The car under carriage completely rusted out and cause a major failure in the middle of a major street. I informed ford of the problem by special mail and have not receive a reply. I took the car to the dealership where I bought the car. They said it would cost 8,000 for th repair and they did not know if the complete problem would be fixed. Please help. [XXX] , [XXX] [XXX] . The contact owns a 2010 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while his brother was driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle experienced unintended acceleration. During the failure, the braking system malfunctioned, causing the brake pedal to extend to the floorboard and the vehicle failed to stop immediately. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. Additionally, while the vehicle was in for service it was discovered that the subframe was rusted. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was not yet contacted. The failure mileage was 114,116.
Interior driver's side door latch is covered with a metal-like substance which appears to be chrome. The metal has cracked/split along the top of the latch, where the driver places fingers to open the door. The owner/driver of this vehicle was injured by this latch on 6/6/2021, and suffered a finger laceration which required bandaging but not stitches.
I WAS TOLD THAT MY BRAKE PADS ONLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND THAT THEY HAD DONE IT, WHEN I PICKED UP MY VEHICLE, THE BRAKES WERE EXTREMELY HARD AND I COULD NOT STOP MY VEHICLE, I TOOK MY CAR BACK AND THEY STATED MY MASTER CYLINDER WAS BAD, THEY NOTED IT ON MY INVOICE, BUT DID NOT DISCUSS IT WITH ME AND GAVE ME MY VEHICLE WITHOUT NOTIFYING. WHEN I TOOK MY CAR BACK FOR REPAIR, THEY CRACKED MY WINDSHIELD AND VOMITED IN MY VEHICLE

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD EDGE. WHILE DRIVING AT SPEEDS OF 25 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON THREE SEPARATE OCCASIONS AND WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER ADVISED THERE WAS A MOUSE LIVING IN THE VEHICLE AND EATING THE AIR FILTER AND SENSORS. THERE WERE UNKNOWN REPAIRS MADE TO THE VEHICLE HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE CONTACT BELIEVED THERE TO BE A DESIGN FLAW IN THE VEHICLE THAT WOULD ALLOW A MOUSE TO LIVE AND DAMAGE THE VEHICLE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 10,000.
