2016 FORD F150 WITH ~12000 MILE EXPERIENCED COMPLETE BRAKE FAILURE WITH NO WARNING INDICATORS. AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT THE VEHICLE WAS BEING DRIVEN IN A HIGH TRAFFIC CITY STREET, COMING UP TO A STOP LIGHT WITH TRAFFIC IN FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. THE EMERGENCY BRAKE WAS USED TO SLOW VEHICLE. THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT COMPLETELY TO THE FLOOR. TRUCK WAS TOWED TO LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP AND THE MASTER CYLINDER AND BOOSTER WERE REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY. THE PARTS WERE REPLACED WITH IDENTICAL NEW COMPONENTS, BUT NO GOOD EXPLANATION OF WHY THE COMPONENTS FAILED SO EARLY IN THE VEHICLE'S LIFE.
TODAY WHEN I TURNED ON THE REAR WINDOW DEFOGGER IN MY 2012 FORD F150 THE INDICATOR LIGHT DID NOT COME ON. AFTER THREE OR FOUR TRIES IT CAME ON. WITHIN MINUTES I HEARD A POP AND THE GLASS ON PASSENGER SIDE OF THE REAR SLIDER POPPED. THE GLASS IS IN TACT BUT BROKEN.
With regard to your inquiry into ford bronco engine failures IT IS NOT A ISOLATED PROBLEM ! My 2016 has the same engine. At 3000 miles it almost shook off my truck while driving. Ford had to replace entire engine At 30,000 mile mark engine failed again and ford had to replace half the engine These engines are dangerous junk
AT 25 DEGREES F OR COLDER THE POWER DOOR LOCKS DO NOT WORK. ON TWO OCCASIONS THE PASSENGER DOORS HAVE NOT LATCHED SHUT AFTER DOZENS OF ATTEMPTS TO CLOSE THE DOOR.

I WAS DRIVING NORTH ON HARLEM APPROACHING THE CROSS STREET FOREST VIEW WHICH HAS AN ACTIVE GREEN LIGHT SO AS I'M TRAVELING AT 30 MPH WHICH IS THE SPEED LIMIT THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME SLAMS ON THE BRAKES I AM APPROXIMATELY 100 FEET AWAY WHEN I SLAM ON MY BRAKES MY TRUCK IS IN 4X4 DUE TO THE LIGHT RAIN AND WHEN I SLAM ON THE BRAKES THE VEHICLE DOES NOT STOP AT CONSEQUENTLY I SLAM INTO THE GMC IN FRONT OF ME AND FILE AN INSURANCE CLAIM. *TR

THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V652000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES). THE PART TO DO THE RECALL REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE LOCAL DEALER COULD NOT CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WOULD BE AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 200. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.

3 EPISODES ON THE SAME TRIP--- BRAKES WERE VERY SOFT AND REQUIRED EXTRA LONG STOPPING DISTANCE, BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. THEN DRIVING ON RURAL AND SUBURBAN ROADS- TRIED TO BRAKE AT A STOP LIGHT, BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR- TRUCK DID NOT STOP AND I WENT RIGHT THROUGH THE INTERSECTION, ALMOST HITTING VEHICLES. THEN ON RURAL ROAD TRIED TO STOP AS I WAS COMING UPON A FARM VEHICLE. BRAKES DID NOT WORK AND I HAD TO SWERVE AROUND THE VEHICLE TO AVOID HITTING IT. WHEN BRAKES WERE PUMPED THE STOPPING POWER RETURNED SLIGHTLY. WAS ABLE TO GET MY TRUCK TO MY WORK LOCATION AND THEN CALLED FORD DEALERSHIP WHO TOLD ME TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED. *TR
10/14/2016- ON 2 OCCASIONS APPLIED BRAKES TO SLOW DOWN AND STOP. THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT STRAIGHT TO THE FLOOR.1ST TIME WAS TO SLOW DOWN TO TURN CORNER, BRAKE PEDAL WENT STRAIGHT TO FLOOR. HAD TO MAKE WIDE TURN TO SLOW DOWN. WAS LUCKY NO VEHICLES IN EITHER LANE. 2ND TIME WAS COMING TO RED LIGHT INTERSECTION, APPLIED BRAKES AND AGAIN STRAIGHT TO THE FLOOR. HAD TO PUMP BRAKE TO TAKE HOLD. VEHICLE HAD TO BE FLATBED TOWED 1.5 HOURS TO HOME. AFTER INSTALLED GPS SYSTEM WAS VERIFIED WORKING CORRECTLY. THIS IS COMPANY VEHICLE, SO AGAIN HAD TO BE TOWED TO FORD GARAGE. THEY JUST PERFORMED A MULTI POINT INSPECTION, CHECKED ALL HOSES, NO LEAKS. ADVISED FORD GARAGE OF YOUR REPORT ON LOSS OF BRAKING ABILITY, THEIR RESPONSE "YES WE KNOW BUT WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSE TO DO, JUST START REMOVING PARTS"? WHILE OPERATING MY 2016 FORD F150 LARIAT FX4 IN 4A MODE, I HEAR A AUDIBLY LOW NOISE EMANATING FROM THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE AS I ACCELERATE. THIS NOISE IS ACCOMPANIED BY A SLIGHT VIBRATION THAT IS FELT TRANSMITTING THROUGH THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. THE NOISE AND VIBRATION IS ONLY DETECTED WHILE ACCELERATING AND ONLY WHILE ENGAGED IN 4A MODE. THERE IS NO DETECTABLE NOISE OR VIBRATION IN 2H, 4H, OR 4L MODES. THIS CONDITION IS PRESENT UNDER NORMAL OPERATING CONDITIONS AND DURING IDEAL WEATHER CONDITIONS. DRIVING ON FLAT, STRAIGHT HIGHWAYS AND ROADS, NOR TURNING OR TOWING DOES NOT AFFECT THE NOISE OR VIBRATION THAT I AM DETECTING FROM THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE. *TR

2016 F-150 XLT 2.7L ECOBOOST MODEL. 6060 MILES ONLY! PARKED AS USUAL ON DRIVEWAY FACING DOWNGRADE. I ALWAYS ACTIVATE THE PARKING BRAKE DUE TO THE INCLINE OF THE DRIVEWAY. STARTED UP TRUCK TO WARM WHILE I LOADED INFANT AND GEAR INTO CAB. WAS READY TO DRIVE AWAY WHEN I NOTICED THAT THE PARKING BRAKE INDICATOR WAS NOT LIT ON THE DASH. FOUND IT ODD BUT DIDN'T THINK TWICE OF IT. PUSHED BRAKES, DISENGAGED PARKING BRAKE LIKE USUAL ANYWAYS, AND PUT IN DRIVE. RELEASED BRAKES BUT TRUCK DID NOT ROLL FORWARD, EVEN BEING ON DOWNGRADE. DOUBLE CHECKED I WAS IN DRIVE AND REVVED SLIGHTLY BUT NO FORWARD MOVEMENT. PUT IN NEUTRAL AND NO MOVEMENT. PUSHED BRAKE PEDAL, PUT IN PARK, ATTEMPTED TO ENGAGE AND DISENGAGE PARKING BRAKE, THEN REPEATED DRIVE SCENARIO. NOTHING WORKED. PARKED AND TURNED TRUCK OFF. UPON RESTART, WARNING ON DASH POPPED UP SHOWING, "PARK BRAKE MALFUNCTION SERVICE NOW." HAD TO ATTEMPT 3RD TRY TO DISENGAGE PARKING BRAKE. FINALLY IT DISENGAGED AND I DROPPED OFF WIFE AND CHILD AND WENT STRAIGHT TO DEALERSHIP. WARNING ON DASH WAS STILL THERE WHEN I DROPPED IT OFF. DEALER VERIFIED CONCERNS AND BCE TESTED FOUND CODES C1034:78 C2007:1D AND C2008:1D. PINPOINT TESTS PERFORMED. INSPECTED REAR BRAKES, WIRING, CONNECTORS - ALL LOOKED OK. RESET SYSTEM. TSB ON 2015 MODELS FOR FAULTY PARKING BRAKES BUT DOES NOT APPLY TO 2016 MODELS YET. NOTHING DEALER COULD DO SINCE IT WAS NOT LISTED UNDER THIS TSB OTHER THAN RESET COMPUTER AND HOPE IT DOESN'T HAPPEN AGAIN. SEEMS LIKE SAME PART(S) IS BEING USED ON 2016 MODEL BUT TSB DOESN'T APPLY TO 2016 MODEL. PLEASE LOOK INTO EXPANDING TSB TO COVER 2016 MODELS. FAULTY ELECTRONIC PARKING BRAKE IS UNACCEPTABLE. NOT BEING ABLE TO DISENGAGE IT WHILE PARKED IS ONE THING, BUT HAVING IT POSSIBLY ENGAGE WHILE DRIVING CAN BE CATASTROPHIC.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE MASTER CYLINDER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 7,000.
THE TRUCK HAS HAD ISSUES WITH THE HILLASSIST FAILURE, THEN CHECK ENGINE LIGHT THEN WRENCH LIGHT CAUSING THE TRUCK TO GO FROM 45 MPH TO 2MPH WITHOUT NOTICE. THE THROTTLE BOTTLE ALSO WENT OUT ON THIS TRUCK CAUSING THE TRUCK TO GO FROM 45 MPH TO 2 MPH IN TRAFFIC, THIS IS THE FORD WRENCH LIGHT. ON TWO SEPERATE OCCASIONS, WHEN STARTING THE TRUCK AND RELEASING THE PARKING BRAKE, A PARKING BRAKE MALFUNCTION LIGHT FLASHES, THEN WHEN TRYING TO MOVE THE TRUCK INTO GEAR IT WILL MOVE FROM PARK TO DRIVE TO REVERSE, BUT WILL NOT MOVE. PLEASE CONTACT ME ASAP. I HAVE A DETAILED LIST OF DATES AND OCCURANCES ALONG WITH ALL EMAIL CONVERSATIONS WITH FORD. FORD SOES NOT BELIEVE THIS IS A PROBLEM AND SEEMS TO IGNORE THE SAFETY CONCERNS.

THE DEALER FOUND NOTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE; HOWEVER, THE FAILURES RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE SAME DEALER SEVERAL TIMES AND, DURING ONE OF THE VISITS, THE ENGINE WAS REPLACED WITHOUT THE CONTACT'S CONSENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT COMPLETELY REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 40.
2016 FORD F150 XLT W/3.5 EB APPROX. 6,700 MILES. THIS ALL STARTED ABOUT A WEEK AGO. WHEN PRESSING ON THE BRAKE PEDAL, IT GETS HARD INITIALLY, THEN SLOWING GOES TO THE FLOOR. ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS WHEN PRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL IT WENT STRAIGHT TO THE FLOOR AND THEN HAD TO BE PUMPED TO STOP THE TRUCK. I HAVE CHECKED THE BRAKE FLUID LEVEL ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS AND IT HAS NEVER BEEN LOW. I CAN REPLICATE THE PEDAL GOING TO FLOOR IN ALL SITUATIONS, IN PARK, WHILE DRIVING, EVERY TIME THE PEDAL IS PRESSED IT ACTS THE SAME. FIRM PEDAL AT FIRST, THEN SLOWLY TO THE FLOOR. ON OCCASION, ONCE THE PEDAL GETS TO THE FLOOR IT HAS TO BE PUMPED TO KEEP ENOUGH PRESSURE ON THE ROTORS TO PREVENT THE TRUCK FROM ROLLING FORWARD. *TR
BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR WITH VERY LITTLE STOPPING POWER. I WAS ABLE TO STOP WITHOUT AN ACCIDENT OCCURRING. THERE WERE NO INDICATOR LIGHTS SAYING THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE BRAKES. DEALER SAID THE MASTER CYLINDER NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. IT IS BEING REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY.

THE MORNING OF 5 OCTOBER 2016 I NOTICED MY BRAKE PEDAL WAS SEEMINGLY SINKING TO THE FLOOR WHILE BRAKING. IT SEEMED LIKE I WAS LOOSING SOME BRAKE POWER WHILE DESCENDING MY NEIGHBORHOOD STREET AT 15 MPH. IN THE EVENING I WAS RETURNING HOME FROM WORK, TRAVELING 55 MPH, I BEGAN TO SLOW DOWN FOR AN UPCOMING RED LIGHT AND WHILE ATTEMPTING TO STOP AT THE INTERSECTION THE BRAKE PEDAL DEPRESSED TO THE FLOOR AND THE TRUCK FAILED TO STOP AT THE LIGHT. I ROLLED ALL THE WAY INTO THE INTERSECTION, BUT FORTUNATELY DID NOT GET HIT BY ONCOMING TRAFFIC. I TOOK THE VEHICLE IN FOR SERVICE AT A FORD DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT THIS MORNING. THIS VEHICLE WAS BOUGHT BRAND NEW IN MAY 2016 AND ONLY HAS 6,000 MILES ON IT. WHEN I PICK UP THE VEHICLE I WILL HAVE SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION FOR THE REQUIRED SERVICES.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT APPROX. 60MPH MY FORD 2016 F150 3.5L V6 LURCHED AND STALLED, EXPERIENCING A COMPLETE LOSS OF POWER, THROTTLE CONTROL AND ACCELERATION. THIS WAS THE 7TH THROTTLE MALFUNCTION MY F150 HAS EXPERIENCED IN THE PAST 5 MONTHS. EACH MALFUNCTION EXACTLY THE SAME. SINCE I AM NOW FORCED TO ONLY TRAVEL IN THE FAR RIGHT LANES FOR SAFETY, I HAD ENOUGH REMAINING MOMENTUM TO VEER MY F150 OFF OF THE HIGHWAY AND BRING IT TO A COMPLETE STOP. WITH SOME EFFORT MY F150 STRUGGLED BUT WAS ABLE TO RESTART AND TRAVELING A LOW SPEEDS I MADE IT SAFELY HOME. DUE TO THE DANGEROUS NATURE OF THIS INCIDENT I HAVE TAKEN MY F150 TO THE DEALERSHIP TWICE SO FAR. FORD BELIEVES THE ISSUE IS THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY, BUT THEY HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM. MOST RECENTLY I RECEIVED MY F150 FROM THE DEALER ONLY 4 SHORT DAYS AGO WHERE THEY REPLACED THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY, BUT IT HAD NO EFFECT, THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. THE MALFUNCTION ONLY OCCURS DURING THE MOST DANGEROUS PERIODS OF DRIVING, WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY/FREEWAY. THIS MALFUNCTION PUTS THE SAFETY OF THE DRIVERS AND THEIR FAMILIES AT RISK UNNECESSARILY. I HAVE AVOIDED COLLISIONS ONLY BY DRIVING AND STAYING IN THE FAR RIGHT LANE AT ALL TIMES. IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE SOMEONE ELSE EXPERIENCES THIS PROBLEM TRAVELING AT 65MPH ON THE HIGHWAY AND DUE TO A SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER AND COMPLETE ACCELERATION CAUSES A SIGNIFICANT TRAFFIC ACCIDENT. I HOPE THIS NEVER HAPPENS BUT IT IS MY GRAVE AND REAL CONCERN FOR MY OWN WELFARE EVERY TIME I DRIVE MY 2016 F150.
BRAKE FADE AT SPEEDS 60MPH OR MORE WITH CONTINUOUS USE. 2.7 L EXTENDED CAB SPORT.
BACKING UP INTO A PARKING SPOT. HIT THE BRAKES AND THE BRAKES FAILED. DID NOT STOP THE TRUCK. BACKED INTO A POLE WHICH STOPPED THE TRUCK. WAS IN A PARKING LOT. BACKING INTO A MARKED SPOT ON THE LOT. FORTUNATELY THERE WAS A POLE RATHER THAN A CAR OR PERSON THERE. THE POLE STOPPED THE VEHICLE. TOLD MY WIFE ABOUT IT. SHE DIDN'T BELIEVE ME OF COURSE - I GOOGLED BRAKE FAILURE AND THEN 4 DAYS LATER I SAW THE REPORT ON THE NEWS.
WHEN TRYING TO STOP AT A STOP SIGN MY BRAKE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR NOT ALLOWING ME TO STOP IN TIME AND CAUSING ME TO CROSS A MAJOR ROADWAY; LUCKILY THERE WAS NOT MUCH TRAFFIC AT THAT MOMENT. I IMMEDIATELY PULLED OVER AND SHUT OFF MY TRUCK. PUMPED MY BRAKES AND STARTED IT BACK UP AGAIN. EVERYTHING SEEMED FINE SO I CONTINUED TO DRIVE IT WITH NO ISSUES. ABOUT 10 MINUTES LATER AS I WAS APPROACHING A CROSSWALK BY A SCHOOL, A CHILD STEPPED OUT INTO THE CROSSWALK AND ONCE AGAIN I APPLIED MY BRAKES ONLY TO HAVE THE PEDAL GO ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. THE VEHICLE DOES SLOW DOWN BUT DOES NOT STOP WHERE IT SHOULD. LUCKILY THE CHILD WAS NOT STRUCK BY MY VEHICLE. I THEN TOOK THE TRUCK TO MY LOCAL FORD DEALER WHICH IS WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A BAD MASTER CYLINDER FOR THE BRAKE SYSTEM. NO PARTS AVAILABLE AS OF YET AND SUPPOSEDLY THEY ARE ON BACK ORDER. THIS ISSUE NEEDS A FULL RECALL BEFORE SOMEONE GETS KILLED.
MY 2 MONTH OLD FORD F-150 LOST ALL BRAKES WHILE COMING BACK FROM A TRIP THIS PAST SUNDAY. THE TRUCK IS AT MOYER FORD IN FOLEY AL. THERE TELLING ME THAT THEY CAN NOT REPAIR IT UNTIL MID FEBRUARY. I HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH FORD CASE # CAS10736186. I USE MY TRUCK FOR WORK AND CAN NOT BE WITHOUT A TRUCK UNTIL LATE FEBRUARY. I AM GETTING NO RESPONDS ON FIXING THE PROBLEM FROM FORD , MOYER FORD WERE THE TRUCK IS OR WORLD FORD OF PENSACOLA WERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. VERY DISTURBING THAT FORD KNEW THE MASTER BRAKE CYLINDER WAS INFERIOR WHEN THEY BUILT THE VEHICLE. PEOPLE ARE GOING TO LOSE THERE LIFE AND KILL OTHERS WITH THIS PROBLEM. THIS IS CRIMINAL AND FORD SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE.

MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS REQUIRED FOR ALL THE OCCUPANTS IN THE VEHICLE. THE INSURANCE COMPANY TOWED THE VEHICLE TO A COLLISION CENTER TO REPAIR THE DAMAGES, BUT THE VEHICLE HAD NOT YET BEEN DIAGNOSED BY THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. YOU HAD TO PRESS YOUR FOOT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR BOARD TO STOP THE TRUCK. LUCKY IT START HAPPENING WHEN MY WIFE AND DAUGHTER WERE TRAVELING AT LOW SPEED, BECAUSE IF THEY WERE TRAVELING AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED OR NEEDED TO STOP IT WOULD HAVE BEEN AN ACCIDENT. FORD REPAIR AND SAID THE MASTER CYLINDER NEEDED REPLACED. THE TRUCK IS BRAND NEW WITH LESS THAN 6K MILES ON IT.
DRIVING IN PARKING LOT AND IT TOOK LONGER THAN EXPECTED TO STOP. THEN DRIVING ON ROAD AT 35-40 AND WENT TO STOP AS LIGHT TURNED YELLOW. BRAKE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. WENT IMMEDIATELY TO LOCAL FORD DEALER (1/4 MILE FROM THE INCIDENT). DEALER SAYS MASTER BRAKE CYLINDER FAILED AND IT WILL TAKE 4-5 DAYS FOR REPLACEMENT PART TO COME IN.

WHEN DRIVING IN MORNING SUN, THERE ARE THOUSAND OF SMALL SPECKS THAT APPEAR IN THE WINDSHIELD MAKING IT EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO SEE THROUGH. PICTURE ATTACHED OF THIS CONDITION BY POINTING TRUCK (NOT MOVING) INTO MORNING SUN. WINDSHIELD IS ABSOLUTELY CLEAN INSIDE AND OUT AND THESE SPECKS ARE ONLY PRESENT IN MORNING SUN. FORD INDICATES THIS IS NORMAL ON ALL THEIR TRUCKS.
WE HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUE ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION WITH THE F150 BRAKES. SPECIFICALLY, WHEN THE BRAKES ARE APPLIED, THE PEDAL GOES ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR OF THE VEHICLE WITH NO DISCERNIBLE REDUCTION IN THE SPEED OF THE VEHICLE. IN OTHER WORDS, THE BRAKES DO NOT STOP THE TRUCK. IT HAS HAPPENED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS TO 3 DIFFERENT DRIVERS OF THE VEHICLE. IT HAPPENS WHILE DRIVING - BUT NOT ALL OF THE TIME. ON AVERAGE IT HAPPENS ABOUT 10 TIMES PER DAY WHEN BRAKING. IT HAS HAPPENED EVERY DAY SINCE THE TRUCK WAS PURCHASED, IT HAPPENS ANYWHERE FORM 20 MPH CITY DRIVING TO 70 MPH HIGHWAY DRIVING.

BRAKE PEDAL GOES COMPLETELY TO THE FLOOR. TRUCK STOPS SLOWLY. INCREASED PRESSURE ON THE PEDAL NEEDED TO SLOW THE TRUCK. I PASSED THROUGH AN INTERSECTION UNABLE TO STOP IN TIME.WAS GOING ABOUT 60MPH AND ON A STRAIGHT AHEAD PATH. THIS PROBLEM HAS HAPPENED ABOUT 10 TIMES RANDOMLY.
WHILE DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY, VEHICLE'S LOW ENGINE OIL PRESSURE ILLUMINATED, VEHICLE'S SPEED DROPPED TO COASTING LEVEL AND HAD TO PULL TO SIDE OF HIGHWAY WITH NO ABILITY TO ACCELERATE. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION WHERE THERE IS LOSS OF POWER AND THE ENGINE WOULD NOT RESTART. OIL LEVEL WAS CHECKED AND WAS NEAR THE HIGH MARK. THE VEHICLE HAS 316 MILES ON IT AND HAD TO BE TOWED.
WHILE APPLYING BRAKES THE PEDAL TRAVELS EXCESSIVELY UNTIL IT CONTACTS THE FLOOR BOARD. AS A RESULT, BRAKE APPLICATION IS LOST. CONTACTED FORD ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE AND HAD VEHICLE TOWED TO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THE MASTER CYLINDER IS DEFECTIVE. THIS VEHICLE IS A 2016 FORD F150 WITH A 5.0LITER ENGINE AND EQUIPPED WITH FOUR WHEEL DRIVE. VEHICLE HAS ONLY 15,472 MILES. THIS IS ONE OF NINE VEHICLES OF EXACT MAKE AND MODEL WE EMPLOY IN OUR FLEET AND ONE OF TWO WITH THIS PROBLEM.
