WHILE IN PARK WITH KEY OUT OF IGNITION, TRANSMISSION JUMPED OUT OF GEAR/LOST CONTROL AND ROLLED APPROXIMATELY 10 FEET. CAUSED EXTENSIVE DAMAGE. *AK
THROTTLE STUCK WIDE OPEN DUE TO A PIECE OF INSULATION THAT FELL FROM HOOD AND WAS LODGED IN THE THROTTLE LINKAGE. IN ADDITION, ABS BRAKES HAD TO BE REPLACED DUE TO WARPAGE CAUSED BY SEVERE USE IN STOPPING VEHICLE. *AK
THE FRONT BRAKES ARE LOCKING UP ON WET PAVEMENTS. DEALER CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER TO ASK HOW TO REPAIR VEHICLE. MANUFACTURER HAS NOT CONTACTED THE DEALER. *AK
VEHICLE CAUGHT ON FIRE UNDERNEATH AND BETWEEN THE BED AND CAB OF TRUCK. *AK
VEHICLE WAS PARKED AND CAUGHT ON FIRE. THERE WAS A BIG HOLE IN THE DASH AND THE FIRE DEPARTMENT PUT WATER INTO THE DASH TO STOP THE FIRE. THE WHOLE INSIDE WAS BURNED UP AND DAMAGED FROM THE FIRE. *AK THE HORN RELAYS AND HORN PADS WERE REPLACED THREE TIMES. *YH
WINSHIELD WIPERS RARELY WORK ON INTERMITTENT SETTING AND IF THEY DO THEY ARE NOT CONSISTANT IN TIMING. ABOUT 30% OF THE TIME THE WIPPERS WILL NOT COME ON AT ALL. WASHERS WORK ONLY 20-25% OF THE TIME.*AK
WHILE VEHICLE WAS PARKED DRIVER SMELLED SMOKE, OPENED UP THE HOOD AND WENT BACK TO VEHICLE AND THE DASH EXPLODED. FIRST BEFORE ALL THIS HAPPENED, VEHICLE DIED OUT. SO WENT TO LOOK FOR THE PROBLEM AND THAT IS WHEN SMELLED SMOKE AND SEEN THE DASH ON FIRE. *AK
WHILE APPLYING FOR THE BRAKES IN NORMAL CONDITIONS, THE PEDAL WENT STRAIGHT TO THE FLOORBAORD AND THE BRAKES FAILED TO STOP THE VEHICLE, CAUSING THE CONSUMER TO CRASH INTO THE WALL. *AK
THE LUG: NUTS SHEARED AND THE WHEEL CAME OFF THE VEHICLE. DEALER HAS SEEN. *AK
WAS DRIVING VEHICLE; HAD STARTED APPLYING ABS BRAKES; BRAKES LOCKED UP; VEHICLE STARTED TO SKID; ROADS WERE DRY; TOOK TO DEALER & INFORMED HTERE WAS NO PROBLEMS. *AK
STRUTS BROKE OFF FROM AXLE, CAUSING LOSS OF TIRE AND LOSS OF CONTROL.
MAKING SHARP LEFT TURN HEARD LOUD METAL NOISE. NOTICED FRONT END DROPPED. MECHANIC DID NOT FIND PROBLEM AT FIRST. NOTICED UPPER CONTROL ARM HAD BENT. HAD FRONT END ALIGNED, WHEEL BEARINGS HAD OVERHEATED/ROTORS WARPED. NEEDED TRUCK CHECKED. *AK
THE EAR THAT THE CAM ADJUSTER RESTS AGAINST BENT BACKWARDS ALLOWING THE UPPER "A" ARM TO BECOME LOOSE. THE INCIDENT HAPPENED WHILE MAKING A SHARP LEFT TURN FROM EVEN PAVEMENT TO A RAMPED SIDE STREET.
VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN DRIVE WITH ENGINE TURNED OFF WHEN FIRE STARTED. FIRE STARTED APPROX. 30 MINUTES AFTER PARKING. FIRE DEPT. SAID FIRE STARTED FROM WIRING HARNESS. *AK

PE00020, WILDERNESS HT II, TIRE SIZE, P23570R16 ON 1997 FORD F150.REAR TIRE TREAD SEPARATED WHICH CAUSED TIRE TO BE DESTROYED, AND ALMOST CAUSED A CRASH. ON NOVEMBER 1998, REAR DRIVER'S TIRE HAD A BLOWOUT WHICH MAY HAVE CAUSED A CRASH. FIRESTONE WAS NOT WILLING TO HELP. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION.*AK FIRESTONE WILDERNESS 235/70/R16 *MW
DEALERSHIP INFORMED CONSUMER THAT SEALER HOLDING WINDSHIELD IN PLACE WAS LEAKING. THIS CAUSED A SHORT IN FUSE AND RADIO. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 1997 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD A KNOCKING NOISE COMING FROM THE ENGINE. THE VEHICLE WAS BROUGHT TO THE DEALER AND THE ENGINE WAS REPLACED. AS A RESULT, THE ENGINE BEGAN TO OVERHEAT AND A SIGNIFICANT LOST OF COOLANT RESULTED DUE TO A RESERVOIR FAILURE. AT 80,000 MILES, THE CONTACT BEGAN TO EXPERIENCE OIL PRESSURE FAILURE, WHICH THE DEALER STATED WAS CAUSED BY A BENT PISTON ROD ON THE CRANK CASE. THE MANUFACTURER WOULD NOT ASSIST THE CONTACT BECAUSE THE VIN EXCLUDED THE VEHICLE FROM THE RECALL. FORD CLAIMED TO HAVE ONLY ISSUED A PARTIAL LEVEL B RECALL. THE FAILURE ORIGINATED 6 WEEKS AGO, BUT HAS BEEN ONGOING SINCE JUNE OF 2006. THE TECHNICIAN SUGGESTING WAITING UNTIL THE ENGINE FAILS TO HAVE IT REPLACED AGAIN. THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS 850 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 108,000.
VEHICLE STILL IN SHOP BECAUSE THE BRAKES ARE NOT WORKING PROPERLY, THE BRAKES HAD FAILED MANY TIMES BEFORE, AND DRIVER IS UNHAPPY ABOUT THIS MATTER. DEALER TOLD DRIVER THAT THEY WILL REPLACE VEHICLE. *AK
MULTI-FUNCTIONAL TURN SIGNAL WOULD NOT WORK PROPLERY: TURN SIGNAL WOULD DISENGAGE BEFORE CONSUMER COMPLETED THE TURN. DEALER NOTIFIED. *AK
WHILE DRIVING AT 55 MPH, BLEW A TIRE AND HAD DIRECT FRONTAL COLLISION AND BOTH AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. INSURANCE COMPANY STATES THAT THERE IS NO DEFECT WITH THE SENSOR. *AK
BED MOVES WHEN CROSSING UNEVEN SURFACES.
DT: TURN SIGNALS HAVE NEVER FUNCTIONED RIGHT SINCE IT WAS BOUGHT. YOU HAVE TO JIGGLE THE TURN SIGNAL STOCK TO GET THEM TO BLINK. AND YOU HAVE TO HOLD THEM A CERTAIN POSITION BEFORE THEY BLINK. THERE HAVE BEEN NO RECALLS. HAVE TALKED TO FORD AND THEY SAID THAT IT WOULD COST THE CONSUMER $800.00 TO FIX THE PROBLEM. HAVE TALKED TO DEALER ALSO, AND THAT WAS NO HELP. *NM
WHILE DRIVING AT 38-45 MPH THE VEHICLE HAD A DIRECT FRONTAL ACCIDENT WITH A HOUSE AND BOTH DRIVER'S AND PASSENGER'S SIDE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY, CAUSING INJURIES TO THE OCCUPANT. *AK
VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A COLLISION AND THE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. *AK
BRAKES: DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35MPH APPROACHING AN INTERSECTION AND SLID INTO PATH OF ANOTHER VEHICLE, ONLY ONE WHEEL BRAKE ACTIVATED. VEHICLE WAS TOTALED. AIR BAG INFLATED AND EJECTED DRIVER THROUGH BACK GLASS OF THE VEHICLE. *AK
BRAKES FAILED, RESULTING IN AN ACCIDENT.
REAR PASSENGER SIDE WHEEL BROKE OFF THE SHAFT.
I HAVE HAD THE BACK LIGHT RESEALED TWICE ALREADY, STILL LEAKS...HAVE HEARD IT IS A CRACKED WINDOW FRAME, A DESIGN FLAW AND SOME HAVE HAD THE DEALER REPLACE WITH A NEW WINDOW. MINE BECAUSE OUT OF WARRANTY IS MY PROBLEM. I HAD IT FIXED ONCE UNDER WARRANTY, BUT THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTS AND SIDNEY FORD DOESN'T WANT TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT....POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WARRANTY SERVICE!!!
STARTS VEHICLE AND IT VIBRATES EXCESSIVELY. STEERING IS HARD TO DRIVE, CANNOT CONTROL.TOOK THE CAR TO DEALERSHIP, UNABLE TO FIND CAUSE OR PROBLEM. DEALER NOTIFIED MANUFACTURER OF THE PROBLEM. *AK
DOOR LATCH ASSEMBLY; WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE AT SPEED 50MPH, LOST CONTROL, VEHICLE ROLLED AND WENT INTO AN EMBANKMENT OF 4 FEET AND ROLLED 3 TIMES. FAILURE OF DOOR LATCH ASSEMBLY CAUSED THE DOOR TO FLY OPEN. *AK
SERIOUS VIBRATIONS COME FROM THE TRANSFER CASE/TRANSMISSION AT HIGH SPEEDS. OWNER BELIEVES IT'S A DRIVE SHAFT PROBLEM.
ALL 4 OEM TIRES WERE REPLACED AT FIRESTONE DEALER SUGGESTION WITHIN 15-18K MILES. VISUAL CRACKS IN TREAD BODY AND 1 PREMATURE MIDBODY ROAD FAILURE WITH NO OBSERVABLE ROAD HAZARD. WITHIN THE NEXT 15-18K THE NEXT SET OF 4 REPLACEMENT HT'S WERE REPLACED. NOW WITH APPROX. 35K ON THE THIRD SET OF HT'S AN INDEPENDENT SHOP (NON-FIRESTONE) HAS DIAGNOSISED A SIGNIFICANT PULL TO THE RIGHT AS "TIRE PULL" INDICATING POSSIBLE CORD TO BODY SLIPPAGE. ALL FAILURES AND REPLACEMENTS HAVE BEEN IN WEST TEXAS WITH HIGH AMBIENT TEMPERATURES.( DOT NUMBER: TIRE SIZE: P235/70R16 )
VIBRATION IN THE FRONT END MAKES A LOUD NOISE WHEN DRIVING AT A SPEED 67MPH OR MORE. IN FOR REPAIR , MANUFACTURER KNOWS ABOUT IT AND IT IS UNDER INVESTIGATION. *AK
THE VEHICLE'S FRONT PASSENGER'S WHEEL FELL OFF DUE TO THE FIVE LUGS: NUTS: STUDS SHEARING OFF, CAUSING THE WHEEL TO FALL OFF AND ALMOST CAUSES AN ACCIDENT. *AK

WHEELS SPLIT IN THE LOCATION WHERE THE TWO PIECES THAT MAKE UP THE WHEEL ARE JOINED, THIS CAUSES AIR LOSS.
DUAL AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY DURING FRONT END COLLISION; IMPACT 11:00; LOST CONTROL OF VEHICLE, WENT UP/DOWN AN EMBANKMENT; AIRBAG INDICATOR CAME ON, NO DEPLOYMENT. *AK

TRUCK'S TAIL END FISH-TAILED, RESULTING IN A CRASH.
WHENEVER BRAKES ARE APPLIED, DAMP, RAINY OR COLD WEATHER, THE BRAKES WOULD MAKE NOISE & LOCK UP. AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP & MECHANIC CHECKED IT. HAD REPLACED PADS & DRUMS ON BRAKES. HAD THE BRAKES INPSPECTED & TOLD BRAKES WERE OKAY, BUT STILL HAVE PROBLEM. WAS TOLD BY MECHANIC TO COME ONCE A MONTH TO HAVE IT CHECKED. MANUFACTURER KNOWS OF PROBLEM. *AK
DRIVER'S CAR HIT ANOTHER CAR AND DRIVER'S AIR BAG DIDN'T DEPLOY. *AK
WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES UNDER NORMAL BRAKING SITUATION ON WET ROAD SURFACE, THE FRONT WHEELS LOCK UP AND THE TRUCK WILL SLIDE ABOUT 6-8 FEET BEFORE STOPPING. BRAKE ROTORS WERE OUT OF ROUND. THE ROTORS WERE CUT DOWN. ONE YEAR AND SIX MONTHS LATER, OWNER EXPERIENEDTHE SAME PROBLEM WITH BRAKE SYSTEM. NOT TAKEN TO DEALERSHIP FOR THIS PROBLEM. *AK
WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY ABOUT 70MPH, HAS TO PUT A LOT OF PRESSURE ON THE STEERING WHEEL IN ORDER FOR THE VEHICLE TO GO STAIGHT. IF TAKING SOME OF THE PRESSURE OFF THE STEERING WHEEL, THE VEHICLE WILL GO OUT OF CONTROL. *AK

CONSUMER HAD A FLAT TIRE. TOOK ORIGINAL TIRE OFF TO BE FIXED. ONCE FIXED, THE TIRE WAS PLACED BACK ON. WHILE TRAVELING AT 30MPH THE WHEELS BROKE OFF DUE TO FAULTY LUGS: NUTS. CONSUMER RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER FROM THE MANUFACTURER REGARDING THE LUGS: NUTS. *AK
