THE CABLE THAT OPERATES THE AUTOMATIC WINDOW IN MY DRIVER SIDE DOOR BROKE AND THE WINDOW ROLLED ITSELF DOWN AND WOULD NOT ROLL UP. THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO MY DAD'S F-150. *TR
TRUCK TAKEN INTO BE SERVICED. MECHANIC BROKE SPARK PLUG OFF INTO THE HEAD. POSSIBLY LEADING TO COMPLETE REMOVAL OF ENGINE AND HEAD. *TR
ALL FOUR WINDOWS ON OUR TRUCK HAVE HAD A MOTOR PROBLEM, WINDOWS GO DOWN AND DON'T COME DOWN, THE FIRST TWO WERE UNDER WARRANTY AND THE LAST ONE WAS NOT AND IT'S VERY EXPENSIVE AND NOW AS OD 4/13/09 WE HAVE HAD THE FOURTH ONE GO DOWN AND GET STUCK. NOW WE HAVE TO TAKE THE TRUCK IN YET AGAIN AND IT'S NOT UNDER WARRANTY BUT WE ONLY HAVE 45,000 MILES ON IT. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 FORD F150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SPARKS PLUGS SPLIT INTO THREE PIECES WHEN REMOVING THEM FROM THE ENGINE BLOCK. HE TOOK HIS VEHICLE TO A REPAIR SHOP AND THE SPARK PLUGS SPLIT INTO PIECES WHEN THE MECHANIC ATTEMPTED TO INSTALL NEW SPARK PLUGS. FORD'S TSB NUMBER 08-7-6 WAS REFERENCED. THE CONTACT WILL CALL THE FORD MANUFACTURER REGARDING THIS ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000. 4/01/09 *NJ UPDATED 04/07/09. *JB
I HAVE A 2004 FORD F150. DECEMBER 28, 2007 A THOUSAND MILES OVER WARRANTY THE PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW FELL. NO BUTTONS WERE TOUCHED. IT JUST FELL. NOW A LITTLE OVER A YEAR LATER THE DRIVER SIDE WINDOW DOES THE SAME THING. THIS TIME THE SAME DEALERSHIP, DUVAL FORD 9043876541 WANTS OVER $500 TO REPAIR THE WINDOW. IF THIS PART IS CONTINUOUSLY BREAKING THEN WHY IS IT NOT ON RECALL? IT IS NOT NORMAL FOR A WINDOW THAT IS BARELY PUT DOWN JUST FALLS AND BREAK. THAT'S NOT EVEN CONSIDERED WEAR AND TEAR. THAT'S JUST POORLY MADE AND ASSEMBLED. I RECENTLY RETURNED TO MY TRUCK AFTER PURCHASING A MOVIE TO HAVE MY DRIVER SIDE WINDOW SLAM DOWN INTO THE DOOR WHEN CLOSING IT. THE MOTOR IS NOW MAKING A GRINDING, CRACKLING NOISE BUT THE WINDOW WILL NOT MOVE. FORD NEEDS TO STEP UP AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR FAULTY PARTS AND FIX THE PROBLEM. *TR
WHILE DRIVING MY 2004 F150, I HEARD A LOUD POP AND THE DRIVER DOOR WINDOW FELL INTO THE DOOR. THIS CAUSED ME TO SWERVE AND RUN OFF THE ROAD. I THOUGHT I HAD HIT SOMETHING OR THAT MY TRUCK HAD BEEN SHOT. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 FORD F-150. APPROXIMATELY THIRTY MINUTES AFTER PARKING THE VEHICLE IN THE GARAGE, THE CONTACT HEARD A NOISE AND FOUND THE VEHICLE ON FIRE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT ARRIVED, BUT COULD NOT DETERMINE THE ORIGIN OF THE FIRE. A REPORT WAS FILED. THE FLAMES WERE LOCATED IN THE REAR CAB OF THE VEHICLE. THE INSURANCE COMPANY DECLARED THE VEHICLE TO BE DESTROYED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 46,000. UPDATED 4/23/09 *CN UPDATED 04/27/09.*JB
WINDOW REGULATOR IN MY 2004 FORD F-150 FX4 FAILED WHILE ATTEMPTING TO ROLL UP WINDOW. AFTER A LOUD POP, THE WINDOW FELL THROUGH AND WILL NOT ROLL BACK UP. *TR
DRIVING MY TRUCK ON MY LUNCH BREAK I NOTICED A POP SOUND WHICH FOLLOWED WITH A BAD IDLE, A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, AND A LOUD MIS-FIRE SOUND... I PULLED INTO MY JOBS PARKING LOT AND NOTICE THAT MY 2004 FORD F150 SHOT SPARK PLUG NUMBER 2 OUT OF THE CYLINDER HEAD AND SHATTERED THE COIL BOOT INTO MANY PIECES THIS WAS WITH ONLY 76,000 MILES. BEING IN THE AUTO PARTS BUSINESS I KNOW THAT THEY ARE KNOWN FOR THIS AND DEAL WITH MANY PEOPLE DAILY HAVING THIS ISSUE YET FORD HAS STILL NOT MADE A RECALL TO HELP US WITH THIS PROBLEM... I HAD TO REPLACE ONE SPARK PLUG, AND ONE COIL BOOT.. MY 2004 F-150 ELECTRIC WINDOWS KEEP FAILING. THEY FALL INTO THE DOOR WHILE I AM DRIVING AND IT HAPPENS WITH NO NOTICE AND AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. WHEN IT HAPPENS IT IS QUITE DISTRACTING BECAUSE OF SUDDEN THERE IS A LOUD NOISE AND A HUGE FORCE OF AIR COMING INTO THE CABIN. WHEN IT FIRST HAPPENED I THOUGHT SOMEONE HAD FIRED A WEAPON AT MY TRUCK. THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED THE DEALER FIXED THE PROBLEM UNDER WARRANTY BUT WOULD NOT FIX THE OTHER WINDOWS EVEN THOUGH THEY ADMITTED THE PROBLEM WAS COMMON WITH MY TYPE OF VEHICLE. IT HAPPENED AGAIN JUST AFTER WARRANTY EXPIRED AND THE DEALER SPLIT THE COST WITH ME. THE THIRD TIME IT HAPPENED I WAS ON MY OWN. IT IS A SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLAR REPAIR. THE PROBLEM APPEARS TO BE A SIMPLE PIECE OF PLASTIC WITH A PULLEY THAT ALLOWS A CABLE TO WIND AROUND A MOTOR SHAFT. ALTHOUGH THE CAUSE IS SIMPLE, THE REPAIR IS NOT AND THE ENTIRE DOOR MUST BE TAKEN APART. THE BIGGEST PROBLEM IS THAT THE FAILURE WILL SCARE THE DRIVER AND SIGNIFICANTLY TAKE YOUR MIND OFF THE ROAD. IF A CHILD IS SITTING NEXT TO THE WINDOW, THE EVENT COULD EVEN HAVE MORE SEVERAL CONSEQUENCES. FORD APPARENTLY KNOWS OF THE PROBLEM BASED OF FORD MECHANIC COMMENTS ABOUT THE ISSUE BEING COMMON TO THE 2004 F-150 AND THE NUMBER OF REPAIR KITS THEY GO THROUGH. BELOW THE DATE IS THE MOST RECENT OCCURRENCE. *TR
I BOUGHT A FORD F450 NEW AND FROM DAY ONE I HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE 6.0 DIESEL ENGINE. THE LATEST WAS A BLOWN INTERCOLLER AND TO ENGINE CYLINDERS. *TR
WENT TO CHANGE THE SPARK PLUGS. TEN DAYS AND $1000 LATER I HAVE THE TRUCK BACK. IF I HAD TO DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN, I WOULD SELL THE TRUCK WELL BEFORE THE 100,000 MILE MARK. IDIOTIC DESIGN LEADS TO SPARK PLUGS BREAKING. DO NOT CHANGE PLUGS WITHOUT DISCUSSING WITH DEALER FIRST. THEY HAVE A SPECIAL TOOL FOR EXTRACTING THE BROKEN PART. IT SAYS A LOT ABOUT THE SITUATION THAT FORD HAD TO COME OUT WITH A TOOL TO FIX THEIR POOR ENGINEERING. FORD NEEDS TO RECALL THESE VEHICLES WITH THIS DEFECT AND MAKE GOOD ON IT. I WAS DRIVING WHEN I HEARD A LOUD POP! AT THAT POINT MY DRIVER SIDE WINDOW ROLLED DOWN AND COULDN'T BE ROLLED BACK UP. FORD SAID THEY WOULD LOOK AT IT FOR 200.00 AND THAT WAS JUST TO LOOK AT IT. I TORE INTO IT MYSELF AND FOUND THE WINDOW REGULATOR TO BE BROKEN. FORD WANTS TO CHARGE ME 198.00 FOR THE WHOLE ASSEMBLY. THIS I BELIEVE TO BE REDICULOUS. ALSO MY PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW DOES NOT WANT TO ROLE UP WITH THE PASSENGER SIDE CONTROL SO THAT IS INOPPORATIVE. ONE MORE THING MY CRUISE CONTROL DOESN'T WORK HALF OF THE TIME. MY MAJOR COMPLAINT THOUGH IS THE WINDOW REGULATOR AS THIS SEEMS TO BE A MAJOR PROBLEM WITH FORD COMPONENTS AND EVEN THE FORD MECHANICS I TALK TO SAY THIS IS A BIG PROBLEM. *TR
MY 1 AND A HALF YR OLD SON AND I HAD JUST PULLED UP TO CHURCH. I ROLLED DOWN THE FRONT PASSENGER WINDOW TO TALK TO A RELATIVE AND AS I PRESSED THE DOWN BUTTON I HEARD A LOUD POP. I WASN'T SURE WHAT THE NOISE WAS, SO I WENT TO QUICKLY ROLL THE WINDOW UP AND CHECK THE OUTSIDE OF THE TRUCK. AS I TRIED TO ROLL THE WINDOW UP, I REALIZED IT WAS THE WINDOW THAT MADE THE POP BECAUSE THE WINDOW QUICKLY FELL THE REST OF THE WAY INTO THE TRUCK. AS I DID NOT HAVE ANY OTHER OPTION, MY SON AND I HAD TO DRIVE 15 MILES HOME GOING 45 MILES PER HOUR IN THE COLD FEBRUARY NIGHT (I HAD TO BUNDLE HIM UP AS BEST AS I COULD) BECAUSE THERE WAS NOT ANOTHER OPTION FOR US TO GET HOME (AND THE WINDOW WOULD NOT STAY UP). AFTER RESEARCH ONLINE (AND TALKING TO FORD DEALERS) FOUND OUT IT WAS THE WINDOW REGULATOR AND QUITE COMMON IN 2004 FORD F150 LARIATS. I FEEL THIS SHOULD DEFINITELY BE A RECALL BECAUSE IT COULD BE VERY DANGEROUS IF THIS HAPPENED ON THE HIGHWAY GOING 65 - 70 MPH! 09/27/10 (63500 MILES) - DRIVING IN TOWN THE REAR DRIVER SIDE WINDOW JUST FELL DOWN INTO THE WINDOW. NO FORD DEALER IN OUR TOWN WE HAD TO DRIVE 45 MINUTES IN THE COLD OF OCTOBER WITH A PIECE OF CARDBOARD IN THE WINDOW (THAT KEPT MOVING AND CAUSING THE WINDOW TO CONTINUOUSLY FALL INTO THE TRUCK AND HAVING TO MAKE MANY STOPS ALONG THE WAY). SAME ISSUE - WINDOW REGULATOR HAD TO BE REPLACED. 04/10/11 (69000 MILES) - DRIVING HOME FROM CHURCH IN TOWN THE WINDOW STARTED TO FALL INTO THE TRUCK. AS THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED, WE ARE 100% SURE IT IS THE WINDOW REGULATOR! SETTING UP AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE FORD DEALER TO GET IT FIXED. RESEARCHED ONLINE, AND THIS HAS HAPPENED TO MANY OTHER 2004 FORD F150 LARIAT TRUCK OWNERS! AGAIN, WE ARE VERY THANKFUL WE WERE NOT DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT 70 MPH WITH OUR LITTLE ONE IN THE BACK IN THE MIDDLE OF WINTER! VERY UNSAFE!
I HAVE A 2004 FORD 150. THE WINDOW REGULATORS KEEP FAILING ON MY TRUCK. A WINDOW WILL SUDDENLY START SLIDING DOWN AND THEN IT WILL NOT GO UP. IT HAS OCCURRED SEVERAL TIMES AND IS UNPREDICTABLE. THIS IS TWICE I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE IT AT A COST OF ABOUT $400. THIS OCCURRED ON 02-25-2009. THE FIRST TIME WAS APPROXIMATELY TWO YEARS AGO. I SEARCHED THE INTERNET AND FOUND THIS IS NOT AN UNCOMMON PROBLEM WITH THE 2004 F150 FX4. I DO NOT BELIEVE I SHOULD HAVE TO PAY $400. EVERY TWO YEARS JUST TO ROLL UP MY WINDOW. *TR
I AM ON THE THIRD WINDOW REGULATOR IN MY 2004 FORD F150. ALL OF THESE ARE ON DIFFERENT WINDOWS AND HAVE COST ME $351 DOLLARS EACH TIME TO REPLACE. MY COMPLAINT IS WHY HAS THIS PRODUCT NOT BEEN RECALLED WITH SO MANY PEOPLE HAVING THESE PROBLEMS. *TR
THE POWER WINDOWS ON FORD F-150 2004. I HAVE HAD THREE FAIL ON ME WHILE DRIVING. ALL THREE FAILURES HAVE HAPPENED WITHIN A YEAR, TO THREE DIFFERENT WINDOWS. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 FORD F150. WHILE DRIVING HE ATTEMPTED TO ROLL UP THE WINDOW, BUT THE GLASS FELL DOWN INTO THE DOOR FRAME. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND THE WINDOW REGULATOR ASSEMBLY WAS REPLACED AT AN EXPENSE OF $369.00. THREE THOUSAND MILES LATER, THE PASSENGER SIDE WINDOWS FAILED IDENTICALLY. HE NOTIFIED THE DEALER AND WAS ADVISED THAT THERE WAS NO WARRANTY OR RECALLS ON THE WINDOWS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000.
I THINK FORD SHOULD DO A RECALL ON THE WINDOW REGULATORS. MINE IN PARTICULAR IS BROKEN IN ALL FOUR DOOR. IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD. THE LATEST ONE MADE A LOUD BANG AND GOT MY ATTENTION AND ALMOST DISTRACTED ME. AND ITS NOT LIKE ITS ONLY HAPPENED TO ME. ALMOST EVERY F150 OWNER IS SUFFERING JUST LIKE I AM. *TR
WINDOW FELL DOWN WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE; 2004 F150 PICK UP. *TR
BACK WINDOW ON DRIVERS SIDE DOOR SPRING OR SOMETHING BROKE IN DOOR AND WINDOW STARTED TO COME DOWN BY ITSELF MY DOG ALMOST JUMPED OUT AND WOULD HAVE BEEN HIT BY A CAR. NO REASON THAT SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED. *TR
WE RECENTLY PURCHASED A 2004 FORD F150 SUPERCAB. TWO OF THE WINDOWS DID NOT ROLL DOWN PROPERLY FROM THAT DOOR, BUT DID SO FROM THE DRIVER'S SWITCH AT THE TIME, SO I FIGURED IT WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE INDIVIDUAL SWITCHES. THEN LATER THE NEXT WEEK, THE DRIVER'S WINDOW AND SWITCH BEGAN TO FAIL. THE WINDOW MAY ROLL DOWN, BUT MAY NOT ROLL BACK UP WHEN THE SWITCH IS PRESSED. EACH DOOR IS SPORADIC WITH THESE SYMPTOMS. I READ ON-LINE AT THE VOLUME OF FAILURES WITH THE FORD WINDOWS MOTORS & REGULATOR WITH THIS MODEL, AND WANTED TO SUBMIT MY COMPLAINT AS WELL. THE WINDOWS HAVE NOT COMPLETELY QUIT WORKING, BUT FROM WHAT I READ, IT IS JUST A MATTER OF TIME. *TR
ONE YEAR AGO MY 4 WHEEL DRIVE STOPPED WORKING. MY F-150 WAS 47 MONTHS OLD AND PURCHASED TO GO IN SNOW AND OFF ROAD. THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE BROKE AND THE LIMITED SLIP REAR AXLE (ALSO DEFECTIVE) ONLY SPINS THE RIGHT REAR WHEEL. NOW, IF YOU GET ON WET GRASS YOU ARE STUCK AND NEED A TOW. I TOOK MY F-150 TO THE FORD DEALER AND THEY DID A $100 DIAGNOSTIC AND SAID THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE HAD FAILED. FORD DEALER SAID THIS 4X4 MODULE (INTEGRAL PART OF THE PCM) WAS NOT COVERED BY THE 8 YEAR 80,000 MILE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE WARRANTY BECAUSE THE F-150 WOULD STILL PASS EMISSIONS TESTING (THE OTHER TWO THIRDS OF THE PCM STILL WORKED CORRECTLY). THE COST ESTIMATE STARTED AT $1100 TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE PCM, AND THE DEALER WAS WILLING TO NEGOTIATE ON THE REPAIR PRICE. THE REPAIR WAS NOT AFFORDABLE FOR ME AT THIS TIME. THE REASON I PURCHASED THE TRUCK WAS TO GO IN THE SNOW, BUT IT IS WORSE THAN ANY OTHER VEHICLE IN THE SNOW NOW WITHOUT THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE. IT CAN'T EVEN GET UP THE SLIGHT HILL IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD RIGHT NOW WITH A FEW INCHES OF SNOW, AND JUST SPINS THE RIGHT REAR WHEEL WITH ZERO TRACTION. *TR

I HAVE A FORD F150 AND ONE OF THE SPARK PLUGS JUST JUMPED OUT. THIS IS THE ORIGINAL PLUG FROM THE FACTORY. THE SERVICE MAN AT THE FORD DEALER SAID HE HAD NEVER SEEN THAT HAPPEN BEFORE. CHECKING THE NET THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE PROBLEM. THEY WANTED TO REPLACE THE HEAD FOR 4K. I CALLED AROUND AND FOUND OUT ABOUT PUTTING A SLEEVE IN FOR FOUR HUNDRED. *TR
WENT TO HAVE SPARK PLUGS CHANGED AT 100,000 MILES IN ACCORDANCE WITH MANUFACTURER'S FACTORY MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE. SPARK PLUGS ARE STUCK DUE TO FACTORY NOT SEATING PLUGS CORRECTLY AND NOT USING ANTI-SEIZE COMPOUND DURING FACTORY INSTALLATION. IT REQUIRES A $10,000 MACHINE TO NEGATIVELY POLARIZE THE ENGINE SO THAT THE PLUG THREADS CAN BE DECARBONIZED AND HOPEFULLY REMOVED. THIS IS AN UNACCEPTABLE FACTORY DEFECT AND FORD NEEDS TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE IMMEDIATELY AND RE-IMBURSED THE UNREASONABLE COSTS AND BURDEN PLACED ON THE CONSUMER. NO WHERE IN THE LITERATURE PROVIDED BY FORD WAS THIS ISSUE DISCUSSED HAD IT BEEN OPENLY DISCUSSED OR PRESENTED IN THE LITERATURE I WOULD NOT HAVE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. THIS IS FRAUD. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH ON NORMAL ROAD CONDITIONS, THE OVERDRIVE SWITCH WAS ACTIVATED AND THE TRANSMISSION SLIPPED BETWEEN GEARS. WHEN THE OVERDRIVE WAS DEACTIVATED, THE VEHICLE OPERATED NORMALLY. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW SUDDENLY SLIPPED DOWN INTO THE DOOR. 2004 F150 SUPERCREW PROBLEM: WINDOWS ROLLING DOWN BY THEMSELVES BOTH REAR WINDOW(RL & RR). CAUSE: PROBLEM WAS TRACED TO THE WINDOW REGULATOR, OR FAULT OF. THE WHITE PLASTIC CLIP HOLDING THE END OF THE STEEL CABLES (NEXT TO THE PULLEYS) BROKE OFF. ONE END BROKE OFF CAUSING THE WINDOW TO SLIDE DOWN BY GRAVITY AND FRICTION WHEN IN MOTION (SOMETIMES STILL - I.E. OVERNIGHT). IF UNAWARE OF THE SITUATION, LIKE I WAS WHEN IT FIRST HAPPENED TO THE RL WINDOW, I USED THE ELECTRONIC SWITCH ON THE DRIVER DOOR TO PULL THE RLWINDOW UP BUT COULD HEAR THE MOTOR (ON THE REGULATOR) EATING AWAY AT SOMETHING. AFTER OPENING UP THE DOOR, I NOTICED THAT THE CABLE WAS BEING MANGLED BY THE MOTOR. TWO WEEKS LATER, THE RR WINDOW HAD THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM, THE WHITE PLASTIC CLIP HOLDING THE END OF THE CABLE BROKE OFF FROM ONE END. OTHER END ALREADY CRACKED AND BARELY HOLDING ON. IT TURNS OUT THAT THE PARTS USED ARE BAD AND NEED TO BE REPLACED, ACTUALLY NEED TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE REGULATOR. THIS NEEDS TO BE REPLACED BEFORE SOMETHING BAD HAPPENS (SOMEONE CAN VANDALIZE MY CAR, OR... WHAT IF I GET INTO A BAD ACCIDENT AND MY 4 AND 2 YEAR OLDS ARE IN THE TRUCK WITH ME. IN THE LAST 6 MONTHS THERE HAS BEEN TWO SEPARATE INCIDENTS WHERE THE POWER WINDOW MECHANISM HAS BROKEN AND CAUSED THE WINDOW TO BE INOPERABLE. THIS HOWEVER IS THE FOURTH TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED. EVERY WINDOW POWER WINDOW MECHANISM "REGULATOR" ON MY 2004 FORD F150 HAS BROKEN ALL WITHIN A SPAN OF TWO YEARS. IT ALL STARTED WITH THE DRIVER SIDE REAR, THEN THE DRIVER SIDE FRONT, THEN THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT AND NOW THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR. YESTERDAY 01-21-2009 IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY WHILE DRIVING IN THE RAIN. THE REGULATOR GAVE OUT AND THE WINDOW CAME SLIDING ALL THE WAY DOWN, IN THE F150 THE WINDOWS GO ALL THE WAY DOWN INTO THE DOOR SO THE GLASS IS ALL THE WAY INTO THE DOOR POCKET, THERE WAS NOT A WAY FOR ME TO MANUALLY PULL THE WINDOW UP AND SECURE IT WITHOUT REMOVING THE DOOR PANEL. I WAS UNABLE TO ROLL IT UP AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT CAUSING WATER DAMAGE TO THE INTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE, PERSONAL PROPERTY AND MY SON. MY SON WAS IN A CAR SEAT IN THE REAR TILL WE WERE ABLE TO GET HOME TWO HOURS LATER IN THE COLD & RAIN. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE AND FORD WILL TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THESE FAULTY PARTS. 2004 FORD F-150 SIDE WINDOWS FALL DOWN. I HAVE OWNED THIS TRUCK LESS THAN 1 AND A HALF YEARS AND HAVE REPLACED TWO REGULATORS TO FIX THIS PROBLEM. MY CONCERN IS THE DANGER OF THESE WINDOWS WHEN YOU ARE TRAVELING ALONG AND THEY JUST FALL DOWN INTO DOOR. 71K MILES ON THE ODOMETER HAS LEAKING REAR AXLE SEALS ON BOTH SIDES AND THE OIL IS RUNNING DOWN ON THE PARKING/EMERGENCY AS WELL AS THE MAIN BRAKES. THIS CONFUSES THE ABS SYSTEM AND RENDERS THE REAR BRAKES USELESS IN NORMAL AS WELL AS EMERGENCY SITUATIONS.
