RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE (#98V116000) & NOTIFIED DEALERSHIP. WAS INFORMED THAT NO PARTS AVAILABLE FOR REPAIRS. CALLED MANUFACTURER & WAS TOLD DID NOT HAVE ANY PARTS TO SEND TO DEALERSHIP TO REPAIR STEERING COLUMN. *AK
BRAKES CYLINDER FAILED AND SPRAYED BRAKE FLUID OVER THE TIRES.
CONSUMER CONTACTED THE DEALER IN REFERENCE TO RECALL NUMBER 98V116000, MANUFACTURER'S NUMBER 98S17. SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER, PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. *AK
98V116000, STEERING COLUMN SHAFT; CONSUMER RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FROM FORD. CONTACTED THE DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THEY HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY INFORMATION FROM FORD ON THE RECALL, AND WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO LOOK AT THE VEHICLE OR REMEDY THE PROBLEM FOR AT LEAST ONE WEEK OR UNTIL NOTIFIED BY FORD OF THE RECALL. *AK
WHEN TRAVELING ON HIGHWAY THE BRAKES, ON BUMPY SURFACE, SUDDENLY LET LOOSE. THERE ARE NO BRAKES AT ALL UNTIL SMOOTH PAVEMENTS AND SLOWER SPEED. SPEED IS NOT A FACTOR BETWEEN 25MPH, THE PROBLEM STILL OCCURS. DEALER CONTACTED AND WILL CHECK OUT AND CONTACT OWNER. NO RESPONSE FOR ONE MONTH. *AK
NHTSA RECALL # 98V11600 MFR # 98S17, CONSUMER CONTACTED THE DEALER TO HAVE RECALL CORRECTED, DEALER UNAWARE OF RECALL. REFUSED TO REPLACE ANY PARTS. *AK
ENGINE SURGING UNRESOLVED, SURGING IS LINKED TO CRUISE CONTROL MALFUNCITION.
CONSUMER WAS DRIVING ON HIGHWAY AT 65 MPH ON NORMAL ROAD CONDITION WHEN SUDDENLY CONSUMER HAD TO APPLY BRAKES. FRONT WHEEL ON DRIVER'S SIDE LOCKED UP, CAUSING VEHICLE TO SKID OUT OF CONTROL, RESULTING IN AN ACCIDENT, BUT NO INJURIES. DEALER INSPECTED BRAKE SYSTEM. INFORMED CONSUMER NOTHING COULD BE FOUND. *AK
TRANSMISSION SHIFTS ON ITS OWN.
VEHICLE SHIFTED INTO 4X4 LOW RANGE WITHOUT DRIVER SHIFTING GEARS. VEHICLE WAS NOT MOVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS.
ABS PROBLEMS; WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES DURING NORMAL BRAKING, MORE DURING EMERGENCY SITUATIONS, THERE IS A SPONGY FEELING AND A TICKING NOISE COMING FROM THE SYSTEM. THE TRUCK DOES NOT STOP UNLESS DRIVER REALLY JAMS THE BRAKE PEDAL DOWN. THE DEALER IS NOT AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. *AK

OWNER WISHES TO NOTIFY NHTSA OF A RECALL CONCERNING THE LOWER STEERING SHAFT WHICH IS MISSING OR HAS CRIMPED RIVETS. OWNER DID NOT LOCATE THE RECALL ON THE NHTSA WEB SITE.
RECALL # 98V116000 FORD/LOWER CONTROL ARM. OWNER IS STILL EXPERIENCING A PROLBEM WITH TRUCK AFTER HAVING RECALL WORK PERFORMED. WHEN HITTING A BUMP, ETC IN THE ROAD, THE TRUCK VIOLENTLY VIBRATES. IN SOME CASES, JERKING STEERING WHEEL FROM HAND. *AK
VEHICLE DOES NOT COME WITH A SPARE TIRE. CONSUMER QUESTIONS THE SAFETY OF VEHICLE. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
MIRRORS ARE DESIGNED IN A FIXED POSITION, CAN'T BE ADJUSTED. QCAW
REAR VIEW MIRROR DESIGN EXTENDS TOO LONG, RESULTING IN ONCOMING TRUCK TO HIT THE MIRROR ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE SHATTERING THE MIRROR AND CRACKING THE HOUSING.
CONSUMER WAS INVOLVED IN A 45 MPH FRONTAL COLLISION, HITTING TWO TREES, TOTALLY DAMAGING THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE. THE DRIVER'S OR PASSENGER'S AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. PLEASE GIVE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
DISC BRAKES FILL UP WITH MUD , TEARING REAR BRAKES AND ROTORS AND CAUSING LOSS OF BRAKES. *AK
WHILE DRIVING AND PROCEEDING FROM A STOP THE ENGINE REMAINS RUNNING,BUT WHEN APPLYING THE GAS PEDAL THE VEHICLE DOES NOT MOVE. CAUSE UNKNOWN. PLEASE GIVE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK EA04006 HAS IFS.
THE LEFT AND RIGHT CONVEX MIRRORS THAT ARE STANDARD ON THIS TRUCK ARE NOT ADJUSTABLE. THE LEFT MIRROR LOOKS AT THE LEFT REAR TIRE. THE RIGHT MIRROR IS A BIT BETTER. IT IS DIFFICULT, IF NOT IMPOSSIBLE TO USE THESE MIRRORS SAFELY WHEN PASSING, OR BEING PASSED WHEN I AM TOWING MY 5TH WHEEL TRAVEL TRAILER.
MFG. KNOWS THE MIRRORS ARE UNSAFE, MAKES SAFE PASSING OR LANE IMPOSSIBLE. *AK

WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES VEHICLE SEVERELY PULLS TO THE LEFT, CAUSE UNKNOWN. PLEASE GIVE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
THE ELECTRONIC ABS 2 WHEEL CONTROL IS TO SENSTIVE. IF A BUMP OR POTHOLE IS ENCOUNTERED WHEN STOPPING THE ABS WILL TRIGGER. THIS EXTENDS STOPPING DISTANCE BY 40%. ABS WILL NOT DISINGEAGE UNTILL FOOT IS RELEASED FROM BRAKE AND REAPPLIED WHICH IN MOST CASES WILL NOT STOP VEHICLE IN TIME. MY ABS HAS TRIGGERED 6 TIMES IN DRY WEATHER NORMAL DRIVING, DEALER'S RESPONSE IS THAT ABS IS SHOWING NO FAULT CODES AND IS WORKING AS "DESIGNED". THIS IS NOT SAFE AND COULD LEAD TO A LARGE TRUCK REAR ENDING A SMALLER VEHICLE BECAUSE OF A BUMP OR POTHOLE IN THE ROAD!
SEVERE VIBRATION AT ANY SPEED SEEMINGLY FROM FRONT DRIVE TRAIN (BEARINGS, AXELS, HUBS)? THE ONLY WAY I CAN DRIVE THE TRUCK IS TO ENGAGE THE FRONT LEFT AXEL.OTIS FORD HAS BEEN TRYING TO FIND THE PROBLEM FOR TWO AND A HALF MONTHS REPLACING PARTS THAT DIDN'T SOLVE THE PROBLEM. I AM WAITING NOW FOR THREE WEEKS FOR PARTS THEY HAVE ORDERED TO TRY TO FIX THIS PROBLEM.
UNABLE TO USE VEHICLE FOR INTENDED PURPOSE OF PULLING A TRAVEL TRAILER. DON'T FEEL SAFE PULLING A TRAILER WHEN WIDE ANGLE MIRRORS ARE "NON-ADJUSTABLE". IT'S RIDICULOUS TO HAVE NON-ADJUSTABLE MIRRORS ON A VEHICLE! DEALER INFORMS IT'S A DESIGN ITEM; NOT WARRANTY.
PARKING BRAKE DOES NOT HOLD WHEN SET. A LOT OF FORCE IS NEED TO SET BARKING BRAKE. CAMPAIN ID 98V101000 SEEMS TO BE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY F250 SUPERDUTY. ABS PROBLEM: BRAKES GO INTO ABS MODE WHEN BRAKING ON ROUGH (BUMPY ROADS) DRY ROAD SURFACES. THIS HAPPENS WHEN TRUCK HAS NO LOAD IN IT. MY STOPPING DISTANCES ARE INCREASED UNPREDICTABLY..
VEHICLE PURCHASED NEW AND THE SPARE TIRE WAS NOT INCLUDED, HOWEVER THE DEALERSHIP DID NOT NOTIFY CONSUMER THAT SPARE TIRE WAS NOT LISTED AS STANDARD EQUIPMENT. MJS
CLUTCH ASSEMBLY HAS DISINTEGRATED TWICE, CAUSING TRANSMISSION AND ENGINE TO LOCK TOGETHER, RESULTING IN LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL. *AK
WHEN ACCELERATING VEHICLE WILL DIE COMPLETELY, CAUSING SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD. DEALER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED. *AK
HYDRAULIC BRAKE LINE WAS NOT SECURE TO FRAME, CAUSING IT TO RUPTURE, RESULTING IN LOSS OF BRAKES. *AK
CONSUMER RECEIVED RECALL 99V062001 CONCERNING SPEED CONTROL CABLE. CONTACTED THE DEALER, NO PARTS WERE AVAILABLE TO CORRECT THE RECALL PROBLEM. PLEASE GIVE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
THROTTLE WILL STAY AT HIGH RPM EVEN WITH FOOT OFF GAS PEDAL ,VEHICLE WILL NOT SLOW DOWN ,TAKES ABOUT 1/2 BLOCK BEFORE IT WILL DECREASE IN SPEED. *AK

DRIVER CANNOT TAKE OFF THE PASSENGER REAR WHEEL RIM HUB, WHICH MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR HIM TO CHANGE A FLAT TIRE. DEALER SAYS THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO. *AK
WHILE TRAVELING AND WHEN PRESSING ON THE BRAKE PEDAL VEHICLE WOULD TRAVEL TO THE LEFT OR THE RIGHT. DEALER HAS BEEN CONTACTED. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATON. *AK
