MY F-150 HAS HAD 2 TURBOS IN 1 YEAR GO BAD ON IT, CAUSING ME TO NOT BE ABLE TO ACCELERATE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. LOSING GAS MILEAGE AND COOLANT ALSO. MY TIRE SENSOR HAS ALSO GONE BAD ON THE TRUCK AND CAUSED ME TO OVER INFLATE IT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD F-150. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO EXIT THE VEHICLE, THE AUTOMATIC RUNNING BOARD INADVERTENTLY RETRACTED. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT'S FOOT WAS LODGED BETWEEN THE RUNNING BOARD AND THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER (BUSS FORD LINCOLN, 111 NORTH ILLINOIS ROUTE 31, MCHENRY, IL 60050) WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS ALSO CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL FOR THAT SPECIFIC FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 51,000.
WHEN GOING UP A STEEP GRADE PULLING A CAMPER I LOST POWER AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON WHEN I WAS ON LEVEL GROUND THE POWER POWER CAME BACK IN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WENT OFF
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD F-150. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS ENGAGED IN PARK, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED AND TRAVELED TO THE FLOORBOARD. IN ADDITION, THE BRAKE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT BRAKE FLUID WAS ADDED TO THE VEHICLE; HOWEVER, THE BRAKE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO J.C. LEWIS FORD (9505 ABERCORN ST, SAVANNAH, GA 31406, (912) 216-2918) WHERE THE MASTER CYLINDER, BOOSTER VACUUM VALVES, VACUUM LINES, AND STOP LAMP SWITCH WERE REPLACED. IN ADDITION, THE BRAKE SYSTEM WAS FLUSHED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 54,989. *TT UPDATED 10/15/18*JB
ON THE MORNING OF JULY 6, 2018, WHILE DRIVING FROM SWAN VALLEY, ID TO IDAHO FALLS, ID I EXPERIENCED COMPLETE BRAKE FAILURE. THE WARNING LIGHT INDICATED LOW BRAKE FAILURE. I THOUGHT THAT I NEEDED TO ADD BRAKE FLUID AND HAD NO IDEA THAT I DID NOT HAVE ANY BRAKES. WHEN I TRIED TO SLOW DOWN, THE BRAKE PETAL WENT TO THE FLOORBOARD. I WAS SHOCKED AT THAT TIME. I PUT THE GEAR SHIFT INTO M AND DOWNSHIFTED FROM ABOUT 60 MPH TO A SAFER SPEED. I HAD TO DRIVE 30 MILES TO THE NEAREST DEALERSHIP FOR DIAGNOSIS AND REPAIR. I HAD TO USE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE AT LEAST 5 OR 6 TIMES TO SLOW THE VEHICLE TO A STOP. MOST OF THE 30 MILES WAS ON A TWO LANE US HIGHWAY 26. IN ORDER TO DEAL WITH LESS STOP AND GO SITUATIONS, I DROVE ON HIGHWAY 49 TO US 20 TO COMPLETE BY DRIVE TO BROADWAY FORD ON BROADWAY IN IDAHO FALLS. I WAS ABLE TO CAREFULLY DRIVE TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID THEY KNOW OF SIMILAR FAILURES AND IT INVOLVED THE MASTER CYLINDER AND A BOOSTER. THE REPRESENTATIVE SAID THAT THEIR WAS A RECALL ON THE 2013 AND 2014 MODELS, BUT NOT ON THE 2015 AS OF YET. FROM A PERSONAL NOTE IF MY WIFE HAD BEEN DRIVING THE TRUCK I AM CONFIDENT THEIR WOULD HAVE BEEN AN ACCIDENT
I WAS CROSSING A BUSY HIGHWAY BRIDGE AND THE TRUCK STARTED VIOLENTLY JERKING AND SHAKING, STUTTERING BARELY MOVING. I WAS ABLE TO LIMP OVER OUT OF ON COMING TRAFFIC. WAS ALMOST HIT FROM BEHIND. I TOOK TO FORD HOUSE TO HAVE REPAIRED. TURNS OUT THE THRODDLE BODY WAS DEFECTIVE AND NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. MY SPECIFIC VIN NUMBER IS NOT ON THE LIST EVEN THOUGH IT IS A 2015 MODEL VEHICLE. DO I NEED TO JOIN THE CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT TO BE REIMBURSED?
GOT THE BRAKE FLUID WARNING AND THEN WITHIN 5 MINUTES THE BRAKES WERE GONE, THE PEDAL WENT STRAIGHT TO THE FLOOR WHILE DRIVING. COMPLETE LOSS OF BRAKING THEREAFTER NEED TO BE TOWED TO DEALER.
TRANSMISSION DOWNSHIFTS VIOLENTLY FOR NO REASON. AT AROUND 20-30 MPH AND LIGHT THROTTLE IT FEELS LIKE YOU HIT A CONCRETE POST WHEN THIS HAPPENS. SHAKES THE WHOLE TRUCK VIOLENTLY
WHILE DRIVING ON A CITY STREET, BRAKE LEVEL LOW LIGHT ILLUMINATED FOLLOWED BY TOTAL LOSS BRAKES WHEN ATTEMPTING TO STOP. CHECKED MASTER CYLINDER AND IT WAS EMPTY. ADDED FLUID TO THE FULL LINE AND IT CONTINUED TO DRAIN AWAY. PROBLEM WAS FLUID LEAKING INTO THE BRAKE BOOSTER. A SIMILAR PROBLEM WAS EXPERIENCED IN THE 2013-2014 F150 WHICH RESULTED IN A RECALL BY FORD. PROBLEM OCCURRED TODAY (THE FOURTH OF JULY). ALL REPAIR SHOPS WERE CLOSED SO NO REPAIR CIST ARE AVAILABLE YET.
ONLY 53,00 MILES ON IT . WHEN I TURN KEY TO START IT, IT WHIRLS, I TURN IT TO OFF POSITION & THEN IT USUALLY WILL GO AHEAD & START. WHAT CAN BE WRONG WITH THAT LOW MILEAGE?
ALL LUG NUTS ARE SWELLING- HARD TO GET OFF. TECH TOLD ME IT WILL GET TO POINT I WILL HAVE TO HAVE THEM ALL REPLACED AND IF I WERE TO GET A FLAT TIRE THERE IS NO WAY I WOULD BE ABLE TO GET ANY OF THEM OFF AT THIS POINT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING 73 MPH WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ACTIVATED, THE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL WAS ACTIVATED AND THE VEHICLE STOPPED ABRUPTLY ON ITS OWN. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO CONTINUE DRIVING TO HIS DESTINATION. THE CONTACT ASSOCIATED THE FAILURE WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V614000 (FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE). THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BILLINGSLEY FORD INC. (LOCATED AT 3804 W BROADWAY ST, ARDMORE, OK 73401, (580) 226-3300) WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT IT NEEDED RECALIBRATING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 58,000.
WIPERS WOULD COME ON WHILE DRIVING OR SITTING STATIONARY BY THEM SELF WOULD NOT SHUT OF WITH WIPER CONTROL SWITH. I CALLED THEM 'GHOST WIPERS' ONLY HAD 22,000 MILES ON TRUCK HAD TO BUY WIPER/TURNSIGNAL SWITCH.
AT TIMES MY 2015 F150 LOSES ALL POWER AND GO TO A LOW POWER/ "LIMP MODE" SETTING. CAUTIONS RECEIVED ARE (1) SERVICE ADVANCE TRAC, (2) HILL DESCENT CONTROL FAULT, (3) HILL START ASSIST NOT AVAIL, (4) TRAACTION CONTROL FAULT LIGHT. WHEN THIS OCCURS, THE VEHICLE GOES TO A VERY LOW FORWARD POWER SETTING (<5MPH), RUNS EXTREMELY ROUGH TO THE POINT WHERE THE VEHICLE SHAKES AGGRESSIVELY. THIS PROBLEM IS INTERMITTENT IN NATURE, AND YESTERDAY WAS THE FINAL STRAW. THIS SUDDENT OSS OF POWER OCCURRED ON A BUSY ROAD AND I NEARLY GOT REAR ENDED. I IMMEDIATELY LIMPED OFF THE ROAD AND WAS ABLE TO GET THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP IN CASTLE ROCK, CO. CURRENTLY I'M STANDING BY FOR THE MECHANICS DIAGNOSIS. OF NOTE, I DO SEE SEVERAL SIMILAR WRITE-UPS OF THIS PROBLEM ON THE NHTSA SITE REGARDING THE 2015 F150. IRONICALLY, A SIMILAR OCCURRENCE (REF. NHSTSA ID#11083485) HAPPENED RIGHT UP THE ROAD FROM ME IN CASTLE ROCK, CO (4/5/18). I HOPE FORD IS AWARE OF THIS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS, RECURRING PROBLEM WITHIN ITS F150 FLEET.
DRIVING VEHICLE ON COUNTRY ROADS AT APPROXIMATELY 30MPH, A LOW BRAKE FLUID WARNING WAS OBSERVED. STOPPED VEHICLE AND CHECKED, FLUID WAS NEAR MIN FILL LINE IN RESERVOIR. TURNED AROUND TO RETURN HOME AND WITHIN LESS THAN 1 MILE ALL BRAKE FUNCTION CEASED AND UPON COASTING TO STOP, BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR WAS CHECKED AGAIN AND FOUND EMPTY. CHECKED UNDER VEHICLE AND AT EACH BRAKE CYLINDER, FOUND NO INDICATION OF LEAKING. HAD TRUCK TOWED TO DEALER (TIMBER FORD, HAYWARD WI). THEY CONFIRMED THE ISSUE WAS AN INTERNAL LEAK OF BRAKE FLUID IN THE MASTER CYLINDER. REPLACED BRAKE MASTER CYCLINDER, BRAKE BOOSTER AND BRAKE VACUUM PUMP ASSEMBLY FOR $1000.76 VEHICLE HAD 59,663 MILES AT THE TIME OF SERVICE. I WAS ABLE TO MANAGE MY WAY BACK HOME USING DOWNSHIFTING AND EMERGENCY BRAKING, HOWEVER, THIS CONDITION WOULD HAVE BEEN VERY DANGEROUS IF I WOULD HAVE MADE IT ANOTHER MILE FURTHER AND BEEN ON THE HIGHWAY AT HIGH SPEED AND MORE TRAFFIC.
PULLING OUT IN MOTION ON TO A BUSY STREET I LOST ALL POWER STEERING ALMOST GETTING INTO A MAJOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT. ONCE LOSING POWERS STEERING CAUSE ME TO GO IN OTHER LANES OF TRAFFIC. *TR
ATTEMPTING TO CHANGE A FLAT ON THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY, I WAS UNABLE TO GET THE LUG NUTS OFF BECAUSE THE FORD STANDARD WRENCH SUPPLIED WITH THE JACK KIT IS TOO SMALL AND WOULDN'T FIT ONTO THE NUTS EVEN WHEN TRYING TO FORCE IT ON BY BANGING ON IT WITH A ROCK. I WAS LEFT STRANDED ON THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS WAITING FOR AAA TO BRING THE CORRECT SIZED SOCKET. THE AAA SERVICE MAN SAID THAT HE HAD TO USE A 7/8 SOCKET. THIS SITUATION PUT ME IN UNNECESSARY DANGER AND IS A MAJOR INCONVENIENCE. I CALLED FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY SAID THERE IS NO OPEN RECALL AND THAT I WOULD NEED TO HAVE A FORD DEALERSHIP LOOK AT THE ISSUE. THEY ALSO SAID I WOULD MOST LIKELY HAVE TO PAY FOR A CORRECTLY SIZED LUG NUT WRENCH.
WHILE USING THE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL ON MY 2015 FORD F-150 (KING RANCH), MY TRUCK WILL CONFUSE A DUMP TRUCK AS A STOPPED OR SLOW MOVING VEHICLE IN FRONT OF MY TRUCK. THIS WILL HAPPEN IF A DUMP TRUCK IS IN THE LANE BESIDE ME OR IN OPPOSING LANES. THIS OCCURS AT SOW AND HIGH SPEEDS. MULTIPLE TIMES THIS HAS OCCURRED AT 65MPH+ IN TRAFFIC. THE TRUCK WILL VERY ABRUPTLY APPLY THE BREAKS AND THE COLLISION WARNING SYSTEM WILL ALERT. THIS HAS ALMOST CAUSED VERY SERIOUS WRECKS DUE TO THE SPEEDS THAT IT OFTEN OCCURS. THIS IS ALSO NOT A SELDOM OCCURANCE, IT HAPPENS EVERY TIME I PASS BY A DUMP TRUCK. IT WILL OCCUR ON ANY AND EVERY STREET. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A FORD DELEARSHIP AND THEIR SOLUTION HAD NO EFFECT ON THE ISSUE.
I WAS DRIVING ON 680 AND WITHOUT WARNING MY FRONT DRIVER SIDE TIRE FELL OFF. IT FELT LIKE A FLAT TIRE AND AS I WAS PULLING OVER THE TIRE WENT FLYING. NEW TRUCK UNDER WARRANTY 500$ MONTHLY PAYMENTS, THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN. I DROVE TRUCK FROM WI TO CA. HAD FORD INSPECT THE VEHICLE, THEY KNEW IT WAS NOT SAFE SAID IT WAS AND LET ME DRIVE IT AWAY 2600 MILES LATER TIRE PROBLEM HAPPENS. I TOOK IT BACK TO FORD FOR REPAIR, THEY REPLACED ALL LUG NUTS FROM CLOSED CAP TO OPEN FACE, I ASKED ABOUT LUG NUT CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT ANT THEY HAD NO COMMENT.
BRAKE PEDAL WENT DIRECTLY TO THE FLOOR THEN THE LOW BRAKE FLUID LEVEL CAME ON. THANK GOD I HAD JUST PARKED WHEN IT HAPPENED. I JUST DROVE HOME FROM A 2 HOUR LONG HIGHWAY TRIP WITH MY KIDS IN THE CAR. I GUESS I COULD BE CONSIDERED LUCKY THAT IT HAPPENED WHEN I PARKED AND NOT GOING 75 MPH.

IN ORDER TO STOP THE VEHICLE, THE EMERGENCY BRAKE WAS APPLIED. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT HE HAD TO DRIVE WITH THE EMERGENCY BRAKE APPLIED UNTIL HE REACHED HIS DESTINATION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 104,167.
DRIVING AT A HIGHWAY SPEED OF 65 MPH, THE BRAKE FLUID LIGHT APPEARED. I BEGAN TO SLOW DOWN, USING THE BRAKES TO PULL OVER,, WITHIN A FEW MINUTES I LOST ALL BRAKE ABILITY WHEN THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. I WAS ABLE TO COAST TO A SAFE LOCATION AND LOOK AT THE BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR WHICH WAS EMPTY.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE REAR SEAL ON THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER DISINTEGRATED, WHICH CAUSED THE BRAKE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 76,000. *TT
MY 2015 FORD F 150 , WILE DRIVEN 40 MPG , STEERING WHEEL WAS WHEEL TURNED TO THE LEFT .UPON RELEASE , IT FAILED TO RETURN BACK TO THE CENTER . I HAD FORCE THE STEERING WHEEL TO THE CENTER . I CONTACT FORD DEALER FOR DIAGNOSE BUT THE PROBLEM COULD NOT BE FIND . THIS OCCUR 1ST TIME AT 35,000 MILES , EVER SINCE OCCURRED MULTIPLE TIMES , DEALER COULD NOT FIND THE PROBLEM . MY WIFE AND I BOTH DRIVE THE TRUCK , WE HOPE NOT TO GET IN TO BAD ACCIDENT .
ON JUNE 15, 2018 I HAD A TONE ALERT AND MESSAGE ON THE DASH OF MY 2015 F150 APPEAR WHILE THE TRUCK WAS IN MOTION INDICATING A "LOW BRAKE FLUID" WARNING. I APPLIED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND IT APPEARED TO BE NORMAL. I TRAVELED A SHORT DISTANCE TO A PARKING LOT AND STOPPED. I RETURNED AFTER 20 MINUTES AND WHEN I STEPPED ON THE BRAKE TO START THE TRUCK THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FIREWALL. I RAISED THE HOOD AND SAW ABOUT 1/8 INCH OF FLUID IN THE RESERVOIR. I CALLED AAA HAVING THE VEHICLE TOWED TO TRI-LAKES FORD IN BRANSON MISSOURI. THE DIAGNOSIS WAS MASTER CYLINDER AND BRAKE BOOSTER FAILURE.
I WAS DRIVING ON A CITY STREET WHEN MY BRAKE FLUID WARNING LIGHT CAME ON. I STOPPED IN A PARKING LOT TO CHECK THE BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR AND DISCOVERED IT WAS ALMOST EMPTY. WHEN I RESTARTED THE TRUCK THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT COMPLETELY TO THE FLOOR, SO THE TRUCK HAD TO BE TOWED TO THE CLOSEST AUTO CENTER BECAUSE THERE WAS NO BRAKING ABILITY! WE WERE INFORMED THAT THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER HAD FAILED - THE BRAKE FLUID WAS LEAKING INTO THE BRAKE BOOSTER SENSOR. A BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SHOULD NOT FAIL ON A NEW VEHICLE THAT HAS ONLY BEEN ON THE ROAD 2.5 YEARS AND DRIVEN ONLY 48,000 MILES!

THE LOW BRAKE FLUID INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND THE BRAKE PEDAL TRAVELED TO THE FLOORBOARD WHEN DEPRESSED. AUTONATION FORD OF LITTLETON IN LITTLETON, COLORADO WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 51,000.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND APPROACHING A SEMI-TRUCK, THE FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE SYSTEM APPLIED THE BRAKES WITH THE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V614000 (FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE), AT AKINS FORD LOCATED AT 220 W MAY ST, WINDER, GA 30680. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED AFTER THE RECALL REPAIR. THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 45,000.*DT*JB
WE HAD A THROTTLE BODY ISSUE THIS SUMMER AND HAD TO HAVE IT REPLACED AND TOWED. DURING DRIVING, WE LOST ALL POWER, MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE! WHEN I ASKED FORD ABOUT IT, THEY SAID THEY DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT THE ISSUE; HOWEVER THEY ISSUED SEVERAL RECALLS REGARDING THIS. THIS TRUCK ISN'T IN THE RECALL, WHICH MAKES NO SENSE. IT IS EVIDENT THAT FORD HAS A MAJOR ISSUE WITH THEIR THROTTLE BODIES I HAVE SPOKEN WITH FORD SEVERAL TIMES, THEY ARE NOT HELPFUL AND ARE REFUSING TO PAY FOR THIS.
WHILE DRIVING MY TRUCK ON THE HIGHWAY AT 65 MPH, I ENTERED THE OFF RAMP AND APPLIED PRESSURE ON MY BRAKE PEDAL. MY BRAKES FAILED AND THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. I QUICKLY APPLIED MY PARKING BRAKE, LOCKING UP THE REAR WHEELS. WITH NO LOAD IN THE BED OF THE TRUCK, I SLID FOR WHAT SEEMED TO BE HUNDREDS OF FEET BEFORE COMING TO A STOP. FORTUNATELY, THERE WAS NO ONE IN FRONT OF ME DURING THE SKID. I TOOK IT TO A TIRE REPAIR VENDOR CLOSE BY, AND THEY DIAGNOSED IT AS A MASTER CYLINDER FAILURE THAT ALSO RUINED THE BRAKE BOOSTER. I CALLED FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND OPENED A CASE FOR MY VEHICLE. I HAVE READ THAT THE 2013 AND 2014 MODELS OF THE F150 WITH THE 3.5L ENGINE WERE RECALLED FOR THIS PROBLEM, BUT THAT 2015 MODELS SUCH AS MINE HAVE NOT BEEN INCLUDED AS OF THIS DATE.
2015 F150, LARIATE, CREW CAB. COMPLETELY LOST THE BRAKES WITHOUT ANY WARNING, PEDAL WENT STRAIGHT TO THE FLOOR, WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON. HAD TO HIT THE DITCH TO AVOID SLAMMING INTO THE BACK OF A SCHOOL BUS.
KEY HARD TO TURN ON....HARD TO REMOVE AND ALARM STAYS ON WITH KEY OUT ....KEY COMES OUT WITH CAR STILL RUNNING....ALL IN STATIONARY MOVEMENT
WHILE DRIVING, A SLIGHT RATTLE IN THE STEERING WAS NOTICED. THE LAST TWO DAYS, STARTING ON JUNE 5, 2018, THE STEERING WHEEL WAS NOTICEABLY LOOSE WITH LOTS OF AXIAL MOVEMENT IN THE STEERING SHAFT WITHIN THE STEERING COLUMN COVER. IT IS GETTING EXPONENTIALLY LOOSER EVERY TRIP. IN A SHORT TIME, THIS WILL NOT BE SAFE OR POSSIBLE TO DRIVE. THE STATE INSPECTION IN NEW HAMPSHIRE WILL NOT LIKELY PASS THIS AS IT IS NOW. IT IS DISAPPOINTING AND WILL LIKELY BE VERY EXPENSIVE TO HAVE FIXED. THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD COVER THIS KIND OF FAILURE, ESPECIALLY AT 37,000 MILES. I WOULD SIMPLY LIKE A DIAGNOSTIC AT A FORD DEALERSHIP, AT NO COST TO ME, WITH THE LIST OF PARTS WITH CORRESPONDING FORD PART NUMBERS WHICH I WILL NEED TO REPLACE WHEN I TEAR THIS DOWN. IF THEY WOULD LIKE TO REPAIR IT FOR ME, EVEN BETTER. I FIRST NOTICED THIS PROBLEM WHILE DRIVING EAST, APPROXIMATELY 50MPH ON NH STATE HIGHWAY 101 IN AMHERST, NH. WHEN LOOKING AT IT AGAIN IN THE PARKING LOT TODAY, THE WHEEL IS NOTICEABLY WOBBLING BY FEEL AND BY EYE. IT IS WITHIN MY BEST INTERESTS TO FIX THIS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
I LOST ALL BREAK FUNCTION WHILE TRAVELING 40 MPH AND HAD TO USE MY E-BRAKE TO COME TO A STOP. FORD AND MY LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP ADMIT THAT THE ISSUE WAS A DEFECTIVE BRAKE FLUID MASTER CYLINDER.
WHILE IN MOTION AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, OUR F-150 LARIAT SUPERCREW 4X4 EXPERIENCED COMPLETE LOSS OF BRAKING POWER. AFTER FILLING THE RESERVOIR WITH RECOMMENDED DOT-4 BRAKING FLUID, THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN CAREFULLY TO THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP, HARROLD FORD IN SACRAMENTO. UPON INSPECTION, THE TECHNICIAN IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT (VINCENT) DIAGNOSED A FAULTY MASTER CYLINDER, LEAKING FLUID INTO THE BOOSTER BEHIND. IN ADDITION TO THE MASTER CYLINDER, THE BOOSTER AND DIAPHRAGM ARE ALSO RECOMMENDED TO BE REPLACED AT A COST OF OVER $1,000. THE VEHICLE HAS 39,000MILES AND IS LOVINGLY CARED FOR.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BILLION AUTO FORD OF CLEAR LAKE (3101 WILLOW CREEK CT, CLEAR LAKE, IA 50428, (641) 903-2299) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY AND MOTOR ASSEMBLY FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 84,129.
DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY A BRAKE FLUID LOW MESSAGE CAME UP ON MY COMPUTER SCREEN. I IMMEDIATELY TESTED MY BRAKES AND THEY STILL WORKED SO I PLANNED ON PULLING INTO THE NEXT SERVICE STATION TO CHECK THE FLUID LEVEL AND POSSIBLY PURCHASE MORE FLUID. UPON HAVING TO SLOW DOWN A LITTLE FURTHER DOWN THE ROAD I PRESSED ON THE BRAKE AND THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. I IMMEDIATELY STARTED TO DEPRESS THE EMERGENCY BRAKE AND THROTTLE IT UNTIL I WAS SAFELY OFF THE ROAD AND COULD PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK. I WAS TOWED BACK TO MY SERVICE STATION WHERE MY MECHANIC LOOKED AT THE PROBLEM. MY MECHANIC TOLD ME THE MASTER CYLINDER HAD FAILED AND LEAKED INTO THE BRAKE BOOSTER. MY MECHANIC REPLACED THE MASTER CYLINDER. I DO HAVE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY WITH FORD AND AFTER STARTING THE PROCESS TO GET THE WORK COVERED UNDER WARRANTY I HAVE BEEN RECEIVING THE RUN AROUND. I WILL BE TRYING A DIFFERENT DEALERSHIP TODAY.
SOMETHING ATTACHED TO THE CRANKSHAFT CRACKED AND NOW THE ENTIRE ENGINE IS BEING REPLACED
I WAS DRIVING MY TRUCK AND THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR AND BRAKE LIGHT WARNINGS ON DASH CAME ON. BRAKE FLUID RESIVOIR WAS EMPTY. CHECKED EVERY BRAKE LINE AND CONNECTION, ALL WERE TOTALLY DRY WITH NO LEAKS ANYWHERE. I READ ONLINE THIS IS VERY COMMON AND I AM NOT SEEING ANY LEAKS BECAUSE THE MASTER CYLINDER IS LEAKING AND FILLING UP THE BOOSTER. I AM GOING TO CALL THE DEALER ON MONDAY BUT I HAVE 50K MILES SO IT'S OUT OF FACTORY WARRANTY AND I DO NOT HAVE AN ACTIVE RECALL, SEEMS MANY OTHERS ARE HAVING THIS PROBLEM AND IT'S A CRITICAL SAFETY CONCERN AND THE TRUCK CANNOT BE DRIVEN AS IS.
THE "THIRD BRAKE LIGHT" IS MELTING DUE TO EXCESS HEAT PUT OFF BY THE BULBS.NOT ONLY IS THE HOUSING MELTING BUT IT HAS ALLOWED LARGE AMOUNTS OF CONDENSATION IN WHEN IT RAINS. THIS PROBLEM WAS FIRST NOTICED ROUGHLY A YEAR AGO BUT CONTINUES TO GET WORSE. FORD NOT ONLY WANTS TO CHARGE ME FOR A REPAIR BUT THEY PLAN TO USE THE SAME PART WHICH I HAVE PERSONALLY SEEN WITH THE SAME ISSUE IN ABOUT A DOZEN 2015 F150S AS WELL AS READ ABOUT IT IN VARIOUS FORUMS ONLINE EFFECTING COUNTLESS 2015 F150 OWNERS. I HAVE PHOTOS THAT DATE BACK TO OVER A YEAR AGO THAT SHOW THE PROGRESSION OF THE ISSUE OVER TIME. MY FEAR IS THAT WITH TIME IT MAY CAUSE AN EVEN BIGGER ISSUE BY ALLOWING WATER TO COME IN AND EVEN BE A POTENTIAL FIRE HAZARD.

VEHICLE WILL HARD BRAKES AS IT THINKS THE CAR IN FRONT HAS STOPPED WHEN THERE IS NO CAR IN FRONT OF YOU. IT IS FALSELY SEEING THE TRUCK IN THE OTHER LANE TO YOUR SIDE. I HAD IT INTO FORD FOR ANOTHER ISSUE AND TOLD THEM. THEY SAID THERE WAS "AN UPDATE" BUT IT IS STILL DOING THE SAME THING. THIS IS DANGEROUS AS THE VEHICLE SLAMS ON THE BRAKES BY ITSELF ALMOST CAUSING CARS BEHIND YOU TO HIT YOU. THE VEHICLE SHOULD NOT HARD BRAKE DUE TO A TRUCK ON THE SIDE OF THE CAR!.
