THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO THE NHTSA FOR ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 120,000.

THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATION 96,000.
LOSE TRACTION, DELAY BETWEEN GEARS, SLIDE CLUTCH, THE CAR STARTSSHAKING. WHEN IS IN MOTION
VEHICLE SHUDDERS WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A STOP. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS MY VEHICLE HAS STALLED WHILE ACCELERATING ONTO THE FREEWAY, PUTTING ME AT RISK OF BEING REAR ENDED. I TOOK MY FORD FOCUS IN TO A FORD DEALERSHIP AND WAS INFORMED THAT MY CLUTCH HAD FAILED, BUT THAT IT ALSO HAD PREVIOUSLY BEEN REPLACED JUST 2.5 YEARS PRIOR. MY CAR IS A 2016 WITH UNDER 70,000 MILES. I WAS INFORMED OF A LAWSUIT INVOLVING THE TRANSMISSION IN THE FORD FOCUS FOR THE YEAR OF MY VEHICLE, BUT WAS THEN ADVISED THAT MY TRANSMISSION IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THE SETTLEMENT AND REPLACEMENT. I HAVE KEPT UP ON REGULAR OIL CHANGES AND VEHICLE MAINTENANCE. THE CLUTCH SHOULD NOT FAIL TWICE WITHIN 3 YEARS.

ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON WITH "ENGINE FAULT SERVICE NOW" MESSAGE. THE VEHICLE WENT INTO LIMP MODE AND FINALLY CAR SHUT DOWN. I TOOK INTO A FORD DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID THE TURBO AND ENGINE WERE NOT GETTING FUEL ON THE HIGHWAY PUMPED INTO THEM AND WOULD BOTH NEED REPLACED.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND REMAINED ILLUMINATED. ADDITIONALLY, AFTER REFUELING THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE STALLED SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE STARTING TO OPERATE AS INTENDED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO RISER FORD LINCOLN LOCATED AT (4201 CENTRAL AVE, HOT SPRINGS AR) WHERE THE POWER TRAIN CONTROL MODULE WAS REPROGRAMMED UNDER THE NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER 18V735000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE) HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000.
The contact owns a 2016 Ford Focus. The contact stated that on multiple occasions after moving off from a stop signal, there was hesitancy and jerking when the gear shifter was shifted from 1st to 2nd gear, and from 2nd to 3rd gear. The failure persisted; however, no warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the transmission was faulty. The contact was made aware of NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V845000 (Power Train) however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and was advised the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA Hotline. The approximate failure mileage was 95,000.
TRANSMISSION MODULE WAS GOING 60 CAR WHEN TO 30 MPH, CAR CAN GO IN REV WAS INFORMED BY DEALER. CAR WONT START ON COLD OR WARM DAYS NOT BATTERY, CLICKS AFTER TRYING TO START AND TURN OFF.
I'VE GOTTEN MY VEHICLE'S TRANSMISSION SERVICED TWICE IN THE LAST YEAR UNDER WARRANTY FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. THE TRANSMISSION'S CLUTCHES WERE REPLACED TO SUPPOSEDLY FIX PROBLEMS WITH THE VEHICLE LACKING ACCELERATION AND ROUGH SHIFTING. EVEN AFTER GETTING THE TRANSMISSION SERVICED, THE VEHICLE STILL SUFFERED THE SAME SYMPTOMS. THE MOST EXTREME PROBLEM/CONCERN IS THAT THE VEHICLE SOMETIMES GOES INTO NEUTRAL ALTHOUGH IT'S IN 'DRIVE'.VEHICLE CURRENTLY HAS 78,000 MILES.
WIPERS SUDDENLY STOPPED WORKING WHILE IT WAS RAINING CAUSING A SERIOUS SAFETY RISK. COULDN'T CONTINUE TO DRIVE SO WAS PULLED OVER ON SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY UNTIL RAIN STOPPED. LATER WIPERS CAME ON BY THEMSELVES WHILE SWITCH WAS TURNED TO OFF POSITION AND WOULD NOT TURN OFF UNTIL FUSE WAS PULLED. HAVE REPLACED MOTORS AND SWITCH AND THEY HAVEN'T BEEN REPAIRED. NO LONGER WORKING AT ALL WITH NO RESPONSE TO THE SWITCH AT ALL.
I WAS DRIVING TO WORK AND NOTICED A HITCH IN THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION'S GEAR SHIFTING. IT FELT LIKE IT WAS SLOWING DOWN AT MOMENTS WHILE I ACCELERATED. IT WOULD KICK BACK IN DURING THOSE MOMENTS AND START TO WORK AS NORMAL. WHEN I LEFT WORK AT A LATER DATE MY CAR DID NOT ACCELERATE PROPERLY AS I WAS MERGING ONTO A HIGHWAY RAMP FROM ANOTHER RAMP. A CAR THAT WAS COMING DOWN THE BLVD ALMOST HIT ME BUT I RODE OFF TO THE SHOULDER BEYOND THE FIRST RAMP ONTO THE SECOND ENTRANCE. AS I DROVE HOME I NOTICED A WORSE LOSS OF POWER TO THE POINT OF A FEEL OF ALMOST SHUTTING DOWN AS I DROVE HOME. AS I WAS PARKING I NOTICED MY CAR WAS NOT WORKING IN DRIVE. IT FELT LIKE IT WAS IN NEUTRAL. I HAD TO PUT IT IN PARK THEN BACK TO DRIVE TO GET IT TO GO FORWARD. ONE THING I NOTICE ABOUT A YEAR AGO WAS THAT THE LOW GEAR WAS FAR SLOWER THAN OTHER CARS I HAD IN THE PAST. I MENTIONED IT TO A PERSON AT THE DESK AT FORD'S REPAIR DEPARTMENT AND THEY SAID THAT THE LOW GEAR WAS JUST SLOWER THAN IT IS ON OTHER CARS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2016 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A HEAD ON CRASH AND ONLY THE AIR BAG UNDERNEATH THE STEERING WHEEL DEPLOYED. THE CONTACT FELT THAT THE AIR BAG PARTIALLY DEPLOYED AS TO THERE WAS A POWDER SUBSTANCE AND AN UNUSUAL ODOR FROM THE AIR BAG. THE SENSOR INDICATED THAT THE AIR BAGS WERE ON AND ACTIVE BEFORE THE CRASH. THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS TRAVELING ONLY 5 MPH, BUT THE OTHER VEHICLE WAS TRAVELING 30 MPH. ALL THE AIR BAGS IN THE OTHER VEHICLE DEPLOYED EVEN THOSE IN THE BACK SEAT. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A NECK STRAIN AND BRUISES FROM THE SEAT BELT RESTRAINT. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS NOT RECEIVED. THE ENTIRE ENGINE DROPPED DOWN AFTER THE CRASH AND DEBRIS WAS THROWN ACROSS THE STREET. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED TO A JUNK YARD. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 101,800. THE VIN WAS INVALID.
I BOUGHT THE CAR AT A FORD DEALER IN MARCH OF THIS YEAR AND WAS STEERED INTO IT WITHOUT ANY MENTION OF THE TRANNY AND CLUTCH PROBLEMS. SURE ENOUGH THE CLUTCH IS SLIPPING AT ONLY 12000 MILES! WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR A CLUTCH TO COME IN FOR 10 DAYS SO FAR. I CONTACTED FORD AND THEY JUST SAID THEY WOULD KEEP FIXING IT. I CAN`T BELIEVE THAT THEY WERE ALLOWED TO KEEP SELLING THESE CARS KNOWING THE PROBLEMS THAT THEY HAD! WE TOLD THEM WE WERE BUYING A CAR TO GET BACK AND FORTH TO THE CITY WHEN MY BF GETS HIS KIDNEY TRANSPLANT AND THIS IS WHAT WE ARE STUCK PAYING FOR FOR OVER 5 MORE YEARS AND THEY SAY THERE IS NO PERMANENT FIX! WE ARE SCARED TO EVEN DRIVE IT! IT JERKS INTO GEAR FROM LOW TO 2 AND SOMETIMES HESITATES. IF IT DOES THIS AT THE WRONG TIME, IT COULD GET US KILLED!
The contact owns a 2016 Ford Focus. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V845000 (Power Train). The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the recall repair was performed. After the recall repair was performed, the contact stated that the transmission would intermittently shudder while depressing the accelerator pedal. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken back to several dealers where the transmission clutch had been replaced multiple times; however, the failure persisted after the repairs. The contact stated that the vehicle had been repaired five times for the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The vehicle was recently repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 13,000.
CAR HAS BEEN VIBRATING WHENEVER ACCELERATING SINCE THE FIRST 6 MONTHS AFTER IT WAS PURCHASED. CAR WAS PURCHASED IN 2016. STARTED STALLING A FEW MONTHS AGO AFTER ANY STOPS. THOUGHT MAYBE TRANSMISSION OIL WAS LOW OR DIRTY SO I HAD IT CHANGED. RIGHT AFTER OIL CHANGE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND CAR BEGAN DRIVING AS IT WOULD GET STUCK. HAD THE CAR CODED AND IT CAME BACK THAT THE CLUTCH WAS GETTING JAMMED. WHEN I CONTACTED FORD THEY SAID THIS WAS A KNOWN PROBLEM AND THAT THEY WOULD FIX IT AS LONG AS I WAS UNDER 100K. I AM AN UBER DRIVER FULL TIME AND MY CAR IS OVER 100K. CALLED FORD RECALL OFFICE AND THEY TOLD ME I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED OF THIS EXTENDED WARRANTY BECAUSE MY CAR DIDN'T FALL UNDER THE YEAR OF THE CLUTCH ISSUES. FORD HAS BEEN TRYING TO BUY BACK MY CAR 4MONTHS SINCE I DROVE OFF THE LOT AND I SHOULD OF KNEW THAT WAS A RED FLAG. I AM CURRENTLY SPENDING 55 DOLLAR A DAY ON A RENTAL SO THAT I MAY CONTINUE DOING UBER WHICH IS HOW I EARN MY INCOME. I DO NOT WANT TO PAY MONEY TO GET THIS CAR FIXED AND THEN ANOTHER ISSUE ARISES.

THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V479000 (POWER TRAIN). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 21,000.
WHILE DRIVING 70MPH ON THE HIGHWAY - THE CAR IMMEDIATELY SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL AND THEN AFTER A SHORT PERIOD, SLAMMED INTO A LOWER GEAR. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN BAD IF THERE WAS ANY TRAFFIC AS THE CAR IMMEDIATELY SLOWED DOWN.

AFTER RECEIVING THE NOTICE, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD STALL AND TURN OFF WITHOUT WARNING WHEN APPROACHING A STOP. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO FRONTIER FORD (3701 STEVENS CREEK BLVD, SANTA CLARA, CA 95051, (408) 533-1488) WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE RECALL WAS FOR THE DEFORMATION OF THE FUEL TANK, NOT THE CANISTER PURGE VALVE. WHEN THE CONTACT NOTIFIED THE DEALER OF THE RECALL, HE WAS INFORMED THAT IT WAS A "PUBLIC SAFETY NOTICE". THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT HE WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS IN THE POSSESSION OF THE DEALER TO REPAIR THE FUEL TANK. THE CANISTER PURGE VALVE REMAINED UNREPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 62,000. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
VEHICLE HAS A INACCURATE FUEL GAUGE AND HESITATES WHEN REFUELING THE VEHICLE AND HAS A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON. THIS IS ABOUT 50% OF THE TIME AND IS MOST COMMON AFTER FILLING THE FUEL TANK.
AFTER DRIVING THE VEHICLE FOR ABOUT 2 HOURS I PULLED OVER ON A FLAT PARKING SPOT AND THEN PUT THE CAR IN REVERSE AND WHEN I PUSHED ON THE GAS THE VEHICLE LURCHED FORWARD ALMOST HITTING THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME I SWITCHED GEARS BACK IN TO DRIVE LOW THEN BACK TO PARK THEN BACK TO REVERSE AND IT STILL WANTED TO GO FORWARD. AFTER 4 TIMES GOING THROUGH THE GEARS IT FINALLY WENT INTO REVERSE.
THE LUG NUTS ON THIS VEHICLE ARE IMPROPERLY DESIGNED, AND THIS ISSUE IS WELL KNOW BY THE FORD DEALER, (FELIX SABATES FORD, CHARLOTTE, NC) AND TIRE SHOPS SUCH AS GOODYEAR. THE ALUMINUM OVER-CAP ON THEM BECOMES "SWELLED" AND DEFORMED TO THE POINT THAT A LUG WRENCH WILL NOT FIT ON THEM, AFTER ONLY A FEW USES. THIS CAN BE MORE THAN JUST A NUISANCE, AS IT CAN LEAVE SOMEONE STRANDED IN THE EVENT OF A FLAT TIRE. FORD REFUSED TO RECTIFY THE ISSUE WITH REPLACEMENT LUGS NUTS WHEN I CALLED THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE. THE DEALERSHIP HAS ALSO BEEN TOLD BY FORD THAT THEY HAVE NO INTENTION OF COMPENSATING THE DOZENS OF CUSTOMERS THAT THIS IS HAPPENING TO. I HAD TO PAY FOR AFTER-MARKET REPLACEMENTS. THERE IS NO WAY LUG NUTS SHOULD BE DEFECTIVE AFTER ONLY 3 YEARS (5 TIRE ROTATIONS), AND THE DEALER DID MOST OF THEM. I PAID $62 + 8% TAX FOR REPLACEMENTS (WHILE I WAS AT GOODYEAR). THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO CENTURY FORD OF MT. AIRY (302 CENTURY DR, MT AIRY, MD, (301) 829-2801), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
ENGINE CAUGHT FIRE 2 WEEKS AFTER SERVICE DEPT AT VIC BAILEY FORD REPLACED. INCIDENT REPORT. TOTAL LOSS AND LAWSUIT COMING IF NOT COMPENSATED FOR PROPERTY DAMAGE AND EMOTIONAL DISTRESS. ENGINE IGNITED WITH ME IN VEHICLE! SERVICE BAY RELEASED CAR TO ME 2 WEEKS AGO. TOLD THEM WAS NOT FIXED FOR 2 WEEKS WAITED ON APPT. OIL LIGHT CAME ON AFTER DROPPING OF DAUGHTER TO SCHOOL. MULTIPLE WITNESSES AND VIDEOS OF FIRE UNDER CAR AND THEN BLEW DUE TO HEAT SOURCE WHICH WAS ALL SUPPOSEDLY FIXED. I WAS DRIVING THE CAR AND PULLED OVER AS SOON AS OIL LIGHT CAME ON AND I SMELLED SMOKE. TURNED INTO NEAREST PARKING LOT OFF HIGHWAY 221, SPARTANBURG SC. ROEBUCK FIRE DEPT RESPONDED. WILL NOT DRIVER A VEHICLE FROM FORD EVER AGAIN!
I TOOK MY CAR IN FOR THE RECALL, AND THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE EVAP PURGE VALVE. AFTER GETTING IT FIXED I HAD TO RETURN THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP 2 WEEKS LATER BECAUSE IT DIES EVERY TIME I GET GAS, NOT THE PROBLEM I WAS HAVING BEFORE. THE DEALERSHIP DETERMINED THIS WAS BECAUSE FORD SENT OUT A FAULTY PART, AND THE FLAP ISN'T CLOSING ON THE VALVE. FORD WILL NOT FIX THE PROBLEM THE THE RECALL SAY IT IS A ONE TIME FIX, THE DEALERSHIP WILL ALSO NOT FIX THE PROBLEM AS THEY STATE IT IS IS FORDS RESPONSIBILITY.
THE VEHICLE IS EXPERIENCING A TRANSMISSION SHUTTER BUT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN THAT ALMOST CAUSED ME AN ACCIDENT AND NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. FORD MOTOR COMPANY IS NOT HELPING AND WANTS ME TO PAY OUT OF POCKET.
Oil pump failure 2 times in a role within 75,000 miles. Had to have a brand new engine replacement each time.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 FORD FOCUS. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50-65 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE PURGE SOLENOID SEIZED IN THE OPEN OR CLOSED POSITION, WHICH CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO STALL. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. ADDITIONALLY, THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED A SHUDDER IN THE TRANSMISSION AND HARD SHIFT BETWEEN GEARS WHILE BEING DRIVEN. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT, INTERMITTENTLY, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO SHIFT INTO REVERSE AFTER THE CLUTCH WAS REPLACED. THE FAILURE TO SHIFT INTO REVERSE WAS A NEW SYMPTOM THAT OCCURRED ONLY AFTER THE CLUTCH WAS REPLACED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT INFORMED OF THE FAILURES. TRANSMISSION ELEMENT STUCK ON NEUTRAL, FORD FOCUS 2016 , FORD SOLD THE CARS AND KNEW THERE WAS A PROBLEM. GEAR SIFTS IN NEUTRAL, MY CAR HESITATED IN A CROSSING AND MY CAR WAS HIT IN THE BACK DOOR. .THE CLUTCH SLIPS IN NEUTRAL, FORD USES DRY CLUTCHES IN THIS CAR FOR EFFICIENCY, BUT WET CLUTCHES WOULD BATHE THE FRICTION DISCS. FORD ISSUED DOCUMENTS WITH THE PROBLEM CODE DPS6, AROUND THE WORLD THEY HAVE HAD CLASS ACTION SUITS PERTAINING TO THIS PROBLEM.
I BOUGHT THIS 2016 FOCUS IN HOPES ON GIVING IT TO MY DAUGHTER BUT I WILL NOT, IT IS NOT A SAFE GAVE TO DRIVE. OUT OF NOWHERE IT WAS STRUGGLING TO GO INTO DRIVE GEAR AND THE REVERSE GEAR AND THEN I WAS JERKING REALLY BAD WHERE MY DAUGHTERS HEADS WE'RE HURTING BECAUSE OF ITSO I TOOK IT TO A FORD DEALERSHIP IN RIVERSIDE CALIFORNIA AND THEY ARE TRYING TO CHARGE ME NOW $3,000 AND THEY HAD IT FOR MORE THAN A MONTH NOW AND I AM ABOUT TO LOSE MY JOB BECAUSE OF THE SITUATION WITH THIS CAR FORD IS SAYING THAT THEY WOULD PAY FOR MY RENTAL BUT IT'S STILL BEING CHARGED TO MY CARD WHICH I AM BEING OVERDRAFT FOR AND I'M COMING IN MORE IN-DEPTH AND DEBT BECAUSE OF THIS CAR I AM A SINGLE MOTHER TRYING TO PROVIDE FOR MY CHILDREN ALL ON MY OWNTHIS IS UNACCEPTABLE OF FORD AND THIS SITUATION HAS CAUSED ME TO GO INTO AN ACCIDENT AND I END UP HITTING ANOTHER CARTHIS TRANSMISSION ISSUE SHOULD NOT BE AN EXPENSE I SHOULD BE PAYING FOR OR BECOMING IN DEBT FOR FORTUNE BE FULLY LIABLE FOR THE SITUATION
TRANSMISSION SHUDDER ISSUES THAT EVERY OTHER 2016 OR OLDER FORD FOCUS HAS BUT FOR SOME REASON MINE IS NOT COVERED BY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY.
ISSUE WITH THE CLUTCH. I HAVE TO REPLACE THE CLUTCH AGAIN ON MY CAR AND THERE APPEAR TO BE CONTINUED ISSUES WITH FORD FOCUS CLUTCHES. MY CAR WON'T SHIFT CORRECTLY AND I WAS TOLD INACCURATE INFORMATION BY TWO SEPARATE FORD DEALERSHIPS. THE CAR WON'T PROPERLY SHIFT WHEN GAINING SPEED AND FEELS LIKE IT IS GOING TO STALL. MY CAR DOES NOT SHIFT WELL ALL ALL TYPES OF ROADS, INCLUDING CITY STREETS AND HIGHWAYS. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES AND AN ONGOING ISSUE, NOT ONE OCCURRENCE. AFTER RESEARCHING FORD FOCUS CLUTCHES, THERE APPEARS TO BE A RECALL ON SOME VEHICLES. I WAS TOLD MY CAR IS NOT PART OF THIS RECALL. HOWEVER, MY CAR IS HAVING THE SAME ISSUES AS NOTED IN THE RECALL AND THIS SEEMS TO BE A POOR QUALITY CLUTCH MANUFACTURING ISSUES ON ALL FORD FOCUSES, NOT JUST THE SPECIFIC GROUP THAT WAS INITIALLY LISTED. I FEEL THAT MY CAR ALSO SHOULD BE A PART OF THIS RECALL AND THERE COULD BE MANY OTHER CUSTOMERS EXPERIENCING THIS AS WELL.

I SAW THAT THERE WAS A CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM (17B32) THAT STATS THAT THE MODEL CAR MADE IN A SPECIFIC PLANT AND WITHIN A CERTAIN TIME FRAME WERE MADE WITH THE WRONG HEAD GASKET THAT WILL END UP FAILING, I CHECKED WITH THE FORD CUSTOMER SUPPORT AND THEY CONFIRMED THAT MY VEHICLE WAS EFFECTED SINCE IT WAS MADE AT THAT TIME. THE VEHICLES VIN DOESN'T SHOW ANY RECALL AND THEY SAID I WOULD RECEIVE ONE BUT NEVER DID, THE RECALL WAS TO EXPIRE IN MAY 31 2019 AND MY VEHICLE CANT BE INSPECTED UNDER THE RECALL UNLESS I PAY FOR IT OUT OF POCKET SINCE IT EXPIRED.

MY CAR RUNS WELL BUT AFTER DRIVING MY CAR IN MOTION IT BEGINS SHAKING AND THEN IT TURNS OFF. I CRANKED MY CAR AGAIN AND IT RUNS GOOD IN A STREET BUT IT KEEPS DOING THE SAME THIN ALL OVER AGAIN.
AT HIGHWAY SPEED, VEHICLE WENT INTO LIMP MODE RESTRICTING THROTTLE RESPONSE WITH NO DASH INDICATORS. UNABLE TO ACCELERATE. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, NO MESSAGES, ALL GAUGES IN NORMAL RANGE. UNSAFE CONDITION WHEN VEHICLE RESPONDS VERY SLOWLY WITH NO INDICATOR FOR DRIVER. VEHICLE IS THE 1.0 L ECOBOOST WITH 6MT TRANSMISSION.
WHILE DRIVING WITHIN CITY LIMITS ON A DAILY BASIS, MY VEHICLE SHUTTERS FROM THE START AND AT ACCELERATION, SOMETIMES STALLS AS I START TO ECCELERATE FROM RED LIGHTS AND STOP SIGNS, CREATING POTENTIAL HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS. MY VEHICLE SHUTTERS WHEN ATTEMPTING TO SHIFT OUT OF 1ST GEAR, AND IS OFTEN ASSOCIATED WITH A LOUD NOISE. THE ISSUE HAS GRADUALLY INCREASED IN SEVERITY UNTIL LAST WEEK (10.01.19) MY CAR STALLED AT AN INTERSECTION AFTER STOPPING AT A RED LIGHT. AFTER TALKING WITH AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIANS AT A FORD DEALERSHIP THIS IS A RESULT OF A FAULTY CLUTCH SYSTEM. HOWEVER, AT THIS TIME FORD REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE ANY WRONGDOING IN REGARDS TO THIS PROBLEM IN MY MAKE AND MODEL.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON AND WHEN CHECKED AT AUTOZONE IT COMES BACK AS THE PVC WHICH IS A KNOW ISSUE WITH FOCUSES. ALSO, ON ONE OCCASSION, THE TRANSMISSION FAULT LIGHT CAME ON AND THAT IS ALSO A KNOW ISSUE WITH FOCUSES. MY VEHICLE OFTEN STALLS AT INTERSECTION WHEN I HAVE TO SLOW DOWN OR STOP AND IS DIFFICULT TO RESTART IN MOST CASES.
WHEN THE CAR WAS AT 55K, THE DUAL CLUTCH TRANSMISSION'S CLUTCHES WERE SLIPPING OUT OF GEAR FROM 1000-3000 RPM AND PRODUCED EXTREME JERKINESS. IT WOULD HAPPEN FROM A STOP AS WELL AS JUST DRIVING IN THAT RPM RANGE. I HAD TO GET MY INPUT SHAFT SEAL AND CLUTCHES REPLACED AT 56K. MIND YOU CLUTCHES ARE SUPPOSED TO LAST 100K ACCORDING TO FORD. ALSO WHILE BACKING UP THE CAR WOULD VIOLENTLY JERK AS THE CLUTCH WAS SLIPPING, IT WAS ALSO DIFFICULT TO GO UPHILL. THE CLUTCH REPAIR MADE IT FEEL BETTER, THE SHUDDER IS COMING BACK IN JUST 1000 MILES AT 57K. I AM AFRAID THAT THE CLUTCHES WILL SLIP AGAIN AND SHIFT INTO NEUTRAL WHILE DRIVING. I HAVE NO WARRANTY EITHER, I DON'T THINK I SHOULD BE EATING A COST OF ALMOST 2000 FOR A PROBLEM THAT SHOULD NOT EXIST. PLEASE GET A RECALL GOING FOR THIS...
