WHILE DRIVING THE CAR STARTING SUDDENLY SOUNDING LIKE FIREWORKS WERE GOING OFF. LOUD, AND SCARY NEARLY CAUSING ACCIDENT. CONTINUED TO BLAIR STARTLING LOUD SOUNDS FOR PROLONGED TIME.
ONGOING ISSUE - KEY WAS NOT IN THE IGNITION, YOU HEAR LOUD STATIC COMING FROM RADIO/AUDIO SYSTEM. PLEASE NOTE THIS HAPPENS RANDOMLY WHILE THE CAR IS MOVING OR PARKED - KEY NOT IN IGNITION. THE RADIO NO LONGER FUNCTIONS - YOU HEAR 'CRACKING AND POPPING' REGULARLY AND SOMETIMES THE VOLUME IS STARTLING DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND THE AUDIO SYSTEM STARTS BLARING STATIC, YOU JUMP REACTING TO THE NOISE. THIS CAUSES DISTRACTED DRIVING WHICH IS ILLEGAL IN CALIFORNIA AND MANY OTHER STATES. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS ONLINE IN MANY BLOGS ABOUT THIS PRODUCT WHO ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM. INTERVENTION BY NHTSA IS NEEDED BEFORE SOMEONE IS HURT IN AN ACCIDENT FROM BEING DISTRACTED BY THIS BLARING NOISE. SOME CONSUMERS CAN NOT AFFORD TO REPLACE OR REMOVE THE SYSTEMS. ADDITIONALLY DUE TO THE DESIGN OF THE SYSTEM YOU WOULD HAVE TO REPLACE IT WITH ANOTHER FORD PRODUCT SINCE THE AIR VENTS ARE ATTACHED TO THE SYSTEM. PLEASE NOTE WHILE THESE ELECTRICAL/AUDIO STATIC PROBLEMS ARE GOING ON, THE SYNC SYSTEM HASN'T BEEN FULLY OPERATIONAL EITHER. MY STATE DOES NOT ALLOW DRIVING WITH CELLPHONES SO AN UNAVAILABLE SYNC SYSTEM IS NOT ONLY A PAIN BUT PREVENTS COMPLIANCE WITH THE LAW.
STRANGE EGG TYPE SMELL COMING FROM VENTS WHEN I TURN ON HEATER, DIFFICULT TO BREATH IN CAR WHEN THIS OCCURS. THIS CONTINUES TO HAPPEN.
MY TRACTION CONTROL OFF KEEPS COMING ON WITH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ALSO AND MY BLUE TOOTH ON THE STEERING WHEEL WON'T WORK . WHEN THE TRACTION CONTROL OFF COMES ON I LOOSE POWER IN MY PEDAL AND ACTS LIKE IT DOESN'T WANNA GO.
THE DRIVER'S DOOR WILL NOT LATCH SHUT. THE CAR WAS IN THE DRIVE WAY AND WHEN I TRIED TO CLOSE THE DOOR IT WOULD NOT CLOSE.
I BOUGHT THIS CAR FROM A HOUSTON HONDA DEALERSHIP IN MAY OF 2017, I LATE SEPTEMBER 2017, EARLY OCTOBER 2017, I TOOK MY CAR INTO THE HONDA DEALERSHIP BECAUSE MY 'TRACTION CONTROL', 'ABS', & 'ANTI-SKID' LIGHTS CAME ON. MY RADIO CUT IN & OUT, MY HEADLIGHTS WOULD CUT OFF AND ON/DIM WHILE DRIVING, CAUSING THE GEARS IN MY CAR TO SHIFT. I WAS TOLD TO TAKE IT TO FORD. I TOOK IT TO FORD, THEY DIAGNOSED IT, I NEEDED A NEW 'TCM' WHICH IS THE COMPUTER SYSTEM INSIDE OF THE CAR. THE WARRANTY COVERED IT, & I GOT A NEW ONE. AFTER THAT, I WAS TOLD I NEEDED A NEW BATTERY, SO I GOT ONE, PUT IT IN, THE CAR RAN GOOD FOR A MONTH OR SO. THE 'TCM' SLIPPED AGAIN, & I WAS BACK TO SQUARE ONE. NOVEMBER 2017 IS THEN THE TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS REALLY BEGAN; INTERIOR DASHBOARD LIGHTS BEGAN TO FLICKER, & MY ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, SHORTLY AFTER EXITING THE HIGHWAY, MY CAR STOPPED ACCELERATING. MY FOOT WAS PRESSED DOWN ON THE GAS PEDAL, BUT THE CAR WOULDN'T SPEED UP, ALL YOU COULD HEAR WAS THE ENGINE RUNNING. I HAD TO PULL OVER, TURN OFF, AND TURN MY CAR BACK ON, TO CONTINUE DRIVING. AFTER NUMEROUS TRIPS TO FORD, TWO NEW BATTERIES, & TWO NEW ALTERNATORS, I AM STILL HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS. IT HAS BEEN ABOUT A YEAR HAVING THIS CAR, & THEY ARE STILL UNABLE TO PROPERLY DIAGNOSE, & FIX THE PROBLEM. IN A YEAR SPAN, I HAVE BEEN CAR-LESS FOR ABOUT 4 WEEKS (COLLECTIVELY), HAVE TAKEN MULTIPLE UBER RIDES, TO AND FROM THE DEALERSHIP(S), AND NO PROGRESS HAS BEEN MADE ON MY 2013 FORD FIESTA!
THE CAR SLIPS AND SUDDENLY GOES OFF WHILE IN MOTION AND ALL THE DASHBOARD LIGHTS COME UP SO IT HAS TO BE LEFT FOR FEW MINUTES AND IT WILL START ALL OVER AGAIN. I GOT A REAL NOTICE FROM A DEALERSHIP WHICH I TOOK TO THEM AND THEY CALLED ME BACK THAT IT WAS FIXED BUT TO MY SURPRISE THE PROBLEM WAS STILL THERE. I SENT SEVERAL EMAILS TO THEM BUT GOT NO RESPONSE BACK FROM THEM.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FIESTA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN RETURNING TO THE VEHICLE, AN ATTEMPT WAS MADE TO START THE VEHICLE BUT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START AS ALL THE WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHOM INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE FAILURE WAS DUE TO THE TRANSMISSION NEEDING REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE NOR WAS THE DEALER CONTACTED. THE VIN SEARCH REVEALED NO RECALLS ASSOCIATED WITH THE VIN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 62,000.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY A SUDDEN SCREECHING, POPPING AND CRACKING SOUNDS STARTLED ME TO THE POINT I ALMOST HIT ANOTHER CAR, AFTER PARKING THE CAR ON A SIDE STREET AND TURNING IT COMPLETELY OFF THE SOUNDS CONTINUED ON. THE CAR HAS BLUETOOTH AND SYNC WHICH WILL NOT WORK TO TURN OFF THE SOUNDS. BOTH SYSTEMS ARE DOWN. I HAD SOMEONE LOOK AT THE CAR BUT WAS TOLD NOTHING LOOKED WRONG THEY DID HOWEVER CHECK ALL THE FUSES AND SPEAKERS WITH CONFUSED ME. I CHECKED FOR RECALL ON THE CAR BUT FOUND NONE RELATED TO THIS PROBLEM, I DID FIND LOTS OF ONLINE BLOGS AND WEBSITES TALKING ABOUT THE ISSUE. I HOPE YOU CAN INVESTIGATE THIS ISSUE, IT REALLY IS DANGEROUS DRIVING WITH THIS CONDITION
MY DOOR WILL NOT STAY SHUT. I CAN CLOSE IT BUT THE LATCH DOESN'T LOCK AND I'LL HAVE TO DUCT TAPE THE DOOR CLOSED TO GET IT TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR. THE PROBLEM OCCURRED AT HOME WHEN I OPENED THE DOOR TO GET STUFF OUT THE BACKSEAT, THEN TRIED TO CLOSE IT AND IT WOULD NOT LOCK. I'VE RARELY USED THIS REAR PASSENGER DOOR SINCE I'M THE ONLY USER OF THIS VEHICLE AND USE THE HATCHBACK TRUNK WITH THE SEATS DOWN, SO I REACH IN OUT THROUGH THE TRUNK MOSTLY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FIESTA. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR A ROUTINE OIL CHANGE, THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO A FORD DEALER TO HAVE THE SHUTTER SYSTEM INSPECTED. AFTER LEAVING THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND DRIVING 35 MPH, THE CONTACT MADE A RIGHT TURN AND THE VEHICLE JERKED AND STALLED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE AND DROVE HOME. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED PER TSB: 14E08 TO HAVE THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE REPROGRAMMED AT FREEWAY FORD (9700 LYNDALE AVE S, BLOOMINGTON, MN 55420 (952) 888-9481). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 52,000.
IT STARTED SMOKING ALL OF A SUDDEN FROM THE ENGINE AREA. I THINK THE MANUFACTURER IS NOT REVEALING THE REAL PROBLEMS IN THE RECALL NOTICE
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2013 FORD FIESTA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, THE CONTACT NOTICED SMOKE FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO PULL THE VEHICLE OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. AS SHE WAS STOPPING THE VEHICLE, ANOTHER MOTORIST ALERTED THE CONTACT OF FLAMES UNDERNEATH THE FRONT END OF HER VEHICLE. THE CONTACT AND HER PASSENGERS WERE ABLE TO EXIT SAFELY. THE VEHICLE BECAME ENGULFED IN FLAMES. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CALLED AND EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. THE CONTACT WAS UNAWARE IF FIRE OR POLICE REPORT WERE FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOW LOT AND DEEMED A TOTAL LOSS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INSPECTED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, DEALER, OR THE INSURANCE COMPANY TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT AN UNKNOWN WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED, BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED TO DIRECT ALL QUESTIONS TO HER INSURANCE COMPANY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 62,053. ...UPDATED 10/19/17 *BF *JS
THE CLUTCH HAS BEEN REPLACED THREE TIMES AND CAR CONTINUES TO HESITATE ,BUCKS, LURCHES FORWARD, AND ENGINE MAKES BUZZING SOUND FEELS LIKE IT'S DRAGGING WHEN DRIVING. MOST RECENTLY AT A STOP SIGN THE CAR ACCELERATED AND LURCHED FORWARD I HAD TWO FEET ON THE BRAKE IT WAS DIFFICULT TO CONTROL.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE EXPRESSWAY MY CAR BEGAN SMOKING AND BEGAN TO OVERHEAT WHICH CAUSED A CRACKED CYLINDER HEAD THAT SPRAYED OIL ALL OVER THE INSIDE OF MY HOOD SPARKING A SMALL FIRE UNDER THE HOOD. THE COMPUTER BEGAN TO SHUT THE CAR DOWN AND DISPLAYED A WARNING MESSAGE THAT STATED SUDDEN LOSS OF OIL PRESSURE, PLEASE PREPARE TO PULL OVER SAFELY. JUST AS I READ THAT MESSAGE THE BRAKES STARTED TO LOCK AND THE STEERING BECAME HARDER TO TURN AS I TRIED TO GET OFF THE NEXT EXIT FROM THE EXPRESSWAY. I REINJURED MY BROKEN ANKLE IN TRYING TO KEEP STOP AND CONTROL THE CAR. ONCE PULLED OVER THE CAR CONTINUED TO SMOKE AND NO LONGER STARTED. I FILED A CLAIM WITH MY INSURANCE AND IT WAS DENIED AS THEY FOUND THE CAUSE WAS DUE TO RECALL MECHANICAL OR ELECTRICAL BREAKDOWN STILL UNDER POWERTRAIN WARRANTY. I WENT ONLINE AND FOUND ON THE FORD MOTOR COMPANY MEDIACENTER WEBSITE THIS RECALL NOTICE DATE 3/29/17. MY VIN # WAS NOT ON THIS LIST BUT TO THE LETTER IS WHAT I EXPERIENCED: FORD ISSUES SAFETY RECALL FOR CERTAIN 2013-15 FORD ESCAPE, FORD FIESTA ST, FORD FUSION AND FORD TRANSIT CONNECT 1.6-LITER GTDI VEHICLES FOR UNDER-HOOD FIRE RISK FORD IS ISSUING A SAFETY RECALL IN NORTH AMERICA FOR APPROXIMATELY 230,000 2014 FORD ESCAPE, 2014-15 FORD FIESTA ST, 2013-14 FORD FUSION AND 2013-15 FORD TRANSIT CONNECT VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH 1.6-LITER GTDI ENGINES. FORD'S INVESTIGATION OF THESE VEHICLES HAS IDENTIFIED A RISK OF UNDER-HOOD FIRES. IN THE AFFECTED VEHICLES, A LACK OF COOLANT CIRCULATION COULD CAUSE AN ENGINE TO OVERHEAT, RESULTING IN A CRACK IN THE CYLINDER HEAD. A CRACKED CYLINDER HEAD CAN RESULT IN A PRESSURIZED OIL LEAK. OIL THAT COMES INTO CONTACT WITH A HOT ENGINE SURFACE INCREASES THE RISK OF A FIRE IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. FORD IS AWARE OF 29 REPORTS OF FIRE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS ISSUE IN THE UNITED STATES AND CANADA. NO INJURIES HAVE BEEN REPORTED.
TRANSMISSION SHUDDERING, SHAKING. DELAYED ACCELERATION AND SOME ACCELERATION ON DECELERATION. HORRIBLE ESPECIALLY BETWEEN FIRST AND SECOND GEARS. CAR JUMPS AND LURCHES FORWARD ON ACCELERATION
THIS HAS HAPPENED 2 TIMES. JAN 20, 2016. FRONT PASSENGER DOOR OPENED IN MOTION ON A CITY STREET. A PASSENGER WAS IN THE SEAT. THE "LATCH" WOULD NOT ALLOW DOOR TO STAY CLOSED. RECALL #15S16/15V-246. WE RECEIVED A LETTER INFORMING US WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS BUT PART WAS NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR REPAIR. LATCH WAS FIXED IN JANUARY OF 2016. JULY 21ST 2017, REAR LEFT PASSENGER DOOR, WITH A PASSENGER IN THE SEAT, FLUNG OPEN WHILE MAKING A RIGHT TURN ON A CITY STREET, DOOR WOULD NOT LATCH AND STAY CLOSED. FORD WOULD NOT COVER THE REPAIR WHEN WE FIRST BROUGHT IT IN BECAUSE THE REPLACEMENT WAS OUT OF THE 1 YEAR WARRANTY. JULY 25, 2017 WERE QUOTED $300 TO GET THE LATCH FIXED. AFTER COMPLAINING WITH FORD AND FORD SERVICE MANAGER WE WERE QUOTED $150, ONLY 1 YEAR WARRANTY. THAT TELLS ME FORD IS NOT CONFIDENT IN THERE PRODUCT OR REPAIR TO ONLY GIVE A 1 YEAR WARRANTY. THE LATCHES WERE APPARENTLY THE NEW AND IMPROVED BUT IT MALFUNCTIONED 17 MONTHS LATER, UNACCEPTABLE, THERE HAS BEEN NO RECALL AS OF AUGUST 1, 2017 FOR THE REPLACED LATCHES.
2013 FORD FIESTA HAD DOOR LATCHES REPLACED IN JANUARY 2016 UNDER RECALL. NO PROBLEMS HAD OCCURRED WITH THE DOORS PREVIOUSLY ON THIS VEHICLE. 18 MONTHS LATER, THE REPLACED DOOR LATCH FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY. THE FAILED LATCH WAS ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE REAR DOOR WHICH IS RARELY USED.
DOOR IS HAVING TROUBLE LATCHING. SOMETIMES FEELS LIKE THE DOOR IS CLOSES AND COMES UNLATCHED WHILE DRIVING. TRYING TO CLOSE THE DOOR SEVERAL TIMES HAS RESULTED IN A DENT IN THE DOOR AND BROKEN INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE.

IN ADDITION, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS INITIALLY TAKEN TO ROKSTAD FORD MERCURY (476600 US-95, PONDERAY, ID 83852, (208) 263-3127) TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED AND NO FAILURE WAS FOUND. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 159,183.
I HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS INCLUDING THE CAR STALLING WHEN ACCELERATING WHILE TRYING TO COMPLETE TURNS IN TRAFFIC DURING TURN SIGNALS. I HAVE AT ONE POINT A SITUATION AT A STOP LIGHT WHERE BRAKES WERE APPLIED AND CAR WENT FORWARD UNEXPECTEDLY. ADDITIONALLY SINCE ALMOST THE BEGINNING OF THE VEHICLE IT HAS RUN ROUGH, SOMETIMES HAVING DIFFICULTY CHANGING GEARS, MULTIPLE INCIDENTS WHERE IT STALLED WHEN ACCELERATING ON INTERSTATE. HAD 2 DIFFERENT REPAIRS TO REVIEW PROBLEM, INCLUDING FORD COMPUTER FIX THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO HELP, BUT DID NOT. THIS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES FOR THESE INSTANCES. INSTANCE I DEMOTED ON CALENDAR INVOLVED VEHICLE STALLING AT TURNS WHICH HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES AS WELL
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FIESTA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE STOPPING AT A TRAFFIC SIGN, THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR INDEPENDENTLY OPENED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO LOCAL DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE LATCH FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE LOCAL DEALER, ADVANTAGE FORD LINCOLN 1031 CENTRAL AVENUE, DURANTE, CA 91010 INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE PARTS WOULD BE AVAILABLE IN AUGUST OF 2017. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V246000 (STRUCTURE), HOWEVER THE PARTS TO REMEDY THE VEHICLE WHERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE, THEY INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE CASE WAS BEING REVIEWED. THE CONTACT FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE MANUFACTURER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 40,000.
ALL WARNING LIGHTS COME ON, HEADLIGHTS GO OFF, AND THE RADIO GOES OFF AT RANDOM TIMES. ALSO THE TRANSMISSION WARNING COMES ON RANDOMLY (PER THE MESSAGE BOARDS THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE WITH THIS MODEL). IT'S BEEN IN THE DEALERSHIP'S SHOP 3 TIMES AND THEY'VE NOT BEEN ABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEMS THEREFORE THEY HAVE NOT FIXED THE PROBLEMS.
THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR LATCH FAILED. IT WOULD NOT CLOSE. I HAD TO USE A THIN PIECE OF PLASTIC AND LASSO IT BETWEEN THE DOOR, THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT METAL PART OF THE HEADREST, AND ALONG THE DOOR HANDLE. DESPITE DOING THIS THE DOOR REMAINED OPENED (AS DISPLAYED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL) AND THE INSIDE DOME LIGHTS WOULD NOT CUTOFF. I NOTICED THE DOOR WAS OPEN JUST AS I HAD BEGAN PULLING OFF. I HOPPED OUT SHUT THE DOOR GOT BACK IN ON THE DRIVERS SIDE ONLY TO SEE THAT THE INSTRUMENT PANEL WAS STILL DISPLAYING THAT THE DOOR WAS OPEN. WHAT'S RIDICULOUS IS ON SEPT 6, 2016 I WENT INTO THE DEALER (MARSHALL FORD WERE I BOUGHT THE CAR BRAND NEW WITH 13 MILES ON IT) BECAUSE THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR DID THE EXACT SAME THING WHICH WAS UNDER RECALL 15S16. WAS ADVISED BY THE SERVICE MANGER 'JIM" AT MARSHALL FORD, 1075 WEST TERRA LANE,O'FALLON,MO 63366 THAT THE "REPLACEMENT PART HAD A 12 MONTH/12,000 MILE WARRANTY'..I'M WITHIN THE 1 YR TIMEFRAME BUT HAVE EXCEEDED THE MILEAGE COMPONENT. I HAD TO GET IT FIXED SO I CAN GET AROUND AND WAS TOLD BY "RANDOLF" AT FORD MOTOR COMPANY CUSTOMER RELATIONS (800-392-3673) TO KEEP THE RECEIPT INCASE FORD ISSUES ANOTHER RECALL. THIS IS BEYOND UNSAFE AND RIDICULOUS.
THIS CAR HAS TRANSMISSION/CLUTCH ISSUES. I'VE TAKEN IT TO FORD AND THEY ARE SAYING IT'S THE BRAKES. THE SOUND THAT MY CAR IS MAKING HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH BRAKES. MY CAR HESITATES, SHUDDERS, JERKS WHEN DRIVING. IT ALSO HAS A LOUD NOISE THAT I'VE BEEN TOLD ONCE BY FORD THAT IT SOUNDED LIKE THE CLUTCH. NOW THEY SAY THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH CLUTCH/TRANSMISSION. MY CAR FEELS LIKE IT'S A STICK SHIFT AND WHEN DRIVING SOMETIMES IT FEELS LIKE IT'S GOING TO STALL AFTER STOPPING. SOMETIMES I CAN'T GET IT TO REACH THE SPEED I WANT AND IT HAS DIFFICULTY ACCELERATING. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING IT THAT IS WHY I HAVE TAKEN IT TO FORD AGAIN. I HAVE VIDEOS WITH THE NOISE IT'S MAKING AND I HAVE EVEN PLAYED IT FOR THE PEOPLE AT FORD. DESPITE HAVING HEARD THE VIDEO AND HAVING DRIVEN MY CAR, THEY SAY IT'S FINE, NOTHING IS WRONG WITH IT. THE NOISE IS GETTING WORSE AND I FEEL LIKE IF I CONTINUE DRIVING THE CAR I WILL GET INTO AN ACCIDENT.

FORD CLAIMS THIS IS A ISSUE DONE DURING MANUFACTURING AND THE FIX IS TO RE WIRE THE HARNESS UNDER DASH BUT IS NOT COVERED DUE TO IT BEING A WIRING ISSUE. LOSS OF PERFORMANCE IN VEHICLE IS A SAFETY ISSUE IF DRIVING ON A FREE WAY OR OTHER ROADS AND YOU CAR LOSES MOST POWER. FORD HAS SAID THAT THIS ISSUE IS NOT THE WORRY BUT IT IS A VERY KNOWN ISSUE AND CONSUMERS JUST HAVE TO PAY AND HAVE IT FIXED WHICH IS COSTS IN THE THOUSANDS FOR THERE MANUFACTURING DEFECT.THIS ISSUE HAPPENS WHEN ACCELERATING OR JUST DRIVING ON HIGHWAY OR CITY STREETS. BOUGHT THIS CAR NEW ON 12/22/2013 AND HAVE BEEN HAVING TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS FROM DAY 3 OF OWNING IT. THIS CAR IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. IT GRINDS, CLICKS AND MAKES HORRIBLY LOUD NOISES. IT STALLS IN THE MIDDLE OF TURNS AND I'VE ALMOST BEEN RAN OVER MANY TIMES. IT JERKS AND ACCELERATES ON ITS OWN WITHOUT ME EVENING TELLING IT TO. NOW AT APPROXIMATELY 54,000 MILES IT WILL NO LONGER EVEN START AND THE LIGHT SAYS "TRANSMISSION MALFUNCTION SERVICE NOW." THE WRENCH LIGHT AND ENGINE LIGHT ALSO COME ON AND OFF, PERIODICALLY. FORD MOTOR COMPANY IS WELL AWARE THAT THEY PUT BAD TRANSMISSIONS IN ALL OF THESE NEW CARS AND WE HAVE BEEN ROBBED. IS IT GOING TO TAKE SOMEONE'S DEATH BEFORE SOMEONE DOES THE RIGHT THING IN THIS SITUATION?
PLACED A CASE OF WATER IN THE REAR SEAT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AFTER GROCERY SHOPPING. DOOR MADE A WORRYING "THUNK" WHEN CLOSED AND CAME RIGHT BACK OPEN. INSPECTED LATCH; NO LONGER LOCKS IN PLACE WHEN CLOSED. LUCKILY WIFE WAS WITH ME AND ABLE TO HOLD THE DOOR CLOSED ON THE WAY HOME.

SEVERAL DAYS LATER IN A DIFFERENT LOCATION, SAME MESSAGE APPEARED, BUT STAYED ON; DRIVING ABOUT 35MPH ON RESIDENTIAL AREA OF CITY; THEN ENGINE RACED BUT DID NOT SHIFT GEARS; CAR SHUTTERED; BUT DID NOT SEEM TO GET POWER; COASTED TO SIDE OF ROAD AND CALLED FOR HELP. CAR TOWED TO A DIFFERENT DEALER.
VEHICLE IS DANGEROUS. I HAVE EXPERIENCED LOSS OF POWER WITH NO RESPONSE TO THE GAS PEDAL. CAR JERKS VIOLENTLY WHILE DRIVING MAKING IT VERY DIFFICULT TO STEER AND MAINTAIN. The dealer replaced the transmission clutch under warranty. The contact stated that the failure reoccurred 6 years later. The vehicle was taken back to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the transmission clutch needed to be replaced; however, the dealer informed the contact that the vehicle could not be repaired under warranty. THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS. THEY ORIGINALLY HAD INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS WHERE THEY WOULD NOT COME ON. ORIGINALLY IT WAS ONLY HAPPENING WHEN THE COURTESY FEATURE WAS USED. TONIGHT THEY STOPPED COMING ON PERIOD. I HAVE NOT USED THE COURTESY FEATURE FOR QUITE SOME TIME SINCE I DISCOVERED THAT IT WAS CAUSING THE LOW BEAM ISSUE. AS I GOOGLE SEARCHED THE PROBLEM I AM FINDING THAT I AM NOT A LONE PROBLEM, THERE ARE OTHER PEOPLE HAVINFG THE SAME ISSUE. IT IS DEFINITELY SOMETHING THAT SOMEONE ON THE FEDERAL LEVEL SHOULD LOOK INTO. NO LOW BEAMS BUT THE HIGH BEAMS AND OTHER LIGHTS WORK PERFECTLY FINE. THE CAR WAS INITIALLY PARKED WHEN I TURNED MY LIGHTS ON AND I IMMEDIATELY DISCOVERED A LACK OF ANY LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS. DRIVING AND TRYING TO SWITCH BETWEEN LOW AND HIGH BEAM ACCOMPLISHED NOTHING AS IT APPEARS THE LOW BEAMS ARE OUT PERIOD. BULBS AND FUSES ARE ALL GOOD.

THE CAR STUTTERS UPON ACCELERATION INTERMITTENTLY. WE HAVE HAD IT IN THE SHOP TWICE AND WILL BE GOING IN ONCE AGAIN. THE CLUTCH HAS BEEN CLEANED UP AND REPLACED. IT HAS BEEN REPORTED THAT TCM'S ARE THE ISSUE. ON 2/15, MY DAUGHTER WAS STOPPED AT A LIGHT. WHEN SHE TRIED TO GO; IT STOPPED AND WOULD NOT MOVE. SHE HAD TO SHUT DOWN THE CAR TO GET IT MOVING ONCE AGAIN. THIS PROBLEM IS CONSTANTLY RETURNING.

I DID TAKE IT IN FOR THE CHECK UP BEFORE WARRANTY EXPIRED AND WAS TOLD EVERYTHING WAS OK. TODAY I WAS TOLD THAT THEY WOULDN'T HAVE SEEN THIS DURING THAT INSPECTION. BUCKS WHEN YOU TAKE OFF FROM STOP AND WHEN PULLING INTO TRAFFIC ON 101 AND IT DOES NOT GO I HAVE TO PUT INTO LOW TO GET ACROSS STREET. HAVE FRIENDS THAT WILL NOT RIDE WITH ME BECAUSE THE CAR IS UNSAFE. DEALER STATES THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE TRANSMISSIONS FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS. FORD SAYS A COMMON PROBLEM. DEALER SAYS CANNOT GET PARTS TO REPAIR FROM FORD.

PHIL LONG FORD TOOK THE CAR FOR A TEST DRIVE AND TOLD ME IT WAS NORMAL AND I WOULD HAVE TO DRIVE IT FOR AT LEAST 1000 MILES TO HAVE THE CAR 'LEARN' HOW I DRIVE. THEY SAID FORD MOTOR COMPANY WILL NOT ALLOW THEM TO DO ANYTHING UNTIL AFTER THIS HAS BEEN COMPLETED. THE CAR HAS JUMPED INTO GEAR AND ALMOST HIT THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME AT A STOPLIGHT.

I HAVE ADDRESSED THE ISSUE WITH BEYER FORD AS WELL AS THE FORD DEALER NEAR MY PARENT'S HOUSE IN PA WHERE I OFTEN TRAVEL. THE CLUTCH WAS REPLACED LAST YEAR. FORD TELLS ME THAT THE SYMPTOMS ARE 'NORMAL' AND WITH IN THE CORRECT RANGE BUT THIS IS A SERIOUS CONCERN. FOR AWHILE NOW, THE CAR CONTINUES TO JERK, SHUDDER, AND SPUTTER THROUGH GEARS AFTER A STOP. CAR NOTICEABLY VIBRATES AND THERE ARE LOUD, RATTLING AND GRINDING NOISES ASSOCIATED WITH THE ISSUE ESPECIALLY AT LOW SPEEDS. THIS IS ESPECIALLY AN ISSUE ON HILLS. THE CAR HESITATES TO PICK UP SPEED AND SEEMS TO 'CATCH' FOR A FEW SECONDS AND THEN I GET JERKED BACK AS THE CAR TRIES TO MOVE FORWARD. SOME DAYS THE CAR RUNS SMOOTHER THAN OTHERS BUT THERE IS NO RHYME OR REASON AND MORE OFTEN THAN NOT THERE ARE MAJOR ISSUES. TEMPERATURE DOES NOT SEEM TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE-IT'S ACTUALLY MORE NOTICEABLE ONCE THE CAR HAS BEEN WARMED UP AND HAS BEEN ON THE ROAD FOR AWHILE. ADDITIONALLY, THE CAR WOULD NOT START OVER THE WEEKEND. THE BATTERY WAS FINE AND THE STARTER TURNED BUT THE ENGINE WOULD NOT FIRE. EVENTUALLY THE CAR DID START, BUT THE SHAKING AND GRINDING WAS EVEN MORE NOTICEABLE THAN USUAL.
This happened back in NOV. 2016. I seen the the recall from Ford on 2.9 million cars. Although my make and model is not specifically named in the recall, it is exactly what happened to me. I went to eat at a diner and pulled in to the parking space. I put the car in park, and took my foot off the brake. When I did so, my car jumped forward on to the sidewalk and crashed into the building. This caused both myself and my mother who was 82 at the time to be thrown forward toward the dash and front windshield. It was necessary to call the EMS, Fire, and Ambulance to inspect the structure and tend to me and my mom.There was not any lights or warning when this happened. It was my first time experiencing this from the car. We had the car taken to the Body shop to repair the damages, however there was never a mechanical checks done on the vehicle (we would not have suspected the need to do that).
WENT TO START MY VEHICLE AND IT DID NOT TURN ON AT ALL. THERE IS JUST A CLICKING NOISE, SO THE STARTER IS GOOD, HOWEVER THE BATTERY WAS DEAD. I JUMPED STARTED THE CAR AND WAS ABLE TO DRIVE. MY INFORMATION SCREEN SAID, "TRANSMISSION MALFUNCTION PLEASE SERVICE NOW". THE VEHICLE WOULD RUN AT 4,000 RPMS BEFORE SHIFTING WHEN USUALLY IT'S SUPPOSED AND DID SHIFT AT 3,500 RPMS. AS I WOULD BRAKE AND BE UNDER 5MPH THE VEHICLE WOULD LURCH FORWARD AND I WOULD HAVE TO SLAM MY BRAKES IN ORDER TO MAKE A COMPLETE STOP AND AVOID HITTING THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. I TOOK IT BACK HOME AND HAVEN'T DROVE IT SINCE. TODAY I TRIED TO UNLOCK MY CAR WITH MY WIRELESS KEY FOB AND THE DOORS WOULDN'T UNLOCK. MY VEHICLE COMPLETELY LOST ALL POWER. ON THE FORD WEBSITE FOR MY SPECIFIC VEHICLE, IT SHOWS I HAVE FIELD SERVICE ACTIONS. FSA TITLE: TRANSMISSION CLUTCH SHUDDER / TRANSMISSION INPUT SHAFT SEAL WARRANTY EXTENSION. 150,000/ 10 YEAR WARRANTY. FSA TITLE: TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE EXTENDED WARRANTY COVERAGE. I HAVE LEARNED THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE CAN END UP HAVING A SHORT AND YOUR CAR CAN SHUTTER WHEN IT SHIFTS AND IT CAN LOSE ALL POWER. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND SHOULD BE ADDRESSED BY FORD AND THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION, BEFORE SOMEONE LOSES THEIR LIFE.
I BOUGHT THIS CAR USED FROM A DEALERSHIP FOR MY DAUGHTER AS A CAR FOR COLLEGE. WITH ALL OF THE COMPLAINTS ON THIS TRANSMISSION/CLUTCH WHY IS THIS NOT BEING LOOKED AT CLOSER BY FORD?
MY SONS CAR BEGAN HESITATING AND JERKING, WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE IT WOULD BOG DOWN WHEN TRYING TO GO, GETTING ON THE HIGHWAY WAS SCARY. WE TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER ON AUG 19TH THEY SAID IT WAS CLUTCH AND THEY REPLACED IT THEN CALLED AND SAID IT WAS TRANSMISSION AND THEY WOULD REPLACE THAT. WE DIDN'T CAR BACK UNTIL OCT 6 MY SON TOOK THE CAR TO WORK THE NEXT DAY, WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY THE CAR BEGAN TO WHINE AS WELL AS AN ODOR HE PULLED OFF THE HIGHWAY AND MY HUSBAND WENT AND GOT THE CAR. THE DEALER PICKED THE CAR UP FROM MY DRIVEWAY LEAVING A PUDDLE. THEY ARE TELLING ME IT IS STILL THE TRANSMISSION AND THEY ARE WAITING ON PARTS, AS OF TODAY OCT 25TH MY CAR IS STILL AT THE DEALER. *TR
THE PASSENGER DOOR CAME OPEN WHILE THE CAR WAS IN MOTION IN THE FREEWAY, THERE WAS NO PASSENGER RIDING AT THE TIME, AND THE CAR DOOR WAS LOCKED. THE LATCH CAME LOOSE. THE VEHICLE MILEAGE IS ABOUT 43,200 MILES.
CAR BEGAN HESITATING AND JERKING, WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE IT WOULD BOG DOWN WHEN TRYING TO DRIVE, GOING THROUGH INTERSECTIONS AFTER A STOP CAR WAS ALMOST HIT A NUMBER OF TIMES DUE TO CAR STALING . MY WIFE AND I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER ON OCTOBER 20TH 2015 FOR THE 4TH TIME, THEY SAID IT WAS CLUTCH AND THEY REPLACED IT THEN CALLED AND SAID IT WAS TRANSMISSION AND THEY WOULD REPLACE THAT. WE DIDN'T CAR BACK UNTIL JAN 16 2016 I TOOK THE CAR TO WORK THE NEXT DAY, WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY THE CAR BEGAN TO HESITATING AND JERKING. THE DEALER TOLD ME THE TRANSMISSION HAD TO BE TRAINED. WE TOOK THE CAR BACK OCTOBER 1ST 2016 DUE TO THE CAR STALING IN THE INTERSECTION AND ALMOST BEING HIT AGAIN THE DEALER TOLD ME THAT IT WAS THE CLUTCH AND IT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND WAS ON BACK ORDER, THEY SAID THEY DID NOT KNOW HOW LONG IT WOULD BE AND THEY ARE WAITING ON PARTS, AS OF TODAY OCTOBER 26TH 2016 MY CAR IS STILL AT THE DEALER. THIS IS A REPEAT ISSUE, I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR INTO THE DEALER A NUMBER OF TIMES AND WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS NO ISSUE WITH THE CAR. THIS TIME THEY SAID IT WAS THE CLUTCH AND WAS A "KNOWN ISSUE" THAT FORD IS NOT DOING ANYTHING ABOUT OTHER THEN WAITING UNTIL THE WARRANTY IS UP AND FORCING YOU TO EITHER DEAL WITH THE ISSUE OR BUY A NEW CAR.
