While driving there was a loud "boom" noise and the panoramic sunroof rear glass panel exploded. I was not driving under any overpasses, and no objects were kicked up on the roadway in front of me. Pieces of shattered glass fell down onto my two small children in the backseat who thankfully were not cut by the glass. Center section of the glass was blown out, and the surrounding glass was pushed outward indicating that the glass blew out from inside outward. After pulling over I observed two cracks running the length of each side of the glass near the edges, indicating possible stress cracks from expansion of the glass inside of the frame. This is a known issue by Ford Motor Company, with a current class action lawsuit regarding various Ford vehicles. The truck was taken to a dealership who denied a warranty claim, even given the circumstances regarding the incident.
• Shifter will not shift out of park/into P • Shifter will not shift out of gear
WONT SHIFT TO PARK
Took my vehicle into a local Ford dealership and told them that there was rattling coming out of the engine bay. Provided the service advisor with multiple videos as well as took him for a drive to show him the sound. Advised that it happens at startup and on deceleration after the turbo has spooled. Technician who worked on it left it out in a hail storm which caused over $8K in damages and then proceeded to tell me that there were rocks in my skid plate which is what caused the rattle. To this day it still is not fixed. Additionally the following TSB's have been identified as a potential rattle point; however, I believe it to be the wastegate. MC-10171858 MC-11014403 MC-11001385 MC-11006443 MC-11609633
Truck console shifter lever was shifted in Neutral. The automatic return to park feature was engaged by opening the driver door while the vehicle was stopped. The dash indicates the vehicle was in park but the shifter was stuck in the Neutral position. A tow truck was necessary because the shift lever would not return to the park position, and control of the shift lever is necessary in order to use the neutral over ride feature of the truck. Making it difficult for a tow truck to load the vehicle.
The cause of the accident was due to an extremely hard downshift, then extremely hard upshift. Between the speeds of 25-37 mph the truck will do a hard downshift with a 1-3 second loss of power delay. When it finally grabs gear it takes off like a rocket before grabbing the next gear and back to what feels normal. This is something I never experienced in my 2022 Ford F150 with the same motor and transmission. This particular day, I had pulled off to the side of the road to let the mail carrier go through the narrow section of the road first. This particular section, there is a huge tree right next to the road (approximately 12"-14" off the road). After the mail carrier passed, I started to speed up. Upon hitting 34 mph, the transmission shifted hard, pulled me into the ditch, and by the time the gear grabbed, and I had power to control, I hit the tree. As a habit, since this issue happened numerous times, I looked at the speedometer and just prior to impact I was at 43 mph. The transmission is not the only issue that I have been having with this vehicle. There has been a fuel consumption issue, a hard start issue (does not matter time of day), as well as a grinding issue at the front right wheel. This truck is equipped with a 36-gallon fuel tank. At the city driving mpg and a 34-gallon fill-up, I should have been getting 544 miles/tank. However, that was not the case as I was only getting 440-447 miles/tank (did not matter whether normal, eco, or sport mode driving). Each fill up was a 24-28 gallon fill-up leaving 8-10 gallons unaccounted for. A PCM update was done but it only got me to 510 miles with a 30-gallon fill-up. Each complaint I made with the transmission went ignored with me being told "this is normal for the 10 speeds. You will just need to learn to deal with it." After the PCM update with no true fix, I was told "drive it to zero MTE and calculate from there how far you can drive, then you know." This is a horrible and extremely unsafe answer to give.
[XXX]- Vehicle did not start, instrument cluster blacked out, infotainment screen blacked out. disconnected/reconnected battery myself everything worked. [XXX]- Instrument cluster blacked out, disconnected/reconnected battery myself, everything worked, dealership still towed vehicle in to diagnose. Same day dealership said the battery was "a little low" so they put a small charge on it and everything checked out fine. They said when I disconnect/reconnect the battery the codes are reset. So i should hope that the issue does not happen again but if it does, don't disconnect/reconnect the battery. [XXX]- Instrument cluster blacked out, drove straight to dealership where the service writer witnessed the issue and started a service file. Codes were pulled and in just the four days since it was last in the dealership there were multiple codes recorded (appx 40 over the four days). Diagnosis was a bad instrument cluster/computer module that is attached. It was replaced and vehicle returned 04 August 2025. [XXX]- Instrument cluster blacked out, drove straight to the dealership, where Service Writer, Service Manager, and Parts Manager all witnessed the same issue. Started another service file. As of the writing of this information, 08 August 2025, the vehicle is still in the shop. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
Water leak coming from above head speakers when raining apparently cause by faulty sunroof and/or components of sunroof. Can potentially cause a serious safety issue if water drips into the face/eyes of vehicle operator when driving. Dealer service center unable to reproduce the problem but consistently happens with significant rain. Dealer states a drain was not properly connected and was repaired but leak has not been fixed. Vehicle has been looked at two times by the dealer and they were unable to find the cause of the problem. No warning messages were given from the vehicle.
My vehicle stalls at red lights in traffic. Warning lights tell me to put it in park and restart the engine. It started around July of 2025 just after a year of owning it. First time to service they could not replicate, but two subsequent visits to the dealer has been replicated repeatedly! They changed battery and GSM but failed to fix the problem. Returned it to me and it stalled repeatedly, as many as 4 times in a 20 minute period. I am terrified I will be injured and at some point I’ll not be able to restart it, one attempt took 4 times to try and restart it. Drivers are angered and honk and yell at me and am afraid I will be a victim of road rage or get hit. Started a case (can provide case number)with Ford back in October to buyback under lemon law. They have refused thus far to move forward, even though it has been in service now for a total of 6 weeks for the same problem and has been replicated by a Ford Master Tech and Ford Engineer. They keep telling me the buyback team is looking into it and they do nothing. Service provider called me earlier today and said they have replicated the stalling several more times but at this time have no fix.

Since 28 June 2026, there has been an issue with braking system. I called the local Ford dealer twice and was told there has been no reported brake issues with 2024 Ford F-150. The first time this happened, I was driving on a county (dirt road) and I applied the brakes, and the brakes did not work. Thankfully, there was no traffic and I coasted to a stop. The same problem with the brakes has happened four more times.
The 2024 f-150 3.5L Ecoboost engine has a rough idle when the truck is in park or while sitting at a stop light. At times it will come and go and others it will be a constant vibration that you can feel in the steering wheel and seat. The engine also has an acceleration hesitation right after the first start of the day and usually goes away after driving a couple of minutes.

Three incidents happened with this vehicle. When I put the car on reverse and reversed and stopped, the gear was then put on drive and before the accelerator was stepped on the vehicle propelled itself at a very high speed and I had to emergently step on the brakes before it hit anything. The the front collision warning did not come on and the vehicle did not brake on its own. The same thing happened in our driveway and before we could apply the brakes the vehicle crashed into a tree. This time also the front collision warning did not come on and the vehicle did not brake and went and hit a tree. There was a video that captured this incident and was shown to our Ford dealership and they did not do anything about it. We told them that the vehicle accelerates by itself and is a safety hazard. Since this did not involve any other vehicle or pedestrian the hazard was limited only to ourselves, The insurance was charged more than $10,000 to fix the damages and we also had to pay a deductible of $1000. More importantly we are unaware if this has been reported by others and can cause serious injuries to the driver, occupants of the vehicle and other who may be involved inadvertenly. Any death caused will become the responsibility of the driver even though this was not the mistake of the driver.
Sitting at a stop with vehicle in gear such as sitting at red light with auto/start off vehicle feels like it shifts gears with big clunk. In addition occasionally vehicle feels like can't decide what gear to shift into causing clunk. This normally happens at slow speed 35mph and slower.
The contact owns a 2024 Ford F-150. The contact stated that soon after purchasing the vehicle, the wrench warning light was displayed on the instrument panel. The contact then received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V341000 (Suspension); and related the recall to the warning light being illuminated. The contact stated that several appointments were scheduled with the local dealer for the recall repair; however, the dealer failed to service the recall after each visit. The contact was recently informed that the dealer did not have the tool needed to repair the vehicle and was waiting for another dealer to provide the tool for the repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 1,200.
The contact owns a 2024 Ford F-150. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, the message “Service Vehicle Soon” was displayed. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed, and the contact was advised that the gear shifter was faulty and needed to be replaced. The contact was informed that the parts were on back order and that a notification would be sent when the parts arrived for the repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 10,500.
Dashboard is occasionally black when the truck is started. The gauges don't work, and an alarm starts ringing. After a short while the gauges start to appear on the screen one at a time. this has happened several times in the few months that I've owned this truck. I see that a recall has been issued for the 2025 and 2026 Model F150's but it is also happening in my 2024 F150 that I bought new in February 2025.

While driving, the Instrument cluster will shut off and turn back on. 1 time while using ford Blue Cruise feature, when the instrument screen shut off, the truck lost communication swerved into the other lane. I have had the instrument cluster screen replaced 3 time and it would randomly turn off/on while driving.
I was stopped waiting in line at a security gate. I was approximately 10 feet from the vehicle in front of me. A police officer started to walk between the vehicles. My foot was lightly on the brakes when suddenly the truck started surging forward. I immediately jammed as hard as I could on the brakes but my truck continued to move forward. I was forced to slam the shifter into park. There was a loud grinding noise and it startled the police officer and she jumped out of the way. , my truck stopped just before hitting the vehicle in front of me. My truck has the 10R80 transmission and it has now completely failed at 16000 miles. The vehicle completely locked up but fortunately I was moving under 10 mph because it would have been catastrophic had I been going faster. It became immediately undrivable. The dealership has tried to fix it but as of today after two weeks in their shop, can’t even get it out of park.
The contact owns a 2024 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact stated that oil was leaking from the vehicle onto the driveway. The contact stated that the low oil pressure warning light was illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle was difficult to shift from park(P) to drive(D) or to reverse(R). The contact stated there was no warning light illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer who was unable to repair the vehicle. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
The contact owns a 2024 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving on the highway, the hood unexpectedly opened. The instrument cluster was blank, and while it was raining, water entered the vehicle. Additionally, the contact stated that the doors failed to open as needed, and the vehicle was experiencing charging issues, causing the vehicle to fail to charge as needed. The contact deleted the charging time, and the vehicle started to charge and then stopped. The contact stated that vehicle would charge to 74 percent. The contact also stated that the passenger’s seat heater turned on independently. The message "Hands not on the Steering Wheel" was displayed. While driving 20 MPH, the collision avoidance warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who was unable to duplicate the failure during the initial visit. The vehicle was towed to an unknown local dealer, where it was determined that there was corrosion in the plugs, and the harness was replaced. Additionally, the contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the TPMS alerted the driver that the PSI was at 7. The vehicle was taken to a tire center, which was unable to determine the cause of the failure but changed the tire. The contact stated that the taillight sensor had moisture. The manufacturer was contacted regarding a buy back, but the criteria was not met, and no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 2,000.
The parking brake has repeatedly engaged without action from the owner/operator. This seems to happen at random. The dash warning light does show upon occurrence. There is no known cause for, or understanding of, this malfunction. The Ford certified dealer could not confirm as it did not occur under their supervision when serviced. Fortunately, occurrences thus far have been while the vehicle is not in motion. However, this is extremely dangerous and could cause severe injury or death. Imagine the horrific accident if the parking brake were to engage while traveling with a family of four, going 65mph down the highway. Innocent lives would be lost. Children's lives. It's heartbreaking and traumatizing to think about. This is a massive safety risk and obviously very concerning. Furthermore, the rear brake pads and rotors have already been replaced (at 4k miles) due to overheating, warping, and uneven wear. At 4k miles!? Are these issues related? Possibly. Will they be repetitive? Possibly. Nevertheless, it's too significant of a risk. It's one that no one would want to take. Something needs to be done. Thank you. Ford offers a buyback program, but has denied the request. Ford has provided ineffective and unacceptable responses to a filed Better Business Bureau complaint. Ford has not accepted responsibility for the issue. The severity is not being taken seriously.
At 3500 miles, I had check engine light come on. At this point I took it to the dealership and was told the transmission module was defective. My truck was in the shop almost two weeks and 9 months later still does not shift from Park to Reverse as it should at 7900 miles. Was told it could have went bad on the highway and locked my trucks transmission while on the highway.
The design of this and similar model vehicle headlights are excruciatingly painful when on during night and day to oncoming drivers and to those drivers where the vehicle approaches from behind. It is unbelievable that our own government agency, NHTSA, that is set up to protect the public allows such blatant harmful headlight designs on vehicles. You may thank you are accustomed to the high intensity LED lighting, but I bet every time one of these LED lite vehicles approaches, you squint, look away, are partially blinded, and distracted without knowing it. Maybe now you will. Stacking these damn lights totally disregarding the health and safety of the public!!
The component that is malfunctioning is the LCD dash screen that contains all of the dash indicators (Speed, RPM, gear indicator, etc.). The issue is that without warning, different colored lines flash across the screen. It is distracting and I am quite worried that if the screen goes out, I will not know how fast I am going, and I won't be able to see any of the dash indicators related to the system status. It is getting worse every day that I have the vehicle, and now the whole screen is flickering. I purchased the vehicle approximately 3 days ago and the issue has recurred every single day and I have taken a video every time it occurs (as of this report I have 7 videos). The vehicle has not been confirmed by the dealer or others because the dealer will not let me bring it in until their next available appointment on 3 March 2025. There are no warning lamps or messages that come up. Typically the symptoms appear after the vehicle is fully warmed up, or if the heater has been running for a while.
While driving, the screen in front of the driver (dash) which displays information such as speed, transmission gear, parking brake, and other important information, will flicker and/or be distorted. This results in driver distraction and may prevent the driver from seeing safety-related information such as vehicle speed while operating the vehicle. The issue is intermittent, but typically resets when the vehicle is powered off and back on.
Every day at random when I drive to work I notice in what seems milliseconds that the digital gauge cluster screen will shut off and back on almost instantly, but slow enough that I notice it. It is always random and I have no way of replicating it. I noticed it after about 2,000 miles on this brand new truck.
In 2024 Ford introduced a turn detection in the F-150 (and other Ford vehicles). This feature extends the adaptive cruise control which recognizes speed limit signs and dynamically adjusts the speed control to comply with speed limits. This added Turn Detection, detects curves that have the Yellow highway curve warning signs with the small orange suggested speed limit sign below and automatically slows the vehicle down to at or below the suggested corner speed. The vehicle slowly goes through the curve and then rapidly accelerates out of the curve back the set cruise speed. This causes a huge safety issue especially on highways with higher speed limits where the suggested corner speed is substantially below the general flow of traffic. First Example of safety issue: When driving on a highway with a higher speed limit (especially 60mph or higher) with cruise control set for example to 65mph (speed traffic is naturally flowing at), entering a corner with a suggested speed sign of 55mph causes the vehicle to brake unexpectedly bringing the vehicle from 65mph+ to 52mph rapidly. This unexpected braking cause vehicles following to be caught off guard and in multiple cases almost rear end my truck. Second Example of safety issue: When driving through canyon highways in Colorado where almost every corner has a suggested corner speed, the truck is constantly braking hard into corners and rapidly accelerating out of corners. With the corners so close together in these canyon highways it creates a situation where the truck becomes difficult to steer and keep on the road because of the numerous and rapid speed changes which is very dangerous in a canyon environment. This issue has been problematic since I purchased the truck new, this behavior is acknowledged by Ford when I took it into the dealership to get it addressed and they have indicated that the functionality is working correctly and there is nothing they can do to correct it even though it's a safety issue.
Purchased vehicle on [XXX]. The vehicle was brand new and had 12 miles on it. I drove the vehicle home. My family and I went out to dinner and returned home and the vehicle remained in our garage. In the morning, I drove the vehicle to the gym. the vehicle was at that location for approximately two hours. I then drove it to my workplace. When I pulled into the parking lot I noticed some smoke from the hood. I turned off the vehicle and popped the hood. I then tried to open the hood, but realized that the vehicle was on fire. I backed away from the vehicle and called 911. The vehicle was ablaze within 1 minute of me exiting the vehicle. Firefighters responded approximately 8 minutes later and put out the fire. I do have videos of the fire happening INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
My 2024 Ford F-150 Raptor V6, a brand-new vehicle purchased on [XXX], has accumulated 767 miles. On the evening of [XXX] in Orange County, California, while driving on the freeway at approximately 75 miles per hour, I experienced an unexpected issue. Everything appeared normal, and there were no warning lights on the instrument cluster indicating any problems with the truck. However, a few miles before exiting the freeway, I received a message through the Ford Pass App, accompanied by a warning on the instrument cluster that read, “Drivetrain malfunction, reduced power.” Despite the warning, I continued driving cautiously until I reached my home. Upon pulling into my driveway, I scanned my vehicle for error codes, which revealed the following: P0929-77 Gear Shift Lock Solenoid/Actuator Circuit "A" Range/Performance U211B-87 Control Module Message Authentication B1578-89 Digital Park Assist Camera Vision System U023A-00 Lost Communication With Image Processing Module A U0415-00 Invalid Data Received from Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Control Module "A" U102F-00 Invalid Internal Control Module Monitoring Data Received From All Wheel Drive Control Module The code that triggered the check engine light, as indicated by my vehicle’s scanning app, is P0929-77. On December 31st, I took the vehicle to Caruso Ford in Long Beach, California, for diagnosis. Unfortunately, Caruso Ford is currently unable to pinpoint the fault. The tech who examined my vehicle believes it’s an electrical issue rather than mechanical. I hope to receive an update on my vehicle by Tuesday, January 7th. After having the vehicle serviced by authorized dealer the brake system and electrical system displayed the same issues as it had previously. The safety braking system sent warnings and failures 3 times and I returned it to the dealership for further repairs. While driving the ABS senses a failure, along with hill assist, and the front end collision system. All of these systems sent failure warnings and made braking very difficult.
Anti lock Brake Fault and disabled Hill Start assist failure Collision waring system failure All of these occurred while driving. Luckily I was able to move the vehicle of the road and was able to avoid any accidents.
The electronic dash flickers black. It comes back on but it is distracting while driving as it draws my attention to the dash instead of the road. I have took it to the dealership with no investigation because it does not happen with their test drive while in their possession. There is no TSB for this issue per the dealership. There should be some investigation as they could look for a loose cable or inquire with the manufacture of the component through Ford. Something is defective...

Sunroof randomly shattered while driving
The contact owns a 2024 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while attempting to secure a booster seat in the rear passenger’s side seat, the seat belt failed to lock as intended. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the seat belt buckle needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 1,250.
The contact owns a 2024 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the vehicle was idling very rough. Additionally, the contact stated that while refueling the vehicle, with the fuel gauge indicating 20-miles to empty, the contact was unable to properly place the nozzle into the fuel filler neck, causing fuel to spill from the vehicle. The contact stated that fuel spilled on the contact and his wife on separate occasions. The contact stated that the vehicle required twenty minutes to refuel and automatically stopped refueling at three-quarter tank full. The contact used a screwdriver to enlarge the fuel filler neck. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. Another dealer, Natchez Ford Parts (14 Seargent Prentiss St., Natchez, MS 39120), was contacted but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that upon releasing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle stopped shuddering. No warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the failure usually occurred while driving at high speeds. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with a torque converter shudder. The dealer did not recommend replacing the torque converter and informed the contact that the vehicle was operating as designed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 2,600.
I purchased a new 2024 Ford F-150 on August 31, 2024, and just six weeks later, on October 19, 2024, the entire left front suspension failed while I was driving at 50-55 MPH. The truck suddenly and unexpectedly took a hard left and I nearly lost control of the vehicle. It was incredibly difficult to maintain control of the truck as it swerved dangerously, but I managed to guide it to the shoulder and called for a tow to the dealership where I bought it. I discovered the left front tire and rim had detached and the entire front suspension pulled out of the truck. The left front tire was positioned sideways under the truck. My concern is there's potential issues stemming from what appears to be a failure to properly torque the top control arm at the factory that are being covered up. I was told that Ford recalled some Rangers and Broncos after it was discovered the nut on the left upper control arm was either missing or not properly torqued in the plant. To my knowledge there has not been a recall on the F150 models. If the incident had occurred on the interstate or while meeting an oncoming vehicle, I have no doubt there would have been serious injuries or fatalities involved. The were no warning signs or symptoms prior to the incident occurring. The truck remained at the dealership in repair until November 20th.
The contact owns a 2024 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 70 MPH, the vehicle started vibrating while depressing the accelerator pedal. The failure persisted and the vehicle jerked and hesitated without warning. The contact pulled off on the next exit and immediately contacted the dealer. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and was diagnosed with damages to 4 of the 6 cylinders. The dealer submitted a buyback request to the manufacturer which was later denied. The contact was later informed by the dealer that the cylinders were replaced; however, the contact refused to take possession of the vehicle due to safety concerns. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was provided a case number. The vehicle remained with the dealer. The failure mileage was 269.
The contact owns a 2024 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the lights on the instrument panel were inoperable. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with a failed junction box. The contact was informed that water and mold had gotten into the junction box and caused the damage. In addition, the contact was informed that the water and mold had started from the windshield seal. The contact was informed that the wiring harness, the windshield, and the carpet needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact was informed that the windshield was not properly sealed by the factory. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V486000 (Visibility); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The contact was the fleet manager and had several of the vehicles in inventory. The contact was concerned that the vehicles would experience the same failure and that the repair would not be covered under the recall. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 56,000.
The contact owns a 2024 Ford F-150. The contact stated while operating the vehicle, water from the windshield wiper reservoir had leaked into the engine compartment and onto the engine and electrical components inside the engine compartment. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 20.
The contact owns a 2024 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, or while the vehicle was idling at a stop, the vehicle failed to accelerate while depressing the accelerator pedal. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the accelerator pedal had to be depressed to the floorboard for the vehicle to accelerate as intended. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on several occasions before the dealer was able to duplicate the failure. The contact stated that the transmission and electrical control modules were updated; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 2,000.
The contact owns a 2024 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the vehicle was vibrating abnormally while driving at approximately 70 - 80 MPH. The contact stated that the failure had not occurred at slower speeds. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer 4 times; however, the dealer was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The tires were replaced, the rims were replaced, and an alignment was performed; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and opened a case. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was 490.
The contact owns a 2024 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 55 MPH, the driver's side window was vibrating. The contact applied pressure with his hand to the window and the vibration stopped; however, as soon as the contact removed his hand the vibration restarted. At approximately 6:20 PM on Friday, July 26, 2024 airbags exploded on a Ford F-150 while it was on the assembly line (Chassis Line 5) at Ford Motor Company's Dearborn Truck Plant (DTP). Two hourly employees, one of them in the driver's seat, were working on the truck at the time and both were sent to an area hospital for treatment. The line was stopped, but only for about 30-40 minutes. By 7 PM it was running again until the conclusion of our scheduled ten-hour day, which occurred at 4:30 AM. The truck could not be removed from the line where the explosion had happened, so it had to be run all the way to the end of Chassis Line 7, where it was pushed off. Employees were extremely angry, to put it mildly, and concerned about another occurrence. I reported this to the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA) on Monday, July 29, 2024. Their complaint number is 2193285.
Not 5 minutes ago I reported an issue to NHTSA regarding a 2024 Ford F-150 V6 Raptor. Just as I was submitting the form, I got an alert that remote features are disabled to preserve battery. The error texted to my phone states: “Don't worry though, nothing is wrong. This happens automatically when you haven't started your vehicle for a period of time.” I am not understanding why an error related to not driving recently would appear, I just drove about 70 miles round trip and have been home less than 30 minutes.
