PARKING BRAKE CABLE BROKE IN TWO. SEEKING NHTSA HELP OR PROVIDE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS MATTER. *AK
THE FACTORY INSTALLED A TAPE DECK THAT BEGAN TO SMOKE. THE DEALER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED. *AK
THE OIL PAN IS RUSTING THROUGH, AND REQUIRES REPLACEMENT. BY CALLING THE DEALERSHIP, ANOTHER REPAIR FACILITY, AND THROUGH ANNECDOTAL EVIDENCE, I HAVE LEARNED OF 13 OTHER 93-94 F150 TRUCKS (AS WELL AS SOME VANS OF THOSE MODEL YEARS) THAT HAVE HAD THEIR OIL PANS REPLACED THIS YEAR ALONE. I HAVE NEVER HAD AN OIL PAN RUST OUT BEFORE, SO THE EVIDENCE AT HAND LEADS ME TO BELIEVE THAT THERE IS AN OVERALL MANUFACTURING DEFECT. SAFETY ISSUE: I COULD LOOSE ALL OF MY OIL WITHOUT WARNING (THE RUSTY AREA IS BRITTLE & OOZING OIL), AND THE ENGINE COULD BE DESTROYED. *AK
WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH CONSUMER NOTICED FLUID LEAKING FROM UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE. CONSUMER WAS ABLE TO MAINTAIN CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, AND DROVE IT TO A BODY SHOP. MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THE FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR AND CHECK VALVES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED DUE TO EXCESSIVE FUEL IN ONE TANK. THIS INFORMATION WAS PROVIDED BY JULIAN TORRES SON JESSE TORRES.*AK THE CONSUMER FILLED BOTH THE FRONT AND BACK FUEL TANK WITH GASOLINE. THE VEHICLE WAS 60 MILES AWAY WHEN THE CONSUMER NOTICED THE FUEL GAUGE GOING DOWN FASTER THAN NORMAL.THE CONSUMER. WHEN THE CONSUMER REACHED HIS DESTINATION HE NOTICED THE FUEL LOST AMOUNTED TO 9 TO 13 GALLONS. HE STEPPED OUT OF THE VEHICLE AND NOTICED FUEL RUNNING DOWN THE FENDER TOWARDS THE GROUND. FUEL WAS LEAKING FROM THE FRONT FUEL TANK FROM AROUND THE GAS CAP.
HAVING A PROBLEM WITH THE GAS GAUGE READINGS. CONTACTED DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT THE CROSS TANK FUEL FLOW PROBLEM DUE TO A DAMAGED CHECK VALVE IN THE FUEL PUMP ASEMBLY. THE FUEL IS BEING PUMPED TO THE ENGINE. INSTEAD OF RETURNING TO REAR TANK, IT IS GOING INTO FRONT TANK, CAUSES A FUEL SPILLAGE. *AK
THIS PROBLEM WAS CAUSE FOR A RECALL FROM 1990 THROUGH 1993, THIS RECALL (#93S68) WAS PUT OUT IN SEPT. OF 1993. MY TRUCK WAS BUILT IN SEPT. OF 1993, IT'S LISTED AS A 1994 MODEL THUS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL BY FORD. THIS IS THE SAME PROBLEM, FUEL SPILLAGE FROM OVER FILLED TANK DUE TO A DAMAGED CHECK VALVE IN THE FUEL PUMP/SENDER ASSEMBLY. THE DANGER IS NO LESS THAN IT WAS ONE MONTH PRIOR FOR TRUCKS WITH THIS PROMBLEM WHICH WERE UNDER RECALL. I HAVE CALLED 3 FORD DEALERS IN MY AREA NONE WERE WILLING TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR REPAIRS. I CALLED FORD CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE CENTER AND WAS TOLD THAT FORD WOULD NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY BECAUSE MY TRUCK WAS NOT PART OF THE RECALL. I THEN ASKED TO SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR AND WAS TOLD THAT IT WOULD DO NO GOOD BECAUSE THAT WAS FORDS POLICY AND IT DIDN'T MATTER WHO I SPOKE TO. I WILL BE WRITTING TO FORD PRESENTLY TO INFORM THEM IN WRITTING AT LEAST FOR THE RECORD.
INSIDE DOOR HANDLES BROKE DUE TO TO INSIDE CABLE JAMING ,MUST PUT WINDOW DOWN TO OPEN DOOR. *AK
WHILE VEHICLE WAS PARKED CONSUMER WAS ALREADY INSIDE OF VEHICLE WHEN HIS BROTHER GOT INSIDE AND CLOSED THE DOOR, THE DRIVER AIR BAG DEPLOYED WITHOUT A REASON. *AK
DROVE TO WORK NO PROBLEMS. GOT OFF FROM WORK STARTED TRUCK NOTICED OVERDRIVE LIGHT ON. CHECKED ALL FUSES NONE BLOWN SMELLED FUNNY SMELL WHEN ENTERING VEHICLE. TOOK TO TRANSMISSION SHOP NEXT DAY TO HAVE CHECKED WAS OK. TOOK TO EFIRD FORD IN ASHDOWN, ARK PHONE# 870-898-3346 MECHANIC TRACED PROBLEM TO WIRING HARNESS UNDER HOOD AND DASH, 2 - 4 CONNECTORS HAD SHORTED OUT. HE TOLD ME THAT I HAD BEEN VERY LUCKY THAT TRUCK HAD NOT CAUGHT ON FIRE WHILE DRIVING DOWN ROAD. CHECKED INTERNET FOUND A NHTSA BULLETIN ON THE HARNESS THE BULLETIN NUMBER IS 95-5-21 NHTSA ITEM NUMBER : SB039890 STATING UNDERHOOD WIRE HARNESS MAY BECOME CHAFED. THERE WAS NO CHAFING OF WIRES. A PORTION OF UNUSED FUEL FROM ONE TANK IS BEING SENT TO THE SECOND TANK, RESULTING IN FUEL LEAKAGE. THE DEALER HAS REPAIRED VEHICLE. A RECALL HAS BEEN ISSUED ON SIMILAR MAKES AND MODELS. HOWEVER ,THIS VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL DUE TO VIN. *AK
BRAKES MAKES A LOUD NOISE WHEN APPLIED AND CAR VEERS TO THE LEFT. ALSO THE VEHICLE POPS OUT GEAR WHEN DRIVER IS SHIFTING GERAS. *AK
FIRESTONE ATX TIRE (P235 75 R15) EXPERIENCED TREAD SEPARATION ALSO CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE. *SLC
CRUISE CONTROL REDUNDANT DISABLED SWITCH HAD DEVELOPED A LEAK, SHORTED OUT & CAUGHTON FIRE. ALSO, BRAKE RESERVOIR WHICH WAS MADE OF PLASTIC BURNED OUT MASTER CYLINDER, WHICH IS LOCATED ON TOP. WILL BE TAKING TO DEALER TO CHECK IT OUT & CORRECT PROBLEM, IF POSSIBLE. *AK
COSNUMER'S VEHICLE EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM AS STATED IN NHTSA RECALL 01I008000 FOR 1993, FORD F150 CONCERNING FUEL CROSS FLOW. BUT CONSUMER HAS A 1994, F150.*AK *SLC
TOOK VEHICLE IN FOR A NORMAL OIL CHANGE WAS TOLD BY THE MECHANIC OIL PAN NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. PAINT FALLING OFF OF OIL PAN, MAKING IT RUST FROM THE OUTSIDE IN. SMALL PIN HOLE IN PAN, CAUSING IT TO LEAK. *AK *ML
REAR LEAF SPRING CRACKED IN HALF, SEPARATED AND SPREAD OUT. CAUSE UNKNOWN. *AK *ML
FRONT LEFT CROSS FRAME (A FRAME) WAS CRACKING FROM THE WELD TOWARD TOP OF VEHICLE, CRACK WAS APPROXIMATELY 3-4 INCHES LONG. ALSO, CAUSED A POPPING NOISE WHEN LEFT TURNS WERE MADE. DEALER NOTIFIED AND WELDED THE CRACKED AREA. *AK
CRUISE CONTROL DOESN'T ACTIVATE. NO ACTIVATION LIGHT WHEN ON SWITCH DEPRESSED. ALREADY HAD TO CHANGE OUT THE CLOCKING MECHANISM, COST $300.00+. NOW GET AN INTERMITTENT AIRBAG LIGHT, HORN IS SPORADIC. ALSO ON 3RD TRANSMISSION DUE TO THAT DEFECTIVE EFOD TRANSMISSION. HAVEN'T TOWED ANYTHING. PIECE OF CRAP. I'LL NEVER BUY ANOTHER FORD.*AK
PE00020; ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT, 1994, FORD F150, TIRE SIZEP26575R15. PASSENGER'S REAR TREAD CAME OFF WHICH MAY HAVE CAUSED A CRASH. CONSUMER REPLACED ALL FOUR TIRES WITH A SET OF NEW WILDERNESS AT WHICH BOTH OF REAR TIRES WERE FORMING CRACKS ALONG TREAD AND SIDEWALL. IT LOOKED LIKE RECAP TIRES. *AK
1994 FORD F-150 TRUCK. HORN NOT WORKING,TOOK TO DEALER, THEY SAID IT WAS THE CLOCK SPRING. THIS ALSO CONTROLS THE AIRBAG, I THINK FORD SHOULD RECALL THIS SAFETY MALFUNCTION. TS

THE DRIVER SEATBACK BROKE OFF BECAUSE THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH WELDS OR HINGES WHICH MAY HAVE CAUSED A LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. *AK
DT: THE CALLER S HAD THE MASTER CYLINDER REPLACED BECAUSE OF THE CRUISE CONTROL. THIS HAPPENED FIVE YEARS AGO, AND HE DID NOT KNOW ABOUT THE PROBLEM WITH FIRES. HE TRIED TO DEACTIVATE THE SWITCH , BUT THE CYLINDER WAS STILL LEAKING. HE REPLACED THE MASTER CYLINDER TO STOP THE LEAKING. HE SAID HE DID NOT HAD CRUISE CONTROL SINCE. HE RECEIVED A RECALL CONCERNING CRUISE CONTROL A FEW DAYS AGO. THE MANUFACTURER SAID IF HE PUT THE VEHICLE BACK THE WAY IT WAS ,THEY WILL FIX THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER SAID THEY WOULD ONLY REPLACE THE CRUISE CONTROL DEACTIVATION SWITCH. *AK
AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT IS ON DUE TO A LOOSE SPRING IN THE STEERING WHEEL. THIS COULD CAUSE A MALFUNCTION IN THE DEPLOYMENT OF THE AIRBAG. DEALER HAS TO REPLACE SPRING. *AK
WHEN PUTTING GAS INTO ONE TANK, GAS WILL RETURN BACK INTO THE OTHER TANK, AND THERE WON'T BE GAS FIRST TANK. *AK
DEFECTIVE CLOCK SPRING MALFUNCTIONED WHICH CAUSED THE AIRBAG LIGHT TO STAY ON, INDICATING THERE IS A PROBLEM WITHIN THE AIRBAG SYSTEM. IT WON'T PROTECT THE OCCUPANT IN EVENT OF A CRASH. *AKTHE CONSUMER BELIEVES THE AIRBAG SHOULD BE SERVICES AT NO COST SINCE THEY ARE SAFTEY RELATED. *SB
THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED AND CAUGHT ON FIRE WHICH STARTED IN THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE AND MADE ITS WAY TO THE BACK. MANUFACTURER HAS NOT BEEN CONTACTED. NO ONE HAS INSPECTED VEHICLE AT THIS TIME. PREVIOUSLY, OCCUPANT HAS BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE IGNITION. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. *AK
WHILE DRIVING, CONSUMER HEARD A THUMPING NOISE, VEHICLE BEGAN TO PULL HARD TO THE RIGHT, CONSUMER LOST CONTROL AND RAN INTO A TELEPHONE POLE TOTALLING VEHICLE, CONSUMER SUSTAINED INJURIES, THE DRIVER OF THE VEHICLE HAS SINCE PASSED AWAY AND HIS WIFE IS WRITING IN STATING THAT NOW SINCE SHE'S RECEIVED INFORMATION REGARDING FIRESTONE RECALL 00T005, SHE BELIEVES A BLOWOUT OF A FIRESTONE TIRE IS WHAT CAUSED THE ACCIDENT. *SLC
STEERING BOX FAILURE CAUSES THE STEERING TO STICK WHILE TURNING. *ET MJS
RETRACT SPRING OF THE SEAT BELT HAS FAILED AND THE BELT IS COMPLETLY EXTENDED, OFFERING NO PROTECTION. THE BELT IS UNUSABLE IN THIS CONDITION.
WHILE THE TRUCK WAS SITTING IN A PARKING GARAGE FOR OVER 5 HOURS, IT CAUGHT ON FIRE IN WIRING, UNDER DASH AND BURNED. THE TRUCK WAS TOTALLED. THE TRUCK HAD BEEN WORKED ON 10 DAYS PRIOR TO IT BURNING, BY AUTO NATION USA. *AK
WHILE THE TRUCK WAS SITTING IN A PARKING GARAGE FOR OVER 5 HOURS IT CAUGHT ON FIRE IN THE WIRING, UNDER DASH AND BURN OUT. THE TRUCK WAS TOTALLED. *AK
POSSSIBLE CORRODED TERMINAL PIN IN TERMINAL BLOCK CAUSING THE DRIVERSIDE AIR BAG TO BE INOPERABLE AND ALSO CAUSING THE HORN TO BE UNOPERABLE
CONSUMER NOTICED AIR BAG WARNING LIGHTS BLINKING, WHEN HE TRIED TO BLOW THE HORN THE COMMUNICATIION WAS GONE. CONSUMER TOOK VEHICLE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THAT A CLOCK SPRING WAS BROKEN, AND IS CAUSING THE AIR BAG LIGHT TO BLINK AND THE HORN NOT TO WORK. *AK
THE PROBLEM JUST CROPPED UP WITHOUT ANY UNUSAL TRAFFIC OR ROAD CONDITIONS. I NOTICED THAT THERE WAS A GRINDING SOUND COMING FROM MY FRONT SUSPENSION AREA. MY MECHANIC LOOKED FOR A DAMAGED SUSPENSION COMPONENT, BUT WAS UNABLE TO LOCATE ANY DAMAGE. UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION HE IDENTIDIED THAT THE RIVETS ATTACHING THE CROSS MEMBER TO THE FRAME WERE NOT HOLDING FAST. THE FRAME IS MOVING WHEN THE TRUCK TURNS AND STOPS OR STARTS MOTION. HE CONTACTED FORD WITHOUT ANY RESOLUTION. THIS WILL COST ME APPROXIMATELY $500 TO REPAIR BY DRILLING OUT THE RIVETS AND REPLACING WITH BOLTS. IF YOU CONTACT ME I CAN GIVE MY MECHANICS NAME AND NUMBER HE IS AWARE OF OTHER FORD FRAME FAILURES THAT HE HAS REPAIRED.
THE TRANSMISSION RUBBER SEALS SHRUNK & THIS ALLOWS OIL IN TRANSFER CASE. WOULD BE ON GEARS. THIS CAUSE TRANSMISSION TO FAIL OR OPERATE PROPERLY. HAVE TAKEN TO MECHANIC & HAD IT REPAIRED.

WHILE DRIVING AT 40 MPH THE SHAFT CASE THAT GOES INTO THE TRANSFER CASE OUT OF THE BACK OF THE TRANSMISSION WORE OUT.CONSUMER CAN HEAR NOISE COMING FROM THE VEHICLE WHEN DRIVING. *AK
WHEN DRIVING AND STOPPING AT A LIGHT AND PULLING OFF FROM THE LIGHT, THE VEHICLE LOSES ALL POWER AND DIES OUT. *AK

WHEN DRIVING AND USING THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS, THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WOULD COME ON WITHOUT PUTTING THEM ON. WHEN TOUCHING THE KNOB THEY WILL COME ON/STAY ON AND GO OFF BY THEMSELVES. CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, AND THE DEALER PUT IN A NEW MULTI-FUNCTION SWITCH. *AK *ML
WINDSHIELD WIPERS DON'T WORK. WHEN DRIVING DRIVER CAN'T SEE IN THE RAIN, WHICH COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT.
AIR BAG INDICATION LIGHT KEEPS FLASHING. DEALER HAS BEEN CONTACTED. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATON. *AK
THE PLASTIC BUSHING USED ON THE CLUTCH PLATE BROKE WHILE THE CONSUMER WAS DRIVING, INABLEING THE CONSUMER TO SHIFT THE VEHICLE INTO GEAR. DEALER HAS BEEN CONTACTED.*AK
WHILE TRAVELING AT 50MPH THE VEHICLE WAS IN AN HEAD-ON COLLISION, AND DURING THE COLLISION NEITHER AIR BAG DEPLOYED. DEALER HAS NOT BEEN CONTACTED. *AK
RIVET IN FRAME LOOSE CAUSING NOISE, INSTALLATION OF BOLT AND NUT TO SECURE.
ENGINE OIL PAN HAS LITTLE CRACKS OR HOLES WHICH CANNOT BE SEEN THROUGH VISIBLE EYES, BUT HAS AN OIL LEAK, WHICH MAY CAUSE A FIRE IF THERE IS A SOURCE OF IGNITION. *AK THE CAUSE FOR OIL LEAK IS FOUND TO BE A POROUS METAL OF THE OIL PAN. *YH
WHILE PUMPING FUEL INTO THE FIRST TANK, THE FUEL GOES STRAIGHT INTO THE SECOND TANK WHICH MAKES BOTH TANKS FULL, CAUSING FUEL LEAKAGE . CONSUMER CONTACTED DEALER WHO TOLD THE CONSUMER TO BRING THE VEHICLE IN FOR REPAIRS, BUT REFUSED TO TAKE CARE OF THE PROBLEM.
