TAKATA RECALL. I RECEIVED A SAFETY RECALL NOTICE 16S26 / NHTSA RECALL 16V-384 LETTER DATED JULY, 2016. AS OF TODAY OCTOBER 25, 2017 I HAVE RECEIVED NOTHING FROM FORD TO INCLUDE NO REPAIRS.WHENEVER I CALL THE LOCAL FORD DEALER THEY TELL ME THAT I WILL BE GETTING ANOTHER LETTER FROM FORD. ALSO, THE DEALER TELLS ME THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS AS OF NOW.

TAKATA RECALL: REMEDY FOR REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF TAKATA INFLATOR HAS NEVER BEEN AVAILABLE EVEN THOUGH WE'VE INQUIRED SEVERAL TIMES AND BROUGHT THE CAR IN WHEN NOTICES WERE RECEIVED.
TAKATA RECALL SINCE JULY 2016 WHEN I FIRST RECEIVED MY RECALL NOTICE FROM FORD, I HAVE BEEN PUT OFF BY LARSON FORD IN LAKEWOOD, NJ RE: THE REPLACEMENT OF MY TAKATA AIRBAGS. I AM SO SICK OF THE "DELAY" EXCUSE AND WONDER EVERYDAY IF MY LIFE IS IN DANGER BECAUSE OF FORD'S REFUSAL TO HONOR THE RECALL. ON ONE VISIT WHEN I ASKED MY REPRESENTATIVE AT FORD ABOUT THE RECALL, HER REPLIED THEY DIDN'T HAVE ANY AND ANOTHER WORKER SAID " I JUST HAD ONE INSTALLED". MY REP REPLIED THAT WAS A "DIFFERENT" KIND. WHAT IS GOING ON??? YES, I AM A SENIOR AND FEMALE SO WE ALL KNOW HOW FORD PUTS OFF AND TAKES ADVANTAGE OF THIS POPULATION, BUT YOU ARE TALKING LIFE THREATENING HERE. MY LAST REQUEST WAS ON OCTOBER 30, 2017 AND I WAS INFORMED THAT LIVING IN JACKSON, NJ PUT MY VEHICLE ON THE LEAST PRIORITY LIST. THAT WAS A LIE AS ACCORDING TO THE TAKATA WEBSITE I AM IN ZONE B. WHY IS FORD NOT HONORING THIS RECALL AFTER 15 MONTHS OF EFFORT ON MY PART? WHY IS THE STATE OF NJ ALLOWING THIS AMOUNT OF TIME? PURSUE TAKATA! 15 MONTHS OF NOT RETRIEVING THIS REPLACEMENT IS INEXCUSABLE. FOR THE RECORD, MY VEHICLE HAS NEVER BEEN SERVICED BY ANYONE OTHER THAN LARSON AND FREEHOLD FORD IN NJ. WE RECEIVED AN ADDITIONAL RECALL NOTIFICATION IN AUGUST 2017. WE CONTACTED THE SAME DEALER AND WAS ADVISED PARTS ARE STILL NOT AVAILABLE AND WE WILL BE NOTIFIED WHEN SERVICE CAN BE SCHEDULED. STILL NO CONTACT AS OF 11-1-2017. IT APPEARS FORD HAS NOT RESOLVED DEFECTIVE ISSUE WITH NOW BANKRUPT TAKATA. VEHICLE OWNERS ARE AT RISK UNTIL CORRECTIVE ACTION IS COMPLETED. MY FAMILY IS RIDING IN A VEHICLE THAT HAS PARTS THAT MAY CAUSE INJURY OR DEATH!! IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE THAT PARTS ARE STILL NOT AVAILABLE NEARLY18 MONTHS AFTER THE RECALL NOTICE.

TAKATA RECALL: WE RECEIVED A NOTICE FROM FORD IN THE SUMMER OF 2016 SAYING THERE WAS A SAFETY VEHICLE RECALL FOR THE AIR BAGS ON THIS VEHICLE. TO DATE FORD HAS NOT REPLACED THE AIR BAGS ON THIS CAR. WE HAVE CALLED AND BEEN TOLD WHEN THE BAGS ARE NOT IN STOCK WE WILL BE NOTIFIED WHEN THEE ARE AVAILABLE FOR INSTALLATION. PLEASE HELP US GET THESE AIRBAGS REPLACED

TAKATA RECALL I HAVE BEEN INFORMED THAT MY VEHICLE IS NO LONGER SAFE TO DRIVE WHILE SOME ONE IS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. IF DEPLOYED 'METAL FRAGMENTS-TO BE EXPELLED CAUSING SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.'I CALLED FORD TO SEE IF THEY MIGHT HAVE A TEMPORARY SOLUTION REGUARDING THIS HAZARDOUS RECALL, SINCE THE POSSIBLE REPLACEMENT WILL NOT BECOME AVAILABLE UNTIL THE SPRING OF 2018, THE REPRESENTATIVE COULD NOT PROVIDE ME WITH AN ANSWER. ACCORDING TO THE REP FORD IS NOT RESPONSIBLE. THIS AIRBAG INFLATOR IS A HUGE PROBLEM IN MY LIFE AND I WOULD HAVE LIKED IF THEY HAD RENTALS FOR THE DURATION OF THIS ISSUE. NOT ONLY IS IT A HAZARD FOR THE OWNER AND MY FAMILY BUT IT IS UNETHICAL FOR FORD COMPANY NOT TO CONSIDER WHAT COULD HAPPEN TO THE PEOPLE WHO OWN DEFECTIVE VEHICLES. I OWN THIS FORD AND HAVE A FAMILY OF FIVE. I DON'T HAVE OTHER MEANS TO TRAVEL AND TAKE KIDS TO SCHOOL, SOCCER, AND SOFTBALL. THIS VEHICLE IS OUR ONLY WAY TO BE WHERE WE HAVE TO BE. WE GOT A SAFETY RECALL NOTICE 16S26 RECALL 16V-384 SINCE JULY 2016 AND TILL NOW THEY NEVER REPAIR OUR CAR , EVERY TIME WE CALL THEM THEY KEEP SAYING THEY DON'T HAVE THE PARTS YET AND THEY WILL EMAIL US WHEN THEY HAVE IT AND TILL TODAY DATE THEY NEVER DID ANYTHING. SINCE THAT DATE WE NEVER USE THE FRONT SEAT SO WE CAN'T UTILIZE THE FULL CAPACITY OF OUR CAR. THIS IS VERY DISAPPOINTING AND INCONVENIENT FOR US , BESIDES WE DON'T FEEL SAFE WHILE DRIVING OUR CAR, WE ARE ASKING FORD FOR IMMEDIATE REPAIR AND COMPENSATION FOR ALL THE SUFFERING OF THIS RECALL ISSUE
I WAS FIRST NOTIFIED IN 2016 OF A RECALL WITH DIRECTIVE THAT NO ONE SHOULD RIDE IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. TO DATE, I'VE YET TO BE CALLED IN TO HAVE THIS MATTER REPAIRED, THAT SAID, ASKING A CAR OWNER TO NOT BE ABLE TO USE EVERY SEAT IN THEIR VEHICLE FOR MORE THAN 2 YEARS IS BEYOND THE PALE. PLEASE ADVISE ME WHEN I MIGHT EXPECT THIS REPAIR TO BE COMPLETED.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD EDGE. WHILE DRIVING AT UNKNOWN SPEEDS, THE BRAKE PEDAL BECAME EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO DEPRESS WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BRAKE BOOSTER FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 99,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD EDGE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH, THE VEHICLE HESITATED AND VIBRATED VIOLENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN BACK TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE WHERE THE ENGINE WAS TURNED OFF. AFTER RESTARTING THE VEHICLE, THE FAILURE RECURRED A FEW MOMENTS LATER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT CERTAIN ENGINE CYLINDERS MISFIRED AND MULTIPLE ENGINE COILS OVERHEATED. THERE WERE NO FLAMES VISIBLE. AS A RESULT, THE ENTIRE POWER TRAIN CIRCUIT BOARD HAD BURNED OUT. THE VEHICLE WAS BEING REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 113,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL - I HAVE NO INFORMATION ABOUT WHEN MY CAR WILL BE FIXED. I WAS TOLD NOT TO HAVE A PASSENGER RIDE IN THE FRONT SEAT. I USE MY CAR TO HELP SENIORS GET TO OUR CHURCH AND I CANNOT EVEN DO THIS ANYMORE! I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE MY CAR AND FORD HAS NOT BEEN HELPFUL IN RECTIFYING THIS SITUATION FOR ME. PLEASE HELP! THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR AT LEAST A YEAR NOW.
WHILE DRIVING MY 2007 FORD EDGE SLE, I NOTICED THE BRAKES STARTED FEELING LIKE THEY WHERE FADING. WHEN I HAD TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP AT A STOP SIGN, AT FIRST I DIDN'T FEEL THE VEHICLE WAS GOING TO STOP AT ALL. I HAD TO PRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL EXTREMELY HARD, AND ALSO USED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE. DURING THIS I COULD HEAR A HISSING NOISE THAT WAS UNUSUAL COMING FROM UNDER THE DASH. AFTER INVESTIGATION I FOUND FORD HAS KNOWN ABOUT THIS PROBLEM SINCE 2009, OR MAYBE EARLIER, AND DONE NOTHING TO CORRECT IT. THEY NOW HAVE A " CUSTOMER SATISFACTION " BULLETIN OUT, BUT IT ONLY COVERS 2010-2013 MODEL YEARS, WITH CERTAIN VIN # CODES. MY ENTIRE FAMILY HAS ALWAYS DRIVEN FORD PRODUCTS, BUT THE WAY SUNBELT FORD OF AMERICUS GA. HAS TREATED US WITH THIS PROBLEM, THAT IS ABOUT TO CHANGE. THIS VEHICLE IS STILL LOW MILEAGE, GARAGE KEPT, & AS CLEAN AS BRAND NEW. WE HAVE RELIGIOUSLY KEPT IT SERVICED, AND IN PERFECT SHAPE. WITH A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH SOMETHING AS MAJOR AS BRAKES, AND FORD WON'T STAND BEHIND THEIR PROBLEM, INDICATES TO ME THEY ARE NOT THE COMPANY THEY USED TO BE, & THEY HAVE NO REGARDS FOR DEDICATED CUSTOMERS OF OVER 40 YEARS. JUST MYSELF, SPOUSE, & OUR 3 SONS HAVE PURCHASED OVER 35 BRAND NEW FORD VEHICLES SINCE 1990 RANGING FROM MUSTANGS, TO EXPLORERS, TO F-350S. THANKS FORD FOR SHOWING US HOW MUCH YOU VALUE YOUR CUSTOMERS.

BECAUSE THERE IS NO REMEDY FOR THE PROBLEM, I CONTINUE DRIVING MY CAR WITH PASSENGERS EVERY SINGLE DAY WITH AN AIRBAG THAT HAS A RUPTURED INFLATOR RESULTING IN METAL FRAGMENTS STRIKING MY VEHICLE OCCUPANTS THAT CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH IF I AM INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT. 2007 FORD EDGE HAS PTU LEAK, THE TRANSMISSION IS NOT SHIFTING PROPERLY, THE BRAKE LIGHT BULBS ARE CONSTANTLY BLOWING AND MELTING IN THE SOCKET. THE BRAKES SOUND LIKE THEY ARE GRINDING METAL AND THE CD PLAYER DECIDED TO QUIT WORKING TOO. I HAVE READ ONLINE OF OTHERS HAVING ALL OF THESE EXACT SAME PROBLEMS. THE PTU AND TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS SHOULD NOT BE SOMETHING THAT THE OWNER SHOULD HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE CORRECTED WHEN IT IS CLEARLY A DESIGN FLAW FROM THE MANUFACTURER. I AM A SINGLE MOTHER AND STILL MAKING PAYMENTS ON THIS CAR AND CANNOT AFFORD TO PAY THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO HAVE THEIR DESIGN FLAW REPAIRED!! WHEN IN MOTION THE TRANSMISSION ACTS AS THOUGH IT DOESN'T KNOW WHEN TO SHIFT. IT KIND OF FEELS LIKE I AM IN A MANUAL AND HAVEN'T CHANGED GEARS WHEN I AM SUPPOSED TO AND IF I DON'T PUSH THE CLUTCH IN IT WILL STALL OUT. BUT INSTEAD THIS IS AN AUTOMATIC BEHAVING THAT WAY AND INSTEAD OF A CLUTCH I HAVE TO GIVE IT MORE GAS TO GET IT TO DOWNSHIFT OR IT ACTS LIKE IT IS GOING TO STALL.
