FIRST THE TRANS WENT OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF NO WHERE AT 1130 AT NIGHT WITH MY NEWBORN. THEN THE ENGINE WENT AS I WAS DRIVING TO WORK. WE FOUND OUT IT WAS THE CAM PHASERS WHICH WE HAD TO REPLACE THE ENGINE FOR. WE HAVE DONE $8000 IN REPAIRS AND IT'S NOT RECALLED??
LEFT WORK DROVE 1/4 OF A MILE AND CAR JERKED WHILE DRIVING AT 35 MPH, WRENCH LIGHT CAME ON AND CAR DIDN'T SEEM TO ACCELERATE AT FIRST BUT DID SLIGHTLY ACCELERATE SO I COULD GET OFF THE ROAD. TURNED CAR OFF WAITED A FEW MINUTES TURNED ON AND LIGHT WENT OFF. DROVE HOME 10 MILES AND STILL DOING IT WITHOUT EQUAL PATTERN
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE'S FRAME WAS RUSTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN UNKNOWN DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE FRAME WAS FRACTURED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 119,000. *TT VEHICLE PURCHASE DATE SHOULD BE ON OR BEFORE INCIDENT DATE *JB
HAD A WRECK AND THE ENTIRE FRONT OF TRUCK WAS BASICLY CRUSHED AND THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY.
DRIVING AND STARTED TO SHAKE, HAS NASTY RATTLE (DEATH RATTLE) THREW CODE P0355. FIXED THE CODE BY INSTALLING NEW WIRES $500.00. FIXED FOR 2 WEEKS THEN STARTED DOING IT AGAIN AND CODE P0355 CAME UP AGAIN. HAS LACK OF POWER AND SHAKES BAD. VERY MUCH A HAZARD TO DRIVE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE CONTACT NOTICED AN ABNORMAL ODOR COMING FROM THE FUEL TANK AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. NO LEAKS WERE FOUND. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT TO CALL NHTSA AND FILE A COMPLAINT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 142,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS LOW SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE BEGAN SHAKING AND A KNOCKING NOISE SOUNDED FROM THE ENGINE. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TEST DROVE THE VEHICLE AND DETERMINED THAT THE ROCKER ARMS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. IN ADDITION, THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC STATED THAT THE "VARIABLE VALVE TIMINGS" WERE FAULTY AND CREATED A MISFIRE WITHIN THE ENGINE. AN UNKNOWN FORD DEALER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 180,000.
THE TIME CHAIN SKIPS A TOOTH. I HAVE BEEN HAVING ISSUES WITH THIS LEADING TO INJECTORS AND CONSTANT MISFIRES. I WAS DRIVING WHEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN THE CAR STARTED LOOSING POWER AND A RATTLING NOISE STARTED.
REAR DRIVER SIDE DOOR RATTLES AS IF NOT COMPLETELY SHUT WHEN DRIVING. SUN/MOON ROOF NOT OPENING.
MY VEHICLE HAS A 4.6L V-8 ENGINE. THE REAR SPARK PLUG ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE EJECTED FROM IT'S CYLINDER. I WAS DRIVING AT ABOUT 50 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN THE EJECTION OCCURRED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CAM PHASER SENSORS FAILED, WHICH CAUSED THE ENGINE TO SHAKE ABNORMALLY AND THE VEHICLE TO STALL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SEVERAL INDEPENDENT MECHANICS WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CAM PHASER SENSORS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALER (FAIRWAY FORD OF EVANS, 4333 WASHINGTON RD, EVANS, GA 30809, (706) 854-9200) DIAGNOSED THAT THE CAM PHASER SENSORS HAD AN INTERNAL FAULT AND RECOMMEDED THAT THE ENGINE ASSEMBLY BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE, BUT HAD NOT ISSUED AN ENGINE RECALL TO ADDRESS THE FAILURE. THERE WERE NINE TSBS ON THE ENGINE AND ENGINE ASSEMBLY. THE VEHICLE REMAINED PARKED DUE TO THE INTERMITTENT FAILURES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000.

WHILE DRIVING & APPLYING BRAKES, TRUCK REVS UP DOES A BURN OUT!!!! HAPPENED FEB 14TH 2018 & AGAIN MARCH 1 2018. TOOK TO MECHANIC....THERE IS NO VACUUM LEAK & NO CODES APPEARED.
TAKATA RECALL INFLATORS HAVE BEEN REMOVED. INSTRUMENT PANEL DISPLAYS TIRE INFLATION WARNING ALWAYS. THE MAIN SAFETY ISSUE I SEE WITH THIS VEHICLE IS THE BRAKE AND ACCELERATOR PEDALS ARE TO CLOSE TO EACH OTHER AND ARE NOT ADJUSTABLE. THE ISSUE COMES ABOUT WHEN DEPRESSING BRAKE TO SHIFT FROM PARK TO DRIVE OR REVERSE. I AM AWARE OF THIS AND IT STILL HAPPENS SOMETIMES. SOMETIMES THE MOTOR REVS BUT VEHICLE WILL STAY STATIONARY. SOMETIMES THERE'S MORE PRESSURE ON ACCELERATOR THAN BRAKE PEDAL AND THE VEHICLE WILL LURCH FORWARD OR BACKWARD. THIS BEING AN XL MODEL, ITS NOT EQUIPPED WITH ADJUSTABLE PEDALS WHICH MAY SOLVE PROBLEM BUT AM UNCERTAIN OF THAT. IT SEEMS TO BE IDEAL VEHICLE EXCEPT FOR THESE TO ISSUES.

WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS AND WITHOUT DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR OR BRAKE PEDALS, THE VEHICLE INADVERTENTLY ACCELERATED AS THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND THE ENGINE REVVED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURES ALSO OCCURRED WHILE MAKING A LEFT TURN AND THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED, WHICH MADE IT DIFFICULT TO MAKE THE LEFT TURN. THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED IN ORDER TO STOP THE VEHICLE. AFTER STOPPING, TURNING OFF AND RESTARTING THE VEHICLE IT WAS ABLE TO OPERATE NORMALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC OR DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED AT LEAST THREE OTHER TIMES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND A CASE WAS OPENED. THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED TO NHTSA BY THE MANUFACTURER. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 143,000.
ENGINE TICKING, FROM PRIOR REPORTS LOOKS TO BE A COMMON ISSUE, ALSO WHEN FILLING UP WITH GAS IT SEEMS TO HAVE BACK PRESSURE AND KEEPS TURNING THE PUMP OFF.
THE FRAM IS EAT UP ON MY TRUCK AND FORD WONT FIX IT AT ALLI CALL AND THEY KEEP GIVING ME THE RUN AROUND I THINK THAT THE TRUCK WILL BREAK INTO AND CAUSE A SERIOUS WRECK BECAUSE OF IT
I BOUGHT A 2007 FORD F15 FX4 TRUCK A YEARS AGO, AND TOOK IT TO FORD TO ASKED THEM ABOUT THE TICKING NOISE COMING FROM ENGINE. THEY TOLD ME THAT IT WAS NORMAL ON THE 5.4 TRITON. ABOUT A WEEK AGO THE TICKING GOT LOUDER AND I LOOKED UP PROBLEMS ONLINE, AND FOUND THAT THERE IS A DESIGN FLAW IN THE ENGINE THAT CAUSES CAM PHASERS TO FAIL, AND OIL PRESSURE DROPS TO ZERO. FORD KNOWS ABOUT THE PROBLEM, BUT WHEN I CALLED THEY TOLD ME THAT I NEED TO REPLACE THE ENGINE, AND THAT IT WOULD BE ON ME. I LOOKED ON SEVERAL FORD FORUMS AND FOUND THAT THERE ARE 1000'S OF PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT THIS. IS IT GOING TO TAKE SOMEONE GETTING KILLED BEFORE FORD OWNS UP TO THERE PROBLEMS! THEY ARE IGNORING THE ISSUE AND HAVING THE CONSUMER PAY AYWHERE FROM 3500- 8000 DOLLARS TO REPAIR THIS ISSUE. ALSO, THE ENGINE HAS VERY BAD POWER LOSS AND SHAKES VIGOURESLY WHEN WARM AND PULLING UP TO STOP OR REVERSE.
VEHICLE LOSES POWER AT 45 TO 60 MPH OR ON A BUMPY ROAD DASHBOARD LIGHTS COME ON. IT HAS DONE THIS APPROX.3 TIMES.IT USUALLY STARTS BACK UP BUT I THINK ITS A SAFETY HAZARD.
THE DRIVESHAFT WIELDED PART TO THE TRUCK BROKE OFF
I WAS STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT, WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN I GAVE THE TRUCK SOME GAS AND IT STARTED MAKING NOISE AND ACTED AS IF SOMETHING WAS ABOUT READY TO FLY APART AND SEVERLY VIBRATING. I HAD TO STOP AS QUICK AS POSSIBLE WITH CARS BEHIND ME SWERVING TO GET AROUND ME. I HAD TO CALL A TOW SERVICE TO GET MY TRUCK HOME, AFTER INSPECTION OF THE DRIVESHAFT I FOUND THAT THE CARRIER BEARING HAD SLIP OUT OF IT'S HOUSING AND THE DRIVESHAFT WAS BOUNCING AROUND IN THE BEARING BRACKET. I COULD NOT LOCATE A CARRIER BEARING ANYWHERE SO I CALLED THE FORD DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD I WOULD HAVE TO BUY AND REPLACE THE ENTIRE DRIVESHAFT. I DID SOME SEARCHES ON THE INTERNET AND FOUND THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES. IF YOU INSPECT THE DRIVESHAFTS NOW BEING SOLD FOR REPLACEMENTS YOU WILL FIND THAT THERE HAVE BEEN DESIGN CHANGES MADE BUT FORD WON'T ADMIT THAT THEY HAD A DESIGN FLAW WITH THE ORIGINAL DRIVESHAFT. BY THE WAY, MY 2007 F150 ONLY HAS 32000 MILES ON IT, IT'S NOT A WEAR ISSUE.

BLOWN OUT SPARK PLUG #3 CYLINDER, REPAIR LASTED LESS THAN 3 WEEKS AND FAILED ON STATE HIGHER 41 IN CALIFORNIA WITCH CAUSE MAJOR LOSS OF POWER GOING UPHILL AND STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC WITH MY WIFE AND CHILD IN THE VEHICLE. THE INCIDENT LEFT US WITH NO CHOICE BUT TO WALK ACROSS HEAVY TRAFFIC TO THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY AND LEAVE THE VEHICLE IN THE ROAD WAY
TAKATA RECALL....BACK DOOR LATCHES FAILED. CANNOT OPEN MANUALLY.
I BOUGHT THIS TRUCK JUNE 28 2010. ON 2-11-14 I TOOK IT TO FORD DEALER BECAUSE OF FRAME ROT AND WAS TOLD THEY COULD NOT COVER THE REPAIR. I HAD IT REPAIRED AT A WELDING SHOP. THE TRUCK FRAME IS NOW SO BAD THAT IT IS UNSAFE AND WILL NOT PASS INSPECTION. IT HAS SEPARATED AT FACTORY WELD. OBVIOUS MANUFACTURING DEFECT.
STEERING BINDS SO TIGHTLY WHEN VEHICLE IS IN MOTION THAT IT TAKES SIGNIFICANT FORCE TO TURN WHEEL. ONCE WHEEL GETS PAST AND FREE OF THE BINDING POSITION IT TRAVELS TOO FAR CREATING A NEED FOR A STEERING CORRECTION. I BELIEVE THAT THE TWO PIECE STEERING SHAFT AND THE TWO UNIVERSAL JOINTS ARE WORN AND CAUSING THE PROBLEM. IT FEELS LIKE YOU HAVE LOST POWER STEERING, HOWEVER NOT THE CASE. AS THE POWER STEERING FLUID IS AT THE PROPER LEVEL. THERE ARE NO FLUID LEAKS, FORD HAS RECALLED EXPEDITIONS AND LINCOLNS FOR THIS ISSUE, WHY NOT THE F-150 PICKUP TRUCKS?
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE SPARK PLUGS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
I NEED REPLACE SPARKS PLUS NO VARY LIKE DO THEY SAID FORD F150 5.4 POSIBLE LOOS PICE INSIDE MOTOR
WHILE UNDER WARRANTY THE ROTORS BECAME WARPED. I TOOK THE TRUCK INTO THE DEALER AND THEY GROUND THE ROTORS WHICH MADE THEM THINNER AND MORE VULNERABLE TO WARPING WHICH OCCURRED IMMEDIATELY. FORD REFUSED TO REPLACE THE ROTORS. THE PADS WERE FINE INDICATING THAT THE PROBLEM WAS NOT AN OPERATOR PROBLEM. I TOOK THE TRUCK TO AN INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOP WHERE THEY CONCLUDED THAT THE ROTORS WERE NOT SUFFICIENT FOR THE VEHICLE. THEY REPLACED THE ROTORS WITH A MORE SUBSTANTIAL ROTOR AT A COST OF $1400 AND I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEM SINCE.
PICKED UP MY SON FROM SCHOOL AND WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT 55MPH I HEARD A LOUD NOISE AND IT GOT REALLY LOUD . MY SPARK PLUG JUST BLEW OUT FOR NO REASON.
FRAME IS COMPLETELY RUSTED THROUGH TO THE POINT THAT IT CANNOT BE REPAIRED AND IS UNSAFE. IT CANNOT PASS A STATE SAFETY INSPECTION AND HAS DETERIORATED TO THE POINT WHERE IT CANNOT EVEN BE PUT ON A LIFT BECAUSE IT HAS NO STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY. THERE ARE LARGE HOLES RUSTED THROUGH AND WHERE IT HASN'T ENTIRELY RUSTED THROUGH, THE METAL HAS DETERIORATED TO BEING LESS THAN HALF OF ITS ORIGINAL THICKNESS. THE PROBLEM WENT UNNOTICED BECAUSE THE REST OF THE TRUCK SHOWED NO SIGNS OF ANY ADVANCED DETERIORATION.
DURING SHIFTING ON STREETS AND HWY'S MY RPMS RAMP UP TO 3000-5000. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING WHILE MAINTAINING SPEED AND THEN THE RPMS WILL RAMP UP THEN THE SPEED STEADILY DROPS WHILE MY FOOT IS STILL ON THE ACCELERATOR. TURNING THE OVERDRIVE OFF SEEMS TO HELP OCCASIONALLY. I HAVE ALSO ATTEMPTED TO BRAKE AT LIGHTS AND THE RPMS WILL RAMP UP AND LURCH FORWARD ALMOST CAUSING ME TO REAR END OTHER VEHICLES. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN AND I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY FORD HASN'T ISSUED A RECALL AND ADDRESSED THIS SAFETY HAZARD. MY O/D LIGHT OCCASIONALLY FLASHES AND WHEN IN "PARK" THEN PUTTING THE GEAR IN "REVERSE" IT WOULDN'T OPERATE AND WHERE MY DIGITAL MILEAGE IS SAID "TRANS FAULT". I TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF, THEN BACK ON AND THE O/D WAS OFF AND WAS ABLE TO BACK UP. NONE OF MY WARNING LIGHTS HAVE COME ON AT ALL. OCCASIONALLY AT A STOP SIGN WHEN I ATTEMPT TO ACCELERATE THERE'S A DELAY IN MOVEMENT. SPEED VARIES AT TIMES OF INCIDENTS.

THE VEHICLE WAS ALSO TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MECHANIC REBUILT THE TRANSMISSION AND THE STARTER WAS REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT ISSUED A RECALL, BUT ISSUED EIGHT TSBS FOR THE ENGINE. THE CONTACT HEARD AN ABNORMAL NOISE COMING FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED NO SOLUTION OTHER THAN HAVING THE VEHICLE REPAIRED. FILED A CLAIM WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA BUREAU OF AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR ON 4-3-17, COMPLAINT # OC 2017005088, AGAINST FOUR ENTITIES INCLUDING: EL CAJON, CA FORD DEALER, CERTIFIED CAR CLINIC, FORD AUTOMOTIVE INC., AND DREW/PENSKE FORD REGARDING MY 2007 5.4 TRITON FORD F-150 TRUCK PLATINUM SPARK PLUG DEFECT. I WAS TOLD BY THE BAR THAT MY COMPLAINT WOULD BE FILED WITH YOUR AGENCY. I WOULD LIKE TO VERIFY IN WRITING THAT YOUR AGENCY HAS RECEIVED THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA BAR COMPLAINT.
THE FUEL PUMP DRIVER MODULE, WHICH IS LOCATED EXTERNAL TO TANK MOUNTED ON FRAME, FAILED BECAUSE IT CORRODED THRU TO THE INSIDE OF UNIT. A SPARK PLUG BACKED OUT. STRIPPED THE THREADS IN THE HEAD. THIS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING THE TRUCK. *TR
TRUCK WOULDN'T START. UPON FURTHER INSPECTION FOUND THE FUEL PUMP DRIVER MODULE FAILED DUE TO CORROSION. THE PART WAS BOLTED TO THE CROSS MEMBER ON THE BACK OF THE FRAME. THE BOTTOM OF THE PART IS ALUMINUM AND THE CROSS MEMBER IS STEEL, AND THEY WERE BOLTED FLUSH TOGETHER. REPLACED THE PART AND TRUCK WORKS FINE. I WOULD LIKE FORD TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THEY HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THIS AND REIMBURSE ALL PARTIES WHO HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM.01

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT THE HANDLE DETACHED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 70,000.
WHILE DRIVING MY TRUCK SUDDENLY LOST POWER AND SHIFTED INTO "LIMP HOME MODE" WHILE THE WRENCH AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. THIS HAPPENED TO ME A FEW YEAR BACK AS WELL SO I IMMEDIATELY ASSUMED IT WAS THE THROTTLE BODY OR SENSOR GOING BAD. I BROUGHT INTO THE FORD DEALERSHIP WHO CONFIRMED TO ME IT WAS THE THROTTLE BODY THAT WENT OUT. THIS IS NOW THE 3 THROTTLE BODY THAT MY TRUCK HAD HAD (9 YEARS OLD AND 130,000 MILES). AFTER DOING RESEARCH I SAW WHERE FORD HAD THIS SAME ISSUE WITH OTHER MODEL VEHICLES AND INSTEAD OF RECALLING EXTENDED WARRANTIES TO COVER THE COST OF REPLACEMENT. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AS IF IT OCCURS WHEN MERGING INTO TRAFFIC YOU LOSE ALL ABILITY TO ACCELERATE. I THINK FORD HAS A MAJOR ISSUE HERE THAT IT IS REFUSING TO ADDRESS.

EVERY VEHICLE THAT FORD PUT OUT WITH A CAM PHASER IS EXPERIENCING ISSUES WITH THE CAN PHASER. ANY SAE CERTIFIED MECHANIC WILL VERIFY THIS. THIS IS A HORRIBLE DESIGN. WHY HASN'T FORD STEPPED UP TO THE PLATE AND FIXED THIS ISSUE? I BELIEVE THEY ARE TRYING TO BURY IT SO THAT THEY DON'T HAVE TO INCUR THE COST OF FIXING THEIR MISTAKE. DUE TO THIS ISSUE I'VE BEEN STRANDED ON THE HIGHWAY. THE TRUCK LOOSES POWER, WON'T GO INTO GEAR....ETC....THIS HAPPENS AFTER THE CAN PHASER HAS ACTIVATED AND THEN I COME TO A STOP. THEN IT'S MISFIRING STALLING NOT GOING INTO GEAR...YOU NAME IT IT'S AN ISSUE. A COMPUTE READ ON THE OBD2 STAYED THAT I HAD MISSES IN IGNITION COILS 1,3 AND 7 REPLACED THEM THEN THE TEACHING STAYED MISFIRED IS 2,4 AND 5 REPLACED THEM AND ALL THE SAME ISSUES... EVERY MECHANIC I'VE SPOKEN TO SAYS ABSOLUTEY THE PHASES AND THAT THEY HAVE TO PUT A CAM PHASER DELETE KIT IN THESE VEHICLES DO GET RID OF THESE PROBLEMS. WHY HASN'T FORD BEEN HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR SUCH A TERRIBLE DESIGN?

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED BRUISES THAT DID NOT REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 76,000. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED.
ANOTHER INCIDENT OF A "DEATH WOBBLE" IN THE FRONT END. GOING DOWN THE HWY THERE IS A SIGNIFICANT WOBBLE. FRONT END OF TRUCK SHAKES DANGEROUSLY. SLOWING TO 20 MPH RESOLVES WOBBLE BUT HITTING A BUMP IN THE RD INITIATES THIS WOBBLE AGAIN. THIS WOBBLE HAS ACTUALLY CAUSED MY TRUCK TO PULL INTO ANOTHER LANE. I HAVE HAD THE ALIGNMENT CHECKED AS WELL AS NEW TIRES AND BALANCING. BALL JOINTS AND OTHER PARTS REPLACED. THIS IS A FACTORY ISSUE AND FORD HAS FAILED TO ADDRESS WITH OWNERS. DEATHS ARE A CERTAIN OUTCOME IF NOT FINALLY ADDRESSED. LATEST EPISODE WAS LAST NIGHT BUT HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR YEARS.
PUT TRUCK IN REVERSE, IT SPED UP AND BRAKES DID NOT WORK. STOPPED BY BACKING INTO A TREE, THEN DROVE FINE. THREE DAYS LATER CAME TO AN INTERSECTION AND WAS UNABLE TO STOP. HIT ANOTHER VEHICLE IN THE INTERSECTION.
ACCELERATES WITHOUT NOTICE WHEN BRAKING SHIFTING ETC. VERY DANGEROUS AND FRUSTRATRING.
WHILE DRIVING AT SPEEDS OF 5 TO 15MPH WHEN THE BRAKE IS ENGAGED THE TRUCKS ENGINE WILL REV AND PULL THE TRUCK FORWARD. THE ONLY WAY TO STOP IS TO PUT IT IN N AND PUMP THE BRAKES, THIS WILL STOP THE ACCELERATION.
WHEN AT A RED LIGHT OR STOP SIGN THE TRUCK SURGES THE RPM GAGE IS OUT OF CONTROL ALMOST SURGING ME INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPEN IT ALSO HAPPENED IN 2015, TOOK IT TO THE SHOP AND IT COST ME 385.00 AND NOW A YESR LATER ITS HAPPENING AGAIN.
