IN DAMP OR RAINY WEATHER THE BRAKING SYSTEM GRABS FOR A COUPLE OF TIMES AND VEHICLE SKIDS, WHICH MAY CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. DEALER SAID IT'S CHARACTERISTIC OF THE VEHICLE. AFTER 3 YEARS THEY REPLACED THE REAR BRAKE PADS FREE, PROBLEM FIXED. *AK.ET.
WHEN APPLYING BRAKES ON DAMP ROADS REAR BRAKES LOCKED UP, CAUSING TRUCK TO GO SIDEWAYS. PROBLEM GETS WORSE ON ICE OR SNOW ROADS. DEALER IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. NEW BRAKES WERE PUT ON THE TRUCK WHICH DID NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM. OWNER WANTS DEALER TO PAY FOR COST OF REPAIRS. *AK *ML
WHEN PULLING OFF FROM A DEAD STOP, WHENEVER THE GEARS GO TO CHANGE, THERE IS A RATTLING NOISE LIKE A TICKING. *AK
PITMAN ARM HAD FALLEN OFF FROM THE STEERING SECTOR SHAFTS DUE TO MISSING RETAINER NUT AND WASHER, RESULTING IN AN ACCIDENT/INJURY. *AK
ENGINE VAPOR MANAGEMENT VALVE FAILED.
STEERING SHAKES AND MAKES NOISE WHEN TURNING OR WHEN VEHICLE HITS A BUMP.*AK
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1997 FORD F150. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH WHEN THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED AND THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SURGE. THE FAILURE RECURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS ON SEVERAL OCCASSIONS YET, THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE UNINTENDED ACCELERATION FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,000.
WHEN DRIVING THROUGH TALL GRASS, THE GRASS GETS CUT OFF/FALLS ON THE TRANSMISSION CROSS MEMBER, WHERE IT IS IGNITED BY THE HEAT FROM THE EXHAUST PIPE, WHICH IS ROUTED RIGHT BEHIND THE CROSS MEMBER.
EA98018; ALLEGED LOSS OF THROTTLE CONTROL. WHENEVER THE CRUISE CONTROL IS SET AT 45 GOING UPHILL, THE THROTTLE WILL STICK. DRIVER HAS TO PRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL REALLY HARD TO DISENGAGE SYSTEM. THE MANUFACTURE/DEALER IS NOT AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. *AK *ML
ON HIGHWAY DRIVER NEEDS TWO HANDS TO STEER THE VEHICLE. STEERING IS HARD TO HANDLE, SOMETIMES OVERSTEERING OCCURS, DEALER CONTACTED THREE TIMES. DEALER HAS ALIGNED THE FRONT END AND ADJUSTED THE TOE, CAMBER AND CASTER, HOWEVER CONSUMER STILL COMPLAINS OF STEERING WHEEL STIFFNESS, DEALER CAN NOT REMEDY. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. *SLC

WHILE DRIVING ON A DIRT ROAD AT 35 MPH, THE LEFT REAR TIRE BLEW OUT. IN ADDITION, REAR FRAME WAS BENT BECAUSE THREE DEALERS HAD MODIFIED TRUCK BY PUTTING ON OVERLOADS. ALSO, REAR SPRINGS/SHOCKS WERE DEFECTIVE/LEAKING. *AK
ENGINE FAILED.
EA980018; WHILE DRIVING FLOORMAT SLIDED UNDERNEATH THE GAS PEDAL WHICH CAUSED ACCELERATION, ALMOST CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. *AK

RIGHT REAR AXLE SHIFTED, CAUSING REAR END OF TRUCK TO SWAY OUT OF CONTROL.
WHILE TURNING FRONT AXLE SHEARED OFF WITH ENTIRE AXLE MOVING INTO WHEEL HUBS, DRIVER UNABLE TO KEEP TRUCK FROM HAVING AN IMPACT.
THE REAR TAIL PIPE CAME OUT BY THE RIGHT REAR TIRE . PLEASE DESCRIBE .*AK

WHEN APLYING BRAKES IN NORMAL CONDITIONS, THE VEHICLE BRAKES FAILED, CAUSING EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE BEFORE VEHICLE CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP. *AK
VEHICLE DRIFTS TO THE RIGHT. HIGH EFFORTS ON STEERING EFFECTIVENESS. *AK
BACK REAR WINDOW LEAKS AND THEY HAVE FAILED TO FIX THREE TIMES AT TWO DIFFERENT DEALERS. THE FIRST DEALER FAILED TO TELL ME THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE WINDOW. THE SECOND DEALER FIXED IT UNDER SOME KIND OF RECALL AND NOW REFUSES TO FIX IT AGAIN. THE WINDOW IS STILL LEAKING.
WHILE DRIVING THE STEERING COLUMN MAKES AN VERY LOUD NOISE. MANUFACTURER SAID THAT THIS WAS UNDER INVESTIGATION. *AK
TRANSMISSION VALVE FAILED.
ABS BRAKE FAILURE, WHEN BRAKES ARE APPLIED THEY LOST EFFECTIVENESS , AFTER FEW SECONDS BRAKES WILL STOP THE VEHCILE. *AK CONSUMER COULD HEAR A CLANGING NOISE, WAS COMING FROM DRIVE SHAFT, DEALER REMOVED DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY AND PACKED SHIFT YOKE WITH GREASE. *SLC
CONSUMER STATES THAT WHEN DRIVING IN THE RAIN, THE BACK BRAKES WILL LOCK UP. THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED AND STATES THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM. *MR THE CONSUMER STATES THAT FORD WILL NOT AGREE TO REPAIR THIS PROBLEM. *SCC
CENTER ARM REST/STORAGE CONSOLE DOES NOT LOCK IN THE DOWN POSITION. THEREFORE, DRINKS PLACED IN INTEGRAL CUP HOLDER CAN BE LAUNCHED INTO BACK SEAT IF SOMEONE PLACES WEIGHT ON THE REAR PORTION OF THE ARM REST.
BRAKES FAILED, CAUSING ACCIDENT/INJURY.
WROUGHT ALUMINUM WHEELS HOLD WATER/ICE IN FREEZING WEATHER, CAUSING WHEELS TO BE UNBALANCED.
SEVERE PORTION OF CENTER TIRE TREAD SEPERATED WHILE DRIVING. *AK

WHEN DRIVING THE TRUCK HEARS A LOUD NOISE IN THE DASHBOARD, AND THE TRUCK IS HARD TO CONTROL, IT GOES ALL OVER THE ROAD. TOOK TO DEALER AND WAS TOLD IT WAS THE STEERING COLUMN, THEY PUT EXTENSIONS ON THE STEERING COLUMN, BUT THE PROBLEM IS STILL REOCCURRING. *AK
FAILURE OF THE STEERING WHEEL, WHEN DRIVING THE STEERING WHEEL MAKES A KNOCKING/GRINDING SOUND, CAUSING THE CONSUMER TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE.*AK
POOR INSTALLMENT OF RIGHT DOOR SEAL, ALLOWING ROAD NOISE TO ENTER VEHICLE ABOVE 55 MPH.
A/T: STARTED ENGINE, NOTICED MOTOR IDLING HIGH; SHIFTED FROM PARK TO REVERSE, FOOT ON BRAKES, VEHICLE LURCHED BACKWARDS, KEPT SLIDING, HIT PARKED VEHICLE. *AK
INTERMITTENT STALLING.
THE EXHAUST PIPE BLOWS DIRECTLY ON THE PASSENGER'S SIDE REAR WHEEL. IN WINTER WEATHER THIS CAUSES ICE TO FORM ON THE WHEEL, WHICH MAKES THE BRAKES INOPERATIVE. THE MANUFACTURER/DEALER ARE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. THE PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN CORRECTED. *AK
