IN JULY OF THIS YEAR WE WERE ON OUR WAY HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL WITH MY SON WHO HAD JUST HAD SURGERY AND WE HAD BEEN DRIVING ON A VERY UNEVEN AND BUMPY HIGHWAY AND WHEN MY HUSBAND WENT TO PUSH ON THE BRAKES SO THAT WE COULD GET ON THE INTERSTATE, IT WAS AS IF WE HAD NO BRAKES. THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR AND THERE WAS NOTHING. AFTER A CONSTANT PUMPING MOTION THE BRAKES CAME BACK BUT VERY SQUISHY AND SOFT. WE MADE A COUPLE ATTEMPTS UP AND DOWN THE ROAD BEFORE GETTING ON THE INTERSTATE BECAUSE THAT WAS THE ONLY WAY TO GET BACK HOME AND AS LONG AS YOU PUMPED THE BRAKES A FEW TIMES THEY WOULD WORK. YOU JUST COULD NOT PUSH ON THEM AND EXPECT TO STOP. MY BRAKES HAVE NOT BEEN THE SAME SINCE. STILL ON OCCASION SOFT AND SQUISHY BUT WORKABLE AS LONG AS YOU PUMP THEM. I WAS NOTIFIED OF THE RECALL IN JULY 2016 AND HAVE ATTEMPTED TO SCHEDULE REPAIRS 3 TIMES IN THE PAST 16 MONTHS. NOTHING HAS HAPPENED TO ME OR MY VEHICLE PENDING THE REPAIR, BUT I A VERY CONCERNED THAT SOMETHING COULD HAPPEN TO A PASSENGER IN MY CAR DUE TO THE AIRBAG DEFECT. TAKATA RECALL- I RECEIVED MY FIRST SAFETY RECALL LETTER REGARDING THE PASSENGER FRONTAL AIRBAG INFLATOR MAY RUPTURE IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH BACK IN JULY 2016. IN DECEMBER 2017 I RECEIVED ANOTHER LETTER STATING PARTS WERE STILL NOT AVAILABLE AND THE RECOMMEND UNTIL THEY BECOME AVAILABLE, TO NOT ALLOW ANYONE TO SIT IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. 2 YEARS LATER MY CAR IS STILL NOT FIXED AND I CONTACTED SEVERAL DEALERS YESTERDAY AGAIN REGARDING THIS MATTER AND THEY ARE STILL WAITING ON PARTS. THEY INFORMED ME TO CALL FORD TO FILE A COMPLAINT.

I WAS BRAKING WHEN I CAUGHT A POT HOLE AND THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. SINCE THEN THE BRAKE PEDAL IS SOFT AND WILL RANDOMLY GO TO THE FLOOR. I TOOK IT TO A FORD DEALER AND THEY TRIED REPLACING THE REAR ROTORS AND PADS AND FLUSHING THE FLUID BUT IT DID NOT WORK. I TOOK IT BACK AND THEY ENDED UP REPLACING THE HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT WITH A USED ONE. IT STILL DOESN'T FEEL RIGHT BUT IT'S BETTER THAN IT WAS.

THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR HANDLE HAS BROKEN ONCE AGAIN...I REPLACED IT LAST YEAR AND HAD TO AGAIN THIS YEAR...THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD: AS IF I WAS TO BE INVOLVED IN A CAR ACCIDENT I WOULD HAVE TO ROLL DOWN THE DRIVERS WINDOW TO BE ABLE TO OPEN THE DOOR. I HAVE TELEPHONED MY LOCAL DEALER A COUPLE TIMES SINCE WITHOUT "LUCK" THAT I CAN GET THE REPAIR. I'VE CONTACTED FORD MOTOR THROUGH THEIR CHAT LINE AND BEEN TOLD THE SAME THING THE LETTER SAID, "YOU'LL BE NOTIFIED". I YEAR (ALMOST) LATER I STILL LIVE IN FEAR WHEN SOMEONE HAS TO RIDE IN MY FRONT PASSENGER SEAT! THIS IS TOTALLY RIDICULOUS AND SHOULDN'T HAPPEN IN THE GOOD OLD USA. I HAVE A FRIEND WITH AN ACCORD (HONDA) WHO GOT HER CAR FIXED WITHIN ABOUT 4 MONTHS (SAME PROBLEM) AND ANOTHER WHO HAS AN INFINITI WHO GOT THEIR CAR FIXED (SAME PROBLEM) IN ABOUT 6 MONTHS. PRETTY MUCH SAYS, "DON'T BUY AMERICAN" IN MY ESTIMATION! AFTER 1 YEAR, I THINK FORD SHOULD START COMPENSATING PEOPLE THEY HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO SERVICE BECAUSE NOT ONLY IS THIS INCONVENIENT IT IS DANGEROUS.
