WHILE TRAVELING AT AROUND 50-60 MPH, THE VEHICLE LOST POWER AND I PULLED OVER INTO A PARKING LOT. THE DASH EXHIBITED A SYMBOL IMPLYING THE "ELECTRONIC THROTTLE" WAS MALFUNCTIONING. THIS IS QUITE DANGEROUS BECAUSE IT OCCURS WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE STREET WITH NO PRIOR WARNING. DO NOT KNOW YET HOW MUCH REPAIR WILL BE AS IT OCCURRED TODAY. NOTICED ON WEBSITE COMMENTS SECTION THAT THIS HAPPENS FREQUENTLY WITH THE 2005 FORD EXPEDITION. WANT TO KNOW WHAT FORD IS DOING ABOUT THIS. *TR
THIS IS INCIDENT #1 OF 3 WITH RESPECT TO THIS VEHICLE. IN EACH CASE, THE CAR WAS TRAVELING AT A NORMAL RATE OF SPEED UNDER ORDINARY TRAFFIC CONDITIONS. WITHOUT WARNING, THE CAR EITHER LOST POWER AND SHUT OFF SUDDENLY OR LOST THE ABILITY TO ACCELERATE AND SLOWED TO A STOP. IN EACH CASE DASHBOARD MESSAGE CENTER WARNING "CHECK ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL" (OR SOMETHING SIMILAR) APPEARED. IN EACH CASE THE DRIVER TURNED THE IGNITION SWITCH TO THE OFF POSITION, WAITED SEVERAL MINUTES, AND THEN STARTED THE CAR. THE WARNING MESSAGE NO LONGER APPEARED AND THE CAR RAN FINE WITHOUT FURTHER IMMEDIATE INCIDENT. IN THIS PARTICULAR CASE (INCIDENT #1), THE CAR WAS TRAVELING AT APPROXIMATELY 35 - 40 MPH ON A THREE-LANE (IN EACH DIRECTION) STATE HIGHWAY. THE DRIVER WAS ABLE TO MOVE THE CAR FROM THE MIDDLE LANE TO THE RIGHT LANE BEFORE LOSING ALL POWER TO ACCELERATE. THIS ROAD HAS NO SHOULDER, SO THE CAR BLOCKED TRAFFIC IN THE RIGHT LANE UNTIL IT WAS RESTARTED. WHEN THE CAR WAS NEXT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR SERVICE, THE DEALER DID NOT REPORT AN ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC CODE THAT WOULD ACCOUNT FOR THIS INCIDENT. *TR
I HAD JUST PICKED UP MY SON FROM HIS SCHOOL AND MADE A LEFT TURN AT THE STOP SIGN TO GO TO THE MAIN ROAD TO PICK MY DAUGHTER FROM HER SCHOOL WHEN THE BRAKES FAILED IN MY TRUCK. THE RED WAS AHEAD,CARS WERE LINED,KIDS WERE CROSSING THE ROAD,AND I HAD TO SOMETHING REALLY FAST. I DROVE IN TO A DRIVEWAY IN MY RIGHT WHICH WAS A PARKING FOR A HOSPITAL. I KEPT TRYING TO PUSH THE BRAKE PEDAL TO STOP THE CAR,BUT THE WOULDN'T STOP. IT WENT OVER THE CURB AND HIT A TREE. I CALLED THE POLICE, THEN MY INSURANCE,CAR WAS TOWED TO THE BODY SHOP. THE FORD STORE DID THE DIAGNOSTICS ON THE BRAKE AND TOLD MY INSURANCE COMPANY THAT THE BRAKE BOOSTER HAD FAILED.MY INSURANCE COMPANY GOT THE WORK STARTED FOR THE BODY DAMAGE. I CALLED THE FORD STORE SEVERAL TIMES ASKING FOR A COPY OF THE DIAGNOSTIC AND THE PERSON IN CHARGE WOULD NOT RETURN MY CALL OR GIVE ME A COPY.THREE WEEKS LATER WHEN BODY STARTED THEY SENT A REPORT TO THE BODY SHOP THAT THE CAUSE OF THE ACCIDENT, WAS UNDETERMINED SENT THIS REPORT AFTER HE SPOKE TO THE OFFICE OF THE GENERAL COUNSEL OF FORD. THE ACCIDENT OCCURRED AT 3:15 ON SEPT.17TH AND MY CAR WENT THROUGH A 60,000 MILE CHECK UP ON SEPT.16TH. AT THE FORD STORE. *TR
SEVERAL TIMES WHILE DRIVING MY FORD 2005 EXPEDITION THE CAR STOPS RESPONDING TO THE THROTTLE AND LOSSES ALL POWER CAUSING AN UNSAFE CONDITION IN TRAFFIC. THE DASHBOARD WARNING SYSTEM DISPLAYS "CHECK ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL". AFTER SHUTTING THE ENGINE OFF AND WAITING SEVERAL MINUTES THE CAR CAN BE RESTARTED AND DRIVEN. WE HAVE INQUIRED ABOUT THIS ISSUE WITH NO SATISFACTION. *TR
I HAVE A 2005 FORD EXPEDITION XLT (100K MILES, V8, A-TRANS). THE DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW IS STUCK PERMANENTLY IN THE OPEN POSITION. I AM TOLD THE REGULATOR IS BROKEN AND MUST BE REPLACED. *TR
OWN A 2005 FORD EXPEDITION, IN THE PAST 6 MONTHS AT ABOUT A RATE OF ONCE/MONTH THE ENGINE WILL SHUT OFF LOSS OF POWER WITH DIFFICULTY STEERING, THE VEHICLE HAS INDICATED THAT THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL IS THE ISSUE. ONCE I'M ABLE TO COAST THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD I SHUT OFF THE VEHICLE AND RESTART WITHIN A FEW MINUTES AND ABLE TO CONTINUE UNTIL THE NEXT INCIDENT WITH THIS PROBLEM. I HAVE RESEARCHED THROUGH THE INTERNET AND HAVE FOUND NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS IN REFERENCE TO THIS SAME ISSUE WITH SOME INVOLVING ACCIDENTS DUE TO THE INADVERTENT LOSS OF POWER. I HAVE CONTACTED THE FORD MOTOR COMPANY AND THEY WILL ONLY TELL ME THAT THEY WILL NOT DO ANYTHING TO COVER THIS. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE AND NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED BEFORE SOMEONE IS KILLED IN A MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT DUE TO THIS PROBLEM. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 FORD EXPEDITION. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THREE OUT OF THE FOUR TIRES FLATTENED AND CAUSED THE CONTACT TO CRASH INTO A CONCRETE WALL. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED FROM THE SCENE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE INSURANCE COMPANY IS INVESTIGATING THE CAUSE OF THE TIRE FAILURE. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 64,000.
WAS DRIVING DOWN A 4 LANE HEAVY TRAFFIC ROAD IN FAIR WEATHER CONDITIONS AROUND 45 MPH WHEN VEHICLE MAINTENANCE LIGHT "CHECK ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL" CAME ON AND COMPLETELY SHUT OFF ANY DRIVING POWER TO MY VEHICLE. I WAS NOT EVEN ABLE TO ACCELERATE TO PULL OVER SAFELY. I WAS DRIVING WITH A 3 YEAR OLD AND I AM ALSO 6 MONTHS PREGNANT. WHEN THE CAR FINALLY STOPPED ITSELF, I SHUT THE ENGINE OFF, WAITED A MINUTE AND STARTED IT UP AGAIN. IT STARTED ROUGHLY, BUT THEN WAS FINE. CALLED FOX FORD DEALERSHIP IN GRAND RAPIDS, MI THAT I NORMALLY DEAL WITH AND THEY SAID THAT IT WOULD BE THE THROTTLE BODY WITH THROTTLE CONTROL SENSORS IN IT. MY TYPE OF WARRANTY (POWERTRAIN) DOES NOT COVER IT AND IT WILL RUN BETWEEN $500 - $700 TO FIX IT. CONTACTED FORD ITSELF. THERE IS NO RECALL ON THIS ITEM, ALTHOUGH I'VE NOTICED TONS OF COMPLAINTS ON THE INTERNET ABOUT IT. LUCKILY I WAS NOT DRIVING 70 MILES AN HOUR ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN THIS HAPPENED. THIS NEEDS TO BE RECALLED DUE TO SAFETY HAZARDS. I SEE IT CAUSING A MAJOR ACCIDENT IN THE FUTURE IF IT HASN'T ALREADY. THERE ARE TONS OF DO-IT-YOURSELF FIX-IT SITES WITH TONS OF PEOPLE REPORTING THIS SAME PROBLEM WITH THIS SAME YEAR VEHICLE. I DON'T SEE WHY IT HASN'T BEEN RECALLED YET. THIS IS DANGEROUS!! HOW CAN THEY EXPECT FAMILIES TO BE DRIVING SAFELY JUST TO BE SHUT OFF BY IT'S OWN VEHICLE THAT'S ONLY 4 YEARS OLD!! RIDICULOUS! *TR
2005 FORD EXPEDITION, PAINT CRACKING AND PEELING ON THE ROOF. OF COURSE I DID NOT NOTICE IT TILL 102,000 MILES. I DID TAKE IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY BASICALLY TOLD ME THAT FORD WOULD NOT HAVE FIXED IT 100% ANYWAY. THEY DO A ONE-THIRD (FORD), ONE-THIRD (DEALER), ONE-THIRD (CUSTOMER) PAYS. I FIND THIS VERY UNACCEPTABLE. YOU BUY A $60+++ VEHICLE AND THE PAINT HOLDS NO GUARANTEE. I GUESS I'M LUCKIER THAN THE OTHER GUY THOUGH, YOU REALLY DON'T NOTICE THE ROOF. THE DEALER SAID IT WOULD BE ABOUT A $1500 REPAINT. I PLAN ON CHIPPING IT OFF AS MUCH AS I CAN, SANDING IT AND THEN GETTING SOME BLACK PLASTISOL COATING. LUCKILY AGAIN MY EXPEDITION IS BLACK AND THE PROBLEM IS BETWEEN THE LUGGAGE RACK RUNNERS AND SUNROOF. *TR
I RECENTLY TOOK MY 2005 FORD EXPEDITION FOR A TUNE-UP AT A LOCAL SHOP. THE OWNER OF THE SHOP TOLD ME THAT THE SPARK PLUG IN CYLINDER #4 BROKE AND IS STUCK IN THE ENGINE. THE SAFEST WAY TO REMEDY THE PROBLEM IS TO TAKE THE ENGINE HEAD OFF TO TAKE OUT THE BROKEN SPARK PLUG. I DID A RESEARCH ON THE INTERNET AND FOUND THAT FORD'S DESIGN OF THE SPARK PLUGS CAUSES THE THREAD TO SEPARATE FROM THE SPARK PLUG ITSELF LEADING TO THE BREAKING OF THE PLUGS. THERE ARE ALSO INSTANCES WHERE THE SPARK PLUG IS EJECTED FROM THE ENGINE. I TRIED TO FILE A COMPLAINT WITH FORD MOTOR COMPANY; HOWEVER, THEY REFUSED TO CALL IT A DEFECT IN THEIR SPARK PLUG DESIGNS. *TR
I HAVE A 2005 FORD EXPEDITION LIMITED. MY COMPLAINT IS THE THROTTLE BODY FAILURE. WHEN DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD, THE ENGINE WILL SHUT DOWN AND YOU LOOSE ALL POWER TO THE VEHICLE. I HAVE HAD THIS HAPPEN AT SPEEDS OF 55+ MPH AS WELL AS SPEEDS OF APPROX LESS THAN 10 MPH, SUCH AS WHILE IN A PARKING LOT. THIS PROBLEM STARTED IN THE SUMMER OF 2009, AND HAS HAPPENED EVERY MONTH SINCE, SOMETIMES SEVERAL TIMES DURING THE MONTH. WE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO HAVE IT TESTED AND WERE TOLD IT WAS A TPS SENSOR. THAT HAS BEEN REPLACED ($75.00) BUT THE PROBLEM IS STILL HAPPENING. I HAVE DONE SOME RESEARCH ON THIS AND IT IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM WITH THE 2005 EXPEDITIONS. I PERSONALLY KNOW OF 2 OTHER PEOPLE THAT HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND HAVE HAD TO HAVE THE ENTIRE THROTTLE BODY REPLACED, ONE OF WHICH HAS HAD IT REPLACED TWICE NOW. THIS IS A HUGE CONCERN SINCE YOU DO LOOSE ALL POWER AND HAVE TO TRY TO COAST TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, WHILE TRYING TO AVOID BEING HIT BY OTHER VEHICLES ON THE ROAD. MY CONCERN IS THAT WHEN THIS HAPPENS, THE RESULT WILL BE A ACCIDENT WHILE TRYING TO GET THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE REPAIR COST FOR JUST THE PARTS IS $600.00, BUT THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE THE LABOR. FORD NEEDS TO RECALL THIS PART BEFORE SOMEONE DOES DIE OR IS SERIOUSLY INJURED, AS IT IS A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN. FORD AND THEIR DEALERS ARE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM, YET THE ONLY RESOLUTION IS TO HAVE THE CONSUMER PAY FOR THE REPAIRS. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE MY VEHICLE NOW BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM. I DO NOT HAVE THE OLD TPS SENSOR, BUT THE VEHICLE IS STILL DOING THIS AND DO STILL HAVE THE THROTTLE BODY THAT IS BAD ON THE VEHICLE FOR INSPECTION. WHEN THIS HAPPENS, THE INFORMATION CENTER IN THE DASH TELLS YOU TO "CHECK ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CABLE". *TR
WHILE DRIVING WITH A SMALL CHILD IN THE CAR - LESS THAN 15MPH NEAR A RESIDENTIAL AREA - MY 2005 FORD EXPEDITION LTD SUDDENLY FLASHED AN ERROR MESSAGE "CHECK ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL" AND IMMEDIATELY LOST ACCELERATION, BRAKING AND STEERING. I WAS ABLE TO VEER THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WITHOUT CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. I USED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO STOP THE VEHICLE AT WHICH TIME I MANUALLY TURNED OFF THE IGNITION. WAITED A FEW MOMENTS, AND MANAGED TO GET THE VEHICLE STARTED AND RUNNING AGAIN. THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO WARNING AND THE VEHICLE GIVES YOU NO OPPORTUNITY TO GET THE VEHICLE PULLED OVER SAFELY BEFORE DISENGAGING. THIS APPEARS TO BE A VERY SERIOUS AND DANGEROUS SUDDEN MECHANICAL FAILURE. *TR
WHILE DRIVING OUR 2005 FORD EXPEDITION THE "CHECK THROTTLE" LIGHT CAME ON. THE CAR IMMEDIATELY QUIT RUNNING AND FORTUNATELY I WAS ABLE TO COAST TO A STOP. WE CALLED OUR FORD DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THEY THOUGHT A RECALL HAD BEEN ISSUED FOR THIS PROBLEM. WE TOOK THE CAR TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THEN THAT THEY COULD NOT FIND A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM. IT COSTS US $626.37. WE HAVE SINCE LEARNED THAT THERE HAVE BEEN NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS SAME PROBLEM ON 2005 FORD EXPEDITIONS. WAS TOLD WHEN WE CALLED FORD HEADQUARTERS THAT WE NEEDED TO FILE A COMPLAINT. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 FORD EXPEDITION. WHILE DRIVING BETWEEN 55-60 MPH, A TRACTOR TRAILER MERGED OVER AND CAUSED THE CONTACT TO CRASH INTO A TREE. NONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED IN THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED FACIAL INJURIES AND THREE OTHER PASSENGERS SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES. ONE OCCUPANT SUFFERED MAJOR INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THERE WAS ADDITIONAL PROPERTY DAMAGE TO THE HIGHWAY MEDIAN. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. ALL OF THE PASSENGERS WERE WEARING SEAT BELTS AT THE TIME OF THE CRASH. THERE WERE NO REPAIRS MADE TO THE AIR BAGS PRIOR TO THE CRASH. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN INSPECTED BY A DEALER. THE CONTACT'S INSURANCE COMPANY IS REVIEWING THE DAMAGE AND SENDING A RECONSTRUCTIONIST TO INVESTIGATE. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 85,000.
2005 FORD EXPEDITION DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW REGULATOR BROKE AND WINDOW DROPPED INTO DOOR PANEL WITH A LOUD CRASHING SOUND WHILE DRIVING. I'M REPORTING THIS TO YOU BECAUSE OF SEVERAL OTHER REPORTS I FOUND ON-LINE REGARDING THE SAME ISSUE. THIS SEEMS TO BE A RECURRING SAFETY PROBLEM THAT NEEDS TO BE LOOKED INTO, AND POSSIBLY A RECALL ISSUE. *TR
I WAS DRIVING MY CAR WHEN ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL LIGHT CAME ON AND MY CAR LOST POWER INSTANTLY AND STALLED. I HAVE 57,000 MILES ON MY CAR. I AM NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY BUT DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE PROBLEM, I FIGURED FORD WOULD HAVE RECALLED THIS FAULTY PART BECAUSE OF SAFETY CONCERNS. I TRAVEL DAILY WITH 3 CHILDREN AND THIS PROBLEM HAPPENED TO ME TWICE BEFORE I TOOK IT IN TO DEALERSHIP. THANKFULLY NO ONE WAS BEHIND ME BOTH TIMES. I HAD TO PAY OVER $500 TO HAVE THE PART REPLACED. I CALLED FORD TO EXPRESS MY CONCERN AND THEY BASICALLY DID NOTHING BUT TAKE MY INFORMATION AND THEN TURN THE CALL INTO A SALES EFFORT. THEY ADVISED ME THERE WERE GREAT PROMOTIONS AND REBATES ON NEW VEHICLES RIGHT NOW. LIKE I WOULD WANT TO BUY A FORD AGAIN WHEN THEY HAVE NO REGARD FOR CONSUMER SAFETY!!! *TR
WHILE DRIVING ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS SUDDENLY THE CHECK ENGINE THROTTLE CONTROL LIGHT HAS COME ONE. UPON SAFELY PULLING OVER AND RESTARTING THE CAR THE LIGHT GOES OFF AND APPARENTLY THE THROTTLE RESETS. THE DANGER IS THAT WHEN THE LIGHT COMES ON THE CAR GOES INTO IDLE ONLY MODE. NO ACCELERATING, ETC. THERE IS NO WARNING THAT THIS IS GOING TO HAPPEN AND NO OTHER REMEDY. THE FIRST TIME I WAS IN A CARPOOL SETTING IDLING. THE SECOND TIME I HAD JUST GOTTEN OFF THE INTERSTATE AND WAS ABLE TO PULL INTO A SHOPPING CENTER. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN IF IT HAPPENS ON THE INTERSTATE. I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR IN TO HAVE A DIAGNOSTIC EVALUATION AND THERE IS NO KNOWN CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. AFTER READING 100S OF SIMILAR COMPLAINTS ONLINE IT IS APPARENT THIS IS A PROBLEM FOR THE MAKE AND MODEL THAT NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED. *TR
THIS IS THE 5TH TIME THIS PARTICULAR MALFUNCTION HAS OCCURRED WITHIN A 4 MONTH PERIOD. WHILE CRUISING AT LOW SPEED (5-15 MPH) IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC, THE ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATES AND THE VEHICLE SHUTS DOWN. WITH THE VEHICLE ENGINE OFF THERE ISN'T ANY POWER STEERING AND DRIVER MUST MANEUVER SAFELY TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND COME TO A COMPLETE STOP, PLACE VEHICLE IN PARK AND RESTART THE ENGINE. THE ERROR MESSAGE IS ABOUT THE THROTTLE CONTROL AND THE VEHICLE IS ONLY 4 YEARS OLD WITH 64,000 MILES. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN ESPECIALLY AT HIGH RATES OF SPEED AND THE PART IS NOT COVERED BY THE VEHICLE WARRANTY. I WENT TO THE FORD DEALER WHERE WE PURCHASED VEHICLE AND WAS CHARGED $684.00 TO REPLACE THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL. THAT'S WHEN I LEARNED THAT THIS MALFUNCTION HAS RECENTLY BEEN OCCURRING ON SEVERAL 2005 FORD EXPEDITION VEHICLES IN THE LAST 6 MONTHS. APPARENTLY, THERE IS NO FORD RECALL FOR THIS PART AND IT IS A TRUE SAFETY CONCERN FOR ALL FORD EXPEDITION OWNERS. *TR
2005 FORD EXPEDITION WILL DIE WHILE DRIVING AND A WRENCH LIGHT APPEARS ON THE DASH. THIS HAS HAPPENED MORE THAN 5 TIMES IN THE LAST MONTH. THE DEALER HAS STATED THAT THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF THESE OCCURRENCES WITH THE THROTTLE BODY NEEDING TO BE REPLACED AT AN $800 OWNERS EXPENSE. THE EXPEDITION IS NOT THE ONLY MODEL HAVING THIS PROBLEM. *TR
MY 05 FORD EXPEDITION WAS RECENTLY IN THE SHOP SEVERAL MONTHS BACK FOR ELECTRONIC THROTTLE ISSUES. TONIGHT THE CHECK ELECTRONIC THROTTLE LIGHT CAME ON AND CAUSED A TOTAL LOSS OF ACCELERATION. I PUT MY HAZARDS ON AND COASTED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. AFTER TURNING OFF MY ENGINE AND RESTARTING MY VEHICLE RUNS LIKE NORMAL AGAIN. LUCKILY IT WAS VERY LATE AT NIGHT AND NO OTHER CARS WERE AROUND. THIS IS POTENTIALLY VERY DANGEROUS IF IT OCCURS IN FAST MOVING TRAFFIC. I HAVE RESEARCHED THIS ISSUE AND SEE COUNTLESS POSTS ON INTERNET FORUMS FROM 05 FORD EXPEDITION OWNERS DETAILING MY EXACT ISSUE AND TEMPORARY SOLUTION. WHEN IS THIS GOING TO BE OFFICIALLY ACKNOWLEDGED BY FORD AS A SERIOUS DEFECT AND RECALLED? *TR

2005 FORD EXPEDITION EDDIE BAUER. DURING VEHICLE OPERATION THE ENGINE SUDDENLY DIES AND A "CHECK ELECTRONIC FUEL CONTROL" MESSAGE COMES UP ON THE DISPLAY. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AS IT OCCURS WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. AFTER THE VEHICLE IS PULLED OVER AND IGNITION IS TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE WILL RESTART. THIS HAS OCCURRED MULTIPLE TIMES IN MY VEHICLE. AFTER DOING NUMEROUS INTERNET SEARCHES THIS SEEMS TO BE A RECURRING PROBLEM IN MULTIPLE 2005 EXPEDITIONS. *TR
