THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED THAT THE MANUFACTURER DID NOT GIVE THE DEALER THE CODE TO PERFORM THE BATTERY CABLE RECALL 02 V 288 000. *JB *SCC
THE REAR DOOR LATCHES WOULD NOT KEEP THE DOORS SHUT; THEY FLEW OPEN WHEN TURNING THE VEHICLE. THE DOORS HAD TO BE HELD WITH BUNGEE CORDS. NOW ONE OF THE REAR DOOR SEIZED AND WOULDN'T OPEN. A FORD DEALER WANTS $400 PER DOOR TO FIX THE LATCH.

CONSUMER NOTICED A FIRE NEAR THE SHIFT LEVER WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF. *JB
THE KEY WOULD NOT TURN ONCE IN THE IGNITION AND WAS DIFFICULT TO REMOVE, THE DEALER REPLACED THE IGNITION TUMBLER. THE CONSUMER HAS ALSO REPLACED THE BRAKES, TIRES AND RADIATOR DEFLECTOR. *NLM

THE CONSUMER HAS EXPERIENCED THE FOLLOWING: THE REPLACEMENT OF THE LEFT DASH BOARD CLUSTER (TEMPERATURE GAUGE INOP FROM THE TIME OF PURCHASE), REATTACHMENT OF RUBBER SEAL AROUND DRIVER DOOR WINDOW, REATTACHMENT OF FUEL PUMP, REATTACHMENT OF HEADLINER IN REAR OF VEHICLE, UNCRIMPING OF FUEL LINE, LUBRICATION DRIVER DOOR HANDLE(STICKING), LUBRICATION OF CATCH ON REAR PASSENGER SIDE DOOR(HAD COME OPEN WHILE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION), REPLACEMENT THE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH IN STEERING COLUMN-HAD TO BE TURNED OFF MANUALLY, PERSISTENT NOISES/VIBRATIONS IN THE FRONT END OF VEHICLE STARTING AT 36K MILES AND WAS TOLD THAT THE TIRES HAD TREAD THAT WAS TOO NARROW/WERE HIGH PERFORMANCE WHICH WASN'T NEEDED/WAS ALSO TOLD THAT THE VIBRATION WAS CAUSED BY IMPROPER TIRE CARE AND TIRE CUPPING, THE LEFT REAR SHOCK NEEDED REPLACEMENT, AND THE RADIO GOES OUT-SOMETIMES GOES OUT WHEN THE HEAT IS TURNED UP HIGH. WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE, CONSUMER STATES' THAT HE HIT A POTHOLE WHICH RESULTED IN THE RIM BENDING AND THE PASSENGER SIDE TIRE BLOWING OUT. CONSUMER FEELS THAT THE ROTORS ARE MADE OF A ALLOYED MATERIAL THAT IS TO THIN. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION. TS *DT
CONSUMER CALLED COMPLAINING ABOUT HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM ON THE VEHICLE. ALSO STATED THAT THE POWER WINDOWS DOES NOT WORK ALSO THE POWER LOCKS ON THE VEHICLE DO NOT WORK. DEALER WAS CONTACTED AND VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE SHOP ON THREE DIFFERENT TIMES AND IT WAS FINELY FIXED BUT CONSUMER STILL THINKS THAT THE VEHICLE STILL HAS DIFFERENT ISSUES. TS THE BRAKES SQUEALED, AND THE VEHICLE WOULD SHUT OFF WHEN THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED HARD, AND THE VEHICLE WOULD HAVE TO BE PLACED IN PARK IN ORDER TO RESTART. A FUSE WAS REPLACED AND HAD BLOWN AGAIN, THERE WAS A SHORT GROUND IN THE WIRE ON THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR SHORTING TO THE GROUND, RECALL 00S50/DECK LID WIRE HARNESS, AND TWO DOOR LOCK ACTUATORS WERE REPLACED. CONSUMER COMPLAINED OF RIGHT WHEEL BEARING NOISE. DEFECT WAS DETERMINED TO BE A FAULTY WHEEL BEARING ON THE REAR PASSENGER BEARING. REAR HUB ASSEMBLY WAS REPLACED AT THE OWNER'S EXPENSE. DT
CONSUMER CALLED COMPLAINING ABOUT HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE AIR BAGS ON THE VEHICLE. ALSO STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING THE CAR AT 15MPH HIT THE VEHICLE ON FRONT OF HIM AND HIS AIR BAGS DEPLOYED CAUSING PHISICAL DAMAGE TO THE CONSUMER. DEALER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NOTHING THAT THEY COULD.
THE CONSUMER COULD NOT START THE VEHICLE DUE TO IGNITION SWITCH FAILURE. THE DEALER INSTALLED NEW KEY LOCK ASSEMBLY AND REPAIRED THE VEHICLE SEVERAL TIMES, BUT THE IGNITION PROBLEM REOCCURS. *YH *SCC
WHEN USING THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS, THEY WOULD SCREECH ACROSS THE WINDSHIELD. HAD TAKEN VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP AND HAD WINDSHIELD WIPER BLADES CHANGED SEVERAL TIMES, BUT PROBLEM STILL EXIST. WAS INFORMED BY MECHANIC IT WAS FAULTY MECHANISM OF WIPERS. TS
CONSUMER WAS ADVISED THAT BOTH FRONT BRAKE ROTORS WERE GROOVED AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. THE TECH WAS UNABLE TO EXPLAIN OR IDENTIFY THE CAUSE OF THE DEFECT. *JG
