BUZZING OR VIBRATING NOISE AT IDLE IN EXHAUST SYSTEM EMMINATING FROM UNDERNEATH FRONT SEAT AREA. I'VE BEEN TO TWO DEALERSHIPS MULTIPLE TIMES AND HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO GET THE PROBLEM CORRECTED.
THE VEHICLE VIBRATES UNCONTROLLABLY AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS . THE DEALER HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. *AK
WHEN INSTALLING CSS ON THE LEFT SIDE OF SECOND ROW THE MIDDLE SEATBELT RETRACTOR WILL QUIT WORKING DUE TO PRESSURE ON THE LEFT SEAT. IT IS A DESIGN FLAW. *AK
HOOD LIGHT CONNECTION FAULTY.'CLUNK' GOING OVER MODERATE BUMPS DUE TO SUSPENSION CONCERN-DEALER SAID IT WAS BECAUSE MY GAS TANK WAS 3/4 FULL AND IT WAS 'SLOSHING' AROUND.TECHNICIAN DESCRIBED A 'TRANSMISSION CHATTER' BUT WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE CAUSE.STEERING WHEEL HAS 1/2 INCH OF PLAY.***OUR VEHICLE HAS HAD 42 REPAIRS, 38 REPAIR DAYS, 36 PAGES OF WARRANTY WORK AND OVER $10,000(CDN) IN WARRANTY COSTS. IT HAS 6 WARRANTY REPAIRS PENDING (PLUS A REPEATED REQUEST TO ADDRESS THE DOCUMENTED 'PISTON SLAP'). WE ARE CURRENTLY SLATED FOR ARBITRATION WITH CAMVAP OCTOBER 27, 1999. FEEL FREE TO CONTACT US. REAR SWAY BAR FELL OUT OF BUSHING, MAKING DIFFICULT TO CONTROL. ENGINE HAS ROUGH IDLE.ROOF RACK FELL OFF DUE TO SCREWS THAT HOLD RACK TO ROOF WERE NOT INSTALLED.EXTERIOR MOLDINGS AND GLASS TRIM DISCOLORED.PASSENGER POWER WINDOW STICKS AND SQUEAKS.SERPENTINE BELT NOISY UPON COLD MORNING STARTS.
VEHICLE DRIFTS TO THE RIGHT, ALIGNED REPEATEDLY AND RE-CHECKED, CONTINUES TO DRIFT, CREATED OUTSIDE WEAR ON DRIVE TIRES. REAR WIPER FAILED DURING RAIN STORM. POWER MIRROR WORKS INTERMITTENLY. POWER WINDOWS DO NOT OPERATE WHEN KEY IS OUT MAKING IT DANGEROUS TO EXIT IN AN EMERGENCY. WINDSHIELD WIPER WORKED SPORADICALLY, REPLACED MULTI-FUNCTION SWITCH AS PER RECALL. DRIVER'S POWER SEAT 'CLUNKS' WITH MEDIUM TO HARD STOP OR ACCELERATION, MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO STEER.
TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT SHIFT UP OR DOWN, REPAIRED AS PER TSB 980920, THEN REPLACED.GEAR SHIFTER WOULD NOT RELEASE FROM PARK, RE-STARTED MANY TIMES AND EVENTUALL ABLE TO SHIFT.ESSENTIALLY OVER THE COURSE OF 6 VISITS THE ENTIRE COMPONENT HAS BEEN REPLACED AND IS NOW RETURNED.FRONT FENDERS WERE CURLED IN, PAINT DEFECTS WITH RUST SPOTS AND PAINT CLUMPS.
BRAKES WERE SQUEAKY AND FELT SPONGY, ADDRESSED TWICE, ROTORS WERE OUT BY -0.05. ENGINE EXIHIBIT 'PISTON SLAP' DOCUMENTED FROM DAY ONE, DEALER STATED IT MAY BE ATTRIBUTED TO OCTANE LEVEL, INFORMED BY SECOND DEALER TO DOWNSHIFT, THAT IT WILL NOT HARM ENGINE, ROAD TEST BY TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THE PCM WAS ADJUSTING TO LOAD!!NOWHERE TO SECURE CHILD SEAT IN THIRD ROW.HEATER REPLACED TWICE WITH WINDOWS FOGGING CREATING POOR VISIBILITY.SECOND ROW SINGLE SEAT FELL BACK UPON ACCELERATION,KNOCKING PASSENGER'S HEAD BACK, WAS STUCK AND WOULD NOT RESET UNTIL PUSHED VERY, VERY HARD. INTERIOR DASH AND HEADLINER SQUEAKS, HORSESHOE MOLDING TABS AROUND STEREO WORE THROUGH AND RATTLES
I AM UNDER 5'. THE ABILITY TO SEE USING THE SIDEVIEW MIRRORS IS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE. DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS, I WEAVE MY HEAD BACK AND FORTH, LOOKING THROUGH THE HIGH SEATS. HOWEVER, NIGHT DRIVING IS A TERROR! THE SIDEVIEW MIRRORS--REGARDLESS OF POSITIONING, DO NOT GIVE A CLEAR VIEW OF VEHICLES OR HEADLIGHTS. FURTHER, SINCE IT IS DARK, IF A CAR IS A DARK COLOR IT CAN NOT BE SEEN! MY HUSBAND, WHO IS 5'8" DOES NOT HAVE A PROBLEM. THANK YOU FOR LISTENING.

THE "DOOR AJAR" SIGNAL KEEPS COMING UP ON MY DISPLAY PANEL - WHEN THIS HAPPENS, THE INTERIOR LIGHTS COME ON AND WON'T GO OFF FOR 30-45 SECONDS. AT NIGHT THIS IS A SERIOUS HAZARD BECAUSE NEITHER I OR MY TEENAGE CHILDREN WHO DRIVE IT CAN SEE SAFELY. I'M HAVING THE PART REPLACED TOMORROW BUT WOULD LIKE TO BE REIMBURSED. THE SERVICE MAN AT MY LOCAL FORD DEALER TOLD ME THEY ARE SEEING THIS PROBLEM A LOT. IT SEEMS TO ME THAT AN INVESTIGATION NEEDS TO BE MADE. THANK YOU. *AK
HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNTI HAS GONE BAD, CAUSING THE BRAKE NOT TO WORK PROPERLY. WHEN THE PEDAL IS APPLIED, IT GOES STRAIGHT TO THE FLOOR. TO GET AN REACTION FROM THE BRAKES, THEY HAVE TO BE PUMPED SEVERAL TIMES. DEALER HAS BEEN CONTACTED. *AK
ABS BRAKES ARE NOT OPERABLE WHEN CPNSUMER APPLIES BRAKES. THE PEDAL MAKES NOISES, AND THE BRAKES ARE HARD. *AK
WHILE MAKING A TURN VEHICLE WAS MAKING A FUNNY NOISE. DEALER REPLACED TIE ROD END/T IDLER ARM, AND STEERING GEAR ARM. MANUFACTURER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED. *AK

THE FUEL THROTTLE IS STICKING. *SLC
WHILE DRIVING UNDER ICY CONDITIONS VEHICLE SLID INTO A TELEPHONE POLE AT 20 MPH. AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY, AND SETA BELT RIPPED, CAUSING RUG TO BURN TO DRIVER'S NECK. DEALER HAS NOT BEEN CONTACTED. *AK
THE STEERING SLIPS AND OVER STEERS, 3 DIFFERENT DEALERS HAVE CHECKED AND CANNOT FIND THE PROBLEM. *ET
WHEN THE KEY IS TURNED TOWARDS THE START POSITION GEARS CAN BE SHIFTED WITHOUT APPLYING THE BRAKES. DEALER HAS VEHICLE CURRENTLY. *AK
THE REAR LAP BELT, BEHIND THE DRIVER ,GOT STUCK AND WOULD NOT RELEASE OWNER'S CHILD. SEATBELT STARTED TO TIGHTEN AROUND CHILD, AND HAD TO BE CUT LOOSE. DEALER HAS NOT REPLACED THE SEATBELT. *AK
WHILE DRIVING A TRAVEL TRAILER HITCHED TO THE BACK OF VEHICLE, CONSUMER NOTICED LOAD FELT LOOSE.CONTACTED DEALER,. DEALER STATED THAT HITCH CRACKED, CAUSING THE PROBLEM. DEALER REPLACED THE HITCH. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
THE ACCELERATOR STICKS, CONSUMER HAD THE THROTTLE FIXED, HOWEVER THE ACCELERATOR WAS STICKING AGAIN.*ET
WAS DRIVING VEHICLE & APPLIED BRAKES TO SLOWDOWN. BRAKES FAIL TO CATCH & HIT A MOPED. WAS PLENTY OF DISTANCE FOR STOPPING. WAS THIRD SET OF BRAKES ON VEHICLE. WINDSHIELD WIPERS ARE NOT WORKING LIKE THEY SHOULD. PROBLEM IS INTERMITTEN. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER & MECHANIC INDICATED THE ABS BRAKES ARE OKAY. WIPERS CAN BE REPAIRED.*AK
THE SEATBELT HOLDING THE CHILD SAFETY SEAT IN PLACE HAS DISCONNECTED WITHOUT IT BEING INTENTIONALLY RELEASED, CONSUMER BELIEVES THIS MAY BE OCCURING BECAUSE OF THE PROLONGED SIDE-WAYS TENSION ON THE SEAT BELT RECEPTOR. NLM
THE VEHICLES FRONT SUSPENSION STABILIZER ANCHOR LINE ASSEMBLIES WERE BROKEN THE BOLTS RUSTED,THE RIGHT SIDE ASSEMBLY TOTALLY MISSING. *ET
WOULD BE DRIVING VEHICLE & APPLYING BRAKES (ABS) & PEDAL WOULD PULSATE. VEHICLE WOULD FAIL TO STOP. PROBLEM IS INTERMITTENT. ABS LIGHT KEPT COMING ON AND STAYING. WOULD ONLY GO OFF WHEN VEHICLE IS NOT ON. TOOK TO DEALERSHIP & WAS INFORMED TSB ON VEHICLE & IT WAS OUT OF WARRANTY, BY 5 WEEKS WITH ONLY 4163 MILES. *AK THE VEHICLE IS USED TO PULL BOAT, AND HAS EXTREMELY POOR FUEL MILEAGE .THIS VEHICLE HAD TWO BRAKE FAILURES DUE TO BAD SENSORS. THE MANUFACTURER INSTALLED DEFECTIVE SINSORS WHICH ARE SAFETY HAZARD BUT REFUSES ADMIT. *YH
TO FULLY ENGAGE THE BRAKE, THE CONSUMER HAS TO PRESS IT BELOW THE LEVEL OF THE ACCELERATOR, IF CONSUMERS FOOT IS PARTIALLY HANGING OVER THE ACCELERATOR WOULD BECOME ENGAGED BEFORE THE BRAKE WAS FULLY ENGAGED, DEALER SAID VEHICLE MET FACTORY SPECS. NLM
WHILE VEHICLE WAS BEING DRIVEN STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP AND BECAME INOPERABLE DUE TO A MALFUNCTION WITHIN POWER STEERING PUMP. PLEASE GIVE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
IF VEHICLE IS ON AN INCLINE IN A NOSE-DOWN POSITION, EITHER IDLING OR TURNED OFF, IT RUNS OUT OF GAS EVEN IF THE TANK IS MORE THAN 1/4 FULL. IT APPEARS THAT THE DESIGN OF THE FUEL TANK / FUEL INTAKE SYSTEM IS FLAWED. GAS CANNOT MOVE FROM THE TANK TO THE ENGINE IF VEHICLE IS ON AN INCLINE. VEHICLE HAS STALLED IN TRAFFIC ON HILLS, AND HAS FAILED TO START IF LEFT PARKED NOSE-DOWN ON AN INCLINE. AGAIN THIS HAPPENS WITH MORE THAN 1/4 TANK OF GAS IN TANK.
BOTH ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT EXTERNAL REAR VIEW MIRRORS ARE ALMOST COMPLETELY UNUSABLE AT THIS POINT. THE MIRRORS ARE NOT USABLE AT NIGHT. I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT FORD HASN'T REPLACED THE MIRRORS. THIS IS A DANGEROUS SITUATION. THANK YOU. *AK
THE GOODYEAR WRANGLER RT-S TIRE EXPERIENCED SEPARATION AND BLOW OUT WHILE DRIVING, CONSUMER LOST TEMPORARY CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. *MJS

CONSUMER HAS NOTICED THAT DIFFERENTIAL VENT IS BUILDING UP PRESSURE, AND CAUSING OIL TO SPILL INTO ENGINE COMPARTMENT WHICH IS CAUSING A FIRE HAZARD. CONSUMER HAS CONTACTED DEALER. DEALER WAS PROVIDED WITH INSTRUCTIONS FROM MANUFACTURER FOR CORRECTING PROBLEM. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER DETAILS.*AK

STABILIZER BAR PIN HAS BROKEN ON BOTH DRIVER'S AND PASSENER'S SIDES. ALSO, PROBLEM WAS SIMILAR TO PROBLEM THAT WAS RECALLED FOR FORD EXPLORER. CONSUMER HAS CONTACTED DEALER. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
WHILE DRIVING OVER A SPEED BUMP AT LOW SPEED FRONT TORSION BAR SNAPPED IN TWO PIECES, CAUSING T SUPENSION TO COLLAPSE. FORD HAS BEEN CONTACTED. *AK

MY FRONT SUPENSION WAS MAKING BAD SQUEAKING NOISE BUT THEIR IS NO GREASE FITTING ON THE DRIVER SIDE SO THAT YOU CAN GREASE IT. SO I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO WILLOBY FORD AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THE SUPENSION ARM OR SOMETHING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. I HAVEN'T HAD IT REPLACED YET. WOULD IT BE IN MY BEST INTREST TO WAIT AND SEE WHAT THE GOV'T FIND OUT FIRST?*AK

THE VEHICLE STARTED GROANING WHENEVER YOU TURNED THE STEERING WHEEL, CONSUMER STATES HE LOOKED UNDER THE VEHICLE AND SAW THAT THERE WAS GREASE SMEARED AROUND SEVERAL LINKAGES, IN WHICH HE BELIEVES WAS A TEMPORARY FIX TO SELL THE VEHICLE.*YH
SIDE MIRRORS CONTAIN EMBEDDED TURN INDICATORS. ASSEMBLY IS FAULTY CAUSING MIRROR TO BECOME UNUSABLE WHEN LIGHT SHINES DIRECTLY IN, I.E. WHEN THE SUN IS SHINING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. GLUE, ASSEMBLY COMPONENTS, ETC. BECOME VISIBLE THROUGH MIRRORED SURFACE. *AK
