I OWN A 2004 F150 SUPER CREW TRUCK AND I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE REGULATORS IN THREE OF MY WINDOWS BECAUSE THEY ARE DEFECTIVE AND THEY ALMOST MADE ME WRECK MY TRUCK BECAUSE TWO OF THEM FELL IN HEAVY TRAFFIC AND SOUNDED LIKE SOMEONE HAD SHOT IT OUT AND I KNOW IT IS JUST A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE THE FOURTH ONE FALLS, FORD NEEDS TO HAVE A RECALL AND REPAIR AND REPLACE THOSE REGULATORS BEFORE LIVES ARE LOST AND THE COST TO REPLACE THE REGULATORS IS OUTRAGEOUS. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO PURCHASE A FORD F-150 BECAUSE YOU DON'T STAND BEHIND WORK. PLEASE RECALL THESE TRUCKS AND REPLACE THESE FAULTY REGULATORS FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR FAMILIES AND REPAIR THE GOOD NAME FORD USE TO HAVE WITH ITS CUSTOMERS. *TR
MY FORD F150 2004 POWER WINDOW REGULATOR BROKE WHILE I WAS DRIVING. NOT ONLY DID IT SCARE ME BECAUSE OF SLAMMING DOWN SO HARD, IT MADE ME SWERVE OFF THE ROAD. THANK GOD I GOT SAFELY OVER, BUT WAS SO SHAKEN I HAD TO WAIT BEFORE PROCEEDING. IT WAS L09 DEGREES THAT DAY AND HAD TO DRIVE WITH THE WINDOW BROKEN AND DOWN. I KNOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM WITH THIS MODEL AND YEAR, WHY HAVEN'T YOU DONE ANYTHING ABOUT THIS. IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED TO ALL CONSUMERS WHO OWN OR GOING TO OWN THIS AUTO. I CAN'T AFFORD TO FIX IT NOW, THEY WANT NEARLY 400.00. I AM SO AFRAID MY TRUCK IS GOING TO GET STOLEN, BUT WHAT CAN I DO? I ALSO WORRY THAT WHEN I PARK MY TRUCK IN A PUBLIC PARKING AREA, THAT SOMEONE MAY EASILY TAKE MY TRUCK WITH ME IN IT!!!!!!!!! *TR
MY WINDOW REGULATOR GAVE OUT FOR THE 3RD TIME THIS YEAR I CANT AFFORD TO PAY $200+ DOLLARS TO REPLACE A PART THAT WONT BE SOLD WITH OUT MOTOR SO THAT THEY CAN CHARGE MORE ON MY 2004 FORD F150 SUPERCREW..... *TR
2004 FORD F-150. SO FAR 3 OUT OF 4 WINDOW REGULATORS HAVE FAILED CAUSING THE WINDOW TO DROP INTO THE DOOR. THIS IS A SECURITY AND SAFETY ISSUE. TWICE THE WINDOWS FAILED WHILE DRIVING. THE REAR WINDOW FAILED WHILE MY YOUNG DAUGHTER WAS IN THE BACK SEAT AND I HAD TO CONTINUE TRAVEL WHILE WIND WAS BLOWING ON HER. MY DRIVER SIDE WINDOW JUST FAILED WHILE DRIVING AND STARTLED ME ENOUGH THAT I ALMOST WRECKED. THIS IS A VERY EXPENSIVE REPAIR AND THE FORD DEALERSHIP EVEN ADMITS THAT A RECALL SHOULD BE ISSUED SINCE THEY HAVE TO DO THIS REPAIR SO OFTEN. *TR
I HAVE 2004 FORD F150 SUPERCREW WITH APPROXIMATELY 73,000 MILES. THREE WINDOWS HAVE FAILED DUE TO BROKEN PLASTIC PARTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE WINDOW REGULATOR. *TR
I PURCHASED A USED 2004 F-150 TRUCK 3-MONTHS AGO AND IT WAS PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY FOR 2-DAYS. UPON OPENING THE DRIVER DOOR I NOTICED THE PASSENGER WINDOW WAS IN THE DOWN POSITION AND WOULD NOT RAISE. MY FORD DEALER INDICATED THE PLASTIC PARTS ON THE REGULATOR HAD FAILED AND DROPPED THE WINDOW INSIDE THE DOOR. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY. NOONE WAS OPENING OR CLOSING THE PASSENGER DOOR OR ATTEMPTING TO RAISE OR LOWER THE WINDOW. HAD THIS HAPPENED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS MOVING OR NEXT TO A PASSENGER, THE RESULTS COULD HAVE BEEN CATASTROPHIC. WHEN I PARK AND LOCK MY TRUCK, I DON'T EXPECT THE WINDOWS TO FALL OUT OR DOWN INTO THE DOORS. THIS THEN BECOMES A PERSONAL SAFETY ISSUE AND PROVIDES AN OPPORTUNITY FOR THEFT OR VANDALISM OF THE VEHICLE. THE PLASTIC PARTS ARE OBVIOUSLY CHEAPER TO USE AND NOT ENGINEERED FOR THE STRESSES ON THEM OR THE WEIGHT OF THE WINDOW. I'M OUT $458.00 IN REPAIR BILLS FOR A SINGLE WINDOW REPAIR. TWO FORD SERVICE ADVISORS I SPOKE WITH SAID THEY HAD NEVER HEARD OF THE PROBLEM ON A FORD. IT'S ALL OVER THE INTERNET BUT THEY HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE OF THE PROBLEM? THERE SHOULD EITHER BE A FORMAL RECALL OR FORD SHOULD MAKE THE REPAIRS AT NO COST AND SUBSTITUTE METAL CLIPS AND PARTS RATHER THAN USING PLASTIC. REIMBURSEMENT FOR PAST REPAIRS SHOULD ALSO BE INCLUDED. I'M THANKFUL MY VEHICLE WAS NEITHER ROBBED OR VANDALIZED AND THAT I DISCOVERED THE PROBLEM BEFORE THE STORM HIT MY AREA. UNDISCOVERED, THERE COULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUS INTERIOR WATER DAMAGE IN ADDITION TO THE WINDOW REPAIR. *TR
I TOOK MY 2004 F-150 TO KERRY FORD LOCATED IN THE CITY OF SPRINGDALE BECAUSE OF A WINDOW PROBLEM I HAD. THE SERVICE DESK ASKED ME IF I WAS AWARE OF THE PROBLEMS WITH THE SPARK PLUGS FOR MY YEAR TRUCK. I TOLD HIM NO, I WASN'T. THE FORD EMPLOYEE STATED THAT SINCE MY MILEAGE WAS AT 89,000, HE STRONGLY SUGGESTED THAT I HAVE MY SPARK PLUGS CHANGED BEFORE I GET ANY CLOSER TO 100,000 MILES. THE EMPLOYEE STATED THAT THE SPARK PLUGS ARE GETTING STUCK IN THE ENGINE OR BREAKING OFF WHILE BEING REPLACED. I WAS TOLD FOR A TUNE UP, IT WOULD BE ROUGHLY $300.00 PLUS AN EXTRA $89.00 FOR EACH SPARK PLUG THAT BREAKS. THE EMPLOYEE STATED THAT THE SPARK PLUG WAS POORLY DESIGNED AND DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH THREADS. THE EMPLOYEE STATED THAT FORD HAS ACCEPTED NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE ISSUE. THE EMPLOYEE INSTRUCTED ME TO GOGGLE, FORD F 150 SPARK PLUG TO VERIFY THAT HE WAS TELLING THE TRUTH. I ASKED THAT YOU DO THE SAME! PEOPLE HAVE SPENT ANY WHERE FROM $300.00-$4500.00 FOR FORDS POOR DESIGN. FORD HAS EVEN DESIGNED A SPECIAL TOOL TO TRY AN ASSIST IN GETTING OUT THE SPARK PLUGS WITHOUT BREAKING THEM. SOME DRIVERS HAVE HAD THEIR SPARK PLUG LITERALLY POP OUT OF THE ENGINE WHILE DRIVING. I DID TAKE MY TRUCK IN FOR SERVICE AFTER REVIEWING ALL THE MATERIAL ON THE INTERNET. I NOW HAVE THE DISTINCTION OF THE WORST HORROR STORY AT KERRY FORD. I WAS TOLD PRIOR TO HAVING MY TRUCK WORKED ON, THAT THEIR TECH HAS HAD DECENT LUCK GETTING THE SPARK PLUGS OUT. KERRY FORD HAD BROKEN MAYBE TWO SPARK PLUGS AT THE MOST. I DROPPED MY TRUCK OFF THE NIGHT BEFORE SERVICE SO THEY COULD SOAK THE PLUGS IN LUBRICANT. AFTER THERE DAYS OF SERVICE, FORD CALLED ME AND STATED THAT 6 OUT OF THE 8 SPARK PLUGS BROKE OFF. FORD HAD TO DRILL OUT THE BROKEN PLUGS TO REMOVE THEM. KERRY FORD DID SHOW ME SOME COMPASSION AND LOWERED THE EXTRA FEE FROM $89.00 TO $39.00 SINCE SO MANY OF MY SPARK PLUGS BROKE OFF. *TR

FOR THE THIRD TIME IN ONE YEAR I HAVE REPLACED THE REGULATOR/MOTOR ON THREE DIFFERENT WINDOWS. I WAS ON THE INTERSTATE AT THE TIME AND WAS STARTLED WHEN IT HAPPENED. IT CONCERNS ME THAT THIS CONTINUES TO HAPPEN AND I AM GLAD I AM GENERALLY CALM SO IT DID NOT CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. *TR

I HAVE A 2004 FORD F150 AND THE WINDOW SUDDENLY DROPPED AND KNOW FORD IS TELLING ME THAT I HAVE TO PAY $450 TO FIX MY WINDOW REGULATOR. THE MOTOR STILL WORKS BUT THEY ARE MAKING ME BUY THE REGULATOR AND MOTOR. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME OR MY OTHER FRIENDS THAT HAVE FORD TRUCKS. I WAS DRIVING MY 2004 F150 WHEN THE PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW DISAPPEARED I THOUGHT THE WINDOW WAS SHOT OUT BY A GUN AND JUST ABOUT CRASHED INTO OTHER CARS ON THE FREE WAY THIS IS JUST JUNK IF THEY FALL DOWN AT WILL. *TR

2004 F-150 3 OF THE 4 POWER WINDOW REGULATORS HAVE FAILED. TWO WITHIN A 5 DAY PERIOD WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED. THE WINDOWS FALL TO THE BOTTOM INTO THE DOOR, THIS COULD BE A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION IF A CHILD OR PET HAD BEEN LEANING ON THESE WINDOWS. I DEMAND A RECALL AS I UNDERSTAND THOUSANDS OF THESE REGULATORS HAVE FAILED AND I WANT THIS SITUATION RESOLVED BEFORE SOMEONE IS SERIOUSLY INJURED OR KILLED. *TR
WINDOW REGULATOR FAILURE, I HAVE A 2004 FORD F-150 WITH 45000 MILES ON IT, SO FAR I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE 4 WINDOW REGULATORS @ $500 A POP, THE 5TH ONE WENT OUT TODAY. I WASN'T EVEN USING THE WINDOW, JUST DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY AND BANG! A LOUD NOISE I THOUGHT SOMETHING HIT THE TRUCK, THEN I LOOKED BACK AND THE WINDOW HAD FALLEN. TALK ABOUT ECONOMIC LOSS. FORD DOESN'T SEEM TO CARE. THIS IS A HAZARD AS WELL, WHAT HAS TO HAPPEN DO YOU HAVE TO HAVE A SMALL CHILD OR PET COULD FALL OUT AND GET KILLED. 2004 FORD F150. ELECTRIC WINDOWS WILL FALL DOWN INTO DOORS. PASSENGER AND DRIVER SIDE WINDOW HAVE FALLEN WITHIN 5 MONTHS. 32,000 MILES. HAVE TO REPLACE CABLES THAT HOLD WINDOWS. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT BOTH REAR WINDOW REGULATORS WERE BROKEN. HE REPLACED ONE PREVIOUSLY AT HIS OWN EXPENSE AND NOW THE OTHER ONE WAS BROKEN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 38,000.

NOW MY WINDOW WONT ROLL UP AND THE CABLE ON THE MAIN PULLEY IS WRAPPED AROUND THE PULLEY AXLE AND IS KINKED IN SEVERAL PLACES. 3. I AM HAVING TO BUY A WHOLE NEW REGULATOR AND MAYBE EVEN A NEW MOTOR FOR MY DOOR JUST SO I CAN KEEP THE WATER AND BUGS OUT OF MY TRUCK AND THE AIR IN. *TR
I HAVE A FORD F-150 THAT THE RIGHT REAR WINDOW AND SLIDING ELECTRICAL WINDOW HAVE FAILED. THE DEALERSHIP WANTS TO CHARGE ME ALMOST $800.00 TO FIX IT. THE BIGGEST COST IS SUPPOSEDLY THE LABOR FOR THE REAR SLIDING WINDOW. AS I REVIEWED THE COMPLAINTS IT IS QUITE OBVIOUS THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM. POWER WINDOWS BREAKING. DRIVER WINDOW MADE A LOUD POP AND WINDOW FELL INSIDE DOOR. 1 WEEK LATER THE SAME THING HAPPENED ON PASSENGER SIDE AFTER WINDOW STARTED TO MAKE A GRINDING NOISE. THREE OF THE FOUR WINDOW REGULATORS HAVE BROKE CAUSING SAFETY AND SECURITY ISSUES. THE PARTS ARE EXPENSIVE AND DEFECTIVE. THE MALFUNCTION OCCURS WHEN DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD OR EVEN WHEN THE VEHICLE IS PARKED. WE HEAR A POPPING NOISE LIKE SOMEBODY THREW SOMETHING AT THE TRUCK AND THEN THE WINDOW FALLS INTO THE DOOR. WE HAVE THREE YOUNG CHILDREN AND THIS POSES A LARGE SAFETY RISK TO THEM. THESE PARTS ARE OBVIOUSLY DEFECTIVE AND SHOULD BE REPLACED BY FORD MOTOR COMPANY FOR FREE. *TR
PASSENGER REAR WINDOW FELL DOWN INTO THE DOOR WHILE PARKED. PUSHING THE SWITCH TO BOTH UP AND DOWN DID NOT ACCOMPLISH ANYTHING. INSPECTION OF THE PROBLEM SEEMS TO INDICATE THAT THE REGULATOR HAS BROKEN. BY REVIEWING THE INTERNET, IT APPEARS THAT THIS IS A RECURRING PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE. THERE WAS NO INDICATION THAT THE PART MIGHT FAIL. ITS TOTAL FAILURE WAS THE FIRST INDICATION OF ANY PROBLEM. I WILL TAKE TO THE DEALER TO HAVE IT FIXED AND RETAIN THE OLD PARTS. *TR
I HAVE A 2004 F150 SUPERCREW. I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE NEW. I HAVE REPLACED THE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR ON 3 OF THE 4 WINDOWS AFTER IMMEDIATE AND CATASTROPHIC FAILURE. WITHOUT WARNING, THE REGULATOR FAILS AND THE WINDOW SIMPLY PLUMMETS INTO THE DOOR. IT HAS BEEN A MIRACLE THE GLASS HAS NEVER SHATTERED IT FALLS SO HARD. ONCE IT HAPPENED WHEN CLOSING A DOOR, ONCE WHILE TRAVELING DOWN THE HIGHWAY, AND A THIRD TIME WHILE SITTING IN THE DRIVEWAY OVERNIGHT. MY 4TH REGULATOR JUST FAILED YESTERDAY WHILE DRIVING IN TOWN. IT WOULD BE VERY EASY TO IMAGINE A SITUATION WHERE THIS WOULD PRESENT A VERY SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE. INCLEMENT WEATHER ALL OF A SUDDEN BEING BLOWN INTO THE CAB. CHILDREN OR PETS SITTING NEXT TO THE WINDOW WHEN IT FAILS, MATERIALS FROM INSIDE THE CAB BEING BLOWN OUT, ETC. NOT TO MENTION THE POTENTIAL THEFT ISSUE WHEN IT OCCURS JUST SITTING IN A PARKING LOT OR ON THE STREET. FORD SHOULD RECALL THESE WINDOW REGULATORS AND REIMBURSE EVERYONE WHO HAS HAD TO DEAL WITH FAULTY REGULATORS SINCE THE PROBLEM FIRST CAME TO LIGHT. I AM LISTING THE LAST INCIDENT AS THE "DATE" BUT THEY HAVE BEEN FAILING AT A PACE OF EVERY 6 - 18 MONTHS. *TR

I PARKED MY 04 F150 IN A PUBLIC PARKING LOT, LOCKED IT, AND SHUT THE DOOR. I HEARD A POPPING SOUND, TURNED AROUND AND MY DRIVERS SIDE PASSENGER WINDOW WAS DOWN. I OPENED THE PASSENGER DOOR, AND THE WINDOW HAD FALLEN DOWN IN THE DOOR. I TRIED TO ROLL IT UP AND IT DID NOTHING BUT MAKE A GRINDING NOISE. FROM WHAT I'VE READ, IT HAS HAPPENED TO COUNTLESS FORD PICK UPS. I CAN'T AFFORD TO FIX YET, SO I HAVE A PIECE OF WOOD WEDGED IN THE DOOR TO HOLD THE WINDOW IN PLACE. THERE REALLY SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THIS DEFECT. *TR
2004 FORD F150 POWER WINDOWS (REGULATOR) FAIL. THERE IS A "POP" AND THEN THEY SIMPLY FREE FALL INTO THE DOOR. 3 OUT OF 4 WINDOWS HAVE FAILED. THE FIRST 2 YEARS AGO, THE OTHER 2 IN THE LAST 4 MONTHS. A QUICK INTERNET SEARCH SHOWS THIS IS AN EXTREMELY COMMON PROBLEM. THE NUMBER OF FAILURES INDICATES A FAULTY DESIGN RATHER THAN ROUTINE WEAR AND MAINTENANCE. FORD SHOULD COVER REPLACEMENT/REPAIR COST. *TR
DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW FELL DOWN INTO THE DOOR WHILE DRIVING. IT COST $373.60 TO FIX THE WINDOW REGULATOR ASSEMBLY. FORD WOULD NOT PAY FOR THE REPAIR. RESEARCH ON THE INTERNET PROVES THIS TO BE A FAIRLY COMMON PROBLEM WITH F-150'S. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 FORD F150. WHILE THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 62 MPH, THE ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED WITH A SLIGHT LOSS OF ENGINE POWER. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THEY STATED THAT ONE OR MORE OF THE SPARK PLUGS DETACHED FROM THE ENGINE. THE VEHICLE WAS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING REPAIRED AT AN ESTIMATED COST OF $600. THE CONTACT HAD CONCERN OF A POTENTIAL FIRE HAZARD DUE TO THE DEFECT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 140,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
MY 2004 FORD F150 DRIVER SIDE FRONT WINDOW QUIT MOVING UP AND DOWN WITH USE OF THE BUTTON. IT STILL MAKES NOISE, BUT DOES MOVE. THE WINDOW DOES MOVE DOWN ON ITS OWN, WHENEVER IT WANTS TO. AFTER RESEARCHING THE PROBLEM ON "GOOGLE", APPARENTLY, IT IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS YEAR AND MODEL OF TRUCK. I CONTACTED FORD, AND GOT THE RUNNAROUND ABOUT THEM NOT KNOWING OF ANY ISSUES LIKE THIS ONE. THEY WILL NOT FIX IT, UNLESS SOMEONE MAKES THEM PUT OUT A RECALL. I DO NOT HAVE NEAR ENOUGH MONEY TO FIX THIS RIGHT NOW AND AM WORRIED ABOUT IT FALLING DOWN WHILE DRIVING, ESPECIALLY IN BAD WEATHER. IT ALSO MAKES IT VERY EASY FOR SOMEONE TO BREAK INTO MY TRUCK. *TR
4TH POWER WINDOW FAILURE ON FORD F150. WINDOWS JUST DROPPED. *TR
AS I PULLED OUT OF THE PARKING LOT AT MY JOB I HEARD MY PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW SLIDE DOWN INTO THE DOOR. THIS IS THE SECOND WINDOW ON MY TRUCK THAT THIS HAS HAPPEN TOO. IM SURE IT WONT BE VERY LONG BEFORE THE BACK TWO WINDOWS HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. IN ORDER TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM (WHICH IS THE REGULATOR THAT BREAKS) I HAD TO TAKE MY VEHICLE TO THE LOCAL DEALER TO GET IT REPAIRED. THE COST FOR REPAIR WAS $350.00 PLUS DOLLARS. AS I AM A HARD WORKING PARENT IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO HAVE TO SPEND MONEY IN THESE TOUGH ECONOMIC TIMES ON A PROBLEM THAT FORD SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR. DRIVER & PASSENGER WINDOWS FELL DOWN INTO THE DOOR WHILE DRIVING ON 2 SEPARATE OCCASIONS. JUST HEARD A LOUD CRACK WHEN THE WINDOW GAVE OUT AND DROPPED WITH FULL FORCE INTO THE DOOR. WAS ON A TRIP DRIVING THROUGH RAIN/HAIL STORM WHEN PASSENGER WINDOW GAVE OUT. FORD WILL NOT REPLACE AS IT IS OUT OF WARRANTY AND NEW PARTS ORDERED AND REPLACED. *TR
I HAVE A 2004 FORD F-150 LARIAT. I WAS DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY AT 60 MILES PER HOUR WHEN THE DRIVER SIDE WINDOW FELL INTO THE DOOR ALL BY ITSELF - I HAD NOT HIT THE WINDOW SWITCH. I TOOK THE DOOR APART AND FOUND THAT THE WINDOW REGULATOR WAS DAMAGED IN THAT THE PLASTIC CLIPS HOLDING THE CABLE HAD BROKEN. INSPECTION OF THE CLIPS INDICATE THAT THEY ARE WOEFULLY UNDERDESIGNED TO HANDLE THE STRESS FROM THE WEIGHT OF THE WINDOW AND THE FORCE PUT ON THEM FROM THE TORQUE OF THE WINDOW MOTOR. AS STATED, THIS HAPPENED AT 60 MPH JUST AS IT WAS STARTING TO RAIN. I WAS ABLE TO GET TO SHELTER BEFORE THE SERIOUS RAIN FELL, BUT HAD THIS HAPPENED DURING A SERIOUS RAINSTORM, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. RESEARCH ON-LINE INDICATES THAT THIS IS A VERY COMMON FAILURE AND HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE THE INTRODUCTION OF THE 2004 MODEL. I CONTACTED FORD AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY WILL DO NOTHING TO FIX AS THEY HAVE NOT BEEN REQUIRED TO RECALL BY NHTSA. RIDING DOWN THE ROAD AND HEARD A LOUD POP. AFTERWARDS, MY PASSENGER WINDOW BEGAN TO SLIDE DOWN. MY SON DRIVES THE SAME MODEL 2004 F-150 FORD TRITON XLT TRUCK AND IT WAS THE WINDOW REGULATOR. APPROX. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THE SAFETY SEATS ARE ANY DIFFERENT THEN THE POSSIBILITY OF FLYING GLASS FROM A DEFECTIVE WINDOW. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL ON THIS. REAR DRIVER SIDE WINDOW (SUPERCREW F150) FELL INTO DOOR AFTER WINDOW REGULATOR CABLE SYSTEM FAILED WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE STREET. THE WINDOW MOTOR WAS NOT BEING OPERATED AT THE TIME OF INCIDENT. *TR
2004 FORD F150 W/ ADJUSTABLE PEDALS - AFTER A FEW YEARS USE, THE BRAKE LIGHTS DO NOT WORK PROPERLY. THE LIGHTS WILL COME ON, BUT ONLY UNDER EXTREME DECELERATION, HOPEFULLY. THE LIGHTS WILL RESET IF THE BRAKE SWITCH IS UNPLUGGED AND PLUGGED BACK IN WITH VEHICLE RUNNING, BUT THEN WILL CONTINUE TO ACT UNRELIABLY AFTER A FEW DAYS OF USE. THE BRAKES CONTINUE TO WORK ALONG WITH THE SWITCH TO REPOSITION THE AUTOMATIC SHIFTER FROM OUT OF PARK, BUT THE BRAKE LIGHTS ARE COMPLETELY UNRELIABLE. I VISIT AN OFFICIAL FORD F150 FORUM WITH MANY OTHER MEMBERS THAT SEVERAL OTHERS ARE STARTING TO NOTICE THAT THEIR TRUCKS ARE DOING THE SAME THING. REPLACING THE "BRAKE SWITCH" RECOMMENDED BY FORD DID NOT CORRECT THIS PROBLEM. THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN REPORTED ON THE FORUM BY MEMBERS WITH 2005 AND 2006 MODELS AS WELL. *TR
THE WINDOW REGULATORS FAILED ON 3 OF THE 4 WINDOWS ON OUR 2004 FORD F150 TRUCK CAUSING THE WINDOWS TO FALL ABRUPTLY AND DROP DOWN INTO THE DOOR PANELS. THE WINDOWS NO LONGER STAY UP AT ALL AND THERE IS NO WAY TO PROP THEM UP INTERNALLY. THE WINDOWS NOW LEAK WHEN IT RAINS. YOU CANNOT GO OVER A POTHOLE, BUMP OR EVEN GO THE SPEED LIMIT ON THE HIGHWAY WITHOUT THE WINDOWS FALLING DOWN AGAIN. *TR
DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW REGULATOR FAILED, WINDOW 'FELL' WHILE VEHICLE IN MOTION. ELECTRIC WINDOW NOW IS INOPERABLE. FORD WILL NOT FIX UNDER WARR, OR RECALL. PART IF VERY EXPENSIVE AND NOT A RE-DESIGNED PART, STILL ORIGINAL EQUIP, FAULTY DESIGN. I CANNOT AND WILLNOT PUT THE SAME TYPE OF PART BACK IN, SO MY WINDOW HAS BEEN MADE TO STAY IN THE UPRIGHT POSITION. I BELIEVE IT'S A SAFETY HAZARD TO NOT BE ABLE TO HAVE A FUNCTIONING WINDOW. I STARTED TO GET A VIBRATION IN THE REAR OF THE TRUCK AT 45 MPH. I HAD JUST REPLACED THE TIRES NOT LONG BEFORE AND THOUGHT THEY MIGHT BE OUT OF BALANCE. THEY ARE NOT. THEY HAVE BEEN CHECKED MANY MULTIPLE TIMES AND ROTATED. THE PROBLEM STILL EXIST. THE DEALER DOESN'T KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS AND CLAIMS IT'S NOT THE DIFFERENTIAL OR REAR AXLE. I HAVE REPLACED THE BEARINGS, SEALS, GEAR LUBE AND REAR SHOCKS. NOW THERE IS A KNOCKING SOUND COMING FROM THE REAR END. IT IS A 4X2 AND HAS NOT BEEN DRIVEN HARD. THE VIBRATION, WHICH WAS ANNOYING AT FIRST, HAS PROGRESSIVELY GOTTEN WORSE. THE WHOLE BED OF THE TRUCK SHAKES WHEN I HIT 45 TILL ABOUT 55.*TR
