2019 F150 Backup camera doesn't work. Ford recalled some 2019 F150's but not mine. I've noticed they are having a huge issue with backup cameras and was also told the same by the dealership. Seems as like they should be responsible for fixing mine too. 2019 Supercab door locks freeze. Ford fixed under a recall. The recall worked for a year. Called dealer back last year Ford won't fix it again. It's obviously a manufacturer defect that wasn't fixed correctly on the recall. Seems crazy that I have to pay them to fix it again. The lock freezes open and you can't lock the door. It will open while driving.
4 or more different trailers some new some old, have been towed by our truck. With all of them the truck gave a warning that the right turn signal was out, when hooked up to a GMC Sierra the taillights all worked fine. When this happens the brake lights go out and the blinker blinks quickly. While using a trailer with its own braking system, the truck gave a fault that the trailer battery was not charging and none of the lights worked, causing a huge safety concern when coming to a stop. After turning the truck off and back on it worked fine. We took it to a Ford dealer and was first told it was the trailer, they tried it on 3 trailers the tech had and the blinker issue happened on 2 of the 3. Then they told us our trailers were too old. We refused to take it back without further diagnostics. They performed a BCM update. The next time we hooked up a trailer was this past weekend and the same issue occurred. We are hesitant to bring it back in as we need the vehicle and last time the dealership had it for over 15 days. I Due to the nature of the issues, the problem either lies in the connector, wiring, trailer control module or worse case scenario the body control module. Ironically My husbands job recently bought a ford F550, an employee driving it while pulling a trailer said it did the same thing but with the left blinker. They hooked that trailer to a Chevy truck and all worked fine. This is clearly an issue with Fords Trailering system. What steps should we take to get this fixed. We haul a lot of trailers. The truck has just over 5000 miles on it.
broken rear-axle hub bolt driver side With max trailer tow package ford is telling me it not covered Recall Reference Number: 23S65
Recall Reference Number: 23S65 Potential of a rear-axle hub bolt break that can lead to a loss of vehicle power and the ability to maintain Park. Ford has STILL not came up with a fix for this.
Original tire. Tire mileage= Vehicle mileage P 275 / 60 R 20 Passenger Rear Tire Tread Partial Failure approximately halfway between inner/outer sidewall Approximate size of 2" x 2". Additional tread section loose. Risk of blowout and loss of vehicle control Verbally communicated issue to both dealer and tire manufacturer, awaiting response from dealer. No warnings, symptoms. Issue identified while vehicle was stationary.
The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150 equipped with an OEM jack. The contact stated that while her husband was replacing the passenger's side rear tire and using the jack for the first time, the jack bent, causing the vehicle to collapse onto the rotors. There was no injury sustained. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was inspected, and the dealer informed the contact that there was no damage to the vehicle. The jack was replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 12,630.
The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 80 MPH, the hood unlatched independently with the hood ajar warning light illuminated. The contact stated the vehicle was not taken to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 10,000.
Vehicle will randomly lose airflow from any vents, including defroster vent after travelling for a while with AC on. If window happens to fog up while driving there is no way to blow air across it, Brought to dealer a week after purchase with 4K miles on it, and they supposedly did a software fix on a evaporater temperature sensor to stop the AC line from freezing, and restoring airflow. Worked for a couple of months but now the airflow is randomly stopping from the vents. After vehicle sits the problem goes away and can't be readily duplicated for dealer to fix, but obviously something is happening. Will bring back to dealer and see what they say.
Instrument cluster panel was rainbow now is all black unable to see how much gas in in truck tire pressure or all other important gauges.
When driving my truck using adaptive speed control my vehicle reacts as it should to speed limit signs until it sees any sign with the number 80 on it, e.g.- state hwy 80. As soon as it reads the number 80 the number 80mph shows on the dash speedometer and the truck immediately accelerates to 80 mph! This happens no matter what speed zone you are in, even a school zone! I contacted Ford Motor Company and they referred me to my local dealership. The Dealership RAPIDS FORD said they knew of the problem because one of their managers had the same issue with his loaner vehicle. They said they contacted Ford and the Ford tech told him he should shut off the adaptive speed control when it happens???? I don't believe this is a viable solution because you never know when it is going to happen. This will happen anytime it sees the number 80 Whether you are in a 25mph, a 55 mph, or any speed zone. this is a very DANGEROUS situation for both occupants and pedestrians. I was recently on an hour-long phone call with Ford vehicle technology assist and they insisted I find my own solution by going to my local dealerships. I know for sure this condition affects at least two, but more than likely tens of thousands of vehicles. Please look into this before somebody gets killed. I can tell that Ford is not going to. This problem showed up repeatedly because state hwy 80 was detoured through and around my town. These are highway signage not speed limit signage. They do not look alike.
We have been having repeated problems with the dash freezing in place for several days needing a battery to be disconnected to reset the issue. When the issue is going on, the dash is completely frozen in place. There is no way to know how much fuel is left, how fast you are going or anything else from the cluster due to it not changing at all. When the issues were brought to the dealers attention, they were shown a video of the problem occurring. But were unable to replicate the issue and thus did nothing but notate they didn't see it happen. The vehicle is owned by the Law Enforcement agency and it is not feasible to have the officer come into the dealership when the issue is acting up. The primary safety issues we see is the possibility of the vehicle running out of gas on the highway and causing a accident. Speeding concerns since the officers have no way of knowing their speed. Maintenance concerns since even the odometer is frozen so there is no way to track when its ready for service.
I was stopped behind a car inside of a parking lot about 15 feet behind it and all of a sudden my engine rev up, accelerated unexpectedly, and the truck surged forward. I immediately put the brakes to the floorboard to try to stop the vehicle but it continued to lunge forward. I looked down for a split second and saw that my foot was completely on the break pedal to the floorboard. I that instant i tried to put it in neutral and I ended up putting it in park. Even though I try to stop, I ended up, hitting the car in front of me My truck is at the cerritos california ford dealership. I reported it to Ford customer service with the same information about how it happened as above There were no warning lamps Immediately after the accident happened within four hours, i drove my truck to the dealership after consulting with my insurance company and Ford customer service Ford customer service stated they wanted the truck at the dealership right away before any bodywork or repairs be completed from an outside collision center so they can inspect it
It happened several times already. My F150 Tremor randomly has extremely loud electrical sound POP through the speakers followed by the loud static, no matter I listen to radio or connect to android studio. It's super dangerous to hear this while driving.
The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the driver's side sideview mirror housing had melted after the vehicle had been exposed to the sun. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was determined that the housing needed to be replaced, and the contact was charged a fee because the repair was not covered under warranty. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that there would be no assistance because the failure was due to the elements. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 5,650.

Stoped truck to get gas ! put in park ! When I got out of truck it went in reverse almost running me over !! Ripped my driver door all the way around to the front wheel before I could get it to stop !! It is equipped with a sensor to automatically put it in park when door opens !! But it did not happen !!!
The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, several unknown warning lights intermittently illuminated. The contact stated that since the purchase of the vehicle, the warning lights had been illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, no cause for the failure was found. The contact stated that the failure persisted. On a separate occasion while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle jerked and failed to accelerate as intended while depressing the accelerator pedal. The vehicle failed to accelerate or exceed 30 MPH. In addition, an abnormal rattling sound was coming from the bottom of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The vehicle was not inspected or diagnosed; however, the contact was informed that the failure might be associated with the front differential. The vehicle remained at the dealer unrepaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 1,000.
While traveling North on [XXX] in N. Texas, congested roadway at the time, had to come to an abrupt stop because a vehicle in front of me suddenly hit their brakes. The forward collision system worked as it should, the icon popped up on the display and the vehicle started braking. One morning as I prepare to pull out of my driveway, vehicle facing North, the forward collision icon is on the dash with a diagonal line through it. I wasn't sure what that meant so I looked it up and it meant that something was blocking the sensor. Happened to be dirt from recent dust storm with rain so there was a spot that the windshield wipers cant reach therefore the sensor was blocked. Cleaned it off no more icon on the dash. Traveling West on [XXX] in West Texas, the icon appears on the dash once again with the diagonal line through it. The closest vehicle to me was around 3 quarters of a mile in front of me so there was no danger of a front collision. I noticed that as I passed under an overpass the icon disappeared but as soon a I exited the overpass the icon reappeared. Once the sun reached a certain point in the horizon when setting, the icon went off for good. This has also happened when driving in town and I am heading home form work. traveling West into the setting sun. Without a doubt if the sun is in a certain point on the horizon when setting, it will block or blind that sensor however you wish to describe it, and that safety feature will be temporarily inoperable until the sun sets lower. The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while her son was at a red light, the vehicle jolted forward crashing into the vehicle in front without warning. The automatic braking system failed to engage. No injuries were sustained. A police report was filed. The vehicle was not towed and was able to restart. The dealer was contacted, and the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 46,000.
The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 60-65 MPH in the rain, the contact noticed water coming through the front driver's side floor, on the left side of the brake pedal. Additionally, the contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed with his wife occupying the front passenger's side seat, the contact's wife felt air coming through the front passenger's side floor of the vehicle. The contact stated that his wife placed her hand on the floor and felt the air coming through; however, the A/C was not engaged. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where a water entry test was performed, and the dealer confirmed that water was entering underneath the brake pedal. The dealer determined that an unknown valve needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and offered to partially cover the cost of the repair. The vehicle was not repaired due to the cost. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 36,000.
2023 Ford F150 seemed to spontaneously ignite, resulting in total loss of F150 due to fire and extensive damage to a civilian pickup and trailer.
Hello regarding Ford’s program 22G06 for the steering wheel heated feature my truck was built during those times and selected plants and they state it’s not under NHTSA’s list of requirements?
Right rear taillight lens has water ingression. The dealer states that they cannot replace the lens under warranty because of a technical issue bulletin issued by Ford Moter company that states that condensation is normal and that it should dissipate after a short period of time. Well this has not gone away. And after some time, it will start corroding the electrical connections for the lights and cause them to stop working. The dealer is telling me that it would no be covered under warranty until there is at least a quarter of water in the bottom of the lens. By that time the electrical connections for the lights will be damaged
The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the rubber sealant material around the hood of the vehicle had shrunken. The contact was concerned that during rainy weather; water would seep beneath the hood of the vehicle into the engine area and cause an electrical or molding failure. The vehicle was taken to a local Ford dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed; however, the dealer ordered a replacement for the vehicle, and upon attempting to install the rubber sealant, the rubber sealant failed to fit. The dealer ordered another part; however, two months later the part had not arrived, and the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 7,000.
numerous times while emergency braking my foot pushed on accelerator and brake at the same time called Ford and they said take to dealer Called dealer and discussed the problem I said it is a design problem and they said if designed that way nothing they can do Accelerator is 5/8" wider than my cars
The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the check engine warning light had remained illuminated, and the speed erroneously increased and decreased while driving. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the turbo was faulty. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The contact had also experienced several electrical failures, including the rear window becoming inoperable, failing to open and close as needed. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was not yet notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 9,000.
I bought my 2023 F150 August 31 2023 and a few days later with just 600 miles on it the air conditioner quit working. We were traveling and turned it off for a couple hours and when turned back on it worked. Called the salesman and he said there have other incidences. Today 7/01/24 it happened again, and opening the hood I saw that the air conditioning lines were frozen. If this issue with fan not blowing when needing the defroster there could be safety issues driving in freezing precipitation. Dealer could not replicate so said there was no problem. There were no warning lights with regard to this problem.
Moonroof Wind Deflector Detachment – Request for Inspection/Assistance.writing to report a recurring issue with the moonroof wind deflector on my 2023 Ford F150 Platinum Series. On two separate occasions, the deflector has detached while I was driving under normal conditions, at highway speeds. with no visible damage or signs of wear prior to the incidents. First occurrence June 2024 while driving up an on-ramp to highway estimated speed 45 mph entire part detached from my vehicle, was ran over by semi truck following behind my vehicle. My Vehicle was under warranty part was replaced by Ford dealership On [XXX]. Second occurrence July 2025 while driving in heavy traffic on interstate, estimated speed 60 mph. Entire part detached and struck the vehicle behind me. A manufacturer part flying off your vehicle once is a freak incident. safety issue. This has raised concerns for me regarding the safety and durability of the moonroof air deflector. because of the risk of damage to my own vehicle, but also due to the potential hazard it poses to other drivers on the road. A detached part at highway speed could easily cause an serious accident or injury. The part appears to be inadequately secured to withstand wind forces during normal operation. i believe this may point to a design or Manufacturer flaw and should warrant further investigation. Please let me know if you require any additional information. I would be happy to provide. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
Thank you for a chance to file this information. The cruise speed control and lane keeping systems are not working consistently and properly. They fail every week when tested. So far - the dealer-warranty fixes have not been the remedy needed. The cruise control system on steeper slopes doesn't provide braking to stay at the set speed - and at times it doesn't provide any braking resistance - so the vehicle takes off full speed with gravity. The lane keeping system doesn't provide consistent drivers' assistance to prevent departing the lane - even with new/freshly painted center-lanes/side of the road lanes.
About two blocks after leaving my house I made a right turn from a stop sign into a heavily traveled street. I completed the turn and while the truck was upshifting it got stick in a lower gear around 20 MPH in traffic and would not upshift causing the engine to rev around 5,500 RPM's. After a few taps on the accelerator pedal it finally shifted and I was able to resume to normal speed. The above situation could have resulted in an accident.
The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while his wife was driving at an undisclosed speed, the brake pedal became soft while attempting to stop the vehicle. The contact examined the vehicle and discovered that the brake fluid reservoir was empty, and the brake line fitting was not properly secured, causing brake fluid to leak from the brake lines. The brake line fitting was secured by the contact and the vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The local dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 3,000.
My car should have been included in the recall to replace the heated steering wheel with this vehicle. Ford has decided that because they did not put a heating element in my steering wheel yet I got charged the $4000 for it and only got $140 credit. I do not think that is fair and should get it upgraded as the 2023 Ford F150 have except for my truck
The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds or while in stop-and-go traffic, while depressing the accelerator pedal, there was an abnormally loud plastic-on-plastic sound. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with a brake booster failure. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred two months later. The contact stated that there was popping and clicking sound in the brake pedal. The contact stated that it felt as if the brake pedal was cracking. The failure was more prevalent after being parked or while driving for long distances. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who determined that the vehicle was working as designed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.
The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle jerked abnormally while downshifting while depressing the brake pedal. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on several occasions and the failure was acknowledged; however, the dealer was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle remained with the dealer for over a month before the vehicle was returned. The contact stated that the failure had worsened upon retrieving the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided a case number. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 5,000.
The AC stops blowing and cooling at an adequate speed after driving for a period of time. The safety issue is that while the blower is malfunctioning, it cannot defog/defrost the windshield.
I was in the process of turning onto a two lane road when all of a sudden I heard an incredibly loud noise, much like speakers blowing out that seemed to be progressively getting louder. I remained calm. I tried to turn down volume on the speakers and it would not stop the loud sound. I put the truck in park and turned off the truck. That did not work so I turned it on and off again and the noise stopped. The volume was not working at all after this happened. I was completely confused because I didn't understand what happened or why. The sound was excruciating and fortunately when this happened I was able to safely put the truck in park and turn it on and off. If I were in traffic or driving that would probably not be possible. I can see this easily causing an accident if someone is in traffic and panics. I immediately called the dealer after this happened. They said they had not heard of this happening before. I presented them with this article I found in the WSJ - "Ford Confronts Strange, Ear-Piercing Static in F-150 Trucks, Drivers have complained to federal regulators of abnormal noise coming from the vehicle’s speakers", By Ryan Felton & Nora Eckert. This article states the noise was recorded so loud as to damage hearing. There are many complaints about this happening online as well and something should be done. This is without question a safety issue and there should be a mandatory recall.
Within weeks of purchasing this vehicle new from Groove Ford on Arapahoe, the dashboard would go completely black and the seat belt restraint warning, collision warning, and safety warning sensors would go off. This vehicle has been into the dealership 7 times within the past year for over 30 days and still no resolution.
After driving for about an hour the air conditioning stops working. The blower keeps blowing but the windshield fogs up and no cool air comes out.

Harsh downshifts in 10R80 transmission. Unpredictable shifting. Significant clunking while driving. Vehicle less than 1 year old and I bought it brand new. Issue has been happening since I bought it. Ford dealer ran TSB 24-2070 software update on it yesterday. This transmission is dangerous in my opinion and Ford should be held accountable. No warning signs, nothing at all. Dealer claimed there were no DTC’s stored. Ford should be replacing this transmission and fixing the problem.
the blower in my Truck seems to be malfunctioning. while the AC or heater will turn it when first started, approx. 20 minutes into driving and it quits blowing. you can hear it blowing but nothing comes out of the vents. this first happened at 300 miles while running the heater and I had no defrost! I repeatedly had to stop and wipe down the windshield in order to see! when sent in for repair they kept truck for 1 week. no error codes showed. Service tech told me I didn't know how to run the AC correctly. today I carried it in again with same complaint and they said they might get it into service in couple of weeks but made no attempt to schedule an appt. again, they made me feel as though I did not know what I am talking about. there are many forums online with same issue and no resolution.
The ac fan is blowing but no air is coming out looked on line there are a lot of people with same problem but when you cut the truck off and restart it the ac works fine his problem only occurs various sporadic but dealerships and Ford will not fix it because when they look at it, it does not do the issue. The issue does not come up. It is not a on-demand issue. There are no codes online flap sensor that allows the air to come through, Ford wants to leave the truck for 3 to 4 weeks and then when they start it don’t do it then you’re just been without your truck for no reason whatsoever to recall so you actually have your vehicle fixed thank you thank you
Transmission jerking, harsh shifting, clunking, lunging, and hesitating. I have taken this truck to Hagerstown Ford for repair. They advised they were able to duplicate the problem and found the transmission was 1.5 quarts low on fluid. I have driven the truck a few hundred miles since and the issues are still there. I also understand Ford is having issues with the 10R80 transmission and there have been recalls but mine is not applicable. I have also had two occasions with the park brake not fully releasing and getting a service park fault now appearing on the dash. They said there were no codes, and everything is, ok?
the A/C fan doesn't blow full strength, intermittently . it happened while driving on interstate, it rained and could not get the window to defrost as the blower was not strong enough.
On trips over 100 miles or 45 minutes the A/C will freeze over and the blower motor will go to reduced speed and not blow cold. Checked pressures and they are to spec. Able to recreate issues repeatedly.
My parking brakes just comes on as im driving. This has become a dangerous situation as its caused My car to suddenly stop in different driving situations.
- Component: Air conditioning system. - Safety: A/C failure in summer heat conditions over 90 degrees. - This a known Ford issue with thousands of complaints and not resolution. Ford does not want to repair issue. - Ford dealership - Symptoms: AC blower can be heard ramping up but no air is coming through the vents. ** This an on-going issue with Ford that they are failing to rectify. My 2023 Ford F-150 has less than 7k miles and the A/C has already stopped functioning. The compressor and A/C components are freezing up and not allowing air into the cabin. This is a safety issue when temperatures are in the 90's in the south. Ford has not taken responsibility and has failed to correct the problem. There are several blogs and complaint websites with consumers complaining about the same issues. Something must done. I made an appointment and Ford did not want to repair. Please take action and issue a recall.
2023 F-150 with only 12k miles, air not blowing on A/C. No cold air blowing at all. Blower can be heard on but no flow. Happening intermittently and of course no defrost or defog when present affecting visibility. Issue described and reported by many drivers. Ford not acknowledging issue since not easy to replicate. Happens randomly.
Air Conditioner will stop working after minutes of being on. This is not bearable in 95-110 degree weather.
On numerous occasions all of the vehicles electronics, including screens, would shut off. Sometimes this happens while driving at highway speeds causing the vehicle to lose all power. When approaching the car to unlock there is often no power to access the vehicle, which requires manually unlocking the vehicle with the key, opening the hood, then touching metal to the battery terminal to reset the electronics. The vehicle has lost power in the middle of intersections, on the highway, and in parking lots. There are times when the car signals a fault with several of the ADAS features. When this happens it’s usually probable that once the vehicle is shut off, I won’t be able to get it started again without touching metal to the battery terminal. I have started to document the failures through video to show to the technicians just in case the OBD doesn’t match what I describe. The date I’m including is the most recent occurrence but does not reflect the many occurrences since purchasing the vehicle last spring.
