AT 84,000 MILES, TRANSMISSION CLUTCHES STARTED TO SLIP ON ACCELERATION IN 1ST GEAR.
CAR HAS 60000 MILES AND HAS EXACT SAME ISSUES AS EVERYONE ELSE IS POSTING. SHUTTERING, SLOW STARTS, LOSS OF POWER ON HIGHWAYS! HOW IS THIS NOT ON A RECALL LIST BY NOW OR DO WE WAIT FOR FATALITIES? THESE CARS ARE UNSAFE FOR THE ROADS! I JUST HAD CLUTCH REPLACED AND I AM EVEN SCARED TO GET THE DANG CAR BACK AND DRIVE IT. RIDICULOUS SOMETHING ISNT BEING DONE BY FORD. WONT BE BUYING THEM ANYMORE UNLESS WE GET SOME HELP.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE POWER STEERING WAS FAULTY AND THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED, WHICH MADE IT DIFFICULT TO TURN. ALSO, WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED AND THE CONTACT SHIFTED INTO DRIVE, THE VEHICLE AUTOMATICALLY WENT IN REVERSE. THE CONTACT HAD TO IMMEDIATELY ENGAGE THE PARKING BRAKE. ALSO, WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED ON THE STREET, IT ROLLED BACKWARDS DUE TO THE PARKING POSITION. FURTHERMORE, WHILE ATTEMPTING TO REVERSE, THE VEHICLE STALLED. ALSO, THE DOOR LATCHES WERE LOOSE AND IN DANGER OF BECOMING DETACHED. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO TED RUSSELL FORD (9925 PARKSIDE DR, KNOXVILLE, TN 37922, (865) 444-6467) AND SERVICED MULTIPLE TIMES FOR EACH FAILURE; HOWEVER, EACH FAILURE REMAINED EXCEPT FOR THE POWER STEERING FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000.
VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AT THE TIME. STEERING ASSIST WARNING CHECK MANUAL CAME ON THE DASH AND I WAS UNABLE TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL. LUCKILY I WAS STOPPED. I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON AND IT WORKED. KIND OF SCARED TO DRIVE IT NOW THOUGH, WHAT IF THAT HAPPENS WHEN I'M IN MOTION????
TOOK TO A MECHANIC AND HE STATED THE TRANSMISSION NEEDS REPLACING. MY VEHICLE WAS HESITANT WHILE DRIVING
SOME TIME AGO I NOTICED MY CAR REVVING BUT NOT ACCELERATING. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE FORD REPAIR CENTER AND THEY TOLD ME THE PROBLEM WAS AN EVAP VALVE AND A FEW OTHER COMPONENTS WHICH NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED TOTALLING OVER $2000 IN OUT OF POCKET REPAIRS. SHORTLY THEREAFTER THE EVAP VALVE GETS RECALLED, I HAD TO TAKE IT TO FORD AGAIN TO RE REPLACE THE PARTS THEY REPLACED EARLIER IN THE YEAR. NOW I'M DRIVING THE CAR AGAIN, AND CONTINUE TO EXPERIENCE THE SAME PROBLEM. I TAKE THE CAR IN FOR BREAKS, SHOCKS AND STRUTS. THE MECHANIC ASKS ME IF MY CAR FEELS SLUGGISH AND IF I AM HAVING A PROBLEM STARTING THE CAR, TO WHICH I RESPONDED YES AND HE PROCEEDS TO TELL ME I NEED TO REPLACE MY BATTERY SO I DO, THINKING THAT MAY BE THE PROBLEM WHY THE CAR IS STALLING. AGAIN, NOT THE FIX I WAS LOOKING FOR. A FEW WEEKS LATER, I'M DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD HEADING TO WORK, MY CAR STALLS, YET AGAIN, BUT THIS TIME IT STARTS SLOWING DOWN. I'M ACCELERATING ATTEMPTING FOR IT TO GO AND IT JUST STOPS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. I TRIED TURNING IT BACK ON AND NOTHING. A FEW MORE ATTEMPTS LATER AND FINALLY STARTS. I GET TO WHERE I NEED TO GO, PARK THE CAR. UPON RETURNING THE CAR WOULD NOT START. HAD IT TOWED TO A MECHANIC WHO INFORMED THE THE ISSUE IS THE TRANSMISSION. THE CAR HAS NOW BEEN PARKED FOR 4 MONTHS. ENGINE LIGHT NEVER CAME ON AND THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO INDICATION ON THE DASHBOARD THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM. AND THE ISSUE NEVER CAME UP A MONTH EARLIER WHEN FORD REPAIRED THE FUEL EVAP PROBLEM. AT THIS POINT I'M AT MY WIT'S END AND DON'T KNOW IF IT'S EVEN WORTH REPAIRING. AFTER READING THROUGH SOME OTHER COMPLAINTS IS SEEMS THE PROBLEM PERSISTS EVEN AFTER THE ATTEMPTED FIX. WHO HAS MONEY TO KEEP DUMPING INTO A CAR AND NOT KNOW IF FORD WILL EVER RECALL THE TRANSMISSION WHICH THEY REALLY SHOULD DO. THIS CAR HAS BEEN A PROBLEM SINCE IT WAS DRIVEN OFF THE LOT NEW!
A LOUD ABRUPT THUMP(S) AND/OR HIGH PITCHED SCREECHING SOUNDS COME FROM THE SOUND SYSTEM SPEAKERS. THIS OCCURS WITH THE RADIO IN THE "ON" OR "OFF" POSITION AND MAY LAST A FEW SECONDS UP TO MINUTES. THE SOUND IS VERY LOUD AND UNCONTROLLABLE. THE RADIO IS UNRESPONSIVE DURING AND AFTER THE NOISE (USUALLY REQUIRING AN ENGINE RESTART). THIS IS DANGEROUS WHEN OPERATING THE VEHICLE. THE NOISE LEVEL AND SUDDENESS CAUSES AN IMMEDIATE DEFENSIVE POSTURE JUST AS IF I HAD BEEN STRUCK FROM OUT OF NOWHERE. NOT ONLY THAT, IT IS ABUSIVE. IT REALLY RATTLES THE NERVES. THE ONLY SURE WAY TO CONTROL IT IS TO DISCONNECT THE RADIO.
WHETHER THE CAR IS ON OR OFF THE SPEAKERS WILL MAKE A HIGH FREQUENCY PITCH SOUND AND A LOUD POPPING SOUND EVEN WHEN THE RADIO IS TURNED OFF. OVER THE LAST TWO DAYS THIS IS DONE THIS THREE TIMES WHILE I'M DRIVING IT'S VERY DISTRACTING I ALMOST RAN OFF THE ROAD. I AM NOW TO THE POINT I HAVE TO WEAR EARPLUGS JUST TO DRIVE MY CAR, SO I WON'T DAMAGE MY EARS. I HAVE TO VIDEO RECORDINGS OF THE CAR MAKING THE SOUND ONE WHEN THE CAR IS ON AND ONE WHEN IT IS OFF. HOWEVER THE FORMAT I HAVE THESE VIDEOS IS NOT ACCEPTED FOR ME TO UPLOAD TO YOUR SITE I WILL BE HAPPY TO SEND IT TO YOU ANYWAY I CAN.
THR POWERTRAIN WENT BAD AGAIN. THIS WOULD MAKE IT THR 3RD TIME AND FORD WILL NOT REPLACE IT BECAUSE THE VEHICLE HAS OVER 100000 MILES.
STEERING ASSIST FAULT; LOSS OF POWER STEERING IN THE VEHICLE
2102 FORD FOCUS - HAVE TRANSMISSION SKIPPING AND ALSO COULD NOT GET THE GEAR SHIFT TO GO FROM PARK TO DRIVE . WAS STICK FOR 2 HOURS IN THE WINTER MONTHS UNTIL TOW ARRIVED.

THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V735000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE) REGARDING THE CANISTER PURGE VALVE. THE CONTACT SPOKE WITH THE MANUFACTURER AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE RECALL WAS VALID AND TO HAVE THE DEALER REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO FORD OF UNIONTOWN (1 SUPERIOR WAY, UNIONTOWN, PA 15401, (724) 425-5980) WHERE IT WAS TEST DRIVEN. THE DEALER STATED THAT THEY WOULD CALL THE CONTACT WHEN THE PART BECAME AVAILABLE. AFTER WAITING THREE WEEKS, THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE DEALER STATED THAT THEY DID NOT NEED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER REMOVED THE VIN FROM THE RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD FOCUS. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE ENGINE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 14,000.

THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT THE GEAR SHIFTER WAS STUCK AND WOULD NOT SHIFT INTO THE CORRECT GEAR. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO CAPITAL FORD (3660 S CARSON ST, CARSON CITY, NV 89701, (775) 882-5353) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CONTROL MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALER ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V735000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE), BUT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THEY WERE NOT AUTHORIZING ANY RENTAL VEHICLES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 987,038.
I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE A FEW MONTHS AGO AND I WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD RECEIVE ANOTHER LETTER IN ABOUT 3 MONTHS ONCE THE NECESSARY PARTS WERE IN STOCK. I HADN'T RECEIVED THE FOLLOW UP LETTER SO I CALLED MY LOCAL FORD DEALER AND I WAS TOLD THAT THE PARTS WERE ON BACK ORDER BUT I COULD SET UP AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE MY VEHICLE INSPECTED FOR CORROSION TO DETERMINE IF I EVEN NEEDED THE PARTS. THE EARLIEST APPOINTMENT I COULD GET WAS MAY 18TH, JUST FOR THE INSPECTION; NOT EVEN FOR THE ACTUAL REPAIRS. THE RECALL IS FOR THE FUEL VAPOR SYSTEM AND THERE'S A WARPED PART THAT IS CAUSING AN INACCURATE READING ON FUEL LEVELS WHICH MEANS I HAVE TO MAINTAIN AT LEAST A HALF TANK OF GAS AT ALL TIMES. MY CAR IS NOW LEAKING GAS AND STALLING IN TRAFFIC DUE TO THE ISSUE. I LIVE IN A CITY WITH LOTS OF STEEP INCLINES AND HILLS AND I HAVE TO AVOID CERTAIN STREETS BECAUSE MY CAR HAS STALLED AND ALMOST CAUSED ACCIDENTS. THERE IS ONLY ONE FORD DEALER IN MY AREA. THE ONLY OTHER DEALER IS ABOUT 30-40 MINUTES AWAY.

THE FAILURE OCCURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE REPAIR WAS PERFORMED BY DELEHANTY FORD (1510 E PIERSON RD, FLUSHING, MI 48433, (810) 659-5687). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AGAIN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 77,000.
POWER STEERING FAILURE AT STARTUP. INITIALLY, THIS WAS INTERMITTENT AND RESTARTING THE CAR WOULD SOLVE THE ISSUE. EVENTUALLY, THE POWER STEERING FAILED COMPLETELY DESPITE RESTARTING THE CAR. THE POWER STEERING FAILED ONLY ON STARTUP, NOT WHEN DRIVING.

I HAD A RECALL ON MY CAR STARTING IN JANUARY AND STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY INFORMATION EXPLAINING WHEN I CAN GET MY CAR FIXED.
THE TRANSMISSION FEELS LIKE IT SLIPPING. AND IT RAKES TIME TO CHANGE GEARS SOMETIME THE CAR BLINKS HILL START ASSISTANCE UNAVAILABLE AND IT KEEPS RESEATING THE MPG MILLAGE AND TRIP TIMER. THIS MORNING WHEN I LOCKED MY CAR IT WAS LIKE A DOOR WAS OPEN BUT I CHECKED ALL THE DOORS AND THEY WAS LOCKED
THE ELECTRONIC RACK AND PINION FAILED WHEN DRIVING. THE CAR STARTED DISPLAYING A POWER STEERING ASSIST ERROR ON THE DISPLAY. ALL POWER STEERING WAS LOST AND CAR NEARING LOST CONTROL AND CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. SPEED WAS 55 MPH ON SHUG JORDAN. AFTER DIAGNOSING THE ISSUE, A REPLACEMENT POWER STEERING UNIT NEEDED TO BE INSTALLED. FORD MADE A DEFECTIVE PART.
"STEER ASSIST FAULT" ERROR MESSAGE WITH TOTAL LOSS OF POWER STEERING WHILE DRIVING, CAUSING LOW SPEED IMPACT INTO CURB IN NEIGHBORHOOD. THIS IS A KNOWN POWER STEERING SYSTEM FAILURE AND YET FORD HAS FAILED ITS CUSTOMERS AND CONTINUE TO PUT THEM IN DANGER AND LIFE'S AS RISK. THIS IS MY 16YEAR OLD DAUGHTER CAR AND IT IS AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE THAT THIS ISSUE HAS SIGNIFICANT DOCUMENTATION & COMPLAINTS CONFIRMING THIS FAILURE YET NO RECALL & FORD NOT TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR PRODUCTS. IT'S EXTREMELY SAD THAT IT WILL PROBABLY TAKE A HUMANS LIFE BEFORE THIS KNOWN POWER STEERING FAILURE ISSUE WHICH CAUSES DRIVERS TO LOSE ALL POWER STEERING CAPABILITIES! THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 127,000.
UPON STARTING MY 2012 FORD FOCUS ON TWO OCCASIONS IN THE PAST 2 MONTHS, MY STEERING WHEEL WOULD NOT TURN. THE "STEERING WHEEL ASSIST: FAULT" MESSAGE ALERTED ON MY STEERING WHEEL SCREEN ON BOTH OCCASIONS. THE CAR WAS PARKED ON THE STREET AND UPON TURNING THE CAR ON AND SEEING THE MESSAGE, I ATTEMPTED TO DRIVE OUT OF THE PARKING SPOT AND COULD ONLY GO STRAIGHT OR BACKWARDS. AFTER FINDING MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS ONLINE ABOUT MY SAME ISSUE, I TOOK IT TO MY LOCAL AUTO REPAIR SHOP TO DIAGNOSE THE ISSUE. THE DIAGNOSIS CODE IS U3000:49 - CONTROL MODULE INTERNAL ELECTRONIC FAILURE, AND THE INVOICE/TECHNICIAN'S OPINION CAN BE FOUND IN THE UPLOADED FILE BELOW.

THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL FOR THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 35,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF, BUT WOULD NOT RESTART. THE CONTACT'S SON HAD TO ASSIST WITH PUSHING THE VEHICLE OUT OF THE PARKING GARAGE. IN ADDITION, THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. ONCE THE VEHICLE RESTARTED, IT WAS DRIVEN TO LUBBERS CARS (944 N MAIN ST, CHENEY, KS 67025, (877) 326-6992), BUT THEY DID NOT ASSIST AND STATED THAT A REMEDY WOULD NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL LATER THIS MONTH. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 104,000.
BOUGHT 2012 FORD FOCUS ON 3/2016. 5/2016 TOOK BACK TO DEALERSHIP FOR STUCK WINDOW D/T BAD MOTOR AND REPROGRAMMING OF TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE. 7/2016 CAR WOULD NOT START AT ALL, COMPLETELY STALLED OUT. TOOK TO FORD DEALERSHIP AGAIN...TRANSMISSION COMPUTER/MODULE REPLACED. 12/2018 CAR STALLED YET AGAIN AND STEERING WOULD NOT WORK NOR WOULD SHIFTER...TRANSMISSION GARAGE STATED THEY FIXED ISSUE. 8 HOURS LATER, THE CAR WOULD NOT RUN AT ALL. TRANSMISSION PLACE REFUSED TO TOUCH THE CAR AGAIN. CALLED ORIGINAL DEALERSHIP AND OFCOURSE, THEY REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE. AND EXPECT US TO PAY FOR IT AGAIN THIS TIME! PLUS THE DEALERSHIP WILL NOT REPLACE CAR UNTIL MOST RECENT RECALL IS FIXED ON IT. LIKE HELL WILL I PUT MY 2 CHILDREN AND HUSBAND BACK IN THIS CAR WITH THE CHANCE OF IT TO STALL AGAIN AND CRASH. WE RESIDE 40 MILES AWAY FROM WORK SO A TOTAL OF A 1/2 TANK OF GAS AT ONE TIME IS NOT FEASIBLE IN WESTERN NEW YORK WEATHER. 5 TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS AND HOW MANY RECALLS LATER AND FORD MOTOR COMPANY WILL NOT DO ANYTHING TO MAKE THEIR WRONGS RIGHT

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 38,000. 70K MILES, STEERING ASSIST FAILURE. LEAVING MY 19 YO DAUGHTER STRANDING OUT OF TOWN. CAR WAS PARKED AND MALFUNCTION WOULD NOT RESET WITH RESTARTING OR DISCONNECTING BATTERY. $2000 TO REPAIR... I OWN FOUR FORDS AND MY PATIENCE IS WEARING THIN FROM ALL THE RECALLS ON ALL FOUR VEHICLES THAT I OWN.
WHILE I WAS DRIVING THE WHOLE STEARING COLUMN STARTS TO VIBRATE THEN IT TIGHTENS UP AND THE LIGHT COMES ON SAYING STEARING ASSIST FAULT, SERVICE REQUIRED. WHEN THIS HAPPENS THE STEARING WHEEL LOCKS UP AND YOU CAN'T TURN. I'VE HAD THIS HAPPEN THREE TIMES, LUCKILY NOT IN A CURVE OR AT A HIGHER RATE OF SPEED. I HAVE TO STOP THE CAR, TURN IT OFF AND BACK ON TO RESET. I KNOW I WILL CRASH IF I AM GOING AROUND A CURVE OR DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE, WITH THE CAR STEARING LOCKED. I CURRENTLY HAVE IT AT THE FORD DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR. THE MECHANIC SAID IT WAS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE.
WITH INCREASING FREQUENCY THE POWER STEERING FAILS AT STARTUP. I TURN THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON AGAIN, SEEMS TO BE A QUICK FIX, BUT I WORRY SOMETHING IS ACTUALLY BROKEN.

FORD FOCUS 2012 SAFETY RECALL NOTICE 18S32 / NHTSA RECALL 18V-735 HELLO, ON OCTOBER 24, 2018 I WAS DRIVING MY CAR TO WORK AND STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN. MY CAR ACTED AS IF IT WAS TRYING TO TURN OFF LIKE A ROUGH IDLE. WHEN I TRIED TO PULL OFF FROM THE STOP SIGN, MY CAR WOULD MOVE SLOW. THE RPM WAS RISING BUT BARELY ANY MOVEMENT. AFTER ABOUT 30 SECONDS, MY CAR JERKED AND STARTED DRIVING NORMAL. A LIGHT CAME ON AFTER. WHEN I GOT OFF, MY CAR WAS HAVING DIFFICULTY STARTING. THE ROUGH IDLING STARTED AGAIN WHILE I WAS JUST SITTING IN MY CAR. RIGHT AFTER THAT, I TOOK MY CAR TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP THAT I GOT MY CAR FROM. MY CAR WAS THERE FOR 2 DAYS. SO OCTOBER 28, 2019, I PAID 819.64. TODAY DECEMBER 14, 2018 I RECEIVED A LETTER IN THE MAIL STATING MY CAR HAS A RECALL. THE RECALL IS FOR A STUCK CANISTER VALVE WITHIN THE FUEL VAPOR SYSTEM. I NOTICED THAT I HAD JUST REPAIRED MY CAR OVER A MONTH AGO FOR THE CANISTER PURGE VALVE. SO I WHEN TO THE FORD THAT I GOT MY CAR REPAIRED AT AND SHOWED THEM THE PAPER THAT I GOT IN THE MAIL. I ADVISED THEM THAT I ALREADY PAID FOR THE REPLACEMENT. THE SERVICE GUY TOLD ME THAT THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REIMBURSE MY MONEY BECAUSE I NEED AN ORIGINAL RECEIPT. I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY IF THEY REPRINT ME MY RECEIPT SHOWING ME THAT I PAID FOR THE REPAIR. SO BASICALLY MY REPAIR IS IN THE SYSTEM OF FORD. AND I PAID FOR THE REPAIR ON OCTOBER 26, 2018. THE RECALL CAME ABOUT ON OCTOBER 22, 2018. BUT WAS NOT MAILED TO ME UNTIL DECEMBER.
ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING FAILURE LIGHT KEEPS GOING ON AND NO POWER STEERING IS AVAILABLE. DOES RESET UPON RESTARTING CAR. THERE ARE OVER 10000 ONLINE FORUM COMPLAINTS ABOUT SAME ISSUE. FORD WAS AWARE OF ISSUE AND CONTINUED TO SELL THE VEHICLE WITH THIS ISSUE AND THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL FAULT.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED WHILE DRIVING TO WORK. THE LIGHT WAS SOLID NOT FLASHING. FUEL GAUGE WAS AT 1/2 TANK. ITS A 50 MILE DRIVE TO WORK. FUEL GAUGE INDICATED 1/4 TANK WHEN I ARRIVED AT WORK. ON THE DRIVE BACK FROM WORK HEADING STRAIGHT TO THE DEALER SHIP, FUEL GAUGE WAS DROPPING QUICKLY. STOPPED TO GET FUEL. FILLED TANK. VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. AFTER WAITING SEVERAL MINUTES BETWEEN ATTEMPTED STARTS, ON THE FIFTH ATTEMPT IT STARTED VERY ROUGHLY. THE DRIVE TO THE DEALER SHIP THE CAR DID NOT RUN CORRECTLY.
TRUNK OPENS WHILE DRIVING - HIGHWAY AND CITY STREETS. HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES IN THE LAST 2 WEEKS.
MY CAR HAD LESS THAN 90,000 MILES ON IT WHEN IT BEGAN TO HAVE ISSUES WITH THE TRANSMISSION. THE ENGINE STUTTERS OR IDLES WHEN I ACCELERATE, WHICH HAS MADE GETTING ON THE INTERSTATE A NIGHTMARE. IF I ACCELERATE TO EVEN 35 MPH, I HAVE TO COMPLETELY REMOVE MY FOOT FROM THE GAS PEDAL, OTHERWISE MY RPMS WILL SHOOT TO OVER 4 (4,000 RPMS). IT CAUSES MY ENTIRE CAR TO FEEL LIKE IT'S SHAKING, AND IT ALMOST SEEMS LIKE MY CAR IS HAVING TROUBLE SHIFTING GEARS. NOT ONLY THAT, BUT WHEN I'VE STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN AND BEGIN TO DRIVE, MY ENGINE MAKES THE MOST TERRIBLE CHURNING/CLASHING/GRINDING NOISE POSSIBLE. LATELY IT HAS GOTTEN TO THE POINT THAT MY RPMS WILL CONTINUE TO INCREASE BUT MY CAR'S SPEED WILL STAY THE SAME. ALL OF THESE SITUATIONS (TROUBLE SHIFTING GEARS, NOISES, AND HIGH RPMS) WILL OCCUR NO MATTER WHAT, EVERY TIME I ACCELERATE. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT SORT OF ROAD I AM ON.
AFTER I PUT FUEL IN THE FUEL TANK AND TRY TO START THE CAR HESITATES LIKE IT WANTS TO QUIT. I JUST GOT IT AWAY FROM THE DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY REPLACED FUEL PUMP, FUEL TANK, AND DID A SOFTWARE UPDATE TO THE PCM. AND ALSO REPLACED THE PURGE VALVE. AFTER FUELING THE CAR IS THE ONLY TIME THE HESITATION IS NOTICED AFTER THAT IT STARTS FINE UNTIL THE NEXT FUEL IS PUT IN. THE 2ND THING THAT IS HAPPENING IS THERE IS WATER IN THE TRUNK UNDER THE SPARE TIRE. IT HAS BEEN RAINING FOR 2 DAYS NOW AND THE WATER IS EVEN WITH THE SPARE. WHAT I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALERSHIP WAS THAT FORD HAS BASICALLY WASHED THEIR HANDS OF ME AND MY CAR SINCE I SETTLED WITH THEM ABOUT THE CLASS ACTION. I AM HAVING AN INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOP TO TRY AND FIND WHAT IS CAUSING THE PROBLEMS. BUT I DO THINK FORD SHOULD BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING SUCH A LEMON. I STILL OWE OVER $8,000 ON THIS VEHICLE NOW I AM HAVING TO DO REPAIRS ON IT ALSO.

THE CAR CURRENTLY HAS 36,600 MILES ONLY, BUT SO FAR HAD 3 RECALLS(!). 1 FOR TRANSMISSION ISSUES (GOT IT TO THE DEALERSHIP, THEY SAID THEY FIXED IT BUT TO THIS DATE IT IS STILL STALLING WHEN ACCELERATING), 1 FOR DEFECT DOOR LATCHES, AND 1 FOR THE FUEL PUMP. ON TOP OF THESE 2 DAYS AGO WHILE TRYING TO BACK OUT FROM A PARKING LOT THE STEERING WHEEL WENT DEAD AND A WARNING CAME UP ON THE DASHBOARD SCREEN SAYING THE POWER STEERING IS OUT. TOWED IT AND TOOK IT TO THE NEAREST FORD DEALERSHIP AND AFTER TWO DAYS I GOT THE NEW THAT RACK AND PINION NEED REPLACEMENT AND IT WILL COST $2,100 PARTS AND LABOR. CALLED FORD MOTORS COMPANY AND THEY SAID IT'S NOTHING THEY CAN DO SINCE THE CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY. HOW CAN PARTS LIKE THESE CAN FAIL AFTER ONLY 36,000 MILES??? AND WHY FORD MOTOR COMPANY DOESN'T TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR DEFECT CARS LIKE THESE PLACED ON THE MARKET TO BE SOLD AS "NEW"?!
MY CAR STALLS AND SHAKES BADLY. WHEN I HAVE TO PUT GAS IN MY CAR, IT TAKES 10MINS FOR MY CAR TO START AFTER WORDS. IT CAN HAVE A FULL TANK OR HALF OR UNDER A HALF TANK OF GAS AND IT DOES ALL THIS. MY CAR HAS SHUT OFF ON ME WHILE TURNING ON A ROAD. MY CAR HAS STALLED REALLY BADLY WHILE STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT. MY CAR HAS STALLED WHILE TRYING TO TAKE OFF FROM A STOP SIGN, RED LIGHT OR ANY THING THAT I HAVE TO SLOW DOWN FOR. MY GAS NEEDLE WILL BE AT 3/4 OF A TANK AND IT WILL SHOOT UP PASS AND OVER A FULL TANK OF GAS. I HAVE HAD TO RENT MULTIPLE CARS FROM MY LOCAL ENTERPRISE TO TAKE MY DAUGHTER AND GRANDMA TO DR APPOINTMENTS OUT OF MY LOCAL AREA. I HAVE HAD MY CAR TOWED TO A SHOP CAUSE IT SHUT OFF AND WOULDN'T START BACK WITH 50MILES TO GO TILL GAS WAS NEEDED. MY CAR HAS BEEN BROKE DOWN ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD 2 TIMES DUE TO THE GAS NEEDLE. NOW I HAVE TO DRIVE THIS CAR AROUND EVEN LONGER UNTIL THEY CAN GET THE PART FOR MY CAR. WHICH WILL BE 2 WEEKS FROM NOW. AND THEN ANOTHER 2-3 DAYS FOR THEM TO DO THE WORK.
I WAS GOING 60 MPH ON A FREEWAY IN THE FAR RIGHT LANE WHEN MY CAR STARTED TO HYDROPLANE ACROSS 5 LANES OF TRAFFIC AND I HIT THE CENTER CONCRETE BARRIER HEAD ON AND THEN THE FORCE OF THE IMPACT CAUSED MY CAR TO SPIN AROUND AND THEN THE REAR OF THE CAR HIT THE BARRIER HEAD ON. NOT A SINGLE AIRBAG DEPLOYED. NOT EVEN THE ONE IN THE STEERING WHEEL. I THINK THERE'S SOMETHING FAULTY WITH THEM BUT NO ONE WILL TAKE A LOOK AT IT FOR ME.
STARTING MY CAR WHILE PARKED, POWER STEERING MALFUNCTION INDICATED ON DASH, I WOULD SHUT THE CAR OFF AND START IT AGAIN AND IT WOULD CLEAR, HOWEVER AFTER MULTIPLE TIMES OF THIS OCCURRING IT IS CONSTANT.
