THE CAR STARTED NOT ACCELERATING WHEN GAS WAS PUSHED, DELAYED THEN CAUGHT AND JERKED LIKE TRANSMISSION WAS BAD, ALSO THE GAS MILAGE GOT WORSE AFTER OWNING A LITTLE OVER A YEAR. ALMOST HIT BY SEMI-TRUCK GETTING ON THE INTERSTATE BECAUSE CAR WOULDN'T ACCELERATE! IN TOWN, AT LIGHTS, WOULD JERK WHEN AT A STOP OR AT TAKE OFF, ALMOST CAUSING PEOPLE BEHIND OR FRONT OF ME TO HIT ME. TOOK IT TO ONE LOCAL DEALER, SAID THEY ADJUSTED THE (TCM) TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE AND IN ABOUT 1000 MILES IT WOULD BE CORRECTED AND WE SHOULD SEE BETTER GAS MILAGE AND NO JERKING OR ISSUES WITH ACCELERATION.. DIDN'T HAPPEN, TOOK TO A DIFFERENT FORD DEALER NEAR US, THEY SAID NO PARTS TO FIX IT. ONE MONTH LATER CALLED THEM BACK ABOUT PART, AND THEY SAID "NO KNOWN FIX FROM FORD AT THIS TIME". THEY SAID WE COULD JUST LEAVE THE CAR WITH THEM IF WE DIDN'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING IT, THEY WOULD ADD IT TO 3 OTHER ONES OUT BACK!!!. TOOK THE CAR BACK TO OUR ORIGINAL DEALER BOUGHT IT FROM AND THEY OFFERED NO APOLOGY AND SAID WE COULD TRADE IT ON ANOTHER ONE OF THEIR CARS.. NO THANKS. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED IN FORD... THOUGHT THEY WERE MUCH BETTER COMPANY. SAFETY APPARENTLY NOT AN ISSUE WITH THEM.. I CALLED FORD CORPORATE AND OPENED A CASE NUMBER ON THE ISSUE, ONLY TO HAVE MY CASE CLOSED WITHIN ONE DAY BECAUSE THEY DEEMED THE CAR "WITHIN WORKING PARAMETERS" AFTER SAYING THEY DISCUSSED IT WITH THE DEALERS WE TOOK IT TO FOR REPAIR. WHEN I ASKED WHAT THAT MEANT, THEY SAID COULDN'T TELL ME BECAUSE IT WAS FORD CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION!. NOW NO ONE AT FORD CORP. WILL RETURN MY CALLS, OR THE DEALER I TOOK THE CAR BACK TOO. LOST ALL CONTACT WITH FORD AT THIS POINT. SEEKING A LAWYER TO SEE OPTIONS ON HOW TO SALVAGE SOME ISSUE THAT WILL HIT MY CREDIT RATING, SINCE I BASICALLY WON'T BE MAKING PAYMENTS ON IT ANYMORE AND GAVE IT BACK TO THE DEALER. SHAME ON FORD!!!!!! SELLING CARS THEY KNOW HAVE AN ISSUE....
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
I HAVE A ACCIDENT ON 9/2/2016 AND THE CAR AIR BAGS DID NOT WORK AT ALL.. I WAS DOING 45 MILES IN THE 45 MILE ZONE ON A CURVE A DRUNK DRIVER HIT ME ON MY DRIVER SIDE. I WAS INJURY AFTER THAT WITH RIBS FRACTURE, AND OTHER.
TRANSMISSION MODULE FAILED FOR THE THIRD TIME. LURCHES, ENGINE REVS, NO POWER, FAILS TO GO. FORD PARTS ARE ON BACKORDER FOR 30 DAYS OR MORE.
2014 FORD FIESTA 1.6L WITH " POWER SHIFT " DUAL CLUTCH 6 SPEED TRANSMISSION PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE IN APRIL 2016, USED WITH 36,675 MILES FORD FACTORY CERTIFIED ( CP0 ), WITHIN 1200 MILES THE TRANSMISSION WOULD SLIP AND SHUDDER UP HILLS, DEALER PREFORMED AN ADAPTIVE RELEARN ON THE TCM, CORRECTED THE PROBLEM FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. SHUDDER AND GRINDING NOISE IN REVERSE, THEN AS WELL AS IN FORWARD GEARS HAPPENED APPROXIMATELY 3 MONTHS AND 10,00 MILES AFTER PURCHASE OF THE CAR. TOOK CAR BACK INTO DEALER AND DEALER STATED THE CLUTCHES FAILED THE REQUIRED TEST TO DETERMINE REPLACEMENT OF THE CLUTCHES AGAIN. ( CLUTCHES WERE REPLACED AT 28K MILES WITH PREVIOUS OWNER). DEALER STATED THEY WOULD ORDER THE CLUTCHES AND NOTIFY WHEN THEY ARE AVAILABLE FOR REPLACEMENT. THIS WAS AUGUST 11TH 2016 THE CAR HAD 47,268 MILES AT TIME OF SERVICE. THE DEALER NEVER ISSUED A RENTAL CAR EVEN WITH A PROBLEM AFFECTING THE TRANSMISSION WAS DETERMINED. THE INCIDENT THAT HAPPEN TODAY AUGUST 21ST 2016 THAT WARRANTED THIS COMPLAINT IS AS FOLLOWS. WHILE STOPED AT A STOP SIGN ON A RESIDENTIAL ROADWAY SHORTLY AFTER STARTING CAR, MY CAR FAILED TO SAY STOPED AND LUNGED INTO THE ROADWAY AND BROADSIDED A CAR AND THEN EVEN WITH THE BRAKES FULLY DECOMPRESSED THE CAR LURCHED FORWARD AGAIN STRIKING THE CAR AGAIN AFTER TRYING TO TURN AWAY FROM THE CAR TO PREVENT THE IMPACT. IMPACT WAS MINOR AS THE TRANSMISSION WAS CAUSING THE MOVEMENT AND MY BRAKES WERE FULLY DECOMPRESSED. THE CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT ADDRESSED THE INVOLUNTARY ENGAGEMENT OF THE TRANSMISSION CAUSING THE ISSUES OF LURCHING FORWARD WITHOUT USER INPUT. THERE IS NO OPEN RECALLS ON THIS VEHICLE. TO DATE NOTHING THAT FORD HAS DONE HAS CORRECTED THE PROBLEM PERMANENTLY AND THIS HAS CAUSED AN EXCESSIVE DEPRECIATION OF VALUE IN THIS VEHICLE. I PERSONALLY DO NOT FEEL SAFE OPERATING THIS CAR.
I JUST BOUGHT THIS CAR 7-23-16 A MONTH LATER THE AIR BAG POPPED UP AFTER I GOT GAS AND ITS BEEN ON FOR ENTIRE TIME AND ITS STILL ON NOW .
VEHICLE STALLS RANDOMLY AND DIES AT LOW SPEEDS, FORD WILL NOT ADDRESS IT AS A PART OF THEIR RECALLS, WAS TOLD I NEED TO PAY FOR ALL REPAIRS OUT OF POCKET, VERY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE ON THE HIGHWAY AND SPORADIC OCCURRENCES OF STALLING. ENGINE AND WRENCH LIGHT WILL RANDOMLY COME ON AND OFF BEFORE THE VEHICLE BEGINS STALLING. IT WILL QUITE LITERALLY SIEZE UP ON OCCASION AND NOT BE ABLE TO ACCELERATE. VEHICLE WILL ALSO RANDOMLY DIE IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING USING GEARS 2-3.
TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE HAS BEEN A RECALL ON MY CAR SINCE 3 MONTHS AFTER MY PURCHASE. EVERYTIME I TAKE THE CAR IN TO BE SERVICED THEY ALL SAY THE SAME THING "NOTHING IS WRONG" BUT I HAVE MY CARS VEHICLE HEALTH REPORTS THE PAST YEARS AND THEY ALL SAY THE RECALL IS AN ERROR MY CAR HAS LEFT ME ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD HAVING TO BE TOWED, ALSO HAD THEM SUGGEST BUYING A NEW BATTERY AFTER A YEAR IS RIDICULOUS, ALSO THE FAN MOTOR ON THE CAR HAS BEEN REPLACED 2 TIMES AND THE VEHICLE STILL OVERHEATS TODAY AS WE SPEAK. I BOUGHT THIS CAR BRAND NEW AND IT HAS BEEN A AWFUL WORRY EVERYDAY DRIVING WILL IT OVERHEAT OR IS THE TRANSMISSION GOING TO GO TODAY? I BELIEVE THIS CAR HAS BEEN A LEMON FROM THE DAY I BOUGHT IT. FORD HAS ALSO ACCEPTED THEIR PART IN THE TRANSMISSION BY OFFERING TO EXTEND THE WARRANTY FROM 36000 TO 150000. THEY KNOW THIS IS A PROBLEM. FORD IS HAVING ME TAKE MY CAR TO DEALERS ALL OVER TRYING TO GET THEM TO FIX THE TRANSMISSION ALL OF THE DEALERS SAY THE SAME THING NOTHING IS WRONG. I WOULD LIKE THE PEACE OF MIND I DESERVE FROM MY NEW CAR PURCHASE I PAY MY PAYMENT EVERY MONTH WHY CANT I HAVE THAT PEACE OF MIND? I HAVE TO LEAVE WORK EVERYTIME THEY WANT ME TO TAKE THE CAR ELSEWHERE AND I BOUGHT THIS CAR FOR PEACE OF MIND. WHY IS IT NO ONE WANTS TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. A LEMON IS A LEMON AND ANOTHER VEHICLE SHOULD BE OFFERED OR SOMETHING THIS IS NOT RIGHT. 2 YEARS OF THIS CONSTANT BATTLE OVER WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE CAR, WHY HAVE THE VEHICLE HEALTH REPORT OPTION IF YOU WANT ME TO IGNORE WHAT IT IS TELLING ME> I DON'T GET IT.
I GOT A NOTICE IN THE MAIL ABOUT THE TCM. HAD THE CLUTCH MODULE REPLACED WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR NEW. STILL SHUTTERS WHEN GOING FROM 1ST TO 2ND. ALMOST COSTED ME AN ACCIDENT WHEN PULLING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY BECAUSE IT DIDNT WANT TO ENGAGE. AFTER THIS CAR IS PAID OFF... I WILL NEVER BUY AN AMERICAN CAR AGAIN. BTW. FORD TELLS ME THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO UNTIL THE TCM FAILS COMPLETELY.
THE CAR HAS SIGNIFICANT ISSUES WITH THE TRANSMISSION, WHICH HAS BEEN RES CONFIGURED ABOUT FOUR TO FIVE TIMES. CAR VIBRATES AND HAS ISSUES WITH ACCELARATION. DEALERS WON'T DO ANYTHING BUT WARRANTIES KEEP GETTING EXTENDED BY FORD. I STARTED HAVING THE ISSUE ABOUT SIX MONTHS AFTER BUYING THE CAR AND IT KEEPS HAPPENING.
VEHICLE OVERHEATS FREQUENTLY WHILE IDLING. ENGINE COOLANT HAS BEEN CHECKED AND TOPPED OFF. FUSES HAVE BEEN REPLACED.
FRONT & REAR PASSENGER SIDE DOOR NO LONGER LATCH. I CANNOT DRIVE THE CAR. I AM SURE THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR LOCKS WILL FAIL SOON. I AM TAKING IT TO THE DEALERSHIP TOMORROW 7/29/2016 ---. CAMELBACK FORD IN PHOENIX ARIZONA. LUCKILY I NOTICED IT WHEN I GOT BACK FROM THE SUPERMARKET TODAY. THE CAR IS NOW PARKED IN MY YARD. I WILL GET IT TO THE DEALERSHIP TOMORROW. MY SON TIED THE DOORS CLOSED. I DO NOT HAVE TO GO ON THE FREEWAY TO GET TO CAMELBACK FORD.
PURCHASED CAR IN JUNE 2014 AND IN SEPTEMBER 2014 I BEGAN SEEING THE TRANSMISSION MODULE RECALL EVERY TIME I DID A VEHICLE HEALTH REPORT TOOK IT IN EVERY TIME THE REPORT CAME BACK, EVERY TIME THE FORD PLACE I BOUGHT IT SAID THEY COULD DO NONTHING TO HELP IN EARLY MARCH THE TRANSMISSION COMPLETELY QUIT AND I HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED ONLY TO HAVE THE FORD PLACE TELL ME THAT I HAD TO REPLACE THE BATTERY. THE CAR WAS BARELY 1 1/2 YEARS OLD AND SO I DID AND THEY SAID THAT I COULD KEEP BRINGING THE CAR BACK BUT FORD WOULD NOT LET THE FIX THE MODULE DUE TO WHATEVER. THEY DID EXTEND THE TRANSMISSION WARRANTY FROM 36K TO 60 K WHICH LEADS ME TO THIS POINT I HAVE HAD THE CAR BACK AT THE DEALER AT LEAST 3 MORE TIMES EACH TIME I HAVE TO LEAVE THE CAR AND IT NEVER GETS FIXED THE MILAGE IS AT 59 K NOW AND I TOOK IT TO A DIFFERENT DEALER IN ANOTHER TOWN TODAY AND THEY SAID IT WAS FIXED AND I CAME BACK TO WORK AND DID ANOTHER VEHICLE HEALTH REPORT AND IT IS STILL SHOWING AS A FACTORY RECALL I WILL UPLOAD THE REPORT TO YOU. ALSO SO THE CAR HAS HAD TO HAVE A NEW FAN PUT ON IT 2 DIFFERENT TIMES FOR OVERHEATING I CANT AFFORD TO HAVE ALL THIS WORK DONE THIS CAR HAS CAUSED ME MORE PAIN THAN I CAN DEAL WITH. I HAVE TRIED TO TRADE THE CAR AND AM UPSIDE DOWN I HAVE ONLY THIS VEHICLE AND MUST WORK AND HAVE NEVER HAD SUCH HORRIBLE LUCK WITH A NEW CAR THIS CAR IS THE MOST I HAVE EVER SPENT ALMOST $17000. THE REAR PASSANGER DOOR FLUNG OPEN WHILE WE WERE GETTING OFF THE FREEWAY. THIS IS USUALLY WHERE MY SON SITS BUT HR HAPPENED TO SIT ON THE OTHER SIDE THAT DAY. MY WIFE HELD THE DOOR CLOSED WHILE WE GOT IT HOME. IT WAS THE WEEKEND SO WE WRAPPED THE SEAT BELT AROUND THE HANDLE AND LATCHED (BUCKLED) IT TO GET IT TO THE DEALER MONDAY MORNING. IT WAS TERRIFYING. TURNS OUT THERE IS A RECALL FOR THIS EXACT PROBLEM. MY CAR WAS MANUFACTURED 2 1/2 MONTHS AFTER THE END OF THE RECALL DATES BUT IS CLEARLY HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. CALLED FORD AND THEY STATED TO CONTACT YOU, THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO. THEY GAVE #CAS-10138364 AS A CASE NUMBER AND #15S16 AS A RECALL NUMBER TO GIVE TO YOU.
DOOR LATCHES FOR PASSENGER FRONT, AND BOTH BACK DOORS HAVE FAILED. THEY HAVE CAME OPEN WHILE DRIVING, I HAD TO TIE THE BACK PASSENGER AND FRONT PASSENGER TOGETHER WITH THE SEAT BELT. THE LATCHES ARE MADE OF PLASTIC AND ARE COMPLETELY BROKEN. I HAD YOUNG CHILDREN RIDING IN THIS VEHICLE AT THE TIME. I TOOK TO FORD ON 7/22/2016, AND THEY WANTED 800+ TO FIX THE LATCHES EVEN THOUGH THERE IS AN OPEN RECALL ON THEM. THEY ALSO LET ME DRIVE MY VEHICLE AWAY IN THIS CONDITION, KNOWING IT IS UNSAFE. I ONLY HAVE 38,264 MILES ON THIS VEHICLE.
THE DOORS WILL NOT LOCK, KEEP COMING OPEN. BIG SAFETY VIOLATION. OTHER 2014 FORDS HAVE BEEN RECALLED. THIS ONE SHOULD BE INCLUDED. SHOULD BE FIXED FOR FREE. ONLY HAVE HAD VEHICLE ABOUT A YEAR AND A HALF. HAVE HAD OTHER MODEL CARS FOR 10 YEARS OR MORE. NEVER HAD THESE PROBLEMS WITH THEM. WILL NOT LOCK WHEN STATIONARY AND DOORS OPEN WHEN TURNING.
LEFT REAR PASSENGER DOOR CAME OPEN WHILE DRIVING. WILL NOT LATCH SECURELY.
PASSENGER FRONT DOOR WILL NOT LATCH CAME OPEN WHILE DRIVING AND WON'T LATCH
TRANSMISSION SHUTTERS AND STALLS WHILE DRIVING. HAS BEEN INTO DEALERSHIP FOR FIX, BUT ONLY IS TEMPORARY. SHUTTER AND STALLS ALWAYS COME BACK (PROBLEM SINCE 2014)
REAR DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR SWUNG OPEN WHEN I WAS MID-LEFT TURN ON A CITY STREET. I IMMEDIATELY PULLED OVER AND ATTEMPTED TO CLOSE DOOR. LATCH DOES NOT SEEM TO BE WORKING, DOOR WOULD NOT CLOSE/STAY CLOSED. DOOR HAD TO BE TIED AND BUNGEE-CORDED SHUT INSIDE THE CAR (THROUGH BACKSEAT). WARNING ALERT CONTINUES GOING OFF, LETTING ME KNOW REAR DOOR IS STILL OPEN.
MY VEHICLE IS A PART OF THE CLASS ACTION AGAINST THE POWER TRAIN. FORD WILL NOT PAY FOR THE COST OF THE REPAIRS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD FIESTA. WHILE TURNING 10 MPH, THE VEHICLE SPUTTERED AND HESITATED TO ACCELERATE. THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL TWICE AND THE VEHICLE OPERATED PROPERLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE DUPLICATED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
SPEAKERS IN FRONT REPLACED 5 MONTHS AGO. GETTING LOUD POPPING AND RADIO GOES SILENT. IN ORDER TO RESTART HAVE TO TURN CAR OFF AND THEN ON AGAIN. TODAY AFTER TURNING OFF TOOK 3 STARTS TO RESTART CAR ITSELF.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD FIESTA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED DIFFICULTY DRIVING UP AN INCLINE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD IMMEDIATELY ROLL BACKWARDS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION SOFTWARE NEEDED TO BE RESET. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT PROVIDED.
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE ON AN ON-RAMP (GRADUAL RIGHT HAND TURN @ APPROX. 45 MPH) THE DRIVERS DOOR LATCH FAILED AND THE DOOR OPENED. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECENT RECALL OF THIS SAME PROBLEM. FORD DEALERSHIP WANTED TO CHARGE OVER $600.00 TO REPAIR. THEY "SECURED FUNDS" FROM SOME FORD SAFETY PROGRAM AND WE WERE ONLY CHARGED $50. LESS THAN 2 MONTHS LATER THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR HAS DONE THE SAME THING AND I'M BEING TOLD IT STILL ISN'T A RECALL ITEM...

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE UPDATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. WHEN I ACCELERATE ON TAKE OFF MY CAR SHUTTERS BAD AND I NEED TO KNOW WHAT TO DO
TAKATA RECALL, I PURCHASE THIS CAR JUNE 3, 2016 AND I NOTICE THAT THERE IS A NOISE COMING FROM EITHER THE FRONT OR THE BACK WHEEL THERE IS A ROARING SOUND WHEN THE WHEELS IS TURNING. I LOOKED AT THE CAR FAX AND IT SHOWS THAT THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THIS CAR. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE CAR LOT AND THEY SAID THEY CAN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG, BUT SOMETIMES WHEN I TRY TO TAKE OFF THERE IS A ROARING SOUND AND IT HESITATE OR SOMETIMES IT WON'T I'M AFRAID THAT THIS CAR WILL CAUSE PROBLEMS WHEN DRIVING.
HI, RECENTLY I BOUGHT A 14 FORD FIESTA AND AT FIRST I LOVED IT. BUT NOW IM ALWAYS TERRIFIED TO DRIVE IT. IT HAS 40,000 MILES AND THE TRAMISSION IS MESSING UP. IT WILL NOT ACCELERATE SOMTIMES. SOMTIMES IN DANGEROUS SITUATIONS WHICH IS TERRIYING. WHEN ACCELERATING THE CAR JERKS AND STUDDERS ITS EMBARASSING AND ALSO SCARY. I LEASED THE CAR THROUGH MY BANK ON MAY 5TH 2016 WITH JUST OVER 35,000 MILES. TWO MONTHS INTO THAT THE CAR DIDN'T START AND ALL ELECTRONIC LIGHTS WERE FLICKERING. IT DISPLAYED TRANSMISSION MALFUNCTION. I TOWED THE CAR TO A BIG FORD REPAIR SHOP. THEY SAID IT NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION UPDATE AND A NEW CLUTCH. THEY TOOK CARE OF IT. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVEN (7) TIMES SINCE I GOT THE CAR MAY 2016. PRETTY MUCH EVERY FOUR MONTHS. IT IS COMPLETELY INCONVENIENT AND COSTLY. I HAVE ALSO BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE EVAP FUEL COMPONENTS. I HAVE A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON NOW AND IT NEEDS TO BE SERVICED. THE LAST TIME I GOT A TRANSMISSION UPDATE FROM FORD WAS IN MARCH 2019. MY CAR NOW BARELY HAS 66,200 MILES SO IT'S VERY DISAPPOINTING THE AMOUNT OF WORK AND TRANSMISSION ISSUES I'VE HAD TO DEAL WITH. I STILL OWE $4,800 ON THE CAR. I LEASED IT FOR $12,000. I AM HOPING I AM ABLE TO GET SOME HELP OR SOME KIND OF COMPENSATION FOR DEALING WITH THE ISSUES FOR YEARS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE CONTINUED TO OCCUR INTERMITTENTLY. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 24,000.
TRANSMISSION MALFUNCTION. I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE BRAND NEW IN FEBRUARY 2014, SEVERAL MONTHS LATER I NOTICED THE VEHICLE WOULD SHUDDER, SHAKE AND JERK WHEN TAKING OFF FROM A STOP LIGHT OR SIMPLY SLOWING DOWN AND SPEEDING UP. FORD DEALERSHIP SAID IT WAS DUE TO THE COMPUTER "LEARNING HOW I DRIVE". I GAVE IT SOME TIME AND EVEN TRAVELED CROSS COUNTRY FROM AZ TO NC AND HAD PROBLEMS THE WHOLE WAY. IN 2015, I FINALLY HAD IT WITH HOW DANGEROUS IT WAS BECOMING TO DRIVE AND TOOK IT IN TO COMPLAIN AGAIN. THIS TIME THEY SAID IT WAS DUE TO A LEAKING CLUTCH WHICH THEY REPLACED IN A FEW DAYS. ABOUT 6 MONTHS LATER THE PROBLEM BEGAN TO OCCUR AGAIN AND I TOOK IT IN TO FORD FOR TESTING AGAIN. THEY SAID THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE CLUTCH AND IT WOULD TAKE A COUPLE MONTHS TO GET THE NEW CLUTCH IN. IT IS NOW MARCH 2016 AND TODAY, AN HOUR AWAY FROM HOME, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY LOST SPEED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DRIVE WITH VEHICLES ALL AROUND, THE DASHBOARD CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON ALONG WITH A NOTIFICATION THAT SAID THE TRANSMISSION HAD MALFUNCTIONED AND NEEDED TO BE SERVICED NOW. I IMMEDIATELY DROVE STRAIGHT TO THE NEAREST FORD WITH HAZARDS LIGHTS ON AS THE VEHICLE COULD NOT MAINTAIN ITS SPEED. I AM TIRED OF ALL THESE PROBLEMS WITH THIS CAR IT IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE.
MY CAR NEVER ACCELERATED RELIABLY, ESPECIALLY IN LOWER GEARS. THE TRANSMISSION WOULD CONSTANTLY SHAKE AND SHUDDER. MY WIFE FINALLY REFUSED TO DRIVE IT ANYMORE AFTER THE CAR REPEATEDLY RESPONDED EXCEEDINGLY SLOW TO HER PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL WHEN TRYING TO CROSS TRAFFIC. SHE WOULD BE STOPPED, WAITING TO CROSS TRAFFIC. WHEN THERE WAS A LONG BREAK IN TRAFFIC, SHE'D PRESS THE GAS AND CAR WOULD CRAWL AHEAD MUCH MORE SLOWLY THAN YOU'D EXPECT WITH HOW FAR SHE PRESSED THE GAS PEDAL. ONCOMING TRAFFIC WOULD THEN CATCH UP TO HER AND HAVE TO SLOW DOWN UNTIL THE CAR EVENTUALLY MADE IT ACROSS. THIS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES WHEN I OWNED THE CAR. THE DATE I NOTE IN THE "WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN" FIELD REPRESENTS THE DATE I HAD THE FIRST CLUTCH REPAIR DONE ON THE CAR (AT 18,756 MILES).
MY FORD FIESTA 2014 HAS A RECALL WITH THE MODULE VALVE. AT PRESENT I TOOK IT INTO THE SHOP 3 DIFFERENT TIMES. 1) RICHMOND HIGHWAY 2/2014 2) 9/2015 AND 3) 3/2016 AT PRESENT MY CAR HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP FOR 10 WEEKS
CAR IS 2 YEARS OLD EXACTLY, TRANSMISSION NO LONGER WORKING, ONLY 20,000 MILES ON CAR. WILL ACCELERATE ON OWN WHEN COMING TO A STOP SIGN OR RED LIGHT, WILL GRIND, CRANK AND CRUNCH WHEN SHIFTING GEARS ALL THE WHILE JOLTING WHEN SHIFTING GEARS. HAVE BEEN JOLTED INTO A CROSSWALK WHEN PRESSING ON THE BREAKS DUE TO THE CAR DOWNSHIFTING. IS NOT SAFE AT ALL TO DRIVE WITH CHILDREN IN THE CAR DUE TO THE UNPREDICTABILITY OF THE TRANSMISSION.
TRANSMISSIONS IS FAULTY. CAR SHAKES, SHUDDERS, AND HESITATES DURING SHIFT CHANGE AS WELL AS BRAKING. FORD IS AWARE OF NATIONWIDE PROBLEM. THEY ARE REPLACING PART WITH SAME FAULTY PART.
I PURCHASED A 2014 FIESTA WITH 17K MILES IN JANUARY 2016. SO FAR IT HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP LONGER THAN I HAVE OWNED IT. 2 WEEKS FOR THEM TO REPROGRAM THE TCM, REPLACE A FAULTY SEATBELT, AND REPLACE BLOWN SPEAKERS. NO LOANER. NOW THE CLUTCHES HAVE FAILED. THEY PUT ME IN A LOANER TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM AND NOW WANT ME TO RETURN THE LOANER AND DRIVE MY CAR WITH NO CLUTCH WHILE THEY WAIT FOR PARTS. I HAVE REFUSED TO RETURN THE LOANER UNTIL MY CAR IS FIXED. I'VE ESCALTED IT ALL THE WAY UP TO CORPORATE AND NO ONE WILL HELP ME OR GET BACK TO ME. EVERY CAR PAYMENT I HAVE MADE HAS BEEN WHEN I DO NOT HAVE THE CAR TO DRIVE. I'M GETTING REALLY FRUSTRATED. 20 DAYS IN SERVICE NOW. THIS CAR IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE WITH A BROKEN CLUTCH. IT ACCELERATES ERRATICALLY AND WILL NOT GO UPHILL WITHOUT SHAKING VIOLENTLY. IT IS DANGEROUS TO MYSELF AND OTHERS BUT FORD IS TOO CHEAP TO PAY FOR A LOANER AND MY SAFETY IS OF NO CONCERN TO THEM.
THE FIRST TIME WAS BEFORE MARIA TOOK THE CAR TO THE FORD OF CAROLINA IN PUERTO RICO. I WAS INFORMED TO CALL A NUMBER THAT WAS IN THE LETTER. I CALLED AND I NEVER GOT MY PHONE ANSWERED. THEN AFTER MARIA (THE HURRICANE) THEY WERE NOT TENDING TO ANYONE AND THERE WAS A ROLE LETTING US KNOW THAT I COULD GO TO FORD DE FAJARDO, FORD DE PONCE, FORD OF KENNEDY AVENUE OR THE FORD DE CAGUAS. FOR MY CONDITION, IT WAS PERTINENT TO BE CARED FOR IN CAROLINA. AFTER THAT DAY THEY CLOSED TRADES AND LEFT (SO AS NOT TO SERVE ANYONE). THEN 2 LETTERS ARRIVED AND INFORMED ME THAT I HAD TO WAIT FOR A THIRD LETTER TO ARRIVEN THE INFORMATION OF PROCEED TO REPAIR THE DOORS THAT OPEN WHEN THE CARRIAGE IS BEING DRIVEN FROM THE INSIDE OUT.
MY MOTHER IN LAW AND I BOTH OWN A FORD FIESTA AND A FORD FOCUS.. MINE BOUGHT BRAND NEW IN 2014 AND HERS USED BUT GENTLY USED AND WE'VE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THEM SINCE WE BOUGHT THEM. EVERY TIME THEY RESET THE COMPUTERS AND WE CONTINUALLY HAVE TO TAKE THEM BACK IN.. EVEN WHEN THE TRANSMISSION LIGHT LIGHTS UP, ALL THEY DO IS RESET THE COMPUTERS. THE LAST TIME I TOOK MY FIESTA IN, IT WAS STILL SHAKING WHEN I DROVE IT TO CHECK ON IT. THE MAN AT FORD TOLD ME THAT THEY ALL DO THAT AND IT'S NORMAL. A FEW DAYS LATER, I HAD TO TAKE IT BACK IN BECAUSE IT STALLED. WHEN IT FINALLY STARTED, WHEN I PUT IT INTO DRIVE, IT REVERSED AND WOULD NOT DRIVE FORWARD. WE TOOK IT TO FORD, THEY RESET IT AND BLAMED IT ON THE COMPUTERS. A FEW DAYS LATER, THE TRANSMISSION LIGHT LIGHTED UP AND IT STALLED ON MY HUSBAND. I NEED A SOLUTION TO THIS ISSUE BECAUSE THEY KEEP SENDING US HOME WITHOUT FIXING IT. WHAT SHOULD WE DO?
BACK PASSANGER DOOR OPENED WHILE DRIVING AND WILL NOT LATCH CLOSED. CALLED FORD AND EVEN THOUGH THERE IS A RECALL ON THIS MATTER WITH MY MAKE MODEL AND YEAR, MY CAR IS NOT INCLUDED AND THEY WANT OVER 500.00 TO FIX. ON TOP OF THIS MY CAR TRIES TO STALL EVERYTIME I GO TO EXCELERATE FROM A STOP AND ALSO WHEN IT GOES FROM 1ST TO 2ND GEARS. I WAS TOLD WHEN PURCHASED THAT IT WAS ME NOT HITTING THE GAS HARD ENOUGH, HOWEVER I DO NOT FIND THIS IS THE CASE
THE CAR IS HAVING ACCELERATION ISSUE. YOU NEED TO PRESS HEAVY ON THE GAS FOR IT TO MOVE FROM STOP POSITION OR ON A SLIGHT SLOPE. WHEN DRIVING THE CAR AT TIMES WILL JERK WHEN YOU TRY TO SPEED UP ON THE HIGHWAY TO MERGE LANES. THE RPM AT TIMES WILL JUMP. THE ISSUE IS A SAFETY CONCERN ESPECIALLY ON THE HIGHWAY. TODAY THE CAR WOULD NOT GO UP A SLOPE. THE STARTED TO ROLL BACK. THIS IS A REAL ISSUE WHEN THERE IS SNOW. I'M SCARED TO DRIVE THE CAR. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEAL SHIP 2 TIMES NOW. LAST TIME I TOOK IT THEY NOTED THAT NO FAULT FOUND AT THIS TIME.. SO I GUESS NOTHING WAS FIXED. I NOTICED THE ISSUE WITHIN THE 1ST YEAR AND THE DEAL SHIP SAID THE NEEDS AT LEAST 20KM AND COMPUTER SYSTEM WILL KICK IN OR SOMETHING TO THAT FACT.

HAVE ALMOST HIT OTHER VEHICLES WHEN IT DISENGAGES OR WON'T ENGAGE AS IT SHOULD. TRANSMISSION QUIT PULLING ON A GRADE ON BUSY INTERSTATE AND HAD TO BE TOWED. ASTORG FORD IN PARKERSBURG WV,WHERE I BOUGHT IT NEW , WORKED ON IT AND SAID THEY WOULD REIMBURSE ME FOR MY EXPENSES. NEVER GOT REIMBURSED. RECENTLY TOOK CAR BACK TO ASTORG FOR ONGOING TRANSMISSION ISSUES AND WAS TOLD BY JAMES SCIENCE, SERVICE MANAGER, THAT THEIR COMPUTER SHOWED IT TO BE IN SPECS AND THAT SOMEHOW THE WAY I WAS DRIVING WAS CAUSING THE PROBLEMS?? FORD HAS EXTENDED THE WARRANTY BUT HAS NO FIX FOR THIS FAULTY ,UNSAFE TRANSMISSION. FORD VEHICLES WITH THESE TRANSMISSIONS SHOULD BE RECALLED BEFORE THE INEVITABLE INJURY OR DEATH OCCURS CAUSED BY THEIR FAULTY ENGINEERING DESIGN.
STEERING WHEEL BECAME STUCK WHILE DRIVING. POWER STEERING ALARM TURNED ON. THEN IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO STEER THE CAR. I BRING THE CAR TO THE DEALER FOR SERVICE. PARTS OF THE POWER STEERING SYSTEM WERE REPLACED. BUT MY LIFE WAS AT RISK WHILE DRIVING WITH A STUCK STEERING WHEEL.
TAKATA RECALL : THE TRANSMISSION ISSUE MAKES MY CAR FEEL UNSAFE. AT RANDOM AND QUITE OFTEN WHILE DRIVING, MY CAR'S TRANSMISSION WILL TREMBLE AND SHAKE WHICH DISABLES ME FROM DRIVING AT THE CORRECT SPEED. MERGING ONTO HIGHWAYS CAN BE QUITE DANGEROUS BECAUSE I CANNOT SPEED UP CORRECTLY WITH THIS TRANSMISSION ISSUE. THE ISSUE WITH THE TRANSMISSION IS WITH TURNING, WITH OUT TURNING, WITH SPEEDING UP, FROM STOP GOING INTO MOTION, AND IT INCLUDES BOTH CITY STREET AND HIGHWAY. IT HAS BEEN AN ONGOING ISSUE. I HAVE TAKEN IT INTO THE DEALER WITH NO IMPROVEMENT AND AM TAKING IT BACK AGAIN. THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING SINCE I PURCHASED IT BRAND NEW, AND FEELS LIKE IT HAS GOTTEN WORSE. I NO LONGER FEEL SAFE NOR CAN TOLERATE THESE ISSUES.

BUT NOW I RELEASE WHY THE OWNER TRADED THE CAR IN, AFTER YOU DRIVE IT FOR A FEW HOURS THE TRANSMISSION REALLY ACTS UP.... I HAVE ALMOST BEEN HIT FROM THE REAR TWICE NOW WHILE DRIVING IT, CAUSE IN FIRST AND SECOND GEAR THE CAR SHAKES LIKE THE WHOLE FRONT END IS FALLING APART, AND WILL NOT TAKE OFF FOR A FEW SECONDS WHILE DOING THAT. SO WITH THIS CAR YOU HAVE TO MAKE SURE NOTHING IS COMING FOR A LONG WAYS BEFORE YOU PULL OUT, CAUSE IF YOU THINK YOU CAN PULL OUT IN A HURRY FORGET IT CAUSE YOUR SHAKE ALL OVER IN THIS CAR, AND SHUDDER BEFORE IT ENGAGES TO TAKE OFF.... I WAS DRIVING MY CAR ON A CITY STREET GOING THROUGH AN INTERSECTION WHEN ANOTHER CAR THAT I DID NOT SEE OR EXPECT RAN A RED LIGHT SLAMMING INTO REAR PASSENGER SIDE DOOR OF MY CAR. THE DOOR HAD TO BE REPLACED BECAUSE OF DAMAGE. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THE SIDE AIRBAG DIDN'T DEPLOY AFTER SUCH A SEVERE IMPACT?
VEHICLE SHUDDERS AT SHIFT POINTS, SOMETIMES VIOLENTLY. PROBLEM IS INTERMITTENT, AND USUALLY ONLY WHEN THE VEHICLE IS WARMED UP. SOMETIMES TAKES SEVERAL SECONDS TO ACTUALLY SHIFT INTO A GEAR. USUALLY OCCURS AT 10-15 MPH, AND/OR 20 - 25 MPH. I HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE IN THREE TIMES TO HAVE THIS CHECKED; FIRST TIME THEY WERE UNABLE TO DETECT ANYTHING WRONG. SECOND TIME THEY SAID IT WAS A WARRANTY ISSUE AND RESET THE TCM; BUT IT ONLY GOT WORSE FROM THERE. LAST TIME I TOOK IT IN, THEY SAID IT WAS WITHIN RANGE BUT I DON'T THINK IT WAS SUFFICIENTLY WARMED UP FOR THEM TO HAVE PROPERLY TESTED IT. STILL SHIMMIES AND RUMBLES AT SHIFT POINTS ONCE IT'S WARMED. DATE OF MOST RECENT SERVICE AT THE FORD DEALER IS ENTERED BELOW.
