FORD FIESTA 2012 HAS SEVERAL PROBLEMS WITH THE TRANSMISSION, FIRST THE CAR JERKS AROUND AND MAKES A HORRIBLE NOISES. THEN THE CAR SHUTS OFF RANDOMLY WHILE DRIVING. THIS CAR IS A SAFETY HAZARD. STALLING AND JERKING AROUND IS NOT WHAT A CAR SHOULD DO. PLUS BOTH BACKSEAT LATCHES BOTH BROKE AND THE DOORS WERE UNABLE TO CLOSE.
HEADLIGHTS ARE GOING OUT WHILE I AM DRIVING... IT'S THE JUCTION BOX. I'M UNABLE TO UPLOAD ANY PHOTOS..JUCTION BOX RELAYS ARE CORRODED. THIS STARTED 2019 AND MOST RECENT TWO WEEKS AGO.. I'M SO AFRAID THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE WAS TAKING TO THE DEALER TO HAVE RECALL REPAIR 19B22 COMPLETED. AT THE TIME THE DEALER STATED THE REPAIR WASN'T NECESSARY. A FEW MONTHS LATER THE CORROSION WAS FOUND ON THE POWER SUPPLY TERMINAL TO THE HEADLIGHTS AS WELL AS 3 OTHER TERMINALS. THE CONSUMER REQUESTED TO HAVE TO RECALL REPAIR COMPLETED UNDER THE RECALL. *JS
DUE TO MOISTURE AND DEBRIS GETTING INTO THE FUSE BOX UNDER THE HOOD OF THE VEHICLE, THE RELAY FOR THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS HAS CORRODED AND ONE OF THE PINS IS CORRODED INTO THE FUSE BOX. THIS HAS LEFT ME WITHOUT THE USE OF MY LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS. I HAVE CONTACTED FORD US AND WAS TOLD THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO. THE REPAIR FOR THIS ISSUE WILL COST APPROXIMATELY $1500 FROM THE DEALER FOR PARTS AND LABOR WITHOUT ANY SOLUTION TO THE SEALING OF THE FUSE BOX. WHEN I CALLED FORD US CUSTOMER SERVICE AND REQUESTED TO SPEAK WITH A SUPERVISOR REGARDING THE ISSUE, THEY HUNG UP ON MY. THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN ONGOING WITH 2011-2013 FORD FIESTAS. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN AS THE HEADLIGHTS JUST QUIET WORKING. THIS FUSE BOX ALSO CONTROLS VARIOUS OTHER CRITICAL COMPONENTS OF THE VEHICLE AND IS TIED INTO THE MAIN WIRING HARNESS. THE CORROSION ISSUES CAN ALSO AFFECT THOSE SYSTEMS AS WELL.
CAR WILL STOP AT TIMES YOU HAVE TO LET IT SIT FOR AN HOUR, VIBRATES, SOUND LIKE PLASTIC MOVING AROUND WHEN CAR IS ON, HARD TO GO UP HILL NO ACCELERATION, JERKS. I WAS ON A CITY STREET IT STOPPED IN TRAFFIC SO I'M ONLY ABLE TO GO TO THE STORE I HAVE TO LEAVE IT AT A FRIENDS HOME SCARED TO DRIVE IT HOME AS WE LIVE INTO DIFFERENT COUNTIES WERE YOU HAVE TO GET ON THE HIGHWAY NOT SAFE. I WAS ACTUALLY LOOKING UP TRANSMISSION COST WHEN THIS APPEARED I WAS TOLD BY A MECHANIC THAT IS THE ISSUE AND IT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD FIESTA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25-30 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO WINNER FORD (250 HADDONFIELD-BERLIN RD, CHERRY HILL, NJ 08034, (856) 428-4000) TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO RETRIEVE A FAULT CODE OR DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED FOUR TIMES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000. *AS
HASN'T BEEN RIGHT SINCE DAY ONE. IT WAS ORIGINALLY DIAGNOSED AS ENGINE, BUT CLEARLY IT'S BEEN THE TRANSMISSION ALL ALONG.
THE LOW BEAMS HAVE STOPPED WORKING. I NOW CANNOT DRIVE AFTER DARK AND IF I HAVE AN EMERGENCY WITH ONE OF MY THREE KIDS I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TAKE THEM ANYWHERE. HIGH BEAM AND PARKING LIGHTS WORK. REPLACED HEADLIGHT BULBS AND STILL WON'T WORK. THERE WAS A RECALL IN CANADA BUT NOT THE USA. IT'S BEEN MONTHS AND CAN NOT AFFORD TO HAVE THE FUSE BOX REPLACED. RADIO HAS ALSO STOPPED WORKING FOR THE PAST 3 WEEKS
TRANSMISSION CLUTCH SHUDDER THIS CAR IS OWNED BY MY 83 YEAR OLD FATHER. I AM HIS POA. FOR A WHILE HE NOTICED THAT WHEN HE PUT HIS FOOT ON THE GAS THE CAR WOULD HESITATE. IT GOT REALLY BAD LAST WEEK. WE HAD IT TOWED TO HOFFMAN FORD. THEY TOLD US ABOUT THE RECALL AND I READ MANY ARTICLES ABOUT IT ONLINE AS WELL AS THE LAWSUIT. THE DEALERSHIP DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AS THIS RECALL HOWEVER BECAUSE HE WAS AT 106,000 MILES IT WAS NOT COVERED AND IT WOULD COST $2500 TO FIX IT. THE CAR IS NOT WORTH THAT MUCH. IF FORD KNEW THERE WAS A PROBLEM THAN THIS SHOULD BE FIXED BY FORD AT NO COST NO MATTER THE MILEAGE. HE IS NOW WORRIED ABOUT HIS SAFETY AND SO AM I. I CONTACTED FORD CORPORATE AND THEY TOLD ME THAT HE CAN FIX IT AND SAVE THE RECEIPT. IF THE RECALL CHANGES THEN HE COULD GET REIMBURSED. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. ALSO THE DEALERSHIP CHARGED ME $160 TO DO A DIAGNOSTIC AND DID NOT FIX ANYTHING!
JUST BOUGHT THE CAR. NEXT DAY THE TRANSMISSION STARTED ACTING UP WHILE IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC. JERKING, BUCKING LIKE A WILD BRONCO, SMELLED HOT. TOOK IT IN TO FORD AND DISCOVERED I NEED TO REPLACE CLUTCH. IT WILL BE THE 3RD CLUTCH ON A CAR WITH 79,000 MILES.
TRANSMISSION FAILS TO OPERATE PROPERLY IT WILL NOT SHIFT INTO GEAR AND WILL NOT START THE VEHICLE WITHOUT MANUALLY SHIFTING THROUGH THE GEARS TO START THE VEHICLE WHILE DRIVING THE COMPUTER DISPLAY READS WAIT 5 MIN THE TRANSMISSION IS IS HOT.
I WAS DRIVING AND ATTEMPTING A TURN. THE TRANSMISSION SHUDDERED AND STOPPED MOVING. LIKE I WAS IN NEUTRAL. I NEARLY GOT HIT. I STOPPED THE CAR RESTARTED IT AND DROVE AWAY.
IN 2017 MY BACK DOOR ON PASSENGER SIDE WOULD NOT SHUT, I DROVE TO A FORD DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THAT THE LATCHES ON FORD FIESTA 2012 WERE RECALLED AND THAT ALL THE LATCHES HAD TO BE REPLACED. LESS THAN TWO YEARS LATER THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR LATCH BROKE AGAIN AND I TO IT BACK AND WAS TOLD THAT IT HAD BEEN FIXED BEFORE UNDER RECALL AND WOULD HAVE TO BE PAID OUT OF POCKET, I SAID I DON'T BELIEVE IT WAS EVER FIXED, AND I WAS TOLD THAT PART WAS ORDERED IN 2017. THEN I WAS TOLD THAT I COULD NOT TAKE MY CAR UNTIL I FOR THE ANALYSIS RAN ON IT, WHICH WE ALREADY KNEW WHAT WAS AND I COULD HAVE GOTTEN DONE FOR FREE, I WAS TOLD IT SHOWED THAT MY LOCK HAD TO BE CHANGED ALSO, BUT WHEN I WAS CALLED TO AND TOLD THAT MY CAR WAS READY AND A DIFFERENT PRICE WAS QUOTED IT WAS DIFFERENT, WHEN ASKED WHY I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS ONLY THE LATCH THAT WAS BROKEN. I TRIED TO SPEAK TO THE SERVICE MANAGER AND HE NEVER CALLED ME BACK OUT OF THE FOR TIMES THAT CALLED, AND ON TOP OF ALL THAT A SALES REP HAD THE AUDACITY TO CALL ME TO "SEE IF THEY COULD GET ME IN ANOTHER VEHICLE"! I HAVE HAD THIS CAR FOR NEARLY FIVE YEARS AND IT'S ONLY BEEN IN THE SHOP TWICE, ONCE FOR A PROBLEM WITH MY DOOR THAT WAS RECALLED AND FOR LATCH WAS REPLACED AFTER A RECALLED LATCH WAS REPLACED. I TRIED TO REPORT THIS TO FORD HEADQUARTERS AND WAS TOLD TO KEEP MY RECEIPT FOR MY MY JUST IN CASE
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD FIESTA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR WAS STUCK IN THE OPEN POSITION. THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO CLOSE THE DOOR, BUT WAS UNSUCCESSFUL. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED AND THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 153,750. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.
I SAVED FOR THREE YEARS TO PURCHASE A CAR. AND TRUSTED THE FORD NAME. MY 2012 FIESTA, WITH 60,000 MILES, IS SHUTTERING AND MISSING WHEN I STOP AND GO. IT TAKES AWHILE TO GET GOING AND JUMPS. I MADE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE DEALERSHIP AFTER HEARING ABOUT FORD MOTOR COMPANY TELLING THEIR DEALERSHIPS TO FIX THE ISSUE. AFTER I GOT TO THE DEALER I WAS TOLD I WOULD HAVE TO PAY $120 FOR THEM TO EVEN DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. AND THAT FORD MAY COVER ANYWHERE FROM NOTHING TO EVERYTHING. IT COULD BE 1/3, 2/3 OF THE COST. THEY WOULD DECIDE. I HAVEN'T HAD MY CAR FOR 3 DAYS. IT'S JUST SITTING AT THE SHOP WAITING ON FORD MOTOR COMPANY TO 'DECIDE HOW MUCH THEY WILL COVER, IF ANY'. I AM INFURIATED!
I RECENTLY PURCHASED THIS ONE FROM LOCAL DEALER HE SAID ALL IS GOOD. BUT TRANSMISSION IS NOT GOOD AT ALL
I WAS DRIVING DOWN A CITY STREET IN MY FRIEND'S 2012 FORD FIESTA I NOTICED A WEIRD SMELL, I KEPT GOING ABOUT A QUARTER OF A MILE TIL I REACHED MY DESTINATION. MY FRIEND GETS IN THE CAR HE NOTICED THE SMELL . I LOOKED OUT THE WINDSHIELD AND I SEE A LIL SMOKE COMING FROM THE HOOD, ALL THE SUDDEN ALOT OF SMOKE COMES OUT . I POP THE HOOD SHUT THE CAR OFF AND GET OUT OF THERE . MY FRIEND RUNS AND GRABS FIRE EXTINGUISHERS HIM AND ANOTHER MAN TRY TO OPEN THE HOOD IT WON'T OPEN YOU COULD SEE THE FLAMES COMING UNDERNEATH THE CAR THEN THERE IS A POP . THEY TAKE A SHOVEL BEAT ON IT ENOUGH TO OPEN IT ENOUGH WHERE THEY COULD PUT THE FIRE OUT. THANK GOD THEY WERE THERE,NO ONE GOT HURT. I AM ENCLOSING PICTURES OF MY CAR, MY FRIEND DIDN'T HAVE FULL COVERAGE INSURANCE SO HE'S WITHOUT A CAR RIGHT NOW . ALL THIS HAPPENED WITHIN 10 MIN.IT WAS VERY SCAREY, I'M GLAD I STOPPED AT MY FRIEND'S PLACE BECAUSE I MIGHT NOT HAVE MADE IT OUT IN TIME.WE DIDN'T MAKE A POLICE REPORT NOR DID WE CALL THE FIRE DEPARTMENT .A PIECE OF THE CAR WAS LAYING ON THE GROUND AFTER THE FIRE.THE HOOD RELEASE BURNED . THE TRANSMISSIONS DOES NOT SHIFT CORRECTLY, THE CAR SHUTTERS AND DOES NOT ACCELERATE CORRECTLY.
TRANSMISSION BALKS ON ACCELERATION. WHEN ENTERING EXPRESSWAY ON RAMPS THE TRANSMISSION SLIPS AND CAUSES TROUBLE MERGING WITH THE UP TO SPEED TRAFFIC. FROM A STOP IT OFTEN OPERATES FLAWLESSLY BUT SOMETIMES WILL NOT ACCELERATE WITHOUT SURGES FORWARD AND BACKWARD. THIS UNPREDICTABILITY IS DANGEROUS. I WILL NOT LET MY WIFE OR DAUGHTER DRIVE THIS CAR. IT IS DOWNRIGHT DANGEROUS.
POWER SHIFTING CLUTCH ISSUE. FORD SOLD ME A DEFECTIVE MOTOR UPON SALE. THEN THEY TRIED TO BUY MY CAR FOR 1K INSTEAD OF FIXING IT
TRANSMISSION SLIPPING HAD TO PAY $4000 DOLLARS TO REPLACE PICKED UP 7/16/2019 FORD DEALER TOLD ME WAS NOT COVERED UNDER EXTENDED WARRANTY. CAR WAS MAKING NOISE AS RPMS WAS INCREASING.

THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE DUAL CLUTCH WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: CAS22261423. NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 140,000.
THE PASSENGER-SIDE DOOR WILL NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE.
THE VEHICLE HAS A TRANSMISSION SHUDDER AND DOES NOT SHIFT GEAR PROPERLY AS IT ACCELERATES. THIS CAUSES THE VEHICLE TO BE SUBJECT TO UNEXPECTED CONDITIONS OF LACK OF RESPONSE WHICH MAY CAUSE SAFETY ISSUES.
MY 2012 FORD FIESTA'S TRANSMISSION HAS BEEN SHUTTERING, SLIPPING IN AND OUT OF GEAR, AND STALLING ON HILLS OR IN INTERSECTIONS ON BUSY HIGHWAYS OR CITY STREETS. I'VE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALERSHIP NUMEROUS TIMES AND I GET THE SAME RESPONSE, (THERE IS NOTHING WRONG SIR) IS WHAT THEY TELL ME. I LOVE THE CAR, LOVE THE FUEL ECONOMY, BUT EVERY TIME I DRIVE IT IT MAKES ME WORRY ABOUT BREAKING DOWN IN THE MIDDLE OF BUSY TRAFFIC AND LEAVING ME STRANDED, WITH NO OTHER WAY TO GET TO WORK. I FEEL LIKE IF FORD WOULD DO A RECALL TO REPLACE THESE FAULTY TRANSMISSIONS, THEN THERE WOULD BE A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE ON THE WAY THAT CAR MAKES ME FEEL WHILE DRIVING.
TERRIBLE SHUTTERING FROM THE TRANSMISSION, I HAD TO BRING IT TO THE LOCAL FORD AFTER I CHANGED THE BATTERY, IT WOULDN'T SHIFT THOUGHT THE GEARS. SO THEY CHANGED THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE AND THE SOLENOID'S, 4 MONTHS LATER MY FIANCE WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGH WAY AND THE CAR LOOSES ALL POWER (STEERING, BRAKING, E.C.T) I TAKE IT TO THE LOCAL FORD DEALER IT TAKES THEM 32 DAYS TO GET BACK TO ME TO TELL ME ITS GOING TO NEED A NEW TRANSMISSON WITCH COST $4,800 TO FIX A $7,500 CAR AND THERE'S NOTHING THEY CAN DO ABOUT THAT. KNOWING THAT THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM FOR THESE VEHICLES. CAR JUST REJECTS FUEL AND FUEL PUMPS RANDOMLY.

AFTER TUNE UP, AIR MASS SENSOR, CAMSHAFT SENSOR,AND CRANK SHAFT SENSOR, OIL CHANGE , CAR ENGINE BLIGHT REMAINS ON, AND WHEN AIR CONDITIONING IS TURNED ON CAR LOSES POWER TO THE POINT IT STALL AND BREAKS LOCK AND WILL ROLL OUT OF CONTROL

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PALLOTTA FORD LINCOLN (LOCATED AT 4199 CLEVELAND RD, WOOSTER, OH 44691, (330) 345-6600), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 32,682.
ON 6/16/19 I WAS DRIVING ON THE I89 IN VERMONT AND BOTH OF MY HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT ON THE INTERSTATE. THIS SCARED ME AS I HAD NO VISIBILITY ON THE INTERSTATE. MY HIGH BEAMS WERE ABLE TO WORK, AND EVENTUALLY, I TURNED BY LOW BEAMS BACK ON. THEY SEEMED TO WORK. THEY THEN CUT OUT AGAIN. THIS HAPPENED OFF AND ON FOR THE REST OF MY DRIVE HOME. LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT BACK HOME. I TOOK MY CAR TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP THE NEXT DAY. TODAY 6/19/19 THEY REPORTED THAT THERE WAS CORROSION IN MY FUSE BOX, AND THEY REPORTED THE CHEAPEST OPTION WAS $500 TO CLEAN THE BOX, AND REPLACE THE PINS. I ASKED THEM WHAT WOULD STOP THE CORROSION, THEY SAID THERE WAS NO GUARANTEE THAT THE CORROSION WOULD STOP. WHEN I LOOKED ONLINE IT APPEARS THAT SEVERAL OTHER PEOPLE HAVE HAD ISSUES WITH THIS SAME PROBLEM. WHEN AT A COMPLETE STOP THE CAR SHAKES. WHEN PRESSING ON THE GAS FROM A COMPLETE STOP THE CAR SHUDDERS AND STALLS. WHEN DRIVING AT A SLOW PLACE (UNDER 30 MPH) THE CAR WILL VIBRATE BRIEFLY.
TCM TRANSMISSION MODULE RECALLED MY FORD STORE IN FORT WALTON BEACH SAID THEY WOULD NOT REPLACE TCM UNDER RECALL I WOULD HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET

ON ONE OCCASION, THE ENGINE RPMS SUDDENLY REVVED VERY HIGH BEFORE THE ENGINE STALLED AND THE SHIFTER REMAINED STUCK IN THE PARK POSITION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO BEAMAN FORD (1717 TENNESSEE 46, DICKSON, TN) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 133,000.
I HAVE A 2012 FORD FIESTA WHICH HAS HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS OVER THE COURSE OF THE TIME I'VE HAD THE CAR. ON THE THURSDAY BEFORE THE MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND I PUT THE CAR INTO REVERSE AND THE CAR WOULDN'T STOP. WE WERE GOING VERY SLOW AND THANK GOODNESS DIDN'T HIT ANYTHING. WE HIT A CURB BEHIND US THAT STOPPED THE CAR. I SHIFTED INTO DRIVE AND IT MOVED FORWARD. WE TOOK IT INTO THE DEALERSHIP THAT NEXT MORNING AND THEY REPLACED THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER AND THE CLUTCH. I'VE DONE MULTIPLE WARRANTY CLAIMS & I'VE HAD ONGOING TRANS/CLUTCH ISSUES THAT FINALLY RESULTED WITH AS REPLACEMENT LAST MONTH. NOW THE CAR IS NO LONGER JERKING AND SLIPPING BUT IT'S SLOWER WITH DECREASED GAS MILEAGE. I'VE HAD A SYNC ISSUE/ RADIO ELECTRICAL ISSUE AND TOOK IT IN MULTIPLE TIMES, IT'S STILL NOT FIXED. RECENTLY THE RADIO/SYNC COMPLETELY FAILS BUT IT'S INTERMITTENT. NOW I'M BEING TOLD THAT BECAUSE THE SYNC/RADIO ISSUE IS INTERMITTENT, I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL IT'S NOT WORKING COMPLETELY TO TAKE IT IN. IN THE LAST 6 WEEKS THE CAR HAS BEEN IN TWICE FOR BRAKE ISSUES, (I TOOK IT BACK TWICE IN THE SAME DAY + TRANS REPLACEMENT) THEN AGAIN TWO WEEKS LATER. I'M ON THE THIRD TIME TO THE DEALERSHIP OVER THE SYNC SYSTEM IN THE LAST YEAR, THAT IS STILL NOT FIXED.
MY 2012 FORD FIESTA WILL RANDOMLY LOSE POWER AND NOT ENGAGE TO SHIFT. THIS HAPPENS SO RANDOMLY, ON SIDE STREETS, MAJOR ROADS, FROM STOP, WHILE MOCING, ANYTIME. THIS PROBLEM IS GETTING PROGRESSIVELY WORST. I TRY TO AVOID HIGHWAYS IF POSSIBLE DUE TO THE FACT THAT THIS OCCUR ONCE ON A HIGHWAY AND IT ALMOST CAUSE A MAJOR ACCIDENT. I DEFINITELY DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE ANY LONGER.
DOOR LATCH ON THE DRIVER SIDE AND PASSENGER REAR DOOR NOT WORKING.
VEHICLE HAS SURGED AT STOP SIGNS ON CITY STREETS AND AT TIMES ON THE HIGHWAY WILL SEEM TO LOSE POWER. THESE INCIDENTS HAVE NEVER RESULTED IN AN ACCIDENT, BUT IT SEEMS AS THOUGH THE TRANSMISSION IS FAULTY.
THE CAR IS A 2012 FORD FIESTA THAT I PURCHASED FROM A DEALERSHIP IN APRIL OF THIS YEAR -2019. THE CAR ACCELERATES UNEXPECTANTLY WHEN YOU START IT OR AFTER A STOP. WHILE DRIVING, THE CAR WILL SUDDENLY JERK (OFTEN VIOLENTLY WHICH CAUSES MY ENTIRE BODY TO MOVE FORWARD AND BACK). THE CAR SHUDDERS AND KICKS WHEN DRIVEN. THE CAR SHAKES AND MAKES LOUD NOISE WHILE IDLING. THE CAR ROLLS BACKWARD WHILE AT A STOP AND AFTER RELEASE OF THE BRAKES. THESE PROBLEMS MAKES IT VERY DIFFICULT TO CONTROL THE CAR. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE IN THE CAR AND FEAR THAT IT POSES A DANGER TO MYSELF, OTHER DRIVERS, AND THE PUBLIC IN GENERAL. I HAVE DRIVEN MANY YEARS AND HAD A NUMBER OF CARS. THIS IS FIRST TIME I FEEL COMPELLED TO VOICE A CONCERN ABOUT A VEHICLE. I AM DISAPPOINTED THAT THESE CARS CAN BE SOLD WITHOUT ANY WARNING OF THE PROBLEMS TO BUYERS AND THAT SUCH CARS ARE EVEN ON THE ROADS.
RECENTLY MY FIESTA HAS BEEN SHUTTING OFF WHILE DRIVING. IT IS A MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND I AM NOT STALLING. IT HAPPENS MOST OFTEN WHILE DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS OR SWITCHING GEARS. IT IS VERY DANGEROUS AND SCARY.
THIS CAR HAS BEEN A DISASTER FROM DAY ONE. THE TRANSMISSION ISSUES THAT FORD IS AWARE OF HAVE ALMOST CAUSED NUMEROUS ACCIDENTS. THE CAR BUCKS AND CARRIES ON ALL THE TIME. WHILE STOPPED FOR A RED LIGHT YOU PUSH ON GAS AND IT DOESN'T MOVE THEM ALL THE SUDDEN IT DARTS INTO TRAFFIC. ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO LOW BEAMS STOPPED WORKING AND NOBODY KNOWS WHY. THEN 2 WEEKS AGO ALL THE SUDDEN CAR OVERHEATS AND WITHIN 2 MINUTES DIES CAUSING $2000 WORTH OF DAMAGE. IM TOLD THESE ARE COMMON AND IM LUCKY IT DIDN'T CATCH ON FIRE. WHAT'S NEXT. FYI, THE LIGHTS STILL DON'T WORK WHICH CAUSES A SAFETY HAZARD. WHY IS THIS CAR NOT RECALLED??
CAR HESITATES WHILE ATTEMPTING TO CHANGE GEARS. A MESSAGE COMES UP SAYING TRANSMISSION MALFUNCTION AND THE OTHER MESSAGE SAYS NEEDS SERVICE NOW. ANOTHER PROBLEM APPEARS AS YOU APPLY THE BRAKES IT TENDS TO SPEED UP BEFORE COMING TO A STOP.
TAKATA RECALL FOR MY 2012 FORD FIESTA SE. THERE IS A HESITATION/JUMPING MOTION WHEN ACCELERATING. I WAS TOLD IT HAS TO DO WITH TRANSMISSION IN THESE CARS.
LEFT PASSENGER DOOR LATCH POPPED OPEN WHILE PULLING OUT OF A PARKING SPACE, TOOK TO DEALER AND THEY REPLACED ALL THE RECALL DOOR LATCHES. A YEAR LATER THE RIGHT BACK PASSENGER DOOR LATCH DID THE SAME THING. IT WAS COVERED BY THE WARRANTY THAT WAS ABOUT TO EXPIRE. TWO DAYS AGO, THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR HAS POPPED. IT IS NOT COVERED BY THE WARRANTY, SO IT IS AN UNEXPECTED OUT OF POCKET EXPENSE COMBINED WITH A RENTAL WHILE MY CAR IS IN THE SHOP. SO NOW, THREE OUT OF FOUR REPLACED RECALL PARTS HAVE MALFUNCTIONED. SO IF THE RECALL REPLACEMENTS ARE NOT WORKING, HOW OFTEN AM I GOING TO BE IN THE SHOP WITH UNRELIABLE RECALL REPLACEMENTS?
WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED I ATTEMPTED TO CLOSE THE RIGHT REAR DOOR AND THE DOOR DIDN'T LATCH/CLOSE. TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER (FAJARDO FORD, PUERTO RICO) AND I WAS INFORMED THAT THE VIN NUMBER WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE SAFETY RECALL. DEALER DIDN'T REPAIR THE DOOR. I ATTEMPTED CONTACTING FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE ON TWO OCCASIONS BUT HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY RESPONSE FROM THEM.
THE TRANSMISSION IN THIS CAR DOES NOT ENGAGE PROPERLY AT TIMES CAUSING IT TO NOT ACCELERATE AS EXPECTED. THIS SOMETIMES FEELS LIKE THERE ISN'T ENOUGH POWER AVAILABLE TO ACCELERATE AND OTHER TIMES IT SHUDDERS AND SHAKES UNTIL IT SHIFTS FROM FIRST GEAR TO SECOND. WE SUBMITTED THE CAR FOR THE TRANSMISSION COMPUTER REPROGRAMMING TSB WHEN IT BECAME AVAILABLE. IT SEEMED TO IMPROVE ITS OPERATION. OUR SON DRIVES THIS CAR TO COMMUTE TO COLLEGE AND IT WORRIES US TERRIBLY. I KNOW TWO OTHER PEOPLE THAT OWN CARS WITH THE SAME TRANSMISSION AND OURS IS NOT AS BAD, BUT STILL UNPREDICTABLE AND DANGEROUS WHEN DRIVING IN DENSE TRAFFIC. THE VEHICLE HAS APPROXIMATELY 105,000 CAREFULLY MAINTAINED MILES. AT 100,500 MILES THE TRANSMISSION GOT WORSE. FORD WAS CALLED AND THEY REFUSED TO CONSIDER REPAIRING IT UNDER THE EXTENDED WARRANTY OFFERED ON THIS TRANSMISSION (7 YEARS/100,000 MILES) BECAUSE IT WAS JUST OUTSIDE OF THE PERMITTED MILEAGE. FROM WHAT WE HAVE READ, IT DOESN'T SOUND LIKE THE 'REPAIR' IS WORTH DOING SINCE THE PROBLEMS QUICKLY RETURN. WE CAN'T SELL THE CAR IN THIS CONDITION WITHOUT TAKING A MAJOR LOSS. IT'S A BAD SITUATION.
THE TRANSMISSION SHUDDERS AND HESITATES ALL THE TIME. IT IS A SAFETY ISSUES DUE TO WHEN ACCELERATING TO MOVE INTO TRAFFIC IT SHUDDERS AND HESITATES AND WON'T ACCELERATE WHILE DOING THIS. I WAS ALMOST HIT SEVERAL TIMES DUE TO THIS ISSUE. THE ISSUE HAS HAPPENED IN THE LAST 2 YEARS WHILE THE ENGINE DIED IN TRAFFIC BUT I OVERLOOKED IT WORRYING ABOUT PAYING MONEY TO HAVE IT FIXED. 2 DAYS AGO, THE CAR COULDN'T REVERSE AND THE NEXT DAY, IT COMPLETE DIED ON ME.

MONTHS LATER, THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR OPENED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS BEING DRIVEN ON A HIGHWAY. THE CONTACT PULLED OVER TO CLOSE THE REAR DOOR. BOB TOMES FORD (950 S CENTRAL EXPY, MCKINNEY, TX 75071, 1-888-485-3971) REPLACED THE PART, BUT IT FAILED A THIRD TIME. THE CONTACT FELT THAT THE SAME OEM PART WAS THE SOURCE OF THE FAILURES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED THAT THE RECALL REMEDY FAILED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

WHILE DRIVING MY 2012 FORD FIESTA, WITH MY CHILD IN THE FRONT SEAT, THE DOOR LATCH FAILED AND THE DOOR SWUNG OPEN. I TRIED CLOSING IT, BUT IT WOULD NOT STAY LATCHED. I HAD TO DRIVE THE REST OF THE WAY HOLDING IT SHUT AND STEERING THE CAR, LUCKILY I WAS ONLY A COUPLE MILES FROM HOME. I CALLED MY FORD DEALER AND THEN I CALLED FORDS RECALL DEPARTMENT BECAUSE I WAS TOLD THE CURRENT RECALL 15S16, NHTSA CAMPAIGN: 15V246000, DOES NOT COVER MY VIN, EVEN THOUGH MY VEHICLE WAS BUILT IN THAT FACTORY DURING THE COVERED TIME PERIOD.
I HAVE PERFORMED ROUTINE MAINTENANCE ON MY CAR FOR YEARS. THE OTHER DAY THE HEADLIGHTS STOPPED WORKING SUDDENLY AND WITHOUT WARNING. THE ISSUE ENDED UP BEING IN THE FUSE BOX UNDER THE HOOD, WHICH IS ALLOWING SALT AND SAND TO ENTER THE FUSE BOX WITHOUT ANY FILTRATION SYSTEM OF ANY SORT. THE LOW BEAM RELAY HAD COMPLETELY CORRODED BECAUSE OF PARTICLES GETTING INTO THE FUSE BOX. WE ARE LUCKY IT IS JUST THE LIGHTS SO FAR, BUT UNFORTUNATELY ONE OF THE PRONGS FOR THE RELAY WAS SO CORRODED THAT IT BROKE OFF INSIDE THE PLUG. NOW, BECAUSE OF FORD'S POOR DESIGN OF THIS DEVICE, WE HAVE TO REPLACE THE WHOLE FUSE BOX AND EVERYTHING TO WHICH IT IS ATTACHED. THIS IS AT LEAST A $1300 JOB. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A DIFFERENT RELAY THAT CONTROLS A MORE ESSENTIAL FUNCTION OF THE CAR BUT THANK GOODNESS WE FOUND IT WHEN IT WAS AFFECTING THE HEADLIGHTS ONLY.
