ON 12/31/2015 WHILE TRAVELING IN THE FAST LANE ON A BUSY CROWDED HIGHWAY IN THE POURING RAIN WITH MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS ON HIGH, ALL OF A SUDDEN POOF THEY STOPPED WORKING. THEY WOULD NOT COME BACK ON. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER (MIZZELL FORD-WAYNESBORO, GA) ON 1/04/2016 TO HAVE IT REPAIRED. ONE OF THE WIRES HAD COME LOOSE OR DISCONNECTED FROM THE HARNESS THAT CONTROLS THE WIPERS. THEY REPAIRED THE WIRE AND RELOCATED THE HARNESS. MY CONCERN IS THIS BEING AN EXTREME SAFETY ISSUE. I WAS FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO REALIZE IMMEDIATELY WHAT HAD HAPPENED AND WAS IN A SPOT WHERE I COULD ROLL DOWN THE DRIVER WINDOW WHILE BEING SOAKED TO PULL SAFELY OFF THE HIGHWAY. SOME OTHERS THAT THIS HAS OR WILL HAPPEN TO MAY NOT BE AS FORTUNATE RESULTING IN A DEADLY ACCIDENT. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR REVIEWING MY CONCERNS. *TR
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SHIFTS TO A MANUAL TRANSMISSION FUNCTION WITHIN 30 SECONDS OF UP HILL HOLDING FUNCTION AND ROLLS BACK INTO OTHER CARS. THIS HAS OCCURED ON MY CAR AFTER THE RECENT FORD FIX TO THEIR TRANSMISSION DESIGN THAT FIXED THE ROUGH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SHIFTING ON THE ORIGINAL DESIGN. THE SEQUENCE IS: COME TO A STOP AT A STOP LIGHT ON A HILL, CAR HOLDS THE NORMAL AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FUNCTION OF HOLDING THE CAR'S POSITION, BUT WITHIN 30 SECONDS THE TRANSMISSION ASSUMES A MANUAL TRANSMISSION FUNCTION AND BEGANS TO ROLL BACKWARDS INTO THE CAR BEHIND YOU. TOOK THE CAR TO THE FORD GARAGE (GILLIS AUTO CENTER, SHELTON, WA 98584) WAS TOLD THAT THIS WAS A FORD DESIGN (DEFICIENCY) AND THERE WAS NOTHING THAT THEY COULD DO TO FIX IT. THERE IS NO SAFETY NOTICE PUT OUT BY FORD ON THE PROBLEM.
ALLOW ME TO BE #100 FOR COMPLAINTS ON THE 2014 FORD FIESTA!! MAYBE AFTER 100 COMPLAINTS FORD MOTOR COMPANY WILL DO SOMETHING TO HELP US ALL !! PURCHASED THE NEW 2014 FORD FIESTA IN AUGUST 2014. BY THE TIME I WENT IN FOR MY FIRST OIL CHANGE I WAS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE CAR SHAKING, JERKING, SLIPPING, SHUDDERING UPON LIGHT ACCELERATION ON GAS FROM A COMPLETE STOP. THEN THE CAR IS SLOW TO GAIN SPEED TO KEEP UP WITH TRAFFIC. I'VE EXPRESSED MY COMPLAINT/PROBLEM WITH THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN AT THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED THE CAR AND HE SAID IT'S NORMAL, PEOPLE COMPLAIN ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE ALL THE TIME AND THERE'S NOTHING THEY CAN DO ABOUT IT. AS OF TODAY'S DATE THE PROBLEM STILL EXIST, I'VE BEEN BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP WITH THE SAME COMPLAINT AND NOTHING HAS EVER BEEN RESOLVED. AND I CAN TELL IT'S GETTING WORSE EVERYDAY. THIS IS MY ONLY TRANSPORTATION.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD FIESTA. WHILE DRIVING IN A PARKING LOT AND ATTEMPTING TO SHIFT GEARS, THE GEAR FAILED TO ENGAGE AND THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE. THE FAILURE RECURRED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE CLUTCH WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 6,000.
MY CAR HAS HAD A SHIMMY/SHAKING AT 20-30 MPH. I WAS TOLD IT WAS THE COMPUTER NEEDING RESET NUMEROUS TIMES. THE CAR, MONTHS LATER, WENT IN FOR A NEW CLUTCH AND THEN IT STARTED TO CUT OUT AT 30 MPH AND ENGINE LIGHT CAME ONE. I WAS TOLD 3 DIFFERENT THINGS THAT MIGHT BE WRONG. THE CAR CUT OUT GOING UP STATE ST. IN TOWN GOING ABOUT 30 MPH. CARS BEEPING AND GOING AROUND ME. WAS SCAREY. TOOK CAR BACK TO DEALERSHIP AND HAS BEEN THERE SINCE NOVEMBER 27, 2015. I HAVE NO CAR AND NO OPTIONS SINCE CAR IS A YEAR OLD. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE.
HAVE HAD MY CAR REPAIRED 5 TIMES FOR TRANSMISSION (CLUTCH) ISSUES. INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO: LUNGING INTO INTERSECTIONS WHEN TRANSMISSION ENGAGES, NOT RESPONSIVE AT TAKE OFF. CHUGGING AT TAKE OFF, MISSED SHIFTS. CAR HAS LESS THAN 31,000 MILES
TRANSMISSION HESITATES AND SHUDDERS WHEN ACCELERATING FROM STOP OR AT LOW SPEEDS. HAS DONE THIS ON THE STREET WHEN LEAVING A STOP SIGN, WHEN ACCELERATING/TURNING INTO A BUSY STREET FROM A PARKING LOT, AND ALSO WHILE GOING ABOUT 15MPH (SLOWED DOWN FOR CAR AHEAD OF ME TO TURN, THEN AS I ACCELERATED I GOT THE SHUDDERING FEELING).
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD FIESTA. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED UNDER AN EXTENDED MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY WHERE THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE WAS REPROGRAMMED AND THE CLUTCH WAS REPLACED. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED AND ATTEMPTED TO ACCELERATE, IT WOULD NOT ACCELERATE PAST 10 MPH AFTER THE ENGINE MANAGEMENT SERVICE NOW WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 45,000.
CAR SHAKES AND SHUTTERS VIOLENTLY WHILE ACCELERATING. HAPPENS ALL THE TIME.
TRANSMISSION SHUTTERS ON ACCELL, ITS JERS AND SLIPS WHEN GOING UP HILLS AND WHEN GOING INTO PARK, IT BUCKS WHEN DRIVING AND RECENTLY STARTED SWEARING OUT OF OF CONTROL.... MOST BUCKING AND SHUTTERS WHEN ACELLING OR MERGING INTO TRAFFIC...IT BUCKS MOST WHEN STOP AND THEN MAKING A TURN
MY TRANSMISSION IS BAD. THE CLUTCH PART IS NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. I AM UNABLE TO ACCELERATE PROPERLY. I HAVE TO MAKE SURE THERE IS A LONG GAP TO PULL OUT IN FRONT OF ANYBODY BECAUSE IT TAKES THAT LONG FOR ME TO ACCELERATE TO THE SPEED LIMIT. AS WELL, WHEN I DO PRESS DOWN TO ACCELERATE, THE CAR WILL STALL AND I HAVE AN AUTOMATIC CAR.
ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC ON SPAN LEADING TO THE GW BRIDGE-MESSAGE STATED TRANSMISSION HOT, TURN OFF VEHICLE FOR 6 MINUTES. SECOND MESSAGE WAS "STOP OR SPEED-UP" I HAD TO NAVIGATE THE CAR TO THE SHOULDER IN RUSH HOUR AND TURN THE CAR OFF. I CALLED THE DEALER SINCE IT HAD BEEN SERVICED A LITTLE OVER A WEEK AGO. THEY WERE SUPPOSE TO ADDRESS THE RECALL ITEMS AND REPORTED TRANSMISSION PROBLEM OF EXCESSIVE VIBRATION OF THE TRANSMISSION. VERY DANGEROUS!!!!!
I WAS DRIVING AT ABOUT 35 MILES AN HOUR WHEN A PERSON MADE AN ILLEGAL U TURN IN FRONT OF ME. THE IMPACT WAS IN THE DEAD CENTER OF MY CAR. THE AIR BAG AT MY FEET DEPLOYED BUT THE ONE IN THE STEERING WHEEL DID NOT. I HAD SEVERE BRUISING FROM THE IMPACT WITH THE STEERING WHEEL AND THE SEAT BELT. I HAVE PICTURES OF THE IMPACT AND THE LOWER AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT WITHOUT THE STEERING WHEEL AIR BAG.
THE CAR HAS 17250 MILES ON IT. I HAVE BEEN HAVING TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS. SHUDDERING, SHAKING, JERKING, JOLTING, SUDDEN OR DELAYED ACCELERATION HAVE ALL BEEN PROBLEMS. LOW SPEEDS SEEM TO BE AN ISSUE WITH IT. IT SEEMS TO SHUDDER IN BETWEEN 1ST AND 2ND GEARS. I ALSO HAVE HAD IT STALL WHILE IN REVERSE. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP, THEY ARE AWARE OF THE ISSUE, HAVE HAD MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS, AND SAID THEY WOULD REPROGRAM THE SOFTWARE TO MAKE THE SHIFT CHANGES MORE SMOOTH. IT IS STILL EXHIBITING THE SAME ISSUES. HARSH SHUDDERING, GEARS SLIPPING, CLICKING AND NOISES. IT'S JUST A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE THIS VEHICLE KILLS SOMEONE. I WASN'T TOLD THAT THIS CAR WOULD OPERATE ANY DIFFERENTLY THAN ANY OTHER CAR. THE DEALERSHIP SAYS THAT ALL OF THESE SYMPTOMS ARE 'NORMAL' FOR THE KIND OF TRANSMISSION THAT THEY SOLD ME AND THAT IT'S STILL SAFE TO DRIVE. EVEN WHEN I TOOK IT IN TO GET REPROGRAMMED FOR THE SHUDDERING, THE TECHNICIAN SAID THAT "IT'S STILL GOING TO DO IT." WHAT?! IT WASN'T DOING IT BEFORE AND NOW YOU WANT ME TO DEAL WITH A SHUDDERING VEHICLE? AND YOU SAY YOU STILL CAN'T FIX IT? THAT'S TERRIBLE. I'VE OWNED FORD'S ALL MY LIFE AND THIS IS MY FIRST NEW CAR AND I FEEL LIKE I'VE MADE A TERRIBLE DECISION AND IT'S BARELY GOT 20,000 MILES ON IT. MORE IMPORTANTLY, THE SAFETY. I'VE HAD MORE THAN ONE CLOSE CALL WITH TRYING TO ACCELERATE AND THE TRANSMISSION NOT RESPONDING IN ENOUGH TIME TO GET OUT OF THE WAY. OPERATES UNLIKE ANY OTHER VEHICLE I'VE OWNED AND NOT IN A GOOD WAY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD FIESTA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED BUT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE. THE VEHICLE SHOOK VIOLENTLY AND JERKED FORWARD WITHOUT WARNING. WHILE THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED ON AN INCLINE, THE VEHICLE DRIFTED BACKWARDS AND CRASHED INTO A TREE. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CLUTCH FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 18,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
THE TRANSMISSION CAUSED THE CAR TO REV UP WHILE DRIVING OR TO JERK AS IF THE VEHICLE IS ABOUT TO STALL. *TR
VEHICLE SHUDDERS VIOLENTLY ON ACCELERATION. MULTIPLE REPROGRAMMING OF PCM/ TCM.
IN SEPTEMBER OF 2015 I WAS SITTING IN MY FORD FIESTA (18K) ENGINE RUNNING AND IN PARK AND ALL THE LIGHTS CAME ON THE DASH AND THE CAR SHUT OFF. I TRIED TO START THE CAR BY PUSHING THE PUSH TO START AND THE FIRST TIME IT DID NOT WORK BUT THE SECOND TIME THE CAR STARTED AND I WAS ON MY WAY. IN OCTOBER 2015 I WAS DRIVING BACK FROM A JOB INTERVIEW AND DOING 40 MPH ON A TWO LANE ROAD. I WAS GOING TO MAKE A SWEEPING RIGHT TURN AND THE CAR SHUT COMPLETELY OFF CAUSING THE STEERING WHEEL TO LOCK. I LOST CONTROL AS I COULD NOT TURN THE CAR WENT ACROSS A LANE OF TRAFFIC AND HIT A CURB AT ABOUT 30 MPH. MAJOR FRONT RIGHT DAMAGE. I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE CAR ABOUT 5 MILES TO THE LOCAL FORD DEALER. THEY INTERVIEWED ME TWICE ON WHAT HAPPENED (STATING THAT THEY BELIEVED MY ACCOUNT OF WHAT HAPPENED) AND GAVE ME A CAR TO DRIVE WHILE FORD CORP. WAS INVESTIGATING. FORD CAME BACK AND SAID THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR AND THAT THERE WERE NO CODES BUT THE TRANSMISSION CODE(A KNOWN PROBLEM) I STATED THAT THERE WOULD NOT BE ANY CODES IF THE IGNITION SHUT OFF BUT MY COMPLAINTS FELL ON DEATH EARS AS THE DEALER SAID THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO SINCE FORD CORP MADE THEIR DECISION. I STATED THAT I DID NOT WANT THE CAR BACK (IT WAS A LEASE) THAT I WOULD NOT DRIVE A CAR THAT FORD COULD NOT ASSURE ME THAT THIS PROBLEM WOULD NOT HAPPEN AGAIN. FORD KNOWS THEY HAVE MAJOR PROBLEMS WITH THE FIESTA THAT IS WHY THEY ARE WILLING TO GIVE YOU EXTRA INCENTIVE $$ TO LEASE SOMETHING ELSE. IN THE END I HAD TO PAY 4K FOR THE REPAIR AND I WAS 5K UPSIDE DOWN ON THE TRADE (WHICH I APPLIED TO THE NEW LEASE). FORD CORP DID NOT STAND BEHIND THE PRODUCT NOR DID THEY OFFER TO HELP IN ANYWAY. I DID LEASE A FORD FOCUS BECAUSE I HAD TO HAVE A CAR AND DID NOT HAVE 9K TO WALK AWAY FROM FORD MOTOR COMPANY.THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. DO NOT BUY A FORD FIESTA. *JS

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CLUTCH ASSEMBLY, FUEL ASSEMBLY, PLATE CYLINDER, CYLINDER ASSEMBLY, AND TRANSMISSION FLUID NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 7,000.
TRACTION CONTROL RANDOMLY TURNS ON AND OFF. DEALERSHIP "UNABLE TO RECREATE THE PROBLEM" TOLD ME NOT TO WORRY ABOUT IT
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD FIESTA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HORN DID NOT SOUND. THE DEALER STATED THAT NOTHING COULD BE DONE UNLESS THE FAILURE WAS DUPLICATED. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON THE WAY BACK HOME. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE WAS NOT REMEDIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12,270.
PROBLEM IS THE TRANSMISSION FAILED TO ENGAGE WHEN I PRESSED ON THE GAS PETAL TO GO, IT TOOK ALMOST A FULL SECOND AFTER PRESSING THE ACCELERATOR, I WOULD ESTIMATE, BEFORE THE TRANSMISSION WOULD ENGAGE INTO 1ST GEAR. I HAVE HAD IT HAPPEN BEFORE TO A LESSER EXTENT, ALL RANDOMLY, SO I NEVER KNOW WHEN IT WILL OR WON'T GO WHEN I PRESS ON THE GAS PETAL. VERY DANGEROUS IF YOU NEED TO CROSS TRAFFIC AND THE CAR JUST SITS THERE THEN DECIDES TO SHOOT YOU OUT INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC. I ALSO HAD PROBLEMS WITH SHUDDERING AT LOW SPEEDS, AND HARD SHIFTING FROM 4TH TO 5TH GEAR.
I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE NEW IN 12/2014. WHEN PURCHASING, IT WAS REPRESENTED AS HAVING AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. THE WINDOW STICKER ALSO IDENTIFIES AS AN AUTOMATIC TRANS. THE CAR HESITATES WHEN STARTING FROM A STOP POSITON. SHIFTING IS IRREGULAR AND THE ENGINE RACES BETWEEN VARIOUS SHIFTS, I.E. OFTEN BETWEEN FIRST AND SECOND SHIFT. DURING THIS PERIOD, I LOOSE COMPLETE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. WHEN DRIVING A HIGHER SPEEDS ABOVE 40 MILES/HOUR, WHEN DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR, IT WILL NOT DOWN SHIFT FOR MORE POWER ACCELERATION. WHEN STARTING FROM A STOPPED POSITION, THERE IS LIKE A GRINDING NOISE. I HAVE TAKE THIS VEHICLE TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP ON 4 SEPARATE OCCASIONS TO WHICH THEY TESTED THE COMPUTER AND TRANSMISSION AND DISMISS MY COMPLAINT. THE SERVICE REPRESENTATIVES SAY THAT THIS IS NOT AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION BUT INSTEAD A MANUAL SHIFT TRANS. AND THIS IS WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT. THE PERFORMANCE OF THE TRANSMISSION IS NOT PREDICABLE AND I FIND MYSELF ON GUARD HAVING TO CONSTANTLY BE CAUTIOUS OF UNEXPECTED PERFORMANCE SUCH AS HESITATION AND DELAYED RESPONSES.
CLUTCH FAILS TO CATCH PROPERLY WHEN CHANGING GEARS. SOMETIMES WHEN DOWNSHIFTING, IT WILL GO INTO NEUTRAL FOR A SECOND OR TWO, THEN CATCH AT A HIGH RPM CAUSING A SUDDEN LURCH FORWARD POTENTIALLY CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. WHEN IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC, OR COMING TO A RED LIGHT TURNING GREEN, THE BRAKING AND ACCELERATING PATTERN CONFUSES THE TRANSMISSION, OFTEN GUESSING THE WRONG GEAR TO SHIFT INTO, EXACERBATING THE AFOREMENTIONED ISSUE. PARTICULARLY WHEN SLOWING DOWN FOR TURNS, AND THEN ACCELERATING DURING OR AFTER THE TURN, THE GEARS WILL GRIND AND FAILS TO PROPERLY TRANSMIT ADEQUATE POWER, CAUSING POTENTIALLY CAUSING A T-BONE ACCIDENT WHEN DOING A LEFT TURN OR CAUSING A REAR END ACCIDENT WHEN TURNING RIGHT ONTO TRAFFIC. WHEN CHANGING FROM FORWARD INTO REVERSE, THE CLUTCH FAILS TO CATCH FOR A SECOND OR TWO, AND WHEN IT CATCHES AT A HIGH RPM FOR BEING IN NEUTRAL SO LONG, IT CAUSES A SUDDEN JOLT BACKWARDS, POTENTIALLY CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. AT LOWER SPEEDS (<20 MPH) THE GEARS GRIND WHEN SHIFTING, ESPECIALLY WHEN TURNING. THIS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE ABOUT A YEAR AFTER BUYING THE CAR, WITHIN 20000 MILES. THE ISSUE HAS ONLY GOTTEN PROGRESSIVELY WORSE.
LEFT BLINKER STOPPED WORKING, OUTSIDE SIGNAL WILL NOT LIGHT UP AND INSIDE BLINKING ARROW BLINKING VERY FAST AND LOUD. AFTER TURNING VEHICLE OFF AND ON AGAIN, BLINK WORKS AGAIN, WILL SWITCH FROM WORKING TO NOT. DEALERSHIP COULDN'T "REPLICATE" ISSUE, SO NOTHING WAS FIXED.

THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE DEALER WAS ALSO MADE AWARE OF THE DELAY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. IN ADDITION, WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, THE REAR DRIVER SIDE DOOR OPENED INDEPENDENTLY WITHOUT WARNING. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 20,000.

IN AN ACCIDENT, THE USER MAY BE TOO FLUSTERED TO THINK OF PRESSING THE UNLOCK DOOR BUTTON PRIOR TO EXITING THE VEHICLE, THIS SHOULD BE DONE AUTOMATICALLY AFTER IMPACT.

IN ORDER TO UNLOCK ALL DOORS, INCLUDING THE TRUNK LATCH, ONE MUST LEAN ALL THE WAY IN TO PRESS THE POWER UNLOCK BUTTON. THERE IS NO WAY TO UNLOCK THE TRUNK USING A KEY. WHEN DOING THIS, THE PERSON UNLOCKING THE VEHICLE IS LEFT VULNERABLE, AND IS A HUGE SAFETY RISK, AND IS OPPOSITE ALL THE SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS PROVIDED BY POLICE AND OTHER SAFETY ORGANIZATIONS: DO NOT TURN YOUR BACK ON YOUR CHILDREN (WHEN HAVING TO LEAN IN TO UNLOCK THE BACK DOORS WHERE THE CHILDREN WILL GO) AND DO NOT LEAN INTO YOUR CAR WHERE YOU COULD BE CARJACKED. I WAS TRYING TO MERGE ON TO THE HIGHWAY AFTER STOPPING AT A GAS STATION. THE CAR WAS UNABLE TO SHIFT GEARS AND SPEED UP. IT WAS MODERATELY TO SEVERELY SHAKING AND SHUDDERING. BECAUSE THE CAR WAS UNABLE TO SPEED UP IN TIME I WAS FORCED OFF THE ROAD BY THE ON COMING TRAFFIC ONTO THE THE SHOULDER/GRASS AREA, WITH THE OTHER CAR NEEDING TO DRIVE AROUND ME. THIS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE SINCE WE PURCHASED THE CAR. THE CLUTCH WAS CHANGED IN OCTOBER 2014 AS PER DEALER, BUT IN APRIL 2015 SAME ISSUES BEGAN DEVELOPING. THIS HAS BEEN THE 3RD NEAR ACCIDENT WITH THIS CAR NOT PROPERLY ACCELERATING ON TO THE HIGHWAY DUE TO THE SHIFTING ISSUE AND CAUSING A NEAR ACCIDENT. OUTSIDE THESE INCIDENTS, THE CAR IS GENERALLY DIFFICULT TO CONTROL AT LOW SPEEDS AS ITS ACCELERATION AND SHIFTING ABILITY CONTINUOUSLY CHANGES AFTER A COMPLETE STOP AT A LIGHT OR STOP SIGN. IT'S QUITE CHALLENGING TO EXPLAIN THE DIFFICULTY OF DRIVING THIS CAR BECAUSE I'VE NEVER HAD A CAR WITH SUCH A POOR CONSISTENCY DURING ACCELERATION. SOME MOMENTS IT WILL MODERATELY JERK FORWARD WITH A SLIGHT TOUCH OF THE PEDAL (ALARMING ESPECIALLY DURING STOP AND GO TRAFFIC), ANOTHER MOMENT YOU NEED TO PRESS THE GAS PEDAL ALL THE WAY DOWN TO ACCELERATE SLOWLY ON A FLAT/EVEN SURFACE AND OTHER TIMES IT MODERATELY-SEVERELY SHAKES AND SHUDDERS AS THE CAR TRIES TO CLIMB A MINIMAL HILL/ELEVATION (ALL THESE EVENTS HAPPEN DURING THE SAME 10-15 MINUTE DRIVE).
