TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FIESTA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD LOSE POWER WHEN DRIVING UPHILL. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE RESPONDED POORLY WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES FOR THE FAILURE. THE DEALER RE-CALIBRATED THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE, THE POSITION CONTROL MODULE, AND RESET THE COMPUTER HOWEVER, THE FAILURE WAS NOT CORRECTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 5,745.
WE PURCHASED 2013 FORD FIESTA IN NOVEMBER 2012. SINCE THEN WE HAVE EXPERIENCED GRINDING NOISE FROM LEFT SIDE OF VEHICLE, PLUS BURNING SMELL. MOST NOTICEABLY AT CITY SPEEDS AND FROM TAKEOFFS. THOUGHT MAYBE IT WAS SNOW TIRE ISSUE BUT WHEN WE TOOK IN FOR FIRST SERVICE, FORD SERVICE RECOGNIZED THE WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION, BUT GAVE NO EXPLANATION OR FIX. WE WERE TOLD THAT FORD KNOWS THERE IS AN ISSUE BUT HAVE BEEN KEPT IN THE DARK SINCE, NO FOLLOWUP AT ALL. THEY ADDED 'YOU DO HAVE ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE' AS A RESPONSE. ARE WE TO WAIT FOR THE VEHICLE TO COMPLETELY FAIL OR GET IN AN ACCIDENT BEFORE THEY DO SOMETHING. *TR
2013 FORD FIESTA BOUGHT 11/23/12. PROBLEMS WITHIN 4 DAYS; IT'S DEFINITELY A DEATH TRAP. TO REPAIR SHOP 11/27/12, 11/30/12, 12/12/12 & 03/27/13 FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS. INITIALLY STARTED HEARING A BUZZING FROM RIGHT SIDE OF MOTOR & SMELLING SOMETHING HOT LIKE RUBBER BURNING. THE ORIGINAL PROBLEMS WERE JOINED WITH A GRINDING NOISE FROM THE TRANSMISSION AREA ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE CAR (LOUDEST BETWEEN 32 & 42 MPH), IT BEGAN TO HESITATE, SHUTTER, STALL, LURCH, NOT MOVE FORWARD UNTIL HIGH RPMS REACHED & THEN IT SUDDENLY LUNGED FORWARD. DIFFICULTY PULLING STEEP HILLS/DRIVEWAYS & DOESN'T REVERSE AT TIMES. WE'VE NEARLY BEEN REAR-ENDED & BROADSIDED ON MORE THAN ONCE; I ALMOST REAR-ENDED SOMEONE ELSE. CRUISE CONTROL PROBLEM ON INTERSTATE COULD HAVE GOTTEN MY FAMILY KILLED; TAPPED BRAKES TO DISENGAGE CRUISE CONTROL AS I WAS BEING PASSED ON ONE SIDE & WAS APPROACHING A SLOW MOVING VEHICLE. I PULLED TO THE LEFT LANE & PROCEEDED PAST THE SLOWER VEHICLE BUILDING MY SPEED BACK UP TO 70; I PUSHED THE RESUME BUTTON & SUDDENLY THE CAR'S SPEED DROPPED DRASTICALLY & THEN JUMPED BACK UP CAUSING THE RPMS TO REV VERY HIGH BEFORE RETURNING TO NORMAL. THANKFULLY NO ONE WAS BEHIND ME; IF IT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IN THE OTHER LANE WE WOULD HAVE BEEN HIT BY A SEMI-TRUCK. THE CAR CONTINUES TO DEVELOP MORE PROBLEMS EACH DAY. IN APRIL 2013, THE CAR WAS PARKED ON A LEVEL STORE LOT. MY SON HAD JUST ENTERED THE CAR & I WAS GETTING IN THE DRIVER'S SIDE. I HAD JUST GOT MY BUTT ON THE SEAT & MY RIGHT LEG IN THE CAR WHEN I HEAR A CLICKING NOISE, THEN THE CAR STARTED TO ROLL FORWARD; I IMMEDIATELY JERKED MY LEFT LEG IN & INSTINCTIVELY PRESSED THE BRAKE & REACHED FOR THE GEAR SHIFT THINKING I FORGOT IT IN GEAR BUT TO MY SURPRISE IT WAS IN PARK. NOW I ALWAYS PULL THE EMERGENCY BRAKE & AT HOME FOR ADDED SAFETY I PUT A BLOCK IN FRONT OF THE TIRE ALSO. *TR
THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING PROBLEM WITH THE VEHICLE. I PURCHASED CAR ON NOVEMBER 10, 2012, AND ON NOVEMBER 13 HEARD A NOISE IN ENGINE. THE CAR WOULD JERK AND SURGE ON TAKE OFF. I RETURNED CAR TO DEALER WHO COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH CAR. THE NOISE BECAME LOUDER, CAR BEGAN TO SHUDDER AND SURGE MORE OFTEN DURING TAKE OFF, AND STICK IN REVERSE. I RETURNED CAR TO DEALER ON JANUARY 8, 2013, BUT THE COULDN'T FIND PROBLEM. OVER THE NEXT FEW MONTHS THE NOISE BECAME LOUDER, CAR SHUDDERED AND SURGED, AND BEGAN STICKING IN DRIVE. I RETURNED TO DEALER AGAIN ON MAY 29, 2014, AND DEALER TOLD ME ABOUT TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS WITH FORD FIESTAS. I PICKED CAR UP ON JUNE 5, 2015 AND DROVE SHORT DISTANCE AND ALL POWER TO TRANSMISSION WENT OUT. IT EVENTUALLY 'CAME BACK' AND I WAS ABLE TO RETURN TO DEALERSHIP. THE PROBLEM WAS WORSE THAN WHEN I TOOK IT TO DEALER IN THE BEGINNING. THIS WAS A VERY SCARY SITUATION BECAUSE I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC. I HAVE HAD ONGOING PROBLEMS SINCE I PURCHASED CAR. IT HAD 3 MILES ON IT THE DATE OF PURCHASE. I FINANCED 21,049 TO GET CAR, AND CANNOT AFFORD TO TRADE CAR IN AND GO UPSIDE ON PAYMENTS. THE CAR IS A LEMON! I HAVE SPOKEN WITH FORD 3 TIMES ABOUT THE MATTER. I AM SCARED TO RIDE IN THE CAR NOW. I NEED A CAR TO GO DO WORK DAILY. FORD SHOULD RECOGNIZE THIS PROBLEM AND REPLACE MY CAR WITH A 'BETTER' CAR. IT IS A SHAME THAT A LARGE CONGLOMERATE LIKE FORD CAN SELL A 'LEMON' AND A CONSUMER LIKE ME (SINGLE MOM) WITH LIMITED INCOME HAS TO 'TAKE IT." FORD SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE. I HAVE RESEARCHED THE PROBLEMS AND FOUND SUPPORTING EVIDENCE TO MY CASE. I HAVE CONTACTED THE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE IN MY STATE ABOUT THE MATTER, AND SPOKE WITH GENERAL MANAGER AT DEALERSHIP. FORD HAS OFFERED TO EXTEND MY BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY TO 75,000 MILES OR 5 YEARS (NOV. 2017) BUT I AM STILL SCARED TO RIDE IN THE CAR. IT'S DANGEROUS. *TR
I HAVE A RATTLING SOUND THAT SEEMS TO COME FROM THE TRANSMISSION WHEN I DRIVE BETWEEN 25 AND 50 MPH. I HAVE REPORTED THE ISSUE AND EVEN ESCALATED IT TO FORD REGIONAL CUSTOMER CARE. FORD HAS IDENTIFIED IT AS A KNOWN ISSUE, BUT THEY HAVE NOT DONE ANYTHING ABOUT IT. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FIESTA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE IN A LOW GEAR, THE VEHICLE ERRONEOUSLY ACCELERATED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE DRIVEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE REPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED ABOUT THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 211. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
AUTO TRANSMISSION SHUTTER..FROM A COMPLETE STOP THROUGH THE SHIFTING THE TRANSMISSION SHUTTERS. MY LOCAL FORD GARAGE SAYS THE CAR NEEDS TRANSMISSION PACKS,,HOWEVER DUE TO FORD S COMPUTER READING THE VEHICLE IS OPERATING AT A NORMAL RANGE, SO THE GARAGE CANNOT REPAIR. WE HAVE ALMOST BEEN INVOLVED 3 REAR END COLLISIONS BECAUSE OF THIS. FORD HAS NOT YET ISSUED A RECALL ON THIS MATTER EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE MANY FIESTAS WITH THIS PROBLEM,. *TR
I BOUGHT A 2013 FORD FIESTA IN OCTOBER OF 2012 AND I HAVE 13000 MILES ON IT AND TODAY 4-17-13 IS THE 3RD TIME I?VE DROPPED THE CAR OFF AT THE DEALER SHIP TO HAVE THE TRANSMISSION WORKED ON. THE FIRST TIME THE DEALERSHIP REBUILT THE TRANSMISSION, THE 2ND TIME THEY SAID THEY COULDN?T FIND ANYTHING AND I AM WAITING TO HEAR FROM THE SHOP TO SEE WHAT THEY SAY TODAY. MY TRANSMISSION HAS A GRINDING SOUND, WHEN I PUSH THE ACCELERATOR IT SOMETIMES DOESN?T ENGAGE AND DRIVE FORWARD UNTIL I LET MY FOOT OFF AND THEN REPRESS THE ACCELERATOR. WHEN SITTING IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC IT WILL LUNGE FORWARD. I AM NOT HAPPY WITH THE TIME I?VE SPENT OR HAVING TO DO THIS MANY TRIPS TO THE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE A BRAND NEW CAR FIXED. THEY NEED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS. HOW CAN THIS MANY PEOPLE BE UNHAPPY AND NOBODY DOES ANYTHING TO MAKE FORD RECALL THEIR TRANSMISSIONS. *TR
TRANSMISSION STARTED GRINDING WHILE TRYING TO ACCELERATE FROM SITTING IDLE. BRAKES LOCKED UP 3 DIFFERENT TIMES WHILE I HAD MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE. THE TRANSMISSION REVS VERY HIGH WITH ANY STREET THAT IS NOT COMPLETELY FLAT. WHEN I SIT AT A STOP LIGHT IT WILL ROLL BACKWARD WHEN I TRY TO GO. IT IS AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. *TR
THIS CAR SHUDDERS AND SHAKES BETWEEN 1ST AND THIRD AS IT CHANGES GEAR MAY BE TPS OR TRANNY DEALER SAYS NOTHING FOUND FORD IS INVESTIGATING!!?? *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FIESTA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH UPHILL, THE BRAKE WAS DEPRESSED WHEN SUDDENLY THE VEHICLE ROLLED BACKWARD. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THREE AUTHORIZED DEALERS WHO ALL ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE MANUAL TRANSMISSION WAS OPERATING NORMALLY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
BOUGHT VEHICLE NEW IN JAN 2013. WAS QUIET AT THE TIME. HAS BECOME LOUDER AND SOUNDS LIKE SOMETHING RUBBING WHEN TURNING AND SOMETIMES WHILE DRIVING. CAR IS HESITATING AND STUTTERING TERRIBLE. HAVE ALMOST BEEN HIT MAKING TURNS WHEN IT BEGINS TO HESITATE AND THEN SPEEDS UP. DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THERE IS A LEAK AND I NEED NEW CLUTCH. THEY WON'T HAVE PARTS FOR 30 DAYS THOUGH. ARE THEY GOING TO PAY IF I GET IN ACCIDENT? *TR
THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING PROBLEM OVER THE PAST 12 MONTHS. THIS VEHICLE SHUDDERS AND GRINDS WHEN SHIFTING THROUGH 1ST TO 3RD GEARS. THE VEHICLE GRINDS SPORADICALLY WHILE MAINTAINING CONSTANT SPEED AT LOW SPEEDS AND HIGHWAY SPEEDS. AFTER COASTING, THE VEHICLE WILL GRIND AND SHUDDER DURING ACCELERATION. THE VEHICLE HAS FAILED TO SHIFT INTO GEAR ON THREE OCCASIONS, ONE OF THESE INCIDENTS NEARLY RESULTED IN AN ACCIDENT. MOST RECENTLY, THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN LOSING POWER, GRINDING, AND SHUDDERING FOR UP TO 5 SECONDS BEFORE THE GEAR FULLY ENGAGES WHEN TURNING OR CONDUCTING U TURNS, WHICH CAUSES OTHER MOTORISTS TO NEARLY REAR END MY VEHICLE DURING HEAVY TRAFFIC. FORD HAS REPROGRAMMED THE TRANSMISSION THREE TIMES, WITHOUT IMPROVEMENT, AND INFORMED ME EACH TIME THAT THEY CANNOT VERIFY A DEFICIENCY, AND HAS NOT HONORED WARRANTY REPLACEMENT. *TR
AFTER A LONG BATTLE WITH THE DEALERSHIP OVER A PREVIOUS DEATH TRAP[USED] THE OWNER AGREED TO RECTIFY THAT ISSUE WITH A BRAND NEW 2013 FORD FIESTA.THAT WAS A GREAT THOUGHT TILL THE FIRST ENGINE LIGHT COMING ON,THEY FOUND NO REASON EXCEPT THE GAS TANK HAS NO CAP.I WAS TOLD THIS IS DIRT AROUND THE SEAL AND IT WILL KEEP HAPPENING UNLESS I BUY MY OWN CAP. WELL IT WASN'T LONG AND MY CAR STARTED SPITTING MISSING HESITATING,ENGINE LIGHT COMES BACK ON I TAKE IT BACK IN THEY BELIEVE THERE IS A PINHOLE IN MY GAS LINE.THEY KEEP MY CAR FOR A WEEK THEY DID SUPPLY A LOANER NOT A FIESTA !!!! I TOLD THEM OF THE ISSUES BUT THEY FOUND NOTHING.NOW A COUPLE WEEKS AGO I TOOK IT BACK FOR THESE ISSUES I HAD POINTED OUT TO THEM PREVIOUSLY.I HAD THE SERVICE PERSON RIDE ALONG HE FELT AA OF THE ISSUES HEARD ALL OF THE SOUNDS THE GRINDING ,REVVING.I AM SO AFRAID IN THIS CAR GETTING ON AND OFF RAMPS IT DOESN'T PICK UP SPEED IT ALMOST SOUNDS LIKE THE GEARS ARE REVERSING.I CANNOT PASS ANYONE,I LIVE IN A HIGHLY TRAVELED AREA FOR TOURISTS WHO DON'T DRIVE THE SAME AS LOCALS ON SINGLE LANE ROADS.A BRAND NEW CAR ISNT SUPPOSE TO MAKE YOU FEEL THAT YOU WERE BETTER OFF NOT HAVING A CAR. FORD SHOULD BE ASHAMED ...YOU DONT TAKE SHORTCUTS OR RUSH A PRODUCT THAT CAN BADLY AFFECT HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE. I WANT OUT OF MY CONTRACT I OWE MORE THAN THIS CAR IS WORTH,I DO BLAME THE DEALER ALSO FOR CONTINUING TO SELL THIS DEATH TRAP. AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. CAR TOTAL. OTHER DRIVER PARK ALONG FREE WAY. PULLS OUT IN FORNT OF ON COMING CAR. FORD FIESTA AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. *TR
My car has 74,000 actual miles and the transmission is acting up kicking out of gear and loosing coummcation with the tcm and a sensor comes on about bad clutch pack
