I PURCHASED MY FORD EXPLORER 2015 ON 5-26-16 THE VEHICLE STARTED HAVING A STRANGE ODOR COMING FROM THE AIR VENTS WHEN THE CAR WAS ACCELERATING. FORD HAD THE DEALERSHIP START CHECKING DIFFERENT THINGS ON THE CAR REPLACED PTU AND VENT HOSE AND INSTALLED UPDATE MUFFLER THE VEHICLE STILL HAS ODOR. NEXT FORD HAD THEM SEAL ALL SEAMS STILL SAME SMELL THIS WENT ON ALL SUMMER THE DEALERSHIP HAD MY VEHICLE ALL THE TIME THEN ON 8-30-2016 A FORD FIELD TECHNICIAN CAME TO THE DEALERSHIP SAID THE VEHICLE WAS FIXED AND CLOSED THE CASE WITH FORD. IT IS 11-9-16 VEHICLE IS STILL SMELLING I HAVE EMAILED THE PERSON I WAS IN CONTACT WITH AND SHE WON'T RESPOND
MY CAR WAS STRUCK FROM BEHIND - 65MPH AND THE SEAT BELT DID NOT TENSION AND CAUSED MY HEAD TO BOUNCE OFF THE STEERING WHEEL CAUSING A LARGE KNOT ON MY HEAD AND TAKEN AWAY BY AMBULANCE - NO AIR BAGS DEPLOYED (BUT THAT MAY BE DUE TO BEING STRUCK FROM BEHIND AND PUSHED INTO A VEHICLE IN FRONT) I WAS ROLLING 5 TO 10MPH AND SLOWING FOR TRAFFIC - HIT FROM BEHIND BY PICKUP - NO BRAKES APPLIED - FLEW FORWARD AND THE SEAT BELT TENSIONER RELEASED ALL THE BELT OUT AND STAYED THAT WAY - I WOULD THINK THAT I SHOULD HAVE BEEN STOPPED BY THE BELT AND BRUISED ACROSS THE CHEST - BUT ALL THE FORCE WAS TAKEN TO MY HEAD AND NECK OFF THE STEERING WHEEL AND WHIPLASHED BACK TO THE SEAT. THE EXHAUST FUMES, ARE REALLY BAD, NOW THAT I KNOW WHERE THE SMELL IS COMING FROM, AFTER READING SEVERAL OTHER OWNER EXPERIENCES. EXHAUST FUMES ARE ENTERING THE COMPARTMENT OF THE VEHICLE. I DIDN'T REALLY KNOW WHAT THE SMELL WAS AT FIRST. BUT WHEN I ACCELERATE ON THE ON RAMP TO THE EXPRESS WAY IS WHEN THE FUMES REALLY GET BAD, NOW I'M ROLL THE WINDOW DOWN FROM TIME TO TIME, WHEN I ON THE EXPRESS WAY AND DO NOT KNOW IF MY PASSENGER KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON. THE AREA OF ON RAMP AREA IS AN INDUSTRIAL CHEMICAL REFINERY, BUT AGAIN, NOW THAT I HAVE READ THE MANY EXPERIENCES OF OTHER OWNER, I HOPE THE FORD MOTOR COMPANY IS LOOKING TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM VERY SOON. GREAT VEHICLE, 2015 EXPLORER LIMITED WITH ONLY 15,000 MILES (RETIREMENT VEHICLE), I WANT TO BE A SAFE DRIVER AND KEEP MY LOVE ONE'S SAFE WHILE IN MY VEHICLE THAT I ONCE THOUGHT WAS SAFE TO BE IN. I CAN NOT AND WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS VEHICLE TO ANYONE, IF I'M ASKED ABOUT PURCHASING THIS VEHICLE FOR THEMSELVES. BEEN A FORD PURCHASER SINCE 1972 ?
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD EXPLORER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 75 MPH, THE CONTACT FELT AS IF HE WERE TO FAINT AND FELT AS IF HE WAS HYPERVENTILATING. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT HIS SYMPTOMS WERE DUE TO CARBON MONOXIDE. THE CONTACT HAD TO PULL OVER. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ABOUT THREE TIMES. THE CONTACT DID NOT SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
NOXIOUS SMELL COMING FROM VENTS WHILE GOING UP HILL. THIS IS AN ON GOING PROBLEM DEALER HAS HAD SEVERAL TRIES TO REPAIR.THERE ARE OTHER REPAIR ATTEMPTS THAT DEALER WOULD NOT PROVIDE PAPERWORK ON.
3.5L ECOBOOST, 24K MILES. UPON ATTEMPTED ACCELERATION, ENGINE DOES NOT PRODUCE FULL POWER. ENGINE LAGS SIGNIFICANTLY THEN SURGES IN BOTH RPM AND ACCELERATION. ISSUES HAS PERSISTED FOR APPROXIMATELY 3K MILES. ISSUE OCCURS DURING ALL ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAS NOT COME ON. NO CODES HAVE BEEN FOUND. VEHICLE HAS BEEN EXAMINED BY HUDSON FORD IN WISCONSIN. NO RESOLUTION PROVIDED, ISSUE CONTINUES TO EXHIBIT ITSELF.
APRIL 23 - BACKING OUT OF A PARKING SPACE A POWER STEERING FAULT MESSAGE FLASHED ON THE SCREEN, THERE WAS NO CHANGE IN THE STEERING OF THE VEHICLE AT THE TIME. APRIL 26 - SAME MESSAGE APPEARS WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE, WHEN BACKING INTO A PARKING SPOT THE STEERING COMPLETELY LOCKED UP, TWO OTHER MESSAGES APPEARED ON THE SCREEN AT THIS TIME. PICTURES ARE INCLUDED. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP THE FOLLOWING MORNING. THEY CONCLUDED THAT THE STEERING CONTROL MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED, AND THAT THE ISSUE WAS RESOLVED. PICKED THE VEHICLE UP ON MAY 2. JUNE 2 - THE SAME POWER STEERING FAULT MESSAGE SHOWED UP AGAIN WHILE DRIVING ON A NEIGHBORHOOD STREET. THE SAME MESSAGES AS BEFORE PLUS ONE MORE (TERRAIN MANAGEMENT FAILURE) APPEARED ON THE SCREEN WHEN TURNING LEFT ON A RURAL ROAD AND THE STEERING LOCKED COMPLETELY AGAIN. VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO THE DEALERSHIP THE FOLLOWING MORNING. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR 9 BUSINESS DAYS AT THIS TIME. NO PROGRESS HAS BEEN MADE. THEY SAY THE PROBLEM CAN NOT BE DUPLICATED, EVEN THOUGH THE VEHICLE DIAGNOSTIC AND PHOTOS OF THE MESSAGES WERE PROVIDED. THE DIAGNOSTIC STATED, "URGENT SERVICE REQUIRED." THE FORD HOTLINE IS UNWILLING TO MAKE ANY REPAIRS UNLESS THE PROBLEM CAN BE DUPLICATED WHILE IN THE DEALERSHIPS POSSESSION. MEANWHILE I AM CURRENTLY MAKING PAYMENTS ON THIS VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN MY POSSESSION FOR 9 MONTHS AND HAS 10,300 MILES ON IT. I WAS TOLD I HAVE A RENTAL FOR 1 WEEK, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THE PROBLEM IS RESOLVED OR NOT.
THERE IS AN EXHAUST SMELL BEING ADMITTED THROUGH MY A/C VENTS WHILE MY CAR IS TURNED ON AND BEING DRIVEN.
5/27/2016, WE UNKNOWINGLY PURCHASED OUR 2015 FORD EXPLORER. SINCE THEN WE HAVE EXPERIENCED A NUMBER OF ISSUES WITH THIS VEHICLE. THE FIRST MAJOR ISSUE IS EXHAUST FUMES, GASES ENTERING INTO THE CABIN OF THE VEHICLE WHILE DRIVING AND UPON ACCELERATION. SECOND, 8/25/17, THIS VEHICLE LOST ALL OF ITS FUNCTIONS (BRAKES,STEERING) WHILE I WAS OPERATING THE VEHICLE ON A BUSY STREET WITH MY CHILDREN IN THE CAR. I HAVE MADE THE DECISION THIS VEHICLE IS UNSAFE TO OPERATE AND IS AN ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN. I HAVE STOPPED PUTTING MY CHILDREN IN THE CAR BECAUSE OF THE FACT THAT IT IS MAKING US ILL AND I AM SCARED. WE HAVE EXPERIENCED HEADACHES, NAUSEA, LETHARGY, NOSE BLEEDS, STOMACH ISSUES FOR A PROLONGED PERIOD OF TIME. WE HAVE BEEN ILL MORE OFTEN THAN NOT. I FEEL THIS VEHICLE IS SILENTLY AND SLOWLY HURTING US. I AM SO FRIGHTENED OF WHAT IT HAS DONE TO US LONG TERM. IT'S ON A DAILY BASIS THAT WE EXPERIENCE THE STRONG FOUL ODOR AND SMELLS OF EXHAUST FUMES AND GASES ENTERING INTO THE CABIN. I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH HOW BADLY IT SMELLS OF EXHAUST. I DO NOT USE THE A/C OR HEATER BECAUSE I AM SO FEARFUL OF WHAT COULD HAPPEN TO MYSELF OR MY FAMILY WITH THE WINDOWS CLOSED. THIS IS ON A DAILY BASIS. 8/28/17, I CONTACTED FORD. I SPOKE WITH A REPRESENTATIVE IN CUSTOMER RELATIONS ABOUT EVERYTHING WE WERE EXPERIENCING WITH THE VEHICLE. THEN WAS TRANSFERRED TO A MANAGER WHO TOOK MY VIN# WHILE MAKING NOTATIONS. IN RETURN I WAS GIVEN A CLAIM # AND TOLD SHE COULD NOT PROVIDE ME WITH ANY INFORMATION ABOUT MY VEHICLE ONLY THAT THERE WAS AN INVESTIGATION BEING CONDUCTED AND, SHE WAS SORRY. TWO MONTHS LATER, I HAVE YET TO RECEIVE ANY INFORMATION FROM FORD. SADLY, I'VE HAD TO RESEARCH ON MY OWN AND FOUND ONLY A SERVICE BULLETIN, TSB 14-0130. AS A CONSUMER I AM RUNNING OUT OF OPTIONS. THE VEHICLE ITSELF IS PROOF. THE NEXT STEP SHOULD BE A RECALL, NOT ME HAVING TO OBTAIN AN ATTORNEY.
STRONG ODOR IN CABIN WHEN AC IS ON AND VEHICLE IS UNDER HARD ACCELERATION.
THERE IS A POPPING NOISE WHEN TURNING THE VEHICLE'S STEERING WHEEL FROM LEFT TO RIGHT WHILE PARKED OR MANEUVERING TO MAKE ADJUSTMENTS. ALSO, WHILE DRIVING AND TURNING LEFT, THE VEHICLE'S STEERING LOCKS AND I HAVE TO SNATCH THE STEERING WHEEL TO THE RIGHT IN ORDER TO GET THE VEHICLE TO GO STRAIGHT. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS AND I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER ON MAY 17TH AND THEY'RE IN THE PROCESS OF REPLACING THE STEERING GEAR OR WHAT THE SERVICE ADVISOR TOLD ME WAS KNOWN AS THE RACK AND PINION. MY VEHICLE HAS LESS THAN 30,000 MILES AND I HAVEN'T RUN INTO ANYTHING OR OVER ANYTHING TO CAUSE THIS PROBLEM. ACCORDING TO THE SERVICE ADVISOR THE MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY COVERS THE REPLACEMENT, HOWEVER, I'M STUCK WITH HAVING TO DRIVE A RENTAL AT MY EXPENSE BECAUSE OF A DEFECT FROM THE MANUFACTURER. I NOTICED THERE WERE OTHER OWNERS WHO HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE STEERING AND THEY EXPERIENCED FAILURE THAT LED TO THEIR WHEEL ASSEMBLY COMING OFF WHILE DRIVING. THIS IS CONCERNING BECAUSE ACCORDING TO FORD, I HAVE NO RECALLS SPECIFIC TO MY VIN NUMBER, BUT THIS PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE MORE WIDESPREAD AND FORD MOTOR CO. SHOULD BE PROACTIVE IN ADDRESSING THIS ISSUE BEFORE SOMEONE GETS KILLED.
MY VEHICLE ON HIGHWAY AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS GETS BAD ODORS FROM EXHAUST SYSTEM. I PLACED A CO DETECTOR IN THE VEHICLE AND IT HAS SHOWN HIGH SIGNS OF CARBON MONOXIDE AT LEAST 20 TIMES. I RETURNED VEHICLE SEVERAL TIMES TO THE DEALERSHIP, THEY SAID THEY MADE REPAIRS ACCORDING TO SOME BULLETIN THAT THEY WOULD NOT SHOW ME. THE PROBLEM STILL IS OCCURRING. DEALERSHIP TOLD ME TO CONTACT FORD CORPORATE AND THEY CANNOT HELP ME ANYMORE. FORD CORPORATE TOLD ME THEY DID EVERYTHING THEY CAN DO. THEY ALSO TOLD ME IF I KEEP BRINGING MY VEHICLE IN AND THEY CANNOT REPRODUCE THEY ODOR OR CO PROBLEM THEY WILL HAVE TO CHARGE ME FOR THEIR TIME. BECAUSE IT'S NOT A WARRANTY ISSUE. FORD KNOWS THEIR IS A PROBLEM IF THEY HAVE A BULLETIN ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. THEY HAVE TOTALLY TURNED THEIR BACK ON ME AND ARE WILLING TO RISK MY LIFE AND THE LIVES OF OTHERS. I RARELY DRIVE MY EXPENSIVE CAR ANYMORE AND ABSOLUTELY CAN'T ON THE HIGHWAY. THIS HAS BEEN ON GOING FOR OVER A YEAR NOW.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD EXPLORER. THE CONTACT NOTICED A MUSTY MOLD ODOR THAT PROGRESSED INTERNALLY DUE TO VARIOUS SEAMS AND SEALS THAT PREMATURELY FRACTURED AND CAUSED WATER INTRUSION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FIVE TIMES FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING, BUT THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO PREVENT THE FAILURE AFTER LEAKS NEAR THE SUN ROOF. THE FRONT SEALS AND THE REAR SEALS LEAKED WATER FROM VARIOUS LOCATIONS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER FOR A FIFTH TIME, BUT WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 13,000.
ROTTEN SMELL COMING FROM CAR EVERY TIME WE GET ON THE HIGHWAY AND THE A/C IS ON. TRIED TO TALK TO LOCAL FORD AND NATIONAL HOTLINE, ALL I GOT IS IT'S AN ISSUE AND WE ARE WORKING ON IT. THE FUMES ARE TOXIC FROM WHAT I'VE READ SO NOT A GOOD ANSWER TO GET ON A NEW CAR PURCHASE.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA ACTION NUMBER: EA17002 (STRUCTURE, ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). THE DEALER (AUTOMAX FORD, 3301 E CENTRAL TEXAS EXPY, KILLEEN, TX 76543, (254) 699-2629) WAS INFORMED THAT THE CONTACT HAD A CARBON MONOXIDE TESTER THAT DETECTED A HIGH LEVEL OF CARBON MONOXIDE. THE DEALER USED THEIR OWN TESTING DEVICE FOR CARBON MONOXIDE AND ALSO DETECTED A HIGH LEVEL. THE DEALER INDICATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER HAD NO REMEDY OR RECALL TO PROVIDE A PERMANENT SOLUTION UNLESS IT WAS FOR THE POLICE INTERCEPT VEHICLES. THE DEALER STATED THAT REPLACING THE BODY PLUGS IN THE REAR WOULD PROVIDE A REMEDY, BUT THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE CONTACT'S WIFE EXPERIENCED NAUSEA, HEADACHES, AND WAS UNABLE TO STAND FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME. THE CONTACT'S WIFE UNDERWENT MEDICAL TREATMENTS, WHICH CAUSED A LOSS OF EMPLOYMENT DUE TO HEALTH ISSUES GENERATED FROM THE FAILURE WITH THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS WAITING FOR A BUY BACK OFFER. THE VIN AND FAILURE MILEAGE WERE NOT AVAILABLE.
SINCE MAY 1, 2016, AT LEAST 6 DIFFERENT TIMES WHILE I WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE, THE CAR FELT AS IF SOMEONE SLAMMED ON THE BRAKES, THEN SLAMMED DOWN ON THE ACCELERATOR THROWING ME FORWARD AND THEN BACK IN MY SEAT. THE LAST TWO TIMES THIS OCCURED I HAD MY MINOR CHILDREN IN THE CAR AND THEY EXPERIENCED THE SAME THING. THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN TAKEN TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT THE DEALER TWICE AND RETURNED TO US TWICE WITH THEM SAYING THEY COULDNT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE. ON JULY 1, MY HUSBAND BROUGHT IT BACK TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AGAIN -THEY ASKED FOR OUR PERMISSION FOR ONE OF THEIR SERVICE TECHNICIANS TO DRIVE THE CAR FOR A FEW DAYS WHICH WE ALLOWED. AFTER HE DROVE IT FOR A FEW DAYS, HE EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEM I HAD WITH THE VEHICLE -STATING "THAT IF HE HADN'T HAD HIS SEATBELT ON, HE WOULD HAVE GONE THROUGH THE WINDSHIELD." THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT REPORTED THAT THEY COULD NOT FIGURE OUT WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS AND WHAT WAS CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO DO THIS. WE CONTACTED FORD MOTOR COMPANY TO TRY TO HELP US AND ON JULY 19 THEY TOLD US THAT THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT COULDN'T LOCATE WHERE THE PROBLEM WAS COMING FROM AND THEY WANT US TO TAKE OUR VEHICLE HOME. EVEN THOUGH THEIR OWN FORD MECHANIC / TECHNICIAN HAS EXPERIENCED THE PROBLEM HIMSELF. THEY WANT TO RETURN AN UNSAFE VEHICLE BACK TO US, THE CUSTOMER. WHEN MY HUSBAND ASKED THE SERVICE MANAGER, IF HE WOULD ALLOW HIS WIFE AND CHILDREN TO DRIVE IN THIS VEHICLE, HE REPLIED "NO." SO WHY WOULD FORD WANT TO RISK THE LIVES OF MYSELF AND MY FAMILY?
EXHAUST FUMES ARE ENTERING THE CABIN. THIS HAPPENS MOSTLY UNDER HEAVY ACCELERATION WITH THE AC RUNNING. RECENTLY THE EXHAUST FUMES WILL ENTER THE CABIN SITTING AT A STOP LIGHT IF THE WINDOWS ARE OPEN. THE DEALER HAS PERFORMED ALL FORD RECOMMENDATIONS INCLUDING SEALING OF BODY PANEL SEAMS AND REPLACING EXHAUST TIPS. EXHAUST FUMES IN THE CABIN CANNOT BE SAFE.
I HAVE BEEN SMELLING GAS INSIDE THE CABIN OF MY EXPLORER AND IT HAS MADE ME SICK ON SEVERAL OCCASSIONS IT WAS SO STRONG. IT IS STRONG WHEN PARKED AND IN MOTION.
EXHAUST FUMES IN THE COCKPIT. AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE (2ND OWNER) WE STARTED SMELLING EXHAUST SMELLS WHEN ACCELERATING ON TO THE INTERSTATE. THIS WOULD HAPPEN WITH MODERATE OR HIGHER ACCELERATION WITH 1 OR 2 OCCUPANTS OR MODERATE WITH FULL TANK OF GAS AND 4 OCCUPANTS AND LUGGAGE. DEALER PERFORMED TECHNICAL BULLETIN - NO FIX. DEALER THEN UPDATED COMPUTER SOFTWARE - NO FIX. DEALER THEN REPLACED ENTIRE EXHAUST SYSTEM - NO FIX. SERVICE MANAGER ADVISED HE WAS OUT OF OPTIONS AND I SHOULD CALL FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE AT 800-392-3673. FINALLY TALKED TO SAMANTHA WHO EVENTUALLY TOLD ME THERE WAS NOTHING FORD COULD DO BECAUSE THE NHTSA DID NOT CONSIDER THIS A SAFETY ISSUE.
UPON ACCELERATION, THE CAB FILLS WITH FUMES AND EXHAUST, BLOWING INTO THE VEHICLE FROM THE VENTS. THE FUMES DO NOT DISSIPATE FOR 4 MINUTES. THE PROBLEM REOCCURS EVERY TIME THE CAR IS ACCELERATED BEYOND 2000 RMS, WHETHER FROM A COMPLETE STOP, OR IN THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC.
CARBON MONOXIDE INSIDE CABIN, HAS BEEN IN TWO DEALERS 6-TIMES FOR REPAIRS, NOW THEY SAY THEY HAVE NO OTHER REPAIRS THEY CAN DO FROM FORD TO STOP IT?
WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH ON STRAIGHT ON MAJOR ARTERIAL STREET LOST POWER STEERING CONTROL. STEERING WHEEL IMMEDIATELY BECAME EXTREMELY STIFF AND I STRUGGLED TO PULL TO RIGHT HAND LANE AND WAS BARELY ABLE TO PULL OVER ONTO SIDE ROAD. THREE WARNING MESSAGES SHOWED UP ON DASH BOARD, "SERVICE ADVANCE TRAC", "STEERING ASSIST FAULT SERVICE REQUIRED" & CAR ICON WITH TRAC SWIRLS TRAILING CAR AND "OFF". PHOTOS ATTACHED. I'VE BEEN FEELING REALLY SICK AFTER I FINISH DRIVING AND THERE IS A DISTINCT ODER THAT FILLS THE CABIN. IT'S A SMELL OF ROTTEN EGGS OR SOME KIND OF PERM SMELL. I FEEL VERY NAUSEOUS AND DIZZY AFTER DRIVING! THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR AT LEAST A YEAR! ESPECIALLY WHEN I ACCELERATE THE SMELL IS PREVALENT.
WHEN ACCELERATING OR IN MOTION FOR A PERIOD OF TIME, THE CABIN GETS AN EXHAUST SMELL. WHEN TESTED FOR CARBON MONOXIDE, THERE WERE 26 PPM WITH THE WINDOWS UP AND THE A/C BLOWING. ON 1 OCCASION, 2 PASSENGERS IN THE BACK SEAT BECAME ILL. WHEN THY EXITED THE CAR, THEY FELT IMMEDIATELY BETTER. WE HAVE RETURNED THIS VEHICLE 3 TIMES TO THE DEALER WITHOUT SUCCESSFULLY FIXING THE ISSUE. THE VEHICLE MUST HAVE THE WINDOWS CRACKED AT ALL TIMES TO KEEP THE EXHAUST SMELL OUT.

2015 EXPLORER SPORT 3.5L V6 ECOBOOST, CAR SHUDDERS WHILE TRYING TO MAINTAIN HIGHWAY SPEEDS WHILE BARELY TOUCH THE GAS. ENGINE MISFIRES, HESITATES WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE QUICKLY. FORD NOR DEALER WILL DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT SAYING ITS "NORMAL". PURCHASED THE EXTENDED WARRANTY BUT STILL NO RESOLUTION. HAS BEEN ON GOING FOR ABOUT A YEAR. AT ONE POINT THE CAR WENT INTO "LIMP MODE" AND WOULD ONLY ALLOW ME TO DRIVE 20 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY WHILE THE RPMS' WHERE MAXED OUT. THANKFULLY I WAS CLOSE TO A DEALERSHIP TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT. SAID "PIPE HOSE CLAMP CAME LOSE". SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THIS ECOBOOST ENGINE. THERE HAVE BEEN LAWSUITES OVER IT. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES, HAD SEVERAL TECHS, SUPERVISORS DRIVE IT AND NOTHING.
I BOUGHT THE CAR IN SEPTEMBER OF 2015 AND NOTICED UPON HARD ACCELERATION SUCH AS ENTERING THE INTERSTATE OR PASSING A CAR THERE IS A SMELL OF EXHAUST THAT COMES INTO THE CABIN AREA AND IN ORDER TO RELIEVE THE SMELL THE WINDOWS NEED TO BE CRACKED A LITTLE BIT AND THIS ONLY HAPPENS UPON HARD ACCELERATION.I HAVE NOT HAD THIS EXPERIENCE WITH ANY OTHER VEHICLE. I HAVE ALSO HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE TRANSMISSION BUT THEY CANNOT SEEM TO FIGURE OUT WHEN ACCELERATING BETWEEN 20 AND 40 MILES PER HOUR YOU FEEL A SHIFT IN THE TRANSMISSION WHICH FOR A NEW VEHICLE IS A BIT ODD. AT 10,000 MILES I HAD TO HAVE A STABILIZER BAR IN THE FRONT AND REPLACED I NOTICE A LOT OF HEAVY CLUNKING AS I DROVE MY CAR AROUND AND THIS SEEMS TO BE THE PROBLEM. I I HAVE ALSO HAD ISSUES WITH THE HEADLINER COMING OUT ON THE DRIVER SIDE FRONT DOOR THIS IS BEEN PUSHED IN AND REPLACED 3 TIMES AND IT'S WORKING ON ITS FOURTH TIME. THE ISSUES WITH THE TRANSMISSION AND THE EXHAUST FUMES IN THE CAB AND HAVE YET TO BE RESOLVED.

IF I GAVE THEM MY VEHICLE THEY WANTED TO GIVE ME NOTHING FOR IT I WOULD BE BASICALLY GET LIKE A 5 GRAND DISCOUNT ON A NEW VEHICLE AND THEY GET MY VEHICLE. I WOULD LOSE EVERYTHING THAT I PAID ON MY VEHICLE BECAUSE OF A DEFECT THAT IS CAUSED BY THEM.
SINCE WE HAVE HAD OUR CAR 2016 YOU CAN ALWAYS SMELL A GAS LIKE ODOR TYPE FUMES. IF THE CAR IS DRIVEN FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME YOU GET A HEADACHE AND DIZZY. THE FORD DEALERSHIP SAID THAT THEY HAVE NO ISSUES WITH CARBON MONOXIDE IN THE FUMES. WE WOULD LIKE THIS LOOKED INTO FURTHER AS IT IS A CONCERN. AT FIRST, WE THOUGHT MAYBE YOU CAN JUST SMELL IT WHEN THE CAR IS FIRST WARMING UP, MAYBE ITS THE HEATED SEATS TRYING TO RULE EVERYTHING OUT. When I purchased this vehicle I noticed there was a fawl smell like rotten eggs or sulfer when you would push on gas. I mentioned it to the dealer they said they kneew about it and there was a recall to fix it. I brought it in a few times as each time they never seemed to be able to fix it. It made my whole family sick, headaches, nauseua, sleepy. I was scared to drive my family in my car. I looked up this incident to see if others had same issue and there were many across the board that all said the same thing and FORD would not do anything about this. I tried to trade my car in manytimes and have them do an exchange they did nothing. I am ready at this point to hire a lawyer and sue FORD for this. what else can be done
