The contact owns a 2020 Ford Explorer. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V342000 (Back Over Prevention) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted and confirmed the parts were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The contact stated that the camera became inoperable with the display screen going black. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was unknown. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
Warning that the cruise control function was not working. The the car would not go more the 5 miles an hour until it had switched out of 1st gear, it kept changing gears. I was scared to death of driving it. I had to use my emergency blinkers everytime I had to slow down and the try to regain speed. The transmission was making a clunk noise and the engine was reviving like crazy. I was afraid of being rear-ended or someone crashing into my car because I could not get out of the way. The car is at the dealership right now, they will not have time to look at it until after the holiday. I was 600 miles from home and terrified.
Code 102F: All wheel drive module malfunctioned due to lost communication/wiring with the module. The vehicle is in a compromised state and driving differently with AWD disabled. Problem was confirmed at Ford dealership and Ford refuses to provide coverage under the powertrain warranty, even though this is a powertrain issue.
The contact owns a 2020 Ford Explorer. The contact stated while his wife was driving at an undisclosed speed down a steep driveway, upon depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle failed to come to a complete stop. The driver was able to bring the vehicle to a complete stop by shifting into park. The hill stop control and ABS warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but was not yet diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 45,200.
In early 2023, I discovered micro-fractures in the side of the left headlamp assembly on my 2020 Ford Explorer ST. As the 3/36 warranty was still in effect, Ford replaced the defective headlamp. However, just a few months later, after the warranty had expired, I discovered much more severe micro-fractures in the right headlamp lens assembly. This time however, the micro-fractures are located in front of the light source, thus they are diffusing the light as it passes through the lens. There is also a fracture appearing at the lower inside corner of the assembly. The dealer attempted to get Ford to replace the second headlamp assembly, but Ford will not replace the $1800 part under warranty. The vehicle has never been in an accident and is garaged 90% of the time. Even now at over four years of ownership, the vehicle has just over 44,500 miles on the odometer. My personal belief is that there is a defect in the plastic that was used to manufacture the headlamp assembly, and as such, Ford needs to replace the defective part. I have included two pictures from the original discovery and then three pictures just taken today.
This is my third complaint regarding the same issue, driving on the freeway today the gas pedal was not responsive leading to a drop of speed almost getting hit from behind, don't know what to do, I'm getting nervous to use my car because the problem comes with no notice (see complaint [XXX], [XXX] and [XXX] ) hopefully I will not get in a serious accident before something is done. The contact owns a 2020 Ford Explorer. The contact stated while the brakes were being replaced, the mechanic noticed that the transmission had a leak and referred the contact to the dealer. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the contact was informed that there was a leak in the transmission oil cooler and that the transmission oil cooler needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that the warranty had expired and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 44,560.
Please find attached documents (including a Chat Script) related to an issue we are having with our 2020 Ford Explorer. Our vehicle has less than 10,000 miles on it and began having serious transmission issues to the point where it was unsafe to drive. The vehicle would completely stall out in the middle of an intersection or during acceleration at speed. On August 16, 2023, we made an appointment for Friday September 15, 2023, (earliest available appt) with a dealer to get the vehicle in. We parked the vehicle in our garage from 08-16-23 to 09-05-23 then took it to the dealer. On Wednesday, September 20th, 2023, the dealer notified me that the technicians found that the transmission fluid smells burnt, and they will be submitting their findings to Ford so they can find out how to proceed (either replace or repair). On Wednesday, September 20th, 2023, the dealer notified us that they got a response from Ford, and they are going to be replacing the entire transmission and they will be ordering it that day. We are still waiting for the new transmission to arrive and to get an estimate of how long the replacement will take. Now, I am not writing you to just complain about the amount of time we have been and continue to be without our vehicle, but rather to stress the fact that there is a HUGE issue with certain Ford transmissions that should be addressed through recalls not technical bulletins (as attached - TSB22-2428) as this is an extreme safety issue. I can tell you form experience that it is very scary when you start to accelerate from a red light and your vehicle completely stalls out and stops moving forward and the vehicles behind you have to slam on their brakes and swerve around you. It is also very scary when you try to accelerate at speed to change lanes etc., and the vehicle completely stalls out. This is why we parked our Explorer in our garage for over 2 weeks waiting for our scheduled appointment.
The contact owns a 2020 Ford Explorer. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the power train and several other warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 59,000.
Backup and 360 camera have not worked since shortly after purchasing this vehicle in Aug 2020. They state issue is intermittent. It is not, it is constant. It rarely works. This has not been fixed since original recall in Sept 2020. They continue to update the recall which seems to be an attempt to hide the true length of time this recall has been outstanding and unresolved which is 3 years. I have young children and no reliable backup camera increases the risk of accidental injury due to backing into a child. It increases risk of accident due to being unable to see surroundings. I have attempted to resolve the matter with the dealership and the manufacturer. I am never given a response other than a canned answer that there is no fix at this time. I have owned the vehicle for 3 years. It is unacceptable to have this be unresolved with no action or accountability from Ford. I hope to see this situation escalated and the issue thoroughly reviewed to include how Ford has handled this. They have repeatedly ignored customers requests for assistance and resolution. They've deleted comments on social media pointing out the continued issue and lack of assistance from Ford in an attempt to keep selling vehicles with these issues they can't seem to fix. I firmly believe the "reasonable" timeline to repair a safety recall has been beyond exhausted. If they can't fix it, they need to find an alternative for the impacted customers. In learning they knew of the issue in May 2020 and I was allowed to purchase in Aug 2020 with this defect, I feel as though they were not following the 2018 law requiring backup cameras in new vehicles. There are significant concerns with the integrity of this company and their lack of concern for maintaining vehicle safety.
Cars jerking while upshifting or downshifting at regular speed.
After starting vehicle it rolled when placed out of park while foot was on break and the emergency break was still engaged. There was no pressure and all warning lights associated with pre-collision, hill start, and antilock break fault were flashing across screen only while trying to stop and break from rolling. My safety and others was at risk by rolling into the street i could have been hit by oncoming cars or unable to stop from hitting anyone. My vehicle is maintained at dealer and is kept up on all service and recalls requirements. After vehicle was towed to dealer they were able to find the following TSB: https:// [XXX] Lives are not a technical service bulletin they are a RECALL. Shifting is hard shifting up and down
The contact owns a 2020 Ford Explorer. The contact stated that while reversing at an undisclosed speed, the back over prevention camera displayed a black screen. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the back over prevention camera needed to be replaced; however, the parts were not available. The contact stated that she had received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V342000 (Back Over Prevention) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact later received a notification that referenced a temporary fix; however, when the vehicle was taken to the dealer, the contact was informed that there was no temporary fix available. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
The contact owns a 2020 Ford Explorer. The contact stated that she became aware that the rear passenger’s side head rest was fractured several months ago. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was determined that the head rest needed to be replaced; however, the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 35,000.
The 2020 ford Explorer eco boost limited that we have has had many issues that we are concerned about. Our number one concern is when we accelerate on the freeway to get up to speed we have a rotten eggs/ perm smell. We have taken this into the ford service department and they were able to recreate the smell and had the ford master mechanics look at it. The smell is a sigh of a catalytic converter going out according to other mechanics on other vehicles. They have gave us the excuse that it is the way the vehicle smells when you accelerate. It is a strong odor that makes the passengers in the vehicle verbally ask what is throat smell. My specialty in my career has brought up the question that I don’t know the smell and is it harmful. What could the long term effects have on me and or my family and kids. It’s a very displeasing smell and to hear the ford dealership tell us that it’s just the way the vehicle smells is a little frustrating knowing that we bought a vehicle that may have an issue and is not performing the way it is designed to. Also we have had issues with the electronics in the vehicle where the passenger mirror continues to extend beyond the set position. If you are not paying attention and look to use your mirror while driving you will not be able to see where the mirror is designed to show. Ford after a while of back and forth not wanting to fix it finally fixed it he issue by replacing a new mirror. We have had connection issues from the main computer and our tailgate will randomly open while getting our kids in the car. It has not done it while driving yet but we expect it to. We have taken it in for those reasons but they have not been able to fix it.
I’m having to replace the driver’s seat mounting/frame (underneath the seat) for a second time since I’ve had this vehicle. It happened last year as well.
The adhesive to the sunroof headliner has failed causing the headliner to sag. The sunroof is almost the size of the entire top of my vehicle, which concerns me because I have two young children in the back and if this falls down on them while I’m driving or even on myself while I’m driving this would be dangerous. This issue is not specific to me. At my dealership there are actually a couple of escapes and explorers going through the same thing. The cost to repair is 6 hours of labor so about $1200. I don’t believe the consumer should pay when this poses a safety risk and also seems like a manufacturing defect. Another thing is that my sunroof will still open but it crunched up the headliner, and if i don’t stop it from opening in time then my sunroof will jam and I will have an open top.
Fuel gauge on electronic instrument panel shows empty at all times. Driver can run out of gas without warning. Vehicle OBDC shows fuel sensor fault, local dealer claims a faulty instrument cluster with very costly repair. No warnings before this happened. Just Fuel light coming on, check engine light coming on and fuel level showing Zero.
Faulty exhaust downpipe. Vehicle made loud rattling by catalytic converter, upon investigation the downpipe exhaust hanger rod had broke off due to vibrations in the flex pipe. Ford has an issue with the flex pipe in which it is to weak and will shake the downpipe during idle or acceleration. Ford had issued a factory fix for the downpipe; however, it doesn't fully fix the flex pipe vibration issue. My flex pipe shake so violently that it broke the metal exhaust hanger rod by the catalytic converter. Without the hanger support further shake could result in cracking along the exhaust/catalytic converter. This could result to exhaust fumes being ventilated into the passage side of the car. This could result in carbon monoxide poisoning. As a pilot, they always teach us to check the exhaust for cracks and teach awareness due to the exhaust being near the cabin. Fords fix is to place a hose clamp which doesn't work. Multiple explorer forums have reported this issue. Fords solution to it is to replace it with the same part. Not sure how that will fix the issue if your replacing a defective designed part with another defective design part. I have attached photos of the snapped hanger and hanger location.
While driving the rpm needle dropped under 1 and would not accelerate. And while slowing down the car jerks. The wretch light showed up. The codes was read at a service center that it was powertrain control specifically the transmission temperature gauge and pulley system. Currently being diagnosed at the dealership.
There have been a few times when the gas pedal (accelerator) isn’t responsive. I have pressed the accelerator to the floor a few times and there has been a long delay in response from the engine and when it did respond it was at a lower rpm then expected when the pedal is to the floor. It has occurred when the vehicle is at a stop and the accelerator is pressed to hard. This has occurred multiple times.
The trim between the rear passenger side and the non-moving window flew off on the freeway 3 weeks ago. I had an appt at the dealership for an oil change and was told “yeah, it can happen.” I opted not to have them reschedule me to fit me in for a fix and I’m glad I didn’t because the driver’s side trim in the same window location came off while driving over the Golden Gate Bridge. There were pedestrians all over and it could have hit someone. Both window trims in three weeks, one on a freeway and another on a highly-populated pedestrian/vehicle bridge. These pieces appear to be metal.
1. My 2020 Explorer has about 75,000 miles. 2. The car rolled back while in park during the week of 7/24, and the emergency brake stopped the car from rolling. 3. I called Ford Customer Care and my local dealer to see if my model was included in the current transmission recall (23v06900), it is not. 4. On 7/28/23, the car would not go into park. The emergency brake kicked in. The screen shows a message that says "Park not available apply brake before exiting". 5. Car is currently at the dealership in need of a new transmission. Vehicle still will not go into "park". Car remains in place due to the emergency brake, only.
Essentially, my Ford 2020 Explorer is having the same issues as the other 2020 Explorers on a recall list . My Ford rolled back, and it hit my husband's car when it slipped out of park. It also is no longer going into park without giving me a weird error message. It is currently at Five Star Ford in Stone Mountain, GA awaiting repair. My car will not go into park. The transmission failed.
Back up camera stays on after selecting Drive and moving forward, it will either stay on showing what’s happening behind me or will stay on for 20-40 seconds than go to a blue screen or blue than black screen and stay in that screen. While this is happening I have no control over the display, sound, radio or heat. There has been time the back up camera has stayed on while in park. I have several pictures and videos of these incidents. In the incidents I was able to reboot my display it would be unresponsive and not update time these issues only happened when the back up camera would not properly shut off
The contact owns a 2020 Ford Explorer. The contact stated that after parking the vehicle, upon releasing the brake pedal, the vehicle started to roll backwards. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that upon depressing the brake pedal a second time, the vehicle stopped. The contact stated that the failure had been recurring while parking the vehicle. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V675000 (Power Train); however, the VIN was not included. Additionally, the contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) steered the vehicle towards traffic. The contact stated that he was able to steer the vehicle back into the lane; however, the steering wheel was very resistant. The contact stated that the failure had occurred twice while driving. The dealer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the manufacturer, who then referred the contact to the NHTSA hotline for assistance. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.
Previously filed reports 11521566 and 11494044, stating problem with no response from the accelerator pedal, it happened several times again, at different speeds and different driving modes, should I wait to be involved in an accident to sue the company directly or what other recourse do I have? Have taken the car different times and mentioned the problem but they say "we found nothing wrong" the car is out of warranty now and have seen reports of transmission problems that should have caused a recall.
Summer 2023 OTA update to Ford Sync caused Sync system to malfunction. As a result touch screen controls are a black screen. No radio , no rear climate control, no backup camera , no 911 crash assist, no voice activated features, no forward collision warning system. Waiting for service appointment at local ford dealer.
On July 16th, 2023, while driving from Ohio to Indiana, my vehicle would not accelerate properly, and the power train malfunction warning illuminated on my dashboard. (The vehicle is available for inspection upon request.) My entire family's safety was put at risk as we were all in the vehicle at the time of the incident. We were on the toll road where other commuters were driving and were unable to accelerate as normal and other commuters were forced to go around us until the vehicle reached appropriate speed. Upon our arrival home the vehicle was taken to Ford for repair. Ford stated there was a recall for this issue and they programmed a software update which engages the parking break when the vehicle is placed in park and the warning light was no longer illuminated. I purchased the vehicle in December of 2021 and was not made aware of the recall in April of 2022. Prior to this incident my vehicle has showed no open safety recalls when entering the VIN online or checking the Ford Pass app. My vehicle has also never automatically engaged the parking break until after the service repair in July of 2023. Since there have not been any open safety recalls and my vehicle has never previously automatically engaged the parking break my belief is that the issue was marked as repaired without actually being repaired. The vehicle has been in for service for a separate issue at least 10 times prior to this incident and this "recall" was never brought to my attention or fixed at any of these service appointments.
Hard downshifting while coming to a stop - dealership is saying a complete transmission replacement on a 2020
The contact owns a 2020 Ford Explorer. The contact stated while driving approximately 65 MPH, the vehicle was making an abnormal screeching sound underneath the floorboards. The contact stated while slowing down the vehicle stalled. The contact stated there was no warning light illuminated, and the vehicle could to be restarted. The contact had the vehicle towed to a local dealer who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the transmission had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure reoccurred two more times. The contact stated that the last failure of the transmission had occurred several weeks ago. The vehicle was taken to the same dealer. The vehicle was diagnosed, and determined that the transmission had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 147,000.
When the car starts all warning lights come on. Hill start assistance, pre collision assistance, all assistance. There is no cruise, no safety collision assistance at all. First appeared on June 13 2023. Ford Dealer is currently trying to fix the problem. They are unsure why it’s doing it. It puts all occupants life at risks as the car doesn’t have any safety assistance.
The Radio would not keep stations and eventually was almost always static. I took it to the Ford dealership that I purchased from since it is supposed to have a full warranty. They are now saying that it has water leaking in from the roof and it has damaged the OEM (?) system. They don't know if Ford will cover under warranty so I now sit with no vehicle as they wait for a decision. When and if it gets repaired I will now have to worry about other damage that will be caused by a leaking roof vehicle.
Upon starting and before driving (still parked) steering column started making vibrating, creaking, cracking, screeching noises when adjusting to proper driving position and seems to be beginning to fail. This is worse when the vehicle has been heated by hot summer temps. I have video with audio too. I've attached Ford's TSB 22-2144 and the NHTSA ID# 10210476
Car hesitates on acceleration; almost hit by oncoming traffic. Dealer reports a broken axle on 4 wheel drive assembly. Apparently there is an open investigation on this?
Driving 55 mph in a costuction zone lost power and 2020 explorer stated bucking violently with no place to pullover. Power came back and took to dealer. Drove it while waiting for parts when the tansmission went completely out. This happened on June 21 2023. Only 19500 miles. They replaced the trasmission.
The contact owns a 2020 Ford Explorer. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle and shifting into gear, the rear end of the vehicle made abnormal clicking sounds. The contact stated that the vehicle made abnormal clicking and popping sounds while driving from a complete stop. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle hesitated to respond while accelerating. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V255000 (Power Train); however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was test-driven, and it was confirmed that the failure persisted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the records indicated that the recall repair was not completed. The failure mileage was approximately 67,473.
For months our backup camera would turn blue and not show the rear cameras. Also during this time, on occasion the emergency braking would stop us from backing up and then the brakes would not work. We had a recall on the blue screen software but the breaking has started again.
Good Afternoon, the problem that I have encountered for is is that the rear camera does not work all the time a blue screen appears and I am not able to see what is behind me and that can cause me to have an accident. I do not feel safe
Vehicle caught on fire while in operation. Smoke and flames noted under the hood behind glove box.
The camera system does not work and disables the reverse braking and other safety features while reversing. This is a safety concern as while backing up to a trailer I have hit it 2 times, as the image will freeze and seems as if there is still room to continue backing up. I have taken this 4 times for recalls (since 2020) and none of them resolved it.
17 recalls, multiple recalls for the same thing with the rear view camera Currently have another recall on the rear view camera with no exact date on when remedy will be available. Sounds like a qualifying lemon to me.
The contact owns a 2020 Ford Explorer. The contact stated that while attempting to start the vehicle, several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that after inspecting the vehicle, the contact became aware that rodents had eaten through the wiring harness. In addition, the contact stated several of the safety features in the vehicle were inoperable. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was confirmed that rodents had eaten through the wiring harness. The contact was informed that the wiring harness needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that it was the second time that the failure had occurred due to the rodents. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 15,000.
The contact owns a 2020 Ford Explorer. The contact stated while driving 70 MPH, the trim on passenger’s side windshield had detached from the windshield. The contact stated that the trim on the driver’s side windshield had also detached. The vehicle was diagnosed. The dealer was contacted and stated that the vehicle was out of warranty. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that the vehicle was out of warranty and provided no assistance. The failure mileage was 40,000.
The contact owns a 2020 Ford Explorer. The contact stated while driving approximately 65 MPH, the vehicle hesitated and started losing motive power. The contact was able to drive the vehicle to the residence. During a test drive, the vehicle stalled. The contact stated that the "WRENCH" symbol was illuminated. The contact stated that the engine was still running however, the vehicle failed to shift to park(P) or drive(D). The contact had the vehicle towed to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that metal shards were found in the transmission and that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 79,000.
Child Safety Lock - rear right door Regardless of position of safety lock - door is not fully operational. Generally does not open from the inside, however one out of ten times estimated door will open. No way to turn child safety lock on to secure. Had independent inspector and retail location look at vehicle. They recommended replacing the latch. Further research shows that Ford Broncos from 2020 to 2022 have similar issue with same door (right, rear). Would like investigated to ensure not impacting other vehicles being the issue year and manufacturer are the same.
On multiple occassions while driving, the accelerator/gas pedal looses functionality. For example, while coasting into a turn and needing to accelerate, the engine is completely unresponsive. The pedal can be against the floor and the vehicle does not respond. We have brought the issue to two Ford dealer's attention during routine maintenance and have been told that there are no stored codes in the system and that bad gas is the culprit as they were unable to replciate the issue during their brief test drives. Each time this has occured it has been with different (top tier) gas. One one occasion, I found that fully releasing the accelerator for several seconds then pressing it down it can engage. On a second occasion, I shifted to neutral and then back to drive for it to engage. On a third occasion, I shifted the drive mode to engage the accelerator. This issues seems to be a major safety issue that should have a better response than "bad gas." Especially when crossing an intersection with children in the car.
1. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The issue pertains to a water leak in the rear liftgate area and/or water accumulation in the spare tire area, potentially accompanied by a lack of audio functionality in my 2020 Ford Explore ST as outlined in TSB 24-2044 (NHTSA ID: 102514). The affected component is the rear liftgate structure and associated seals, which allow water ingress, particularly noticeable after car washes or rainfall. The entire sound system to include any collision and impact warnings have failed to chime. 2. The water leak in the rear liftgate and spare tire area poses potential safety risks. Accumulated water can damage electrical components, such as wiring or audio systems, which may lead to malfunctions in critical vehicle systems. For example, water ingress could affect rear lighting, sensors, or other electronic modules, potentially compromising visibility or functionality during operation. Additionally, water accumulation may contribute to corrosion or mold growth, posing long-term structural or health risks for occupants. These issues could reduce vehicle reliability and increase the risk of accidents, especially in adverse weather conditions. 3.The issue has been acknowledged by Ford in TSB 24-2044, which provides a service procedure to identify and address the leak path. The Bill Currie Ford dealership in Tampa, FL has inspected my vehicle on several occasions, recently July 15, 2025 and confirmed water leakage in the rear liftgate area consistent with TSB 24-2044.The dealer will not repair unless I pay over $2200 for the repair, which I refuse for a manufacture defect. 4. To date, the vehicle has not been inspected by the police or insurance representatives, but the issue align with the TSB report. 5. Water observed in the spare tire & tailgate area every time since purchase. A loss of audio back in July 2023 and numerous occasions since complete failure as of January 3 2024
2020 Ford Explorer ST (FAILED 5/27/2023) Vehicle started shifting erratically, down shifting very hard when decelerating. Then within two to three days it would not engage in drive or reverse at all, or it was slow to engage and would engage very forcefully and intermittently. There were no warning lights that I recall. The vehicle could not be controlled and is undrivable with 37,386 miles on it. Currently the vehicle is sitting at the dealership waiting two to three weeks to diagnose the problem. The Service Advisor described the problem as "The vehicle delayed getting into gear when put into drive, not shifting properly when driving. When vehicle in reverse there is an extended time to engage and does not feel like it's engaged all the way, feels like it's grinding" Ford acts like they have no idea that they have a transmission issue with the 2020 10 speed automatic transmission. The dealership is going to have my explorer for 30 to 60 days with no compensation, loaner car or rental car. this is the second Explorer that we have had with major issues. I also have a 2020 Ford F-150 with the same mileage and the same transmission that is experiencing delayed shifting issues.
