ELECTRICAL FUSE BLOCK INSIDE ENGINE COMPARTMENT IS RUSTED THROUGHOUT ENTIRE FUSE BLOCK. VEHICLE SPORADICALLY FAILS TO START, DRIVER SIDE HEAD LAMP DOES NOT WORK, AND AIR CONDITIONING IS BLOWING HOT AIR.
MY TCS GOES OFF WITHOUT ME SETTING THIS FEATURE AND THEN MY CAR ROLLS BACKWARDS EVEN WHEN IT'S IN THE DRIVE GEAR.
PURGE VALVE CAUSED FUEL TANK TO BE SUCKED IN 3/4 OF AN INCH. WHILE DRIVING I HAVE SURGING AND WHEN STOPPED THE IDLE IS ERRATIC AND BOUNCES BETWEEN 1000 TO 2000 RPM. CAUSES CODE P0300 TO COME AND GO AND ALSO P0497 TO COME AND GO. EXTREMELY HARD FOR DEALERSHIPS TO FIND THE PROBLEM. I HAVE VIDEO AND PICTURE PROOF OF ISSUE.
FORD FIESTA 2013 DOOR LACTH NOT WORKING. DOOR FLEW OPEN AS DRIVER WAS DRIVING DOWN A HIGHWAY. DRIVER HAD TO HOLD DOOR AND DRIVE TO SAFETY, THEN TIE THE DOOR WITH A STRING TO GO HOME. FORD TED BRITT CHANTILLY SERVICE MANAGER REFUSED TO FIX, AND FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE REFUSED TO FIX. THE RECALL NOTICE IS ON THE INTERNET RECALL NO. 15S16. NOTICE SAYS ALL SHOULD BE REPLACED, BUT FORD HAS REFUSED TO REPLACE, SAYING VIN NUMBER IS NOT INCLUDED
HEADLIGHTS QUIT WORKING. BROUGHT IT TO AUTO PARTS STORE. MANAGER STATED THAT RELAY FUSE FOR THE LOW BEAMS WAS FULLY CORRODED AND ONE OF THE PRONGS BROKE OFF IN THE FUSE BOX. HE SAID THE FUSE BOX LOOKS POORLY DESIGNED AND ALLOWS SAND AND WATER TO ENTER. PRONG STUCK IN FUSE BOX -- NOT SURE HOW MUCH IT WILL COST TO GET OUT - CAN'T REACH IT WITH A TWEEZERS OR ANYTHING ELSE. I LIVE IN THE MIDWEST WHERE THEY PUT SALT ON THE ROADS WHICH MAY BE THE ROOT OF THE PROBLEM. LOOKS LIKE THERE MAY BE A RECALL IN CANADA FOR THIS SAME ISSUE BUT NONE IN THE USA. INTERNET SEARCH SHOWS MANY PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE.
THE TRANSMISSION SLIPS OR SHUTTERS THEN IT LOOSES POWER WHILE DRIVING
SHIFTING FROM FIRST AND SECOND GEAR IS GETTING HARDER AND HARDER. TAKING OFF AND GOING TO SHIFT IS GETTING WHERE IT FEELS STUCK. IT HAPPENS A LOT WHEN I'M TAKING OFF.
DRIVER DOOR LATCH WON'T CLOSE AND LATCH. VEHICLE WAS PARKED. CALLED FORD DEALER WHO STATED MY VEHICLE DOES NOT HAVE A RECALL. RESEARCH INDICATES THERE'S A PROBLEM WITH MY VEHICLE YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL DOOR LATCHES. PLEASE HELP!
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FIESTA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED WITH THE GEAR SHIFTER IN THE PARK POSITION, THE WHEELS REMAINED SPINNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PRESTIGE FORD OF MOUNT DORA 17701 US-441, MT DORA, FL 32757, (352) 357-5522 TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AT A COST OF $2,000. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED BY THE DEALER AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT SUBJECTED TO A RECALL AND ALSO THAT THE VEHICLE WARRANTY WAS EXPIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 66,000.
The contact owns a 2013 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle made abnormal sounds and then lost motive power. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and diagnosed with transmission failure. The mechanic replaced the transmission; however, the failure recurred. Several unknown dealers were made aware of the failure but informed the contact that there was no recall associated with the VIN. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and two cases were opened. The manufacturer referred the contact to the Better Business Bureau and NHTSA for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 22,000.

I`VE HAD PROBLEM WITH THIS CAR SINCE PURCHASE CONCERNING THE TRANSMISSION
WHILE DRIVING THE POWER STEERING SUDDENLY FAILED MAKING STEERING EXTREMELY DIFFICULT NARROWLY AVOID ACCIDENT

THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE VEHICLE SHUDDERED AND JERKED WHILE SHIFTING INTO 1ST GEAR CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO STALL WITH SEVERAL UNKNOWN WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF, RESTARTED, AND RESUMED NORMAL OPERATION AFTER APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO METRO FORD (2860 S. NOLAND RD, INDEPENDENCE, MO 64055) HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DRIVABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE WARRANTY WAS EXPIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,211.
I HAVE HAD MY CAR FOR OVER 2 YEARS NOW AND IN THE TIME IT'S BEEN BUILT IT'S WORKING ON ITS SIXTH DPS6 CLUTCH REPLACEMENT ! AVERAGE FAILURE IS EVERY 20,000 MILES ! IT NOW HAS 96500 ON IT AND THE WARRANTY IS CLOSE TO EXPIRING AND FORD SHOWS NO INTEREST IN COVERAGE AFTER THE EXPIRATION OF SAID WARRANTY AT 100K MILES
The contact owns a 2013 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated while accelerating from a complete stop, the vehicle would jerk and would hesitate to respond. Additionally, the contact stated that the failure recurred while driving from a complete stop, and the vehicle stalled in the middle of the road. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that her husband depressed the accelerator pedal and was able to continue driving; however, the vehicle failed to exceed 20 MPH. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the TCM was replaced under Ford Campaign Number: 14M02. The contact stated that while driving from a complete stop, the vehicle was shuddering. The contact stated that the failure had been recurring while driving. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 2,500.
THE CAR RANDOMLY DOES NOT START THIS ALL BEGAN AFTER MY TRANSMISSION PROGRAMMING BEING UPDATED AND NOW MY PCM IS FAILING AND SOMETIMES THEY CAR EXCELLERATES AND THE ENGINE REVS HIGHER THAN NORMAL. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS THIS CAR HAS LEFT ME STRANDED. RANDOM CODES APPEAR AND DISAPPEAR. ONE TIME MY CAR TURNED OFF AND I LOST POWER STEERING.

I'M GETTING U3003, AND JUST DRIVING LESS THEN 40 MILES PER HOUR MY CAR JUST SHUTTER-AN LOSE POWER HAVE TO PULL OFF SIDE OF ROAD. THEN WOULD SIT AWHILE TRY TO RESTART IT GIVE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON. I ALMOST GOT HIT ON THE ROAD ON CITY STREET IN MOTION. HAD BUY ANOTHER CAR IT SIT IN PARKING LOT NOW.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FIESTA. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, BUT FAILED TO RELEASE WHEN THE CONTACT'S FOOT WAS REMOVED FROM THE BRAKE PEDAL AND SEIZED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO B.J. MAUER MOTOR COMPANY (LOCATED AT 327 ALWINE RD, BOSWELL, PA 15531, (800) 322-1924) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BRAKE HOSE AND BRAKE CALIPERS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 117,000. *TT CONSUMER STATED HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT, MASTER CYLINDER WAS REPLACED. ROTORS, CALIPERS AND HOSES CHANGED TO TROUBLE SHOOT. *JB
ON 9/20/18, WHILE STOPPED AT A BUSY INTERSECTION FOR A RED LIGHT, UPON ATTEMPTING TO MOVE FORWARD WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN THE CAR SIMPLY WOULD NOT MOVE. I PLACED THE CAR IN PARK, SHUT IT OFF TO RESTART THINKING IT WOULD RESET ITSELF SOMEHOW AND INSTEAD NOT ONLY WOULD IT NOT RESTART BUT THE GEAR SHIFT WOULD NOT MOVE OUT OF PARK SO THAT I COULD PUSH IT OUT OF THE TRAFFIC. I HAD TO CALL THE LOCAL POLICE TO WAIT IN THE ROAD WITH LIGHTS FLASHING AT THE INTERSECTION TO AVOID BEING REAR-ENDED AND UNTIL THE TOW TRUCK COULD ARRIVE. THE "ENGINE MALFUNCTION" LIGHT COMES ON SO OFTEN (WHICH USUALLY GETS A "REPROGRAMMING" AT THE DEALER) THAT IT HAS BECOME UNNOTICEABLE, BUT I DO NOT RECALL SEEING IT BEFORE BECOMING IMMOBILE. IT WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL FORD DEALER, WHERE THEY SAID IT WAS COVERED UNDER THE EXTENDED WARRANTY FORD ISSUED (TCM PART, I BELIEVE). THIS CAR HAS APPROXIMATELY 70,000 MILES ON IT BUT HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP FOR "WARRANTIED" REPAIRS INVOLVING REPROGRAMMING, THROTTLE, GAS PEDAL SENSOR, CLUTCHES, ETC. ON MANY MANY OCCASIONS. IN THE PAST, I HAVE TAKEN IT IN COMPLAINING ABOUT THE RETURNING LIGHT AND WHEN IT HAS SHUDDERED AND LOST POWER MOMENTARILY WHILE ATTEMPTING TO ENTER TRAFFIC ON THE INTERSTATE (ONCE EVEN AS A TRACTOR TRAILER APPROACHED). TRAFFIC HAS HAD TO SHIFT LANES TO AVOID HITTING MY CAR. IT HAS SHUDDERED IN INTERSECTIONS AND ONRAMPS BEFORE, BUT NEVER BECAME COMPLETELY IMMOBILE WITHOUT RECOVERY. IF THIS ISN'T A SAFETY ISSUE, I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS. I CANNOT EXPERIENCE THE FEAR AND HELPLESSNESS THAT OCCURRED LAST WEEK AGAIN, SO TWO DAYS LATER I WENT AND PURCHASED A NEW VEHICLE (NOT FORD) AND ACCEPTED A HUGE LOSS ON THE TRADE-IN VALUE BECAUSE I VALUE MY FAMILY'S SAFETY AND MY LIFE FAR MORE. MY MANY SERVICES HAVE ALL BEEN THROUGH FORD AND ARE AVAILABLE IN MY SERVICE RECORD AT FORD.
I AM THE 2ND OWNER OF THE VEHICLE. THIS CAR HAD NO KNOWN ISSUES UNTIL 6 MOHTS AFTER PURCHASE. I PURCHASED THIS CAR IN MARCH 26, 2018. CAR STUTTERS WHEN ACCELERATING, WHEN I FIRST PUSH THE GAS PEDAL THE CAR ACTS AS IF I’M PUSH BOTH THE GAS AND BREAK IT DOESN’T KNOW IF IT WANTS TO GO OR NOT THE RPM REVS UP REALLY HIGH BUT THE SPEED DOESN’T CHANGE. AT A RED LIGHT MY CAR BEGAN ACTING FUNNY WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN THE CAR WAS HESITANT TO GO IT WAS HAVING TROUBLE SHIFTING AND ACCELERATING THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON THE NEXT DAY AND THE CODE CAME BACK FOR A CLUTCH SENSOR I HAVE A DUAL TRANSMISSION FORD FIESTA THE CAR WONT TURN OVER SOMETIMES AND HAS TROUBLE STOPPING. WHEN I AM ON THE HIGHWAY AND I HAVE TO STOP AT A STOPLIGHT MY ENGINE WARNING LIGHT WILL COME ON AND THE CAR WILL IDLE ROUGH.
ON SEPTEMBER 18, 2018, MY FORD FIESTA (2013 SE 4 DR) RIGHT PASSENGER DOOR SUDDENLY, AND INEXPLICABLY, FAILED TO LATCH, POSING A SERIOUS SAFETY RISK. FORTUNATELY, THE CAR WAS STATIONARY. HOWEVER, I HAD TO HOLD THE DOOR CLOSED WITH A STRAP WHILE DRIVING TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR. THEIR RESPONSE WAS "THESE THINGS GIVE OUT FROM TIME TO TIME". I DID NOT BELIEVE THAT AND CONDUCTED ONLINE RESEARCH INTO THE PERSISTENT PROBLEM OF FIESTA DOOR LATCH FAILURES. I CONTACTED FORD MOTOR'S MAIN NUMBER AND WAS TOLD MY VIN IS NOT ON THE LIST FOR RECALL # 15S16 (DOOR LATCH FAILURES). HOWEVER, MY CAR WAS PRODUCED AT THE SAME FACTORY, AND DURING THE SAME TIME PERIOD, AS THE EFFECTED RECALLED FIESTA VEHICLES. MY CAR WAS MANUFACTURED ON AUGUST 14, 2012, IN CUAUTITLAN, MEXICO. IN 2015, FORD MOTOR COMPANY ISSUED RECALL 15S16 FOR FIESTAS PRODUCED AT THE CUAUTITLAN PRODUCTION SITE FOR CARS DATING FEB 1, 2012 - MAY 31, 2013. I AM NOT CERTAIN WHAT FORD'S CRITERIA IS FOR SELECTING CERTAIN VINS FOR RECALL. HOWEVER, THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE THAT HAS EFFECTED MANY FIESTA DRIVERS. I BELIEVE FORD HAS OMITTED SOME VINS FROM THE ORIGINAL RECALL LIST, AND MUST ADD EVERY VIN PRODUCED AT THAT CUAUTITLAN MEXICO PLANT DURING THE TIME FRAME SPECIFIED IN THE INITIAL RECALL FOR DOOR LATCH FAILURES. WITHOUT DOING SO, MYSELF AND OTHER CONSUMERS CANNOT BRING OUR VEHICLES INTO DEALERSHIPS FOR SAFETY INSPECTION AND PART REPLACEMENTS TO PREVENT LATCH FAILURES, AND, THEREFORE, REMAIN AT RISK OF OUR FIESTAS POSING A SAFETY ISSUE.
PASSENGER SIDE REAR DOOR LATCH WILL NOT SECURE. MY 8 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER WAS IN THE SEAT WHEN FAILURE OCCURRED. THERE IS A RECALL FOR MY MODEL YEAR FOR THIS DEFECT, BUT DEALER STATES MY VIN IS NOT AMONG THOSE THAT RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE. VEHICLE WAS IN A PARKING LOT WHEN FAILURE OCCURED.
FRONT DRIVER SIDE WONT CLOSE. HATCH NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. DEALER SAID IT WILL COST AROUND $500 TO REPLACE. I SAW AN ARTICLE OF HATCHES ON RECALL FROM 2012 TO 2014.
IN 2016 DOOR OPENED WHILE DRIVING, FORD FIXED DOOR LATCHES,ALL DOORS, UNDER A RECALL. A FEW MONTHS LATER THE REAR DOORS FAILED AGAIN. I WAS CHARGED TO REPAIR THE LATCH. ON SEPT 1, 2018 THE PASSENGERS BACK DOOR OPENED WHILE DRIVING ON CITY STREET AND WILL NOT LATCH AGAIN. CALLED DEALER AND THEY STATED I WILL HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE IT REPLACED AGAIN. I HAVE NOT HAD IT REPAIRED YET, PART IS OUT OF STOCK.
The contact owns a 2013 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated while making a left turn at the traffic light, with her grandchild in a car seat in the rear passenger seat, the rear passenger's side door opened inadvertently. The contact stopped in the middle of the road. A bystander attempted to close the rear passenger's side door; however, the door failed to closed. The bystander was able to keep the door closed by using a cord. The contact moved her grandchild to the rear middle seat. The contact also stated that while driving on another occasion, the front driver's side and front passenger's side doors inadvertently opened. Additionally, the contact stated while driving on a slight incline, the vehicle inadvertently rolled back. The contact depressed the accelerator pedal, but the vehicle failed to respond. The contact depressed the brake pedal, but the failed to respond. The contact engaged the electronic parking brake; however, the vehicle rolled to the base of the incline. The contact was able to continue driving on the leveled road surface. The contact stated that the failure had been recurring while driving on an incline. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and advised to contact the dealer for recall repairs. The dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The contact also stated that the seat belts pretensioners of the vehicle were not retracting as intended. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle was previously involved in a crash. The contact stated while idled at the traffic light, another vehicle crashed into the front end of the vehicle. The front driver's side air bag and knee air bag deployed and propelled burning fragments on the contact's face, legs, neck chest, arms. The contact also stated that the front driver's side air bag also hit her on her chin and neck and knocked her unconscious. The contact was transported to the hospital by emergency services. A police report was filed. The contact stated that she sustained burns all over her body and had been receiving neck bone and hip bone treatment The vehicle was taken to an autobody shop for repairs. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 32,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FIESTA. WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR INADVERTENTLY OPENED. THE PASSENGER HAD TO MANUALLY HOLD THE DOOR CLOSED WHILE THE CONTACT DROVE TO THE RESIDENCE. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE AND RECOMMENDED THE CONTACT TAKE THE VEHICLE TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 54,000.
TRANSMISSION SHUDDERS, JERKS, FALLS INTO NEUTRAL AT HIGH SPEEDS AND HAS BEEN REPAIRED TWICE FOR THE SAME PROBLEM IN LESS THAN A YEAR. FORD NEEDS TO RECALL THESES DEFECTIVE TRANSMISSIONS
TRANSMISSION SHUDDERS, STALLS, ERACTIC STARTS, EXCESSIVE TRANSMISSION NOISE AND STALLS OUT WITH RPMS GOING TO OVER 5 WHILE THE CAR STALLS. WHEN STALL HAPPENS IT TAKES ABOUT 40 SECOND TO RE ENGAGE THEN THAT A HARD SHIFT. THIS CAR SHOULD HAVE A RECALL ON THE TRANSMISSION. ALSO THE DEALER AND FORD BOTH KNEW OF THIS PROBLEM AND NEITHER ADVISE ME OF IT . IF I HAD KNOW OF THIS PROBLEM I WOULD NOT HAVE PURCHASED THIS CAR. IN LESS THAN ONE YEAR FORD HAS REPLACED THE CLUTCH TWICE AND IT IS IN NEED OF A THRIRD REPAIR.
VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED UNDER DOOR LATCH SAFETY RECALL IN SEPTEMBER 2015 AFTER RIGHT REAR DOOR (PASSENGER) WOULD NOT SHUT AND LATCH FAILED. ACCORDING TO DEALERSHIP THAT PERFORMED RECALL THEY STATE THEY REPLACED ALL FOUR DOOR LATCHES HOWEVER THE LEFT REAR DOOR (DRIVER) IS NOW HAVING THE SAME LATCH ISSUE. DOOR WILL NOT SHUT AND NEEDS TO BE HELD CLOSED WITH DEVICES TO REMAIN SHUT TO OPERATE THE VEHICLE. 2 DEALERSHIPS REFUSE TO PERFORM ANOTHER REPLACEMENT WITHOUT FEE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ALL AMERICAN FORD (3698 US 9, OLD BRIDGE, NEW JERSEY 08857) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SENSOR ON THE PASSENGER SEAT WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 82,000. *TT
I OPENED MY BACK PASSENGER SEAT AND CLOSED IT. WHEN I CLOSED IT, IT DIDNT CLOSE. I CANT CLOSE MY DOOR NOW.
FRONT PASSENGER DOOR LOCK LATCH FAILED WHILE DRIVING. SON WAS IN PASSENGER SEAT AT TIME OF FAILURE AND ALMOST FEEL OUT. DOOR LATCH WOULD NO LONGER SECURE. DOOR LATCH FAILED WHILE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION MAKING A LOW SPEED TURN. VEHICLE VIN NOT COVERED UNDER EXISTING FORD RECALL FROM 2015.
WHILE DRIVING AIR CONDITIONING, RADIO AND HEADLIGHTS CUTS OUT INTERMITTENTLY AND WARNING LIGHTS COME ON AND THEN GO OFF. TURN TCS SYSTEM OFF? IS ALSO DISPLAYED WHEN THIS HAPPENS. SINCE THIS CAR HAS A MANUAL TRANSMISSION IT HAPPENS WHEN CLUTCH IS BEING ENGAGED.
EXCESSIVE TRANSMISSION CLUTCH SHUDDER DURING LIGHT ACCELERATION. CAR WILL SOMETIMES SLIP AND CAUSE CAR TO ABRUPTLY SLOW DOWN WHILE TAKING OFF FROM TRAFFIC LIGHT. IN EMERGENCY SITUATION WHERE CAR WILL NEED TO BACK UP TRANSMISSION WILL SLIP FORCING CAR TO BE UNABLE TO REVERSE.
THERE ARE ISSUES WITH BOTH THE RADIO AND THE MESSAGE SCREEN ON THE DASHBOARD. THE RADIO PROBLEMS ARE INDEED A SAFETY ISSUES. I PURCHASED THIS CAR IN FEBRUARY OF THIS YEAR. AT FIRST, THE RADIO WOULD JUST INTERMITTENLY GO OUT AND WOULD COME BACK ON AFTER A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. HOWEVER, AS TIME WENT ON, EXTREMELY LOUD STATIC WOULD BURST FROM THE SPEAKERS EVERY TIME THE RADIO WENT OUT, WHETHER OR NOT KEYS WERE IN THE IGNITIOD. THIS HAS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING - WHICH IS A TERRIFYING DISTRACTION WHEN YOU LEAST EXPECT IT. THE RADIO HAS BEEN OUT FOR WEEKS NOW - IT HAS COME BACK ONCE OR TWICE, BUT ALWAYS QUICKLY GOES BACK OUT, WITH THAT LOUD STATIC BLAST. BEYOND THAT LOUD BLAST...THERE HAS ALSO BEEN INSTANCES WHERE THE STATIC SIMPLY CONTINUES - AGAIN THIS HAS HAPPENED WHILE TRAVELING AND IT'S SO DISTRACTING IT REALLY COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT - I FEEL LUCKY THAT HASN'T HAPPENED. I ALSO HAVE A FEW VIDEOS OF THIS HAPPENING AND WOULD BE HAPPY TO SHARE. IN ADDITION TO THE RADIO, RANDOM MESSAGES ARE DISPLAYED ON THE DISPLAY SCREEN, I.E DRIVER/PASSENGER DOOR OPEN WHILE NOT ACTUALLY OPEN. THE "CRITICAL ENGINE FAILURE" MESSAGE HAS DISPLAYED MORE THAN ONCE WHEN NOTHING WAS ACTUALLY WRONG - AGAIN, A TERRIFYING DISTRACTION WHEN TRAVELING (ESPECIALLY ON THE HIGHWAY AS I HAVE BEEN WHEN THAT MESSAGE APPEARS.) FROM WHAT I HAVE SEEN ONLINE, THIS IS AN INSANELY COMMON PROBLEM WITH 2013 FORD FIESTAS. AN ESTIMATE TO REPLACE THE RADIO CAME IN AT $280 WITHOUT LABOR - THAT'S REALLY INSANE FOR A PROBLEM THAT IS CLEARLY A DESIGN/SYSTEM FLAW SPECIFIC TO THIS MAKE AND MODEL, NOT SIMPLY THE VEHICLE I SPECIFICALLY OWN. I DO HAVE A COUPLE OF PICTURES OF THE MESSAGE DISPLAY (UNFORTUNATELY NOT THE CRITICAL ENGINE FAILURE MESSAGE) BUT AGAIN, I HAVE MULTIPLE VIDEOS OF THE RADIO ISSUE THAT I'M HAPPY TO PROVIDE (ALSO THE DATE BELOW IS RANDOM - IT'S HAPPENED MANY TIMES ON DIFFERENT OCCAISIONS)
WHILE DRIVING "ENGINE MALFUNCTION SERVICE NOW" LIGHT COMES ON, THEN STOPS ACCELERATING IN MOTION. TURNED VEHICLE OFF/ON LIGHT GOES OUT, CONTINUE DRIVING AND IT HAPPENS AGAIN. DID ALL MY CHECKS AND BALANCES, SEEMS LIKE A MANUFACTURURES ISSUE. HIGH SAFETY ISSUE WHEN TRAVELING. HAD TRANSMISSION SHUTTER SEAL REPLACED TWICE IN 2 YRS BY FORD DEALERSHIP FREE OF CHARGE.
IN 11/2015 THE DOOR LATCHES WERE REPLACED ON MY 2013 FORD FIESTA PER A SAFETY RECALL. IN 5/2018 THE DOOR LATCH ON THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE FAILED, MY DAUGHTER, WHO WAS GOING TO SCHOOL AWAY FROM HOME, WAS PARKED ON THE STREET AND AS SOON AS SHE PULLED INTO TRAFFIC HER DOOR FLEW OPEN AND WOULD NOT STAY CLOSED ALMOST CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. I DID HAVE THE LATCH REPLACED AT A REPAIR SHOP SINCE FORD WASN'T ABLE TO FIX IT RIGHT AWAY AND IT NEEDED TO BE FIXED ASAP. WHEN MY DAUGHTER RETURNED HOME FROM SCHOOL A FEW WEEKS LATER I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE THE CAR WAS PURCHASED COMPLAINING ABOUT THE FAULTY LATCH WANTING TO KNOW HOW IT COULD HAVE FAILED AND EXPRESSING MY CONCERN OF THE SAFETY OF THE VEHICLE. THEY HAD NO ANSWER FOR THE FAILURE AND ALSO SAID THAT THE "WARRANTY ON THE RECALL PART HAD ELAPSED AND ONCE THE RECALL WAS COMPLETED ANY OBLIGATION ON FORD'S PART WAS OVER". I FOUND THIS UNACCEPTABLE AND THEY SUGGESTED I VOICE MY COMPLAINTS TO FORD OWNER RELATIONS, WHICH I DID. I CONTACTED THEM AND VOICED MY CONCERN ABOUT THE RECALL PART FAILING AFTER 2 1/2 YEARS. I SAID THAT SOMETHING MUST STILL BE WRONG WITH THE LATCHES FOR THIS TO HAPPEN. I ALSO REQUESTED ASSURANCE OF THE SAFETY OF THE VEHICLE GOING FORWARD AND ASKING IF THEY WILL BE RESPONSIBLE SHOULD THIS HAPPEN AGAIN AND THIS TIME WITH A MORE SERIOUS OUTCOME? I ALSO ASKED SINCE THE FAILED LATCH WAS REPLACED AT AN OUTSIDE SHOP AND NOT FORD WOULD FORD BE RESPONSIBLE IF THAT ONE WERE TO FAIL? THEIR RESPONSE WAS, "UNFORTUNATELY, I AM UNABLE TO PROVIDE YOU WITH THE INFORMATION YOU ARE REQUESTING". THEY THEN SUGGESTED CONTACTING NHTSA. I LET THEM KNOW THAT I WAS VERY UPSET THAT NOBODY WILL TAKE RESPONSIBILITY OR GIVE ME A REASON FOR THE FAILED LATCH OR CAN ASSURE ME OF THE SAFETY OF THE VEHICLE IN THE FUTURE. THEY APOLOGIZED AND SAID THEY WOULD DOCUMENT MY SATISFACTION.*DT CONSUMER STATED DOOR LATCHES HAVE BEEN REPLACED BY THE DEALER AT NO COST.*JB

WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH APPROACHING A TRAFFIC LIGHT, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND "SERVICE TRANSMISSION" DISPLAYED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE STARTED TO DECELERATE AND THE CONTACT PULLED INTO A PARKING LOT. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED AND THE SAME INDICATOR AND MESSAGE REMAINED ILLUMINATED; HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ENGAGE IN REVERSE. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO JOE MYERS FORD (16634 NORTH WEST FREEWAY, HOUSTON, TEXAS 77040) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE AND CLUTCH ACTUATOR MOTOR FAILED, AND OIL WAS LEAKING FROM THE VALVE GASKET AREA. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED FOR TRANSMISSION FAILURE IN JULY OF 2017. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED FOR THE RECENT FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 96,000.
HELLO THERE! IT'S BEEN A REALLY LONG STORY, BUT MY CAR HAS HAD A HISTORY OF TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS THAT HAVE BEEN REPLACED TWICE NOW ON FORD'S DOLLAR. IT'S BEEN HAVING THE SAME ISSUES NOW AND IT'S EVEN WORSE. IT'S NON DRIVABLE. THERE ARE TWO OPEN RECALLS FOR IT, 14M01 AND 14M02. I TOOK IT TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP AND WE'VE GONE BACK AND FORTH WITH MANUFACTURING, BUT IT'S SO BROKEN THEY CAN'T PULL THOSE CODES. THEY SAY THAT I NEED TO PAY FOR A TEAR DOWN (AT LEAST 1,200) SO THEY CAN DIAGNOSE IT TO SEE IF THEY'LL REIMBURSE ME. I'M OBVIOUSLY NOT GOING TO PAY FOR THAT AND I'D LIKE FORD TO PAY FOR IT, BUT THEY WON'T. I HAVE AN OPEN CASE WITH THEM, BUT REACHED THE END OF THE LINE. CAN YOU HELP?
ALL 4 DOOR LATCHES WERE REPLACED ON 23 MAY 2015 UNDER RECALL #15S16. AT THAT TIME, THE CAR HAD 44,592 MILES. ON MONDAY, 23 APRIL 2018, THE DRIVER'S DOOR REFUSED TO LATCH. WHEN YOU TRIED TO CLOSE IT, IF FLEW OPEN AGAIN. THE CAR NOW HAS 66754 MILES. IT SEEMS THAT THE ORIGINAL LATCHES WERE BETTER THAN THE REPLACEMENT LATCHES. FORTUNATELY, THIS HAPPENED AS I WAS PREPARING TO LEAVE THE HOUSE. WE DUCT TAPED THE DOOR FROM THE OUTSIDE AND TOOK IT TO THE GARAGE, NO RECALL, MORE THAN A YEAR SINCE REPLACEMENT, FORD DENIES RESPONSIBILITY. I WANTED TO REPORT THIS I CASE OTHERS HAD THIS PROBLEM. I HAVE TO FIX IT, IT IS COSTING ME OVER $350.

I HAVE BEEN HAVING ISSUES WITH MY FIESTA EVER SINCE THE FIRST WEEK I GOT IT BACK IN 2015. WHEN DRIVING, THE CAR STARTS TO JERK LIKE ITS NOT TRANSITIONING INTO THE NEXT GEAR CORRECTLY. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO MULTIPLE SHOPS AND EVEN THE FORD IN MY AREA AND NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. AT TIMES IT FEELS LIKE THE CAR WILL COMPLETELY SHUT OFF. ONE OF MY CO WORKERS HAS THE SAME CAR AND SAYS THE SAME THING HAPPENS TO HER ALL THE TIME AND NOBODY KNOWS WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. THIS HAPPENS EVERYDAY MORE SO WHEN YOU ARE A STOP AND BEGIN TO SPEED UP. ITS A VERY UNCOMFORTABLE FEELING AND IT MAKES FOR A BAD RIDE, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU HAVE OTHER PEOPLE IN THE CAR AND YOU ALL START JERKING BECAUSE OF THE CAR. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CAR TO ANYONE !!!

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FAILURE MIGHT BE DUE TO A SENSOR OR AN ELECTRICAL FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
THE NATURAL VACUUM LEAK DETECTION PUMP ON MY VEHICLE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED . A REVIEW ON LINE SHOWS THAT THIS DEVICE WHICH IS PART OF THE EMISSIONS SYSTEM IS CONTINUOUSLY BACKORDERED FOR MONTHS. INDICATIING A HIGH FAILURE RATE. THIS PUMP IS ESSENTIAL IN THAT IT PERMITS THE CAR TO BE FILLED AT A GAS PUMP. IN FAILURE YOU CAN ONLY FILL A GALLON AT A TIME BEFORE THE VALVE IN IT CLOSED AND YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE NOZZLE AND START AGAIN.
