THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FIVE STAR FORD (6618 NE LOOP 820, NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX 76180) WHERE THEY DID NOT REPAIR ANY OF THE RECALLS FOR REASONS UNKNOWN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT FOR 16V643000 AND 16V698000. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE FOR 18V735000.
COMPLETE FAILURE OF POWER STEERING MAKING CAR IMPOSSIBLE TO DRIVE. PER DEALER RACK / BOLT FAILURE. ESTIMATE TO REPAIR $2200. COULD HAVE CAUSED CAR CRASH. WHAT HAPPENED WARNING LIGHT TO PULL OVER GET SERVICE IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWED BY COMPLETE LOCKING OF STEERING. EVEN THE TOW TRUCK PERSON COULD BARELY GET ON TO TOW TRUCK BECAUSE COULD NOT MOVE POSITION OF CARE.
LESS THAN 24 HRS AGO I STARTED FOCUS AND THE DASHBOARD THAT TELLS ME HOW MUCH FUEL, AND HOW FAST I'M GOING DIDN'T WORK PULLED OVER TURNED IT OFF AND BACK ON AND IS STILL NOT WORKING. WENT TO CHANGE FUSES AND THAT DIDN'T FIX THE ISSUE. TALKED TO LOCAL REPAIR SHOP WHO HAS SEEN THE ISSUE AND SAYS IT CONTROL MODULE AND THAT THE PIECE IS CONNECTED TO SECURITY SYSTEM AND THAT SOMETHING WOULD HAVE TO BE REBUILT. CALLED FORD HOME OFFICE 800 NUMBER AND WAS NO HELP.
THERE IS AN ENGINE CHECK LIGHT ON MY DASH BORD AND WHEN I DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY THE ENGINE COMPLETELY SHUT OFF TWO TIMES BY THIS WK. AND ALSO WHEN I DRIVING UP HILL THE CAR FORCE BECOMIN WEAK
VEHICLE HAS REPEATEDLY HAD TRANSMISSION ISSUES COMING IN A VARIETY OF FORMS. AT TIMES I WILL BE UNABLE TO ACCELERATE, WITH MY PEDAL TO THE FLOOR, WHILE THE CAR SEEMS TO 'COAST' AND WITH NO EXPLANATION. OTHER TIMES I HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE'S ALERT LIGHTS COME ON WITH A WARNING THE TRANSMISSION HAS OVERHEATED AND TO PULL OVER 'IMMEDIATELY.' THIS IS DIFFICULT TO DO WHEN ON A 55 MPH ZONE OR ON THE HIGHWAY; THE INABILITY TO ACCELERATE HAS LED TO MULTIPLE INCIDENCES PULLING INTO TRAFFIC OR ATTEMPTING TO MERGE WHERE VEHICLES HAVE HAD TO SWERVE OR STOP BECAUSE I AM IN THEIR WAY. IN DAILY DRIVING, THERE IS A CONSTANT SHUDDER THAT MAKES ME BELIEVE THE VEHICLE WILL FAIL AT ANY MOMENT. THIS VEHICLE WAS THE DAILY DRIVER OF MY WIFE AND WE WERE FORCED TO LEASE ANOTHER VEHICLE BECAUSE SHE DID NOT FEEL SAFE. IT HAS BEEN IN FOR A MULTITUDE OF REPAIRS AND REQUIRES MORE. HOWEVER, NO DEALERSHIP IS ABLE TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT OR PROVIDE A LOANER, EVEN THOUGH IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE A COVERED REPAIR. I EXCEEDED MY WARRANTY TO HAVE IT ENTIRELY COVERED SIMPLY BECAUSE NO DEALER COULD SCHEDULE ME. THE PROBLEMS BEGAN IN 2013 AND HAVE PERSISTED SINCE, TO THIS DATE. THE MOST RECENT SAFETY-RELATED MATTER OCCURRED ON A WINDING TWO LANE ROAD A MONTH AGO WHERE THERE WAS NOWHERE TO PULL OVER SAFELY AND THE CAR THREATENED TO SHUT DOWN DUE TO THE TRANSMISSION OVERHEATING
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FOCUS. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT COASTED THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WHERE IT IDLED, BUT DID NOT ENGAGE IN ANY GEAR. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO DAVE SINCLAIR FORD (7466 S LINDBERGH BLVD, ST LOUIS, MO 63125) WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE CLUTCH FAILED AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT THE CLUTCH HAD TO BE REPLACED TWELVE TIMES SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED IN 2015. THE MECHANIC ALSO MENTIONED THAT THERE WAS AN OIL LEAK IN THE TRANSMISSION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 79,000.
WHILE DRIVING AT CITY SPEED IN ELKIN, NC, THE TRANSMISSION FAULT LIGHT CAME ON AND THE VEHICLE STOPPED. HERE I AM STRANDED IN TRAFFIC. NOT THE SAFEST POSITION TO BE IN. I SHUT THE VEHICLE DOWN AND RESTARTED IT IN THE HOPES THAT THIS MIGHT REBOOT THE FAULT AND SOLVE THE PROBLEM OR AT LEAST LET ME GET TO A DEALERSHIP. THE TRANSMISSION FAULT LIGHT WAS STILL ACTIVE BUT I WAS ABLE TO MOVE ONLY IN FIRST GEAR. THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT SHIFT. I WAS ABLE TO GET TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP IN ELKIN, NC WHERE THEY WERE ABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. THE TRANSMISSION MODULE OF THIS WONDERFUL DPS6 TRANSMISSION HAD FAILED. THEY HAD A TRANSMISSION MODULE IN STOCK SO A REPAIR WAS MADE. I DREAD EVERY TIME I HAVE TO GET INTO THIS VEHICLE. I WORRY IF I AM GOING TO GET TO MY DESTINATION SAFELY. I WORRY IF I AM GOING TO GET HOME SAFELY. FORD IS MAKING EVERY DELAY POSSIBLE TO SLOW DOWN THE LEGAL PROCESS.
FORD DEALER IN MELBOURNE, FLORIDA REFUSES TO PERFORM RECALL WORK. TOOK THE CAR IN--IT FAILED INSPECTION. THE MANAGER REFUSED TO ORDER PARTS OR WORK ON THE VEHICLE AND TOLD ME THE MECHANIC WAS ON VACATION. I WENT BACK AGAIN TO HAVE THE OTHER RECALL ITEMS WORKED ON, THE MANAGER SAID IT WAS STILL A "NO GO," AND I'D HAVE TO WAIT TWO MONTHS TO GET MY UNSAFE CAR LOOKED AT...
THE STEERING FAILURE WAS NOTICED DRIVING AT HIGH WAY SPEED AS IT BECAME VERY DIFFICULT TO MAINTAIN A STRAIGHT LINE OF TRAVEL. ONCE I DETERMINED SOMETHING WAS WRONG I PULLED OVER TO RUN THE CARS BUILT IN DIAGNOSTIC. THE DIAGNOSTIC CLAIMED THERE WAS A STEERING FAULT AND SERVICE WAS NEEDED BUT APPEARED AS IF THE VEHICLE WAS STILL FUNCTIONAL. I THEN DECIDED TO SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF AND RESTART IT, ONCE RESTARTED THE ERROR MESSAGE "STEERING LOSS STOP SAFELY" APPEARED AND THE STEERING WAS EFFECTIVELY LOCKED UP
MY 2013 FORD FOCUS TIRE ROD "SLIPPED OUT" AND WAS REPLACED. THE PART WAS NOT BROKEN BUT THE THREADS ON THE MALE BOLT SLIPPED OUT AND BECAME DISCONNECTED WHILE EXITING A PARKING. THE PART CAME OUT DURING THE TRANSITION FROM REVERSE TO DRIVE WHILE STOPPED AND STRAIGHTENING THE WHEEL. THE FEMALE PART ON THE TIRE ROD BECAME DISCONNECTED. I HAVE CONCERN THAT THAT IS A PART MALFUNCTION AND THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN. I HAVE A VIDEO OF THE PARTS AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT THAT SHOWS THE PART IS NOT BEEN BROKEN AND DID NOT HAVE DAMAGE. THIS CAR HAS NOT BEEN INVOLVED IN ANY ACCIDENTS. THERE IS RUST ON THE THREADS AND I FEEL THAT CONTRIBUTED TO IT COMING APART. I BELIEVE THAT THIS PART IS A MANUFACTURERS DEFECT.

ALSO, THE FUEL GAUGE DID NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY AND INDICATED THAT THERE WAS FUEL IN THE VEHICLE WHEN THERE REALLY WAS NONE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO KISTLER FORD SALES INC. (5555 CENTRAL AVE, TOLEDO, OH 43615), BUT THEY WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE OR REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE FORD MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 125,000.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE RECEIVED A WARNING 'POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT- SERVICE REQUIRED'. NEARLY WRECKED, BUT WAS ABLE TO PULL ONTO THE SHOULDER, WHEN I RESTARTED THE VEHICLE THE ERROR WENT AWAY AND POWER STEERING WAS BACK. MADE IT HOME (CAUTIOUSLY) AND NOW THE ERROR COMES UP EVERY TIME I START THE VEHICLE AND THE WHEEL IS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO TURN.
INSTRUMENT PANEL WENT OUT, UNABLE TO TELL HOW FAST YOUR GOING OR IF LIGHTS ARE ON, OR BLINKERS. UNABLE TO DETERMINE MILEAGE OF VEHICLE
STUDDERING, SHAKING UPON ACCELERATION
COUNTRY FORD STATED THAT THEY FIXED THE ISSUE. I CALLED THEM THE SAME DAY THAT THE ISSUE WAS STILL ON GOING. THEY STATED THAT IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN THE RESET OF THE COMPUTER. I'M VERY CONCERN THE ISSUE WAS NOT FIX BECAUSE THE NEEDED PART WASN'T AVAILABLE AT THE TIME. THE CAR STILL STALLS WHEN IT'S AT HALF A TANK AND COMPLETELY STALLS WHEN IT'S AT A QUARTER TANK. THIS IS NOT SAFE TO BE DRIVING DOWN HIGHWAYS OR IN A BUSY CITY. I AM CONCERN WITH WITH MY HEALTH AND LIFE IT SUDDENLY SHOTS OFF ON A BUSY ROAD.

TAKATA RECALL. ON FRIDAY MARCH 1 2019 AS I WAS DRIVING MY AIR BAG EXPLODED. NO DAMAGE TO VEHICLE OCCURRED.
TAKATA RECALL. THE TRANSMISSION HAS A SHUTTER/SLIP IN BETWEEN 1ST AND 2ND GEAR AND I HEAR THAT IS A PROBLEM WITH THESE CARS. MY CAR IS A 2013 FORD FOCUS TITANIUM HATCHBACK. IT DOES IT EVERYTIME I TAKE OFF

MY CAR IS A 2013 FORD FOCUS TITANIUM. IT DOES IT EVERY TIME I TAKE OFF. NOW MY CAR WONT START BECAUSE THE CLUTCH IS STUCK AND FORD IS TELLING ME I'M OUT OF WARRANTY - CLUTCH HAS BEEN REPLACED 3 TIMES ALREADY AND THEY WANT TO CHARGE ME $2,300 TO FIX AN EXISTING AND ONGOING ISSUE THEY KNOW THEY HAVE.

WHILE WAITING IN TRAFFIC ON A HILL OR ACCELERATING UPHILL THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT RANDOMLY TURNS ON AND THE VEHICLE IMMEDIATELY SHUTS OFF. THIS HAS LEFT ME ROLLING TO A STOP ON THE FREEWAY AND EVEN ROLLING BACKWARDS DOWNHILL UNABLE TO TURN THE CAR BACK ON. TODAY I BARELY PULLED OVER ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD BEFORE I STARTED TO COAST BACKWARDS. RECALL WAS POSTED 10/22/18 AND THERE IS NO SOLUTION YET OVER 4 MONTHS LATER.
DPS6 TRANSMISSION SHUDDER AND SLIPPING ISSUE. VEHICLE HAS BEEN SERVICED UNDER MULTIPLE OWNERS AND HAD THE CLUTCHES REPLACED AS WELL AS THE SOFTWARE RE-FLASHED. FORD DEALER STATED THEY ARE AWARE OF THE ISSUE TOLD ME THEY WOULD GET IT FIXED UNDER THE EXTENDED WARRANTY OFFERED BY FORD. I WAS CHARGED FOR A RE-FLASH I WAS NEVER CALLED TO AUTHORIZED, THAT HAS NOT FIXED THE SHUDDERING ISSUE. I WAS ALMOST IN AN ACCIDENT WHEN THE CARD DECIDED TO NOT SHIFT GOING THROUGH A STOP LIGHT AND THE VEHICLE BEHIND ME ALMOST REAR ENDED ME. I CONTACTED FORD AND THE SERVICE MANAGER STATED "YOU NEED TO DRIVE IT MORE AGGRESSIVELY". FORD OPENED A CASE TO REVIEW THE POOR SERVICE AND THEY HAVE NEVER CONTACTED ME AGAIN.
HAVING ISSUES WITH THE TRANSMISSION SHUTTERING AND DELAYS IN RESPONSE. WE WERE CROSSING A BUSY HIGHWAY NOT LONG AGO AND AS WE PULLED ONTO THE HIGHWAY THE CAR STARTED VIBRATING AND SHUTTERING UNCONTROLLABLY AND WOULD BARELY MOVE. WE ALMOST GOT HIT TRYING TO GET ACROSS. WE HAVE HAD THIS TRANSMISSION FIXED MULTIPLE TIMES FOR THE SAME ISSUE. THIS CAR IS NOT SAFE!

I CALLED WASHINGTON FORD IN WASHINGTON, PA ON 1/17/2019 REGARDING A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT DUE TO FORD FOCUS RECALL (PURGE VALVE). THEY SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT FOR 1/30/2019 TO FIX THE RECALL. TOOK MY CAR IN ON THE EVE OF 1/29/2019 AND DROPPED IT OFF. THEY CALLED ME THE FOLLOWING DAY TO SAY THEY DIDNT HAVE THE PART AVAILABLE. THEY INSTRUCTED ME TO PICK UP MY CAR AND SAID THEY WOULD CALL WHEN PART CAME IN. I HAD AN INSPECTION SCHEDULED FOR 2/7/2019 AND THEY TOLD ME IT WOULD COME IN PRIOR TO MY INSPECTION. I NEVER HEARD FROM THEM BUT CALLED BACK A FEW TIMES, TELLING THEM I HAD NEW CODES COMING UP ON MY OBD SENSOR (FIXD) THE CAR HAD BEEN RUNNING ROUGH, STALLING OUT WHILE IDLING/STOPPED.. THEY ASSURED ME IT WAS SAFE TO DRIVE. THEY DID NOT GET PART IN BY 2/7/2019 AND I MISSED MY INSPECTION. TWO NEW CODES CAME UP ON MY CAR AND I CALLED ANGRILY ON 2/14/2019 TO ASK IF THEY NEED ME TO TAKE CAR TO A DIFFERENT LOCATION, AND THEY TOLD ME THEY WERE JUST ABOUT TO CALL ME TO TELL ME PARTS CAME IN.. WE SCHEDULED FOR 2/22/2019 TO HAVE RECALL FIXED. THEY TOLD ME RENTAL CARS AREN'T COVERED UNDER THIS RECALL WHEN I EXPLAINED THE PROBLEMS WITH SCHEDULING SO MANY APPOINTMENTS AND HAVING DIFFICULTY FINDING OTHER TRANSPORTATION. ON 2/17/2019 MY CAR SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING, ON A MAJOR ROAD (ROUTE 40). I WAS ABLE TO COAST DOWN A SIDE STREET AND PULL INTO DRIVEWAY AT THE BOTTOM OF THE HILL. HAD THE DEALERSHIP FIXED THE PROBLEM THE DAY THEY ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED ME, I WOULD HAVE A WORKING CAR.
