ON 97'S AND UP THE DOORS ARE CRACKING JUST ABOVE THE DOOR HANDLES ON THE OUTSIDE THERE IS SERVICE BULLETINS ON MY 98 TELLING OF THESE CRACKS JUST ABOUT EVERYONE I TALK TO HAS THIS PROBLEM AND DIDN'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IT. FORD WANTS TO PAY 80% ,I FEEL THEY SHOULD HAVE A RECALL ON ALL OF THEM AND PAY IT ALL. *AK
FROM 1997'S TO 2000'S F-150 1 OR 2 OF THEIR DOORS ARE CRACKING JUST ABOVE THE DOOR HANDLES AT BOTTOM OF GLASS ON THE EXTERIOR FORD MOTOR CO. HAS SERVICE BULLETINS DATED IN 1998 ON MY TRUCK TELLING OF THESE CRACKS . 2 PEOPLE IN MY FAMILY HAS THIS PROBLEM ALSO WITH THEIR 2000'S, AND JUST ABOUT EVERYONE I TELL HAS THE SAME PROBLEM , A LOT OF THEM AREN'T AWARE OF IT, FORD WANTS TO PAY 80%, THEY SHOULD PAY IT ALL. *AK
THE TRUCK WAS SITTING IN THE PARKING LOT AT WORK WHEN THE DRIVERS SIDE TORSION BAR BROKE. FROM SOME PEOPLE I HAVE TALKED TO THIS HAS HAPPENED TO QUITE A FEW OTHER TRUCKS-SAME SIDE TORSION BAR. THE DEALER HAS WORKED WITH US AS WELL AS CAN BE EXPECTED CONSIDERING THAT THE MANUFACTURER REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE A PROBLEM. I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO SPEAK WITH A REPRESENTATIVE BECAUSE THEY ARE " ON VACATION". I AM CONCERNED ABOUT WHAT COULD HAPPEN TO ANOTHER FAMILY WITH THE SAME TRUCK IF PERHAPS THE BAR WOULD BREAK WHILE DRIVING. THIS A A DANGEROUS PROBLEM THAT FORD MOTOR COMPANY IS REFUSING TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT. I HAVE WRITTEN TO THEM ON TWO OCCASSIONS NOW ASKING FOR THEM TO ISSUE A RECALL SINCE THIS IS NOT JUST MY TRUCK, BUT MANY OTHERS. ALSO, I DO NOT BELIEVE THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKES SHOULD FAIL ON A TRUCK WITH THE MILEAGE IT HAD AT THE TIME. THE DEALER ALSO WORKED WITH US ON THIS PROBLEM. OUR TOTAL BILL WAS FOR $90.87 FOR BOTH OF THE PROBLEMS, BUT I STILL BELIEVE THAT FORD MOTOR COMPANY SHOULD REIMBURSE US THIS MONEY CONSIDERING THAT THIS IS A MAJOR DEFECT BOTH WITH THE TORTION BAR AND THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKES. CONSUMER HAS A 1998, FORD F150. LEFT REAR TIRE SEPARATED WHILE TRAVELING 65MPH. ORIGINAL TIRES ON VEHICLE, TIRE SIZE P235/70R16 DOT# W2081PT357. FIRESTONE CUSTOMER ASSISTANT RECOMMENDED THAT CONSUMER PURCHASE ANOTHER TIRE.*AK *SLC
THERE IS A VISIBLE SPLIT IN THE SIDEWALL WHERE THE TREAD BODY JOINS THE SIDEWALL. SPLIT RUNS ABOUT 30-40% AROUND SIDEWALL. APPEARS THAT THE TREAD BELT IS SEPARATING FROM SIDEWALL. NOT FROM ROAD HAZARD OR UNDERINFLATION. TIRE HAS NOW BEEN REMOVED AND KEPT BY OWNER. OWNER HAS ALSO REPLACED (AND KEPT) THE OTHER 3 ORIGINAL TIRES. ALL TIRE ARE AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION. RIGHT REAR TIRE BLEW OUT SIDEWALL (DOT NUMBER: W2081PT427 TIRESIZE: P235 70R16)
BOTH THE DRIVER'S AND PASSANGER'S DOORS HAVE SHEET METAL FAILURE NEXT TO THE LOWER REAR CORNER OF THE WINDOW. CRACK IS APPROXIMATELY 1/2 INCH LONG AND APPEARS TO BE GROWING. DEALER SAYS FORD KNOWS OF THIS ISSUE BUT IS NOT COVERING IT.
CONSUMER STATES THE FIRESTONE WILDERNESS HT TIRE P255/70R16 DOT W2081PT206 HAD A PORTION OF RAISED TREAD THAT WAS CAUSING A BUMPING SOUND AND VIBRATION IN THE STEERING WHEEL, FIRESTONE REPLACED TIRE. *SLC
FOR THE SECOND TIME IN 2 YEARS THE POWER CONTROL MODULE HAS FAILED. THE FIRST TIME WAS JUST AFTER I PURCHASED THE TRUCK IN APRIL 1998. THE ENGINE WILL SUDDENLY JUST DIE. THIS HAPPENED REGARDLESS OF SPEED. THE ENGINE WOULD, MOST TIMES, REQUIRE SEVERAL MINUTES OF TURNING THE IGNITION ON AND OFF AND CRANKING OF THE ENGINE BEFORE IT WOULD RESTART. I RETURNED THE TRUCK TO THE DEALER I PURCHAED IT FROM 3 SEPERATE TIMES. TWICE I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE IT IN AND THE LAST TIME REQUIRED A TOW. ON ALL THREE OCCASIONS THERE WERE NO ERROR CODES IN THE COMPUTER TO INDICATE THAT ANYTHING HAD HAPPENED. THE DEALER REPLACED BOTH THE PCM AND THE ECM AT THE TIME OF THE THIRD FAILURE AND THAT SOLVED THE PROBLEM AT THAT TIME. ON OCTOBER 1 OF 2000 MY WIFE AND I WENT TO RUN A FEW ERRANDS. WE HAD ONLY TRAVELED 1/4 MILE WHEN THE ENGINE SHUT DOWN WHILE TRAVELING 25 MPH. IT TOOK 6 ATTEMPTS TO RETART THE ENGINE. WE THEN DROVE ANOTHER 1/2 MILE ONLY TO HAVE THE ENGINE ONCE AGAIN SHUT DOWN WHILE TRAVELING UP A HILL AT 35 MPH. THE ENGINE KICKED BACK IN BEFORE WE WERE ABLE TO PULL TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, SO WE CONTINUED ON OUR WAY. ON OCT 2 DROVE THE TRUCK TO A DIFFERENT DEALER. SHOWED THEM THE PAPERWORK FROM 1998. AGAIN WHEN CHECKED, NO ERROR CODES. THEY HAD TRUCK FOR 3 DAYS BUT NO FAILURE. AGREED TO REPLACE PCM AT NO CHARGE. AS OF 10/28 NO FURTHER PROBLEM NOTED.*AK
THE DEALERSHIP IS CALLING THE TORSION BAR A "WEAR AND TEAR ITEM" THEREFORE IT IS CONSIDERED A WARRANTY ITEM AND NOT A MANUFACTURING DEFECT. FOR MY TRUCK, WHICH IS USED AS A COMMUTER VEHICLE, HAS THE "OFF-ROAD PACKAGE" AND HAS SEEN A NON-PAVED ROAD ALL OF 5 TIMES, I FIND IT UNACCEPTABLE THAT THIS ITEM IS NOT COVERED UNDER SOME SORT OF WARRANTY OR RECALL. I HAVE SEARCHED THE NHTSA DATABASE AND SEEN NUMEROUS (36) CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS ON THE SAME TYPE OF FAILURE. I COULD UNDERSTAND THE TORSION BAR FAILURE (MAYBE) IF THE TRUCK WERE USED ON A DAILY BASIS FOR CONSTRUCTION PURPOSES OR IF I EXCEEDED THE RECOMMENDED USES OF THE VEHICLE, BUT I HAVE NOT. THE TRUCK IS AT LESS THAN HALF ITS EXPECTED LIFE AND YET ONE OF THE MAIN SUSPENSION COMPONENTS HAD FAILED. THIS BAR REPLACED THE COIL SPRINGS ON THE PAST GENERATION OF TRUCKS. HAVE YOU NEVER HEARD OF COIL SPRINGS SNAPPING? I ALSO FIND IT RATHER TROUBLESOME THAT FORD HAS RECENTLY BEEN ACCUSED OF TURNING THE OTHER WAY WHEN PROBLEMS ARISE WITH ITS VEHICLES. IS THIS GOING TO BECOME ANOTHER FIRESTONE RECALL SCENARIO OR WILL FORD TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ITS ENGINEERING/MANUFACTURING MISTAKES? IM STARTING TO WONDER WHAT BUILT FORD TOUGH ACTUALLY MEANS.*AK
PE00-020; AFTER INSPECTING THE TIRES FOUND CRACKS IN THE GROOVE.TIRES HAD TO BE REPLACED. FORD TRUCK, F150 1998, FIRESTONE, WILDERNESS HT, P235/75R16. *AK FIRESTONE DEALER INSPECTED THE TIRES AND INDICATED THAT THE CRACKS IN THE GROOVES HAD WEAKENED THE TREAD. THE DEALER ALSO WARNED THE CUSTOMER THAT THE TIRES COULD BLOW OUT. THE CUSTOMER CHOSE TO REPLACE. *YH

AFTER A TECHNICIAN INSPECTED THE TIRES FOUND A STARTING TREAD SEPARATION ON THE FOUR SETS OF TIRES WHERE ONE OF THEM WAS REPLACD LAST YEAR. CURRENTLY, HAD TO REPLACE THE FOUR SETS BECAUSE OF TREAD SEPARATION. FIRESTONE, WILDERNESS HT, P235/70R16, DOT W208IPT. *AK FIRESTONE WILDERNESS AT P235/70/R16 *MW
PE00 020; CONSUMER INSPECTED TIRES AND FOUND CRACKS ALL AROUND THE TIRES. FIRESTONE, WILDERNESS #HT, P23570R16.. HE CONTACTED FIRESTONE.*AK ON BOTH REAR TIRES THERE WAS COMPLETE SEPARATION AT THE TREAD AROUND THE ENTIRE CIRCUMFERENCE OF THE TIRES. THE CUSTOMER GOT 50% ADJUSTMENT ON NEW REPLACEMENT TIRES FROM THE FIRESTONE DEALER. *YH
STEERING WHEEL BECAME COMPLETELY USELESS WHEN THE STEERING SHAFT SEPARATED, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO JUMP THE CURB NARROWLY MISSING A LARGE TREE AND BRIDGE ABUTMENT. *AK
MY 1 TIRE HAD STARTED TO SEPARATE EXACTLY LIKE THE 15" WILDERNESS AT TIRES THAT HAVE BEEN RECALLED. I'VE WAITED TO SEE IF MY TIRES WOULD BE RECALLED. I REPLACED MY TIRES W/NEW GOODYEAR TIRES THE VERY NEXT DAY, BUT I KEPT THE OLD TIRES WHICH THE OTHER 3 SHOW SIGNIFICANT DETERIATION. I ALSO TOOK PICTURES OF ALL 4 TIRES SHOWING THE CRACKS ALONG WITH THE 1 THAT SEPERATED. I FEEL THE PUBLIC SHOULD BE MADE AWARE OF THIS & THAT THE 15" TIRES ARE NOT THE ONLY ONES THAT COULD SEPERATE & COST INNOCENT PEOPLE THEIR LIVES. TREAD SEPARATING FROM CARCASS. TOOK TO FIRESTONE RETAILER AND WAS TOLD THIS SIZE IS NOT COVERED BY CURRENT RECALL. RETAILER STATED THAT HE WOULD GIVE $30.00 FOR ONE OF THE TIRES AND THAT I WOULD HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THE OTHER TIRES SEPERATED MORE SEVERELY.*AK (TIRESIZE: 23570/R16)( DOT NUMBER: TIRE SIZE: 23570/R16 )
I REPORTED TRANSMISSION PROBLEM TO DEALER, BUT THEY FOUND NOTHING WRONG.*AK
FIRESTONE, WILDERNESS/HT, P235R7016 WAS ON THIS FORD, F150, 1998 WHEN TREAD SEPARATED FROM THE TIRE WHILE TRAVELING AT SPEED OF 60 MPH. FIRESTONE HAS BEEN CONTACTED, AND REPLACED TIRE. CONSUMER WAS CHARGED.*AK DOT#W2081PT317. *SLC
DOME LIGHT WILL NOT TURN OFF EVEN WITH ALL THREE DOORS FULLY CLOSED. *LA
TWICE IN THE PAST 6 MONTHS, I OR MY WIFE HAD THE VEHICLE JUST TURN OFF. WHEN IT SHUT OFF FOR MY WIFE, IT HAPPENED AT 45MPH. SHE LOST PWR STEERING BUT WAS LUCKY IN GETTING OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. AFTER 5 MINS OF TRYING TO START THE TRUCK, IT STARTED AND DIDN'T HAPPEN AGAIN TILL AUGUST. IT HAPPENED WHILE I WAS DRIVING.
DURING A RUTINE SERVICE ON MY F150 PICKUP IT WAS INDICATED THAT THE TIRE WAS SPLITING. I HAVE CONTACTED FIRESTONE FOR A REPLACEMENT TIRE AND THEY WILL NOT REPLACE AT FULL COST, THE NOTIFIED ME THAT I WILL INQUIRE THE COST AFTER BEING PRORATED. I FEEL THIS IS THE SAME THING THAT IS HAPPENING TO THE RECALLED TIRE'S AND I FEEL THAT THIS ALSO NEED TO BE RECALLED BEFORE SOMEONE IS INJURIED OR KILLED. MY TRUCK HAS A CRACK IN THE OUTSIDE BODY SHEET METAL NEAR THE CORNER OF THE DRIVERS WINDOW ON THE DOOR. DEALERSHIP WHERE I BOUGHT IT SAYS NOTHING THEY CAN DO BECAUSE IT IS OUT OF WARRANTY. WATER SEEPED INTO THE REAR WINDOW. WHEN THE PROBLEM FIRST STARTED, THE REPAIR SHOP SEALED THE GLASS, BUT THE PROBLEM HAD PROGRESSED OVER TIME. NOW THE ENTIRE REAR WINDOW HAS TO BE REPLACED TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. THE AUTO GLASS SHOP INDICATED IT WAS DUE TO A FAULTY WINDOW FRAME . THEY ALSO INDICATED IT WAS A COMMON FAILURE WITH THE REAR WINDOWS. *JB

I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE LOW LEVEL OF CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE RECIEVED FROM F IRESTONE. AS A TRUCK DRIVER I KNOW FROM EXPERIENCE THE SIGHT,SOUND, AND FEEL OF TIRE TREAD SEPARATING FROM THE STEEL BELTS...A TIRE LITERALY COMING APART AT THE SEAMS!! TIRE HAD THUMPING SOUND. TOOK CAR TO LES SCHWAB TO LOOK AT. SAID NOTHING WRONG WAS FOUND. ON VACATION, SOUND WORSENED. TOOK VEHICLE TO FORD DEALER, TOLD ME THAT I SHOULD GO TO GOODYEAR DEALER. GOODYEAR SAID THAT TIRES WERE "CUPPING" WHICH MEANS THE CORDS ARE SEPARATING. THEY WOULD NOT REPLACE, TIRE, MADE ME BUY NEW ONES. SAID BECAUSE I DIDN'T ROTATE TIRES EVERY 3K MILES, THAT I VOIDED WARRANTY. I CHECKED WITH FORD, AND THE TIRE ROTATION ISN'T A WARRANTY MUST, ONLY A RECCOMMENDATION. SHOULD NOT VOID WARRANTY. I CALLED GOODYEAR AND THEY TOLD ME THEY COULD DO NOTHING. I JUST WANT THE WARRANTY TO BE HONORED. *AK( DOT NUMBER: TIRE SIZE: P235/15 )
PASSENGER SIDE TORSION BAR FAILED AND SUSPENSION DROPPED. FORTUNATELY VEHICLE WAS STOPPED. BROKE AT REAR MOUNTING AT TENSIONER POINT. FORD REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY BUT REFUSED TO CHANGE DRIVER SIDE EVEN THOUGH IT EXHIBITS SIGNIFICANCT SURFACE CORROSION IN THE SAME AREA. FROM MY SEARCH OF NHTSA AND OTHER INTERNET DATA AND FROM FORD EMPLOYEE COMMENTS THIS APPEARS TO BE A REPEAT PROBLEM FOR THIS VEHICLE. I HAVE ELECTRONIC PHOTOS SHOWING PITTING AND CORROSION OF DRIVER SIDE TORSION BAR THAT FORD STATES IS ACCEPTABLE. I HAVE NOTED THAT NHTSA OPENED AN ACTION #PE98-009 ON THIS MATTER 13 FEB-98 AND CLOSED IT 30 JUNE-98. I'VE ALSO NOTED NUMEROUS COMPLAINT FILINGS FOR F150 TORSION BAR FAILURES WITH NHTSA AND OTHER INTERNET DATA BASES. THIS WOULD SEEM A HIGHLY DANGEROUS SITUATION THAT COULD RESULT IN ACCIDENT AND FATALITIES IF BREAKING AT HIGHWAY SPEED. I BELEIVE THIS WARRANTS A NEW INVESTIGATION AND ISSUANCE OF CORRECTIVE ACTION REQUIREMENTS TO FORD. THE FACT THAT COMPLAINT FILES INDICATE FREQUENT BACK ORDERS FOR PARTS MIGHT INDICATE FORD IS DOING A LOT OF REPLACEMENTS.
THERE ARE SO MANY COMPLAIETS ON THE CRACKED DOOR WHY IS THERE NOT A RECALL?
FIRESTONE DEALER TOLD ME THAT MY SIZE TIRE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN RECALL. THE DEALER REPLACED A TIRE BEFORE THE RECALL BECAUSE IT WAS DEFECT IN THE SAME WAY AS THE RECALLED SIZE. I CAN ASSURE YOU THAT THE PROBLEM EXISTS IN THE P235/70R-16 BECAUSE I SAW IT. PLEASE CONTACT ME IF YOU WANT FURTHER INFORMATION. THE RECALL SHOULD INCLUDE P235/70R16 AND POSSIBLY OTHER SIZES( DOT NUMBER: TIRE SIZE: 235/70R-16 )
GEAR SHIFT INDICATOR SNAPPED IN NASHVILLE, TN ON CROSSCOUNTRY TRIP FROM ARIZONA TO MARYLAND, STRANDING US 36 HOURS IN NASHVILLE. GEAR SHIFT INDICATOR WOULD NOT GO INTO PARK. CABLE FIXED, BUT IT MUST HAVE TAKEN OUT OUR ALARM SYSTEM AND STEERING WHEEL LOCKING MECHANISM. STEERING WHEEL WILL NOT LOCK UNLESS YOU YANK IT 900 TO THE RIGHT OR LEFT. KOONS FORD IN ANNAPOLIS, MD, TOLD US THIS WAS "NORMAL" ON THE LOCKING PROBLEM, AND THAT FOUR OTHER VEHICLES ON THEIR LOT DO THE SAME THING. '!@#$%. WE NOW HAVE AN APPOINTMENT ON SEPT 1 FOR THEM TO REPAIR THE LOCKING MECHANISM AFTER MY DAUGHTER CALLED THEM THIS PAST WHEEL COMPLETELY UNABLE TO UNLOCK THE STEERING COLUMN. FORD SERVICE IS AN OXYMORON. THERE IS NO SUCH THING. *TR
THE DOOR CRACK IS AT THE BASE OF THE LOWER WINDOW STRUCTURE. THE CRACK WILL CONTINUE TO INCREASE IN SIZE FURTHER WEAKENING THE DOOR STRENGTH. IT IS UNKNOW IF THE DOOR WILL REMAIN INTACT DURING COLLISION. PERSONAL SURVEY RESULTS : 62 VEHICLES EXAMINED, 52 HAD CRACKS, 2 WERE REPAIRED UNDER WARRANTY BY MANUFACTURER.

REAR WINDSHIELD LEAKS WHEN IN CONTACT WITH WATER. DEALER HAS ADVISED THAT DEFECT IS WHERE WINDOW SEAL IS CONNECTED TO WINDOW, THERE IS A GAP WHICH CANNOT BE SEALED. DEALER HAS RECOGNIZED PROBLEM AS DEFECT, BUT WILL NOT COVER EXPENSES. *AK
THE HORN AND CRUISE CONTROL DO NOT WORK. ACCORDING TO MANY WEBSITE POSTINGS THE TWO ARE RELATED. EVIDENTLY THERE IS A SO CALLED "SPRING CLIP" IN THE STEERING COLUMN THAT NEEDS REPLACING- COST IS AROUND 300.00. THIS IS QUITE A COMMON PROBLEM ON THE F-SERIES PICKUPS. I CAN PUT A FUSE IN AND IT WILL SHORT WHEN I USE THE HORN.*AK

CONSUMER HAS A 1998 FORD F150 WITH THE ORIGINAL TIRES. BOTH FRONT TIRES HAD TREAD SEPARATION & WERE REPLACED WITH SAME BRANDS, TIRE SIZE P235/70R16. DOT# W2081PT326. APPROXIMATE MILEAGE 45,000. TIRES WERE REPLACED BEFORE RECALL WAS ANNOUCED.*AK
I TOOK MY TIRES TO A FORD DEALER AND SHOWED THEM. THE ONLY THING THEY SAID WAS THAT I BETTER GET THEM CHANGED OR PARK MY TRUCK. THESE TIRES STILL LOOK NEW. BUT THEY ARE GETTING AIR BUBBLES UNDER THE TREAD. BELTS ARE COMING APART OR BROKEN. BUT THE TREAD STILL LOOKS LIKE NEW. I DONT THINK IT IS FAIR , THEY HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THESE TIRES AND WONT FIX THEM. I HAVE EVEN TALKED TO MY FORD DEALER ABOUT YOUR ADVISERY AND THEY SAID IT DOESNT MEAN ANYTHING TO THEM. PLEASE DONT LET THESE PEOPLE GET AWAY WITH THIS. MY WIFE AND 4 KIDS RIDE WITH ME, I CANT AFFORD TO LOOSE THEM BECOUSE SOME TIRE COMPANY FEELS LIKE THEY DONT HAVE A PROBLEM. PE00020; TIRE TREAD SEPARATION: WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 55 MPH, SIDEWALL CAME OFF THE TIRE ON THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE. DRIVER WAS ABLE TO CONTROL VEHICLE, AND WAS NOT INJURED. TIRE WAS ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT ON A FORD, F150, 1998. TIRE WAS PRORATED AT 50% ON THE PURCHASE OF A NEW TIRE, AT A FIRESTONE DEALERSHIP. I AM PROUD OWNER OF FORD 1998 F150 V8 XLT 2WD. I DO MOST MY TRUCK'S MAINTENANCE AT HOME. AS I WAS ROTATING MY TIRES LAST NIGHT, ONE OF FRONT LEFT-HAND SIDE WHEEL BOLT SNAPPED AS I WAS TURNING A NUT ON IT. THE LUG NUT WAS LOOSE AND IT WAS KEPT TURNING. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED AT THE FACT THAT THE BOLT EASILY BROKE WHILE USING LITTLE FORCE BY HANDS. THIS IS MY SECOND FORD AND I NEVER HAD THIS KIND OF PROBLEM BEFORE. SO I DECIDED TO GO TO THE FORD WEBSITE AND I FOUND OUT THAT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR MY TRUCK ON THE WHEEL NUTS. HOWEVER I DID NOT GET ANY INFORMATION UNTIL AFTER THE TIRE ROTATION. SO I CALLED THE PUENTE HILLS FORD DEALERSHIP IF I TAKE MY TRUCK TO THE DEALERSHIP SO THEY CAN REPAIR BROKEN WHEEL BOLT DUE TO ALREADY RECALLED NUT. AND THE DEALERSHIP SAID THAT THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE BROKEN BOLT. THEY WILL CHARGE ME ABOUT $73.00 FOR THE REPAIR. BUT IF THEY CONTACTED ME FOR THE RECALL I WOULD NOT HAVE THIS KIND OF PROBLEM. THE REASON WHY THE FORD COMPANY RECALLED THE LUG NUT IS THAT THE LUG NUTS CAME LOOSE FOR MY TRUCK AND THAT IS EXACTLY PROBLEM I WAS HAVING. AND THAT IS WHY I WAS TURNING THE NUT ON THE BOLT UNTIL THE POINT WHEN IT SNAPPED. I DROVE FORDS ALL MY LIFE AND I THINK THE DEALERSHIP IS TRYING TO AVOID THEIR RESPONSIBILITY. PLEASE HELP ME.*AK
DRIVER'S AND PASSENGER'S SIDE DOORS ARE CRACKING VERTICALLY, AND THE UPPER AND LOWER DOORS ARE DETACHING FROM PANEL. *AK
