MY 2004 FORD F-150 HAS 61,000 MILES AND NO RUST ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. I'VE KEPT THE TRUCK WELL MAINTAINED AND IT LOOKS ALMOST NEW. THE FRAME HOWEVER RIGHT WHERE THE REAR LEAF SPRING ATTACHES TO THE FRAME IS RUSTED RIGHT THROUGH. IT IS INCREDIBLE THAT THIS HAS NOT BEEN RECALLED AS OF YET. HOPEFULLY IT WILL BE RECALLED. WHILE DRIVING A PART OF THE EXHAUST HEAT SHIELD FELL ONTO THE DRIVESHAFT. WHEN I WENT TO INSPECT THE UNDERSIDE I FOUND A HOLE IN THE FRAME AND I WAS ABLE TO PUT MY FINGER RIGHT THROUGH IT. *DT CONSUMER STATED ONE IMPORTANT FACT THAT I FORGOT TO ADD TO MY COMPLAINT IS THE SECTION OF THE FRAME THAT RUSTED THROUGH HAS THE EXACT SAME ISSUE IN THE SAME SPOT ON BOTH THE PASSENGER FRAME RAIL AS WELL AS THE DRIVER'S SIDE FRAME RAIL. THE 2004 FORD ESCAPE WAS RECALLED FOR SIMILAR ISSUES THAT YEAR BUT IN THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. MY TRUCK HAS ONLY 61,000 MILES ON IT AND FROM FORUMS AND POSTS I'VE READ IT SEEMS TO BE A MAJOR ISSUE FOR THAT YEAR VEHICLE.*JB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL HESITATED WHEN DEPRESSED. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE MADE AN ABNORMAL PUTTERING SOUND WHILE IN DRIVE. IN ADDITION, THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FAILED. THE SPARK PLUGS WERE CHANGED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE SPARK PLUGS SHOULD NOT BE TOUCHED BECAUSE THEY WERE FORD CERTIFIED SPARK PLUGS AND TEAR EASILY. A SPECIAL ONSITE FORD MECHANIC REPAIRED THE SPARK PLUGS. THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL AND STALLING FAILURES WERE NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 233,000.

ELECTRICAL FIRE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE AFTER VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF WHILE PUMPING GAS.

WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS BEING SERVICED AT JIM TRENARY FORD (LOCATED AT 255 JOHN DEERE DR, MOSCOW MILLS, MO 63362, (636) 356-9000), THE TECHNICIAN NOTICED THAT THE FRAME WAS SPLIT COMPLETELY IN HALF AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE TECHNICIAN INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE COULD NOT BE DRIVEN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200,000.
FRAME OF TRUCK IS COMPLETELY RUSTED ALL THE WAY THRU AT REAR LEAF SPRING ATTACHMENT POINTS. THIS WILL CAUSE A TOTAL FAILURE OF THE REAR SUSPENSION AND DRIVE TRAIN.
2004 FORD F-150 ENGINE IS BAD. THE 5.4 LITER ENGINE. I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE USED 3 YEARS AGO AND NOW THE ENGINE IS RUINED. MY HUSBAND RESEARCHED AND ALSO CONSULTED WITH SEVERAL MECHANICS AND FOUND THAT THESE ENGINES WERE KNOWN FOR THE CAM PHASERS GOING BAD SO FORD STOPPED PUTTING THIS ENGINE IN THE VEHICLES IN 2007. THE LAST TIME I DROVE THIS VEHICLE AA I WAS MAKING A RIGHT TURN, THE TRUCK CUT OFF ON ME IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD WHICH IS VERY DANGEROUS. WE OWE $8,000 ON THIS FORD WHICH IS NOW NO FOOD. SITS IN OUR YARD. WE WANT ACTION. FORD NEEDS TO STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT.
THE MAIN FRAME RAILS( THAT RUN FROM FRONT BACK) HAVE AN EXTRA CLADDING THAT IS WELDED TO THE MAIN FRAME RAILS. THIS AREA I AM REFERRING TO IS WHERE A CROSS MEMBER( HOLDING THE WEIGHT OF THE REAR ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION) IS WELDED TO THE CLADDING AND THE TWO MAIN FRAME RAILS. THE CLADDING WAS NOT COMPLETELY WELDED SO WATER HAS GOTTEN BETWEEN THE CLADDING AND MAIN FRAME RAILS CAUSING SEVERE CORROSION AND FAILURE OF THAT CONNECTION POINT. EVEN THOUGH IT COULD BE SAID I TAKE EXTREMELY GOOD CARE OF MY VEHICLES THIS AREA SUDDENLY PRESENTED AS A BULGE AND SUBSEQUENT DISCOVERY OF AN EXTREME FAILURE. THIS CONSISTENT FAILURE HAPPENED ON BOTH FRAME RAIL CONNECTION POINTS. I FEEL THAT THIS FAILURE WILL BE OVERLOOKED AS IT WAS WITH ME ....AND COULD CAUSE FRAME FAILURE CAUSING PUBLIC HARM.
THIS 2004 FORD F 150 THAT I HAVE DRIVEN SINCE NEW AS I AM ABOUT TO MERGE WITH TRAFFIC TO GET ON THE XWAY BEGAN TO REV UP ENGINE . I REMOVE MY FOOT AWAY FROM THE GAS TO SEE THAT THE %$#&* IS GOING ON. PAT THE GAS THINKING " STUCK" STILL REVING UP NOW I AM OVER 60. I USE MY HEELS TO SEE IF MAT OR SOME OBJECT MAY HAVE FALL DOWN. NO ! WITH FOOT STILL ON BRAKE AND ENGINE RPM IN RED I AM THINKING " WHAT THE NEXT THING TO DO " THIS TRUCK IS NOT COMING DOWN TO IDLING . COME TO ME " FOOL PUT IN NEUTRAL ". I DID . STILL RPM IN RED. I AM THINKING " TURN OFF IGNITION" . BUT AT HE SAME TIME THINKING CAN YOU . IT WORKED. I PLACED THE TRUCK IN PARK THEN CRANKED UP AND DROVE OF BUT I CAN NOT WAIT TO HAVE THIS F 150 TAKEN IN. I FLY A TURBO PROP AND AS A STUDENT PILOT I NEVER WISH THIS ON ANY ONE IN AIR OR ON THE GROUND....ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN !! I AM THINKING BACK SEVERAL DECADES AGO SUCH WAS BIG IN THE NEWS. PERSONAL WITH A 1983 380 SL TOOK ME THROUGH THIS BUT THE ACCELERATION WAS MUCH SLOWER BUT NEVER AT SUCH A FRIGHTING SPEED

THIS A.M. AS I ENTERED MY DRIVEWAY, A NEIGHBOR STOPPED ME TO TALK. I STOPPED AND ROLLED DOWN MY WINDOW. HE WENT ON AND ON. SUDDENLY, MY TRUCK ACCELERATED AT FULL THROTTLE TOWARD MY GARAGE 70 FEET AWAY. MY FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKE TO NO AVAIL. I TURNED SLIGHTLY TO THE RIGHT AND HIT THE CORNER OF THE GARAGE. THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. MY GLASSES WENT FLYING. I WAS NOT HURT. A TREE HAD SOFTEN THE IMPACT. I WAS SEVERELY SHAKEN. MY BLOOD PRESSURE WAS ELEVATED. FORD MOTOR COMPANY IS NOT HELPFUL. MY INSURANCE COMPANY, GEICO, IS HANDLING THE ISSUE.
ON SEPTEMBER 16, 20018 I WAS INVOLVED IN A TRAFFIC COLLUSION. MY VEHICLE WAS IMPACTED ENOUGH FOR A TOTAL LOSS. MY AIRBAGS NEVER DEPLOYED.IN THE ATTACHED POLICE REPORT I AM VEHICLE 2, I WAS HEADING FROM NORTH TO SOUTH ON OWENSMOUTH STREET, VEHICLE 1 WAS TRAVELING FROM WEST TO EAST ON VICTORY. I WAS WAITING AT A RED LIGHT. ANOTHER VEHICLE (VEHICLE 3)WAS WAITING AT THE RED LIGHT NEXT TO ME. WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN I BEGAN TO DRIVE AND THE VEHICLE 1 TRAVELING EAST ON VICTORY RAN A RED LIGHT AND SLAMMED INTO THE FRONT OF MY VEHICLE. MY AIRBAG NEVER WENT OFF AND I NOW SUFFER FROM EXTREME PAIN IN MY RIGHT RIB, LEFT HIP, MAJOR HEADACHES AND VERY SEVERE NECK PAIN.

MAJOR HIGHLIGHTING POINTS: - PREMATURE FRAME CORROSION AND RUST. - MECHANIC INFORMED ME THAT THE FRAME ON THE REAR HALF. - RUSTED AND CRACKED UNDER BED AND REAR WHEEL WELLS - FRAME WOULD NO LONGER SUPPORT WEIGHT OF VEHICLE - RUST THRU HOLES AND LONGITUDINAL CRACKS FORMED ON THE BOTTOM AND SIDE FRAME SURFACES AT THE STRESS POINT BEFORE THE REAR WHEEL BEND. - EXTREMELY UNUSUAL, TRUCK HAS BEEN GENERALLY BEEN GARAGE KEPT AND MAINTAINED IN GOOD MECHANICAL CONDITION. - THE EXTERIOR BODY DOES NOT EXHIBITS SPOTS OR SURFACE RUST ON VISIBLE BODY PANELS. - NO EVIDENT SIGNS OF RUST OR DEGRADATION OF STRUCTURE. - METICULOUSLY MAINTAINED VEHICLE OTHERWISE. (NEW TRANSMISSION, DRIVE SHAFT, ENGINE RETIMED, SPRAY BED LINER, ETC.) - CATASTROPHIC FAILURE OF THE FRAME STRUCTURE WAS IMMINENT AND THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NO LONGER SAFE TO DRIVE. - CANNOT BE REPAIRED AND IS UNSAFE. - CANNOT PASS A STATE SAFETY INSPECTION. - CANNOT EVEN BE PUT ON A LIFT BECAUSE IT HAS NO STRUCTURAL STRENGTH.
BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER LOST FLUID. LEAK WAS INTO THE BRAKE VACUUM BOOSTER. COULD CAUSE LOSS OF BRAKES IF IT OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING.
THE FRAME IS TOTALLY RUSTED THROUGH.
THE TRUCK WAS TAKEN INTO MECHANIC. THE MECHANIC PUT IT UP, AND SAW THAT ENTIRE FRAME WAS RUSTED. IT IS NOT FIXABLE. CONTACTED JOHN LANCE FORD, WHERE IT WAS PURCHASED. THEY ADVISED TO TAKE TRUCK TO NEAREST FORD DEALER. WE TOOK IT TO FORD IN PORT CLINTON, OHIO. THE SERVICE MANAGER TOOK PICTURES AND SENT IT TO CORPORATE OFFICE. IT HAS BEEN LONGER THAN 6 WEEKS, AND HAVE NOT HEARD BACK.
BRAKE PEDAL FADES TO FLOOR REPLACED ABS SAME PROBLEM. NOTICED A LOT OF F150 HAVING BRAKE PROBLEMS. FORD SHOULD STEP UP SAY WE HAVE A PROBLEM. FORDMAN BUT GETTING PISSED OFF. MAY TRY TOYOTA.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT LOOKED UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE AND NOTICED THAT THE ENTIRE BOTTOM OF THE FRAME WAS RUSTED. THE DEALER (LIBERTY FORD, 9311 LIBERTY RD, RANDALLSTOWN, MD 21133, 410-504-2897) WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THE FRAMES WERE ABSOLUTE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 78,000.
MY 2004 F-150 SHIFT CABLE BROKE AS I ATTEMPTED TO PUT IT IN PARK. THIS RENDERED THE VEHICLE UNABLE TO BE PUT IN PARK AND IT ROLLED BACKWARDS. THE REASON IT BROKE WAS BECAUSE OF IT RESTING AGAINST THE BOTTOM OF THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD WHERE IT JOINS TO THE WYE PIPE ON THE DRIVER SIDE. IT BURNT THE CABLE CAUSING IT TO BREAK. THE NEXT MODEL YEAR IN 2005 THIS WAS CHANGED AS FORD REDESIGNED AND RELOCATED IT TO EXIT IN A COMPLETELY SPOT. THE HOLE THAT IT EXITS THRU IN 2004 IS PLUGGED OFF IN THE 2005 MODEL. IT WOULD SEEM THAT THIS WAS DONE DUE TO MULTIPLE INSTANCES OF WARRANTY CLAIMS AND POSSIBLE LAWSUITS ARRISING FROM THIS DANGEROUS DESIGN.
WHEN DRIVING ABS LIGHT COMES ON AND THE BRAKES WON'T WORK PROPERLY

ONCE THE VEHICLE WAS PLACED ON A LIFT, THE MECHANIC NOTICED THAT THE MAIN RAILS THAT SUPPORT THE FRAME AND THE FRAME OF THE VEHICLE HAD EXTENSIVE RUST. THE FAILURE COULD CAUSE THE STRUCTURE TO POTENTIALLY FRACTURE OR DISINTEGRATE. THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THAT THE FRAME NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN AND FAILURE MILEAGE WERE NOT AVAILABLE.
HERCULES TIRE RECALL 15T011000 INCLUDED ALL TRAC A/T TIRES OF VARIOUS SIZES FOR TREAD SEPARATION BUT NOT MY SIZE. MY SIZE TIRES 275/65R18 HAVE PLENTY OF TREAD HOWEVER ARE SUDDENLY SHOWING SIGNS OF TREAD SEPARATION ON ALL FOUR TIRES. HERCULES WAS CONTACTED AND THEY SAID MY TIRES ARE OUT OF WARRANTY.
TAKATA RECALL, I WAS PARKING MY TRUCK IN A PARKING LOT, I STARTED THE ENGINE AND PUT IT ON R, WHEN I HEARD PARKING SENSORS SOUND I PUSHED THE BRAKE, PUT TRUCK DIDN'T STOP AND THERE WAS NO BRAKE. I PUT IT TO N THEN D TO MOVE IT FORWARD AFTER TOUCH FOR THE CAR BEHIND ME. WHEN I PUT IT TO D , THE PEDAL HANGED AND ENGINE WENT CRAZY TO 4000 RPM AND TRUCK CAME LIKE WILD HORSE WITH NO CONTROL, IT CROSSED THE PARKING LOT AND HIT ANOTHER CAR WAS PARKING IN FRONT OF ME IN THE OTHER PARKING LOT. AFTER HITTING THE CAR IN FRONT, I SUCCEEDED TO PUT IT ON P AND TURN THE ENGINE OFF. THIS CRAZY SUDDEN INCREASE IN RPM AND PEDAL STICK AND LOOSEN BRAKES ALL IN ONE SECOND WITH OUT ANY WARNING COULD KILL SOMEONE. LOOSING CONTROL IN SUCH TRUCK FOR SECONDS IS SOMETHING SCARY AND UNBELIEVABLE. PLEASE CHECK THIS GAS STICK AND BREAK SUDDEN FAILURE ISSUE , AS IT IS REALLY DANGEROUS. AFTER THE ACCIDENT, THE TRUCK RETURNED TO NORMAL OPERATION WITHOUT A SIGN FOR THAT INSTANCE CRAZY FAILURE.

TRUCK WAS SOLD WITH DEFECTIVE PARTS ON THE DRIVER SIDE OF VEHICLE. STEERING KNUCKLE, ABS SENSORS, ETC. HAVING TO BE REPLACED 2 WEEKS AFTER BUYING. REPAIR SHOP SAID VEHICLE WAS NOT MAINTAINED, SOLD IN THIS CONDITION WHEN IT COULD'VE BEEN NOTICED AND FIXED. WHILE DRIVING A WEEK AFTER PURCHASE TRUCK LOST STEERING AND BRAKING FUNCTIONALITY ON THE HIGHWAY AND HAD TO BE PULLED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD.. TOWED TO MECHANIC, OILS NOT BE DRIVEN
TL THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 FORD F-150. AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE AND ENGAGING THE GEAR SHIFTER FROM PARK TO DRIVE, THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG SPONTANEOUSLY DEPLOYED WITHOUT WARNING OR IMPACT. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE HEAD AND FACE, WHICH DID NOT REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE FRONT AND REAR SEAT PASSENGERS WERE NOT INJURED. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 FORD F-150. ACCORDING TO THE VEHICLE OWNER'S MANUAL, THE IGNITION KEY HAD TO BE USED TO OPEN A LOCK IN THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE TO ACCESS THE SPARE TIRE. THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT THE LOCK WAS ROTTED OUT AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALER (BETTEN BAKER FORD IN LUDINGTON, MICHIGAN) DIAGNOSED THAT THE LOCK TO THE SPARE TIRE WAS CORRODED AND A SPECIAL TOOL NEEDED TO BE USED TO REMOVE THE CYLINDER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS INVALID. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 73,000.
HORRIBLE VIBRATION IN REAR END OF TRUCK WHEN LEAVING FROM A STOP AND TURNING.

MY VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE ORIGINAL OR EXPANDED RECALL; HOWEVER, IT IS NOW EXHIBITING THE SAME PROBLEM; AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT FLASHES TWICE X FIVE TIMES, THEN REMAINS ON. POSSIBLE CLOCKSPRING JUMPER WIRE CHAFING. WEAR COULD CAUSE ELECTRICAL SHORT AND UNEXPECTED AIRBAG INFLATION WHILE DRIVING. THIS FIRST OCCURRED ABOUT TEN DAYS AGO, BUT THEN THE VEHICLE SAT IN THE DRIVEWAY FOR EIGHT DAYS. CURRENT MILEAGE IS 115544. TODAY I CALLED FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WAS INFORMED THERE WAS NO WARRANTY ACTION OR ACTIVE RECALL THAT WOULD COVER THIS INVESTIGATION AND REPAIR. I BELIEVE THE RECALL SHOULD BE FURTHER EXPANDED TO COVER THIS INCIDENT. IT BEGAN WITH VEHICLES MADE AT THE NORFOLK VA PLANT.

THE MANIFOLD SPLIT AND CAUSED MY VEHICLE TO STALL WHILE COMPLETING A RIGHT HAND TURN. THE TRUCK DOESN'T WANT TO DRIVE STARTING FROM A LIGHT OR STOP SIGN. THE TRUCK IS EXTREMELY LOUD. WANTS TO STALL WHILE SITTING AT A RED LIGHT OR STOP SIGN.
PREMATURE FRAME ROT. I TOOK MY TRUCK TO A WELDER AFTER FAILING MY STATE SAFETY INSPECTION BECAUSE OF FRAME ROT. THE WELDER SAID HE HAS WORKED ON HUNDREDS OF FRAMES FOR 2004 F150'S. FORD KNOWS IT'S A PROBLEM BUT WON'T FIX IT. NHTSA WON'T DO AN INVESTIGATION. THE U.S. LOVES TO MAKE THE WORKING MAKE CARRY THE LOAD! EXCESSIVE SHAKING AT 40 MPH+ , TRANS FAULT LIGHT CAME ON & OFF . TROUBLE USING REVERSE WOULD JERK & SLIP. HAVE REPLACED MANY PARTS RECENTLY
MY TRUCKS FRAME HAS RUSTED OUT FROM THE CAB CORNERS TO THE REAR PART OF THE FRAME RAILS. FORD MOTOR COMPANY WONT DO ANYTHING ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS HAVE BEEN FILED, YET THEY WONT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. IM NOT SELLING MY TRUCK BECAUSE ITS A RARE VERSION OF THE 04 NEW STYLE F-150. THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS PROBLEM THAT PEOPLE CAN DIE FROM AND FORD WONT BACK THEM UP ON THE 04-08 TRUCKS.
2004 FORD F150. VEHICLE SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING WITH A BOAT IN TOW AND WOULD NOT RE START. HAD TO HAVE VEHICLE TOWED. DEALER DIAGNOSED AS FAILED FUEL PUMP DRIVER MODULE. I WAS STRANDED IN TRAFFIC, VERY DANGEROUS. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH FORD F150 2004-2008. THE MODULE CORRODES AND CAUSES A SHORT CIRCUIT THAT BLOWS THE FUSE TO THE PCM AND RESULTS IN TOTAL FAILURE OF THE PCM, THUS RENDERING THE VEHICLE INOPERABLE. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL ITEM!!!

THE FRAME ON MY TRUCK HAS SPLIT IN HALF ALWAYS BEEN TAKEN CARE OF. IVE HAD IT FOR 6 YEARS AND IT BEEN GOOD. UNTIL RECENTLY THE BED HAS STARTED TO SHAKE VERY VIOLENTLY. MY DAD AND I HAVE FIGURED OUT THAT THE FRAME ON MY TRUCK HAS SPLIT IN HALF! I DID SOME RESEARCH ON THIS ISSUE OF FRAMES FAILING. MOST 11TH GEN OWNERS LIKE ME HAVE OR HAD THIS KIND OF PROBLEM. SOME FRAMES HAVE ROTTED OUT COMPLETELY DUE TO FORD. THIS TRUCK IS VERY UNSAFE! AND IVE ASKED FORD IF THEY COULD DO ANYTHING AND THEY COULDNT DO ANYTHING. THEY WONT BACK UP THEIR PRODUCTS.
BROUGHT MY 2004 F150 XLT TO HAVE SOME SERVICE WORK DONE, THE TRUCK NEEDED A MUFFLER AND A NEW FRONT UPPER CONTROL ARM, I WAS ADVISED BY THE SERVICE MANAGER THAT I SHOULD HAVE MY FRAME LOOKED AT BEFORE GOING ANY FURTHER, BOTH RIGHT AND LEFT SIDES OF THE FRAME IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TRUCK HAVE SEVERE RUST AND I BELIEVE THE STRUCTURE IS DOOMED TO FAIL, I HAD PLANNED ON DRIVING THIS TRUCK FOR SEVERAL MORE YEARS AS IT IS MY DAILY DRIVER. I AM NOW LEFT WITH A TRUCK THAT CANNOT BE CERTIFIED FOR RESALE AND HAS LOST ITS VALUE AND FURTHER IT IS NO LONGER SAFE. BY THE WAY THE TRUCK ONLY HAS 190 THOUSAND KMS ON IT.
CAM PHAZER IS OUT LEANING OUT THE TIMING, CAUSING THE MOTOR TO KNOCK AND IDLE AT 500 RPMS CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO COMPLETELY STOP IN TRAFFIC OR AT A STOP LIGHT. I AM TOLD AT MINIMUM A TIMING CHAIN KIT, PHASER, MIGHT FIX THE PROBLEM IF NOT I WOULD NEED A NEW ENGINE AT 5000.00 DOLLARS THIS NEEDS TO BE A RECALL FIX MY TRUCK ONLY HAS 116454.MILES ON IT AND SHOULD NOT NEED THIS KINK OF REPAIRS YET. OR SHOULD BE COVERED BY FORD THROUGH A MALFUNCTION OF EQUIPMENT THAT WAS INSTALLED AND THERE FOR MALFUNCTIONED PREMATURELY

THE DEALER (CREST FORD FLAT ROCK IN FLAT ROCK, MI, 734-782-2400) STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 159,000.
2004 FORD F150 STARTED UP FINE, DROVE IT FOR 10 MINUTES, SLOWED DOWN AND IT STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION. WOULD NOT START BACK UP, CALLED A TOW TRUCK TO GET THE TRUCK HOME. NEXT DAY, STARTED UP AND DID THE SAME THING, STALLED OUT. THE FUEL PUMP DRIVER MODULE IS CAUSING THIS, ALONG WITH A LOT OF OTHER FORD F150'S. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE! I HAD MY CHILD IN THE TRUCK WHEN IT STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION. THE FPDM GETS CORRODED DUE TO THE BAD POSITIONING OF THE PART.
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS - RPMS ON ENGINE BEGIN TO FLUCTUATE BETWEEN 2000 AND 750. AT NEXT STOP, ENGINE DIES, BUT WILL IMMEDIATELY RESTART. NO ENGINE MALFUNCTION CODES WHEN CHECKED WITH AN OBD II READER, AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT DOES NOT ILLUMINATE.

THIS IS CLEARLY A FORD ISSUE AND IS NOW GETTING A GOOD SHARE OF ATTENTION ON YOU TUBE. THERE ARE A LOT OF US OUT THERE WHO HAVE INHERITATED THIS FROM FORD WHO IS IN CONSTANT DENIAL OF IT'S REFUSAL TO ADDRESS AND TAKE CORRECTIVE ACTION TO REPAIR THE BUCKLEING OF THE FRONT END. HOW MANY MORE ACCIDENTS NEED TO HAPPEN OR FORD'S DILIGENCE ON PREVENTITIVE MEASURES MAY JUST SAVE LIVES AND CUSTOMERS. PLEASE HELP IN RESOLVING THIS MANUFACTURING ISSUE.

RECEIVED A CALL THE NEXT MORNING THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM, SO WENT IN TO SEE WHAT THE ISSUE WAS. TURNS OUT THE FRAME OF THE TRUCK HAS ROTTED ON BOTH THE PASSENGER AND DRIVERS SIDE, WHERE THE BED MEETS THE CAB. WHEN THEY TRIED TO LIFT THE TRUCK TO INSTALL THE TIRES THE TRUCK DIDN'T MOVE, THE LIFT JUST STARTED CRUSHING THROUGH THE FRAME RAIL. QUITE DEVASTATING NEWS TO RECEIVE SINCE THE TRUCK RUNS AND DRIVES GREAT, BUT IS NOW A BIG HUNK OF SCRAP. WORRISOME ALSO AS I HAD JUST TAKEN MY FAMILY ON A 7 HOUR TRIP IN THE TRUCK A MONTH EARLIER AND HATE TO CONSIDER WHAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED IF WE HAD BEEN INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT. I FEEL THAT IN THIS DAY AND AGE A 13 YEAR OLD TRUCK SHOULD NOT EXPERIENCE THIS ISSUE AND THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD STEP UP AND TAKE SOME RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR PRODUCT. BUILT FORD TOUGH. YEAH, RIGHT.
THINK I BOUGHT A LEMON TRUCK FROM FORD AFTER SPENDING A LOT OF MONEY TO TRY AND KEEP TRUCK RUNNING BUT AFTER ALL THE TIME AND EFFORT I PUT INTO THE TRUCK IT WILL ONLY GO IN REVERSE AND ENGIN SOUNDS ROUGH .
