Injector offset learning limits keeps triggering a engine light. Fuel consumption goes way up. Ford doesnt fix the problem they just keep clearing the code, but it always comes back
Check engine light comes on with injector codes. Ford clears the code and the problem continues to come back. Truck uses a lot more fuel when this is active. No help from Ford on getting this resolved. Issue: Some 2020-2022 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with cylinder injection pulse offset diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) P2B11, P2B13, P2B15, P2B17, P2B19, P2B1B, P2B1D, and/or P2B1F stored in the powertrain control module (PCM) after various fuel system repairs. This may be due to incorrect learned values in the PCM. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the PCM, reprogram the transmission control module (TCM), and perform the Reset Minimum Fuel Mass Adaptions All Cylinders.

The component of issue is the rear drivers side FOX shock added by Tuscany Motor Co, majority owned by Fox Factory. This component collides with the rear brake fluid line causing excessive wear. Eventual failure of this line could potentially cause brake failure leading to a major road hazard. This component is available for inspection upon request. According to my local dealership, other Shelby Super Bajas have the same design flaw with the shock absorber. This component/issue has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance, or others besides my dealership. There were no warning lamps or other forms of warning besides visual excessive wear of the brake line.
The drivers door power door lock fails to operate either to unlock the vehicle or to lock it. This is a safety risk as the power door lock should automatically lock the door once the vehicle reaches a certain speed to help doors remain shut in roll over accidents. Automatically locking the door also provides some security to occupants for carjacking. This problem first started when the door lock actuator failed to work in freezing weather at approximately 19,000 miles. The dealer was unwilling to repair it under warranty do to not being able to duplicate the condition despite video evidence. The problem has progressed to where it now no longer functions at all. This is not an uncommon issue as I have spoke with others who have had the same failure. Previous model year trucks have has customer gotten extended warranty from Ford to cover the lock malfunctions. Customer Satisfaction Program 20M04. While driving on freeway, engine started to miss/hesitate. No check engine light. Miss/hesitation started to get more frequency and started smelling gas. No check engine light. Took offramp and truck died at stop sign. Pushed truck to gas station. Once out of truck, the smell of gas was prominent. Checked under hood and saw nothing unusual. Looked under truck on driver side and saw gas dripping from the transmission to the bumper under the truck. Looked under passenger side and saw more gas. Walked around to driver side, opened the driver door (which turns the fuel pump on) and saw gas spraying from under the truck. Got under the truck and determined that the supply connector on front side of fuel tank was disconnected. I reconnected the connector, clipped it locked, checked for leaks and restarted engine. There have been no further problems. Determined that approximately 10 plus gallons of gas sprayed under the truck. Approximate milage at time of incident was 6500 miles, current mileage is 6900 miles. I have purchased and plan to replace the following Ford part numbers per the Ford workshop manual which contains the connector and downstream fuel line: PC3Z 9J280, LC3Z 9S278.

The contact recently received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V455000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) and related the failure to the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.
Engine started to tick and loss of power, had it hauled to ford dealership in Tulia tx to later find out that it had faulty rocker arms which is a known problem after calling around asking other dealerships if they have seen other pickups come in with the same issue! After digging further into the motor they found that the fuel system was going bad and also would have to be replaced which is also a well known issue after ford recalled 300,000 of these pickups with the same issue
AC evaporator temperature sensor has gone out at 40k miles. Cannot defrost truck windshield to see properly. Ford TSB 22-2089. Have been quoted $3000 to remove dash and replace.
I brought y car to the ford dealer in NOv 2024 for the open recall of reprogram integrated trailer relay module #22V193 and then they called me that the fuel pump needed to be replace because the truck al of the sudden stop working i spend over 12,000 to get the car fix and now i see the open recall for the fuel pump defective #24V-957 i would like to get a refund for the money i paid
The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-250. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V957000 (FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was made aware of the issue. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact's husband stated that while driving 70 MPH, the accelerator pedal was depressed, and the vehicle failed to respond. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact's husband stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated, and the vehicle lost motive power. The contact stated that after turning off and restarting the vehicle, the vehicle functioned as needed for several days. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer and the contact's husband was informed that there was no technician available to repair the vehicle. The vehicle was diagnosed with turbo failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 82,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
October 2024 (while out of state vacation): The transmission violently downshifted upon moderate acceleration such that truck lurched with a loud bang, went into limp safe mode in traffic, with no rear warning because brakes were not applied. I was able to shut the vehicle off and restart, and able to engage the transmission, though engagement remained harsh. No Check Engine Lights were illuminated. Upon return home, I got the truck to local dealer service center. They had the truck for a week and said they could not determine a cause or problem...no scanner codes recorded? Their tech could not duplicate. From October 2024 until June 2025, this same behavior occurred 2-4 times, all without CELs. June 2025: Truck taken to local dealership with symptom list, only now occurring more frequently. At my insistence, I asked the dealer to involve Ford Engineering, to diagnose, and to compel Ford to honor the active full warranty still in place. This unresolved issue began October 2024. The dealer had the truck for over a month, and said he could not proceed further in diagnosing unless Ford authorized warranty payment for labor and parts. No progress was made, and it was told to me I HAVE TO CONTACT FORD and push, because the dealer is an independent shop, not Ford proper. I took the truck away and drove, to allow possible worsening, or some other code to be recorded or CELs to show. October 2025: Truck violentlt downshifted without acceleration or deceleration from 35 mph to almost )mph, skidding and fishtailing, going into limp mode, and I was almost rear ended by following traffic...since brakes were not activated to cause this. Truck went immediately into limp mode, and would not now engage PARK. I turned it off, restarted, and transmission would hardly go into DRIVE. I limped home, and vowed I will not drive it again until repaired! No CELs illuminated. The truck was towed to the dealer at my cost, and has been there over 2.5 weeks as of 11/8/25. Ford denies help.
Trailer brakes on my ram worked great on my rv trailer. Just traded it in on this truck and no trailer brakes. Message comes up saying brake controller fault. It's hard to stop a 8000# trailer in a emergecncy stopping situation. Local dealer checked my truck and couldn't say for sure what the problem is. They thought it was the brake module but they where on back order and I would be number 61 to get one. Certain year and model as mine are on recall but mine is not. I did a lot of reserch and Ford defintely has a problem with trailer brake controllers.
steering stabilizer bushing fail causing the shock to fall and rub a hole in the shock body and loose its fluid causing a death wobble in the steering wheel
I was driving at a highway speed of 65 mph when suddenly the check engine light came on and the speed quickly dropped to 25 mph. The alert that appeared on the truck computer was low fuel pump pressure. This put myself and my family at risk of a severe accident. The dealership found corrosion in the fuel line and a problem with fuel pump. They felt it was possibly from contaminated fuel. They were working on 3 other vehicles with the same problem. This had not happened before and this is a vehicle driven daily. The term the came up with was a " Catastrophic fuel system Failure"
A/C compressor failure
The BJB fuse panel gets water in it .The vehicle produces multiple alarms and the throttle stops working . So when going down the road it goes to a idle and you can't get out of the way of other vehicle's . The ford dealership said the BJB Panels do get water in them but have not heard of them causing this problem. There was a list of alarm's from the fuse panel failure it all happened about the same time .
10 day roundtrip from [XXX] to [XXX]. 5 incidents of catastrophic engine failure on interstates. Truck started to jerk, sputter, lost power at an alarming rate. No engine light until failure ocurred. Very dangerous with heavy holiday traffic. Lives were in danger, us and other vehicles around us. No one expects travel to go from 70 mph,to 50, 30, 15 in such a short period of time. Pulled over to "investigate" code failures we deemed as o2 sensors. Afterwards the truck started back up, no engine lights and drove as normal. Started using premium gasoline, hoping it would help. Started driving in right lane as much as possible but had a failure ocurr right in front of on ramp as well at interstate speeds. Had another family following us so they also witnessed and pulled over all incidents. Brought into Ford 7/18/24 upon return home. Paid $125 inspection fee, concern not present, come back if happens again. Makes no sense that codes not present to pull. 12/13/2024 engine light on, catalytic converter replaced. 06/19/25 truck had catastrophic failure returning from work on hwy. XXX on [XXX], just two miles from leaving home another failure with no warning lights in heavy Friday traffic in construction zone. Couldn't clear the traffic lane completely. Very scary. Waited for clearing and limped it to a nearby off ramp. Same jerking, loss of power. Vehicle towed to shop for 2 weeks, testing, fuel pump replaced. Picked up 07/07/25. Next day received recall notice 25S75 in the mail 7/08/25. Everything made sense. 1/24/26 - Battery failed inspection @ 40% during oil change. Replaced battery ourselves from Costco. 04/23/26- Warning light, P0420 pulled, shop recommended engine tune -up. Paid $175 inspection fee + $671.20 tune up. 5/29/26 engine light on, P0420 pulled, recommend catalytic convertor replaced but not under factory warranty anymore so wants us to pay $4000 bill. Escalated up through Ford. As of 6/5/26 - Ford will pay half. I refuse. Should be covered by recall. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-250. The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 22V250000 (VISIBILITY) and 24V957000 (FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL); however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The contact stated that while driving 65 MPH, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended while depressing the accelerator pedal and the vehicle stalled. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact coasted the vehicle over to the side of the road. The contact exited the vehicle and noticed diesel fuel was on the ground. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed, and it was determined that the fuel pump had failed. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The failure mileage was approximately 73,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available for NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V957000 (FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL). Parts distribution disconnect for NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V250000 (VISIBILITY).
No warning, truck burned up.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-250. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds the message "Prevent Collision" had displayed before the braking system had erroneously activated causing the vehicle to abruptly stop in the middle of the road. During the failure no other vehicles or objects were nearby to cause the "Collision Prevention System" to activate. The contact stated that the failure had occurred on several occasions. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the front camera was faulty and needed to be replaced. The front camera was replaced but after retrieving the vehicle the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 41,000.
Loss of power windows, loss of A/C and heat, loss of turn signals, loss of radio, and loss of head lights. As well as engine not shutting off after key is pulled out. The first initial problems arose a year ago, not long after purchasing a 2022 Ford f250 superduty. Only when it rained or during very cold days the power to the front dash would be out including power windows and locks, radio, and A/C and heat. Ford dealership was unable to diagnose the problem. A year down the road, directly following a hard rain, the engine would not shut off when turning the key and removing it. I had to pull the fuel pump relay fuse from under hood to get the truck to shut off. After removing the lid, which was way too easy to take off, I noticed that all th box fuses were submerged in water. Yes there are safety concerns, what if my child ir myself was to get trapped inside the truck if the power windows and locks are malfunctioning? And on a hot day when the heat and air conditioning are also not working? How long would the truck have to continue to run before it shut off? There are electrical fire risks directly correlated with water in the fuse box. There were no warning lamps. Ford posted a service bulletin on regards to this matter. The power distribution module and the fuse box lid are at fault. The truck has since been repaired and are making us pay for it because it is 5,000 miles out of warranty. WE ARE extremely dissatisfied Ford customers!
The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-250. The contact stated that the clip and trim detached from around the sunroof and rear windshield. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact called the local dealer, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 37,000.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-250. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, his daughter observed a crack under the Ford emblem where the air bag was located. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a complaint was filed. The failure mileage was 89,072.
My reverse camera (the bed camera) quits working at random times. Sometimes it works fine. Other times it shows nothing but a white static looking screen and sometimes the button just doesn’t respond at all when I try to select the bed camera option.
All 4 tires have this oily/greasy substance that is leaking from where the letters are at on “MICHELIN”. The oily/greasy substance it eating at the tires specifically around the letters. I believe these tires are faulty. Notice the oily/greasy substance a year ago maybe longer. Then recently found that where this oily/greasy substance is at is eating away at the tires. All 4 have some signs 2 of them have major signs. I have more pictures but they won’t upload.
ENG Light is on and losing throttle. When it loses throttle wrench light comes on. While driving on the interstate, the truck loses power and reduces speed on its own. It is difficult to maneuver to the side of road. It has been towed several times and repaired by more than one Ford dealership. We requested a buy back when the truck was under a year old and Akins Ford Winder Ga. refused to buy it back. It currently has 37,000 miles and has been sitting at the Akins dealership for two weeks. This truck could potentially cause an accident because it decelerates quickly and because of its size it is difficult to steer out of Atlanta, GA traffic. I have warned Ford Relationship director that someone will be injured in this vehicle. I was informed that I should contact NTSB and the Attorney General State of Georgia.
Multiple times, when engaging the throttle, it's as if all power from the engine is cut for a few seconds before it kicks back in.
With ambient outdoor temperatures below freezing the front right drivers door latch/lock is frozen and not operable during at least the last 5 days. Also, the manual locking mechanism is unable to be pulled to unlocked at it sits flush with the top of door panel leaving the door not operable. It is clearly frozen as the latch/lock starts working after the truck is allowed to warmup after significant run time (usually more than 30 minutes). ***NHTSA something needs to be done with these latches. I previously owned a 2017 Ford F-250 that experienced the same freezing lock/latch issues. Ford supposedly revised the installation and some minor parts for these locks/latches. I cannot fathom how has been allowed to continue and no recall has been issued. DOOR LATCHES KEEP DOORS CLOSED, UNDER THE RIGHT CONDITIONS THE 2017 SUPER DUTY I HAD WOULD NOT ALLOW THE DOORS TO LATCH CLOSED. I fear this will be the same on this truck.
I was in a really bad accident nd went off n embankment. My chest hit the steering wheel md broke my sternum. My seatbelt also didn’t do it port by locking me in place and let me hit forward. Everyone at the scene. Could not believ the airbags didn’t deploy and the seatbelt didn’t help more. I am blessed and very fortunate to be alive!! Both doors on passenger side and driver side are hard to open . The damage where the car hit me was in the front.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-250. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 65 MPH in heavy rain, the windshield wipers were activated however, the driver’s side wiper arm failed to raise up high enough to clear the driver’s side windshield. The contact stated that that the wiper arm was going back to the start position with force. The contact stated that the wiper arm was striking the bottom of the windshield with a loud cracking sound. The contact stated that the driver's side wiper arm was also impeding the function of the passenger side wiper arm. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer or independent mechanic. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V250000 (Visibility). The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 39,000.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-250. The contact stated that water was entering the cabin of the vehicle. The contact stated that the water entered the vehicle from the roof running light assembly. The water entered the headliner and ran down the passenger’s side front door inside panel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a leak from the roof running light. The contact was informed that the roof running light assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact was informed that the damage from the water leak was not covered under warranty. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 2,200.
All four tires LT275/70R18 on the vehicle are junking out separating with large pieces of rubber. That should not be happening with only 9,628 miles driven on the majority of highway miles with the vehicle only. The tires are original equipment to the Ford F250 purchased in February 2023. The vehicle was taken into the Ford dealership on 18 October 2023 dealers kicked it over to Goodyear manufacture called and had a tire inspection done at a local Goodyear dealer they agreed there was a problem with the tire but are not wanting to fully replace the tires.
Good Year Adventure All terrain M&S LT 275/70R18 load range E DOT [XXX] these tires came on my brand new 2022 Ford F250 bought at a Ford dealership in Colorado Springs February 2023 I drove it off the lot with only 67 miles on it. The truck as been driven 99% of time on paved roads with a unpaved county road here an there. The problem I am having is with all four mounted tires on the truck I noticed at approximately 9,000 miles the tread was peeling/chunking looking very rough & wearing fast for being so new. On October 16, 2023 took truck into dealer where I bought it at with 9,556 miles after returning from my trip they agreed it was unusual looking passed it off for me to contact Good Year which they looked at and said same but not willing to do full replacement of tires. Ford will not replace tires under warranty because "wear is consistent with driving on gravel or unpaved roads" Is that not what all terrain tires are made for? With me driving so little on unpaved roads I really think there most be a problem with the tire compound in this set of tires. After moving truck parked on concrete there are shreds/little pieces of rubber off of the tires that cannot be normal. The tires were rotated as recommend at the dealership at 5,553 miles. Vehicle was towing a trailer and the vehicle would not apply the trailer brakes. Further, the vehicle showed on the driver information screen that the trailer was disconnected.
Driving down a busy highway and my truck starts lurching and losing power and then just dies in the road. I had to wait a few minutes and the truck would start up. There were no warnings or lights initially. This happened three times. After the third time it would no longer start, and a solid check engine light appeared after the third time. The check engine light did not present itself the first two times. According to the dealer service department the fuel pump quit working. Based on the time of day, the traffic was horrific, and I was almost rear ended when the truck stopped in the middle of the road.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-250. The contact stated while driving 40-45 MPH, the low oil pressure warning light illuminated intermittently, even though an oil change had been performed on the vehicle 23 days prior. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who informed the contact that a tool was required to take the engine apart to diagnose the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure an advised the contact to tow the vehicle to another dealer who had the tool required to perform the diagnostic test. The failure mileage was approximately 10,460.
Problem 1: The F250 has the Pro Trailer Backup option will electronic torque overlay steering. The truck wanders when going straight and the steering feels disconnected driving through curves. Both conditions occur at 45+ MPH. Truck alignment was checked three times. Each time alignment was in spec. No engine light or fault codes with electronic torque overlay steering. Truck is going in again to David McDavid in Fort Worth, TX on Aug. 21st for a deeper inspection. Problem 2: Pre collision warning appears randomly with no vehicles in front or sides. This happens at highway speeds. That said, the pre collision warning has worked at least twice when traffic abruptly stopped and I had to brake equally aggressive. Truck currently has 6,600 miles. Symptoms have been there since driven off the dealer lot new.
My truck since new would not go into drive or reverse sometimes it's under warranty, I took it to the ford dealer and they were able see the problem but stated in writing that nothing needs to be done just wait for it to engage the gear when I'm ready to drive the truck. Please help me if possible. Thank you
Brand new truck. Initial problem 6-8/2022: The truck would shut off after 15 minutes and then would not start for 45 minutes, I repeated this 4 times. Then while I was driving and turning around in a parking lot it actually stopped, everything went dead, no lights, key didn't have any affect, nothing, and then it started after 10-15 minutes. Dealer replaced the fuse box and I haven't had a problem until the other day. Current problem 7/2023: I was driving about 35 MPH and it just died, no power, no lights, no radio, nothing except interior lights. Tried numerous times to start it but nothing, no sound at all, dead. After about 8 minutes it started. Called numerous dealers and could not get the vehicle looked at for at least 6 weeks and they were skeptical they would be able to find anything unless it did it while at the dealer. The truck has 18,000 miles on it now so it is a very rare problem yet one that could cause a dangerous situation if it dies at the wrong time. I'm extremely concerned the truck could die while driving on the interstate, which I do frequently.
The contact’s husband owns a 2022 Ford F-250. The contact stated that while her husband was driving at an undisclosed speed, when the contact’s husband smelled a burning odor when he then noticed smoke located near the cup holder. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact’s husband was able to veer the vehicle off the road and exit the vehicle. No injuries were sustained. No medical attention was required. The fire department was notified, and the fire was extinguished. A police nor fire report was filed. The contact stated that she was informed that the origin of the fire was the result of the connecting LDB wiring harness. The vehicle was towed to a collision lot. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer was not notified of the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 12,000.
I live in a mountain area, many steep hills. When driving down a steep windy road (speed under 30 MPH) I use the exhaust brake so I don't have to ride my brakes. However, the exhaust brake keeps going off and on. Worse yet the engine throttles up increasing speed. I have to then press my brake peddle to slow the truck down. Once I release the brake the truck repeats the same process of speeding up. If I turn off the exhaust brake the issue goes away but then I need to ride the brake. If I am on a steep straight road going over 40 MPH the exhaust brake works like it is supposed to. Another issue of safety is when approaching a stop the engine RPM will not drop below 1200 RPM allowing the truck to slow down unless I push the brake harder then normal. This also happens when driving in a parking lot. The engine will stay at high idle moving the truck to fact in a parking lot situation. These issues are very consistent not just one in a while. I have had the truck into FORD and they say the computer checks out OK. I showed Ford the high idle issue in their own parking lot. They just tell me they can't find the problem. I am not confident that Ford will fix this very unsafe problem. I have now found another person with a 2021 F250 with the same issues. She said Ford will not help her either. I have checked on a few internet forums and see that other have reported the same issues. This is a serious safety issue and need to be addressed. I need to e
Power fold mirrors do not fold in or out as designed. Mirrors do not completely fold out causing safety issue when a need to change lanes. Issue appears to occur when ambient outdoor temperature is above 85 degrees and/or when the sun heats mirrors. I have reported the issue to the Ford dealer several times when the problem was intermittent and was told they could not diagnose the issue due to it being intermittent. The service writers I have spoken with also stated they have never heard of the issue. This problem started at approximately 6,000 miles (intermittent) and has escalated to very close to 100% of the time now. Vehicle mileage is currently 46,000 miles. There are several complaints on various forums on the internet regarding this issue. Vehicle is available for inspection.
Driving down the road. 70 degree day. Rear slider exploded. Defrost was not on.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-250 SD. The contact stated that while driving at slow speeds over a speed bump and raising the foot off the accelerator pedal, the engine continued to rev for an additional four seconds after releasing the accelerator pedal. Additionally, while pulling into the traffic and depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle failed to immediately accelerate as intended. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer on several occasions due to the failures and the throttle body and PCM was updated but the failures persisted. The manufacturer was not yet contacted. The failure mileage was 3,511.
I was driving down I-64 and the sunroof suddenly exploded with a bang that sounded like a shotgun going off. Subsequently, my family and I were showered with glass pellets. Nothing hit this roof. The roof simply exploded. It caused me to swerve and almost hit the car next to me and cars behind me were swerving to avoid glass pellets that were blowing off the top of the truck. My wife and I both experienced superficial cuts to our fingers and my wife cut her toe cleaning up the glass. This is a safety issue in every way. Ford refused to stand behind the repair and I was forced to pay for the repair.
The contact's husband owns a 2022 Ford F-250. The contact stated while her husband was driving 30 MPH and pulling into the dealer's driveway for an oil change, the vehicle stalled. An unknown warning light was illuminated. The vehicle failed to restart and was pulled into the service bay. The dealer was able to diagnose the vehicle with the assistance of a manufacturer field technician. The dealer diagnosed that there were metal shavings in the oil and in the fuel system. The dealer repaired or replaced the internal high-pressure fuel pump components. The contact later received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V957000 (Fuel System, Diesel); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated while the dealer was performing an oil change on the vehicle recently, and the dealer informed the contact that there were metal shavings in the oil and there was oil leaking into the engine compartment. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact they could not verify the recall remedy status information. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
On 2 separate occasions (3-25-23, 3-26-23) the transmission was frozen in drive, could not bring it up to neutral ,reverse,or park. The first incident took about 10 minutes to put the truck in another gear. The second incident took about 20 minutes to engage in neutral and then another 20 minutes to engage the reverse mode.
