ALL OF A SUDDEN ONE DAY ONE LIGHTS ON MY RADIO WENT OUT SCREEN IS BLANK MY AIR / HEAT GO IN AND OUT INTERMITTINGLY MY HORN ALSO IS NO LONGER WORKING NONE OF MY OUTLETS HAVE POWER . I HAVE HAD A SYSTEM TEST DONE SEVERAL TIMES AND NOTHING CAN BE FOUND . I LOOKED ON LINE I SEE THAT OVER 100 PEOPLE WITH THE SAME CAR AND YEAR HAVING THE SAME ISSUES AND THIS IS VERY COSTLY AND AS A CONSUMER AND THIS NEEDS BE RECALLED .
THE POWER STEERING HAS GONE IN MY CAR, I HAVE BEEN LOOKING INTO THIS FOR ABOUT SIX MONTHS NOW AND REALIZED THAT THERE ARE RECALLS FOR THE YEAR PRIOR TO IN THE YEAR AFTER MY MAKE UP MODEL FOR THE SAME ISSUES WHY HAS MY VEHICLE NOT THEN ISSUED A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM .
A FEW MONTHS AGO I WAS DRIVING ON A MAJOR STREET IN AUSTIN, & TURNING INTO A STORE PARKING LOT & MY POWER STEERING FAILED! STEERING WHEEL TOTALLY LOCKED UP ON ME! VERY SCARY-ALMOST HIT 2 ONCOMING CARS! POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT LIGHT WAS ON & MINUTES LATER ANOTHER WARNING ABOUT ADVANCE TRAC FAULT. TURNING STEERING WHEEL IS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME.(I'M 5'3" 130 LBS & NOT A BODY BUILDER!). I MANAGED TO DRIVE IT 3 BLOCKS TO A MECHANIC. THEY CHARGED ME $100 FOR ESTIMATE OF $2400 TO REPAIR!! I DO NOT HAVE THAT KIND OF MONEY!! IS THERE A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT I CAN JOIN OR SOMETHING ELSE TO VOICE MY COMPLAINT? ALSO I AM ONLY 10 MINS FROM MY WORK SO IT'S POSSIBLE I COULD DRIVE IT JUST TO GET TO MY JOB BUT THE INSPECTION HAS EXPIRED! DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THEY WILL PASS INSPECTION WITHOUT POWER STEERING? TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE SERVICE AUTO TRAC AND SERVICE POWER STEERING MESSAGES SUDDENLY DISPLAYED. MOMENTS LATER, THE SERVICE STEERING NOW MESSAGE DISPLAYED AND THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN IN EITHER DIRECTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO CASCO BAY FORD (1213 RT. 1, YARMOUTH, ME) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE STEERING RACK AND PINION WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 217,000. THE VIN WAS INVALID.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY AND THE POWER STEERING FAILED. IF MY WIFE WAS DRIVING I FEEL SHE WOULD HAVE BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT AS I COULD HARDLY GAIN ENOUGH STRENGTH TO TURN THE CAR. THE DEALERSHIP SAID THERE WERE RECALLS YET MY VEHICLE DID NOT QUALIFY AS IT WAS BUILT 3 MONTHS TOO SOON. I FEEL THAT THERE WERE STEERING UNITS INSTALLED IN THE 2010 CARS THAT WERE PART OF THE BAD BATCH AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN INCLUDED IN THIS RECALL AND FORD MOTORS MADE AN ARBITRARY DECISION WITHOUT COMPLETE INFORMATION ON THE POWER STEERING UNITS. AS IT WAS IT COST ALMOST $2000 TO HAVE THE DEALERSHIP FIX.
MY 2010 FORD FUSION POWER STEERING FAILED. I STARTED MY CAR AND RECEIVED AN ERROR MESSAGE THAT THE ELECTRIC STEERING SYSTEM HAD A FAULT.
RAPID DECELERATION: WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY RAPID DECELERATION OCCURRED. CAR SLOWED TO ABOUT 25MPH AND WOULD NOT ACCELERATE WHEN GAS PEDAL WAS PUSHED. EXITED FREEWAY.. TURNED ENGINE OFF AND RESTARTED. CAR OPERATED NORMAL. NO ERROR ICONS SHOWED. ABOUT A HALF MILE FROM HOME PROBLEM REOCCURRED CRAWLED HOME AT 10MPH. NEXT SEVERAL DAYS PROBLEM DID NOT REOCCUR. ABOUT A WEEK LATER SAME PROBLEM REOCCURRED WHILE DRIVING HOME ..10MPH. SPOKE TO FORD SERVICE TO SEE IF THEY WOULD COVER REPAIRS AND THEY DECLINED. TOOK IT TO MY REPAIR SHOP AND THEY REPLACED THE THROTTLE BODY. $600. VERY SCARY DANGEROUS SITUATION WHEN THIS OCCURS ON THE FREEWAY.
POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT ERROR DISPLAYS AFTER VEHICLE IS TURNED ON. POWER STEERING CEASES TO WORK. TRIED RESTARTING MULTIPLE TIMES, SAME ISSUE.
LOSS OF POWER STEERING. POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT WHILE CAR WAS DRIVING ON CITY ROAD
THE POWER STEERING ASSIST FAILURE ENGAGES AND I CANNOT STEER MY CAR STEERING JUST FAILS! CANNOT TURN STEERING WHEEL AT ALL WHILE TRAVELING AT 40 MPH COULD HAVE RESULTED IN A HORRIBLE ACCIDENT I WAS UNSUCCESSFUL AT GETTING OFF THE ROAD BUT TURNED THE CAR OFF AND RESTARTED IT IT WAS OK FOR A BIT HOWEVER AFTER RESEARCHING SEVERAL 2010 OWNERS HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AND ONLY RECALLS WERE ISSUED FOR 2011 OWNERS ITS COSTS 1800.00 TO REPAIR AT DEALERSHIP I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE MY CAR. I LITERALLY COULD NOT BUDGE THE STEERING WHEEL. I WAS NOT TURNING A CORNER AT THE TIME I WAS HEADED STRAIGHT, WITH A CURVE AHEAD OF ME. THE CAR HAS ONLY 75K MILES HAS ALWAYS BEEN WELL TAKEN CARE OF.

ELK GROVE FORD (LOCATED AT 9645 AUTO CENTER DR, ELK GROVE, CA 95757, (916) 249-1630) WAS CONTACTED BY PHONE AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 101,236.

POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT LIGHT COMES ON. VEHICLE HAD TO BE TOWED TO GARAGE. COST TO REPAIR IS$1500+. DANGEROUS FAILURE AND SHOULD BE RECALLED. VEHICLE WAS PARKED AND TURNED ON.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER'S DOOR FAILED TO OPEN AND CLOSE PROPERLY AND COULD NOT BE OPENED FROM INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 17V210000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES) AND 15V246000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES); HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE EXHIBITED THE SAME FAILURE AS THE RECALL CAMPAIGNS. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
POWER STEERING ASSIST FAILED WHILE DRIVING, MAKING STEERING VERY DIFFICULT. THIS IS A VERY COMMON FAILURE ON THE 2010 FORD FUSION. IT HAS BEEN REMEDIED FOR THE 2011 AND 2012 MODELS, BUT NOT ON THE 2010.
ON 3 SEPERATE OCCASIONS I HAVE EXPERIENCED SUDDEN RAPID ACCELERATION WITH MY AUTO. FIRST WHILE SLOWLY ACCELERATING FROM A PARKING SPOT IN A CROWDED DEPARTMENT STORE PARKING LOT. SECOND WHILE SLOWLY MOVING FORWARD IN A FAST FOOD DRIVE THRU LINE. BARELY MISSING THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. AND THIRD WHILE SLOWING DOWN APPROACHING A STOP SIGN AGAIN MOVING SLOW EXITING A PARKING LOT. ALL THREE TIMES I'VE HAD TO ALMOST STAND ON THE BRAKE TO STOP AND SHIFT TO NEUTRAL AND KILL THE ENGINE. THE VEHICLE IS A 2010 FORD FUSION WITH APPRX 130,000 MILES.
WHILE DRIVING I INTERMITTENTLY LOSE POWER STEERING. BEFORE I COULD SHUT THE CAR DOWN AND IT'LL RESET BUT NOW IT WON'T EVEN DO THAT. I'M SCARED IF MY WIFE DRIVES IT AND IT FAILS AND COULD CAUSE A FATAL ACCIDENT.
DRIVING DOWN A BUSY FREEWAY, MY POWER STEERING GOES OUT! I HAVE MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS AND IT MAKES MY ARM STRENGTH SEVERELY DEPLETED. JUST TRYING TO PULL OVER I ALMOST CRASHED INTO MULTIPLE VEHICLES. I CAN NO LONGER DRIVE IT.
WHEN TEMPERATURE DROPS TO LESS THAN 35 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT OUTSIDE REAR BREAKS GET STUCK AND PEDAL FALLS TO THE FLOOR CAUSING CAR NOT TO STOP. HAD REAR CALIPERS REPLACED TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM AND FOUND OUT THAT IT IS THE ABS VALVE BODY. ALSO SAW OTHER REPORTS AND THAT A RECALL WAS BEING ISSUED ONLY TO FIND THAT MY CAR WAS NOT INCLUDED. I LOVE THIS CAR IT HAS HAD OTHER RECALLS AND PROBLEMS BUT HAS OTHERWISE BEEN VERY RELIABLE AND FORD HAS FIXED JUST ABOUT ALL THE ISSUES IT HAS HAD EXCEPT THIS. *TR

THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE TIE ROD END HAS BEGAN TO START A POPPING NOISE AND MUST BE REPLACED DUE TO IMMINENT FAILURE OF STEERING WHICH COULD RESULT IN LOSS OF STEERING WHILE DRIVING CREATING A CRASH THAT COULD CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY AND IN SOME CASES DEATH. I DO NOT DRIVE THE CAR BECAUSE OF THIS POPPING AND I WILL WAIT UNTIL A RECALL.
I BROUGHT MY NEPHEW TO SCHOOL, CAR STARTED FINE AND NO ISSUES. IT'S ONLY MAYBE A MILE DOWN THE ROAD. WHEN I TURNED THE CAR BACK ON AFTER DROPPING OFF, THE 'POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT' AND 'SERVICE ADVANCETRAK' INDICATORS CAME ON ONCE I PUT IT IN REVERSE THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP. THE POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT INDICATOR CAME ON MAYBE 3 TIMES THROUGHOUT THE PAST 2 MONTHS BUT ONCE I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND TURNED IT OFF THEN BACK ON, THE INDICATOR WAS GONE AND I COULD DRIVE. THIS TIME IT DIDN'T GO AWAY AND THE SERVICE ADVANCETRAK WAS ON.
LOST OF POWER STEERING CONTROL WHILE DRIVING. MESSAGE CENTER SHOWS 'POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT'. CHECKED THE INTERNET AND APPEARS TO BE A COMMON ISSUE, 2011 AND LATER WERE RECALLED, BUT NOT 2010? EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE REPAIR, ESPECIALLY AS IT RELATES TO OVERALL VALUE OF VEHICLE.
ON MORNING DRIVE INTO WORK, THE POWER STEERING SERVICE WARNING CAME ON. WHEN I CAME OUT TO DRIVE HOME THAT NIGHT, THE POWER STEERING WAS COMPLETELY GONE. I KNOW THIS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE FOR 2011-2012 FORD FUSIONS AND LINCOLN MILANS AND A RECALL WAS ISSUED FOR THEM.
THE CAR IS PERFECTLY TAKEN CARE OF...AND NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN...AS I WAS PULLING OUT...THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT...THIS CAR HAS HAD RECALLS FOR AIR BAGS AND OTHER THINGS...NOW THIS...FORD SHOULD BE HANDLING THIS!
I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE MY SPRINGS ON MY CAR AFTER IT IS ONLY 9 YEARS OLD. THS DOES NOT SEEM TO BE NORMAL.

IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT NOTICED AN ABNORMAL BURNING ODOR INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE EXHIBITED THE SAME FAILURE AS LISTED IN NHTSA ACTION NUMBER: EA17004 (STEERING), BUT WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. 'TAKATA' I HAVE LOOKED UP THE PROBLEM WITH MY FORD FUSION 2010 WHICH IS THE ELECTRICAL POWER STEERING AND THERE IS NO RECALL ON THE VECHILE BUT SO MANY PEOPLE ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH IT. THE MODELS AFTER IT HAVE A RECALL BUT NONE FOR THE 2010 MAKE. I FEEL AS IF, THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL ON ANY AND EVERY VECHILE FORD MAKES. NO MATTER THE YEAR OR MODEL. THE MANUFACTURER MADE THE VECHILE AND OF ITS A PROBLEM THAT WAS NOT CAUSED BY CUSTOMERS BUT BY THE MANUFACTURER THEN IT SHOULD BE FIXED. SOME PEOPLE CAN'T AFFORD TO FIX PROBLEMS THAT ARE SO EXPENSIVE AND THE CHARGE OF LABOR LIKE MYSELF! MY VECHILE WAS STATIONARY WHEN THE POWER STEERING LIGHT HAD COME ON.
STEERING WANDERS WHILE DRIVING UNCONTROLLABLE AT TIMES .EPAS PLUS MAKES RUBBING NOISE WHEN TURNING
WHILE IN MOTION ON THE HIGHWAY, POWERSTERRING FAULT OCCURRED CAUSING THE POWER STEERING TO BECOME INACTIVE. THERE HAS BEEN A RECALL ON THE 2011 TO 2012 MODELS, WHICH I. ALSO BELIEVE THAT THE 2010 SHOULD HAVE ALSO BEEN INCLUDED. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD.
WHEN TRYING TO STOP VEHICLE, THE BRAKE PEDAL LOWERS TO FLOOR AND IS SLOW TO STOP THE CAR. CAR CONTINUES TO TRAVEL WITH FOOT ON THE PEDAL. ALL DIAGNOSTIC TESTS ON BRAKES AND MASTER CYLINDER ARE STATING THAT BRAKES ARE WORKING AS THEY SHOULD WITH NO PROBLEMS TO FIX BUT THE BRAKE PEDAL DOES NOT STOP THE CAR. EVERYTHING THAT COULD BE CAUSING THE PEDAL TO LOWER TO THE FLOOR AND BE SLOW TO STOP THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN CHECKED MULTIPLE TIMES. PADS ARE GOOD, ROTORS ARE GOOD, BRAKE FLUID GOOD, NO LEAKS, BRAKE LINES ARE GOOD, NO AIR IN LINES, MASTER CYLINDER IS GOOD. ACCORDING TO SOCIAL MEDIA OUTLETS AND FORD FORUMS, THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS WITH THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM WITH THE SOFT BRAKE PEDAL AND FAILURE TO STOP THE VEHICLE. SO, THE QUESTION IS...WHY HAS THERE NOT BEEN A RECALL?
TAKATA RECALL EVERY FORD DEALERSHIPS THAT I CALL, THEY DON'T HAVE AIR BAGS TO REPLACE. I HAVE BEEN CALLING SINCE THIS PAST YEAR AND EVERY DEALER SAYS THAT THEY DON'T HAVE THE PART STOCK AND WILL CALL ME ONCE THEY GET IT. I HAVEN'T RECEIVED A CALL YET. I CALLED TODAY AND THEY SAID IT TAKES 3 WEEKS TO RECEIVE THE PART. THEY SAID I SHOULD TRY OTHER DEALERSHIPS. IT SEEMS LIKE THEY DON'T WANT TO REPLACE THE AIR BAG.
UPON 9 YEARS OF AGE MY 2010 FORD FUSION HYBRID (ANY MANY OTHERS) NO LONGER FUNCTIONS AS A HYBRID VEHICLE AND WILL ONLY USE THE INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE. THIS CAUSES A SAFETY CONCERN DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE EV MOTOR IS SUPPOSED TO KICK IN FROM A STOP UPON ACCELERATION. THIS CAUSES A SIGNIFICANT DELAY IN ACCELERATION WHILE IT TRIES TO USE THE EV MOTOR BUT CANNOT DUE TO THIS LIMITATION. WHILE AT ROUNDABOUTS OR WHEN MAKING LEFT HAND TURNS THIS IS A SIGNIFICANT SAFETY ISSUE. FORD HAS DONE NOTHING TO ADDRESS THIS OR EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE THE FACT THAT THIS ISSUE EXISTS.

SHE WAS NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO TURN THE WHEEL MANUALLY AND ALMOST CRASHED THE VEHICLE. THE FUSE TO THE POWER STEERING SYSTEM WAS BLOWN AND CONTINUED TO BLOW FUSSES AFTER DRIVING FURTHER. IT IS CURRENTLY AT THE FORD DEALERSHIP BEING LOOKED AT.
NOTICE OF POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT AND ADVANCETRAC APPEARED ON DASH - POWER STEERING COMPLETELY DISAPPEARED MAKING CAR NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE TO TURN/DRIVE. NO WARNING OCCURRED PRIOR TO POWER STEERING DISAPPEARING. OCCURRED WHEN VEHICLE WAS BOTH STATIONARY AND IN MOTION. OCCURRED ON CITY STREETS.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE MASTER CYLINDER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE CONWAY HEATON INC DEALER (502-348-3929, LOCATED AT 810 N 3RD ST, BARDSTOWN, KY 40004) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE VEHICLE HAD NO BRAKES. THE TECHNICIAN REPLACED THE MASTER CYLINDER AND THE HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 154,493.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD FUSION. AFTER REFUELING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT DETECTED A FUEL ODOR AND NOTICED FUEL LEAKING UNDER THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE TOP PORTION OF THE FUEL TANK WAS RUSTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000.
No break pressure. I haven't been able to drive the car for about 2 year. Spent to much money trying to get it fixed. Booster x 2, master cylinder x 2 and abs modulator. Fusion has 83000 miles.
THE DOOR HANDLE LOCKING SYSTEM ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE BROKE ON MY 2010 FORD FUSTION MY CAR WAS STATIONARY IN A GARAGE. I UNLOCKED DRIVER DOOR, SAT IN DRIVER SEAT AND SUDDENLY DOOR LATCH IS BROKEN AND I'M UNABLE TO OPEN THE DOOR FROM THE INSIDE. I HAD TO ROLL DOWN THE DRIVER WINDOW IN ORDER TO OPEN THE DOOR FROM THE OUTSIDE. I NOTICED THAT THE DOOR NO LONGER LOCKS EITHER. BROUGHT CAR TO MY DEALERSHIP WHO SAID NO RECALLS WERE AVAILABLE SO I HAD TO PAY 182.45$ TO GET MY DOOR LATCH FIXED. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN AND THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL BECAUSE I WAS NO LONGER ABLE TO PARK AND LOCK MY CAR. PLEASE ISSUE A RECALL FOR THIS PART. NOT IMPRESSED WITH FORD AT THE MOMENT.
OUR LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP, IN GRAND JUNCTION CO, IS WILL NOT MAKE US AN APPOINTMENT TO REPAIR AIRBAG RECALL, THEY KEEP PUTTING US OFF AND MAKING EXCUSES! WE RECEIVED THE LETTER IN MARCH ON RECALL (ALTHOUGH LETTER IS DATED FEBRUARY 2019, WE RECEIVED IT IN MARCH). WE CALLED MARCH 15 TO SET UP AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE IT REPAIRED- AND HAVE BEEN GETTING DENIED EVER SINCE. THEY SAID THAT FORD IS ONLY SENDING THEM 3 KITS PER WEEK TO FIX RECALLS. WE CONTINUE TO ASK TO BE PUT ON THE LIST - THEY SAY THEY ARE BACKED UP AND WILL CALL WHEN THEY HAVE ONE FOR US. WE ARE STILL WAITING AND IT WILL BE MAY TOMORROW! THE PARTS WOMAN-OUR CONTACT FOR ALL OF THIS, IS EXTREMELY RUDE AND REFUSES TO GIVE ANY MORE INFORMATION! WE HAVE BEEN CALLING SINCE MARCH TO CHECK ON THE STATUS AND GET CAR REPAIRED - AND SHE CONTINUES TO BE SO ANNOYED BY OUR REQUEST AND IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! IT HAS BEEN SO FRUSTRATING, WE LITERALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE WE CAN DO! FORD GIVES US A NOTICE, THAT OUR CAR IS DANGEROUS.THEY ARE THE ONES THAT TELL US TO TAKE IT TO THEIR DEALERSHIP TO HAVE IT REPAIRED! SO WE IMMEDIATELY STOP DRIVING IT. IT HAS BEEN VERY INCONVENIENT, WITHOUT A CAR AND SHARING RIDES! WE EVEN CONVEYED THIS FACT TO THIS FORD REPRESENTATIVE- AND SHE MADE IT KNOWN THAT SHE COULD CARE LESS!
