LOW LAMP HEADLIGHTS ON BOTH SIDES WENT OUT AT THE SAME TIME, WHILE PARKED IN A PARKING LOT AT NIGHT. TOOK VEHICLE TO GET HEAD LAMPS REPLACED, HAD TO HAVE DIAGNOSTIC RUN AND FOUND THAT THE FUSE AND FUSE BOX WERE CORRODED TO THE POINT OF NEEDING REPLACED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FIESTA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR DRIVER DOOR FAILED TO CLOSE. THE CONTACT HAD A BUNGEE CORD ATTACHED TO THE DOOR TO KEEP IT SHUT. ALSO, THE DOOR AJAR WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SPRINGFIELD FORD LINCOLN (50 BALTIMORE PIKE, SPRINGFIELD, PA 19064, (610) 544-0700), BUT WAS DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: CAS-[XXX AND XXX], BUT DID NOT ASSIST. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS SIMILAR TO THE FAILURE LISTED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V246000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES). RECEIVED A COSTUMER SERVICE LETTER (15B22/19N07) STATING ISSUE WITH TRANSMISSION TCM AND TO BRING CAR INTO DEALER FOR EVALUATION/FIX. ONCE CAR WAS BROUGHT INTO DEALERSHIP WAS TOLD WE NEEDED TO PAY $200 FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST OF THE CAR TO SEE IF IT IS ELIGIBLE FOR THE RECALL. WE HAVE HAD SEVERAL ISSUES WITH THE TRANSMISSION IN THIS VEHICLE SUCH AS SKIPPING GEARS, LOSS OF POWER AND THE CAR EVEN STALLING OUT. IF THIS IS A RECALL ISSUE DUE TO DEFECTIVE TRANSMISSION I FEEL I AS A CONSUMER SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY A DIME TO FIX THEIR PROBLEM. I AM AWARE OF A LARGE NEWS STORY THAT INVOLVED THIS PARTICULAR VEHICLE TRANSMISSION ISSUES RESULTING IN SEVERAL DEATHS DUE TO ACCIDENT CAUSED BY THIS PROBLEM.
STILL HAVING PROBLEMS SHAKING AND SHUDDERING. LACK OF POWER WHEN ACCELERATING ON THE FREEWAY.
MY VEHICLE KEEP LEAKING BRAKE FLUID. THEN SLOWLY BUT SURELY, I WASN'T ABLE TO SHIFT INTO 3RD GEAR. THE CAR WOULD "SHUDDER" IN NEUTRAL AND STARTED RUNNING LOUD. FINALLY, I THINK BECAUSE OF THE BRAKE FLUID LEAK DESPITE ME CONTINUOUSLY ADDING FLUID, THE CAR WOULDN'T SHIFT INTO GEAR. I HAD ASKED AROUND AND WAS TOLD MY GEARBOX NEEDED TO BE OILED AND HAVE THE OIL CHANGED, GEAR SHIFT NEEDED REPAIR OR THE INPUT OR OUTPUT FOR THE FRONT END NEEDED REPAIRING.
LOCKS FLEW OPEN AGAIN WHEN I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY. THIS TIME THE LOCK ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. THE DOOR OPENED SUDDENLY AS I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. A FEW MONTHS AGO, THE DRIVER'S SIDE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. I TOOK IT TO FORD AND THEY REFUSED TO REPAIR IT BECAUSE THEY SAID THERE IS NO RECALL FOR THIS CAR. I REPORTED IT BUT IT SEEMS THERE WAS NO FEEDBACK FROM THIS WEBSITE EITHER. NOBODY CALLED OR EMAILED.
WHILE DRIVING ON A CITY STREET OR OTHERWISE, MY CAR'S ENGINE MALFUNCTION LIGHT WILL COME ON. THE CAR WILL SUDDENLY JERK AND SLOW DOWN. NO MATTER HOW HARD I PRESS ON THE GAS PEDAL, IT WILL NOT GO OVER 30MPH. I HAVE ALMOST BEEN SLAMMED INTO SEVERAL TIMES DUE TO THE SUDDEN LOSS OF SPEED. I'VE TAKEN IT IN TWICE AND HAD THE GAS PEDAL REPLACED AS THE COMPUTER PICKS UP A PROBLEM BETWEEN THE CHIP AND THE COMPUTER. AND BOTH TIMES THE NEW PART HAS FAILED. I'VE LOOKED INTO THIS AND IT SEEMS TO BE A REOCCURRING PROBLEM ACROSS THE BOARD, AND A DANGEROUS ONE CONSIDERING FORD IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM

ALSO, THE RPMS ERRONEOUSLY REVVED HIGH. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURES WAS NOT DETERMINED. RED HILL FORD (602 MAIN ST, RED HILL, PA) AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: CAS-24520897. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 42,000.
AIR BAG LIGHT ON CONTINUOUSLY
WHEN BACKING OUT OF DRIVEWAY PASSENGER DOOR OPENED AS IT HAD NOT LATCHED. MECHANISM APPARENTLY BROKE FOR NO REASON AND DOOR WILL NOT LATCH.
THE PASSENGER DOOR LATCH ON MY 2013 FORD FIESTA SUDDENLY STOPPED WORKING. THE FORD GARAGE SAID IT WOULD BE $306.83 + TAX TO HAVE THE PART REPLACED. THE CURRENTLY BROKEN PART REPLACED A RECALLED DOOR LATCH IN 2016, BUT APPARENTLY ONLY HAD A 2 YEAR WARRANTY. THE DOOR LATCH BROKE FOR THE SAME REASON AS THE 2015-2016 RECALL, BUT THERE IS NO CURRENTLY SAFETY RECALL ON THIS PART. I SHUT THE DOOR AND THOUGHT IT WAS CLOSED. AFTER DRIVING 4 MILES, I OPENED THE DOOR AND IT WOULD NOT CLOSE/LATCH PROPERLY. THE VEHICLE WAS BACKING UP WHEN THE ALERT DINGED ON THE DASH SAYING THE PASSENGER DOOR WAS OPEN. THE ALERT DID NOT SOUND WHEN THE CAR WAS STARTED, WHICH CONCERNS ME THAT THE WIND CAUGHT THE OPENING OF THE DOOR WHILE GOING IN REVERSE. I AM CONCERNED THAT THE REPLACEMENT PART IS JUST AS FAULTY AS THE RECALLED DOOR LATCH.
I HAVE OWNED MY CAR SINCE 2017 AND I WAS THE 5TH OWNER BY 43K MILES DUE TO THE ISSUES THIS CAR HAS HAD. ITS NOW WORKING ON ITS 4TH CLUTCH REPLACEMENT SINCE 43K MILES AND IT ONLY HAS 99400K MILES ON IT . IT NOW HAS A DISTINCT WHINE FROM THE TRANSMISSION AND FORD JUST CONTINUES TO KICK ME OUT THE DOOR LIKE NOTHINGS WRONG . THEY WANT TO CHARGE ME LEFT AND RIGHT FOR SOMETHING THAT ISNT MY ISSUE . I ALSO HAVE INCLUDED THE WARRANTY REPAIR HISTORY ON THE VEHICLE

IT WAS UNKNOWN IF ANY WARNING INDICATORS WERE ILLUMINATED BESIDES THE AIR BAG INDICATOR, WHICH WAS ALREADY ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO FORD OF ORANGE (1350 W. KATELLA AVENUE, ORANGE, CA 92867, 888-697-3989) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS DAMAGED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 99,000.
THE TRANSMISSION FEELS LIKE IT IS SLIPPING. IT MAKES A GRINDING NOISE AS WELL
The contact owns a 2013 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated that the vehicle would surge while driving and the vehicle was making an abnormal clinking sound. Additionally, the contact stated while driving 35 MPH, the vehicle was surging significantly and started to decelerate independently. The "Transmission Malfunction. Service Now" message was displayed. The contact released the accelerator pedal and depressed the brake pedal. The contact then slowly depressed the accelerator pedal and the vehicle responded. The contact was able to continue driving at slower speeds. The dealer was contacted and informed the contact that they did not have an early availability for diagnostic test. The vehicle was taken to a transmission specialist where it was diagnosed that the Transmission Control Module needed to be replaced; however, the part was not available. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 35,200.
THE WRENCH WARNING LIGHT WITH "ENGINE MALFUNCTION SERVICE NOW" MESSAGE APPEARING ON THE DASH. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES WITH THIS VEHICLE. IT WILL SPORADICALLY COME ON AND GO OFF. IT APPEARS THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE AFTER READING VARIOUS COMPLAINTS OF THE SAME THING FOR THIS MAKE/MODEL OF VEHICLE, BUT YET NO RECALL HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED, ONLY TSB'S. THERE ARE PENDING LAWSUITS AS WELL - FOR THIS EXACT ISSUE. THE DEALERSHIP WANTS TO CHARGE ME A DIAGNOSTIC FEE FOR A KNOWN ISSUE AT $350+ THIS NEEDS TO BE CONVERTED TO A RECALL. THE VEHICLE IS UNSTABLE, AND UNSAFE. IF FORD WON'T FIX THIS, I WILL BE FORCED TO FIND AN ATTORNEY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FIESTA. WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE AT NIGHT, THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS WOULD NOT ILLUMINATE. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. ROUSH FORD (5575 KEIN CIRCLE, COLUMBUS, OH) AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
WHILE ACCELERATING AFTER A STOP LIGHT, THE TRANSMISSION STUTTERS VIOLENTLY BEFORE 'KICKING INTO GEAR' AND ACCELERATING LIKE EXPECTED. IT'S EVERYDAY.
I HAD TO HAVE THE TRANSMISSION REPLACED AFTER OWNING THE CAR A FEW MONTHS. AT ONLY 30K MILES. THANK GOD IT WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. HOWEVER, SINCE THEN, THE CAR HAS CONTINUED TO MALFUNCTION. I HAVE NOT TAKEN IT INTO A DEALER SINCE BECAUSE OF THE OTHER COMMENTS AND COMPLAINTS I HAVE SEEN REGARDING THIS CAR. THE CAR CONTINUES TO JERK FORWARD WHEN MOVING FROM A STOP. THE CAR CONSTANTLY SHUDDERS WHEN DRIVING. THE CAR HESITATES WHEN ACCELERATING. I EVEN HAD TO PULL THE FUSE OUT FOR THE RADIO BECAUSE THE SPEAKERS WOULD CONSTANTLY POP, EVEN WITH THE RADIO OFF. I TRULY BELIEVE THERE IS AN ISSUE EVEN WITH NEW TRANSMISSIONS IN THIS CAR. IF THE TRANSMISSION IS REPLACED, THE SAME PROBLEMS SHOULD NOT CONTINUE. I DO NOT HAVE THE TIME NOR THE MONEY TO KEEP FIXING SOMETHING THAT IS NOT FIXABLE. I WILL CONTINUE TO DRIVE A CAR THAT I FEEL UNSAFE IN UNTIL I CANNOT ANYMORE. ANY HELP IN THIS MATTER WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. ON THE "WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN" FIELD, I PUT TODAY'S DATE BECAUSE IT HAPPENS EVERY DAY.
MANY DANGEROUS INSTANCES WHEN THE CAR WOULDN'T ACCELERATE, JERKS, LURCHES WHEN "ACCELERATING". HAD THE CAR IN FOR "REPAIRS" WELL OVER 10 TIMES AND IT IS NOT FIXED. I CANNOT AFFORD ANOTHER CAR AND THESE PROBLEMS HAVE BEEN GOING ON FOR YEARS. SHOULDN'T HAVE TO FEEL LIKE MY LIFE IS AT RISK EVERY TIME I AM DRIVING TO AND FROM WORK.. I HAVE TO MAKE DECISIONS WHEN DRIVING WITH THE CONSIDERATION THAT THE CAR MAY NOT ACCELERATE DUE TO KNOW TRANSMISSION ISSUES. MANY TIMES ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN IN A DANGEROUS SITUATION I COULD NOT ACCELERATE TO GET OUT OF THE SITUATION. LUCKY I HAVEN'T BEEN INJURED DUE TO THESE KNOWN FAULTY TRANSMISSIONS THAT EXECUTIVES AT FORD RELEASED ANYWAY. . WHEN TURNING, 99% OF THE TIME THERE IS NO ACCELERATION WHATSOEVER UNTIL THE CAR STRAIGHTENS OUT. LURCHING, LUNGING UNCONTROLLABLLY AND CONSTANTLY. VERY DANGEROUS WHEN PUTTING THE FOOT ON THE ACCELERATOR AND ALL THAT HAPPENS IS THE CAR REVS UP. LURCHING, LUNGING, BUMPING, GRINDING. FORDS EXPLANATION IS THAT IT IS A HYBRID AUTO/MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND PEOPLE THAT OWN THIS TYPE OF TRANSMISSION ARE NOT USED TO IT. NO. I HAVE OWNED MANY MANUAL TRANSMISSIONS. THE DESIGN IS FAULTY AND THEY SHOULD BE TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR PUTTING PROFITS OVER THE SAFETY OF THEIR CUSTOMERS.
SECOND DOOR LATCH BROKE IN LESS THAN TWO WEEKS APART FROM THE LAST DOOR LATCH FAILURE. SUBMITTED COMPLAINT NUMBER 11222994, ABOUT REAR PASSENGER DOOR LATCH FAILURE. TOOK THAT IN TO BE FIXED JULY 3RD. NOW MY FRONT PASSENGER DOOR IS BROKEN. HAVEN'T SEEN AN INVESTIGATION STARTED AND HAVE NOT BEEN REACHED TO ABOUT MY PREVIOUS COMPLAINT. I AM NOW WORRIED ABOUT MY CHILD AND AM SCARED EVERY TIME I PUT HER IN THE BACK SEAT I'M WONDERING WHEN WILL THIS DOOR BREAK? WHEN WILL FORD START AN INVESTIGATION AND GET THIS FIXED? PUT OUT ANOTHER RECALL! AND WHEN I CALL THE DEALERSHIP TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR THEM TO FIX MY VEHICLE THEY SAY THEY DON'T HAVE AN APPOINTMENT TIL THE BEGINNING OF AUGUST. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND NEEDS TO BE RESOLVED ASAP! I DON'T WANT TO WAIT THREE WEEKS FOR SOMETHING THAT SHOULD BE FIXED ASAP!
STARTED THE CAR ON ONE HOT AND HUMID DAY AND, WHILE WAITING FOR MY WIFE AND AUNT AT A DRIVEWAY AND WITHOUT TOUCHING THE GEAR SHIFTER, I SAW THE GEAR DISPLAY MOMENTARILY JUMPED FROM PARK TO NEUTRAL AND THEN BACK TO PARK ON THE DISPLAY PANEL. IT HAPPENED A FEW TIMES AND I THOUGHT THAT WAS ODD. THE CAR HAD ALREADY UNDERGONE THREE TRANSMISSION OVERHAULS BEFORE THE EXTENDED WARRANTY ENDED SO I WAS FAMILIAR WITH THE TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS THAT PLAGUED THE CAR, FROM GRINDING GEARS TO SHUDDERING AND SLOW SHIFTING IN LOW SPEED OR AT AN INCLINE, ALL I HAD EXPERIENCED BEFORE. BUT THE SLIPPING GEAR WAS NEW. I DIDN'T THINK MUCH ABOUT IT AT FIRST AND DROVE OFF WHEN MY WIFE AND AUNT GOT ON. AT THE SECOND STOP SIGN, THE GEAR SLIPPED MOMENT AFTER I ACCELERATED FOLLOWING THE STOP. THERE WAS NO WARNING AT ALL ' NO ABNORMAL SOUND, NO WARNING MESSAGE, NO ENGINE LIGHT ON OR BLINKING. THE ENGINE REVVED UP AND THERE WAS NO MORE POWER TO THE WHEELS. ONLY THEN DID I NOTICE THE GEAR DISPLAY SHOWED THE CAR WAS IN NEUTRAL, BUT THE GEAR SHIFTER WAS STILL IN DRIVE. FORTUNATELY, THERE WERE NO OTHER CARS AROUND US. I IMMEDIATELY TRIED MOVING THE GEAR SHIFTER BUT IT WAS STUCK IN DRIVE WHILE THE GEAR WAS IN NEUTRAL. I STOPPED THE CAR AND TRIED AGAIN, TO NO AVAIL. I THEN TURNED OFF THE CAR AND WAS ABLE TO MOVE THE SHIFTER INTO PARK. I TURNED THE CAR BACK ON AND WAS ABLE TO MOVE THE SHIFTER INTO DRIVE, AND THE GEAR COOPERATED. I TURNED AROUND AND GOT BACK TO HOME SAFELY. I HAD COPED WITH ALL OF THE EARLIER TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS WITH THIS CAR, THE TROUBLE OF GOING TO THE DEALERSHIP REPEATEDLY, AND EVEN ADJUSTED MY DRIVING HABIT WITH THE UNIQUE TEMPERAMENT OF THIS CAR. HOWEVER, WITH THE GEAR SLIPPING FROM DRIVE WITHOUT ANY FOREWARNING, I DID NOT FEEL SAFE TO DRIVE THIS CAR ANYMORE. WE THOUGHT ABOUT WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF THE GEAR HAD SLIPPED WHILE WE WERE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY.
DELAY IN ACCELERATING ESPECIALLY AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. I CAN'T EVEN ATTEMPT TO PASS ON TWO-LANE ROADS BECAUSE I CAN'T TRUST THE CAR TO ACCELERATE. IN CRUISE CONTROL, SOMETIMES IT WON'T DECELERATE (ALTHOUGH IT RESPONDS TO BRAKING). THE TRANSMISSION IS NOW DEAD AND MUST BE REPLACED DESPITE THE CAR HAVING ONLY ~85K MILES. IT WAS SERVICED BY FORD UNDER THE POWER TRAIN RECALL A COUPLE YEARS AGO. I DON'T EXPECT ACTION ON THIS. I'M JUST FRUSTRATED TO HAVE TO SPEND $2K ON A 2013 CAR. I REFUSE TO LET FORD WORK ON MY CAR BECAUSE THEY HAVE NEVER FIXED IT. I TRUST MY MECHANIC MORE.
THE CAR HAS DIFFICULTY SHIFTING GEARS AND HAS TROUBLE ACCELERATING PROPERLY
THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS UNEVENLY IN LOWER GEARS AND CAUSES THE CAR TO SHUDDER WITH SLOWED ACCELERATION, THIS HAPPENS EVERY USE. SOMETIMES, THE CAR WILL NOT ACCELERATE AND IT SLIPS INTO NEUTRAL WHILE DRIVING, UPON PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL THE ENGINE REVS BUT THE CAR WILL NOT MOVE. THIS CAN HAPPEN AT ANYTIME WITHOUT WARNING. THE ONLY WAY TO CORRECT THIS IS TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND RESTART THE ENGINE. I BROUGHT THIS TO THE ATTENTION OF A LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP, THEY PERFORMED MAINTENANCE TO THE TRANSMISSION, BUT THIS DID NOT REMEDY THE PROBLEM.
DPS6 TRANSMISSION SLIPPING INTO NEUTRAL & NOT GOING BACK INTO GEAR ON AT LEAST 4 OCCASIONS STARTING FROM WHEN I PURCHASED THE PRE-OWNED CAR, JANUARY 2019. TOTAL LOSS OF POWER, HAD TO COAST TO SIDE OF ROAD.
DRIVER SIDE DOOR LATCH WILL NOT CATCH AND FLIES OPEN. LUCKILY WHEN THE LATCH MALFUNCTIONED I WAS IN A PARKING LOT AND NOT DRIVING. I LEFT MY CAR IN MY WORK PARKING LOT IN THE AM AND CAME OUT OF WORK IN THE PM TO REALIZE THAT MY CAR DOOR DID NOT LATCH WHEN I SHUT IT AND NO LONGER LATCHES. TOOK TO LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP (LANCE CUNNINGHAM FORD - KNOXVILLE TN) AND WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE 456.00 TO FIX. WHEN ASKED ABOUT THE RECALL FOR THE EXACT PROBLEM (SAFETY RECALL 15S16) I WAS TOLD THAT MY CAR DID NOT QUALIFY. THE CAR HAS 45,600 MILES ON IT.
REAR PASSENGER DOOR WON'T LATCH. WHEN CAR IS IN LOCKED MODE, YOU CAN OPEN THE DOOR WITHOUT PULLING THE DOOR HANDLE. WHEN IN MOTION DOOR WILL SWING OPEN.*DT CONSUMER STATED BOTH LATCHES WERE REPLACED, REAR PASSENGER AS WELL AS THE PASSENGER DOOR LATCH. VIN IS INVALID.*JB

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BEACH FORD (2717 VIRGINIA BEACH BLVD, VIRGINIA BEACH, VA 23452) HOWEVER, A DIAGNOSTIC TEST WAS NOT PERFORMED. THE VEHICLE RECEIVED AN UNKNOWN REPAIR HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 100,000.
TAKATA RECALL - ON TUESDAY 25TH OF JUNE, THECAR STARTED SLOWING DOWN AND ACTING A LITTLE WEIRD. NO MATTER HOW MUCH I GAVE IT GAS IT WENT INTO TURTLE MODE AND CUT OFF. I TOOK THE CAR TO GWINNETT PLACE FORD 3 TIMES BUT THE 4TH TIME I TOOK THE CAR TO ANGELA KRAUS FORD TO GET OUT OF THE VEHICLE. MY CHILDREN HAVE BEEN IN THIS VEHICLE WITH THE DOOR LATCH FAILING. INSTEAD OF FORD GETTING ME OUT THAT VEHICLE AND REPLACING IT WITH ANOTHER WITH THE SAME VALUE THEY INSTEAD TREATED ME TWICE AS IF I WAS A REGULAR CUSTOMER TRADING IN THE CAR AND I WAS ASKED TO PUT MONEY DOWN FOR ANOTHER VEHICLE AND ADD A CO-SIGNER, WHICH I DON'T HAVE SO I WAS DENIED ANOTHER VEHICLE. I PURCHASED THE CAR FROM US AUTO SALES AND THEY TOO ALLOWED ME TO DRIVE AWAY FROM THE LOT WITH CORDS HOLDING MY DOOR TOGETHER BECAUSE THEY COULDN'T APPROVE ME FOR ANOTHER CAR. I AM THE OWNER OF A 2013 FORD FIESTA SE. I TAKE MY CAR FOR REGULAR MAINTENENCE. I REPLACED MY FRONT AND REAR BRAKES IN DECEMBER. A MONTH OR TWO AGO I FELT AN ANOMALY IN MY SUSPENSION AND BRAKES. THE CAR KEPT FEELING LIKE HAD A SHIMMY WHILE DRIVING. IT ALSO STARTED MAKING A WEIRD NOISE. I HAD MY VEHICLE VISUALLY INSPECTED AND NOTHING WAS NOTED. I FINALLY TOOK MY VEHICLE TO KENDRICKS BODY SHOP IN AIKEN, SC AND THEY TOLD ME THAT MY BRAKES HAD FAILED CAUSING THEM TO GO THROUGH THE REAR BACKING PLATE. I WAS ALSO INFORMED THAT MY VEHICLE NEEDED TO BE TOWED AND IT WAS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE.

THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FAILS TO ENGAGE WHEN SHIFTED INTO ANY GEAR. THE ENGINE REVS BUT THE TRANSMISSION DOESN'T GO INTO GEAR AND THE CAR WILL NO MOVE. SOMETIMES THE SHIFTER WILL NOT COME OUT OF "PARK". SOMETIMES THE CAR WILL NOT START. TURNING THE KEY FROM "OFF" TO "ON" MAY, OR MAY NOT, ALLOW THE CAR TO START AND THE GO INTO GEAR. THIS CAN HAPPENED AFTER BACKING OUT OF A PARKING SPOT, AND THEN SHIFTING INTO "D" (DRIVE). IT HAS ALSO HAPPENED WHEN STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT, AND THEN THE CAR WILL NOT MOVE.
THE HEADLIGHTS QUIT WORKING. I WAS OUT SHOPPING AND FINISHED AT JUST ABOUT SUNSET. I WENT TO TURN THE HEADLIGHTS ON BUT NO LIGHTS BUT ALL THE RUNNING LIGHTS WERE ON. I TURNED THE SWITCH ON AND OFF REPEATEDLY STILL NO HEADLIGHTS; TRIED THE HIGH BEAMS, THEY WORKED. I DROVE HOME WITH THE HIGH BEAMS ON AND WAS CONSTANTLY FLASHED BY ON COMING TRAFFIC. THE NEXT MORNING I CHECKED THE FUSES THEN THE RELAYS FOR LOW BEAM. FOUND THE PROBLEM - RELAY R11 HAD A BADLY CORRODED PRONG WHICH BROKE OFF IN THE BOX ITSELF. I CAN NOT PULL THE CORRODED PRONG OUT - NOR CAN I DRIVE A NIGHT UNTIL THE ENTIRE UNIT IS REPLACED. MY WIFE IS ON HOSPICE AND THIS COULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED AT A WORST TIME. AFTER RESEARCHING ONLINE, IT SEEMS THAT MINE IS NOT AN ISOLATED PROBLEM AT ALL, BUT NONE THE LESS IS VERY DANGEROUS.
TURN SIGNALS STOPPED WORKING, REPLACED BULBS WITH NO LUCK. CHECKED FUSES AND IT WAS BLOWN, REPLACED FUSE AND IT WORKED FOR ABOUT 45 MINUTES THEN BLEW THE FUSE AGAIN. EVERY TIME WE REPLACE THE FUSE IT BLOWS WITHIN AN HOUR. RADIO STOPPED WORKING AND WOULD MAKE VERY LOUD POPPING NOISE WHILE DRIVING. WE FINALLY HAD TO PULL THE FUSE FOR THE RADIO TO MAKE IT STOP. SO NOW THERE IS NO WORKING RADIO AS WE ARE AFRAID TO REPLACE THE FUSE. MY DAUGHTER DRIVES THIS LEMON DAILY AS IT IS HER ONLY TRANSPORTATION TO WORK. SHE STILL OWES MORE FOR THE CAR THAN SHE COULD GET IF SHE TRIED TO TRADE IT IN ON SOMETHING ELSE. THIS CAR NEEDS TO BE CLASSIFIED AS A LEMON AND TAKEN OFF THE ROADS. BACK IN MAY, I GOT A CAR FROM ABILENE USED CAR SALES THAT I AM CURRENTLY LEASING FROM. AFTER A FEW WEEKS, THE PASSENGER DOOR LOCK BEGAN TO MALFUNCTION, IT WOULD TAKE MULTIPLE SLAMS TO KEEP THE DOOR CLOSED. THESE CONDITIONS ARE A DAY TO DAY COMMON OCCURRENCE. SPEED OR THE LENGTH OF DISTANCE OR TIME IN USE DOES NOT CHANGE THE STATED CONDITIONS, SOUNDS, OR OCCURRENCES. IT HAS BECOME SCARY TO DRIVE, ESPECIALLY AFTER DRIVING AN HOUR OR MORE ON THE FREEWAY AND WHEN I EXIT THE FREEWAY, THE TRANSMISSION AND BRAKING CONDITIONS ARE SO MAGNIFIED THAT SLOWING AT THE END OF A RAMP TO STOP IS FORCEFUL. ON 4/8/2016, FORD DEALER IN KINGMAN, AZ CALLED ME TO INFORM ME THAT THEY HAD JUST RECEIVED THE NECESSARY PARTS TO CORRECT ALL THE TRANSMISSION AND OPERATING CHARACTERISTICS I WAS EXPERIENCING AND GAVE ME A 2 PAGE POWERSHIFT 6-SPEED TRANSMISSION OPERATING CHARACTERISTICS FORM DATED 9/27/2012 AND IT CONTAINED THE "COMMON SOUNDS A DRIVER MAY NOTICE" REGARDING: DOUBLE CLICKING METAL SOUNDS, COAST DOWN WHINE, CLICKING WHEN ENGINE TURNED OFF, LOW SPEED GRINDING.
