THE EXCESSIVE VACCUUM MAY RESULT IN AN ENGINE STALL WHILE DRIVING, WITHOUT WARNING AND WITHOUT THE ABILITY TO RESTART THE VEHICLE, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH. VERY DANGEROUS. CONSTANTLY BATTLING WITH THIS CAR DAILY.

THE HORN AND TAIL LIGHTS WERE REPAIRED, BUT NOT THE POWER TRAIN AND ENGINE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 86,514.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT NO RECALL WAS ASSOCIATED WITH THE VIN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 51,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE NEW CLUTCH FAILED. SHORTLY AFTER, THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED AGAIN BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 89,000.
CAR SHUDDERS AND FEELS LIKE TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS. REPLACED CLUTCH UNDER WARRANTY AT 31,000 MILES AND NOW AT 75,000 IS IS GONE AGAIN. OVER $1,200 REPAIR NOT COVERED BY FORD.
RADIO KEEPS SHUTTING OFF AND MAKING A CRACKLING NOISE THRU SPEAKERS, WILL NOT WORK FOR DAYS AT TIME AND ALSO GOING DOWN ROAD THE CAR COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN AND STARTED BACK ON IT'S OWN. THE CRACKLING NOISE IS ON GOING WITH OR WITHOUT KEY IN IGNITION , ALSO AFTER FILLING ALL THE WAY UP WITH GAS CAR DOESN'T WANT TO START BACK UP, SAFETY LIGHT STAYS ON
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD FOCUS. WHILE DRIVING, THE FUEL GAUGE DROPPED QUICKLY WITHOUT WARNING EVEN WHEN THE VEHICLE HAD A FULL TANK OF FUEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DARCARS FORD LANHAM (LOCATED AT 9020 LANHAM SEVERN RD, LANHAM, MD 20706, (301) 459-1100) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED, BUT A FAILURE COULD NOT BE FOUND. THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL CANISTER SEIZED, WHICH DAMAGED THE FUEL PUMP AND CAUSED THE FUEL TANK TO IMPLODE. BOTH COMPONENTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 53,166.

THE CONTACT ALSO STATED WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH HE STARTED SMELLING GASOLINE IN THE CABIN OF THE VEHICLE AND PULLED OVER TO ADDRESS THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT STATED HE PLACED A RUBBER HOSE OVER THE GAS LINE. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE HAD FAULTY WIRING AND THE BATTERY WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN JOHN MEGEL CHEVROLET,LLC (1392 GA-400, DAWSONVILLE, GA 30534) BUT NO REPAIRS WERE MADE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THIS FAILURE BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE CONTACT WAS REFERENCING THIS FAILURE TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V515000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE) HOWEVER THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD FOCUS. WHEN ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE FROM A STOP, THE VEHICLE SHUDDERED, HESITATED, AND VIBRATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THAYER FORD (18039 N. DIXIE HWY, BOILING GREEN, OH) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CLUTCH AND SEAL KIT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE CLUTCH AND INNER INPUT SHAFT SEALS WERE PREVIOUSLY REPLACED AND THE TRANSMISSION WAS REPROGRAMMED IN AUGUST OF 2017, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 78,000.
AFTER HAVING THE WIPERS REPLACED DURING LAST SERVICE TODAY THE WIPERS BEGAN TO STOP MID WINDSHIELD AND PASSENGER SIDE WOULD JUST DROP DOWN ALL THE WAY AND THEN DRIVER SIDE WOULD DROP AFTERWARDS AND THEY MAY STOP AND START AT WILL. NEVER HAD AN ISSUE TILL THE WIPERS WERE REPLACED BY THE DEALER DURING ROUTINE OIL CHANGE SERVICE. DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND ITS RAIN GIN TO HAVE WIPERS JUST STOP IS A SAFETY CONCERN.
30 MPH CAR CRASH, IN A CITY ENVIRONMENT. THE FRONT END OF MY CAR WAS COMPLETELY DESTROYED AND AIRBAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY NOR DID MY SEAT BELTS LOCK DURING HARD BRAKING, AS I CRASHED INTO A TRUCK. MY BODY WENT FORWARD AND MY HEAD STRUCK THE STREERING WHEEL, RESULTING IN A CONCUSSION. I PROVIDED A PHOTO OF THE CRASH AND HAVE MORE INCLUDING PHOTOS OF INSIDE OF THE VEHICLE WITH NO AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT.
THE TRANSMISSION CLUTCHES SLIP SO BAD IN THESE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS. WHEN YOU PULL ACROSS AN INTERSECTION SOMETIMES IT DON'T CATCH AND IT HESITATES. YOU DON'T KNOW IF IT'S GOING TO STALL OR NOT. IT'S WORSE ON STOP AND GO TRAFFIC. I WAS TOLD THE CLUTCHES ARE UNDER EXTENDED WARRANTY FROM A LAWSUIT. MY VEHICLE WAS MADE ON 9/24/2013. SUPPOSEDLY THE CUTOFF DATE WAS JUNE OF THAT YEAR. THESE CARS ARE FAULTY. I PULLED OUT ACROSS A MEDIAN AND THE CAR TOOK OFF THEN HESITATED. RIGHT AS TRAFFIC WAS APPROACHING
TAKATA RECALL AMONGST THE KNOWN RECALLS, IS A LOT OF UNSAID ISSUES WITH THIS VEHICLE. IT STARTED WITH THE TCM. WHEN I HAD THE DEALER FIX IT, THE CODES WERE SHOWING OK BUT THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO DISPLAY THE SAME ISSUES WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE. FOR SOME REASON WHEN DRIVING, IT SEEMS AS IF I'M DRIVING A MANUAL VEHICLE INSTEAD OF A AUTOMATIC. THE CLUTCH IS GIVING ME PROBLEMS. IT TEND TO GET STUCK IN THE HILL ASSIST MODE. A FEW WEEKS AGO MY CAR JUST DIED. IT SEEMED TO BE THE BATTERY. WHEN REPLACED IT WAS OK FOR A DAY OR SO. I HAD IT CHECKED TO SEE IF MY ALTERNATOR WAS BAD. IT BOTH PLACES STAYED IT WAS FINE. PERIODICALLY IT WOULD STOP. IT DIDN'T SEEM LIKE THERE WHERE ANY DETERMINING FACTORS ON WHEN (LIKE COLD OR HOT WEATHER). SO I DROVE IT LESS. ONE DAY WHEN DRIVING, GOING 46 MPH, IT JUST SHUT DOWN. THE SCREEN SHOWED 'NOT IN PARK', STARTING SYSTEM FAULT AND IT WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO PLACE THE VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL. IT THEN BEGAN TO START AND STOP WHENEVER. THE GROUNDS WERE CHECKED, THE STARTER, THE ALTERNATOR, THE FUSE AND ORHERS. MY HORN WOULD SOMETIMES GO OUT FOR DAYS, UP TO WEEKS. WHEN TRYING TO START THE CAR, IT WOULD EVENTUALLY FLASH 'NORMAL MODE'. IT'S SO MANY THINGS GOING ON HERE! I FEAR ALL THE TIME WITH THIS CAR. WHEN THE TCM STARTED ACTING UP, IT STOPPED WHILE DRIVING TOO. I'M A MOTHER OF 5, I'VE HAS THIS CAR FOR 4 YEARS AS FOR THE PAST 2YRS I'VE BEEN LIVING IN FEAR OF MY CHILDREN AND I DYING IN THIS CAR. I'VE SPENT MORE MONEY BUYING RENTALS AND HAVING OTHERS ASSIST WITH TRANSPORTATION WHEN THIS CAR ACTS UP, I COULD'VE PAID HALF OF MY LAST 2YRS OFF. THIS IS NOT FAIR BECAUSE EVERYONE DOESN'T HAVE THE ABILITY TO JUST GET UP A GO TRADE IN A CAR OR WALK AWAY. I'VE BEEN HAVING DIFFERENT PROBLEMS FOR OVER 2 YRS NOW BUT WHEN IT SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, IT WAS IN THE BEGINNING OF SEPTEMBER 2018 (THIS MONTH) IT GOT WORST AND I HAD IT TOWED TO THE DEALER.

THE VEHICLE WAS ALSO TAKEN TO MORE THAN ONE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING, BUT WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V735000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE), BUT IT WAS UNSURE IF THE FAILURES WERE RELATED. THE PART FOR THE RECALL REPAIR WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
HELLO, I'M SEEKING HELP FROM YOUR DEPARTMENT AS I AM AN OWNER OF A FORD 2014 FOCUS. I'VE HAD THREE TRANSMISSION/CLUTCH REPLACEMENTS AFTER PURCHASING THE CAR BRAND NEW IN 2014. USUALLY THE CAR BECOMES UNSTABLE/JERKY WHEN DRIVING WHICH SIGNALLED A CLUTCH REPLACEMENT. HOWEVER OVER THE PAST TWO MONTHS AFTER TWO MORE CLUTCH REPLACEMENTS THE TRANSMISSION/ENGINE CEASED WHILE DRIVING IN TOWSON MD INNER CITY STREETS. THE FIRST BEING EXACTLY OVER TWO WEEKS AGO AND WHICH A NEW CLUTCH WAS INSTALLED. I PICKED UP THE VEHICLE AND TWO DAYS LATER CALLED THE DELEARSHIP STATING IT IS STILL NOT DRIVING RIGHT. I COULD FEEL SOMETHING WAS WRONG. I NOTICED SUDDEN JERKS AND WHAT SEEMED LIKE THE TRANSMISSION WAS WEARING OFF AGAIN. I WAS INFORMED BY THE SERVICE PERSON MIKE MAZOR THAT THIS IS NORMAL AND THE ADAPTIVE SYSTEMS WILL HAVE TO GET USED TO MY DRIVING PATTERN AND TO GIVE IT 1000 MILES. I EXPRESSED MY CONCERN THAT SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE BECAUSE THE VEHICLE FELT UNSAFE TO DRIVE. TWO DAYS LATER WHILE TRAVELING ON INTERSTATE ROUTE 40, THE CAR SUDDENLY DECELERATED, MADE A LOUD ROARING SOUND AND WHEN I PUSHED ON THE PEDAL IT SEEMED AS IF IT WAS ON NEUTRAL AND DID NOT WANT TO MOVE. ALL I HEARD WAS THE ENGINE RERVE. EXTREMELY PANICKED AND SCARED I QUICKLY MOVED OVER TO THE YELLOW LINE WITHOUT CAUSING AN ACCIDENT OR INJURING MYSELF. I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THE DELEARSHIP CLOSEBY AS I FELT VERY UNSAFE DRIVING ANY FURTHER. I WAS INFORMED TODAY BY ALPACKER FORD THAT THEY WORKED ON THE VEHICLE AND THE ENGINE LIGHT IS NO LONGER ON, THE CAR RUNS JUST FINE. THEY WILL BE DOING ONE MORE TEST TOMORROW TO SEE IF THEY CAN REPLICATE THE PROBLEM. I'M TOTALLY BAFFLED AS TO HOW THE ENGINE LIGHT TURNED OFF OR WHY THEY CAN'T FIND THE ISSUE. I'M AFRAID THIS CAR IS GOING TO CAUSE A TERRIBLE ACCIDENT IF I KEEP DRIVING AND AND PLEADING HELP FROM YOUR DEPARTMENT TO GET FORD TO FIND THE FAULT AND FIX URGENTLY.
AFTER HAVING THE BATTERY REPLACED I DROVE AWAY AND THE WIPERS CAME ON ALL BY THEMSELVES AND ONLY SHUT OFF AFTER THE CAR HAD BEEN TURNED OFF FOR 15MIN OR SO. THE NEXT DAY THE WIPERS WONT COME ON AT ALL.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (LOOKOUT FORD, 5557 US-70, MOREHEAD CITY, NC 28557) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE FAILED AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 68,500.
CAR HAS BEEN IN DEALER AT FRED GRANDE FORD FOR OVER A MONTH FOR RECALLS ON TRANSMISSION AND FUEL TANK NO RESOLUTION RECALL 18 V DASH 735 AND TRANSMISSION SHUTTER DEALERSHIP WILL NOT REPAIR A VEHICLE AND IS TRYING TO CHARGE ME A FEE FOR A RECALL
BOUGHT CAR NEW. AUTO TRANS CLUTCH ASSEMBLY HAD TO BE REPLACED AT 40,000 MILES IN JULY 2017. TOOK BACK TO DEALERSHIP IN AUGUST 2018 BECAUSE PART FAULTY AGAIN. DEALER WANTS ME TO PAY $1,200. FORD WILL NOT COVER THE REPLACEMENT.
MY CAR WOULD STALL WHEN I WAS TURNING OR DRIVING, BUT AT FIRST I COULD TURN IT OFF AND BACK ON AND IT WOULD RUN JUST FINE. THEN MY CAR STARTED SHOWING ME THAT I HAD A FULL TANK OF GAS WHEN I DIDN'T. I FOUND OUT THAT THE ISSUE IS THE GAS TANK, A $450 FIX. THESE PLASTIC GAS TANKS ARE COLLAPSING ON ITSELF, MY FRIEND HAD A 2012 FOCUS AND WAS TOLD THAT THE GAS TANK WAS SHRINKING AND THAT IT WOULD KEEP SHRINKING UNTIL THE GAS TANK WAS ALMOST COMPLETELY GONE. THIS NEEDS TO BE A RECALL!!!
ON 8/24/2018 I PULLED INTO A GAS STATION AND FILLED THE CAR UP. AS I WAS LEAVING I HEARD A GRINDING NOISE AS I TURNED THE STEERING WHEEL. I HAD NEVER HEARD ANY NOISE FROM TURNING BEFORE. AS I DROVE HOME 4.7 MILES THERE WERE NO TURNS, BUT THE ROAD DOES WIND A LITTLE BIT. AS I WAS DRIVING I NOTICED THE STEERING FELT A LITTLE "LOOSE" AND A LITTLE UNRESPONSIVE. THERE WERE NO LIGHTS OR WARNING SO I CONTINUED HOME WHERE I WOULD LOOK AT IT. WHERE THE ROAD CURVED I COULD HEAR A GRINDING SOUND AS TURNED THE STEERING WHEEL. NO SOUND WAS HEARD WHILE DRIVING STRAIGHT. WHEN I GOT TO MY BLOCK I MADE A RIGHT HAND TURN AND THE GRINDING NOISE WAS VERY PRONOUNCED. WHEN I TURNED LEFT ONTO MY STREET THE NOISE WAS JUST AS PRONOUNCED. WHEN IN MY DRIVEWAY I TURNED THE WHEEL WHILE PARKED AND THE GRINDING SOUND WAS AT THE SAME LEVEL. I TURNED THE ENGINE OFF AND TURNED THE STEERING WHEEL RIGHT AND LEFT AND THE GRINDING NOISE WAS THE SAME AS WHEN THE ENGINE WAS RUNNING. A COUPLE OF DAYS LATER I READ ABOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF IT BEING A STEERING ASSIST FAULT. I STARTED THE CAR AND CHECKED FOR WARNINGS AND LIGHTS AND THERE WERE NONE. I TURNED THE STEERING WHEEL AND GOT THE SAME GRINDING NOISE. THE NEXT DAY I JACKED THE CAR UP TO VISUALLY INSPECT THE STEERING LINKAGE AND CV AXLE. NO PLAY IN THE CV, NOTHING VISIBLY BROKEN IN THE STEERING. I TRIED TURNING THE WHEEL WITH THE CAR ON THE JACK STANDS AND NOW THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD NOT MOVE AT ALL. I REMOVED THE STANDS AND TRIED AGAIN TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL LEFT AND RIGHT, IT WOULD NOT TURN EITHER DIRECTION.
PURCHED VEHICLE MARCH 6TH 2015.GOT THE EXTENDED WARRENTY SINCE THEN THE TRANSMISSION WAS FIXED 3 TIMES AND NOW THE ELECTRONIC ASSIST STEERING WENT OUT WHILE PULLING IN MY DRIVE MAKING ME HIT MAILBOX AND MAKE DENT IN HOOD OF CAR.CALLED 3 DIFFERENT DEALERS AND ALL 3 SAID SORRY THAT'S NOT ON RECALL EVEN THOU THE SAME STEERING IS USED ON OTHER FORD VEHICLES AND ARE ON RECALL.MY WARRENTY OZ UP AND CAN NOT AFFORD TO FIX TRANSMISSION AND STEERING.THE TRANSMISSION WAS MOVED OUT TO A 5 YEAR 10K MILE WARRENTY.LIKE I SAID THEY FIXED UNDER WARRENTY 3 TIMES.THIS CAR IS A LEMON AND I HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO SEND IT BACK AND HOPEFULLY NOT BE CHARGED FOR THE CAR.

CAR SHUT OFF COMPLETELY WHILE MOVING 25 MILES AN HOUR ON A LOCAL STREET.. BATTERY WAS FUNCTIONING PERFECTLY. WHEN LOOKED AT BY THE DEALER WAS TOLD STARTER MOTOR WAS DEAD, THIS ALSO LATER CONFIRMED BY REPAIR TECHNICIAN AT ANOTHER FACILITY (RIVERSIDE SERVICE). STARTER MOTOR WOULD NOT HAVE HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE VEHICLE SHUTTING OFF COMPLETELY WHILE IN MOTION. AT THE SAME TIME STARTER MOTOR WAS REPLACED, 2 IGNITION COILS WERE IDENTIFIED AS FAILED OR FAILING. IN THE LAST 9 MONTHS A TOTAL OF 4 IGNITION COILS HAVE FAILED. FORD HAS NOT IDENTIFIED THE PROBLEM WITH THE VEHICLE, MERELY REPLACED BROKEN PARTS. THEY HAVE NOT ADDRESSED IN ANY WAY THE DANGEROUS CONDITION POSED BY MY CAR'S STALLING ON AN ACTIVE ROADWAY.
ON MY WAY HOME TOWARDS THE END OF AUGUST AND BEGINNING OF SEPTEMBER 2018 THE POWER STEERING IN MY CAR STARTED TO GO OUT AND I WAS SAFELY ABLE TO DRIVE MY CAR TO A LOCATION NEAR AN INTERSECTION BEFORE THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT COMPLETELY
BACK PASSENGER DOOR DOES NOT LATCH CLOSED. WE DISCOVERED THIS 8/19 BECAUSE WE WERE DRIVING, AND WHEN WE STOPPED THE BACK DOOR OPENED AND THEN MADE THE SOUND LIKE IT WAS GOING TO CLOSE, BUT IT NEVER DID. TRIED MULTIPLE TIMES TO CLOSE THE DOOR BUT IT NEVER LATCHED SHUT. TRIED TO TURN THE LATCH ITSELF IN THE DOOR, THAT WASN'T THE PROBLEM. 1.5 MILLION CARS MADE BY FORD, INCLUDING 2013-15 FORD FOCUSES, WERE RECALLED IN 2016 FOR THE EXACT SAME ISSUE. WE BOUGHT THIS CAR USED ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO AND NOW THE BACK DOOR NO LONGER LATCHES. BARELY HAVE 30,000 MILES ON THE CAR. TWO DIFFERENT DEALERSHIPS STATED THAT OUR VIN NUMBER IS NOT CONSIDERED TO HAVE THIS RECALL AND REFUSED TO REPLACE THE DOOR/LATCH UNLESS WE PAY. EVEN THOUGH WE OBVIOUSLY HAVE THE EXACT PROBLEM AS DESCRIBED IN THEIR PUBLIC MEDIA STATEMENT BACK IN SEPT. 2016. SO WE SPENT $680 TO REPAIR SOMETHING THAT THE FORD DEALERSHIP SHOULD HAVE FIXED BEFORE EVEN SELLING US THE CAR. THEY, APPARENTLY, WOULD PREFER US DRIVING IN A CAR THAT'S CREATING A HAZARD TO OURSELVES AND OTHER DRIVERS THAN ACTUALLY FIX THEIR MISTAKES AND KEEP PEOPLE SAFE.
FORD (MULTIPLE MODELS AND YEARS) DOOR LATCH RECALL. I HAD ALREADY SUBMITTED A REQUEST TO ADD OUR VEHICLE TO THE RECALL LIST. FORD STARTED A RECALL REGARDING THE LATCH ON THEIR DOORS MALFUNCTIONING, CAUSING THEM TO JUST SWING OPEN AND NOT STAY CLOSED. OUR 2014 FORD FOCUS HAD THIS PROBLEM DESPITE US TRYING TO FIX IT AND CLOSE THE PASSENGER SIDE BACK DOOR MULTIPLE TIMES. FORD REFUSED TO FIX THE PROBLEM WITHOUT CHARGING US BECAUSE OUR VIN NUMBER WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL, BUT WE STILL HAD THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM.
THE CAR "BUCKS" WHEN SHIFTING THROUGH THE GEARS. THIS IS AN AUTOMATIC. I HAVE HAD THE CAR FOR THREE YEARS. IT WAS PURCHASED AS A USED RENTAL CAR WITH 30,000 MILES, IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY. WITHIN THREE MONTHS I HAD A CLUTCH REPLACED. LESS THAN A YEAR LATER, THE CLUTCH WAS REPLACED AGAIN. NOW, LESS THAN TEN MONTHS LATER, THE CLUTCH HAS GONE BAD AGAIN. (THAN 25,000 MILES). I WAS TOLD THAT THIS WILL NOT BE COVERED. I WAS TOLD THAT I AM NOT THE ONLY CUSTOMER THAT HAS HAD THIS EXPERIENCE WITH CLUTCHES.
2014 FORD FOCUS HAS SHUT DOWN WHILE DRIVING TWO TIMES. ONCE IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY ROAD I WAS ABLE TO COAST THE CAR INTO A PARKING LOT. THE SECOND TIME IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD, BOTH TIMES TRANMISSUON FAULT SERVICE NOW FLASHED, THE CAR SHUDDERED UNTIL IT WAS AT A COMPLETE STOP. I'VE HAD THE CLUTCH REPLACED/FIXED 2 TIMES NEITHER COVERED UNDER FULLY AND I WAS RESPONSIBLE TO PAY MY WARRANTY DEDUCTIBLE. I HAVE HAD THE TRANDMISSION CONTROL MODULE FIXED ONCE AND NOW IN THE SHOP AGAIN, BUT WAS TOLD THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THE ISSUE IS, HAVEN'T SEEN THE CODES THAT POPULATED BEFORE. EACH TIME I DRIVE THAT CAR I LITERALLY RISK MY LIFE, TO HAVE A CAR JUST DROP RPM TO 0, SHUDDER AND JERK UNTIL I CAN FIND SOMEWHERE TO PARK IT. I DRIVE 40 MILES ONE WAY TO WORK TAKING UP TO 5 DIFFERENT FREEWAYS. AT WHAT POINT DOES MY SAFETY AND THOSE DRIVING AROUND ME BECOME AN ISSUE? WHEN I STALL OUT MID HIGHWAY? WHEN THE CAR JERKS TO A STOP AND SOMEONE SLAMS INTO ME? EACH TIME THE CAR HAS BEEN TAKEN IN, I AM TOLD THE PROBLEM IS FIXED, YET I FIND MYSELF BACK AGAIN WITHIN MONTHS FOR THE SAME ISSUE. LOSING POWER ON A CAR WHILE BEING IN FULL MOTION GOING UP TO 45 MPH, IS NOT SAFE FOR ANYONE. HAVING TO DRIVE A CAR THAT CONSISTENTLY SHAKES AND JERKS WHILE IN MOTION, IS NOT SAFE. HOW MANY MORE TIMES DOES THIS NEED TO OCCUR BEFORE SOMEONE REALIZES THIS MODEL IS NOT SAFE!

THE VEHICLE SHUTTERED AND SHOOK ABNORMALLY. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THE SPEED DECELERATED TO 0 AND THE CONTACT QUICKLY MANEUVERED THE VEHICLE TO PREVENT A CRASH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER, BUT THE CONTACT WAS UNCERTAIN IF THE MANUFACTURER HAD A PERMANENT REMEDY. IN ADDITION, THE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES FLICKERED WHEN CHECKED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,574.
