WHEN DEPRESSING CLUTCH PEDAL TO FLOOR BOARD VEHICLE GOES INTO EXTENDED STOPING DISTANCE. TECHNICIAN STATED THAT FLYWHEEL NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. *AK
INNER COOLING PIPE IS SEPARATING FROM THE TURBO CHARGER, CAUSING LOSS OF POWER, CREATING A SAFETY ISSUE. FORD ISSUED SSM# 13706 FOR THIS DEFECT. *AK *SLC
THE FRONT TIRES ON MY VEHICLE HAVE INDENTIONS IN THE TREAD. I TOOK THE TRUCK TO A FIRESTONE DEALER TO INQUIRE WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS AND IF THESE TIRES WERE BEING RECALLED OR NOT. THE SERVICE MAN SAID IT APPEARED AS IF THE BELTS HAD BROKEN LOOSE IN THE TIRE. THE MANAGER CAME OUT AND SAID THAT IT WAS NOT A TIRE DEFECT, MY FRONT END WAS OUT OF LINE. (EVEN THOUGH MY VEHICLE DOES NOT PULL TO EITHER SIDE) THESE DECISIONS WERE REACHED JUST BY LOOKING AT THE TIRES IN THE PARKING LOT. ARE THERE ANY KNOWN PROBLEMS WITH THIS TYPE OF TIRE? SOFT BRAKE PEDAL AT TIMES, NOT ALL THE TIME, SOMETIMES WHEN STOPPING THE PEDAL GOES ALMOST TO THE FLOOR CAUSING LONGER STOPPING DISTANCES, ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION I HAVE WENT TO FAR IN A INTERSTATE DUE TO THE BRAKES.
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE BECOMES VERY UNSTABLE WHENEVER THERE IS A CHANGE IN SURFACE MATERIAL, IE. EXPANSION JOINTS, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO SHAKE UNCONTROLLABLY AND CAUSING THE DRIVER TO VEER OFF THE ROAD INTO THE MEDIAN STRIP. NLM
THE REAR WHEEL ANTILOCK BRAKES DO NOT WORK PROPERLY, THE BRAKES LOCK UP MOMENTARILY, BUT THE DEALER STATES THAT IT WAS NORMAL, THE CONSUMER BELIEVES THE BRAKES WERE DANGEROUS. *YH

BRAKE ROTORS HAVE BEEN REPLACED 6 TIMES AND THEY STILL WARP AFTER ABOUT 8OOO MILES. *AK
BRAKE PADS ARE DISINTEGRATING ON ALL FOUR WHEELS. ALSO, ROTORS ARE SCORED. CONTACTED DEALER, AND DEALER PADS HAD TO BE REPAIRED. *AK
SIDEWALLS ON FIRESTONE, STEEL TEX TIRES HAVE CRACKS ALL AROUND THEM. CRACKS WERE APPROXIMATELY 1/3 TO 3/8 DEEP. HAVE NOT BEEN IN CONTACT WITH DEALERSHIP OR TIRE RETAILER. FIRESTONE, STEEL TEX, 265/75R16 WITH APPROXIMATELY 38,000 MILES ON THEM. *AK
I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW ABOUT THE IDLE ARM CONTROL VALVE. WHAT IT IS USED FOR AND WHY IT WOULD GO BAD?*AK
REFLECTIVE COATING IS COMING OFF THE OUTSID MIRROR, CAN NOT SEE OUT THEM.
SIDEWALL FAILURE ON LEFT FRONT AND RIGHT REAR. NO BLOWOUTS. BULGE IN LEFT FRONT WHILE VEHICLE PARKED IN DRIVEWAY, IN RIGHT REAR WHILE TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEED. NO BLOWOUT. WEATHER HOT, TIRE PRESSURE PROPERLY MAINTAINED.*AK (TIRESIZE: 235/75R16)
HAD TO SERVICE HEAD GASKETS ON TWO OCCASIONS, CURRENTLY, GOING ON THIRD TIME, RESULTING IN OIL LEAKAGE.*AK
RIGHT SIDE MIRROR IS MADE OF FLAT GLASS INSTEAD OF CURVED GLASS. THE FIELD OF VIEW ON THE RIGHT SIDE IS SO LIMITED THAT I BELIEVE IT COULD CAUSE A CRASH WHEN MERGING OR CHANGING LANES. EVERY OTHER VEHICLE I HAVE DRIVEN IN RECENT YEARS HAD A CURVED GLASS, WIDE ANGLE MIRROR ON THE RIGHT SIDE.

CONSUMER STATES THAT HE IS HAVING TROUBLE WITH A PART THAT ATTACHES TO THE CLUTCH RELEASE PEDAL, WHEN IT COMES OFF IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO RELEASE THE CLUTCH OR TO SHIFT GEARS, THE PART IS MADE OF A PLASTIC TYPE MATERIAL WITH TEETH TO KEEP IT IN PLACE, HOWEVER CONSUMER HAS REPLACED THIS PART SEVERAL TIMES. *SLC

THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE TIRE TREAD SEPARATED AND THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE TIRE BLEW OUT WHILE DRIVING. *NLM
PROBLEMS WITH BRAKE EQUIPMENT/ VEHICLE SHOOK VIOLENTLY WHEN BRAKES WERE APPLIED. *MR THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN TO THE DEALER FIVE TIMES, AND EACH TIME THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED THE PROBLEM WAS RESOLVED. AFTER THE SECOND REPAIR, THE WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED SO THE CONSUMER HAD TO PAY FOR THE REPAIRS. FINALLY, THE CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE TO HIS PERSONAL MECHANIC WHO STATED THE PROBLEMS THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED WAS CAUSED BY A FRONT SEAL LEAKAGE ON THE RIGHT AXLE. IN ADDITION, THE MECHANIC STATED WHEN THE GREASE LEAKED ONTO THE ROTOR, IT BECAME HOT AND WARPED THE ROTOR WHICH CAUSED THE VIBRATION. CONSUMER WANTED NEW ROTORS, CALIPERS, AND SEALS ON BOTH FRONT WHEELS AT NO COST TO HIM. HE ALSO WANTED TO BE REIMBURSED FOR THE THREE OUT OF POCKET REPAIRS. *PH *JB
WHILE TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEED LEFT FRONT TIRE TREAD CAME COMPLETELY OFF. AS A RESULT THE BRAKE LINE BROKE. *AK
WHEN DRIVING FRONT END SHAKES AND SHIMMIES EXCESSIVELY, ALMOST CAUSING CONSUMER TO LOSE CONTROL OF VEHICLE. *AK
WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE TRUCK LOST ACCELERATION AND WENT INTO IDLE CONDITION, AND VEHICLE WAS ALMOST REAR ENDED. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER, AND THEY REPLACED THE THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR AT 40,000 MILES. AT 87,000 MILES THE PROBLEM RETURNED. *AK
WHILE MECHANIC WAS INSTALLING NEW TIRES HE NOTICED THAT THE TIE ROD ON THE FRONT RIGHT SIDE WAS SEVERELY WORN, DESTROYED. *AK
WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH VEHICLE VIBRATED SEVERELY. CONSUMER PULLED OVER TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE, AND NOTICED A HUGE BUBBLE ON TIRE TREAD. FIRESTONE STEELTEX AT LT26575R16. *AK
THE BOLTS THAT HOLD THE TURBO-CHARGER FELL OUT. THE TURBO-CHARGER WAS NOT OPERATING EFFECTIVELY. CONSUMER CONTACTED MANUFACTURER, AND DEALER, AND THEY SAID TOO BAD, THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO. *AK
