ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS, THE CAR STALLED AFTER DE-ACCELERATING TO A STOPPED POSITION AND MADE A "CLUNK" SOUND FROM THE TRANSMISSION AREA. DURING THE FIRST EVENT AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT, A VERY NOTICEABLE "CLUNK" WAS HEARD THAT SOUNDED LIKE THE TRANSMISSION. THE CAR WAS RE-STARTED AND SEEMED TO DRIVE NORMALLY. TO BE ON THE SAFE SIDE, WE BROUGHT THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE IT CHECKED BUT THEY COULD FIND NOTHING WRONG. DURING THE SECOND EVENT AT A STOP SIGN, ANOTHER VERY NOTICEABLE "CLUNK" WAS HEARD FROM THE UNDERSIDE OF THE CAR AND THE CAR ACTUALLY SHIFTED SO THAT IT WAS FELT BY THE BODY. AFTER RE-STARTING THE CAR THIS TIME AND PLACING IT INTO DRIVE, THIS TIME THE CAR DID NOT MOVE WHEN PRESSING DOWN ON THE GAS PEDAL. INSTEAD, ONLY THE ENGINE REVVED UP. IN ADDITION, WHEN PUTTING THE GEAR INTO THE REVERSE OR DRIVE POSITION, THAT LOUD "CLUNK" SOUND AND THE PHYSICAL SHIFTING OF THE VEHICLE ALSO HAPPENED. BECAUSE THE CAR WOULD LITERALLY NOT GO, WE CALLED FOR A TOW-TRUCK AND TOOK IT TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP. AT THE DEALERSHIP, A CUSTOMER CARE REP AND A TECHNICIAN CAME OUTSIDE TO LOOK AT THE CAR. WHEN PUTTING THE CAR INTO REVERSE AND DRIVE, THE SAME "CLUNK" AND SHIFTING OF THE VEHICLE WAS OBSERVED AND ACKNOWLEDGED BY BOTH MEN. HOWEVER, AT THIS POINT THE CAR WOULD MOVE FORWARD WHEN APPLYING THE GAS. WE LEFT THE CAR AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR EVALUATION. WHEN FOLLOWING UP EARLY THE NEXT WEEK, ,WE WERE INFORMED THAT THEY HAD DRIVEN THE CAR ABOUT 100 MILES OVER THE COURSE OF THREE TRIPS AND THE CAR WAS RUNNING NORMALLY. ALSO, WE WERE TOLD THAT THE DIAGNOSTIC/EVALUATION OF THE PCM AND TRANSMISSION DID NOT SHOW ANYTHING WAS WRONG. IN MY OPINION, THERE ARE TWO PROBLEMS HERE: #1, THE STALLING/TRANSMISSION PROBLEM AND #2, THE INABILITY TO IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM FOR SUCH A MAJOR EVENT
SHIFT TO PARK ISSUE - THE VEHICLE IS IN PARK BUT THE DASH LIGHTS UP AND SAYS "SHIFT TO PARK'. THIS HAPPENS EVEN THOUGH THE VEHICLE IS ACTUALLY IN PARK. AFTER SEVERAL TRIES CANNOT GET THE DASH LIGHT TO TURN OFF. PROBLEM IS EVEN THOUGH THE CAR IS TURNED OFF THE BACK LIGHT ON THE DASH WILL STAY ON THUS DRAINING THE BATTERY. IF YOU DON'T DRIVE THE CAR FOR A FEW DAYS YOU COULD COME OUT TO A CAR THAT WON'T START BECAUSE OF A DEAD BATTERY. HAD IT FIXED AT MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP COSTING ROUGHLY $500. THE TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN THAT IS OUT ON THE ISSUE SAYS TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE SHIFTER. THE PROBLEM IS SOMETHING ON THE INSIDE OF THE SHIFTER. MY VEHICLE HAS LESS THAN 60,000 MILES. THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM (JUST GOOGLE "SHIFT TO PARK"). ACCORDING TO THE TSB THIS AFFECTS EXPLORER, EDGE, AND SOME LINCOLN MODELS AS WELL. DISAPPOINTED FORD WILL NOT TAKE CARE OF SINCE THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. DEALERSHIP SERVICE MANAGER SAYS FORD SHOULD PAY FOR IT (BOB UTTER FORD) AND FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE LINE SAYS THEY ONLY PAY FOR ITEMS UNDER WARRANTY, RECALLS, AND THE CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM. THIS DOES NOT FALL UNDER ANY OF THOSE PER FORD. FORD SHOULD ANTI UP FOR THIS AS A RECALL SINCE IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND A VERY COMMON PROBLEM. VEHICLE STATIONARY DURING PROBLEM.

MY FORD EXPLORER LTD. IS ABOUT 3.5 YRS. OLD. EVER SINCE IT HIT ABOUT 40,000 MILES, THE PAINT ON THE HOOD HAS STARTED TO BUBBLE AND IS PEELING/CHIPPING OFF FROM THE FRONT EDGE. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE THAT FORD IS REFUSING TO ADDRESS. A SIMPLE GOOGLE SEARCH BRINGS UP A NUMBER OF RESULTS OF PEOPLE HAVING SIMILAR ISSUES (HTTPS://WWW.GOOGLE.COM/?GWS_RD=SSL#Q=FORD%20EXPLORER%20PAINT%20BUBBLING). IT'S VERY TROUBLING THAT A $45,000 CAR THAT IS ONLY A FEW YEARS OLD ALREADY HAS BUBBLING PAINT AND A CORRODING HOOD AND THAT IT SEEMS TO BE A PERVASIVE ISSUE THAT MANY OWNERS ARE DEALING WITH. WHILE THE DAMAGE IS NOT THAT EXTENSIVE RIGHT NOW, IT GETS WORSE EACH DAY AND IS GOING TO EVENTUALLY LEAD TO RUST AND COMPLETE CORROSION IF IT'S NOT DEALT WITH UPFRONT. I'VE ATTACHED A COUPLE PHOTOS THAT SHOWS THE CURRENT STATE AT ABOUT 61,000 MILES. I'VE TRIED TO REACH OUT TO FORD A NUMBER OF TIMES AND THE ONLY RESPONSE I CAN GET FROM THEM IS THAT IT'S THE DEALERSHIP'S ISSUE WHETHER THEY CAN DO ANYTHING FOR IT AND WHEN I'VE BROUGHT IT TO A DEALERSHIP THEY SAY THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING BECAUSE FORD TELLS THEM NOTHING IS COVERED.
36,000 MILES ON MY 2013 FORD EXPLORER. STARTED UP MY CAR AND WENT TO BACK UP AND I HAD NO POWER STEERING. MY CAR WAS BUILT AFTER THE CUT OFF OF THE RE-CALL AND WILL BE HAVING IT LOOKED AT AND FIXED ON MONDAY. FORD NEEDS TO EXTEND THE RE-CALL TO LATER MODELS AS THIS PROBLEM IS EFFECTING A LOT MORE FORDS THEN THEY THOUGHT. THIS IS OUT RIGHT WRONG OF FORD.
BOUGHT A USED FORD EXPLORE XLT WITH 32K MILES. AS I HAVE BEEN DRIVING THE SUV I AM NOTICING THAT WHENEVER I FULLY PRESS DOWN ON THE GAS PEDDLE TO INCREASE MY ACCELERATION WHETHER I AM MERGING ONTO THE FREEWAY, CHANGING LANES OR SCALING A HILL, THE CABIN IS FILLED WITH A STRONG EMISSIONS ODOR. WHICH WORRIES ME BECAUSE I NORMALLY HAVE CHILDREN IN THE VEHICLE. AS I LET UP ON THE GAS PEDDLE THE ODOR DISSIPATES. I HAVE NOTICED THIS ODOR WHEN I HAVE MY MAX A/C FUNCTION ON WHICH IS USING RECIRCULATED AIR.
ON JULY 5, 2016 I FELL ASLEEP WHILE DRIVING MY EXPLORER IN I-495 SOUTH OF BOSTON AT ABOUT 1:00 P.M. I READ AN ARTICLE ABOUT EXHAUST FUMES IN THE CABIN OF THIS MODEL. WAREHAM FORD SAID THAT MY CAR HAD THIS PROBLEM AND REFERRED ME TO TSB 14-0130 SHOWING THAT FORD KNOWS OF THIS PROBLEM. I WAS CHARGED $700.72 TO CORRECT THIS DANGEROUS PROBLEM. I THINK FORD SHOULD RECALL THESE VEHICLES AND PAY TO FIX THEM. FORTUNATELY, THERE WERE NO INJURIES OR PROPERTY DAMAGE IN MY CASE BUT THAT MIGHT NOT BE SO FOR THE NEXT PERSON.
WHEN ACCELERATING FROM LESS THAN ~35 MPH TO HIGHER THAN ~55 MPH THE CABIN FILLS WITH EXHAUST SMELL.
VEHICLE EMITS BAD ODOR UPON HARD ACCELERATION OR ANY OTHER ACTIVITY WHICH PUTS A STRAIN ON THE ENGINE. DEALER DEODORIZED THE EXHAUST SYSTEM WITH SOME PERFUME LIKE SUBSTANCE WHICH STOPPED THE SMELL, BUT PROBABLY NOT THE GAS, FOR A WHILE WHICH SOON WORE OFF AND RETURNED. FORD DOES NOT CLAIM TO KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE ISSUE. I'M CONCERNED ABOUT CARBON MONOXIDE AND HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT PUTTING IN A SENSOR TO RECORD THE LEVELS. THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE EXHAUST SYSTEM.
THE DRIVER DOOR WAS CLOSED, BUT THE "DOOR AJAR" LIGHT WAS ON AND THE INTERIOR LIGHT WAS ON WHILE SITTING IN THE DRIVEWAY. IF WE PUT IT IN GEAR TO DRIVE OFF THE ERROR COMES ON THE DASH TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK. IT WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND THEY DID A RESET ON THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. THEN ABOUT THREE MONTHS IT STARTED AGAIN. THE DEALER IS TRYING TO CHARGE US EVERY TIME WE COME IN WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. I PUT THE VIN IN BUT IT SAYS NO RECALLS, BUT SOME OF THE 2013 EXPLORERS HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM....

EXHAUST SMELL ENTERING VEHICLE WHEN ACCELERATING. ORIGINAL TSB PERFORMED BUT WAS INEFFECTIVE
EXHAUST FUMES ENTER THE CABIN DURING HARD ACCELERATION. THIS IS MOST NOTICEABLE WHEN ALL WINDOWS ARE CLOSED AND THE CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM IS ON. REPRODUCIBLE MOST EASILY WHEN AT 30 MPH OR HIGHER WHEN MERGING ONTO A HIGHWAY. THIS HAS HAPPENED SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED NEW. ONE NOTE: THIS MAY HAPPEN AT ANY SPEED HOWEVER THE VEHICLE IS NOT PUT UNDER MAXIMUM OR NEAR MAXIMUM ACCELERATION UNLESS MERGING ONTO A HIGHWAY OR PASSING.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD EXPLORER. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, AN EXHAUST FUME ODOR ENTERED INTO THE CABIN OF THE VEHICLE. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT BECAME NAUSEATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 59,000.
IN TWO SEPARATE INCIDENTS, WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH ON AN INTERSTATE, THE WINDSHIELD TRIM FLEW OFF THE VEHICLE STRIKING ANOTHER VEHICLE ON THE INTERSTATE. THE TRIM CAME OFF BOTH THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDES OF THE VEHICLE.
FUEL THROTTLE BODY ERROR P2111 HAS HAPPENED 5 TIMES IN 3 DAYS, CAUSING GREAT DISTRESS TO ME AND MY FAMILY. THIS IS A POTENTIALLY DEADLY DEFECT AND IT SEEMS MANY OTHERS ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. WHAT OCCURS IS THAT A WRENCH APPEARS ON SCREEN WITH THE ERROR MESSAGE "TERRAIN MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FAULT" AND THE VEHICLE GOES INTO "LIMP MODE," EVEN AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, CAUSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL TO BECOME UNRESPONSIVE.
STARTED NOTICING SMELL OF ROTTEN EGGS THIS PAST SUMMER WHILE DRIVING, DEALERSHIP SAID IT WAS PROBABLY JUST SEALANT USED AROUND WINDSHIELD GETTING OVERHEATED. ALWAYS HAD HEADACHES AFTER DRIVING EVEN FOR 15 MINUTES AT A TIME. SMELL WENT AWAY THIS WINTER BUT HEADACHES AND FUNNY FEELING AFTER DRIVING HAVE STILL BEEN A CONCERN. NOW AM LEARNING IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH EXHAUST LEAKING INTO REAR OF VEHICLE.

WHEN AIR CONDITIONER AUXILIARY IS ON THE SMELL OF EXHAUST OR FUME IS BEING SMELT COMING THRU THE AIR VENTS. ALSO I HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING A DELAY IN TAKE OFF WHEN I PRESS ON THE GAS PEDAL.
THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING QUIT WORKING ON MY CAR. THERE WAS A RECALL FOR MY CAR'S YEAR MODEL FOR THIS ISSUE, HOWEVER, FORD SAID IT DOES NOT COVER THE MONTH MY CAR WAS MANUFACTURED. I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR TO A FORD DEALERSHIP WHO TOLD ME THEY VERIFIED THAT IT WAS THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM THAT THE RECALLED VEHICLES HAD. I THEN OPENED UP A CASE NUMBER WITH FORD AND AFTER A MONTH OF WAITING THEY SAID THEY WOULD NOT BE COVERING THIS DEFECT. THE CAR IS EXTREMELY HARD TO STEER AND SOMETIMES NEAR IMPOSSIBLE. I FEEL THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN THAT SHOULD BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY. HOWEVER, FORD DOES NOT SEEM TO CARE.
VEHICLE WAS PARKED AND WHEN I STARTED TO BACK UP THE MESSAGE CENTER DISPLAYED AND FLASHED POWER ASSIST AND THE STEERING WAS DIFFICULT TO TURN. I PULLED FORWARD INTO THE PARKING SPACE, SHUT THE CAR OFF AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE. AT THIS POINT THE POWER STEERING RETUNED AND I DROVE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP. FORD HAS A RECALL FOR SIMILAR 2011-2013 EXPLORERS BUT THE VIN CODE SERIES ON MY EXPLORER DOES NOT FALL UNDER THE CURRENT RECALL WHICH IS #14S06. I HAVE ATTACHED A SERVICE INVOICE OF THE REPAIRS DONE WHICH ARE THE EXACT REPAIRS THE RECALL #14S06 CALLS FOR.
MY 2013 FORD EXPLORER XLT 3.5L TRANSMISSION STARTED LEAKING FLUID BEFORE 27,058 MILES ON JUNE 14,2016 AND AS OF TODAY MARCH 3,2018 AT 44,678 MILES THE TRANSMISSION IS STILL LEAKING. THE PROBLEM WAS BROUGHT TO MY DEALERSHIP'S ATTENTION DURING A REPAIR OF BLISTERING PAINT ON THE HOOD. DEALER STATED THEY FIXED LEAKING OIL PAN RATHER THAN LEAKING TRANSMISSION. AS OF TODAY VEHICLE HAS 44,678 MILES AND TRANSMISSION HAS SHOWN SEVERAL PROBLEMS WHEN IN OPERATION: GEARS TAKE TOO LONG TO TRANSFER POWER FROM 2ND TO 3RD, 4TH TO 5TH, SEVERE OVER REVVING OF ENGINE, JERKING FEELING COMING FROM TRANSMISSION WHILE TRANSITIONING THROUGH THOSE GEARS, ABNORMAL LOUD SOUNDS EMITTING FROM TRANSMISSION DURING THESE GEAR CHANGES, LEAKING AND DRIPPING OF TRANSMISSION FLUID ONTO HOT TRANSMISSION CASE, BURNING OF TRANSMISSION FLUID AND VAPORS ENTERING VEHICLE CABIN, AND PASSENGERS COMPLAINING OF NOXIOUS OIL SMELL WITHIN THE CABIN.
WINDSHIELD MOLDING ON DRIVER SIDE SUDDENLY DETACHED AND WENT FLYING OFF ON THE HIGHWAY. PLASTIC MOLDING IS ATTACHED AND GLUED. PLASTIC AND GLUE APPEARED TO BREAK / MELT UNABLE TO HOLD THE MOLDING IN PLACE. IT IS A CRITICAL HAZARD AS THE FLYING MOLDING CAN HIT A VEHICLE / PERSON CAUSING A SERIOUS ACCIDENT OR HARM. LAST YEAR, THE MOLDING ON THE PASSENGER SIDE WAS REPLACED BY THE DEALERSHIP AS IT WAS LOOSE. DEALER NOTED THAT 1) THE MOLDING ON THE EXPLORER WAS A BAD, PLASTIC MADE PART, THAT BEEN REPLACED ON OTHER EXPLORERS AS THE MOLDING WENT FLYING OFF ON THE HIGHWAY, AND 2) THERE MAY BE WATER DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE DUE TO THE MISSING PART. FLYING OBJECTS ON A HIGHWAY ARE SERIOUS HAZARDS THAT CAN CAUSE SERIOUS ACCIDENTS, EVENT DEATH. FORD NEEDS TO RECALL THE PLASTIC MADE PARTS AND FIND A WAY TO ATTACH A MOLDING THAT DO NOT BREAK / MELT. I AM SERIOUSLY CONCERN FOR THE SAFETY OF OTHER AND THE LIABILITY RISK THE INHERENT LIABILITY TO THE OWNERS OF EXPLORERS IF AN ACCIDENT OR HARM IS CAUSED BY SUCH DEFECTIVE PART.
A STRONG EXHAUST ODOR EXISTS IN THE CABIN AREA DURING MODERATE AND HARD ACCELERATION. THE ODOR IS NOXIOUS AND REQUIRES THE WINDOWS TO BE OPENED TO VENT IT OUT.
I HAVE A 2013 FORD EXPLORER WITH 44,000 MILES AND SENT IT TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER SAID THE POWER STEERING GEAR BOX IS NOT FUNCTIONING AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THERE IS A RECALL ON FORD EXPLORER'S FOR THE 2011-2013 MODELS FOR THE "POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT", WHICH DID COME ON AND THE POWER STEERING FAILED IN MY VEHICLE. I CONTACT FORD DIRECTLY AND THEY WERE OF NO HELP AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD EXPLORER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 25 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD AN ABNORMAL NOISE COMING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. UPON INSPECTION, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THERE WAS WATER WHERE THE SPARE TIRE WAS LOCATED. AS A RESULT, THERE WAS MOISTURE ON THE CARPET. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 57,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD EXPLORER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE DOOR AJAR WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE DOME LIGHT REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE DOOR WAS CLOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
DEFECTIVE THROTTLE BODY. VEHICLE UNEXPECTEDLY SHUTS OFF. THIS HAS HAPPENED WHILE TURNING IN FRONT OF ON COMING TRAFFIC LUCKILY THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO COAST TO THE SHOULDER. HAS ALSO HAPPENED ON THE FREEWAY AND IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION. IT HAS HAPPENED AT LEAST A DOZEN TIMES. ALL POWER TO VEHICLE IS LOST. FRONT PASSENGER SIDE SEATBELT WILL NOT EXTEND
WHEN ACCELERATING EXHAUST FUMES ENTER THE CABIN OF THE VEHICLE. THE SMELL IS WORSE IN THE BACKSEAT OF THE VEHICLE THAN THE FRONT. THIS EXPLAINS THE HEADACHES AND NAUSEA MY DAUGHTER EXPERIENCES ON OUR WAY TO CHILDRENS HOSPITAL IN PITTSBURGH! 😡 AND THE FRONT PASSENGERS HEADACHES. MY VEHICLE HAS 49,000 MILES ON IT. I'M FURIOUS AND OUTRAGED THAT FORD DOESN'T CARE TO FIX THIS, ESPECIALLY WITH ALL THE COMPLAINTS AND AWARENESS OF THE PROBLEM. IN SEPTEMBER 2014 THE DRIVER'S SIDE "A" PILLAR COVER/EXTERIOR WINDSHIELD MOLDING FLEW OFF OF MY 2013 EXPLORER. I WAS GOING APPROXIMATELY 55MPH ON A TWO LANE HIGHWAY. IT WAS REPLACED BY THE FORD DEALERSHIP AT NO COST BECAUSE WE HAD JUST PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. FAST FORWARD TO MAY 2016 AND THE PASSENGER SIDE "A" PILLAR COVER/EXTERIOR WINDSHIELD MOLDING BLEW OFF ON THE SAME TWO LANE HIGHWAY GOING APPROXIMATELY 55MPH. I AM CURRENTLY WORKING WITH THE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THIS REPAIRED OUT OF POCKET.

THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE GASKET NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 105,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY DOING 65 MPH AND MY DRIVER SIDE MOLDINGS/TRIM ON THE DRIVER SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD FLEW OFF, WHICH CAUSED THE TRUCK BEHIND ME TO HAVE TO SWERVE. HAD IT BEEN A SEDAN OR COMPACT CAR IT WOULD HAVE CAUSE ACCIDENT. LUCKILY IT DIDN'T IN THIS CASE. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THAT THIS IS COMMON AND IT A DEFECT IN THE DESIGN, THE MANUFACTURER IS AWARE AND THE NEW DESIGN KEEPS THE AIR FROM GETTING BEHIND THE MOLDING CAUSING IT TO COME OFF. IF THE MANUFACTURER IS AWARE, WHY HAS THERE NOT BEEN A RECALL AS THIS COULD HAVE CAUSE OR COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT.

FOR THE LAST TWO WEEKS THE "DOOR AJAR"LIGHT STAYS ON AFTER STARTING ENGINE AND CLOSING DOOR. DOOR IS PROPERLY CLOSED BUT INDICATOR ON DASH REMAINS ON. INTERIOR LIGHTS STAY ON. DOORS WILL NOT LOCK WHEN DRIVING. CHIME REMINDER DINGS, AND A MESSAGE TO PUT CAR IN PARK WILL APPEAR IN DISPLAY SCREEN. THIS ALL HAPPENS WHEN ATTEMPTING TO DRIVE. VERY DISTRACTING AND DANGEROUS. DON'T KNOW IF DOOR WILL STAY CLOSED IN EVENT OF ACCIDENT AND SITTING AT STOP LIGHTS IN CERTAIN AREAS WITH DOOR UNLOCKED IS NOT SAFE.
GETTING EXHAUST FUMES IN THE CABIN OF VEHICLE AT TIMES. SOMETIMES SO BAD THAT IT MAKES YOU SICK NAUSEOUS AND HEADACHES. FORD REFUSES TO FIX PROBLEM UNDER THERE WARRANTY. IT HAPPENS AT ANY TIME SLOW OR AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS WHEN USING THE AC OR HEATER IT IS EVEN WORSE.
