I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY WHEN THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT. ALARM SOUNDS WENT OFF AND POWER STEERING DEFAULT APPEARED ON THE INFO SYSTEM. HAD A HARD TIME PULLING OFF THE HIGHWAY. WHEN I REALIZED IT WAS ELECTRICAL STEERING I WENT ONLINE TO FIND A WAY TO FIX THE PROBLEM. I CHECKED THE FUSES. FUSES WERE OK. SINCE I COULD HARDLY MOVE THE STEERING WHEEL TRYING TO GET OFF THE HIGHWAY I WASN'T GOING TO RISK MY LIFE AGAIN OR MY FELLOW DRIVERS ON THE HIGHWAY BY DRIVING IT BACK HOME. I WAITED FOR MY CAR TO BE TOWED BACK HOME. YOU WOULD THINK A CAR DOING 70 MPH WOULD STILL BE SOMEWHAT EASY TO STEER RIGHT TO GET ON THE SHOULDER OF THE HIGHWAY. IT WAS NOT AND TOOK A GOOD DEAL OF MUSCLE TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL RIGHT. IF I WAS A OLDER PERSON OR SOMEONE WEAKER THIS COULD HAVE BEEN BAD.
MY 2011 FORD FUSION'S STEERING WHEEL COMPLETELY GAVE OUT ON ME WHILE DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY IN JULY OF 2015. EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION. DEALERSHIP INFORMED ME OF AN OPEN RECALL AND REPLACED THE WHOLE STEERING RACK PURSUANT TO FORD RECALL NUMBER 15S18. FAST FORWARD THREE YEARS LATER -- LAST FRIDAY, ALSO WHILE DRIVING, MY STEERING WHEEL FAILED AND ALMOST CAUSED A CRASH. EXACT SAME ERRORS. CONTACTED TWO DIFFERENT DEALERSHIPS, AS WELL AS FORD, AND ALL SAID THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT -- THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY $2300+ TO GET IT REPLACED. HOW CAN THE STEERING RACK FAIL ME TWICE IN THREE YEARS? HOW DOES FORD GET AWAY WITH MAKING THIS A ONE TIME RECALL AND DOING NOTHING WHEN THE SAME THING HAPPENS AGAIN? IT'S ABSOLUTELY ABSURD AND HORRIFYING. NO CAR - ESPECIALLY NOT ONE THAT IS A RELATIVELY NEWER MODEL - JUST RANDOMLY HAS A STEERING RACK FAILURE IN THE MIDDLE OF A HIGHWAY. IF I HAD CRASHED, I AM GUESSING FORD WOULD HAVE PAID FOR THE REPLACEMENT.
TAKATA RECALL
AT ROUGHLY 100,000 MILES BRAKE PEDAL WOULD ON OCCASION FEEL SQUISHY. BRAKE PEDAL TRAVEL WOULD INCREASE REQUIRING MORE EFFORT TO STOP. IT WAS INTERMITTENTLY AT FIRST AND WOULD ONLY ACT UP ONCE OR TWICE A MONTH THE CAR IS A DAILY DRIVER, I LIVE IN A RURAL AREA AND DRIVE COUNTRY ROAD EVERY DAY APPROXIMATELY 12 MILES A DAY. THE MAJORITY OF THE MILES ON THE CAR ARE AT SPEED OF 55MPH OR MORE. VERY LITTLE STOP AND GO TRAFFIC WHICH REQUIRES EXCESSIVE BRAKE USE. NOW THE CAR HAS 105,000 MILES AND THE BRAKE TRAVEL IS ALWAYS LONG AND SQUISHY. THEY NEVER FEEL SOLID LIKE THEY USE TO. STOPPING POWER IS STILL STRONG WHEN YOU STAND ON THEM. ANTI LOCKS STILL WORK AS I'VE STOOD ON THE BRAKES IN SLICK WEATHER AND CAN HERE THE ANTILOCK SYSTEM CHATTER AND FEEL THE PEDAL PULSE. SEEM TO BE A PROBLEM OTHER PEOPLE ARE HAVING AFTER GOOGLING IT SO I WANTED TO THROW IN MY SITUATION.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 122,000.
INTERMITTENT POWER STEERING FAILURE. WHEN BACKING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY, POWER STEERING LOCKED UP THEN WAS DRIVABLE. LOCKED UP AGAIN 66 MILES LATER WHILE BACKING UP IN DRIVEWAY.. TOOK IT TO TEAM FORD, $2199.00 TO REPAIR. OVER 400;00 WAS RECALLED IN 2015; FOR SAME PROBLEM. WHY NOT MINE?
I PURCHASED THIS 2011 FUSION SEL 6 MONTHS AGO, THE CARFAX REPORT LISTED EVERYTHING AS BEING CHECKED OUT BUT NO REPORT ABOUT EPAS AS HAVING RECALL ISSUES, NO PROBLEMS UNTIL LAST WEEK WHEN THE OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE REACHED THE 90'S, WHEN EXITING THE FREEWAY AND COMING TO A STOP THE STEERING AND BRAKES STARTED LOUD GROWLING NOISE AT LOW SPEEDS, CONTINUED THROUGHOUT CITY STREET DRIVING AS WELL WITH IT REMAINING CONSTANT UNTIL THE TEMP COOLED OFF OVERNIGHT AS IT DIDN'T HAVE PROBLEMS WHEN TEMP WAS BACK DOWN IN THE 60'S BUT HAS REPEATED THE GROWLING NOISE AGAIN SEVERAL TIMES ONCE THE TEMP'S RETURN IN HOT WEATHER. WENT TO THE FORD DEALER AND SAID THE RECALL 15S18 HAS BEEN CLOSED AND THAT MY VIN NEVER WAS PART OF THE RECALL NOTICE, VERY FRUSTRATING THAT THE 393,623 UNITS EFFECTED THAT LISTED 2011-12 FUSION'S NEVER INCLUDED ALL VEHICLES AS VIEWING ALL THE COMPLAINTS NUMEROUS OTHER VEHICLES THAT WASN'T INCLUDED IN THE RECALL ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUES AS THOSE THAT WERE. RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE FOR THE TAKATA AIRBAG POSSIBLY AVAILABLE IN THE 3 QTR AND FORD IS ALLOWING OWNERS A RENTAL UNIT UP TO $30 A DAY UNTIL THE TAKATA AIRBAG PARTS ARE AVAILABLE FOR REPLACEMENT.
POWER STEERING WOULD GO OUT, BUT RESET ITSELF AFTER TURNING CAR OFF AND THEN BACK ON. POWER STEERING FINALLY WENT OUT COMPLETELY WHILE GOING DOWN SUBDIVISION ROAD. SOME 2011 FUSIONS WERE RECALLED FOR THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM AND FIX. GOOD THING NO WORRIES ACCIDENT HAPPENED AND THE TAKATA AIRBAG WAS NOT DEPLOYED SINCE THAT RECALL HAS NOT BEEN FIXED YET.... MANY OTHER CARS JUST LIKE THIS ONE ON CARCOMPLAINTS.COM. HAD ISSUE FIXED AT BARBER FORD INC IN HOLLAND, MI 49423.
THE A/C BLOWER RESISTOR AND THE BLOWER RESISTOR CONNECTOR HAS BURNED AND MELTED 2 TIMES SINCE I BOUGHT THIS CAR IN 2012. AS I WAS DRIVING A/C WOULD BLOW HARD FOR A MINUTE OR SO THE GO OUT, AND THE FINAL TIME IT WENT OUT BOTH TIMES MY PASSENGER SAW SMOKE AT HIS FEET FROM UNDER THE GLOVE BOX.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO RAZZAIR FORD LOCATED AT 1300 AUTO CENTER DR, MERCED, CA 95340 TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE STEERING RACK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V340000 (STEERING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.
The contact owns a 2011 Ford Fusion. The contact stated while driving 45 MPH uphill and approaching a curve, the vehicle lost power steering functionality, causing the contact to almost lose control of the vehicle. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that he depressed the brake pedal, veered to the side of the roadway, and parked the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. The dealer was notified of the failure and advised the contact that his vehicle could not be repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V340000 (STEERING) due to the mileage and the time frame of the recall. The vehicle was towed to the independent mechanic who diagnosed that the power steering assist had failed and needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired; however, the failure reoccurred while driving. The vehicle was again towed to the independent mechanic who diagnosed that the power steering assist had failed and needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 130,000.
DRIVING 8 HOURS, 70 MPH, ON 92 OUTSIDE TEMP DAY THE CAR STARTED MAKING A THUMPING SOUND WHEN BREAKING/STEERING SIMULTANEOUSLY. STEERING BECAME SOMEWHAT STIFFER. THE SOUND GOT LOUDER AS TIME WENT ON, POSSIBLY DUE TO EXTREME HEAT. WIFE WAS WITH ME AND WE BOTH BECAME VERY WORRIED BECAUSE WE WERE IN ATLANTA 5 PM TRAFFIC. WE MADE IT HOME AND I BEGAN AN INFORMATION SEARCH. I FOUND THAT OUR 2011 FORD FUSION WAS INCLUDED IN A FIELD SERVICE ACTION 15N01. I SPOKE WITH THE LOCAL FORD SERVICE MANAGER AND WAS TOLD THAT DID NOT APPLY TO THE SYMPTOMS I DESCRIBED BECAUSE THERE IS NO ADVANCE INDICATION THAT THE ELECTRIC CONTROLLED STEERING IS GOING OUT - IT JUST GOES OUT. FORD'S OWN REPORT MENTIONS THIS BEING POSSIBLY DANGEROUS BUT DOWNPLAYS THE CONCERN BY SAYING STEERING IS STILL POSSIBLE, JUST MORE DIFFICULT. I CALLED FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR SOME SUPPORT BUT OTHER THAN RECOMMENDING A DIAGNOSES AND SAYING SHE IS NOT A TECH, OFFERED NO MEANINGFUL INFORMATION. SHE DID ADMIT SHE WOULD NOT WANT TO DRIVE A CAR WITH THIS CONDITION EXISTING. LAST, I TRIED TO GET INFORMATION VIA LIVE CHAT AND WHEN I SENT THE FSA NUMBER, I WAS ACTUALLY BLOCKED OF MY ABILITY TO QUESTION HIM AND HE ENDED THE CHAT. FRANKLY, I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR THE RESPONSE OF A FORD MANAGEMENT PERSON TO THE QUESTION "WOULD YOU ALLOW YOUR DEAREST FAMILY MEMBERS RIDE IN A VEHICLE THAT SHOW FRIGHTENING SYMPTOMS OF A STEERING ISSUE KNOWING THE EXISTENCE OF THE 'FIELD SERVICE ACTION' WHICH IS ABOUT THE STEERING GOING OUT.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 92,000.

THE CONTACT HAD TO TURN OFF THE ENGINE BECAUSE IT WAS STILL ON WHEN THE FAILURE OCCURRED. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED, IT FUNCTIONED PROPERLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT A SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
MY WIFE UPON RETURNING HOME COULD NOT OPEN THE DRIVER'S DOOR. I HAD TO OPEN FROM THE OUTSIDE OF THE CAR. I LATER READ THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED TO A NUMBER OF PEOPLE AND ONE TEMPORARY SOLUTION IS TO ROLL DOWN THE WINDOW AND OPEN THE DOOR FROM THE OUTSIDE. I ALSO HAVE READ THAT 2010, 2013 AND 2014 FORD FUSIONS HAVE BEEN RECALLED FOR THIS PROBLEM BUT NOT 2011. I HAVE HOWEVER FOUND THAT A NUMBER OF OWNERS OF 2011 FUSIONS HAVE ALSO HAD THIS PROBLEM. OF COURSE THE CAR WAS OUT OF GEAR, TURNED OFF, AND STATIONARY.

MY POWER STEERING SYSTEM FAILED MAKING THE CAR UNABLE TO DRIVE. THIS HAPPENED AT 77,298 MILES ON IT. MY SPECIFIC VIN NUMBER WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE 2011 FORD FUSION RECALLS FOR THE SAME PROBLEM FOR POWER STEERING FAILURE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER STEERING MODULE WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND LOCAL DEALER (BOB SIGHT FORD IN LEE SUMMIT, MO) WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE, BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V340000 (STEERING), ALTHOUGH THE FAILURE WAS THE SAME AS LISTED IN THE RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.
OVER 2 YEARS AGO, AT START UP, THE POWER STEERING ASSIST FAILURE WARNING APPEARED. I COULDN'T DRIVE THE CAR. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND WAS ADVISED OF A RECALL ON FUSIONS, BUT NOT ON MY VIN. VERY FRUSTRATING! THEY RESET THE ELECTRONICS AND IT WAS OKAY FOR ONLY A COUPLE OF MONTHS. SINCE THEN, I RECEIVE THE WARNING SEVERAL TIMES A MONTH... CONSISTENTLY. I FOUND IF I TURN THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON, IT WOULD RESET AND POWER STEERING WOULD RESUME. HOWEVER, ON THURSDAY, 6/7/18, IT WOULD NOT RESET. I HAD TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED AND WAS ADVISED STILL NO RECALL ON MY CAR, IT IS OUT OF WARRANTY NOW, AND IT CAN ONLY BE RESET ONCE; I HAVE TO PAY $1600 TO CHANGE THE RACK. THIS IS EXTREMELY DISCONCERTING. THIS IS THE SAME PROBLEM AS ORIGINAL CONCERN 2 YEARS AGO AND MY CAR IS OUTSIDE OF THE RECALL.

THEY ALSO GAVE ME NO TIMELINE ON WHEN THEY WOULD START REPAIRS OR GET THE PARTS. RENTAL CAR RECEIVED: 7/27 CALLED FOR UPDATE: 8/16 -STILL NO TIMELINE ON WHEN THEY WOULD START REPAIRS OR GET THE PARTS. THEY SAID MAYBE SOMETIME IN SEPTEMBER BUT NOTHING FOR SURE CALLED FOR UPDATE: 9/18 -STILL NO TIMELINE ON WHEN THEY WOULD START REPAIRS OR GET PARTS CALLED FOR UPDATE: 9/25 -STILL NO TIMELINE ON WHEN THEY WOULD START REPAIRS OR GET PARTS PROBLEMS: -I HAVE WORKED HARD TO BUY MYSELF A CAR THAT DOESN'T WORK DUE TO THINGS THAT ARE NOT MY FAULT AND ARE NOT BEING FIXED BY THE COMPANY -I AM MAKING PAYMENTS ON A CAR THAT I CANNOT DRIVE (PURCHASE AND INSURANCE PAYMENTS) -CAUSING MY UNNECESSARY STRESS ON TOP OF COLLEGE AND WORK -EXTRA CAR IS TAKING UP SPACE AT HOUSE WITH LIMITED PARKING -FEEL UNABLE TO GO ANYWHERE WITH THE RENTAL CAR DUE TO STRESS ABOUT MINOR DAMAGES THAT I WILL BE CHARGED FOR THAT I WOULDN'T NEED TO WORRY ABOUT IF I HAD MY OWN CAR -THE RECALL WAS ISSUED THREE MONTHS AGO AND THERE IS NO PROGRESS OR IDEA WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN IN THE FUTURE

WHILE ATTEMPTING TO LEAVE THE REST AREA, THE VEHICLE LOSS POWER STEERING. THE DRIVER CONTINUED DRIVING TO THE RESIDENCE HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE WAS DIFFICULT TO STEER. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO WHITE FORD, LLC LOCATED AT 175 OLD FARM RD, ROANOKE RAPIDS, NC 2787, TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE STEERING GEAR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS ALSO TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE STEERING GEAR OVERHEATED DUE TO THE CLOSENESS OF THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD TO THE RACK AND PINION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILLAGE WAS 137,863.

I RECEIVED A RECALL FOR MY CAR FROM JUNE, I HAVE CALLED DEALER ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS AND THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM, NOBODY CALLS ME AND GIVES ME AN ANSWER

SUPPOS DAY YHERE T NO RECALLS YET I LOOSE POWER STEERING AT AMY GIVEN TIME & NO MECHANIC CAN REPAIR DUE TO THE INFORM ME IT SHOULD REPAIRED BY ENTIRE NEW PARTS FROM FORD. HAD BEEN TAKEN IN MULTIPLE TIMES YET THEN THEY TELL ME IT SHOULD B OK BUT WON'T PROMISE IT DUE TO EVERY OTHER POWER STEERING RECALL ON THIS VEHICLE BUT MINE. NEED HELP & RESOLUTION. HAS STOPPED WORKIN MULTIPLE TIMES & HAVE HAD 3 ACCIDENTS INTO CURBS, MY OTHER VEHICLE & THX GOD WHEN IT HAPPENED ON FREEEAY I WAS ABLE TO SLAM MY BRAKES & SAFELY GET OUT OF TRAFFIC.
Upon starting the car and putting the car into motion, the steering locks and "power steering assist fault" appears on the dashboard notices. To be able to steer the car I have to turn the car off and back on. The steering wheel cannot be turned when this fault happens. Yes the problem has been confirmed by a dealer. The warning message "power steering assist fault" appears on the dashboard.

DRIVING AT 45 MPH I LOST MY POWER STEERING. TOOK IT AND THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THEY WOULD HAVE TO REPROGRAM THE COMPUTER. PICKED IT UP ON THURSDAY AND FRIDAY MORNING I LOST POWER STEERING AGAIN THIS TIME I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 55 TO 60 MPH.

TAKATA RECALL: CONTACTED MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND FORD MOTOR COMPANY HAS NOT ISSUED ANY PARTS FOR A RECALL REPAIR. THERE HAS BEEN NO INCIDENT YET. HOWEVER, THE REPAIRS ARE NOT SCHEDULED AND THEIR ARE NO PARTS AVAILABLE TO MAKE A REPAIR.
POWER STEERING SUDDENLY FAILS. I'VE HAD THIS IN FOR RECALL SERVICE AND MANUFACTURE DIDN'T WANT TO REPLACE, ONLY WANTED TO RESET CODES. NOW WON'T FIX EVEN AFTER POWER STEERING ASSIST CONTINUES TO FAIL AND FAILS AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK. WON'T FIX NOW BECAUSE VEHICLE HAS 156000 MILES. POWER ASSIST FAILS DURING TURNS, DURING NORMAL HIGHWAY DRIVING, WHEN MAKING SLIGHT TURNS-I NEVER KNOW WHEN THIS IS GOING TO HAPPEN. CAR SEEMS TO "TIGHTEN" ON IT'S OWN BUT STILL NEVER ENOUGH TIME TO KNOW IF THE ASSIST IS ACTUALLY GOING TO GO OUT OR NOT. VERY DANGEROUS. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON BOTH THE CITY STREETS AND HIGHWAYS. BOTH DURING TURNS AND NORMAL STRAIGHT DRIVING. HAS HAPPENED IN DRY WEATHER AND WET AND RAINY WEATHER. RECALL WAS NEVER FIXED PROPERLY WHEN FIRST SERVICED AND NOW WON'T GO BACK AND COMPLETELY REPLACE FAULTY PARTS. IN THE LAST 5 MONTHS, THIS HAS HAPPENED MORE THAN 20 TIMES.

I BELIEVE IF I HAD NOT STOPPED WHEN I DID I WOULD HAVE CRASHED. THE STEERING WHEEL WILL NOT MOVE AT ALL. I HAD IT TOWED TO A FORD DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY CONFIRMED IT IS THE RECALLED PART BUT IM NOT COVERED. I DID RECIEVE A LETTER IN THE MAIL ABOUT THE RECALL AND IT HAD NO DATES OR MILEAGE INFORMATION ON IT.

05/03/2018 ENTERED MY 2011 FORD FUSION SEL PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY. TO RUN AN ERRAND. I STARTED THE CAR, IT STARTED FINE, THEN THE VEHICLE CHIMED AND A MESSAGE APPEARED SAYING, " POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT". THE VEHICLES STEERING WHEEL WOULD NOT TURN. I TURNED OFF ENGINE AND RESTARTED THE CAR AND SAME THING OCCURRED AGAIN. I PULLED OUT MY PHONE AND GOOGLED THIS VEHICLE MESSAGE AND FOUND THAT THERE WERE MANY FAILURES SUCH AS THIS REPORTED ON THE INTERNET. ADDITIONALLY I FOUND THAT AFTER INVESTIGATIONS FORD HAD RECALLED NEARLY 400,000 VEHICLES FOLLOWING MANY POWER STEERING FAILURES AROUND THE COUNTRY. I CONTACTED THE FAIRWAY FORD DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE NEW IN 2011 AND REPORTED THE EVENTS ABOVE TO BRANDON IN THE SERVICE DEPT. HE LOOKED UP THE INFORMATION AND REPORTED AS FAR AS HE COULD TELL AT THAT TIME MY VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL OF 2011 AND 2012 FUSIONS?! HE REPORTED THAT MY VEHICLE WAS MANUFACTURED ON 09/03/2010, AND THE RECALL INCLUDED VEHICLES BUILT FROM 09/10/2010???. HE STATED THERE WAS NOTHING HE COULD DO TO INCLUDE MY VEHICLE INTO THE RECALL AND OFFERED ME THE FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE PHONE NUMBER AT 1800-397-3673. I CALLED THAT NUMBER AND SPOKE THE THE CS REP AND WAS TOLD RECALLS ARE VIN SPECIFIC AND MY VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED?! I ASKED TO SPEAK TO A SUPV AND WAS TOLD THE SUPERVISOR WOULD TELL ME THE SAME THING. I REQUESTED A SUPERVISOR AGAIN TO MAKE A COMPLAINT ON BEING CUT OUT OF THE RECALL BY 7 DAYS AND HOW THAT DATE WAS ARRIVED AT. THE CUST REP SAID I HAVE TO ACCEPT AN APPOINTMENT RETURN CALL 24 HOURS LATER. I AM WAITING FOR THAT RETURN CALL.

THE MESSAGE DISPLAYED ON SCREEN WAS (ASSAULT ON POWER STEERING ASSEMBLY.) THERE WAS CODE U3000 48-08 RUN ON 1.20.18, AND COULD NOT IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM. I AM NOW FILING THE SECOND COMPLAINT ON SAME PROBLEM RE-OCCURRED BUT UNDER DIFFERENT MESSAGE OF (POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT). THIS WAS RUN THRU CODE #U3000-49 ON 5-18-18 AND PROBLEM WAS IDENTIFIED AND REPAIRED.: REPAIR: REMOVED AND REPLACED P/S GEAR ASYN AND REPROGRAM P6M AND SET TOE. POWER STEERING GEAR ASYM FOR A TOTAL COST OF $1,200.41, INCLUDING LABOR. I WOULD LIKE TO BE NOTIFIED IF THERE EVER IS A RECALL ISSUED FOR THIS PROBLEM.
