I BOUGHT THE CAR IN 02/02/2007 IN A USED CONDITION THE 4X4 WAS NOT WORKING I REPLACED THE CM 4X4 AND THE 4X4 SWITCH IN LESS THEN 4 MONTHS IT WENT OUT I REPLACED THE 4X4 CONTROL MODULE AGAIN AND THIS MONTH IT WENT OUT FOR THE THIRD TIME ONLY THIS TIME IT IS STUCK IN THE 4X4 LO CHANGED THE MODULE WITH A FORD PART #2C54-7H473-BF SO I CAN GET AWAY FROM THE ONE DEFECTED ONES 1L24-7H473-AH BUT I THINK THE DAMAGE IS ALL DONE IN THE 4X4 DRIVING CASE MY CAR IS A 2002 FORD EXPLORER PLEASE CHECK THE WEB SITE HTTP://WWW.EXPLORERFORUM.COM/FORUMS/FORUMDISPLAY.PHP?F=101 AND YOU WILL SEE MOST OF COMPLAINTS ARE ABOUT THE 4X4 MORE THEN 3900 ALL HAVING THE SAME DEFECT PLEASE CHECK IT OUT AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS ALOT OF PEOPLE TOLD FORD ABOUT THEIR DEFECT BUT FORD WILL NOT DO NOTHING ABOUT IT THAT IS WHEY I AM DOING THIS COMPLAINT I AM SICK OF FORD NOT TAKING THIS ISSUE SERIOUSLY. *TR
LEFT REAR BLINKER AND BRAKE LIGHT QUIT WORKING. BULBS AND FUSES WERE CHANGED BUT DID NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM. PROBLEM WAS FOUND IN TILT STEERING COLUMN. A WIRE PULLED ITSELF FREE OF THE WIRE CONNECTION HARNESS DUE TO USAGE OF THE TILT STEERING FEATURE. THIS PROBLEM COULD HAVE LED TO A VERY SERIOUS TRAFFIC ACCIDENT SINCE DRIVERS BEHIND THE VEHICLE HAD NO IDEA THE VEHICLE WAS PREPARING TO MAKE AN LEFT HAND TURN AND IT COMPOUNDED THE PROBLEM BECAUSE ONLY ONE BRAKE LIGHT WORKED. MY HUSBAND TOOK THE STEERING COLUMN OFF AND REINSERTED THE WIRE INTO THE HARNESS AND APPLIED EPOXY TO SECURE IT. *TR
THE RADIO IN MY TRUCK BEGAN TO CHANGE STATIONS WITHOUT THE BUTTON BEING PRESSED. NEXT IT WOULD NOT RELEASE CD'S AND WOULD SWITCH FROM AM TO FM TO CD AND NOT ALLOW ME TO POWER IT OFF. NOW THE DISPLAY IS COMPLETELY GONE, TWO CD'S ARE STUCK INSIDE, AND THE RADIO DOESN'T WORK MORE THAN 5 MINUTES WITHOUT GOING CRAZY. MY PASSENGER SIDE LIGHTS IN THE REAR DON'T WORK MOST OF THE TIME BUT THE BULB HAS BEEN CHANGED. WHEN YOU MOVE THE WIRE A LITTLE IT WORKS BUT THEN STOPS AGAIN. I BELIEVE THE WIRING IS ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR THE RADIO PROBLEMS. I CAN'T REMEMBER HOWEVER, IF THIS HAS STARTED BEFORE OR AFTER THE TRUCK WAS TAKEN IN FOR A RECALL FOR SOMETHING ELSE. *TR
MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND PARKING BRAKE 2002 FORD EXPLORER SPORT TRAC 39800 SLAVE AND MASTER CYLINDERS REPLACED AT 700.00 IN JANUARY 2008. FIRST INCIDENCE OCCURRED DECEMBER 24, 2007. I WAS ACTUALLY PULLING INTO GRANDMA'S DRIVE ON CHRISTMAS EVE AND TRIED TO BACK UP INTO A SPACE WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STUCK IN PLACE BLOCKING EVERYONE IN. IT DID FINALLY WORK. THEN AT A SHOPPING CENTER IT WOULD NOT MOVE FORWARD WHEN STOPPING FOR PEDESTRIANS TO CROSS AND THEN GOING THROUGH AN INTERSECTION WHEN SHIFTING IT JUST STOPPED BETWEEN 2ND AND 3RD WOULDN'T MOVE INTO ANY GEAR. IT WAS STUCK BETWEEN GEARS AND WOULD NOT MOVE. I WAS BLOCKING AN INTERSECTION WHEN I NOW HAD A RED LIGHT. EVENTUALLY, I DID GET IT MOVING TO MY HOME, BUT HAD IT TOWED TO THE MECHANIC SINCE IT JUST WOULD NOT MOVE AT ALL ONCE RESTARTED. I WONDER IF THE ABS FAILURE IN AUGUST 2007 CAUSED THIS PROBLEM. THE MALFUNCTION OF THE ABS WOULD CAUSE STRESS ON THE TRANSMISSION WITH THE ABS COMING ON RANDOMLY AT ANY SPEED. PLEASE SEE MY BRAKE FAILURE COMPLAINT AND ALSO DEFECTIVE CALIPER COMPLAINT(CALIPER OCCURRED AT ONLY A FEW THOUSAND MILES). THE PARKING BRAKE RELEASE IS STILL A PROBLEM. YOU MUST PUT YOUR FOOT UNDER THE FOOT PEDAL OF THE PARKING BRAKE TO GET IT TO RELEASE COMPLETELY. THE LIGHT MAY GO OFF BUT THE EMERGENCY BRAKE IS STILL ENGAGED. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 FORD EXPLORER SPORT TRAC. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE LIGHT SWITCH THAT CONTROLS THE HEADLIGHTS HAS BEEN REPLACED FOUR TIMES. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ONCE WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH. HE FEELS THAT THE VEHICLE IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE BECAUSE THE LIGHT SWITCH MAY NOT WORK WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT. FORD RECALL AUGUST 2007, FAULTY CRUISE CONTROL, 2002 EXPLORER SPORT TRAC. VEHICLE TAKEN TO DEALER. PARTS NOT AVAILABLE. DEALER MADE TEMPORARY REPAIR BY DISABLING THE CRUISE CONTROL. AS OF 2/5/2008 VEHICLE IS STILL WITHOUT CRUISE CONTROL. DEALER CLAIMS PARTS NOT PROVIDED BY FORD. *TR
I RECEIVED IN THE MAIL A LETTER FROM FORD MOTOR COMPANY TO INSTALL A FUSED WIRING HARNESS INTO THE SPEED CONTROL SYSTEM OF MY VEHICLE FREE OF CHARGE (PARTS AND LABOR). I HAVE CALLED MY LOCAL SERVICE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES, SINCE AUGUST OF 2007. THE SERVICE MANAGER HAS ALWAYS TOLD ME THAT PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE AND TO CALL BACK. I HAVE CALLED 5 TIMES, INCLUDING TODAY, 07 APRIL 2008. I DO HAVE A 2002 EXPLORER SPORTS TRAX. I AM HAVING A DIFFICULT TIME GETTING MY VEHICLE REPAIRED IN A REASONABLE TIME AND WITHOUT CHARGE. *TR
FORD RECALL#05S28 (SPEED CONTROL DEACTIVATION SWITCH). POSSIBLE UNDERHOOD FIRE IF NOT REPAIRED. NOTIFIED IN AUG. 2007 IT IS NOW JAN. 2008 AND THE CONDITION HAS NOT BEEN CORRECTED. *CN
RECEIVED A LETTER DATED 8/07 THAT THE SPEED CONTROL OF MY VEHICLE,2002 FORD EXPLORER SPORT TRACK, COULD CAUSE A FIRE EVEN WHEN ENGINE TURNED OFF. A MONTH PASSES OR TWO BEFORE I WAS ABLE TO TAKE MY TRUCK TO HAVE THE SPEED CONTROL DISCONNECTED. AT THIS TIME THE GRUBBS SHOP MANAGER INFORMED ME THAT CURRENTLY NO PARTS WERE AVAILABLE TO FIX THE SPEED CONTROL. I SHOULD THINK THAT SINCE 8/07 THERE HAS BEEN TIME FOR THE FORD MOTOR COMPANY TO GET THESE PROBLEMS TAKEN CARE OF, AND SINCE I USED TO USE MY SPEED CONTROL HEAVILY I'M TIRED OF THIS WAITING WITHOUT ANY NOTIFICATION FROM THE PARENT COMPANY SO I' COMPLAINING.*CN

HE HAS BEEN INFORMED EVERY MONTH THEREAFTER THAT THE PARTS WILL BE AVAILABLE THE FOLLOWING MONTH. THERE HAD BEEN NO FAILURE TO DATE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 99,000. UPDATED 3/4/08 *CN
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 FORD EXPLORER SPORT TRAC. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A SAFETY RECALL NOTICE ON AUGUST 20, 2007 FOR THE VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL. THE SPEED CONTROL SWITCH WAS DISCONNECTED IN SEPTEMBER OF 2007. HE HAS CALLED FORD EACH MONTH UP UNTIL MARCH OF 2008 AND WAS INFORMED EACH TIME THAT THE PART WILL BE AVAILABLE THE FOLLOWING MONTH. THERE HAD BEEN NO FAILURE TO DATE. THE PURCHASE DATE AND RECALL NUMBER WERE UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 57,500. UPDATE 04-02-08 *BF
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 FORD EXPLORER SPORT TRAC. WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE TRANSMISSION SWITCHED TO A LOWER GEAR. IN ADDITION, THE OVERDRIVE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD LOSE CONTROL SLIGHTLY WHEN THE FAILURE OCCURRED. THE FAILURE OCCURS EVERYTIME THE VEHICLE IS DRIVEN. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED BY THE DEALER. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 150,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 148,000.
I RECEIVED A RECALL ON MY FORD VEHICLE FOR THE SPEED CONTROL. IT MAY LEAK CAUSING AN UNDERHOOD FIRE. I NEED TO HAVE A FUSED WIRING HARNESS INSTALLED INTO THE SPEED CONTROL SYSTEM. ACCORDING TO FORD DEALERSHIPS THE PART IS NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE WITH ME DUE TO THE FACT THAT I PARK MY TRUCK IN MY GARAGE THAT IS ATTACHED TO MY HOME. I DO NOT WANT MY HOME TO BURN DOWN AND DO NOT WANT A FIRE TO START UNDER MY HOOD WHILE DRIVING EITHER. PLEASE HELP IT HAS BEEN 6 MONTHS SINCE I RECEIVED THE RECALL. *TR
RECALL ON FORD CRUISE CONTROL FOR 2002 SPORT TRAC TRUCK. I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM FORD TO HAVE IT DISCONNECTED LAST AUG 2007. TO THIS DATE THEY STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY TO THE DEALERS TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM. LOOKS LIKE FORD IS DRAGGING THEIR FEET. *TR
BRAKE FAILURE 2002 FORD EXPLORER SPORT TRAC ONLY 38000 MI WHEN THIS OCCURRED IN AUG 07. I ALMOST HIT THE BACK OF A SCHOOL BUS WHEN DROPPING MY CHILDREN OFF AT SCHOOL. THE BRAKES WOULD GRIND AND NOT STOP THE VEHICLE AND SOMETIMES PULSATION WOULD OCCUR AT ANY SPEED. IT WAS LIKE THE ANTILOCK BRAKING SYSTEM WAS COMING ON WHEN IT SHOULDN'T(SUMMER DRY ROADS) AND THEN GETTING STUCK IN THE BRAKE RELEASE STATE. SO WHEN TRYING TO STOP THE VEHICLE WITH THE FOOT PEDAL, THE ANTILOCK BRAKING SYSTEM WAS WORKING AGAINST YOUR BRAKING ACTION. THIS CAUSES A VERY SCARY FEELING WHEN YOU HAVE YOUR FOOT TO THE FLOOR AND THE VEHICLE STILL REMAINS IN MOTION. THE BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS WERE REPLACED, BUT NOT THE PROBLEM. THE NEXT INCIDENCE OCCURRED IN A BUSY INTERSECTION WHEN WE WERE ALMOST HIT BY ONCOMING TRAFFIC BECAUSE THE VEHICLE WOULDN'T STOP AT A RED LIGHT. WHEN TAKING THE VEHICLE TO THE MECHANIC I ALMOST HIT 2 PEDESTRIANS IN A CROSSWALK AT A STOP SIGN. THE VEHICLE JUST KEPT ON GOING AND I QUICKLY BEEPED THE HORN FOR A NEAR MISS OF A MAN AND HIS LITTLE BOY. THE MECHANIC TOLD ME THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE ANTILOCK BRAKING SYSTEM WHICH CAUSES THE BRAKES TO MALFUNCTION. HE SENT US TO ANOTHER MECHANIC AND HE SAID THIS IS A DEFECT IN CERTAIN FORD EXPLORER MODELS. THE ANTILOCK BRAKING SENSORS, ALONG WITH THE LOCATION OF THEM IS THE PROBLEM. HE SAID TO FIX THIS IT WOULD COST ANYWHERE BETWEEN 300-600 DEPENDING ON WHAT ELSE WAS DAMAGED, BUT HE STRESSED DRIVING THE VEHICLE LIKE THIS IS AN EXTREME SAFETY HAZARD. I WAS UPSET BECAUSE OF THE LOW MILES ON THIS VEHICLE. IT WAS ONLY OVER WARRANTY MILES BY 2000 BUT 5 YRS OLD. I COULD NOT AFFORD TO FIX THIS SO I WAS INSTRUCTED TO PULL THE FUSE ON THE ABS BECAUSE IT WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE WITH THE ABS. I HAVE THREE CHILDREN AND THIS IS MY ONLY TRANSPORTATION. WITH THE ABS FUSE PULLED I DO NOT HAVE THE PROBLEM, BUT LACKING ABS. FORD NEEDS TO STAND BY THERE PRODUCT AND OFFER A RECALL ON THIS COMPLETELY UNSAFE MALFUNCTION OF THE ANTILOCK BRAKING SYSTEM. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 FORD EXPLORER SPORT TRAC. WHILE PROCEEDING TO MAKE A LEFT TURN, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO STOP. THE CONTACT HAD TO APPLY MAXIMUM PRESSURE TO THE BRAKES IN ORDER TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE ALSO OCCURRED WHILE HER HUSBAND WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE. WHEN HE APPLIED MAXIMUM PRESSURE TO THE BRAKES, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN SHE DEPRESSES THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY SPEEDS FORWARD. THE FAILURE HAS OCCURRED THREE TIMES AND THE MOST RECENT OCCURRENCE CAUSED HIM TO CRASH INTO A WALL. THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED AND THE DAMAGES TOTALED $6,800. THE DEALER INFORMED HER THAT THEY WOULD LOOK INTO THE MATTER. AS OF AUGUST 15, 2007, THE VEHICLE IS STILL IN THE REPAIR SHOP. THE SPEED WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 51,050. UPDATED 10/04/07 *TR
FORD SAFETY RECALL NOTICE RECEIVED APPROX 6 MONTHS AGO. APPARENTLY THE CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM LIKES TO START FIRES. I CONTINUE TO BE TOLD BY THE DEALER THE PARTS NECESSARY TO PREVENT THE FAILURE ARE 'NOT AVAILABLE'. THIS IS INCREDIBLE. HOW IS FORD ALLOWED TO GET AWAY WITH THOUSANDS OF VEHICLES ON THE ROAD THAT CAN CATCH FIRE AT ANY TIME? OBVIOUSLY, GIVEN HOW MUCH TIME HAS GONE BY, FORD IS THUMBING THEIR NOSE AT BOTH THE CONSUMER AND THE GOVERNMENT. *TR
OD LIGHT FLASHING, REBUILDS TRANSMISION AND NOTHING CHANGE, I SEE A LOT OF COMPLAINS ABOUT THIS PROBLEMS ON EXPLORERS, RANGERS AND MUSTANGS
I NEVER HAVE ANY WARNING BEFORE MY TRANSMISSION SLIPS WHILE DRIVING MY 2002 FORD EXPLORER SPORT TRAC. MY TRANSMISSION SLIPS WHEN IT SHIFTS FROM 2ND GEAR INTO 3RD GEAR, AFTER THE TRANSMISSION SLIPS MY OD DASH LIGHT BEGINS FLASHING; THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE THE FIRST MONTH I THAT I HAVE OWNED (APRIL 2007, WITH 77,000 MILES). I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO GET THE DEALERSHIP TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM, BUT THEY WILL NOT TOUCH IT UNLESS I PAID $195. I CANNOT AFFORD TO HAVE THAT DONE UNLESS THE COST GOES TOWARDS A REPAIR. I HAVE RESEARCHED THIS PROBLEM ON THE INTERNET AND I FOUND NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS TRANSMISSION ISSUE HAPPENING. *TR
RATTLE OR THUMMING SOUND FROM REAR OF INSTRUMENT PANEL SOUNDS LIKE SPEDOMETER CABLE NOT LUBRICATED. SOUND CHANGES IN FREQUENCY AND VOLUME WITH SPEED OF VEHICLE. *AK

VEHICLE IS A 2002 FORD SPORT TRAC WITH APPROX 42K MILES. BEGAN WITH RAPID FLASHING OF LEFT TURN SIGNAL. REAR TURN AND BRAKE LAMP WERE INOPERABLE. REPLACING BULB HAD NO EFFECT. FOUND POSITIONING STEERING COLUMN TO A HIGHER TILT POSITION CORRECTED MALFUNCTION. REMOVED STEERING COLUMN COVER AND FOUND 4 WIRES PULLED OUT OF CONNECTOR ON MULTI-FUNCTION (TURN SIGNAL SWITCH). WIRES MOVE IN AND OUT AS COLUMN IS MOVED THROUGH TILT RANGE. WIRES OUT AT BOTTOM OF TILT AND IN AT TOP OF TILT RANGE. REMOVED CONNECTOR PART # E6DB-14489-DA. 3 CONNECTOR PIN RETAINERS FELL OUT AND WERE RECOVERED. A FOURTH WAS FOUND TO BE IN THE CONNECTOR BUT NOT RETAINING IT'S PIN. CONNECTOR MUST BE REPLACED TO CORRECT PROBLEM. ALSO THE WIRING HARNESS IS SECURED ABOVE THE TILT PIVOT POINT OF THE STEERING COLUMN. I BELIEVE THE HARNESS IS SECURED WITH INSUFFICIENT SLACK TO PREVENT EXCESSIVE STRESS ON THE CONNECTOR AT THE LOWER POSITIONS OF THE STEERING COLUMN TILT RANGE. I BASE THIS ON THE FACT THAT THE 3 PINS WITH BROKEN RETAINERS ARE ON THE TOP ROW OF THE CONNECTOR AND WOULD BE THE MOST STRESSED IN A LOWER POSITION OF THE STEERING WHEEL. ALSO I HAVE OVER 20 YEARS OF AIRCRAFT ELECTRONICS EXPERIENCE AS AN AVIONICS TECHNICIAN AND FULLY UNDERSTAND PROPER WIRE ROUTING PROCEDURES. DIGITAL PICTURES OF THE CONNECTOR ARE AVAILABLE. *JB
PASSENGER SIDE REAR DOOR WILL NOT OPEN EXCEPT FOR FROM THE OUTSIDE. *NM
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 FORD EXPLORER SPORT TRAC. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SPEEDOMETER DISPLAYS 10 MPH, EVEN IF THE VEHICLE IS TRAVELING AT HIGHER SPEEDS. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE COMPONENTS WERE OPERATING NORMALLY AND THEY MAY BE ABLE TO PLACE A SPEEDOMETER CLUSTER ON THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED FROM A PRIVATE PARTY. THE SPEED WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 99,679 AND THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE USED AT 22,000 MILES FROM LOCAL FORD DEALER. AT 27,380 FORD DEALER FURNISHED MULTI-POINT INSPECTION, SHOWED NO BRAKE ISSUES. AT 43,000 MILES THE BRAKES STARTED GRINDING METAL TO METAL. UP TO THIS TIME THERE WAS NO AUDIBLE WARNING AS I USUAL. TO MY SUPRISE THE ROTORS COULD NOT BE TURNED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED . THE BRAKES COULD HAVE BEEN REPLACED AND ROTORS TURNED BEFOR MY PURCHASE BUT SOUNDED LIKE STRETCH OF THE IMAGINATION, INFERIOR PRODUCTS ?? *AK
BACK SEAT DOOR HANDLE WERE IN CHILD LOCK POSITIONS AND BROKE WHEN PULLED TO OPEN. FIRST THE PASSENGER SIDE AND THEN THE DRIVER SIDE. THE ONE ON THE DRIVER SIDE WAS BROKEN BY THE DEALER WHEN THEY WERE DOING THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE BOLT RECALL. OF COURSE THEY SAY THEY DIDN'T BREAK IT. THE SEAT BACK ADJUSTMENT WAS ALSO BROKEN DURING THE BOLT INSTALLATION. I ONLY HAD 37,000 MILES ON THE TRUCK BUT THE WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED. THEY WANT $300 PER DOOR HANDLE. THE DEALER PROMISED OVER THE PHONE TO REPAIR BOTH THE RECALL AND THE ENGINE LIGHT, BUT LATER DENIED SERVICE BECAUSE THE VEHICLE WAS 24,000 MILES OVER THE LIMIT TO REPAIR THE OXYGEN SENSOR. THE TECHNICIAN DISCONNECTED THE CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH TO PREVENT A FIRE FROM OCCURRING UNTIL THE PARTS FOR THE RECALL WERE AVAILABLE. A YEAR HAS PASSED AND THE DEALER STILL DOES NOT HAVE THE PARTS FOR THE REPAIR. THE RECALL NUMBER WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 56,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000.

2002 FORD SPORT TRAC 8 YEAR OLD CHILD BROKE DOOR HANDLE WHEN TRYING TO OPEN DOOR WITH CHILD LOCK ON. 5 YEAR OLD CHILD BROKE THE OTHER DOOR HANDLE THE SAME WAY. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS. THESE HANDLES ARE NOT HEAVY DTY ENOUGH FOR THE WEIGHT THAT IS FORCED ON THEM WHEN TRYING TO OPEN EVEN WITH THE CHILD LOCK OFF. THESE AUTOMAKERS SHOULD BE FORCED TO STOP USING THE PUBLIC AS GUINEA PIGS TO FIND OUT WHAT PROBLEMS THEY HAVE AND THEN NEVER ISSUE RECALLS. THEY JUST MODIFY IT ON THE NEXT MODEL AND BLOW OFF PRIOR OWNERS. THE HANDLES ACTUALLY CUT MY DAUGHTERS HAND WHEN IT BROKE. IT IS UTTERLY RIDICULOUS. ALSO THE BRAKES ON THE SAME VEHICLE. HAVING HAD THE ROTORS TURNED TWICE AND THEN REPLACED AND HAVING LESS THAN 40,000 MILES ON VEHICLE SEEMED EXCESSIVE.
