WARNING NOTICE CAME ON AND A MINUTE LATER BRAKES COMPLETELY FAILED. LUCKILY I WAS DRIVING VERY SLOWLY ON A MILITARY BASE.
BRAKE PEDAL GOING ALL THE WAY TO FLOOR TOOK TO DEALER HE SAID NOTING WAS WRONG SAME DAY TOOK TO LOCAL SHOP THEY REPLACED THE MASTER CLYDNER AND CALIPERS THE TRUCK HAD 36400 MILES THE REPAIR SEAM TO FIX THE PROBLEM VERY STRANGE THAT THE DEALER DID NOT WANT TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE WHEN COMING TO A STOP BREAK PEDAL WITH PRESSURE WOULD GO TO THE FLOOR FELT LIKE THERE WAS NO PEDAL LEFT BY PUMPING BREAK PEDAL YOU COULD GET PRESSURE BACK BUT IT WOULD GO BACK TO FLOOR IT ALSO WOULD DO THIS STOPED AT RED LIGHT
AS I WAS DRIVING TO WORK ON A SECONDARY STREET WITH VERY LIGHT TRAFFIC (THANKFULLY), A WARNING FLASHED ON DASHBOARD REGARDING LOW BRAKE FLUID. WHEN I TOUCHED THE BRAKE PEDAL IT VIBRATED AND AS I DEPRESSED IT WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR WHERE I HAD MINIMAL STOPPING POWER. WITH VERY LIGHT TRAFFIC I WENT TO A NEARBY AUTO PARTS STORE AND PURCHASED / INSTALLED 1 QUART OF BRAKE FLUID. BY THE TIME I DROVE 3 MILES TO MY OFFICE, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS AGAIN ON THE FLOOR WITH MINIMAL STOPPING POWER. I INSTALLED A SECOND QUART OF FLUID WITH ABSOLUTELY NO SIGN OF A LEAK ANYWHERE. I HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE THEY ADVISED THE MASTER CYLINDER WAS LEAKING THE FLUID INTO THE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY. THEY REPLACED THE MASTER CYLINDER AND BOOSTER.
WHILE DRIVING ON INTERSTATE I355 AT 70 MILES PER HOUR WITHOUT REQUIRING BRAKES, I GOT A CHIME AND THEN A MESSAGE ON THE DASH THAT MY BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR WAS LOW, THEN MY BRAKE LIGHT WENT ON. I CHECKED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND IT WENT TO THE FLOOR WITHOUT STOPPING THE TRUCK. LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO TIME MY DISTANCE WITH TRAFFIC AND SWITCH LANES AND EXIT THE INTERSTATE. I MANAGED TO GET THE TRUCK INTO A PARKING LOT AND THEN CHECKED THE BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR. THE RESERVOIR WAS VERY LOW, BELOW THE MINIMUM LEVEL. I CONTACTED A COWORKER WHO BROUGHT BRAKE FLUID TO THE SITE AND WE FILLED IT AND PUMPED THE BRAKE PEDAL. IT SEEMED FINE SO I DROVE THE TRUCK AGAIN GOING TO WORK. WITHIN ANOTHER MILE THE CHIME AND WARNING CAME ON THE DASH AGAIN. AT THAT TIME I PULLED OUT OF TRAFFIC AND PARKED THE TRUCK AT A BANK PARKING LOT. I THEN CALLED FORD ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE AND HAD THE TRUCK BROUGHT TO THE NEAREST FORD DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICE. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME LATER THAT NIGHT THAT MY MASTER CYLINDER AND MY BRAKE BOOSTER BOTH FAILED AND CAUSED THE ISSUE. I CHECKED ON LINE AND FOUND THAT THE NHTSA IS INVESTIGATING THIS ISSUE ON 2015 FORD F150 TRUCKS WITH THE V6 ECO-BOOST ENGINE, WHICH IS THE SAME ENGINE IN MY TRUCK. BEFORE THE BRAKE ISSUE HAPPENED I DROVE APPROXIMATELY 5 MILES AND STOPPED AT SEVERAL RED LIGHTS AND INTERSECTIONS WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated that during a routine oil change, the contact was informed by the dealer that the oil pan was leaking and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that the oil pan was replaced eight times. The contact stated that there was an excessive amount of oil leaking from the oil pan and there were puddles of oil on the driveway. The contact stated that the oil was smeared under the vehicle. The contact stated that the check oil warning light had illuminated on one occasion. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.
ANY MODERN VEHICLE WITH A "VIRTUAL GAUGE CLUSTER" (IE NO ACTUAL GAUGES W/ BACKLIGHT) AUTOMATICALLY HAS THE GAUGE CLUSTER LIT UP. THIS POSES FATAL CONSEQUENCES AT NIGHT WHEN THE DRIVER DOESN'T REALIZE THAT THEIR HEADLIGHTS AREN'T ON, BECAUSE THEIR GAUGE CLUSTER IS ALREADY PRE-ILLUMINATED. I HAVE NEARLY BEEN RUN OVER THREE TIMES BY OTHER CARS DRIVING WITHOUT THEIR HEADLIGHTS ON, BUT WITH A BRIGHT VIRTUAL GAUGE CLUSTER. VEHICLE MANUFACTURERS NEED TO FIND A WAY TO USE AMBIENT-LIGHT-SENSORS TO TURN THE GAUGE CLUSTER LIGHTING OFF IN LOW LIGHT SITUATIONS, SO THAT IT PROMPTS THE DRIVER TO TURN THE HEADLIGHTS ON IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO READ THE GAUGES....AND NOT HIT ANY PEDESTRIANS, BICYCLISTS, OR OTHER VEHICLES.
WHEN GOIMG THROUGH ANY AUTOMATIC CAR WASH WATER SHOOTS IN REAR PART OF PANORAMIC SUNROOF, FORD SAYS THIS SI NORMAL. IT CAUSES ENOUGH WATER TO GET IN WHWN IT IS HOT OR COLD OUT TO CONDENSATE ON THE WINDOWS. IT IS ON REAR SEAL OF MOONROOF DRIVER SIDE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD F-150. WHILE MAKING A RIGHT TURN AT A STOP SIGN, THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED STALLING, A LOSS OF ENGINE POWER, AND SEVERE VIBRATION. ALL OF THE VEHICLE'S WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO FOLSOM LAKE FORD WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO GO INTO LIMP HOME MODE AND WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED A LEAKING DRIVER SIDE TURBO AND A BLOWN SOLENOID. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND STARTED THE PROCESS OF VEHICLE BUY BACK. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 52,000. *TR
I PARKED MY VEHICLE AT CAMPING WORLD. THERE WAS NO INDICATION THAT THERE WAS ANY PROBLEM WITH THE BRAKES. I CAME OUT ABOUT ONE HALF HOUR LATER AND GOT INTO MY VEHICLE. I STARTED THE ENGINE, PUT MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE PEDAL, PUT THE GEARSHIFT IN REVERSE AND WHEN I RELEASE THE PARKING BRAKE A WARNING CAME UP ON THE DASH THAT SAID "LOW BRAKE FLUID". THE VEHICLE HAD JUST STARTED MOVING IN REVERSE. I STEPPED DOWN ON THE SERVICE BRAKE PEDAL IN IT WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR, THERE WAS NO BRAKING ACTION AT ALL. I HADE TO USE THE PARKING BRAKE TO STOP. THIS FAILURE HAPPENED WITH NO WARNING AND WAS A TOTAL SERVICE BRAKE FAILURE. I FOUND NO LEAKS AT THE WHEELS OR ANYWHERE UNDER THE VEHICLE. MY NEXT STOP WAS TO PICKUP MY 26 FOOT TRAVEL TRAILER TO GET READY FOR VACATION. FORD EMERGENCY SERVICE HAD MY VEHICLE TOWED TO RON DUPRATT FORD IN DIXON CALIFORNIA FOR WARRANTY REPAIRS. I BELIEVE THE PROBLEM INVOLVES THE MASTER CYLINDER/BRAKE BOOSTER.
SPONGY BRAKES AND PEDAL GOES LOW. A VEHICLE REPORT WAS COMPLETED WITH THE TRUCK RUNNING CONNECTING TO FORD VIA MY CELL PHONE. A ISSUE WAS DETECTED. THEN RUN AGAIN. DETECTED AGAIN. THEN RUN AGAIN A HOUR OR SO LATER AND NOT DETECTED. I SEE A RECALL INQUIRY HAS BEEN OPEN ON 2015-2016 F150 WITH THE V6 3.6L ENGINE. MINE IS A 5.0V8.
2015 FORD F150, 12500 MILES. TRUCK STEERING WHEEL HANGS RANDOMLY IN A LEFT HAND CURVE. HAVE TO FORCE IT BACK TO CENTER. THIS HAPPENS AT SPEEDS OF 20 TO 35 MPH.HAS ALSO KEPT ASSISTING LEFT IN A LEFT TURN WHEN I STOPPED TURNING LEFT. IT IS A DANGEROUS ISSUE THAT NEEDS SERIOUS ATTENTION. I HAVE TAKEN TRUCK 2 TIMES TO MY LOCAL FORD DEALER, BERT WOLFE FORD. THE FIRST TIME THEY REPROGRAMMED THE STEERING. THE 2ND TIME I LEFT THE TRUCK FROM MONDAY MORNING GO FRIDAY AFTERNOON. THEY TEST DROVE THE VEHICLE AND CLAIM THEY CAN FIND NO FAULTS. I PICK THE TRUCK UP FROM THE DEALER, AND THE SAME ISSUE HAPLENS THREE TIMES ON THE WAY HOME. THEY REFUSE TO FIX ANYTHING WITHOUT THE COMPUTER THROWING A CODE.
SUDDEN TOTAL BRAKE FAILURE. NO ABILITY TO STOP VEHICLE. FORTUNATELY IN A RESIDENTIAL ZONE AND WAS TRAVELLING AT LOW SPEED.. BRAKE WAS FUNCTIONING NORMALLY WHEN DRIVEN TO NEIGHBORHOOD RETAIL SHOP. WHEN RE-ENTERED THE VEHICLE AND BEGAN TO ACCELERATE, BRAKE WARNING LAMP LIT AND I HAD NO BRAKING ABILITY!
THE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL SLAMS ON THE BRAKES AFTER JUST PASSING THE END OF A SEMI OR LARGE TRUCK. IT HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY BUT HAS CONTINUED OVER THE LAST 14 MONTHS. WE HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER 4 TIMES AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM. WE TRADED THE VEHICLE IN THIS LAST WEEK IT STILL HAS THE SAME PROBLEM .
BRAKE LIGHT CAME ON LOST ALL USE OF BRAKES WHITHIN 5 MINUTES WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH ON HIGHWAY. I WAS DRIVING WITH THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC ON A FLAT SURFACE.
WHEN USING THE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL (ACC) AND PASSING ALONGSIDE A SEMI-TRUCK IN THE LEFT LANE, THE SYSTEM MISTAKENLY DETECTS SOMETHING THAT CAUSES IT TO SLAM ON THE BRAKES AND SET OFF THE CRASH WARNING SYSTEM. A COUPLE OF SECONDS LATER IT ACCELERATED BACK TO YOUR ORIGINAL SPEED SETTING. BROUGHT THE TRUCK TO 2 FORD DEALERSHIPS AND 1 JUST SET THE SENSITIVITY LEVEL TO LOW AND THE OTHER ONE DID AN UPDATE TO THE CONTROL MODULE. NEITHER OF THESE HAS WORKED AND THE TRUCK CONTINUES TO DO THIS. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID THEY HAVE NO OTHER DIRECTION FROM FORD ON HOW TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE. THIS HAS HAPPENED OVER A DOZEN TIMES SINCE I HAVE OWNED THE VEHICLE AND IT IS JUST A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE THIS WILL CAUSE A MAJOR ACCIDENT ESPECIALLY WHEN I HAVE VEHICLES FOLLOWING BEHIND ME ALONGSIDE A SEMI.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD F-150. WHILE THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS ACTIVATED, THE VEHICLE BRAKED ABRUPTLY. THE COLLISION WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND A CHIMING SOUND WAS HEARD. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL DEALER (WATERTOWN FORD LOCATED AT 1600 9TH AVE SE WATERTOWN, SD 57201) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED, BUT NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND OPENED CASE NUMBER: 12350340. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 19,200.
APRIL 26, 2017 THE FOLLOWING COMPONENTS MALFUNCTIONED SIMULTANEOUSLY WHEN RETURNING TO TRUCK FROM SHOPPING: RUNNING BOARDS WOULD NOT DEPLOY OR RETRACT; AIRBAG(S) WARNING LIGHT ON DASH WAS LIT; CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM, BOTH HEAT AND COOLING WAS OUT OF SERVICE; FRONT WINDOWS WOULD NOT RESPOND TO CONTROLS; SEAT COMFORT FUNCTIONS DID NOT WORK; MIRROR ADJUSTMENT AND RETRACTION INOPERABLE; BACK-UP SYSTEM AND WARNINGS INOPERABLE; CROSS TRAFFIC SYSTEM FAULT; BLIND SPOT WARNING ERROR. WIRING HARNESSES REPLACES AND PICKED TRUCK UP MAY 12TH 2017. THAT EVENING WHILE DRIVING WITH A TRAILER, A MESSAGE APPEARED CONCERNING THE TRAILER BEING DISCONNECTED. THAT DISAPPEARED AND THEN THE FOLLOWING HAPPENED: WARNING MESSAGES BEGAN TO APPEAR ON THE DRIVER'S DISPLAY SCREEN SAYING, 'YOUR VEHICLE IS NOT IN PARK', 'CHECK MANUAL', 'DOWNHILL ASSIST NOT OPERATIONAL'. THEN THE LIGHTS WENT OUT, THE TRUCK LOST POWER (THE ENGINE WAS STILL RUNNING), IT SHIFTED INTO DOWNHILL ASSIST, FRONT WINDOWS DIDN'T WORK, PASSENGER SEAT MOVED BY ITSELF, DRIVER'S SEAT BEGAN TO GO BACK AS IF THE TRUCK WAS TURNED OFF, THEN IT RETURNED TO DRIVING POSITION, THE SYNC DISPLAY WENT DEAD AND CAME BACK ON, THE DRIVER'S DISPLAY SHUT DOWN AND CAME BACK ON. ALL THESE THINGS CONTINUED TO REPEAT AS BELLS SOUNDED AND I LIMPED 5 MILES BACK TO MY SON'S HOUSE. SAME PROBLEMS EXHIBITED WHEN SON TOOK TRUCK TO THE DEALER THE FOLLOWING AM WITHOUT TRAILER. ANOTHER HARNESS REPLACED. PICKED UP TRUCK AND DROVE WITHOUT INCIDENT ABOUT 800 MILES. WHEN STARTING TRUCK, TRAILER MESSAGE REOCCURRED. THERE WAS NO TRAILER ATTACHED. TWO DAYS LATER AFTER BEING PARKED, ALL THE 1ST SET OF FAILURES REOCCURRED. RUNNING BOARDS, AC-HEAT, AIR BAGS, WINDOWS, MIRRORS, CROSS TRAFFIC SYSTEM, BLIND SPOT WARNING WERE ALL INOPERABLE.
2015 FORD F-150 WHEELS GET STUCK ON THE HUBS VERY QUICKLY AND EASILY. WITH BOTH THE ALUMINUM SUMMER RIMS AND STEEL WINTER RIMS. THE REMOVAL OF THE WHEELS TAKE EXCESSIVE FORCE TO COMPLETE, MUCH MORE THAN WHAT THE VEHICLE'S INCLUDED JACK CAN HANDLE ON ROADSIDE. CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS AND VERY COSTLY WHEN CHANGING A FLAT TIRE.
WHILE PASSANGER SEAT IS OCCUPIED BY A FULLY GROWN ADULT WITH SEATBELT FASTENED, AIRBAG TURNS OFF, SEEMINGLY AT RANDOM. VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON CITY STREETS.
I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE, 15S29, TO REPROGRAM MY F-150'S CONTROL SYSTEM TO CORRECT AN ADAPTIVE CRUSE CONTROL ISSUE. I HAD THIS RECALL WORK PERFORMED BY MY FORD DEALERSHIP IN MARCH, 2017. I WAS ON A ROAD TRIP THIS WEEK (4-4-2017) AND WAS TRAVELING ON THE I-35 INTERSTATE AT 75 MPH PASSING A SEMI. ABOUT HALF WAY PASSED THE SEMI THE BRAKES WERE SUDDENLY APPLIED AND THE WARNING FLASHER (ON THE WINDSHIELD) ACTIVATED. I THOUGHT THIS WAS FIXED!! THANKFULLY THE VEHICLE BEHIND ME WAS ABLE TO BRAKE TO AVOID A REAR COLLISION. IS THERE STILL AN ISSUE WITH THIS? IF SO WHEN WILL IT BE FIXED?
REAR WINDOW SHATTERED. VEHICLE WAS PARKED. I WAS AWAY FROM THE VEHICLE WORKING AND WHEN I RETURNED I NOTICED THE REAR WINDOW WAS SHATTERED OUTWARD. OUTSIDE TEMP WAS 60 DEGREES F, AND THERE WAS LITTLE TO NO WIND. CENTER SLIDER WAS INTACT, BUT THE LARGE GLASS WAS BLOWN OUTWARD IN THE CENTER OF THE TWO LARGEST AREAS. SEE PHOTOS.
ALARM WILL RANDOMLY GO OFF WHEN CAR IS LOCKED. THIS INCLUDES THE HAZARD LIGHTS FLASHING WITH NO ALARM GOING OFF. I KNOW OF TWO OTHER FORD OWNERS WHO HAVE THE SAME MAKE AND MODEL AND THEIR TRUCKS ALSO DO THIS.
WITH THE VEHICLE STOPPED, THE BRAKE PEDAL SLOWLY FADES TO THE FLOOR WHEN APPLYING A FIRM STEADY PRESSURE. AT THIS TIME, THERE IS NO APPARENT LOSS OF HOLDING POWER ONCE THE PEDAL HAS FADED. WITH NORMAL DRIVING THE BRAKES WORK AND THE VEHICLE DOES STOP. WHEN THE PEDAL HAS FADED TO THE FLOOR IT CAN BE BROUGHT BACK UP BY PUMPING THE PEDAL. TESTING HAS NOT BEEN DONE TO DETERMINE THE AMOUNT OF HOLDING POWER THAT REMAINS OR TO VALIDATE WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IN A HARD-BRAKING SCENARIO. THE PROBLEM WAS FIRST NOTICED ON 3/17/2017 AND IS COMPLETELY REPEATABLE EVERY TIME IT IS CHECKED. THE DEALER HAS AGREED WITH THESE OBSERVATIONS BUT HAS STATED THAT FORD WILL NOT BACK A REPLACEMENT OF THE MASTER CYLINDER BECAUSE IT IS WORKING.
UPON WALKING UP TO MY CAR TO GO TO THE GYM I NOTICED THAT MY REAR WINDOW WAS COMPLETELY SHATTERED BUT IN ONE SINGLE PIECE. THERE WAS NO SIGN OF IMPACT. AS SOON AS I OPENED A DOOR THE ENTIRE WINDOW COLLAPSED. THIS WAS ON A HOT DAY AND TRUCK WAS NOT ON , PARKED ON A CITY STREET NOT IN MOTION. I REACHED OUT TO FORD AND THEY SAID THEY WON'T COVER IT. THIS HAPPENED BEFORE ON THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW.
REAR WINDOW SHATTERED WHEN USING DEFROSTER - REMOTE STARTED VEHICLE. VEHICLE WAS IN DRIVEWAY AND I WAS RIGHT BESIDE IT WHEN I HEARD THE REAR WINDOW MAKE A POP SOUND.
WINDSHIELD CRACKED WITHOUT ANY IMPACT FROM ROAD DEBRIS WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY AT 65 TO 70 MPH IN 70 DEGREE CLEAR WEATHER ON MARCH 8, 2017. CRACK STARTED AFTER A VERY LOUD NOISE, LIKE A GUN SHOT, AT THE UPPER EDGE OF THE WINDSHIELD RIGHT AT THE ROOF LINE JUST ABOVE REARVIEW MIRROR AND EXPANDED ABOUT 8 INCHES AT A 60 DEGREE ANGLE THEN RAN AT 180 DEGREE ANGLE ANOTHER 14 INCHES BEFORE HEADING BACK TO THE TOP LIP OF THE WINDSHIELD AT A 90 DEGREE ANGLE. PROFESSIONAL BODY & GLASS REPAIR SHOP COULD NOT FIND IMPACT OF ANY KIND ANYWHERE ON THE WINDSHIELD APPEARED LIKE A GENERAL STRESS FRACTURE NOT ASSOCIATED WITH IMPACT OR EXCESSIVE STRESS MORE LIKE A FLAW IN THE WINDSHIELD STRUCTURE. TRUCK HAD APPROXIMATELY 26,000 MILES ON ODOMETER HAS NEVER BEEN USED TO TOW NOR HAS IT BEEN OFF ROAD. HAVE WINDSHIELD FRACTURES NOT ASSOCIATED WITH IMPACT BEEN REPORTED ON OTHER ALUMINUM BODY FORD PICKUPS . WE TOOK POSSESSION OF OUR TRUCK IN JUNE OF 2015. OUR TRUCK IS A SUPER CREW CAB 2 WHEEL DRIVE 2.7 LITER V6 LARIAT MODEL. REPAIR WAS A LITTLE OVER $500 NOT COVERED BY INSURANCE. THESE WINDSHIELDS HAVE SOUND PROOFING MATERIAL INSIDE THEM ACCORDING TO THE BODY SHOP AND SOMEWHAT UNUSUAL.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD F-150. WHEN A PAY LOAD OF CEMENT WAS PLACED ONTO THE VEHICLE AND DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE VEERED FROM SIDE TO SIDE UNCONTROLLABLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OPERATING AS DESIGNED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 36,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
ON 2/23/2017 WHILE DRIVING 50-55 MPH ON AN EXPRESSWAY, THE VEHICLE THROTTLE BECAME UNRESPONSIVE. THE TACHOMETER STILL SHOWED ABOUT 1,000 RPMS, DASH LIGHTS BEGAN ILLUMINATING, ADVANCETRAC WAS DISABLED, HILL START ASSIST WAS DISABLED, THE WRENCH LIGHT ENABLED AND A CHECK MANUAL LIGHT ENABLED. THERE ALSO WAS A HARD SHIFT OR CLUNK SOUND THAT CAME FROM THE TRANSMISSION. AFTER SHIFTING THE TRUCK INTO NEUTRAL WHILE COASTING, I ATTEMPTED TO TURN OFF AND RESTART THE ENGINE. ENGINE SUCCESSFULLY RESTARTED, BUT THE THROTTLE REMAINED UNRESPONSIVE AND ALL WARNING LIGHTS MENTIONED ABOVE RETURNED. I PULLED THE TRUCK SAFELY TO THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY, AND ATTEMPTED TO RESTART AGAIN. THIS TIME THE ENGINE SPUTTERED AND THEN I TURNED IT OFF. NEXT I REMOVED THE KEY, OPENED THE DOOR, CLOSED THE DOOR, LOCKED THE TRUCK, WAITED FOR THE ACCESSORY LIGHTS TO TURN OFF, UNLOCKED THE TRUCK, OPENED AND CLOSED THE DOOR AND THEN RESTARTED, AND THE TRUCK SEEMED TO CLEAR THE PROBLEM. I TOOK THE TRUCK TO THE DEALER AND THEY LATER TOLD ME THE TRUCK IS NOT STORING ANY ERROR CODES IN IT'S MEMORY.
BRAKE FLUID LEAKED FROM BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER INTO BRAKE BOOSTER. RESULT WAS LOSS OF BRAKES VERY RAPIDLY. VEHICLE WAS MOVING WHEN MY WIFE NOTICED THE LOSS OF BRAKES. LEAK COULD HAVE OCCURRED EITHER WHILE TRUCK WAS STATIONARY OR MOVING.
THE ENGINE IDLES VERY LOW TO WERE IT SHUTS OF AT A STOP LIGHT.
ON THREE OCCASIONS NOW WHILE ACCELERATING THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY LOOSES ALL POWER. THERE HAVE BEEN AUDIBLE WARNING SOUNDS AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS, ALSO MESSAGES SUCH AS HILL ASSIST NOT AVAILABLE. ON ALL OCCASIONS I WAS TURNING ON TO A STREET FROM A COMPLETE STOP AND ACCELERATING. TURNING OFF THE ENGINE SEEMS TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. I HAVE BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER TWICE NOW.
WHILE DRIVING TO WORK. BRAKE FLUID LOW WARNING ILLUMINATED AND COMPLETE LOSS OF BRAKES. THIS CAME ON VERY FAST. WITHIN 10 MINS OF LEAVING HOME. FURTHER INSPECTION, ONCE AT MY OFFICE, FOUND THERE WAS NO BRAKE FLUID LEAKING FROM THE LINES, CALIPERS, OR EXTERIOR OF MASTER CYLINDER. BRAKE FLUID MUST HAVE LEAKED INTO THE BOOSTER.
DRIVERS SIDE DOOR WILL NOT LATCH IN COLD WEATHER. IT HAS LEFT MY TRUCK STRANDED MULTIPLE TIMES. AS SOON AS THE OUTSIDE TEMP GETS ABOVE FREEZING THE DOOR WILL LATCH AS NORMAL. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE THAT FORD NEEDS TO ADDRESS.
THIS IS THE FOURTH TIME I'M REPORTING THIS. ALTHOUGH MY VEHICLE SHOULD HAVE QUALIFIED FOR FORD'S RECALL 15S29, I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED. BUT I HAVE MENTIONED IT TO MY DEALER 3 OR 4 DIFFERENT TIMES. THEY ALWAYS TELL ME THERE'S NOTHING THEY CAN DO. SO HERE'S THE ISSUE. THIS IS NOT SAFE. THE DEALERSHIPS SAY THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO TO FIX MY TRUCK, YET THE ISSUE KEEPS HAPPENING.

THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 24,000.
WHEN THE WEATHER TEMP FALLS BELOW ZERO IN THE NEGATIVES. MY PASSAGERS SIDE DOORS FREEZE SHUT. THEY WILL NOT UNLATCH OR UNLOCK, THE CONDITION MAKES A VEHICLE UNSAFE FOR EMERGENCY EXITS.
DRIVERS DOOR LATCH WILL NOT KEEP DOOR SHUT. SOME COLD MORNINGS THE TRUCK CAN NOT BE USED. THE DOOR WILL OPEN, BUT NOT LATCH SHUT. WHEN MOVING IN REVERSE OR DRIVE, FROM A STOP, THE REAR END MAKES A LOUD POPPING SOUND. (THOUGHT MY SPARE TIRE HAD COME LOOSE. VERIFIED THAT WAS NOT THE CASE) WHILE DRIVING ON A ROADWAY AND TURNING CORNERS, YOU CAN FEEL THE REAR END SWAY AS IF THE AXLE SHAFTS ARE TOO LONG WHICH CAUSES THE REAR END TO FEEL LOOSE. ON FEBRUARY 17, 2016 I EXPERIENCED TOTAL BRAKE LOSS OF MY 2015 F-150. THE BRAKE LOSS OCCURRED AT LOW SPEED, LESS THAN 10MPH. I HAD TO FRANTICALLY PUMP THE BRAKES TO STOP ON A FLAT LEVEL SURFACE. WHERE THE BRAKE LOSS OCCURRED THERE WAS NO SNOW OR ICE. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE FORD DEALER AND THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT FIND ANY ISSUES. NO WARNING LIGHTS TURNED ON. THE VEHICLE BRAKES FUNCTIONED NORMALLY UNTIL TODAY WHEN I AGAIN EXPERIENCED TOTAL LOSS OF BRAKES! AGAIN IT WAS AT LOW SPEED, THIS TIME ON A STEEP GRADE WITH MINOR SNOW ACCUMULATION. THE ANTI LOCK BRAKES DID NOT ACTIVATE AND THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. I WAS BARELY ABLE TO STOP THE VEHICLE WHEN I REACHED A LEVEL SURFACE. AS OF TODAY THE BRAKE PEDAL CONTINUES TO GO TO THE FLOOR. THE VEHICLE BRAKES SEEM TO FUNCTION OK AT HIGH SPEEDS, HOWEVER WHILE PARKED AT A STOP LIGHT THE PEDAL CONTINUES TO DEPRESS. I CALLED FORD BECAUSE I AM VERY CONCERNED ABOUT WHAT IS HAPPENING., HOWEVER THEY DO NOT SEEM TO TAKE THE COMPLAINT SERIOUSLY. I ASKED THEM TO TOW THE VEHICLE TO A DEALERSHIP BECAUSE IT'S UNDER WARRANTY AND I ALSO HAVE ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE AND AN EXTENDED WARRANTY. THIS IS A KNOW ISSUE THAT FORD HAS FAIL TO RESOLVE.. CHROME PLATED LUGS NUTS ARE BECOMING SWOLLEN AND THE ISSUED LUG WRENCH WILL NOT WORK ON THE LUGS.. THE LOCAL SERVICE DEPART STATED THE FORD REFUSED TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM.. THE TRUCKS DOORS AND LOCKS OFTEN WILL FREEZE IN COLD WEATHER. THE LOCKS MIGHT NOT UNLOCK THE DOORS, SOMETIMES YOU'LL HEAR THE ACTUATOR TRYING TO UNLOCK THE DOOR, OTHER TIMES IT IS SO FROZEN YOU WON'T EVEN HEAR THE ATTEMPT. THE DOORS CAN'T BE UNLOCKED WITH THE KEY EITHER. ONCE YOU'VE HEATED THE MECHANISM ENOUGH TO ENTER THROUGH ONE OF THE DOORS (PER INTERNET POSTINGS AND SERVICE BULLETINS, THE PROBLEM IS ONLY WITH CREW CABS) THE LATCH THAT KEEPS THE DOOR CLOSED IS STILL FROZEN IN THE OPEN POSITION MEANING YOU CAN'T CLOSE AND LATCH THE DOOR. READING INTERNET POSTS ABOUT THE PROBLEM, I SEE THAT PEOPLE ARE DRIVING AROUND HOLDING THEIR DOORS CLOSED AND DOING OTHER DUMB AND UNSAFE THINGS. I SPOKE WITH FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WAS TOLD MY ISSUE HAD BEEN NOTED AND THAT I SHOULD CHECK WITH THE DEALER SERVICE MANAGER AT THE DEALERSHIP THAT ISN'T GETTING ANY PARTS. SOUNDS LIKE A RUNAROUND. ANYWAY, FORD HAS ISSUED TWO SERVICE BULLETINS TSB 15-0051 AND THEN 1TSB 16-0155. THEY KNOW THERE IS A PROBLEM BUT THEY DON'T SEEM TO CARE ABOUT IT. WHEN YOU LIVE IN A FREEZING CLIMATE AND YOU CAN'T OPEN OR WORSE, CLOSE YOUR DOOR, IT'S A SAFETY ISSUE.

I WAS IN THE LEFT LANE OF A TWO LANE LEFT TURN INTERSECTION. WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN I STEPPED ON THE GAS AND TURNED THE STEERING WHEEL FOR A NORMAL LEFT HAND TURN; HOWEVER THE TRUCK CONTINUED TO MOVE IN STRAIGHT LINE AND DID NOT TURN WITH THE STEERING WHEEL. I THEN TURNED THE STEERING WHEEL FOR A HARD LEFT AND THE TRUCK STILL CONTINUED STRAIGHT, THEN AFTER A DELAY I FELT THE VEHICLE WHEELS TURN LEFT; LUCKILY WITHIN ENOUGH TIME TO PREVENT THE TRUCK FROM STRIKING THE CAR THAT WAS IN THE RIGHT, LEFT TURN LANE WHO WAS MAKING THE TURN AS WELL. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS SITUATION HAS OCCURRED WHERE THE STEERING WHEEL AND THE VEHICLE WHEELS WERE NOT IN SYNC AND HAD ENDANGERED THE SAFETY OF THE PASSENGERS.

I AM UNABLE TO OPEN THE DOOR FROM THE INTERIOR AND/OR EXTERIOR WHEN THIS OCCURS. THE DOORS LOCKS ALSO FAIL TO CATCH WHEN TRYING TO CLOSE THE DOORS AND SECURING THEM.
