IN COLD WEATHER THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE DOOR WILL NOT CLOSE AND LATCH. THIS WAS ADDRESSED IN A RECALL (FORD RECALL NO. 06S45) SEVERAL YEARS AGO, BUT THE PROBLEM STILL PERSISTS. I HAVE TAKEN THIS VEHICLE BACK TO MY LOCAL FORD DEALER MULTIPLE TIMES WERE AN APPARENT "BANDAID" FIX IS USED BECAUSE THE DOOR WILL NOT LATCH IN COLD WEATHER. I BELIEVE THE LATCH SYSTEM IS FLAWED. WHEN IT DOES LATCH I HAVE NO CONFIDENCE IT WILL REMAIN LATCHED WHILE DRIVING.
I BOUGHT A 2005 FORD FREESTYLE LAST YEAR 2015,FOR MY DAUGHTER FOR HER FIRST STARTER VEHICLE. JUST LAST NIGHT THE DOOR LATCHES STARTED FREEZING UP AND THE DOOR WONT CLOSE AND OPENS WHILE DRIVING. APPARENTLY THERE IS A RECALL FOR THIS SO I CALLED FORD. THEY TOLD ME THE RECALL WAS TAKEN CARE OF IN 2006. THE PREVIOUS OWNER MAY HAVE HAD A GARAGE TO KEEP IT PROTECTED FROM COLD BUT I DON'T HAVE THAT OPTION. SINCE THE REPAIR WAS ALREADY DONE THEY WONT TAKE CARE OF IT AND IT IS MY PROBLEM TO REPAIR. I WOULD THING THIS IS A DANGEROUS SAFETY ISSUE AND THEY WOULD WANT TO TAKE CARE OF IT SINCE THE FIRST FIX DIDN'T WORK. MY DAUGHTER IS 17 AND NOW I HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THE DOOR OPENING WHILE SHE IS DRIVING EVERY TIME ITS COLD AND CAUSING AN ACCIDENT OR BEING INJURED HERSELF.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 140,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
WHILE DRIVING, MY '05 FORD FREESTYLE AWD LIMITED THE AIR & RADIO TURN OFF, ALONG WITH ALL OF THE LIGHTS ON THE DASH, ALL GAUGES BOTTOM OUT & THE TURN SIGNAL DOES NOT WORK. THIS LASTS FOR ABOUT 30-45 REPEATEDLY, IN QUICK SUCCESSION. YOU CANNOT SIGNAL A TURN OR KNOW SPEED WHEN THIS OCCURS WHICH IS A SAFETY ISSUE. THE BATTERY AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COME ON & SOMETIMES IT READS CHECK CHARGING SYSTEM. THIS HAPPENS ON LOCAL STREETS AND HIGHWAY DRIVING. I BELIEVE IT COMING FROM THE INSTRUMENT PANEL ITSELF. I HAVE SEEN THIS SAME COMPLAINT FROM MANY OTHERS HAS I RESEARCH THE ISSUE ON THE INTERNET. I'M NOT AWARE OF ANY RECALL, EVEN THOUGH FORD IS WELL AWARE OF THIS SAFETY CONDITION. THIS STARTED HAPPENING JANUARY 2016.

THE INSTRUMENT PANEL WON'T WORK.. MY REVERSE LIGHT STAY ON AND I CAN'T TELL WHAT THE GAUGES ARE READING SEEING AS THEY WONT WORK. THE ONLY LIGHT THAT ILLUMINATES IS THE AIR BAG LIGHT ON THE PANEL. MY RADIO LIGHTS WORK BUT NOTHING ELSE. I CAN'T TELL WHAT THE SPEED LIMIT IS NOTHING. HOW CAN ONE DRIVE A CAR WITH THE REVERSE LIGHTS CONSTANTLY ON AND NO DASH LIGHTS? THIS IS A FAMILY CAR I'V ONLY HAD IT A YEAR WITH ABOUT 73,000 MILES ON IT. I JUST SPENT 4,000 TO HAVE MY ENGINE FIXED 4 MONTHS AGO! HOW CAN THIS CAR BE SAFE? IT STARTED 12-27-15 AND IS STILL NOT WORKING TODAY. MOTION THE CAR WAS IN MOTION EXTREMELY RAINY FOR OHIO THIS TIME OF YEAR.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 170,000.

I GOT INTO THE CAR TO START IT AND THE ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON, AND I SMELLED SMOKE, THE CAR WAS PARKED IN MY GARAGE

THE INSPECTOR STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT TWO OR THREE YEARS BEFORE, RUST WAS DISCOVERED DURING ANOTHER STATE SAFETY INSPECTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO PERFORMED WELDING WORK TO THE SUBFRAME. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. PRIME FORD SACO (857 PORTLAND RD, SACO, ME 04072 (207) 282-0300) STATED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS FOR THE RUST FAILURE. SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY, THE DEALER OFFERED NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 52,000. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 130,000.
DOOR LATCH IS FROZEN CLOSED AND CANNOT GET DRIVERS SIDE DOOR TO OPEN. DISMANTLED ENTIRE CAR TO FIX ISSUE.
I BOUGHT THIS SUV 9-11-15 WITH THE INTENT TO GO TO MY VA APPOINTMENTS DUE TO MY MEDICAL CONDITIONS. THE OWNER STATED IT HAD A FEW PROBLEMS WITH THE TRANSMISSION, BUT I DID NOT KNOW THAT MUCH ABOUT AUTOMOBILES TO UNDERSTAND WHAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT. WHEN I GOT READY TO DRIVE THE CAR IT WOULD NOT CHANGE GEARS, JUST GOING FORWARD BUT COULD GO IN REVERSE. I HAD IT TOWED TO A FORD DEALERSHIP 35 MILES AWAY FROM MY HOME TO DIAGNOSIS THE PROBLEM. THEY STATED IT NEEDED A THROTTLE BODY TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM, BUT IT DID NOT, AND I HAD TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR WHICH THEY STATED IT WOULD IDLE DOWN THE CAR BEFORE THEY COULD DIAGNOSIS THE CORRECT PROBLEM. NOW THEY STATING I HAVE TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION IN THIS VEHICLE FOR $6000. I DO NOT HAVE THIS MUCH MONEY TO BUY A TRANSMISSION HAVING TO GO BACK AND FORTH TO MY APPOINTMENTS IN SC AND GA. WHY THIS VEHICLE HAS NO RECALLS ON POWERTRAIN, THROTTLE BODY, ETC WHICH THE DEALERSHIP STATE THEY DO NOT KNOW EXIST AND IS CHARGING ALL THIS MONEY FOR REPAIRS WHICH DO NOT WORK. I NEED SOME KIND OF A RESOLUTION IN THIS MATTER WITH THIS VEHICLE. I HATE TO JUNK THE VEHICLE BECAUSE IT IS IN PRISTINE CONDITION AND GREAT FOR MY TRAVELING TO THE DOCTORS.

WHILE TRAVELING AT 60 MPH, THE CHECK ENGINE AND WRENCH LIGHT CAME ON AND THE ENGINE WENT INTO FAILSAFE MODE WHICH IS IDLE ENGINE CONDITION WITH NO ACCELERATOR ACTION. ONLY STEERING AND BRAKING WERE AVAILABLE. THIS INCIDENT OCCURRED ON I-278 WHILE TRAVELING IN THE MIDDLE LANE OF FOUR LANES AND BECAME AN UNSAFE CONDITION WITH NO ABILITY TO SAFELY PULL OVER. I WAS ABLE TO MANEUVER RADICALLY TO THE SHOULDER WHILE OTHER DRIVERS BLEW THEIR HORNS WITH NO KNOWLEDGE OF MY PLIGHT. THE ENGINE WAS DIAGNOSED WITH CODE 2012 AND REQUIRED THE REPLACEMENT OF THE THROTTLE BODY WHICH CORRECTED THE CONDITION.

NOTICE CHECK E GINE ON DISPLAY PANEL AND WRENCH SYMBOL CAME ON AND WORDS "ENGINE IN FAILSAFE MODE" DISPLAY. 2. WHEN STANDING STILL, ENGINE YRUNNING... FOOT ON BRAKE . ENGINE IDLING. ..CAR BEGINS TO LUNGE FORWARD, ENGINE REVS UP WHEN LUNGING. 3. DURING 90 DEGREE WEATHER, DRIVING AT 55 MPH, TURNED ON AC. CAR IMMEDIATELY LOST POWER AND FAILSAFE MODE LIGHT CAME ON.

THE 60 PART OF THE 60/40 MIDDLE SEAT IS STUCK IN THE FOLDED DOWN POSITION. THE LATCH WAS ALWAYS DIFFICULT TO USE. I HAD TO REALLY YANK ON IT TO GET IT TO ENGAGE. NOW IT IS JUST BROKEN. I CAN ONLY SEAT 1 PERSON IN THE MIDDLE SEAT AND THE PASSENGERS IN THE 3RD SEAT CAN EXIT OUT OF ONLY 1 DOOR. THE REPLACEMENT PART IS EXPENSIVE AND FROM READING OTHER POSTINGS, IT WILL BREAK AGAIN. IT APPEARS TO BE A DESIGN FLAW.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND REMAINED INOPERABLE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,000.
WHILE ACCELERATING UP A HILL ,FELT A SURGE THEN DECELERATION TO 25-30 MPH. THIS HAS HAPPENED A NUMBER OF TIMES.MECHANIC RESEARCH CODES AND SAID IT WAS THE THROTTLE BODY. PE11018

WHILE DRIVING DOWN A 45 MPH ROAD, THE CAR LOST ALL POWER, NO ACCELERATION, THERE WAS A TRUCK BEHIND US THAT ALMOST HIT US. WE WERE ABLE TO PULL OVER , WE TURNED OFF THE CAR AND STARTED BACK UP AND CONTINUED DRIVING. WE TOOK THE CAR TO MECHANIC AND THEY DIAGNOSTICALLY TESTED IT AND HE SAID IMMEDIATLEY FOUR CODES PULLED UP POINTING TO THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY. WITH RESEARCH I FOUND OUT THAT EVEN IF YOU DID PAY FOR A NEW THROTTLE BODY OR CLEANING, IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN BECAUSE THE THROTTLE BODY MALFUNCTIONS ON ITSELF, IN ADDITION THROTTLE BODY WORKS HAND IN HAND WITH THE TRANSMISSION, TYPE CVR WHICH IS NOT MADE ANYMORE DO TO ITS FAILURES. FORD FAILED TO RECALL THIS VEHICLE AND ITS ELECTRONIC ENGINE ETB ON A CAR WHICH FORD ONLY MANUDACTURED FOR THREE YEARS, I WONDER WHY..... WELL WE COULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED, THANK GOD WE WEREN`T, BUT THE INVESTIGATION ON THE ETB SHOULD BE REOPENED FOR SAFETY ISSUES.
KEPT HAVING ISSUES STARTING THE VEHICLE ALONG WITH WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGH WAY NOT BEING ABLE TO GET UP TO THE SPEED NEEDED. TOOK IT TOO BEECHMONT FORD IN OHIO TODAY AND BECAUSE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WOULD COME ON THEN GO OFF . WHEN I SPOKE TO SOMEBODY I WAS TOLD $100 FOR AN HOUR TO DIAGNOSE THEN I WAS TOLD THEY NEEDED TWO MORE HOURS. I FINALLY GET A CALL AND THEY SAY I MIGHT NEED AN ENTIRE NEW ENGINE ! HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE WITH NOT EVEN 69 THOUSAND MILES ON IT: I JUST PURCHASED THE CAR IN AUGUST ! HOW CAN THESE CARS BE OUT THERE WITH SUCH PROBLEMS? A NEW ENGINE! ALL BECAUSE OF CODE PS305 AND PS 316. NOT TO MENTION EVERYTIME I ASKED ABOUT THE RECALLS BEING TAKEN CARE OF ON MY CAR I NEVER WAS GIVE AN ANSWER CLEARLY. *TR
I PURCHASED THE 2005 FORD FREESTYLE USED. ISSUES: (1) SHORTLY AFTER PURCHASING THE TRANSMISSION LIGHT CAME ON, THEN I TOOK IT TO A TRANSMISSION SHOP, WHO REPLACED THE FLUID, WHICH SEEMED TO FIX THE PROBLEM. (2) RANDOM SURGES OF POWER, WHICH ALMOST RESULTED IN A FEW ACCIDENTS AND WAS SEVERELY FRIGHTENING (CORRECTED BEFORE A RECALL) (3) THIS PAST WINTER PROBLEMS WITH SHUTTING THE FRONT DOORS, THEN WITH OUT WARNING ( WITH TWO CHILDREN IN THE BACK SETS ) THE BACK PASSENGER DOOR FEW OPEN WHEN I TURNED THE CORNER. THE CHILDREN SCREAMED, I WAS THANKFUL THAT A CHILD WAS NOT SEVERALLY INJURED AND THEN, I HAD CALL SOMEONE TO PICK US UP. I CALLED FORD AND WAS TOLD I WAS THE ONLY COMPLAINT! LATER AT A CHILDREN'S RECREATION, I PARKED NEXT TO A WOMAN WITH CHILDREN DRIVING THE SAME MODEL. I ASKED HER IF SHE EXPERIENCED DOOR ISSUES, SHE STATED BOTH DOORS FLEW OPEN WITH THE CHILDREN IN THE BACK SEATS, AND STATED HER HUSBAND LUBED THE DOORS DOWN. (4) NOW THE TRANSMISSION WILL RANDOMLY DECIDE NOT TO MOVE, BUT IF I TURN THE FREE STYLE ON AND OFF IT MIGHT GO INTO GEAR. NO TRANSMISSION LIGHT ON INDICATED AN ISSUE. MY 2005 FREESTYLE HAS HAD THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COME ON NUMEROUS TIME TAKEN TO DEALERSHIP MANY TIME SPENT 2000 DOLLARS IN REPLACEMENT PARTS AND PROBLEM MN STILL HAPPENS WHEN STOP AT TRAFFIC LIGHTS GO TO TAKE OFF CHECK ENGIN LIGHT OMES ON AND SPEED REDUCES STARTED HAPPING AFTER 78000 MILES DEALERSHIP SAYS COST TO REPLACE TRANSMISSION IS 8000 STILL PAYING ON CAR THT SITS IN DRIVEWAY
ALL GAUGES LOST POWER FOR A FEW SECONDS AND RESET TO LEFT. ALSO LOST LIGHTS ON INSIDE OF VEHICLE DID NOT EFFECT OUTSIDE LIGHTS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES SINCE FIRST NOTICED. *TR
STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT, WHEN WE WENT TO TAKE OFF, THERE WAS NO REVERSE OR FORWARD. ENGINE JUST REVS WHEN GAS IS PUSHED, NO MOVEMENT FROM VEHICLE. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 109,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

AFTER LOOKING TO INSURE NOTHING HAD BEEN STRUCK, WE PROCEEDED AND THE CAR MADE ANOTHER ODD NOISE AND CEASED TO GO FORWARD. THE TRANSMISSION HAD BLOWN AND ALL FLUIDS ESCAPED. THE CAR IS RUINED AND FROM ALL I HAVE READ, THIS IS A SERIOUS AND EXTREMELY COSTLY FLAW COSTING CONSUMERS A SMALL FORTUNE AND ENDANGERING LIVES ON HIGHWAYS. *TR

I HAVE 2 ISSUES: #1. BACK SEAT PASSENGER DOOR CHILD SAFETY LOCKS ARE ALWAYS ON. EVERY TIME I HAVE A PASSENGER IN THE BACK SEATS THEY ARE TRAPPED, AND CANNOT GET OUT UNLESS SOMEONE OPENS THE DOORS FROM THE OUTSIDE OR THEY PULL UP ON THE LOCK FROM HE INSIDE. IVE HAD THIS PROBLEM SINCE I PURCHASED THE CAR, BUT NEVER THOUGHT I COULD FILE A COMPLAINT UNTIL I BY COINCIDENCE CAME ACROSS YOUR WEBSITE TODAY. #2. THE E-BRAKE DOES HAS NOT WORKED PROPERLY EITHER FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME, OVER A YEAR, WHICH I BELIEVE IS A DEFECT. BECAUSE, EVERY TIME I WOULD ENGAGE IT OR DISENGAGE IT, THERE WAS NO TENSION, IT FELT "BLANK" FOR LACK OF BETTER DESCRIPTION, AND JUST RECENTLY, I MESSAGE ON THE DASHBOARD HAS COME UP, AND A BELL KEEPS TINGING, TELLING ME THE EMERGENCY BRAKE IS ENGAGED WHILE DRIVING (WHEN IT IS NOT!) AND IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT I TRY TO DO, I CANNOT MAKE THE SOUND OR THE MESSAGE GO AWAY, NOR DOES THE E-BRAKE WORK,! IT DOES NOT ENGAGE OR DISENGAGE. THIS DANGEROUS FOR ME, AND MY VEHICLE.

MESSAGE WAS CLEARED AND CAR DROVE AS NORMAL. ABOUT 20 MILES LATER, SAME PROBLEM, EXCEPT CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND MESSAGE APPEARED. PULLED OVER, TURNED OFF CAR, RESTARTED. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND MESSAGE REMAINED. VERY LOW POWER UPON ACCELERATION. PROBLEM CONTINUED INTERMITTENTLY. RECEIVED ENGINE CODE P2111, P2112 RELATING TO THROTTLE BODY PROBLEM. ETB HAD BEEN CLEANED 11/13 BY DEALER PER TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN ISSUED BY FORD. NO PROBLEMS UNTIL 12/14. SERVICE PERFORMED TO REPROGRAM ETB, NO CLEANING WAS NEEDED. PROBLEM RECURRED 12/23/14. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON AND NO POWER UPON ACCELERATION PERSISTS. CODES INDICATE ETB NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. *TR
I AM VERY FRUSTRATED THAT I HAVE THE SAME MAKE/MODEL THAT WAS INCLUDED IN THE 11/8/2006 RECALL BUT FORD AND NHTSA LIMITED THE VEHICLES TO ONLY CERTAIN STATES. DURING COLD WEATHER WATER IS ALLOWED TO ENTER THE CAR DOOR AND FREEZE THE LATCHES. THE CAR DOOR LATCH THEN FREEZES MAKING IT UNSAFE AND UNDRIVEABLE AS THE DOOR WILL NOT LATCH. THIS RECALL WAS DONE ON 10/5/2006 UNDER CAMPAIGN NUMBER PE11018 BUT BECAUSE MY VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED FORD WILL NOT FIX THE SAFETY ISSUE. *JS

FOR ABOUT A MONTH NOW MY CAR HAS BEEN MAKING THIS LOUD "HELICOPTER" NOISE. WE THOUGHT IT WAS THE ALTERNATOR SO I HAD THAT CHANGED, THOUGHT IT WAS THE WATER PUMP AND COOLING FAN, HAD THAT CHANGED. THE MECHANIC BELIEVES IT'S THE TORQUE CONVERTER WITHIN THE TRANSMISSION. AFTER DOING RESEARCH I SEE THIS IS A VERY VERY COMMON AND DANGEROUS PROBLEM WITH THE CVT TRANSMISSION. THANKFULLY MY CAR HAS NOT LOST POWER WHILE DRIVING BUT HAS GONE INTO SAFE MODE WHILE ATTEMPTING TO DRIVE. A FEW WEEKS AGO I WAS TRYING TO BACKUP AND I PUT THE CAR IN GEAR AND IT WOULDN'T MOVE. I REVVED THE ENGINE BUT INSTEAD OF REVVING UP THE RPM'S WENT DOWN...IT HAD HAPPENED AGAIN TWICE LAST WEEK. I TURNED OFF THE CAR AND LET IT SIT FOR AWHILE AND IT STARTED WORKING AGAIN. I DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING IT AND IT FEELS LIKE IT COULD STOP AT ANY MOMENT. I CONTACTED FORD TODAY BUT THEY SAY IT'S NOTHING THEY CAN DO BEING THERE IS NO RECALL AND MY CAR IS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY (I BOUGHT IT USED 4 YEARS AGO). I HAD THE THROTTLE BODY CLEANED ABOUT A YEAR AGO BECAUSE OF THE SURGING ISSUES AND HAD THE MOTOR MOUNTS REPLACED A MONTH AGO. TOO MANY ISSUES WITH THE 2005-2007 MODELS. I FIND IT FUNNY THEY STOPPED MAKING THEM, THEN STARTED AGAIN UNDER THE NAME TAURUS X WITH A DIFFERENT TYPE OF TRANSMISSION. SEEMS THEY KNOW THEY MESSED UP. I GOOGLED MY ISSUES AND FOUND A LAWSUIT PLUS MANY MANY MANY COMPLAINTS OF THE SAME ISSUE. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE AS THESE TRANSMISSIONS ARE NO LONGER BEING MADE AND YOU RUN THE RISK OF HAVING THE SAME ISSUE IF YOU "FIX IT" OR REBUILD IT. NOT SAFE AT ALL AND FORD NEEDS TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE! NOW I EITHER HAVE TO FIX IT OR SAVE FOR A NEW CAR. WE HAVE 4 KIDS AND NEED SOMETHING SAFE. *TR

OWN A 2005 FORD FREESTYLE, V6, 3.0, ALL WHEEL DRIVE, LIMITED EDITION. I STARTED HEARING LOUD GRINDING AND KNOCKING NOISES FROM THE CVT TRANSMISSION. THE VEHICLE WILL START, AND THE RPMS WILL INCREASE AND DECREASE UNCONTROLLABLY. THIS IS THE REASON THE CVT TRANSMISSION IN THESE VEHICLES ARE GOING BAD, MALFUNCTIONING, AND BREAKING CONTINUOUSLY. THE RPMS ARE DELAYED IN THE DECREASING RPMS PROCESS, WHICH TELLS THE COMPUTER TO SHIFT PREMATURELY, OR TO QUICKLY, CAUSING ANY INTERNAL PARTS AND EXTERNAL PARTS TO BE DAMAGED. THESE VEHICLES ARE EQUIPPED WITH A COMPUTERIZED THROTTLE POSITIONING SENSOR THAT IS ATTACHED TO THE ACTUAL THROTTLE BODY. THE COMPUTER IS SENDING IMPROPER COMMANDS TO THE THROTTLING POSITION SENSOR, RPMS, SHIFTING DELAY AND SYNCHRONIZED SHIFTING SENSORS. THIS IS PUTTING TOO MUCH OF A LOAD ON THE GEARS, BEARINGS, CLUTCHES, AND OTHER PARTS PERTAINING TO THE FUNCTIONING OF THE CVT TRANSMISSION SHIFTING AND EVERYDAY USE. FORD MOTOR COMPANY (AS STAMPED ON THE VIN AND VEHICLE INFORMATION STICKER INSIDE AND ON THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR JAM OF THE VEHICLE) SHOULD HAVE PERFECTED AND OR RECOGNIZED THESE ISSUES DURING THE MANUFACTURING, TESTING, AND OR DINO SESSIONS. ALL VEHICLE DESIGNS ARE TO BE TESTED, DIAGNOSED IF ANY ISSUES OCCUR, AND ARE TO BE FIXED, REDESIGNED, AND REPLACED. FORD SHOULD TAKE RECOGNITION TO THE CUSTOMERS AND DEALERS THAT OWN THESE VEHICLES. PEOPLE ARE PURCHASING THESE VEHICLES WITHOUT THE KNOWLEDGE OF POSSIBLE FAILURE AND TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES OF THESE UNITS. THESE ISSUES CAN CAUSE THE VEHICLES, ESPECIALLY THE VEHICLES THAT ARE ALL WHEEL DRIVE, TO LOCK UP, BRAKE, BREAK, ACCELERATE UNCONTROLLABLY, AND CAUSE WRECKS, FENDER BENDERS, OR MORE SEVERE INJURIES, AND EVEN THE LIVES OF PEOPLE OF THIS GREAT NATION. WE WERE PULLING OUT OF A PARKING LOT INTO TRAFFIC ON A HIGHWAY AND THE WRENCH LIGHT CAME ON AND WE LOST ALL POWER TO THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE SHUT OFF AND THEN STARTED BACK UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. ANOTHER INCIDENT HAPPENED ON MY WAY TO WORK AND THERE WERE CARS BEHIND ME. I WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD TO START IT BACK UP. THE THIRD INCIDENT HAPPENED AGAIN ON MY WAY TO WORK AND THEN THE ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND WHEN I HAD IT CHECKED THE CODES P2104 AND P2111 CAME UP. THE THROTTLE BODY WAS STUCK OPENED AND IN A BIND. I WAS ALMOST HIT DURING THE SECOND INCIDENT AND FEEL THAT THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE. I AM GLAD THAT I WASN'T ON THE INTERSTATE GOING 65 OR 70 MPH. THE CAR ALMOST CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP ON ITS OWN IN THE MATTER OF A FEW YARDS. *TR
WHILE DRIVING THE WRENCH LIGHT AND ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. LOST ALL POWER TO THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, REFUSED TO GO ABOVE 2K ROMA. TURNED CAR OFF AND LET IT SIT FOR FIFTEEN MINUTES. TURNED IT BACK IN AND LIGHTS WERE STILL ON AND CAR WOULDN'T ACCELERATE. REPLACED THE THROTTLE BODY AND THE ACCELERATOR POSITION SENSOR. STILL GIVING THE SAME CODES AND WON'T ALLOW ME TO CLEAR THE CODES. PREVIOUS ISSUES WITH UNEXPECTED ACCELERATION IN THE PAST. NOW THE BATTERY WON'T HOLD A CHARGE, THE LIGHTS ARE COMING ON WHEN THEY ARE ALL TURNED OFF AND IT SEEMS THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM I'D GOING CRAZY. IT'S NOW FEBRUARY AND I'M BEING TOLD THE THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. SINCE MY THROTTLE BODY HAD THE COLD WEATHER SYSTEM ON IT THAT MEANS ANOTHER THROTTLE BODY REPLACEMENT WITH NO GUARANTEE IT WILL FIX THE ISSUE. I CAN'T DRIVE THE CAR AT ALL. I CAN'T BACK IT OUT OF ITS PARKING SPACE WITHOUT IT STALLING OUT AND ALL THE LIGHTS INSIDE ABD HEADLIGHTS FLICKERING. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL. I'VE SPENT TILL MUCH MONEY TO KEEP PUTTING MORE INTO IT WHEN REPLACING THE PARTS THAT HAVE THE CODE ISSUES ISN'T WORKING. *TR
