PASSENGERS ARE IN THE HOSPITAL WITH INJURIES TO THE HEAD AND FACE.
THE HEATER CORE FAILS APPROXIMATELY EVERY TWO YEARS CAUSING THE EDGE TO OVERHEAT. FORD HAS REPLACED THE HEATER CORE THREE TIMES AND IT FAILED AGAIN AFTER 22 MONTHS, HOWEVER, THEY ARE SAYING IT IS OUT OF WARRANTY NOW AND THEY WILL NOT COVER THE COST OF REPLACEMENT. FORD IS AWARE THIS IS AN ISSUE WITH THE 2007 MODEL AND HAS RECEIVED OTHER COMPLAINTS. I AM CONCERNED THE OVERHEATING MIGHT CARRY POTENTIAL ENGINE FIRE DANGER.
SINCE I PURCHASED VEHICLE, WILL BE DRIVING AND ALL OF A SUDDEN NO POWER, CAR DOES NOT DIE OUT. IT IS STILL RUNNING, BUT YOU CANNOT GO ANYWHERE, WRENCH LIGHT COMES ON. IT'S DONE IT AT RANDOM, DEAL NEVER FINDS ISSUE. IT IS NOW HAPPENING EVERY DAY AND WILL THROW A THROTTLE BODY CODE, SAME ISSUE AS WITH OTHER FORDS. COMPLAINTS ARE ALL OVER THE INTERNET, DEALERSHIP HAS TOLD ME THEY'VE SEEN IT WITH ALMOST ALL FORD EDGES. IT IS THE THROTTLE BODY NEEDING TO BE RECALLED. THERE IS A FORD TSB ON OTHER MODELS OF FORD WITH THE SAME EXACT ISSUE. THIS CAN CAUSE A FATAL ACCIDENT AS THE CAR JUST STOPS ACCELERATING SO IT SLOWS DOWN QUICKLY. THE ONLY RESOLUTION IS TO SHUT IT OFF AND RESTART IT. THIS ALSO CLEARS THE CODE SO THAT'S WHY IT'S HARD TO TROUBLESHOOT AT THE DEALER. FORD NEEDS TO STEP UP AND DO SOMETHING BEFORE SOMEONE IS KILLED. I JUST DON'T DRIVE ON THE HIGHWAY ANY LONGER BECAUSE I'M AFRAID OF BEING REAR ENDED AT HIGH SPEEDS BECAUSE OF NEGLIGENCE ON FORD'S PART.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS REMEDIED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V682000 ( FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE) HOWEVER THE FAILURE RECURRED. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE ALSO OPERATED ABNORMALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE #6 COIL PACK, #3 COIL PACK, AND THE PCM NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 148,000.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS AND DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL TO STOP THE VEHICLE, THE BRAKES WOULD HAVE TO BE PUMPED IN ORDER TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKES WOULD BECOME DIFFICULT TO DEPRESS AND WOULD HESITATE TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. IGNITION COIL MALFUNCTION (MIS-FIRING) DURING HIGHWAY SPEED DRIVING CAUSING LOSS OF POWER, SMOKE AND BURNING SMELL IN ENGINE AND DISABLED VEHICLE. MECHANIC DISCOVERED MELTED IGNITION COIL AND TOTALLY DAMAGED/NON-FUNCTIONAL POWER TRAIN CONTROL MODULE.
DRIVING AT 55MPH IN HEAVY TRAFFICE VEHICLE ALL OF A SUDDEN LOST POWER AND PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL DID NOTHING. CAR JERKED AND SHUDDERED AND WAS LIKE IT WAS IN NEUTRAL. ALMOST CAUSED A SERIOUS COLLISION. TURNED CAR OFF AND T HE BACK ON AND WAS BALE TO GO AS LONG AS I STAYED UNDER 30MPH. VEHICLE WOULD SPORADICALLY "REV" UP WHEN I PRESSED THE GAS BUT WOULD NOT HAVE EXTRA POWER. HAD TRANSMISSION FLUID CHECKED, LEVEL WAS PERFECT. LEFT THE SERVICE SHOP AND WAS STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT AND WENT TO ACCELERATE AND IT ACTED AS IF IT WERE IN NEUTRAL AGAIN, IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY ROAD. HAD TO HAVE SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT REDIRECT TRAFFIC DUE TO MY CAR BLOCKING 2 LANES. HAD TO BE TOWED AWAY.
