HAD PROBLEM REPAIRED ACCORDING TO RECALL NOTICE (#96V252000); PROBLEM HAS SINCE RETURNED. *AK
ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS IT HAS FELT LIKE A FLAT TIRE OR SOMETHING DRAGGING. THE CAR WAS TAKEN TO FORD ON 3-16-99 AND FOUND TO HAVE A REAR SEAL THAT WENT OUT ON THE BRAKES TAKING THE DRUMS AND ROTORS WITH IT. THE PARTS ARE ON BACK ORDER AND WILL TAKE AT LEAST A WEEK FROM TIME TAKEN IN FOR SERVICE. I WANT TO KNOW IF THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH OTHER EXPEDITIONS AND IF A RECALL IS IN THE PROCESS. THANK YOU. *AK
ELECTRICAL FAILURES CAUSED VEHICLE TO STALL IN TRAFFIC MANY TIMES.
THE FRONT RIGHT WHEEL FELL OFF WHILE DRIVING FOR NO APPARENT REASON. DEALER CANNOT DETERMINE PROBLEM. *AK
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CONSTANLY COMES ON SINCE NEW. *YC
WOULD HEAR NOISES IN THE ENGINE. FRONT DRIVE SERPENTINE BELT KEEPS BREAKING. HAS TAKEN VEHICLE TO DEALER'S AT LEAST 12 TIMES FOR PROBLEM. ALSO, THE CRANKSHAFT/ PULLEY TENSIONER WOULD LOOSEN & THE VACCUM TO THE BRAKES. WOULD NOT HAVE ANY BRAKES DUE TO LACK OF PRESSURE. *AK
AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY AND THE PASSENGER SIDE SEAT BELTS DID NOT PREVENT THE PASSENGER FROM BEING PROPELLED FORWARD AND HITTING THE WINDSHIELD WHEN THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED AND THE VEHICLE STRUCK A WALL. THE ENGINE SUSTAINED EXTENSIVE DAMAGE AND THE FRAME WAS TWISTED.
WHILE ATTEMPTING TO PULL INTO A PARKING LOT DRIVER STEPPED ON BRAKE AND VEHICLE ACCELERATED OUT OF CONTROL, CRASHING INTO A BANK. DRIVER'S SHOULDER HARNESS DID NOT WORK, AND AIR BAG FAILED TO DEPLOY, RESULTING IN AN INJURY. *AK
BACK END OF TRUCK NEEDS TO BE REPLACED/ OWNER SAID THAT THE DEALERSHIPP HAS TAKEN A MONTH AND PARTS ARE STILL NOT AT DEALERSHIP. *AK
VEHICLE'S REAR AXLE FAILED. *AK
BRAKES: WHEN DRIVING HAVE TO APPLY TO MUCH PRESSURE TO BRAKE PEDAL TO GET THE VEHICLE TO STOP. DEAER SAYS THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE BRAKES. *AK
DURING MINOR REAR END COLLISION DRIVER SEAT ENDED UP IN FAR BACK POSITION. THE ELECTRIC RAIL ASSEMBL HAD TO BE REPLACED.

ONGOING PROBLEM WITH WINDSHIELD WIPER/WASHER SWITCH FAILING TO OPERATE PROPERLY. DEALER REPLACED SWITCH ON TWO OCCASIONS, AND PROBLEM STILL OCCURRING. *AK
TRUCK WAS PARKED IN 4-WHEEL DRIVE AND WHEN THE EMERGENY BRAKE WAS LET UP THE TRUCK WOULD NOT MOVE. THEN THE BRAKES GOT RIPPED OFF THE REAR AXLE, AND THE BRAKE FLUID WENT ALL OVER THE GROUND. *AK
WHEN BRAKES WERE DEPRESSED THE ACCELERATOR FLOORED ITSELF, PASSENGER WITNESSED FOOT ON BRAKE AND NOT THE THROTTLE. PASSENGER SIDE SEAT BELT DID NOT WORK, AND NOT AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THE VEHICLE FRAME WAS BENT FROM THE CRASH.
AFTER THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY STOPPED, CAUSING ACCIDENT.
VEHICLE IS SWAYING FROM LEFT TO RIGHT BECAUSE THE FOUR PLY TIRES ARE TO0 SMALL FOR VEHICLE. *AK
DRIVING OVER 40MPH THE FRONT END WANDERS. DRIVER CANNOT TAKE EYES OFF THE ROAD FOR A SECOND BECAUSE VEHICLE WOULD GO OFF THE ROAD. PLEASE DESCRIBE DETAILS. *AK
SWAY BAR LINKS ARE MISSING, DETECTED DURING A BRAKE JOB. DEALER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED. *AK.ET.
DRIVING 65MPH; HAD ON CRUISE CONTROL; SIGN READ SLOW TO 45MPH; APPLIED BRAKES; CRUISE CONTROL DID NOT RELEASE; PRESSED HARDER; BRAKES STARTED SMOKING; PUT INTO NEUTRAL & COASTED TO SIDE OF ROAD; RPM HIGH. CALLED DEALER & WAS SENT TOW TRUCK & TOLD CRUISE CONTROL CABLE SNAPPED. *AK
THE CONSUMER HAPPROACHED AN INTERSECTION OTHER VEHICLE RAN A STOP, APPLIED ABS BRAKES AND COLLIDED WITH OTHER VEHICLE, THE AIR BAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY. *AK

RECALL 98V095 FOR WHEEL LUG NUTS PROBLEMS ON 1997 EXPEDITION. *BF WHILE DRIVING ONE OF THE VEHICLE'S WHEELS CAME OFF THE TRUCK. WHEN THE CONSUMER WAS ABLE TO STOP THE VEHICLE HE NOTICED THAT ALL THE LUG NUTS HAD BROKEN OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A GARAGE WHERE THEY DETERMINED THAT THE TRUCK HAD THE WRONG LUG NUTS ON IT. THE CONSUMER WAS THEN TOLD THAT THE YEAR BEFORE A RECALL WAS ISSUED AND THE LUG NUTS HAD BEEN CHANGED. *NM
POSSIBLE UNDER DASH HARNESS MAY HAVE CAUSED FIRE TO FORM AROUND THE ASHTRAY RESULTING IN BURN FINGER TO DRIVER AND PASSENGER WHILE ATTEMPTING TO PUT FLAMES OUT. NLM
