THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 69,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SMAIL FORD (5110 US-30, GREENSBURG, PA 15601, (724) 900-2107) WHERE IT WAS TEST DRIVEN, BUT THEY WERE UNABLE TO REPLICATE AND DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS EXHIBITING THE SAME FAILURE AS LISTED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V057000 (POWER TRAIN). THE VIN WAS EXCLUDED FROM NHTSA ACTION NUMBER: RQ17010 (POWER TRAIN) AND THE RECALL BASED ON THE YEAR BY THE MANUFACTURER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT HAD TO GET INSIDE THE VEHICLE TO DEPRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL AND ENGAGE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 44,000.

ONCE THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED, ANTI-FREEZE FLUID LEAKED OUT. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO JAMES HODGE FORD LINCOLN (1200 N MAIN ST, MUSKOGEE, OK 74401, (918) 517-8370) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE WATER PUMP NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE CONTACT SCHEDULED A REPAIR APPOINTMENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 67,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
"TAKATA RECALL" I WAS LETTING MY TRUCK WARM UP BEFORE A HUNTING TRIP THAT MORNING, ICE ON WINDOWS SO TURNED ON REAR DEFROST, GOT IN TRUCK DROVE ROUGHLY 5MILES UP THE ROAD AND REAR DRIVER SECTION OF GLASS "EXPLODED" AND SPIDER WEBBED, REAR DEFROST WAS ON AT THE TIME OF INCIDENT.
DRIVER'S SIDE REAR WINDOW SHATTERED WHEN I TURNED ON THE REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY IN MY DRIVEWAY. FROM DOING SOME RESEARCH, I UNDERSTAND THIS PROBLEM IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THIS; AND OTHER MODEL YEAR, FORD F-150'S.
REAR DEFROSTER ON POWER SLIDING REAR WINDOW BEGAN MALFUNCTIONING, WORKING INTERMITTENTLY. SUDDENLY THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE GLASS OF THE POWER SLIDING REAR WINDOW SPIDER WEB CRACKED AND SHATTERED. DEFROSTER WAS ACTIVATED AT THE TIME.
GOT OFF THE FREEWAY, STOPPED AT THE STOP SIGN PROCEEDED TO TURN LEFT, JUST AS I WAS ENTERING THE INTERSECTION TRUCK LOST POWER AND WENT INTO LIMP MODE AND WOULD HARDLY MOVE. I WAS BARELY ABLE TO GET OUT OF THE WAY OF AN APPROACHING SEMI TRACTOR TRAILER BEFORE HE WENT FLYING BY. I WAS TOLD LATER BY THE FORD DEALER THAT THE PROBLEM WAS THE THROTTLE BODY, THE SAME THROTTLE BODY THAT FORD REPLACED 1 YR AND 4 MONTHS EARLIER. THE DEALER TOLD ME THAT HE WAS AMAZED THAT FORD HAD NOT DONE A RECALL ON THE THROTTLE BODY, BECAUSE THEY CHANGE ROUGHLY A FEW EVERYDAY THAT HAVE FAILED, SOMETIMES MULTIPLE TIMES.
I WAS DRIVING TO WORK AROUND 6:30 AM 1/15/2019. I HAD TURNED ON REAR DEFROST WHILE I WAS WARMING UP MY TRUCK. I HEARD A LOUD SOUND AND A BURNING SMELL. I DIDN'T NOTICE ANY DAMAGE WHEN I GOT TO WORK, HOWEVER IT WAS STILL PRIOR TO SUNRISE WHEN I GOT TO WORK. I LEFT WORK AROUND 510 PM AND NOTICE MY REAR SLIDING WINDOW WAS CRACKED ENTIRELY, BUT THE GLASS WAS STILL BEING HELD IN BY THE WINDOW TINT. I HAVE RESEARCHED ONLINE AND HAVE SEEN THAT THIS IS REOCCURRING PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE. IT SEEMS THAT THIS WOULD WARRANT A RECALL CAMPAIGN. I AM MAKING AN INSURANCE CLAIM AND CURRENTLY DONT HAVE ANY DOCUMENTATION TO SUBMIT.
BEFORE ENTERING THE VEHICLE I USED THE FACTORY REMOTE START OPTION. UPON ENTERING THE VEHICLE I WAS PREPARING TO DEPART FROM THE PARKING SPACE. MYSELF AND THE OTHER OCCUPANT OF THE VEHICLE HEARD A LOUD "BANG". UPON LOOKING TOWARDS THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE IT WAS NOTICED THAT THE REAR WINDOW HAD SHATTERED. AT THIS POINT IT WAS STILL CRACKLING AS IT HAD JUST HAPPENED. I THEN EXITED THE VEHICLE AND INSPECTED THE WINDOW FROM THE OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE AND DID NOT FIND ANY EVIDENCE OF IMPACT. UPON FURTHER RESEARCH AND INVESTIGATION THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE. IT IS FROM THE WAY THE WINDOW IS MADE IN A PLASTIC HOUSING, WHEN THE REAR DEFROSTER COMES ON IT HEATS THE GLASS, AND THE GLASS HAS NO ROOM FOR EXPANSION AND IT CAUSES IT TO SHATTER. OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE WAS 22 DEGREES F.
JANUARY 11, 2019 MY ECO BOOST FX4 WAS JUST AT 65K ON THE ODOMETER EXPERIENCED A HARD SHUTTER LIKE MANY ON THE FORUMS SAY AND WOULDN'T ACCELERATE ON THE INTERSTATE. CODE CAME UP MISFIRE. REPLACED ALL MY SPARK PLUGS, THAT AREN'T SUGGESTED FOR CHANGE FOR CHANGE UNTIL 100K. GAP OPENED FROM .28 TO .45. INTERCOOLER HAD A GOOD BIT OF OILY RESIDUE IN IT. I ALSO SINCE THEN INSTALLED A VAPOR CATCH CAN FOR OVER 400$. IT'S A SHAME YOU HAVE TO DO THAT. ALSO I RECENTLY HAD MY REAR DEFROST ON THE STOP WORKING ON THE MODEL WITH THE REAR SLIDING WINDOW. WHICH AGAIN HAS MANY COMPLAINTS. FORDS FIX IS TO REPLACE THE WHOLE REAR WINDOW AT A HEAVY PRICE. BOX BEING ABLE TO DEFROST IS A MAJOR VISIBILITY ISSUE ESPECIALLY IN THE WINTER. BOTH ISSUES HAVE MANY COMPLAINT ONLINE AND FORD HASN'T FIXED EITHER. THE PICTURE OF THE COKE BOTTLE IS WHAT DRAINED OUT OF THE CATCH CAN BY NPR. IT WAS 1 MONTH OF COMMUTING AND A 8 HOUR ROAD TRIP.
DURING A STOP ON CITY STREET AT APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH, THE ANTILOCK BRAKING SYSTEM ENGAGED ON DRY PAVEMENT FOR NO REASON BUT THEN LOST ALL BRAKING AND RAN INTO REAR OF A STOPPED VEHICLE.
2014 FORD F-150 STX 4 DOOR. I BOUGHT THIS TRUCK NEW AND IT'S BEEN A PROBLEM SINCE AROUND 26,000 MILES. I REPORTED THE ISSUE WITH FORD, TOOK IT TO THE DEALER WHICH WENT FOR A 30 MILE JOY RIDE I GUESS TO TELL ME THE PROBLEM COULDN'T BE DUPLICATED. ABSOLUTELY ENRAGES ME HOW THIS TYPE OF PRODUCT CAN BE SOLD TO HARDWORKING INDIVIDUALS KNOWING THAT THERE'S AN ISSUE THAT PUTS LIVES AT RISK AND STILL DENY THE CLAIMS. THIS VEHICLE HAS ABSOLUTELY RUINED ME FROM DRIVING AND MAKES ME SICK EVERY TIME I DRIVE. THERE IS NO RHYME OR REASON AS TO WHICH WAY THE TRUCK WILL GO WHILE DRIVING. DRIVING DOWN A ROAD IT TRAVELS FROM ONE SIDE TO ANOTHER. IF YOU GET ON THE INTERSTATE AND THE WIND IS BLOWING YOU MAY AS WELL GET OFF AND GO ALL BACKROADS OR GET READY TO STROKE OUT BEFORE YOU GET TO WHERE YOUR GOING. I DON'T THINK ANYONE UNDERSTANDS THE STRESS ON A BODY OF TRAVELING ON A FREEWAY FIGHTING TO KEEP YOUR VEHICLE ON THE ROAD. THE CAR IN FRONT OF YOU MOVES IT PUSHES THE TRUCK THE OPPOSITE WAY, A CAR BESIDE YOU IT EITHER PULLS YOU TOWARD THEM OR BIG TRUCKS NEARLY BLOW YOU OFF THE ROAD LIKE YOUR IN A SMALL CAR.YOU CAN NEVER JUDGE HOW MUCH PRESSURE TO PUT ON THE WHEEL WHEN MAKING GRADUAL OR SUDDEN TURNS ON A ROAD OR HIGHWAY BECAUSE IT'S NEVER THE SAME. ONE MINUTE YOU TURN THE WHEEL ALL THE AROUND TO MAKE A SMALL TURN AND THE NEXT TURN YOU BARELY TOUCH THE WHEEL AND IT MAY SEND YOU INTO THE NEXT LANE. I WAS TOLD BY FORD TO DRIVE WITH ONE FINGER ON THE WHEEL THAT THE EPAS NOTICES THE SLIGHTEST MOVEMENTS AND THAT I'M COUNTERING WHAT IT WAS DESIGNED TO DO. ABSOLUTE BS! I'M GLAD TO SEE I BOUGHT A 40,000$ POS AND THE ONLY THING FORD CAN DO IS GIVE A SMIRK WHEN I TAKE IT IN KNOWING GOOD AND WELL THEY HAVE AN ISSUE. HOW YOU DON'T HAVE A RECALL GOING PUZZLES ME AND SCARY TO THINK HOW MANY OTHERS ARE OUT THERE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM TRAVELING ON HIGHWAYS. JUNK
I WAS DRIVING ON THE OFF RAMP FROM THE HIGHWAY WHEN I HEARD A LOUD POP. I LOOKED IN MY REAR VIEW MIRROR TO SEE THE DRIVER SIDE PANEL OF MY BACK WINDOW SHATTERED.

THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED.THE MANUFACTURER AND LOCAL DEALER (WILLIAM MIZELL FORD, 330 US HIGHWAY 25, WAYNESBORO, GA) WERE NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 67,000.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD, GOING ABOUT 45 MPH, I WENT TO SWITCH LANES FROM THE RIGHT LANE TO THE LEFT LANE, AND WHEN SUDDENLY MY POWER STEERING (POWER STEERING ASSIST) WENT OUT ON MY VEHICLE, AS THIS HAPPENED, THE STEERING WHEEL JERKED LEFT, CAUSING ME TO RUN OFF THE LEFT SIDE OF ROAD, I GRABBED THE WHEEL AND WITH ALL MY MIGHT FOUGHT THE STEERING WHEEL TO GO BACK RIGHT, AND BARELY ESCAPED HITTING A HUGE OAK TREE, THE TRUCK WAS THEN NOT ABLE TO BE DRIVEN.WHEN I TRIED TO DRIVE IT AGAIN, THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD NOT LET ME TURN IT, IT WAS FIGHTING ME AND TRYING TO GO THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION OF WHICHEVER WAY I TIRED TO MAKE IT GO. IF I TRIED TO TURN LEFT, IF FOUGHT ME TO GO RIGHT, WHEN I TRIED TO TURN RIGHT IS FOUGHT MY TO STAY LEFT. NO MATTER WHICH WAY I TRIED TO TURN IT, THE POWER STEERING ASSIST SEEMED TO DISAGREE. THE ERROR ON MY DASH SAID "POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT". I STARTED DOING RESEARCH ONLINE AND FOUND THAT FORD DID A RECALL ON MY MODEL, AND YEAR FOR A PROBLEM WITH "POWER STEERING ASSIST", THE SAME ISSUE THAT MY TRUCK IS SHOWING IN THE ERROR, BUT FORD SAY MY TRUCK WAS NOT PART OF THAT RECALL. I ALSO FOUND ON SOME FORUM WEBSITES MANY OTHER PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE HAPPEN TO THEM, AND PUTTING THEM IN DANGEROUS SITUATIONS.
I WAS SIMPLY BACKING OUT OF THE PARKING LOT AT WORK, AND A LOUD 'POP' AND THE REAR WINDOW SHATTERED. TRUCK HAD BEEN WARMING UP, AND I FEEL IT MAY HAVE BEEN DUE TO THE REAR WINDOW DEFROST. WHEN I GOT OUT TO LOOK, THERE WAS NO INDICATION OF ANY IMPACT TO THE WINDSHIELD.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT IMMEDIATELY ACCELERATE WHEN DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. AFTERWARDS, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED ON ITS OWN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BREAMAN MERRILL FORD (1301 N. CENTER AVE, MERRILL, WI) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TIMING CHAIN NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 58,000.

ALSO, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. RED ROCK NISSAN (2582 US-50, GRAND JUNCTION, CO 81501, (970) 644-8020) DIAGNOSED AND REPAIRED THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS UNAWARE OF THE DIAGNOSTIC AND REPAIR SPECIFICS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75,000.
STEERING RETURN ABILITY, STEERING RACK. STEERING DOES NOT CORRECT ITSELF AFTER TURNING MUST BE MANUALLY DONE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE SHUDDERED AND FAILED TO ENGAGE PAST THIRD GEAR. IN ADDITION, THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 159,000.
THE BOLTS THAT HOLD THE FRONT BRAKE CALIPER MOUNTING BRACKETS TO THE FRONT SPINDLE ON BOTH SIDES OF THE TRUCK WILL COME OUT ON YOU, AND IT CAUSES THE CALIPER, AND THE CALIPER MOUNTING BRACKET TO COME OFF ON YOU.IN MY CASE, IT CAME COMPLETELY OFF ONCE WHILE BACKING UP, AND THE OTHER SIDE CAME COMPLETELY OFF WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. I STILL HAD SOMEWHAT BACK BRAKES LEFT TO GET STOPPED. HOWEVER, IT SOUNDED LIKE THE WHOLE FRONT END WAS COMING OUT OF IT. I HONESTLY THOUGHT THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE TRANSFER CASE AND TRANSMISSION WAS FALLING OUT OF IT, DUE TO THE NOISE IT MADE, AND THE JERKING, JUMPING AND WOBBLING IT DONE WHEN IT CAME LOOSE. HAD I OF BEEN IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC ON THE FREEWAY, IT WOULD HAVE CAUSED A WRECK IF I WOULD HAVE HAD TO STOP QUICKLY. I WAS LUCKY ONE COME OFF WHILE BACKING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY, AND THE OTHER CAME OFF DRIVING IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD GOING 20 MPH. THIS WAS A SCARY SITUATION DUE TO IT BEING A SUDDEN EVENT, WITH NO WARNING WHAT SO EVER EACH TIME IT DONE IT. I NEVER WOULD HAVE THOUGHT A NEW TRUCK WOULD HAVE A PROBLEM SUCH AS THIS, BECAUSE IT IS BASICALLY THE BRAKES FALLING OFF OF IT.
WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT ROUGHLY 75MPH THE VEHICLES SPEEDOMETER SUDDENLY JUMPED TO 105MPH THEN DOWN TO 65MPH, THEN TO ROUGHLY 90MPH AND FINALLY DROPPING TO 0MPH AT WHICH TIME THE TRANSMISSION SUDDENLY SHIFTED DOWN INTO 1ST GEAR CAUSING THE REAR WHEELS TO LOCK UP WHILE GOING 75MPH ALMOST KILLING MYSELF. AFTER THIS OCCURRED AND THE VEHICLE STOPPED THE IGNITION WAS TURNED OFF. ONCE RESTARTED EVERYTHING SEEMED TO BE FUNCTIONING AS IT SHOULD. A COUPLE DAYS OF DRIVING NORMALLY WENT BY BEFORE THE VEHICLE LOCKED ITSELF IN 5TH GEAR, THE ONLY WAY THIS WAS FIXED WAS FOR THE VEHICLE TO BE CYCLED ON AND OFF. A FEW MORE DAYS OF NORMAL DRIVING WENT BY AND THE VEHICLE THEN EXHIBITED SHIFTING FROM 1ST TO 5TH ONCE SPEED REACHED ABOUT 5MPH. THIS OCCURRED UNTIL THE VEHICLE WAS CYCLED ON AND OFF. FROM MY RESEARCH ONLINE THIS IS DIRECTLY RELATED TO THE OUTPUT SHAFT SPEED SENSOR IN THE TRANSMISSION LEAD FRAME. 2012-2013 F150S WERE RECALLED DUE TO THESE SAME SYMPTOMS, HOWEVER, THERE HAS NOT BEEN A RECALL FOR 2014'S AS OF YET, EVEN THOUGH THEY USE THE SAME FAULTY TRANSMISSION LEAD FRAME.
WHILE I WAS IN MOTION DRIVING TO WORK ON A COLD MORNING IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD, (7AM @ 5MPH) MY REAR WINDOW COMPLETELY SHATTERED ON ONE OF THE THREE PIECES THAT MAKE OP THE REAR WINDOW. IT HAS THE HEATING ELEMENT INTEGRATED WITHIN THE WINDOW AND I SUSPECT THIS DAMAGE WAS DUE TO A RAPID TEMPERATURE CHANGE. NO ONE WAS AROUND THE VEHICLE AT THE TIME OF INCIDENT EXCEPT FOR MYSELF.
WHEN IGNITION IS TURNED OFF, AND THE RADIO IS STILL PLAYING, A LOW BATTERY WARNING MESSAGE APPEARS WITH INSTRUCTIONS TO REMOVE IGNITION KEY AND TURN OFF THE RADIO. IN THE PAST, AFTER SEVERAL OF THESE MESSAGES, THERE WAS NO POWER TO START THE ENGINE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR WINDOW BEHIND THE DRIVER'S SEAT UNEXPECTEDLY SHATTERED. REAR DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW SHATTERED VIA A FAULTY DEFROSTER. FORD SAYS IT IS NOT A KNOWN ISSUE, BUT THERE ARE MANY WEBSITE FORUMS SHOWING THAT INDEED IT IS A KNOWN ISSUE. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL ON THESE WINDOWS. I USED THE REMOTE START TO WARM UP THE VEHICLE (IT WAS 47 DEGREES OUTSIDE, SO NO FROST, ETC) FOR ABOUT 7 MINUTES. I THEN DROVE THE TRUCK AND JUST AROUND THE CORNER FROM MY HOUSE THE WINDOW EXPLODED. IT SOUNDED LIKE A GUNSHOT IN THE CAB OF THE TRUCK. I ALMOST CRASHED THE TRUCK FROM BEING STARTED BY THE SOUND. THERE IS NO WAY THAT "IMPACT" CAUSE THE WINDOW TO EXPLODE, SINCE I HAVE A SHELL/TOPPER ON THE BACK. WAS SET TO AUTOMATICALLY COME ON WHEN REMOTE STARTING TRUCK. TEMP WAS BETWEEN 20-25 F. REAR WINDOW DEFROST BUTTON NOW LIGHTS UP FOR THE FIRST TIME. QUICK INTERNET SEARCH REVEALS THAT THIS EXACT SCENARIO HAPPENS TO THOUSANDS OF OTHERS WITH THIS TRUCK. A RANDOM EXPLODING WINDOW DUE TO HAVING A REAR DEFROST ON IN THE WINTER SHOULD NOT BE PAID FOR BY THE OWNER. THIS IS A CLEAR DEFECT IN THE VEHICLE.

TURNED ON THE REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER TO CLEAR THE WINDOW OF ICE, THE UNIT OVERHEATED, DID NOT BLOW A FUSE, INSTEAD GOT SO HOT IT BURNED AND SMOKED AND SHATTERED THE WINDOW! THIS HAPPENED IN MOTION. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS! FORD NEEDS TO RECALL THESE WINDOWS!
ON DECEMBER 5, 2018, MY 2014 FORD F-150 FX4 CAUGHT FIRE AT THE BOTTOM OF MY DRIVEWAY. I WENT OUT TO START MY TRUCK TO TAKE THE GARBAGE TO THE ROAD FOR PICKUP. I PUT THE TRUCK IN PARK AND BEGAN TO UNLOAD THE GARBAGE FROM THE BACK OF TRUCK. AFTER UNLOADING THE LAST BAG, I NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD, BY THE TIME I WENT TO POP THE HOOD SMOKE AND ALREADY TAKEN OVER THE CAB AND A FIRE HAD STARTED UNDERNEATH THE PASSAGER SIDE DASHBOARD. I RUSHED TO CALL 911, BY THE TIME THE FIRE DEPARTMENT ARRIVED THE TRUCK WAS A TOTAL LOSS. THE HEATER STOPPED WORKING MOMENTS BEFORE THE FIRE AND THE FIRE DEPARTMENT RULED IT AN ELECTRICAL FIRE, LIKELY FROM THE HEAT SOURCE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING, THE ENGINE POWER REDUCED AND THE VEHICLE STALLED ON A HILL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE GEARS FAILED TO SHIFT PROPERLY. THE VEHICLE WAS REVERSED DOWN A HILL AND THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO PULL OFF THE ROADWAY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED BY A DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A REPAIR FACILITY TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT THE RESULTS WERE UNKNOWN. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BACK TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE AND WAS UNABLE TO BE DRIVEN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE AT 70 MPH, THE "CHECK BRAKE SYSTEM" WARNING FLASHED ON THE DASH. I WENT TO PUSH THE BRAKE PEDAL AND IT WAS LOCKED IN PLACE. I PHYSICALLY COULD NOT DEPRESS THE PEDAL, NOT EVEN ENOUGH TO DISABLE THE CRUISE CONTROL. I HAD TO SWITCH CRUISE OFF ON THE WHEEL, SHIFT TO NEUTRAL, AND COAST TO A STOP ON THE SHOULDER OF THE HIGHWAY. SHUT THE TRUCK DOWN, TURNED BACK ON AND THE CODE DISAPPEARED AND MY BRAKES WORKED AGAIN. LATER THAT DAY, THE EXACT SAME THING HAPPENED ON THE INTERSTATE AGAIN. PHYSICALLY COULD NOT DEPRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL. IT WAS LIKE IT WAS LOCKED IN PLACE AND I COULD NOT BRING THE TRUCK TO A STOP. I TOOK MY TRUCK INTO THE DEWEY FORD IN ANKENY, IA A COUPLE NIGHTS LATER AND THEY BEGAN DIAGNOSTICS. 4 DAYS LATER, THEY COULD NOT REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM, AND ADVISED ME TO COME PICK UP THE TRUCK. NOTHING AGAINST THE DEALER, AS THEY CANNOT FIX WHAT THEY CAN'T REPRODUCE, AND THEY WERE KIND ENOUGH TO PROVIDE A LOANER AND A DISCOUNT ON THE DIAGNOSTICS FEE, BUT FORD CORPORATE REALLY NEEDS TO GET INVOLVED ON THIS SAFETY CONCERN. I'VE TRIED CALLING THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE, BUT THEY WILL DO NOTHING UNTIL IT CAN BE DIAGNOSED. IF THE DEALER CAN'T FIND THE PROBLEM, THEN FORD NEEDS TO SEND A PRODUCT SUPPORT REPRESENTATIVE TO DIAGNOSE IT THEMSELVES. AS OF TODAY, MY TRUCK HAS DONE THIS 4 TIMES SINCE LEAVING DEWEY, BUT ALWAYS WHEN I AM TOO FAR FROM THEIR STORE TO DROP IT OFF. AT THIS POINT, IM SCARED TO DRIVE MY TRUCK IN TRAFFIC OR WITH PASSENGERS. PLEASE USE YOUR POWERS TO RELAY THIS TO FORD AS WE HAVE A SERIOUS PROBLEM THAT THEY ARE IGNORING. 1) DUE TO A POOR DESIGN, MYSELF AND MULTIPLE OTHERS USERS HAVE HAD ISSUES WITH FAULTY / POORLY DESIGNED COOLANT HOSES. THESE HOSES WOULD RANDOMLY DISCONNECT OR SPILL COOLANT. THIS ALL HAPPENS NOW EVERY TIME I GO ANYWHERE. THERE IS A RECALL FOR THIS MATTER ON THE 2014 F150 BUT FORD TELLS ME NOT ON MY TRUCK AND THEY WILL NOT HELP ME AT ALL. THE TRUCK WAS BROUGHT FOR SERVICE INITIALLY BECAUSE THE AC BLOWER WAS NOT WORKING PROPERLY. IT WAS TURNING ON AND OFF BY ITSELF. THE DEALERSHIP DETERMINED THAT THE MOTOR SPEED CONTROL MODULE HAS TO BE REPLACED IN ORDER TO OPERATE NORMALLY. THE MODULE WAS REPLACED ON 7/13/18. ON 11/20/18, I BROUGHT THE TRUCK BACK TO SERVICE BECAUSE THE AC BLOWER WASN'T WORKING AGAIN. AND AFTER FURTHER INVESTIGATE, THE TECHNICIAN FOUND THE PIGTAIL GOING TO THE MODULE REPLACED BURNED. BOTH OF THE TIMES, THE SERVICE WAS PAID IN ORDER TO GET THE WORK DONE, AND THE REASON BEHIND THIS ISSUE WAS A HIGH RESISTANCE CAUSED THE HARNESS TO GET BURNED.
THERE SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM WITH THE REAR DEFROSTER SYSTEM ON ALL FORD F150'S FROM 2011THRU 2016. IT EITHER JUST STOPS WORKING CAUSING A ELECTRICAL SHORT AND POSSIBLE FIRE AND ELECTRICAL DAMAGE OR BODILY INJURY IF CONTACTED BY A PERSON, OR MOST COMMONLY IT WILL SHATTER THE REAR WINDOW CAUSING A VISUAL OBSTRUCTION OUT THE REAR WHILE DRIVING. ANOTHER ISSUE WITH THIS DEFECT IS THAT WHEN THE WINDOW DOES SHATTER, IT HAS BEEN KNOWN TO CREATE A HOLE IN THE GLASS WHICH COULD LEAD AGAIN TO A PERSON BEING INJURED WITH THE BROKEN GLASS. I DID SOME RESEARCH ON THIS, AND WITHIN 20 MINUTES I HAVE DISCOVERED OVER 200 OTHER CUSTOMERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. UNFORTUNATELY THE DEALERS NOR THE CUSTOMERS NOTIFY THE MANUFACTURE OF THE ISSUE. I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY OF THESE HAVE BEEN REPLACED BY WARRANTY, BUT IT SEEMS THAT THE FORD DEALERS SAY IT IS A $700 REPAIR BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO REPLACE THE WHOLE REAR WINDOW AND THERE FOR NO ONE WANTS TO TAKE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF FIXING IT. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE DUE TO THE RISK OF POSSIBLE BODILY INJURY AND DRIVING HAZARD RESTRICTING THE VISION WHILE DRIVING. PLEASE, COULD YOU HELP WITH RESOLVING THIS SERIOUS ISSUE. THANK YOU

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 75,000.

REAR WINDOW PANEL SHATTERED IN PLACE DUE TO THE DEFROSTER OVERHEATING. THERE HAD BEEN NO PRIOR DAMAGE TO THE WINDOW, AND THE WINDOW SHATTERED WHILE THE CAR WAS STATIONARY AND IDLING IN THE PARKING LOT AT MY WORK, ONLY TO DEFROST AND WARM UP. IN THE ATTACHED IMAGES, IT IS EVIDENT FROM THE PICTURE INSIDE THE VEHICLE THAT THE WINDOW HAS COMPLETELY CRACKED, AND FROM THE OUTSIDE, IT IS PROVEN THAT THERE WAS NO IMPACT OF A FOREING OBJECT THAT RESULTED IN THIS.
I HAVE BEEN HAVING ISSUES WITH MY BATTERY DISCHARGING . THE FORD DEALER AS CHANGED OUT THE BATTERY 3 TIMES & STILL HAVE THE SAME ISSUE . SOMETHING IN THE SYSTEM IS DRAINING THE BATTERY .THE DEALER HAS CHECKED IT AND STILL HAS NOT FOUND THE PROBLEM.
