Brake pedal dropped to floor when applied slight pressure to slow from 30mph to 20 mph, then the car surged no brakes. I finally got car to stop by putting in neutral and engaging emergency brake.
The contact owns a 2020 Ford Edge. The contact stated while she was depressing the brake pedal to slow the vehicle down in order to park but the brake pedal traveled the floorboard. The vehicle failed to stop and crashed into a wall where it came to a stop. The contact mentioned that the Forward Collision Avoidance/Emergency Automatic Braking failed to detect that the wall was in front and prevent the collision. The contact sustained minor injuries that did not require medical attention. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where the vehicle was diagnosed, and they stated that no failure was determined. The manufacturer was contacted and advised she will receive a call and to contact the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was 17,015.
